Comment: Brought a 2012 Dodge challenger from this place and it was dangerous. They knew it was in and accident where someone mcgivered the bumper back on with plastic rivets or something and 3 months later the bumper hanging off. I thought someone back into it when it was Park is why I didnt know right away. Opened the hood and noticed all parts that supposed to connect the bumper was missing. Too late for the lemon law. Ive been had. I saw nothing on the carfax.

Comment: Absolutely horrific experience with the incompetence of this dealership. I will never buy another Nissan from Hanlees Hilltop and I dont recommend you do either. After receiving my 2023 Aryia, I was only provided with one key. The manager said they would send me the second via mail. A week goes by, no key, no communication. After continuous requests for an update, I was told that the service department had lost the key and I would have to purchase a new key for $550 and submit the invoice to corporate for review. Ummm no. You lost the key, you replace it. End of story.Nissan is fully responsible for the replacement of the key that was included in the purchase of the vehicle.The key is not even the real issue. The complaint and cause for the one star is the complete incompetence in their resolution attempt for their own admitted mistake.DO BETTER!

Comment: Just a heads up. I took my 2018 Titan in for its 15,000 mile oil change last year. The service included new key fob batteries. My key fobs died after 1 year. It turns out they used Dollar Store Sun Beam cheap batteries. Good thing I requested my used batteries at the time and they are Duracells and I put them back in and they are still good.

Comment: Bought a used car from here in May 2024. Overall experience was good initially, then dropped to okay.The good: salesman was no pressure, price was decent, and they didnt try to harangue me into financing it or getting a warranty. I noticed a couple of things wrong (alignment, spark plugs not inspected & replaced, car needed detailing, and fob battery). I left it with them and they did get it aligned.The disappointing:  The wash and detailing didnt happen, neither did the key fob battery replacement. They said they were going to inspect the spark plugs and I asked them to replace them since theyd be in there anyways (since that is what the service interval required it); they did inspect but did not replace it. When I picked it up the car it had a chip in the windshield. I suppose I could have made a fuss about it, but it was 6.30pm, Service was closed, and I had driven from San Francisco to pick it up - I didnt want to waste time arguing and doing another roundtrip.Conclusion: Id buy from them again, but Id make sure to take the day off when doing the pickup so I have enough time to be a PITA if things are not as promised.

Now after purchased it seems that Hanlees Nissan Richmond Ca has turned thier backs from Nissan EV owners by denying them to do courtesy charge...its a real sour note and prolly not buy a car at this dealership in future.

The service girl at the desk, I think her name was vivian called me to tell me what was wrong as soon as the techs found the problem. She was was knowledgably and Friendly and answered all my questions. Comment: Lets start with the Avoiding a warranty issue Nissan knows they have a key malfunction when you replace your batteries on your key fob. Google what Im saying the CSA which was female try to tell me that the batteries need to be replaced in my fob but I told her. That I already did that and now I have no locking or unlocking of my buttons which is frustrating. When somebody tells you to replace the batteries and then. When? You replace the batteries the key stops working 100%. So this is what we call another scam by Nissan. That avoids taking responsibility for their piece of c*** car. The 2019 Nissan sentra has so many recalls so many lemon defects. But they dont want to fix it said from Nissan. what Ive been told that Nissan has locking software and hardware. To where no one can replace your key unless you go to Nissan itself which is not legal. I installed a bypass cable to get around Nissans so called defective key fobs when its really them blocking everybody from getting a replacement key outside of their company which is sad but once I installed the 2017 ADC bypass cable for nissan sentra Boom I can reprogram my key with not defects I can unlock my car lock my car walk up and push the button on the door and now my key fob works so Another example of Nissan trying to take more money from the consumer because their Company is a lemon source. Dont ever buy me? Song dont ever believe what service technician tells you because they will lie to your face because they do not get paid for a warranty job

So I make the appointment and when I dropped the car the Girl said that it will be one and a half hour. I told her that I have an appointment in orderto get faster service. But I wait there for 1 hour and 45 minutes and asked for the car they have not even started, and I was told that it will be at least another 45 minutes to wait.The Technician s were just walking around and acting like they dont care about it. I did have to get my car out of that place. They are so irresponsible. They dont respect other people time.

After a long drive, I arrived and learned that the vehicle had already been purchased the day before I confirmed our appointment, which he conveniently failed to mention on the phone. I received a call about a month later, to my surprise, saying my car had arrived. The agent that left the message was unavailable every time I tried to call back, for weeks. When I called today, I was told that the factory had discontinued my car, so the order was never approved, so 3 months later, Im starting over with a different dealer. I understand its a tough time to buy a car, but I dont understand why they couldnt take my calls or tell me sooner that the order wasnt approved after Id given them a deposit.

Comment: I came here a few years ago to trade in my car. I chatted with someone online about a Nissan Rogue or Nissan Kicks, but was more interested in a Nissan Kicks. When I got there he told me they sold out of the Nissan Kicks. When I was trading in my car it was in my brothers name and he didnt have to be there,he didnt even sign anything, I kept asking the sales guy he said dont worry. I did end up getting the car in my name, which was my plan. I was here for a very long time, like 6 hours. This is my first car in my name so I expected the interest to be high. I read the contract (afterwards at a later time) and all I can say is I was ripped off with my trade in. My fault for not reading beforehand. About a week or two later I also had issues with my check engine light coming on. I did come in a few times to get it resolved but it did turn off and they said they couldnt scan it. It was eventually fixed and I havent had a problem with that. I was told to come back in 8 or 9 months to refinance it. I did and they said to come back after a year of payments. I ended up not refinancing it. The service department is good. I would get my oil changes and the appointments were convenient. I wouldnt purchase a car here again I know what to expect from a dealership and I will take it as a learning experience.

Comment: Hey Trent, how many clients do you want to continue loosing?Advice to all the potential buyers, first we are medical related professionals ( we can read peoples body language) and we are not first time buyers ( we have learn from previous rip offs and previous mistakes from the dealers previously), maybe seems long but worth the advice.We bought a car 2 days ago, the process were very suspicious from the beginning, Andrew the seller: I asked him for the next model above the one we seen and he said it cost 5,000 more when is not, easy to break had to call the manager to negotiate with us, we noticed his anxiety and discomfort with our questions.( Specifically, he broke when after he told us the asking price just for the car, without the fees and other extras, which was $10,000 more than the advertised price shown at the website, at the end we got the car for the advertised price) and then call the manager.The manager: ( I forgot his name) he manage the thing very professional we reach a deal and we agreed on that. BUT..... WAS IT A WORDS GAME? lets see... Because later all the deals agreed looks like they werent at all...Trent on financial: he change the deal we did with the manager, he refused to answer my questions from the beginning about my interest rate and monthly payment before he start printing all the paperwork and he changed the conversation, he stand up for a moment and I saw his monitor the interest was the double agreed and the monthly payment obviously was higher, when we asked for the deal we agreed before (which the manager make us sign) his anxiety was more than noticeably, and had to change everything.2 days after the purchase I went back to the dealer because they offer us a lot of extra things for closing the deal which at the end were charged to the loan, the guy who received me, a Spanish speaker, beard and skinny ( the guys from the entrance said that was the guy of financial that day (08/20/20) ), got mad with my questions, the hypocrisy came out, talking to me very rough while answering my questions, for a second he make me feel like a dump but I realized he was evading my questions when he gave me the schedule of the people who did my paperwork and suggested to come when they were there. When I finished I stand out the office while he receive another client, he sounded super sweet at that moment, and to be honest I only came back for some explanations no to change things, for example I asked about the free maintenance we got with the car we bought 5 years before, his answered very rude and said: that was 5 years ago, do you think the things remained the same, Nissan doesnt offer nothing free even an oil change, that is completely up to youWith this we are trying to let people know and be awarded, to be informed, and dont fall on the different traps and scams, we invite people to repeatedly ask during all the process the same questions ( interest rate, monthly payment, deals agreed and beware on fake and malicious advertising) before get confused and finally ripped off.Update:as suggested called back, the manager wasnt that kind we can say, but whatever, but his offer was HILARIUS, he suggested return the car and put $8.000 or more on down payment again Im still wondering what he was talking about and what was that related to the issue we had.update DEC 2020:DONT take the protection package, cleaning or whatever it is, is worthless, $1,200 and at the end was for a carwash every 6 months, took our car for its first appointment, they washed it ( came back with the same bird poop on the trunk) an the interior with the same (which mistakenly was charged extra that day) foot prints from our last trip with the family,. ask my money back and Trent as usual said yes, still waiting for the reimbursement.HEY TRENT, are you going to reimburse the money to the bank from that protection package scam ? still waiting for you to do it. how many potential clients do you want to continue loosing?NEVER Haylees, Never hilltop, Never Nissan again.

I spotted it twice and they said oh we detail for you the next day. But, it gets worst after settle on a deal and price the finance manager try to change the warranty on the car. When I spotted that he said its a typo error. It even get worst when I put a down payment on it and said the down payment was the taxes I said how can a tax be exactly $5,000!! Beware you been warned!!!

I went there first and should have stayed there. I ended up looking at other dealerships and checking Car Gurus. Joel and Anthony had patience with me as I figured out the right car. They gave me enough space to make a decision. They helped me to find the right car at the right price. Trent was hilarious and got us through paperwork without delay. The Nissan and Hyundai Hanlees sales crew are the best. David made the first experience amazing and Joel and Anthony cemented that my first experience wasnt an anomaly. They were fantastic!! Comment: Because its the only service dealership close by I come here. Service department customer service is horrible. First time I brought my car was to repair an ac unit they repaired my aC unit but didnt replace the hoses because they werent covered by warranty. Instead of calling me ahead of time they waited till my car was put back together didnt inform me of the bad houses but left comments on my work order. Second time I brought my car was because maf sensor was bad. Replaced sensor spark plugs 2 days later new code comes up for a catalytic converter. Again instead of informing of the issue they left comments on work order. Today I take my car in for a passenger window regulator they tell me the clip that connects my window to the regulator are bad not my regulator and I need a new window. Not new clips that would cost $15 for a pair at auto zone but a whole new window that costs over 350. Thats amazingly not covered by my third party warranty. Not only that I took my car in early i was the second person when they opened so they could look and find out whats wrong. Something that shouldve taken 20 minutes to diagnose due to the fact I already took the door panel off in an attempt to fix my window myself. As I told him myself the clips were detached from the window were broken. I thinking they were connected to the regulator not window assumed that was the problem should be a simple fix right. Nah not with this service department. They decide hey lets include the leaking oil pan in what we found wrong so the warranty can pay us more money. I didnt hear from these people until I decided to call to check on the status of my car 5 hrs later after not hearing from them. Anthony the service manager says hell call me back after he finds out what the warranty will cover. No answer had to call him back an hr later to see whats going on. Thats when he tells me whats wrong with the car my regulator works fine is the clips that are bad but thats not covered. Oh but your oil pan is bad theyll cover that tho. No word on my car until almost an hour til closing where basically my whole day was thrown away cant get a rental car thru warranty because technically it should only take 2.5 hrs to do the work. Rental coverage doesnt kick in unless 8 hrs or more. So basically theyre babysitting my car wasting my day away

There was a deal that when you do the test drive, they give you a gift card. this place was also included in this deal. we set the appointment and went to this place in the scheduled time. before going to there, we told them we are coming because of this deal. Their response was they are lying. So, the guy on the phone was saying our friends are lying. Our friends got the gift card in the same day, and 1.5 hour later. So, they dont lie. They are now still dragging their feed on this issue. They said the gift card can be mailed to us one month later. When l said why the other people got the gift card right away but we have to wait for a month, they didnt respond but saying that the other people cant take the gift card right away, it is not possible. Comment: Hello, l went to this place in the appointment date. We were gonna learn about the prices of cars, particularly nissan altima, and do the test drive. We also intended to get our gift card because there was a deal that they give you gift card when you do the test drive. We did test drive, and asked how we can get our gift card, but they said they dont give gift cards. In setting our appointment over the phone, l told them we will come to the test drive and to get our gift card afterwards. So, they know we are coming for the test drive and gift card. After the test drive, the agent who is talking to me became so demoralized when l told him that l wont buy the car today. And I dont have to buy a car from them on that day. That guy took notes of our coupon, but they still didnt give our giftcard yet. This agency is definitely included on this giftcard deal. And l have some friends who also benefited from that deal, and they got their gift card after doing test driving. Actually, they even didnt do test drive, and they just got the gift card when they say they came for gift card. So, l really dont know why this agency is dragging their feet on this issue. I am so frustrated about one of the agents rude behavior and their overall reluctance about the gift card issue. I had an appointment first thing in the morning 8:00 am, I Had to leave my car for a 30,000 mile tune up and 4 Tire, tire change and alignment, i was told it take most of the day. She said hour turned in to ahour and thirty minutes. Then the price went up to $155 to 167 and I just went to get my son from school . Then looked at my car battery . Comment: I bought a brand new 2015 Nissan Versa back in 2015. I recently got in to an accident and totaled the car. Thankfully I purchased GAP insurance along with a maintenance package.Unfortunately I moved from California and now live over 2000 miles away in the Midwest. Due to being so far away one of the requirements of the GAP insurance is that the dealership must send the company a simple letter of my cancellation of the maintenance package and the amount unused on the maintenance package.It took me 3 weeks to get someone to email me the form for me to fill out and sign which took 10 minutes to fill out and send back. He then forwarded it to some guy in their home office. A week after that I emailed the finance manager which is the person that I was dealing with. He then emailed me back in a condescending tone that he emailed it to a guy in the office and it would take 4-8 weeks for them to fax over the letter to the GAP company and that these thanks don’t happen overnight.After 4 weeks I emailed the guy that he sent it to since he cc’d me on the email. He didn’t respond back, then 3 weeks after that I sent another email inquiring about the progress and resent the information that the GAP company told me to. No response again.I would recommend you not to buy any vehicles from this company. They have no problem selling you a car but when it comes to a time that your in need they have a problem with you. If they aren’t making money off of you then you are of no consequence to them and make you feel that your a nuisance. This is why I give them a 1 star rating.

Like fuel flush and other primum services done to make cars run better, except my car has 5,000 on it and dose not need them. This was told to me after they got me to sign approving the charges. Then they told me how my 50 dollar cherge was now 300.When I complained to the manager he told me to bad should have read before I sign and it was my fault, he did this in front of other people adding enberasment to my frustraciones. Parts and finance departments have been knowledgeable and helpful, general service department has ranged from okay to rather incompetent. Better in-person than on the phone. Dont recommend buying an off-brand vehicle from a dealership, especially dont recommend buying an extended warranty for an off-brand vehicle from a dealership. I bought a Honda from here and Honda dealerships will charge the $160 diagnostic fee, while Nissan wont have Honda parts in stock. My $1800 extended warranty feels useless. Note to potential buyers: if there is ANYTHING wrong with the vehicle when you buy it, get it into the contract that they will fix it for no charge or cover cost of repair. Im having to pay for a fuse that wasnt working when I bought the vehicle because I was first assured it would be fixed by the time I was done signing paperwork, then told they didnt have the part in stock because it was a Honda part but that I could take it to a Honda dealership and it would be covered under the warranty I bought. Sure, except for the $160 diagnostic fee. Grrrr....😖

Comment: What an incompetent bunch of people. Three years ago when we showed up to get a car everyone was all smiles, offering water, coffee, even popcorn. We had 4-5 people surrounding us at all times helping with the process. Finally the 3 year lease was up and I went in to return the car. The receptionist was extremely clueless on what to do (had no one ever returned a lease here before?). Since we werent there to buy anything, not a single person offered us water or anything. No one bothered to talk to us, except one sales guy who asked if we wanted to buy a new car and then proceeded to ignore us when we said no. We arrived at 5:15 (they close at 9pm), at 5:45 the finance manager told us he was going to help another customer at a nearby dealership and that we were next. He said he would take 30 minutes. At 6:50 he came back to help us. Our paperwork took 10 minutes (at most) and we left. The final bill would arrive by mail in the next several weeks.A couple of weeks later (today) I decided to log in to my account (I used to only get my statements online, so not to waste paper). Lo and behold, I have a new monthly statement from Nissan! So I called the corporate number and hey hey, turns out the finance manager never filled out the proper paperwork on his end to notify Nissan I had returned the car! Now the guy who assisted me on the phone is going to fix everything, undo the statement, and send the final one in the mail. Luckily I decided to check my account, otherwise who knows how long it would have been until everything was straightened out and I possibly would have had a few missed payments added to my credit for the statements I should have never gotten!All because of this lousy dealership! They provide terrible customer care and are extremely incompetent in doing their regular job.

Left messages for over 5 business regarding my vehicle that had been there just as long with no calls back. Comment: I purchased a vehicle from here. There was a little issue that arose and the person who sold me the car was not there the day i contacted them about the issue. One internet sales manager named Tony Christy went out of his way to make things right for me. Knowing that he would not make any profits (no commissions etc) Tony still went the extra mile to help me out. Others who were involved in helping me were Rafael (my main man), David, and AJ from management and Bob along with another real nice guy whose name I did not get from service. Just avoid the fiesty little guy in the over sized suit (somethings wrong with him). Thanks again, all you guys.
