I had Grapids Heating & Cooling come out for an inspection of my systems. They were on time & very flexible with my scheduling. I had something come up earlier in the day and they made time for me later in the day. The man that came, , very extremely professional, knowledgeable, and not pushing whatsoever. He laid out all my options & allowed me time to decide what I felt was the best route. Highly recommend!!
I use this company for everything HVAC-related. Theyre extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They explain everything in a way that is easy to understand so that I know what is going on - and they dont TELL me what to do. They inform/educate me, show me my options, answer my questions, and allow me to make my own decision.I dont often write reviews, but this is an exceptional company with employees who take pride in what they do. Whatever theyre doing, theyre doing something right.Thank you so much!
Justin was on time, professional and very knowledgeable of all of the systems. He took the time to show me why he was making any recommendations for service in the future along with explaining the pros and cons of each. He was very friendly, relatable and never made me feel like he was pushing any services on me. If all technicians at Grapids Heating and Cooling are this proficient then would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Our tech, Hunter, came out today for our first 6 month service. He was very pleasant to work with. He went above and beyond to do the scheduled maintenance and answer our questions about the ins and outs of our unit. He took time to look over our install notes and even caught a small oversight that could potentially save us a lot of money in the future. Every person I have worked with from GRapids from Michele and her team who did the install through our first service have been top notch!
I had a great experience beginning to end with Grapids Heating and Cooling. Brennan came to look at everything and confirmed some of our suspicions about our existing system. Erica came out to assess the situation for new equipment and helped us through the decision making process with her depth of knowledge. She took some of our concerns about existing ductwork seriously and had a follow up visit from Kevin the very next day. He took his time dismantling what he could and examining the existing conditions to give us peace of mind about installing new equipment on old infrastructure. We were even able to head off a few problems before we signed our agreement and got the install started. Nick and Connor were our primary installers, and it was obvious they took a lot of pride in their work. They were real pro’s and kept a really tidy work area. The installation ended up looking 100x better than I figured it would considering the tight space and wacky old house we live in. Spike was overseeing quality assurance/control and helped with some creative problem solving. He was out several times to make sure everything was being done right. The guys seemed to respect his experience and guidance and all made for a smooth process. Like I said, top to bottom a great experience. Maybe the best service professional experience I’ve had to date.
I’ve got to say, Bobby was so patient, thorough, and professional. I am so satisfied with the service we got. Bobby answered all of my questions and waited for my wife to get home to update her, too. These experiences can be difficult, especially if someone is trying to get you to buy this and that and you do not feel that you are getting straight answers. The service ended with my wife and I feeling confident about what happened and what the options moving forward are. While I don’t look forward to the next heating/cooling problem at my house, I am happy that we can feel confident on who to call next time.
Had issues with our AC unit after experiencing a black out a day prior.Made one call, and after being passed to someone else in the office they took my information and said someone would call within the next 30 mins, which they actually did.We got scheduled for a tech to come out, and he arrived in the front of the time window we were told. Fixed the problem, explained what was the issue and how we could prevent it with some further upgrades, which he was also able to do right then and there.Overall my experience with this company has been very good and you can tell they want to make sure they do a great job the first time and not rush through to get to the next one.Would recommend to anyone who’s looking for repair work done.
The salesperson Shane was totally awesome sat with us.. talked us through everything explain everything to where we understood it didnt go through it like textbook professional he talked to us straight up gave it to us broke down to where we could understand that he was totally awesome I would have him in my house anytime.And when I say Id have these people in my house all the time you got to realize something I dont like to have strangers in my house and these guys arent strangers theyre friends now.Service installation way above excellent I dont think there is a word to describe the installation the professionalism these guys are just off the charts .AWESOMEWebster needs to come up with a new word to describe what a job these guys did is off the charts AWESOME good just not cover it. Eric and Jackson total professionals when they came into my house like Ive known him for years or like family I would have them in my house even if I didnt have any HVAC work done AWESOME young men.
Brandon came out to diagnose and try to repair our AC unit. He was on time, professional, explained everything very well and did a thorough job. Unfortunately our repair was a big one so we decided to hold off and get a quote for a new unit. Brandon did a great job coordinating a meeting for the next morning and explaining everything. Even though we didn’t get AC tonight, I’m happy with the time Brandon took to try everything he could to fix it.
We had two guys come out today. Mitch told us everything works but its twenty years old its going to have to be replaced sooner rather then later. Then Paul came within the hour to give us a quote for a new unit and we did it! Paul sold us on not only the unit but his company and his boss. We bought the house six months ago and it tanked my credit but he stayed and made a deal that fit our needs and our credit! So far Im so happy we were able to make it work. Thank you Paul!!!! Thank you Mitch. It was so nice to sit through a sales appointment that didnt feel pressured.
The technician showed up within two hours of placing a call. He made an analysis of the system inside and out and was able to find the issue within a few minutes. He repaired the system, explaining his actions constantly. The house is now cooling down. He was professional and friendly.Price was on the high end of average from what I could determine from some Google searches, but was not exorbitant. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Hunter, our tech, was phenomenal. He was highly communicative from start to finish, constantly updating us about the process and what we could expect at each step. He provided us thorough details as he ran through all available options. Cannot recommend highly enough.
The technician was very helpful and professional. He explained aspects of my system to me and helped me to understand what would be beneficial for me to consider. When he was finished and writing up the paperwork, I was surprised to see that the company is still using the antiquated system of having a technician hand write the service details on a piece of cardstock though! With all the technology at our fingertips, there is a better way. It seems very ecologically irresponsible for a company to be wasting paper, especially a company that would probably express the importance of energy efficient systems. I appreciate Grapids for the genuine service I received today. but I hope the next time I use the company it will have updated the technology side of the paperwork.
Ethan from Grapids Heating and Cooling came out to evaluate our HVAC system. He was extremely thorough in his evaluation! I appreciate how up front he was about expected costs for repairs and that he explained/showed me pictures of concerning damage. Ethan was very polite and courteous about his recommendations, it was a pleasure working with him!
We had Brandon come out to do a maintenance check and found out we needed a complete HVAC system he was very thorough, polite and professional. Chris came and helped us choose the right options for the system, then Brady and Connor installed our HVAC system the next day on time and we’re very professional and efficient. They left no mess and explained what they did to me in a professional manner. Would highly recommend them for work and use them all again without a doubt thanks again for all you’re great work.
The salesperson started by asking me what I would expect to pay. I said around $4000 (which is the average listed on several google sites.) He then quoted $7000-$10,000 before even looking at my unit. After looking, he gave me a long sales pitch and said my new unit would be $10,000 but he had some “special discounts” he could offer including a $1500 discount if I agreed to “help them fill the schedule” by having the installation occur the next day. He knocked the price down to $6500 and then called his “manager” on speaker phone so they could discuss “helping me out with the reduced price.” They discussed (with me listening) how “they wouldn’t really make any money on this job” but we’re willing to help me out. The performance was insulting. I told him I wanted to get quotes from other companies and ultimately chose to go with a highly recommended place that is charging me $4200.
Thank you to the Grapids Heating and Cooling staff for providing 5 star service for our home. Todd was the key person in providing an overview of our current furnace and AC. He answered all questions with professionalism. The decision to replace the furnace and AC were made. The 2 installers were fantastic, and when the job was complete they went over what was done, including the new thermostat and all aspects explained. They also respectfully cleaned up when they were done too. It is so nice to have trust in this locally owned company who provided great communication and service with HVAC needs for our home. We will continue to call on Grapids for future HVAC needs.
Im very satisfied with the service I received and would recommend them to everyone. They did more than they were contracted to at no additional cost to me. The technicians were knowledgeable and super friendly, they worked late into the evening in order to finish the job in one day. Contacting them has proven to be an excellent decision.
Had the service technician (Justin) come out for a free HVAC system diagnostic. He was well informed and an excellent communicator. Walked me through all the things he was doing and readings he was taking. Unfortunately, compressor was toast but he even went the extra mile to track down all the parts that could be replaced on my 20+ year system to give us quotes for our options.
I had to get a new ac unit and furnace and Paul was absolutely phenomenal and spent over an hour with me, explained everything in detail and walked me through all my options. He was super friendly and even communicated with us after he had left. He came back during the instillation to check on the process. Couldn’t recommend him and GRapids more!
Everyone that I talked with or encountered were very knowledgeable, professional and on time. I would recommend GRapids to anyone that needs service on their AC or needs to replace a furnace and hot water heater. They came on a Friday to give me an estimate and they were here on Saturday to install.

The company was very accommodating of my schedule. They communicated via text and/or phone, as needed. Mitch was the technician who came to my house. He was polite, professional and communicated what services he performed and recommendations for heating plans. There was no heavy sales pitch; just facts and recommendations.
Had a technician come out three weeks ago for repairs and didn’t check refrigerant levels after the machine was running and paid around $850. A few weeks later my AC broke again and had another tech come out and was told further repairs would be around $1,500 or to replace it completely. Had I known the first repair wouldn’t have done anything and that my AC would be breaking again so soon, I would’ve used that $850 to buy a whole new AC unit. On top of this, I was then charged $54 for a tech to come out the second time without anything resolved. Over the phone, I was told that there could be some sort of compensation / refund for the amount I paid but haven’t heard anything back or further about this. However, Justin the tech (I think), was very nice and understanding. Overall, I spent a lot of money for a repair for it to break again since the issue wasn’t identified fully the first time.
Our technician Alex did a fantastic job. He kindly and patiently responded to all of my questions and took his time on our tune up. He explained things in a way that was easy to understand. He was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I appreciated him being respectful of our home by wearing shoe covers at all times. I would recommend him to anyone who asks. Communicating with Grapids was easy via texting.Update: Today we had another inspection on our new system and our technician Kyle was amazing. He educated us on pertinent information and listened to us well. He was very kind and did a superb job. I would also recommend him to anyone who needed it. Thank you, Kyle!
I would give this company a five-star rating. They took out our old furnace and air conditioner and put in all new. They said they were going to be here at 8:00 and they were. They had it all done in few hours . We are nonsmokers and we did not have to put up with any secondhand smoke or cigarette butts outside. They laid down a covering on our wood floors and carpet going downstairs and cleaned up their mess. We also received a new updated ecobee thermostat in which we knew nothing about and they explained every little detail to us. They treated us like customers should be treated. Thanks again guys.
I had routine maintenance done on a unit I purchased from them a few year ago. They are good at contacting me for the appointment and the technicians are always courteous and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Grapids Heating & Cooling and will always call them first for my HVAC needs.
My hvac went down the Friday before Memorial Day. I was quoted on Saturday and had a new system installed on Tuesday. Great service, the install guys were great and knowledgeable. Of course I did not want to spend the cost of a new system but dealing with GRapids heating made it easier. Great company and employees.
The most annoying salespeople you ever meet in your life that try to sell you packages that are double what anyone else is quoting.And yes Julie, thats correct. You wont find my name because it was under my sisters name but Grapids kept charging my credit hard a stupid monthly fee to have someone give me a one-time quote. And dont even get me started about their hideous billboards across town.For the love of all things good in the world, the last thing I want to do is talk to any more Grapids employees.
We had a great experience with the installation of a replacement furnace, A/C, and hot water tank. The only thing keeping the overall experience from being 5 star, is the sales quote process. I had the same feeling as when you go to buy a new car, right down to the part where they have to go talk to the manager to get a price ok, and you know they are going to come back higher. Even if we got the beat price ever given, we felt like we had to work too hard for it, and it became adversarial with the salesman. Not the kind of experience I would want to duplicate, and who knows, I could have paid $1000 or $2000 more than the person they quoted the day before. The advertisement for Buy an A/C, get a free furnace isn’t the exact deal either, so the whole sales process leaves you feel dirty at the end of it. Hopefully the product is quality and works for years so we don’t have to go through all this again anytime soon.
They actually responded to the email form submission on their site quickly and got someone to my house during a very busy week. Justin was able to identify all the problems in the system and get everything moving towards fixing the system entirely. Excellent service all around.
The inspections were very thorough. I received a detailed list and explanation of the status and potential problems regarding my HAC and water heater systems, along with cost estimates to resolve issues. Although there were numerous concerns pointed out to me, I did not feel pushed to make any commitments at this time. The service person was professional and friendly.
Great diagnostic of my AC unit and Furnace. Very thorough and walked me through everything.I opted out of the service because of the cost. Not to say they are more expensive than other HVAC companies.. but most parts recommended for replacement are a fraction of the cost and can be ordered on Amazon.Cleaning blowers, coils, pumps etc. are also far overpriced in the industry and an easy upsell for unaware homeowners.Long story short I am doing the recommended work myself for $150 (including the diagnostic fee i paid GRCooling) compared to the quoted $2000. Again, great diagnostic, but seriously not worth the price gouging for maintenance and cleaning this industry is known for. I gave 4 stars knowing its an industry problem, not a company problem. They were professional, on time, and thorough.
This is the 2nd time I have had Grapids out for my yearly HVAC tune-up and maintenance, and both times they were VERY professional and the last technician (Justin) was very informative and it was a pleasure to have him in my home. I would highly recommend them for any of your HVAC needs and they also offer great specials at certain times of the year. I will definitely be using them again!
From the quick and immediate service I received to solve the initial problem, Justin was extremely professional, thorough, and informative in his inspection. Witch allowed me to make the right decision for my family and I. That was to fix the problem. And to the repairman I briefly got to meet. Because I was on my way out the door. Thank you! When I returned home later that night. The system was on and running.To the quote I received from Chris. Whom was all so extremely professional, thorough, and informative. Witch again allowed me to make the right decision for my family and I. Not one time did Chris make feel pressured, guilty, or ashamed in witch way I was trying to make a discussion. As a home owner. And I’m sure you can agree, homeowners we try to save any type of money we can. And any type of equipment we can, so We don’t have to spend as much money as we have to! Chris was very good at explaining all the highs/lows & ups/downs to the different scenarios I could have chose from. And with that, I chose to replace the old and bring in the new!!!And the final installation crew. Brady, Tyler, Jim. As I have said before the professionalism, the thoroughness, and speed in witch they worked. Was tremendously exceptional!! And the extra care they took to put things in more covenant spots= Drains/filter’s/braces. It actually made me feel as if it were their home, they where installing this unit in. And for that I’m extremely grateful! And thank you!From the first phone call, to the final hand shake!From start, to finish!From left, to right!From top, to bottom!And from just (fricken)all around!And for the last time, l am extremely satisfied with level of Quickness! As others have pointed out, this company has a staggering amount of 5 star reviews in a very short period.My experience started out fairly positive but during and after the install, that took a nosedive.The install techs were sloppy and unprofessional. If you work from home and have any meetings planned, be sure you stay on mute otherwise an occasional swear word or laugh will be heard by others in your meeting. I hate sounding like a prude, but I just cant chance the wrong person hearing the wrong word and then I get canned.After the work was complete, I was still working and wasnt able to give my full attention. After they left and I was done with work, I went and checked out the mess. Check out the pictures if you want to see the craftsmanship. They also left a light dangling from the ceiling.To their credit, when I reached out to the sales guy, he responded quickly. They had someone come out to try and clean it up as much as possible. Thats why I gave two stars instead of one.I wanted to wait a few months before I did a review but we just had the free checkup today. They sold us a required component that was never offered or brought up during the initial install. His excuse for missing it was they are mainly focused on finishing the install, which makes perfect sense judging by my first experience...I would not recommend this company to friends or family.
Neil was amazing!!! Our humidifier was not operating so he wired terminal board and now it works! The thermostat to the humidifier is not functioning so we will be using your services again to have Neil installed a new main Nest thermostat in the fall. Thanks so much Grapids!!!!
After a rocky start and some dropped promises. I can say this. They are a bit higher priced yes. But the trade off is for a company that for the first time in my life, truly wants to make the customer happy. They have gone WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND in the long run. The install guys missed a few things that i found out a while later. I called explained what had happened. Within 24 hours they did what should have happened on day one along with ALOT extra to make me as a customer feel whole. Not only were they out and fixed a faulty ignition with in a hour of calling but sent out extra techs the next day to do duct work FREE. I can not say it enough. Yes they are more expensive. The value added services are well worth the money.
I got a $97 AC/furnace inspection from them, and the tech did a very thorough and great job. He was in my home for around an hour. He was very professional and found a lot of problems with my system. He recommended a full system replacement (it was 18 years old). For some reason, he was not able to give me any kind of quote and had to send out a sales representative to give me a quote - kind of annoying, but whatever. I would recommend GRapids for inspection.The sales representative came and she did another inspection (why). She then spent the next 2 hours using various sales tactics on me. I was working from home and had to get work done, she did not seem to get the hint. She originally tried to sell me hospital grade air filters for $20k! After a lot of telling her that I want the lowest possible price on just the basic AC/furnace she finally gives me their lowest price. I say that I need to get more quotes, and she says let me see if my manager can lower the price more. Proceeds to call her manager on speaker and waste 20 more minutes of my time on this sales tactic leading to the manager dropping the price by $300 if I sign for it today. No thank you.In the end, I got my furnace/AC replaced by Canfield Plumbing. They were $3000 dollars cheaper than GRapids cheapest price I was given, and did an amazing job. The entire inspection and quoting process for them took them around 10 minutes.Ultimately I think GRapids could offer more competitive prices if they did waste everyones time with slimy sales tactics and instead just directly addressed the customers needs.
Heater went out after power outage, technician came out to diagnose. Found I had an uncommon older system they no longer serviced or installed but the technician went out of his way determine the root cause of the issue and once he did find it offered recommendations even though Grapids Heating & Cooling couldnt do the inevitable replacement I ended up needing. That expertise goes a long way.
Very impressed with the entire team that we dealt with. They explained everything and showed us the issues with our old system. While the installation did not go as smoothly as they wanted( not their fault… manufacturing fault), they made sure we were taken care of. Top notch! If I could give more stars I would!
Our air conditioning unit went out over the Fourth of July weekend. We have a newborn at home and we’re worried that it would take us a couple weeks to get the place cool again. Grapids made sure we didn’t suffer more than we had to. Our technician, Bobby Bissell, provided all the options, fixed our unit in record time and also helped us save money. Not only did he help us fix the unit, he provided valuable insight on maintaining our system, was extremely personable and even answered some questions for our friend who was over while our system being fixed.Bobby Bissell is the Michael Jordan of hvac repair. He is the Wayne Gretzky of customer service. He is the Lionel Messi of assistance. If you look up the definition of dedication in the dictionary, you will read his life story. If you want to learn how to make customers happy, just ask him. The man is an absolute legend in his craft.Grapids is absolutely the place to go to. Thanks you for your quick and well done work!

Justin from GRapids Heating and Cooling came out to inspect my HVAC at my home.He was very personable and knowledgeable about my particular system. Justin walked me through what he was observing and detailed anything he thought might need immediate attention and possible future issues.I would recommend GRapids.
We knowingly paid top dollar for what was expected to be top quality service. We had our furnace replaced, water heater replaced, and a new AC installed. The water heater’s gas line had a leak when they left (they didn’t perform gas leak test or bubble test upon installing new pipes), I had to ask for my 20 year old gas valves to be replaced (for some reason that isn’t standard on new installs for this company), they didn’t reseal the water heater exhaust vent (when they came back out after I called, they just put new silicone over the old, no cleanup), they didn’t seal the electrical wires leaving my basement going out to the new AC (it was behind the electrical box so maybe they didn’t think I’d notice?).We made the installation as easy as possible. We removed the basement ceiling so they could easily run everything, we supplied them with water bottles, pop tarts, and individual bags of chips to keep morale up during their work day.It should’ve been an easy 5-star customer. By no means am I a professional, which has me worried there’s plenty more wrong I didn’t catch. My friends mentioned they wouldn’t have noticed anything but the gas leak.At this point, I wouldn’t recommend to family or friends.The attached photos show:1. Left side is the new hole they made and sealed, the right is the water heater exhaust they didn’t seal up2. That’s a junction with soapy water to show the gas leak they left the house with (you could easily smell it when you opened the door)3. Behind the electrical shut off box, the hole with wires coming out from the house was not sealedUpdate: all has been fixed and even follow up appointment to check the system for the 3 year service plan has already been performed. Good company, good employees, just a one-off experience if I had to attest to the original post.At this point I would recommend their services
I purchased a house with an almost brand new air conditioner installed in 2019 from grapids heating and cooling, shortly after we moved in we noticed the a/c was not cooling so naturally I called grapids sense they were the ones that installed the a/c a year prior, they sent out a technician that said there was a leak and they couldnt find it and charged me to fill it back up , this fix lasted the rest of the summer before it all leaked out again, then the following spring the had grapids come back out and refill my a/c again on 2 separate occasions and try to find the leak, at this point I felt like I was scammed so I called a local small a/c repair company to come out and check my system. You have to remember at this point I spent well over 3000$ all together refilling my system and on grapids techs looking for leaks. The local a/c company I called had the leak fixed- system filled within an hour. He said there was a end cap that looked like it was left purposely left loose , he claimed that it was the most obvious- easiest fixs hes ever done. Just happy that my a/c is fixed and I hope if you go with grapids you have a better - cheaper experience than me

Kyle was outstanding today for our routine check; very knowledgeable and took the time to review options on a system upgrade we are looking to do.
Technicians and consultants are all knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, and helpful. Prompt arrival, and they let you know when they are on their way.After a nine-hour job, our four-year-old said, “I wish they were still here. They were so nice!”Superior customer service.

This company does nothing but waste your time… after spending time with a repair consultant, and having the pricing needing to be called into the office and exaggerated … you then have to spend 90 minutes the next day with a comfort consultant who comes in and measures your rooms and windows for absolutely no reason and then they pull out a book with preprinted prices, which doesn’t even reflect all the measuring they did… and their pricing is so ridiculously high… this company is horrible!

DO NOT LET THEM SET UP A LOAN THROUGH SERVICE FINANCE FOR YOU. We purchased a new home a few months ago and had Grapids come out to look at our AC unit as it wasn’t working. They came out and told us we needed a new unit and a new furnace. We had a salesman come out and do his speech. Started at the premium package at about $23,000. After saying there’s no way he suggested the lowest package at about $13,000 but was talked down to $8,000. We agreed. He had set up our loan with Service Finance and told us 12 months same as cash so as long as we paid on time and paid it off in a year, no interest. Everything was installed fine, the actual workers did a good job. Checked my statement for upcoming payment and noticed part of our monthly was going towards interest. Called SF, customer service was absolutely no help. As soon as I inquired, all she said was well you signed the contract so you have to pay interest. I even explained we were told 12 months same as cash and she just said nope, you signed. My husband even called the salesman who set us up and said the exact same thing. Sorry, you signed for it, nothing we can do. We 100% understand this is our fault for not looking it over closer, but it’d be nice to know the company you’re giving your business to is looking out for you.
Jim did a great job, coming out first thing in the morning the same day we called to fix our furnace the Monday after Christmas! He presented us with various options to improve our air quality based on our needs, and got us the best deal he could for our new filter system. He was gracious and kind, making sure he communicated everything clearly and teaching me how to replace filters, etc. Highly recommend Grapids!
Got me in quick and took great care of me. Super friendly, open and transparent. Kyle knew his stuff but still took time to quadruple check everything. I had called because my thermostat wasnt getting power from the house, but Kyle caught and fixed a leak that could have short circuited the whole system and cost me thousands of dollars. Top notch. Highly recommend.
I already forgot his name but i will not forget his service! This was an incredibly complicated and stressful time for me, and the stress was causing me to shut down and panic. This particular repair person was AMAZING. Kind, patient, and explained how the heating system works and how I can prevent future issues SO well. The issue with my furnace was solved quickly and thoroughly, to make sure no other issues would arise. He even helped knock down the price which was my biggest concern. I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone just because of this wonderful individual. Hopefully Grapids can sort out this mans name, cause he deserves a raise!
Dont waste your time. I gave them a 1 star only because Google required something. We set our appointment with Grapids Heating and Cooling a week ago for a new furnace and AC quote. My husband left work early to be here for our appointment time. They called 15 minutes before they were scheduled to be here and said they had to cancel. NOT cool people. That is not what I call a professional business. They lost our business for sure.
We had Grapids install a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. They completed the big project in one day, even after running into a few problems. There were several workers involved, in and out all day since some of the work had to be done outside. They put a runner down in our house and used the same door all day. All of the workers were busy all day, working hard to complete the project. It was 12 degrees outside that day. After they were done they cleaned everything up! The whole crew was very polite and efficient. We highly recommend Grapids Heating and Cooling!
They gave us an inspection and was able to install our new AC and furnace within 2 days of losing heat. We lost heat overnight and they came within 2 hours of our call and stayed to make sure it was working right. 1 week later they dropped off these sweet cookie basket!
Service person (Alex) did an amazing job at diagnostic and explained what had occurred with my furnace. Explained options available and quoted for repair of unit. I asked about pricing for new unit and was offered same day service. From my initial call I was treated very professionally. Very happy with service call.
Great experience with Duncan at Grapids! He was very thorough explaining what was needed and the costs. Also the guys, Alex and Brady that replaced our furnace and installed an AC were very professional and informative. They were able to come my only day off during the week to do the installations and didnt mind my very persistent pets trying to get attention from them all day. Would definitely recommend!
Grapids has a terrific members service plan. Today Bobby checked our furnace, thermostat, and humidifier. He also changed the filter and made sure everything was in good working order. He was very personable and spent a few extra minutes conversing with me. In my book that makes for a great service call. Thank you!
Our furnace stopped working late Thursday evening and so we submitted an online form for potential service the following day. Friday morning we received a call that a technician would be en route within a half hour. When Jon arrived he was kind, polite, prompt and gave clear explanations about the problem. Even with having to go pick up a motor from a supplier, he was completed before noon that day! We are so happy with the whole experience and we will definitely be going to this company for future needs! Definitely recommend!
Extremely timely, professional, and thorough. Kyle helped me identify our main issue and make the minor repair immediately. He then did a full diagnostic on the furnace and water heater, and since I am a new homeowner, taught me everything I need to know and be on the lookout for. Hunter came over today to fix our furnace and was very professional and courteous. Although he diagnosed the problem first with a part we didn’t need, he didn’t charge us for the part and ended up fixing the issue correctly. I’ll be using this company going forward for all my heating and cooling needs.
I had an excellent experience with Grand Rapids Heating and Cooling. Max the technician was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, and explained in detail the issues I was having with my furnace. He worked his magic, and my furnace is working very well!!! I will definitely use them again,and recommend Grand Rapids Heating and Cooling to my family, and friends.
We were having issues with our water heater right before Thanksgiving and Grapids was able to get a tech out the same day to diagnose. Tanner was the technician who came out and was very professional and timely with the work he was doing at our home. We needed a new heating coil, which they do not carry in their van, so I assumed it’d be a long lead time, but they’re actually able to get the component and come out to do the swap the next day. With this being right before Thanksgiving I was nervous about how quickly we’d be able to get this taken care of, but fortunately Grapids is coming in clutch to save the day. We ended up buying their service plan for $15/month as well as they wave the inspection fees and come out twice a year to check the A/C, water heater, and furnace. Very impressed with our experience so far and would highly recommend!
We had Nick over for a tune-up and he took great care of us! He was thorough, kind, and informative. We’ve been working with Grapids for 5 years and haven’t had a bad experience yet. I would - and have! - recommend them to anyone. I also recommend having the Service Partner Plan. They do regular check-ups (included!), discounts on parts and service, and show up super fast when something goes wrong. I was hesitant when they offered the plan, but I PROMISE you it’s worth every penny!
Mitch came to my house for a furnace service and discovered a cracked heat exchanger. While the news he provided felt like a kick in the shins for a new house, he was extremely professional and helpful. The pricing was reasonable and the service was quick and efficient. I would recommend them for anyone looking for a furnace inspection.
We had Duncan from Grapids out to check on our HVAC system in March. He spent over an hour explaining our options to us and they were even able to have someone come out to repair the very next day (didnt work for us because we would be out of town). When our system began acting up in September, we called to have them come back out. Luke came out and was amazing at explaining to us what needed to be done with our unit. He said we would need someone to come out to quote us and we requested Duncan. Duncan again came out and went above and beyond what we could have ever expected at explaining to us yet again what to expect with Grapids service. We ended up having our AC and heater completely replaced by Eric, Aidan and Sam who were phenomenal. Overall, the company was such high quality and we are very happy with our choice to have Grapids take care of our home needs. Highly recommend.
Alex made our home heating tune-up experience wonderful. He was professional and courteous and on time. He explained everything in detail so that I could even understand it. Since there was two different homes that he was servicing for me today we found him to be most patient with our concerns. I gladly took his card and look forward to him servicing our furnace personally. You need more employees like Alex. He is an asset to your company.
We had a new furnace and AC installed this summer and a technician came out and did an end of the year tune up. Kyle was friendly (we chatted about rock hunting :)) and professional. He changed the furnace filter and gave me a refresher how to adjust the settings on the humidifier. He explained the invoice in detail and answered all of my questions. I was very happy with this service call!
Our AC wasnt performing the way that it should on a Friday. We called Grapids Saturday early morning and they set us up with the next open available time for a technician to come and do a thorough inspection of everything, inside and out, same day. By noon, I received a text from Tanner saying he was on the way! Im very happy with his professionalism, he didnt mind me watching over his shoulder and asking several questions while he was here. Explained everything he was doing, what my readings were for our equipment. Friendly, straight forward service. Able to make follow up appointments for other services quickly without long wait times. Our technician, John, worked all afternoon to troubleshoot our faulty hot water heater. When we both concluded that this was fruitless and needed to replace, he worked hard to prioritize our case, get an installation lined up for Saturday morning and make sure that we were delighted with the service. Hands down, this was the best service I’ve ever received from ANY company!! From the ease of booking my appointment (they were able to get me in the next day!) to the above and beyond service provided by our technician, Max, truly an all around amazing experience! We just recently purchased our home and didn’t know anything about our heating and cooling system and with winter rapidly approaching, we figured we should probably have someone come out and just make sure everything is up to par. Max did so much more than this, he throughly inspected our system and even took the time to show me the ins and outs of our system. He did this in a way that was very easy to understand, making it very clear he was very experienced in what he was doing. He took the time to go over recommendations and provided reasonable quotes for all the suggested work. Not once did I feel that Max was taking advantage of me or that he was recommending unnecessary things, which unfortunately is pretty common this day and age. I could go on for hours about how amazing this experience was, but all you need to know is if you ever need service for your heating and cooling system, they will not disappoint! Mitch did a phenomenal job. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We already knew prior to the appointment that we would be getting a recommendation to replace rather than repair, but we never felt overwhelmed or pressured. We’ve been using GR Heating and Cooling for 3 years and have always been happy with the level of service and pricing, as well as the detailed information provided by each technician.
I was apprehensive at first, I had scheduled the appointment and forgotten to tell my husband. So he was out fishing when our technician arrived. However, Alex was phenomenal. He took time to show me pictures of the inside of my heating and cooling units and explained the issues so that I was able to understand. He was courteous, polite and wore covers on his shoes without my asking him to. He was not pushy when he explained my repair choices and respected my decision. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was with GR Heating and cooling.

Our AC went out in August. They sent a technician to check it out on a Saturday. He did a thorough inspection and reviewed our options. Given the age of our AC and furnace and cost to fix the AC, we went with replacing our system. Michelle came out that day and reviewed our options. She was friendly and enjoyable to work with on our project. They were able to install our new units on Monday. Nick, Brady, Brent and Tyler worked all day. They did a great job! We were impressed by their professionalism, work ethic, and finished products. I would recommend them to my family and friends.
I highly recommend Grapids Heating & Cooling, their salesman Duncan is very professional, friendly and very informative about the products that he sales. Ive never had a salesman that does a more thorough inspection of things as Duncan to make sure there would be no surprises. The installation of my new furnace, air conditioner and hot water heater was flawless. They started and finished when they said they would. All of the insulation crew was very polite and courteous of my house. They also have a seasonal system check program that Im looking forward to taking advantage of.

Grapids did an awesome job and far exceeded my expectations. Our A/C went out on a Sunday night, The after hours receptionist t took my info, and later Sunday night Grapids contacted me stating they would be to my house in the morning. The tech was there at 8:15AM Monday, and explained the issue with my old system and options to resolve it. I choose to talk to a sales rep, who came out an hour later. The Grapids salesperson, David, did a very nice job explaining the many options in systems and financing options with a no pressure delivery. Knowing my system was going to need to be changed out in the near future, I choose to do it all at once, as well as the 19 yr old water tank. To my surprise, they could do it the next morning. Tuesday morning at 8AM, the team arrived. After a short tour of the furnace area, they gave me an estimated time they would be done. They quickly went to work, and did a fantastic job of protecting our home from any damage or messes that typically can happen doing this work. What I really loved was how they definitely thought of how to lay out the new system and the whys. The furnace and water tank area has a much cleaner look to it, and is easier to get around then in the past. It took almost 12hrs, but they finished near the time they estimated. Even though it was a long, hot day for everyone. They did not leave until all my questions and concerns addressed. A few hours later our home was cool as can be.Everyone at Grapids should be commended with their ability to communicate with the customer. At no time, was I left hanging on any of my open questions. Their ability to respond and attention to detail were fabulous. We are very pleased.
Grapids provided 5 star service from beginning to end. Michael the Service technician was thorough in explaining what was causing our system to run poorly. 20 year old set up needed replacing. Duncan the salesman was over within the hour to walk us through the sales process and get us set up with what we needed at a fair cost. He was trustworthy, not pushy or trying to up sell us with add ons. Brent and Chase were here first thing in the morning and got everything installed in one day. They went above and beyond expectations. Everyone was very professional and did an outstanding job!
My furnace quit working on a freezing cold Saturday. Jordan was @ my place within an hour & cleared a blockage, checked everything over & got it up & running & for a very fair price. Im so relieved & will definitely use Grapids for all my heating & cooling needs from now on.
We had to unexpectedly get an entire system update, Grapids was prompt at addressing and resolving the our issue. Our installation happened the day after and was just a single day install and haul off the old parts! I felt the price was fair for the labor and tier of appliances we were purchasing. Kyle arrived on time after texting his arrival time. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informative, and a great communicator. I asked about smoke alarms that are installed and where I might place the extra carbon monoxide detector. Other no pressure suggestions were made and he did a thorough check on our heating and air conditioning systems, thermostat, hot water tank, as well as change the filter in the furnace. I appreciated being able to ask questions and receiving the information he provided. Kyle would receive a 5 Star rating from me!

They came for a system inspection and it was so refreshing to have such a nice company come into your home, be respectful, and not try to force you into anything. I’ll start with the good. The guy who came out to do an A/C tuneup was very professional and knowledgeable. He then suggested having a comfort advisor come out to quote a new A/C unit. She was very professional and is a great saleswoman. Now the bad.... The tech was scheduled to come around 12 to 2, but didn’t arrive until 4pm. Not a great start. All I needed was an A/C tuneup, but then checked out our furnace and water heater (fine I’ll take your free check up with that) but then advised we have several issues that needed to be fixed with all three. Need a new water heater (false), need a new furnace (false), need a new A/C unit (somewhat true). Long story short, received a quote after an hour and half comfort advising (she did a great job explaining and trying to sell) but quote for A/C was $10K+ but a package of that with Furnace is $12K to $15K based on add on features. My dad just had his A/C unit installed for around $3,500 from a very reliable company. Great tune up, great advice, not great price. Huge scam by the owners thinking their prices are even reasonable. Waste of time
Nick and I think Brett? Were out and installed our new furnace and ac NEXT DAY after putting in the order at 8pm the night before. Installed professionally with great explanation of everything. We even had a different thermostat than expected, so they quickly arranged for it to be switched out ASAP, no questions asked. Del was also the most friendly sales person I have ever dealt with, such a great company. Highly reccomend.
GRapids Heating & Cooling provides excellent service and I highly recommend them. Our service technician, Alex, was extremely knowledgeable, communicated clearly, answered all of our questions and was punctual. Alex walked my wife and I through a full inspection of our furnace and water heater fielding all of our questions. Being a new homeowner that knows very little about our HVAC, I appreciated that Alex invited me to tag along while we serviced our furnace (changing the humidifier pad and installing an electrical shock protector), water heater (flushing the tank) and installing a electrical shock protector on our A/C unit. My boiler went out on a very cold evening in November. It was after hours and I called multiple Heating & Cooling companies (including the company who originally installed by boiler). We had our furnace, AC and water heater all installed by this company a year ago. They did an excellent job, and were all extremely professional and friendly on install day. I then had them out today for a yearly evaluation, and the tech that came out was SO nice and took the time to make sure I understood what he was doing and made some recommendations without being pushy at all which made me much more comfortable to discuss. This company is professional, responsive, provides quality work and overall I am VERY happy we chose them for such a big purchase.

Hunter was great! I was running late because I got stuck at work and had to pick my child up and he gave me time to get there and was awesome! He was very thorough and let me know about what all he was going to be doing how long it would take and was very personable! The appointment was quick and the price was pretty good. I am waiting on one more quote to come back before deciding on who will be doing the vents, but as far as our first home goes and first time doing this Hunter made this process quick and easy! 2022-05-12The team at Grapids is amazing! Justin came out to look over our system and diagnose the issues we were having. He was super friendly and very thorough going over all the information. We ended up needing to replace our system and they literally had their team out the next day. Brent and Harris came and replaced our furnace and A/C and again, they were very thorough. They kept me informed of where they were at in the process and after installation, walked me through everything I needed to know about our new system. Very impressed with Grapids. 2022-05-13I can’t say more nice things about this company! We reached out to our original installing AC unit company, whom cancelled on us twice in the same week and recommended we find someone else. After researching and reaching out to several companies, Grapids was the most professional, kind, and helpful! They were able to get me on the schedule for service the next day and were able to come earlier than originally scheduled which for us was PERFECT! The office staff was so helpful and kind on the phone, and Kyle came out to service our unit. He was so professional and nice. Talked me through all of our options and diagnosed our AC problem quickly. We now have our furnace and AC unit running again. We have a plan on what needs to happen with our system in the future and plans to come out routinely to make sure we everything is working the way it should. Kyle was great and I will recommend Grapids to EVERYONE!

2022-04-18Alex was absolutely awesome, very informative and tried everything to figure out the problem. Chris, the salesman, clearly explained our options and never felt pushy. And then the techs Brady and Jim finished the project incredibly quickly and left the space looking better than it was when they came. The pricing is very fair and was lower than expected, which is always welcome. Their Service Partner Plan, at the time of posting this, is 15 dollars a month which is cheaper than some competitors and is a great deal for the perks you receive. 2022-02-17I dealt with 3 separate technicians and all were extremely helpful and friendly. They took time to answer any questions I had and were respectful of my home. Miles was just out to do some furnace repairs and did an excellent job and answered every question I had for him. He also discussed ways to more efficiently heat our home and try to limit the amount of propane we go through during the winter months. I would recommend this business and will continue to use them in the future.

2022-02-02After getting a referral from our neighbors for Grapids, we decided to call them when we had an issue . Max from Grapids came to check out our furnace and assess the noise we heard coming from our furnace. He was incredibly polite and professional and helped me understand the issue and addressed any questions I had in detail. He took a look at our water heater as well and gave us advice to replace it due to it leaking. He gave us quotes as well as different options and helped us through everything. I would highly recommend Grapids to anyone and we were pleased with the great care Max took with us today!

2022-07-07Used Grapis Heating and Cooling after I got a promotional flyer in the mail, and I will say this, their tech guys were very good and thorough. They even manage to correct an AC issue I had with no extra charge.I did need my water heater replaced, which the tech did confirm, but the quote was just too high based on my research . Maybe they offer a better quality water heater, or a better warranty program, etc, but tough to justify paying $1,000 more than a reputable competitor for a water heater install as a brand new home owner.Not blaming the tech on the estimate, as I am sure he is just doing as instructed, but their estimates were on the high end. They also brought up the comfort advisor option to me but it was in no way pushy and he did give me a range as to what to expect.So overall, great techs and service, but, ultimately it comes at a higher cost if you to get any major work done.

2022-05-04Called Grapids after another company (which I will not name here) installed a new AC unit incorrectly and wouldnt honor their warranty and fix the issue. After weeks of trying to get in touch with the other company and failing, we finally decided to try Grapids. They answered the phones immediately and were able to come out and take a look at the system the next day. They had great communication leading up to the appointment and were able to identify and fix the issue quickly and painlessly. When all was said and done the prices for the fix were incredibly fair as well. Definitely more likely to use Grapids in the future versus going back to the other company. Definitely recommend.
