I was subject to just an all around great experience, Mitch was polite and professional and he took the time to explain and go over what affected my ac and how the entire system works. He had it repaired in no time and made sure everything worked before he left. Excellent excellent work!!
Our service technician John G was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He went above and beyond, checking the whole system inside and out then explained our problem and possible solutions. Not like some places that just get it running and hand you a bill.I will exclusively be using them for any of my hvac needs in the future.
I’m writing this review 3 years after the interaction and I’ll explain. Had a technician come out for an igniter switch in my furnace, all went well felt like a paid a lot but still not why I’m complaining. Tech talked me into a service plan which waives service fees when they come out, additionally they will come out for AC start up inspection and furnace start up inspection. Spring comes along the same tech comes out to check my AC. Blah blah blah you need a new unit this one is going to die probably on the hottest days of this summer. Next thing I know I have 2 salesman in my house, trying to hard sell me a new unit. Told them I’m going to wait until this one dies… blah blah it will be the hottest day pay for a service call etc. I have the service plan the call will be free, “oh yeah “ and they followed up a few times to see if I’m ready. In the meantime I call 2 other companies to come out and quote me on a unit. First guy doesn’t check old unit just gives me a quote for a similar unit $1500 less than Harriman quote. Second guy comes and insists on checking my unit first. Looks at it says I’ll sell you a new unit if you want one but there is nothing wrong with this one, should last another 3-5 years minimum. Going into my 4th summer this year with the same unit.
Great service from Mitch today, very thorough and good advice on next steps for my home’s 20 year old A/C unit. Up front about prices and cost to upkeep a unit of this age vs replacing in the near future. Helped me weigh what’s the best value at this point and what’s the best way to proceed without throwing money down the toilet. Thanks!
Had Robert come out to check why our AC wasn’t working on Friday, and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and explain it in simple terms for me to understand. He also was able to squeeze me in the next day on the weekend to fix the issue versus waiting and scheduling a whole new appointment to fix it. Very please with the result and thank you for your help
Im so glad we called Harriman when our AC stopped working last week during the hottest part of the summer! I called 8 different companies and they all had a 1-3 week wait for service - Harriman made an appointment to come out the next day. Turned out that our whole system was very old and on its last legs. Jeff helped us make a plan to get the the AC up and running asap and helped us pick out the best replacement options for our home. He took his time, thoroughly answered all of our questions, and was courteous and friendly, all while enduring the miserable heat in our home in a mask and gloves.Jay and Mike came to do the install and they went above and beyond to meet our needs. They were organized, tidy, and finished the job in a timely manner. I appreciated their diligence in wearing a mask and staying socially distanced when possible. Jay was very kind, polite, and courteous (he even asked us if we needed anything when he left on his lunch break), and took the time to make sure we knew everything about our new system.I highly recommend Harriman Heating for any AC or furnace work, and particulary Jay and Jeff. Awesome customer service!
I did a top of the line Furnace replacement in 2018 with these guys. I chose to pay significantly extra for an HRV (heat recovery unit) unit and a steam humidifier.The HRV unit was installed INCORRECTLY, in a lazy way—with dirty intake placed in the BASEMENT, to then be mixed with clean fresh air coming in from outside.It took me 2+ years to realize why my entire house smelled like the basement. It was because the HRV was sending everything upstairs. This made my indoor air quality significantly worse—the exact opposite what an HRV should accomplish.I made multiple requests w the company to have it looked at. The owner offered to charge me $300+ to have the dirty intake placed upstairs instead of downstairs. He reported that his own HRV unit at home sucks dirty air from the UPSTAIRS.I did NOT elect to pay the $300 to have this fixed. The HRV now just sits idle until I find someone to re-install it properly.NOTE: After turning OFF the HRV my indoor air quality has improved greatly.
Ive had nothing but 1st class techs from Harriman and today was no different. John G. came out to repair my furnace this morning, he was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He got the work done and thoroughly explained the work he did. Its easy to recommend Harriman when you have techs like John showing up.
Joshua was a very professional customer service Joshua describe me the problems of a furnace if applicable I’m glad Joshua showed me there was nothing wrong but to be aware so I can look out for things “cracks “ I didn’t know he said basically it’s good for a couple years very friendly very intelligent and most of all professional I will definitely hopefully use him again for any furnace cleaning,
Brian provided excellent service when working on my ac system and was very knowledgeable about the services offered by Harriman. He arrived when the company said he would, got the job done faster and better than I had anticipated. Would recommend his service and the Harriman heating company any day. Had my furnace cleaned by Mitch, the first time Ive used Harriman for this service. He was much more thorough than anyone else Ive had out. He made helpful observations that went beyond the scope of the cleaning, and ruled out a possible problem with the humidifier. Only complaint is that I didnt receive a call in the morning with an ETA, but Mitchs work was outstanding.
Harriman came to our rescue! Our heating suddenly turned off in the head of winter! Our house temperature lead dropping and we got a same day appointment (only a few hours wait). Mitch was very professional and explained everything he was going to do and why. He fixed everything and also informed me about what would need to be done in the future. Will definitely being using Harriman again!
Jay R. and Mike A. were amazing from start to finish! They arrived promptly when they said they would. They laid the cloth down as to not dirty my floors. Everything was explained to me in great detail. When the work was all said and done they cleaned up after themselves and and gave me a complete tutorial of how my new furnace operates. I’ve been using Herringman since I’ve been a homeowner (11yrs) and they are the only company that I trust!
John G was prompt when our heat was out. Diagnosed the problem as thermostat and installed a new one. Did not try to upsell on fancy one, just put in the basic which was great. Did urge us to have a surge protector installed, which we did. Overall very positive experience!
When my furnace was down and I was freezing, Harriman came out same day. Called many other places and they could not come for a few days to a week. Josh came and was very prompt, curtious and helpful. Fixed my furnace quickly and efficiently. Was very helpful explaining what was wrong, what he did, and other tips about cleaning and maintenance. Also reviewed Harrimans service plan. Will gladly refer Harriman to others and call them again and ask for Josh. Great Job!!
Harriman had contacted me about furnace cleaning and inspection for $99. I said sure, why not. I had them come out. A couple days later I had problems with my inducer motor not working, it was shorting out at the negative terminal. I looked up the part online and it was $68. But I called Harriman to come back out because I figured theyd charge me probably $300 and Id get a warranty on the work, I would have been ok with that, but the quote I got for the part was $580! I was shocked at the disparity.I asked why so high and repairman said acquisition fee. I told him forget it and they charged me $99 for coming out. Even so, it was still cheaper to eat the $99 charge and change part myself I ordered the part and changed it out in 20 minutes. Half a dozen screws and two wire connectors. I called and spoke to a manager and he said the markup was so high because acquisition fee, vehicle maintenance and overhead of the business. This is NOT intended to dig on Harrimans work or reputation at all, Ive had them out before and they are punctual and I have had no problem with the workmanship. I have a problem with such a huge markup on an inexpensive part. Just make sure you know what the markup is beforehand if possible, with ANY company.
Mitch was great. Very professional and timely. We needed service today and they had someone over within 2 hours of our call. We’ve used Harriman ever since moving to Farmington 6 years ago and have always had a good experience with them. They’re our 1st call for anything heating and cooling!
I wanted to have a thermostat installed and had all of the information and the company cant give a quote on the work and forces customers to pay a $99 service fee to diagnose on top of the additional cost to do the work which you dont know what that fee would be. The cost to do the work should be no more than $129 and charging on site with no price book sounds like unfair pricing practices. Very shady.
Harriman installed a new AC unit for me and I was very happy with their service. They were very responsive, the installation was trouble free and the technicians were thoughtful and courteous. I was impressed when I visited the office to meet with Annette to complete paperwork, she was waiting for me to arrive and had as much of the paperwork filled out as she could to save me time. The offices and grounds were immaculate which I take as a sign of a company that cares about professionalism and that they care about their customers. Their price was very competitive also.
John G did an excellent job during our service appointment. He throughly explained the problem with our old ventilation duct system, and even took pictures for my mom, a senior citizen who can’t walk downstairs. John took measurements, offered solutions and provide a reasonable price quote for the repair. I highly recommend him and Harriman Heating.
Harriman was able to come out the same day I called, which was fantastic since my a/c was out and it was almost 90 outside! The service tech, John G, was polite, knowledgeable (even telling me things about my furnace and ductwork)! He quickly found the problem and it was replaced in no time. He tested it and made sure it was running and watching the temperature on the thermostat before leaving. He did not act rushed and asked if I had any questions. This company is great!
Josh came out from Harriman Heating and Cooling and he was extremely Friendly and Polite. He immediately put paper covers over his shoes. He asked to see both thermostats and then asked if there were any rooms that we were having issues. I mentioned that the Master Bedroom seemed warm and he found that our floor vents were closed and he opened them. He then went into the basement to inspect the furnace room. He then went outside to thoroughly clean both of our AC Units. He explained everything he was going to do and took his time to clean both Conditioners. I was very pleased with Josh’s Professionalism 👍🏻
Harriman was recommended by Home Advisor. Josh was the technician and he was amazing. Very polite and professional. If they can clone Josh they should. He has to be great for business. They called to tell me he’d be at my house in 10 minutes and he was. He covered his shoes and was very professional. Other companies told me they could be out to my house in 18 days!! With no AC!! No. They came out same day. Will use them again. Thanks Josh it’s already cooler in here!!!
I was having an issue with my AC unit not turning on this season. I had called about a dozen different Heating and Cooling companies around the Novi area and the soonest all of them could come out was 3-4 days later. Harriman was able to come out the next day for their regular business hours quote which was $99.The day of the appointment I had their technician Josh diagnose the issue I was having. He was very professional and courteous. He explained what he needed to do and asked where to locate my furnace, AC unit, thermostat, etc. He put on his shoe covers anytime he had to enter the house. After he had written up the quote for the issue, I decided to research the problem more myself before committing to have Harriman do the work. If I had went with Harriman they were prepared to do the work during the same appointment though.Overall Im very pleased with this company and their employee Josh who came out to do the work at my house.
Couldnt get ahold of any of The Other Guys in the area to come out same day when my furnace quit working. Harriman sent Mitch out the same day and he was able to diagnose the problem and return the next day with the correct parts to complete the repair. Mitch was incredibly professional and kind and I would recommend this company to anyone.
We had our a/c and furnace cleaned and checked. Their tech Mitch was on time and very friendly. He explained what he was doing as he worked and was through in his explanation of the condition of our units. We also had a very nice conversation during his time at our home.The only hmmm moment was regarding the free air filter we were told we were supposed to recieve for scheduling the service. It wasnt a free air filter, it was a $40 credit towards the purchase of a filter. Certainly not a deal breaker, just would have appreciated that being made clear when they called me.Ill certainly be using Harriman in the future.
They installed New furnace and Air conditioning very professionally and Kindly for 2days. even though They installed wrong model of furnace at the first time, They replaced the correct model within a day without any excuse. In conclusion, the contracted expensive model(Two-stage heating) was replaced, but a remain doubt thing was, whether The company really ordered the cheaper model(One-Stage heating) by mistake. Is the case possible happen?
John G was the Tech that did the work on my equipment. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He noticed that I didn’t have a surge protector on the equipment and explained why it would be a good idea for one, being that the equipment is only a couple of years old.Very happy with John G and the Company
The priced they charged for the thermostat was 4 times more than the online prices available Amazon,Staples etc. Sorry I didnt research this before I had them install the thermostat. Presumed they would charge a fair and honest price since they are all about satisfying the customer. Also owner/manager would not return my calls. Never again.
This company installed my oil furnace a few years ago and Ive had issues and been without heat several times since. Tech comes out to clean the furnace and come to find out they have no idea how to service this type of furnace in which they sold me. Several calls to them with no return calls, ridiculous prices for doing absolutely nothing. I have since found a company who specializes in oil furnaces who came out and vacuumed accumulated soot, cleaned burner and adjusted points to manufacturer spec, all while charging a fraction of the cost. $600 total this season to get heat in my house working correctly.
I recently had my AC unit go out so I had a service call to see if this could be fixed. Ultimately they confirmed that the unit couldnt be fixed so a Salesman was sent out to give me a quote on a new furnace and AC unit. Upon arrival of the sales guy, he learned that I recently purchased the and began to tell me about how difficult of a job this would be. He continued to tell me I needed additional ventilation and quoted me to change the where the lines from the AC meet the furnace. I never had any issues with the temperatures with my 20+ year old units so the new ventilation did not make a lot of sense to me. Ultimately I was quoted almost double two other competing quotes on the same task.I am truly disappointed that I wasted my time with this company, the only reason I will give this two stars is the service tech did a great job of communicating the issues with my current unit. Looking back on the conversations that I had with the salesman, it seems he thought that I would be an easy target as a new homebuyer to charge a ridiculous amount for a new furnace and AC unit.
Its a year later and today I had Josh, who did some maintenance on my AC.Very professional, responsive and supportive. He was able to answer my questions and explain with patience items I didnt understand. Also, Harriman had to reschedule due to high volume of service calls for AC, wasnt a problem. However, they were able to do the work only within days of my original appointment vs. the rescheduled appointment more than a week later. Its nice to know that if your issue is urgent they will try to accommodate. This kind of service from Josh and Harriman keeps me calling them back.last years comments-Knowledgable, friendly and supportive. They answered all of my question and provided direction and additional information when needed. Ill use them again definitely.
Joshua, the serviceman that came to my house was very professional and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem with my air conditioning system. With a couple of tests he was able to get my air conditioning running again. I would recommend your company and would ask you send Joshua to do the work.
Harriman heating cooler gave me an excellent price for my Trane furnace and air conditioner. Their workers were very polite and professional. They answered all my questions and then they did an excellent job in installing the equipment. When they were finished they cleaned everything up as though they were never there. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a furnace or air conditioner.
Great experience with John and Damon, they arrived timely, wore PPE gear and shoe coverings when entering the house. They were able to get my furnace up and running quickly. Explained what they were doing while doing it and giving me confidence that my heat would continue to work well. I also added surge protection to my furnace, now I feel a lot better knowing its now protected.
These two gentlemen were perfect examples of installers. They treated my home with respect.. They cleaned up behind themselves. They left NO mess, debris or anything. They were very polite. They always put their booties on when entering my home, as well as taking them off when exiting. The customer service they provided was AWESOME. They were very respectful. Upon completion, they explained everything they installed to me. They made sure I understood how to operate my new furnace. Thank you guys soooo very much. If there ever were any issues, I would prefer these two guys to come back out to service my furnace.I truly hope my review and others, will be seen by the actual installers.Once again, thank you Jay and Mitch.
Had my furnace go out 2 weeks before Christmas. I found these guys from HomeAdvisor, their reviews looked good, so I gave them a shot. My installers, Jay and Mitch, were on top of things, did high quality work, and were great to deal with.The salesmen who came out to go over pricing, ended up catching an error with a central air install from a prior homeowner (the coil was installed on the wrong side of my down-flow furnace). They ran a new line set as well as installed a new high efficiency furnace.They got the job done, and they did it right. They gave me a temporary furnace to use to keep the house warm while they engineered the fix. My step-father used to be a sheet metal worker, installing HVAC, came out and checked over their work a few weeks later, and told me they did it right, and it was well done.I will definitely be using these guys again in the future. Thank you.
Every detail of my involvement with Harriman Heating was really just perfect. Really. Surprising. My rep Justin was on time, careful of our home, attentive to all my questions, carefully checked all features of my older AC unit, and found that everything seemed to be in good order---but it was a cool day--- so he gave me 30 days to run the AC and call him back with no new service call fee if we need him again. I havent done any review ever that so easily rated 5 stars...
We called Harriman Heating and Air Conditioning when our air conditioner went out on one of the hottest and most humid days so far this summer. They were out to service our air conditioner within a half hour when many others werent even taking appointments because of covid and severe backups. Unfortunately, our air condition (being over 25 years old) had a bad condenser and the price to fix all that needed fixing was (as I had presumed) going to cost us more than it was worth. We had already been talking about a whole new install anyhow. The two service people (Jon Harriman and Jefferey) showed us everything that was unrepairable, went over the pricing and stayed at our house until their salesman came out. Their sales person went over all of the available units and pricing with us, and we should have everything installed within a few days. I have heard good things about Harriman and their customer service for several years, and I was not disappointed. This company is family owned and their servicing is easily five stars!!
The entire process from quote to installation took less than 2 weeks. Howard from sales was no pressure and educated me on the products that would be best for us. The installers were Jay and Truman and the 2 day job was done on time. They showed up on time both days, cleaned up after their work, took the time to educate me and my wife on the new furnace and ac that we had installed. Highly recommend.
Has to be the best furnace service I ever had. The installers Jake and Drew were here most of the day installing a furnace and A/C. They did their work, respected my privacy, were friendly and never stop working. If you need a new furnace or A/C hire them.2019 Just had a yearly furnace maintenance and I am very satisfied. He was fast and efficient. So far so good.
Our experience with Harriman was a great one! We scheduled a service call when our furnace didnt start after the summer, hoping it was only a minor repair. Jeff came out to our house and found a bird stuck in our inducer motor! As unpleasant as a broken furnace is, Jeff turned the event into a pleasant experience. He explained everything well, showed us the problem and helped us brainstorm some options. Our furnace was old so we ended up buying a brand new furnace from Harriman after talking to Howard who provided us several options and price points. Jeff came by the evening before our final install to temp in a temporary unit so that we could stay warm overnight! Really great customer service! Cant speak highly enough of Harriman Heating! An honest, trustworthy and personal local business!
Rob and James came out to install my furnace on 12/18/18. They were on time and very thorough. Professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Their priority was my familys heating and being safe/comfortable. They cleaned up after the installation and answered all my questions. Very happy with the service. Great customer service. Will recommend to others.
When my Nest thermostat had an error message and the air conditioning was not working, I called Harriman Heating for service. This is the first time Ive used them as this is a new house for me. The office staff were helpful and called me to let me know when Brent would be coming to my house. Brent was polite, thorough, and professional. He carefully investigated until he found the source of the problem that was in the air conditioner and tweaked the wiring of the Nest so it would be more efficient. I appreciate that Brent advised me of services and maintenance plans for the furnace and air conditioner that would benefit me. I liked having service plans when I lived in Seattle and feel more secure now that I have these in place in Michigan.
We realized our furnace stopped working over the evening. The service tech was nice and professional. I will warn people that they did up-charge the parts significantly. The parts I was charged for were $200 and $300. I should of looked online first (these professionals should be trusted to be fair). These parts sell for a total of roughly $30 online same model and brand. BUYER BEWARE BEFORE BUYING PARTS FROM THEM.
Brian provided excellent service when diagnosing my furnace and was very knowledgeable about the services offered by Harriman. I was so stressed because I am a new homeowner and needing a new furnace couldnt have come at a better time. He and his coworker installed a temporary furnace in my home and they didnt leave until almost 11 PM. Additionally, Brian educated me on their financing program, which I took full advantage of. I would recommend Brians service and the Harriman heating company any day. Thank you Harriman for employing hardworking and personable people, I am looking forward to having my new furnace installed this week!
Justin was the initial service pro who came out to take a look at my AC unit that stopped working. He was very knowledgeable and fully explained all options available.The two techs who came out and did the work were Jay and Charles. They were very professional and their work was fantastic.Im already a returning customer and definitely will recommend them to others.
Furnace went out Friday, tech from our energy company came out and condemned the unit Saturday afternoon and we were without heat for two days (in the winter). After calling a multitude of companies Saturday night and Sunday morning Harriman was the only one who promised to be out first thing on Monday to at least install a temporary furnace and to complete a full installation the following day. Techs were knowledgeable, informative and friendly. The only downside I’d say is the price which seemed to be on the high end, but overall a good experience.
John G was very thorough! He spent the time explaining to me the health of my 16 year old unit and spent the time I needed to understand. Jeff was professional, knowledgeable about the current products as well as historical knowledge that helped me make my decision on the replacement of my entire residential HVAC system. He made recommendations, but also made it clear that if I wanted to go with a less expensive TRANE unit, that they were available as well. No pressure during the sale. Jeff was responsive to my calls and texts, eager to make the sale and made the extra effort to make sure I was a satisfied Harriman customer.Jay and Mike were the installers for my system. The were professional, courteous and considerate of my home. They did a great job of cleaning up afterwards as well. Jay explained all of the system to me after installation (as well as the extra measures Harriman goes through during installation to make the system safer and more efficient). The new system works great (especially compared to my previous 20 year old system) and it is comforting to know that I will not have any trouble with my new TRANE system due to its clear reputation for durability and reliability.
I recently had my air conditioner serviced by Vince V. since I carry the monthly maintenance service plan and it was due for its yearly inspection. Vince arrived within my scheduled appointment time window and was very friendly when he greeted me. He diligently collected information about my cooling/climate temperature conditions and needs within my home. He thoroughly cleaned my air conditioner unit and provided any service recommendations which was minimal. Throughout his entire time at my home Vince was very professional and did a great job representing Harriman Heating & Air Conditioning.
Absolutely some of the finest customer service Ive received...well anywhere. Furnace went out while I was at work. By 7pm a tech was inspecting my furnace (awesome guy, dont recall his name). By 9:30pm, Howard (manager) was in my basement getting me financed for a new furnace and by a little after midnight, a TEMPORARY furnace was installed so I didnt have to sleep in the cold. I never in my wildest dreams thought a Heating company would install a furnace the same night as the service call, especially after hours!A week later, my new high-efficiency furnace was installed by Jacob and his helper Drew, both of which were very professional, courteous and respectful of my home. Ill be requesting them by name next time I need help.Look, I never write reviews. It takes something special for me to react like this. Especially for something that just cost me an arm and a leg. Harrimans price was very fair (roughly in the middle compared to others Ive seen) but it was well worth it to have it done right. Couldnt be happier. 5 stars well earned.
Justin was great. He was courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. He knew exactly what was wrong and made the necessary repairs. Another company had come out and tried to sell me a new system. Justin did what needed to be done and assured my that I did not need a new air conditioner. I would recommend this company and Justin to anyone!
After an initial diagnosis of our AC unit as being a bad capacitor and then eventually failing completely, Jeff from Harriman Heating came out to our house to provide an estimate. After patiently listening to what I needed, he surveyed inside and outside and gave me a good estimate on what I needed and what were options.This was during the hottest day of the year, and they were able to schedule me in for that weekend. I am very happy with the service I got through him. Recommend him for any competitive quote for an AC.On the day of the install Jay and Charles came in on time and finished the work on schedule and left me a very clean house as well. Jay took time to ensure that the Trane unit was functional and even gave me recommendations on what to do and what not to do to maintain and get a longer life out of the unit. Great team, good work. Highly recommend them for anything related to AC.

Our A/C unit died Sunday during a heatwave (>90’s) we called first thing Monday morning & they were there by the afternoon. Justin was professional & very informative. He took time to take care of the problem & explained everything he was doing. We felt we were kept involved in the process. He also took the time to give us valuable tips. It was a pleasure doing business with Harriman thanks to Justin. We would definitely recommend & use again!
When I requested an estimate for a new, central Air conditioner. Howard Staler represented Harriman Heating, Inc. to me, in a professional and polite manner. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about his products as well as about the state of the industry, and about the services that Harriman Heating can provide. Furthermore, Howard showed positive customer service skills as he patiently listened to my concerns and answered a long list of my questions. I appreciated his honesty when we discussed the final cost of the extra fees I can expect to incur and when we plumbed the intricacies of rebate programs and discounts. The estimate process was a positive experience for me..
I have very mixed feeling about this place. First let me say that the guys they sent out were great. I have no complaint about the techs themselves. They were very friendly and there are no issues with the work they performed. My issue is solely on the cost and the phone operators lack of knowledge. I needed to charge my AC system with r22 which is no longer produced starting this year and getting expensive. I called 3 places within 5 miles of my home and two of them immediately told me yes they still have r22 and that the cost was $125/lb. Both of those places were completely out of appointments for the next week so I called Harriman. The operator sounded like he wasnt sure what r22 was (he should know this stuff) and had to call someone. I asked him to let me know what their cost was also. 30 mins later I got a call back and he said yes they still have it. I asked him the price, but apparently he forgot that part. They did have a same day appointment available so took a gamble and grabbed it. Long story short, the price of r22 they were charging was $225/lb. Ridiculous. Also the moment they arrived and checked it I was already in the hook for $100 service call. I asked about leak sealer additive and he said that would be an additional $330. I obviously declined. 3 lbs of r22 recharge and the total bill was over $700. Should have been $400. But we decided since we were already out $100 and sweating, that we would just do it. Cost me $42 for a hose and a can of well rated leak additive to put my own sealer in there. Sorry to the good guys that work there, but this place is a total rip off .
Jay and Mitch installed a new energy efficient furnace, AC, water tank, humidifier and smart thermostat. They were extremely courteous and diligent. The entire job took only 2 days. They cleaned up after themselves and gave me a thorough walkthrough to ensure I was satisfied and comfortable with my new equipment. I would recommend Harriman & Heating to anyone looking for hvac work.
Justin was extremely helpful, kind, and explained everything that he was doing and needed to be done with my A/C unit. He came on a holiday weekend on a warm morning, and got my air conditioner back in working order (bad blower motor) in no time flat, while also being educational, compassionate, and all-around pleasant to speak with. I genuinely appreciate the service on such short notice, as well as the pricing. This is my second time using Harriman (bad capacitor last year), and I will certainly continue to do so. Thank you to Justin and the business for your help - this was stressing me out until I called, but now I can relax...and be cool!
Recently I purchased a new furnace and air conditioner from Harriman Heating. Installation was set up to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday of the following week. The installer Jim and his helper Robert arrived on time, ready to work. First tarps were layed to protect my flooring. They were very professional and courteous of our needs and made sure the installation went smoothly. Their work appears to be too notch. After completion Jim took time to explain how to use the equipment such as setting the humidifier and changing the filters. The place was clean when they finished the job. Harriman Heating can be proud to have these two men representing their company.
Brian H. of Harriman Heating was great. He was friendly and professional and completed the work on my furnace in a timely manner for the price quoted. No surprise charges! He also fixed my A/C in the summer. He came out and fixed it the same day been other companies had a 2 day wait. Harriman is the best! I highly recommend them.😀
We had Brent come out to our house for a faulty air conditioner. He was able to figure out what was happening with it and fix it quickly. I also asked multiple questions about other areas of our house to make the air circulate better - he went around to make sure all our vents were working properly and provided tips on how we could fix them. I had previously called a different company and they pretty much told me there wasnt anything you can do to fix the issues Brent had given solutions for. So happy we had Brent come to our house!Overall Id recommend Harriman Heating (Brent) and will be using them for additional services!
Went great, Jeff and Brian got in checked the furnace and filters, and did a great job cleaning up the furnace. Secondly, I have to note that last summer we had an AC problem and Harriman came out and fixed it. At the time I paid for a maint package with the furnace cleaning up rolled in the price. Harriman nicely called and reminded me of the services to be completed and scheduled a call within the times I was available. Kudos to Jeff, Brian, and the Harriman team.
Terry came to our house for an annual furnace inspection. He was very professional, respectful of our home (used booties to cover his shoes upon entering our home with no prompting from me to do so), and very friendly. He was knowledgeable about their products and service plans and patiently/honestly answered all my questions without being pushy to sign on or purchase recommended equipment. We have had a lot of bad experiences with service providers in recent years so it was nice to have a great experience for a change. Thank you Terry and congratulations on your new little one! We will definitely use Harriman Heating going forward. And if anyone is considering Eller Services (the other Trane certified company), stay as far away from them as you can. We have had nothing but problems and headaches with them!

The people were great - Justin and Chris were the Service Technicians who determined that our 40 year old A/C unit had given up. James E. the Senior Technician helped us pick out a new unit and arranged for next day installation. Jay and Jeff installed the new unit and we were up and running in a little over 3 hours. All people we dealt with were professional, helpful and very polite. We could not be happier.

Jeff explained what they would be doing, and Brian quickly went to work on the furnace. I was also given information on other products offered through Harriman, as well as, safety concerns to avoid. The installers Shaine and Jesse were efficient, clean, and made sure my pets were not going to get outside. We got three quotes for replacing our 43 year old furnace and air conditioner. Harriman gave us the best explanation of what was needed and cost, as well as equipment. James answered all the questions that we had. The install occurred within the next week. Our tech/installers were Shaine and Jessie. Thanks to both men for being courteous, friendly and professional. Great service and follow up! We found them on the web and they responded to an emergency call on a holiday weekend. Our old system was thirty years old and beyond repair. We purchased a new Trane system through Harriman. Jay and Jeff were the installers. They were very professional. They also explained the system and what they were doing each step of they way. They were also very neat and orderly. We were very pleased with the system and the installers. The city inspector came and he was also very impressed with the installation. He stated they went above and beyond. We would not hesitate to recommend Harriman Heating.
I was in a terrible situation and I really like to thank their whole team for making everything smooth as possible. Last tuesday night, furnace stopped working. I got in touch via web, email confirmation was recieved and Jeff stopped in promptly on Wednesday morning. I had a nightmare of a situation and needed a new furnace. Jeff walked me through everything that was wrong with it and dealt with the home warranty company. He really didn’t need to go above and beyond (it’s a 20 year old furnace!! I knew it would die!!) but he called parts company and got every parts and labor cost calculated for our claim. Meanwhile Howard came to let me know of all the options I had. I knew the AC was not going to last this summer so I had him quote that also. Furnace and AC is not cheap and cost is very hard to swallow. They both really put me to ease and confident about going with them rather than me dragging it out and get multiple quotes. Robert came in the same day to install a temp furnace so that I have heat until the new furnace and AC could be installed. He was maybe hear for couple of hours. He literally was working non stop and I appreciate that.While I waited for the install date, I placed numerous call to Howard about more options and he promptly answered my questions.Today, Jeff returned with Jay to install the new furnace. They were supposed to take a day and a half. They worked non stop for 10 hours And got the job done on the same day.I have nothing but praise for these guys. They work fast, they work non stop and they have amazing team of individuals. Thank you so much for everything. Furnace and AC is very stressful to get replaced but they give you the Cadillac treatment every step of the way. 5 stars without hesitation.
Our home needed a new furnace and we were recommended by Vanessa Palmer...an old friend. They came out to check out the situation and we were approved the same day to get a new furnace. The furnace was scheduled 2 days later, they installed it along with a new thermostat within a couple hours. It works great, its quiet and it was a successful installation. I use this company the first time. My furnace was down and I called other company in town, which told me: repair needs 2 days, and replacing a new one needs to wait until next week. Oh, my God, we cannot wait until next week under around 0F! Then, I called Harriman and Sams, they sent a technician (Howard) in the afternoon, and had the furnace replaced the next day (today)! The price is still cheaper than the other company in town. Particularly, two young men, Jacob and Dan, did a hard and fantastic job. The furnace is under the crawl basement, and the furnace was stuck. They had to dig and shovel the dirt away and eventually they were able to move it in. Their working spirit really impressed me and I really appreciate their efforts under such difficult work! I highly recommend Harriman and Sams for their professional spirit!
Harriman was able to send a Service Pro to my home the day I called. Other heating companies were telling me Id have to wait 5 days! Derek arrived on time. He was very professional and helpful in troubleshooting/fixing our furnace trouble. I will definitely be giving Harriman a call the next time I need heating/cooling service.
Harriman Heating came out, inspected the furnace and suggested replacing the unit. On same day brought out the new furnace roughed it in and the next day completed the install. We expected the 22 year old furnace would need replacing and had a dollar figure in mind, Harriman Heating worked with us on this price and were very prompt, courteous and friendly. Great job Harriman Heating, made this whole process very easy and it looks awesome.
Fantastic Service! Just finished with a french drain and sump pump installation, and a new water heater. Expert installation from James and Zach. They came when they said they would, they explained what they were doing, they completed the work and cleaned up. They even put grass seed down over the trench for the outflow pipe! The job took several days. Each day, Anthony called to confirm when James and Zach would arrive. I will always call Harriman for plumbing and heating work, and I will recommend them.
I was referred to Harriman Heating via a cold call solicitation. My technician showed up promptly on time. He seemed very personable and familiar with the heating furnace. I made further query during his inspection of his qualifications and he obliged by listing a lengthy list of technical certifications in the heating and air conditioning trade. I would be comfortable with having him performing future work to maintain my HVAC system.
Great business and staff.Called on Friday morning and had Jeff show up that evening.Jeff went out of his way to help us out including calling extra help.Howard came next when we needed a new furnace .He helped us pick a new one and said someone would call by 8:30 the next day.They called on time and showed up when they said they would to start our furnace. JEFF also stopped by on Saturday to help jay put in our new furnace.Then on Thursday Jake and drew came to finish up. Everyone was very good and cordial. I searched for at least a year prior to selecting Harriman Heating Company. Other companies seem to prefer to issue over the phone estimates. From scheduling the appointment for the in-home estimate to the installation of a heating system for my enclosed garage area Harrimans employees were extremely professional, helpful, answered all questions and polite. Howard came out to look at the garage and provide and estimate. The job was a two day project wonderfully done by installer, James. Im so pleased and would highly recommend this company.

This company is a fantastic organization to work with. I placed a call late on Thursday evening, not an emergency, and by 10:00 am the next day I was contacted by the office staff and they stated that they would try to get someone out to my home that same day and try to get some heat into my home and that is exactly what they did. Before 11:00 am Jayson was at my door and he immediately looked over the situation and it was decided that I would need to replace my furnace. By this time it was about 11:30 on Friday and I thought I would be going without heat for the entire weekend. His goal was to get heat into the house before the end of business that day and that is exactly what they did. The office staff was wonderful in helping get me financially approved for replacing both the furnace and the air conditioner in a bundle package and before 6:00 pm there was heat in my home again. We had been without heat for three days and it was a real blessing to get it back. This entire staff, from the president to the secretary to the financial administrator and to the installers were grand. They certainly work well together for the benefit of their customers. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for not only A-1 service, but real consideration of all of the circumstances involved in each customers situation. I was so impressed that I asked for several business cards and I took the liberty of getting them to the office manager of the mobile home park that I live in. First, we bought this brand new high efficiency furnace in December 2019. It has been just over a year and, on the coldest day in over a year (expected to go down to -4 tonight), our furnace died today. I called the number they put on our furnace that says 24-Hour Emergency Service. I called and a message comes on saying that they will call us back in 24 hours. THAT is not 24 hour emergency service. And dont even get me going about the fact that it was installed improperly the first time and they had to come back out. Then it didnt pass inspection with the City because they found that other things were installed improperly. So here we sit, having left three messages to please call back tonight with their 24 Hour Emergency Service guarantee and nothing.
Dawn at the office was very helpful and able to send someone out to my house promptly. James and Brent were both very pleasant knowledgeable and prompt . I would definitely recommend this company to a friend and in the future should the need arise I will call them again. Very happy with it Harriman Inc.

Im surprised by the overwhelming number of positive reviews Harriman has here, given my experience. I called Sams Heating and Cooling, but a tech from Harriman ended up at my house. They attempted to sell me a service plan on the phone and 5 times, literally explained the same service plan 5 times when the tech Justin was at my house. He spent more time trying to sell the service plan than looking at my furnace! To add insult to injury the diagnosis for the issue with my furnace was incorrect! I immediately called a different local company.

Howard , arrived to my home for an consultation he was informative and professional, he helped me choose the correct AC for my home, and he explained about discounts and other financial options if needed, then I had the opportunity of having my AC installed by Jay and Charles, Jay was awesome professional and he showed me everything that was wrong with my old unit, and showed me what he was going to do to make sure I didn’t have this problem with my new unit. Harriman Heating were responsive with communication. They arrived within the time frame stated every time. There was a slight issue with installation they completed what was necessary to have heat and returned when stated to finish the project. They answered all our questions and explained the new equipment to us. I would definitely work with them again for my heating and cooling needs.
Called for furnace service call. they charged $99 just to show up. fine. He spent less than one hour here. He suggested to replace the igniter and the igniter itself cost would be $175. I assumed that was the going price. I later checked online. that same igniter Cost $10 at Home Depot. What a screw job. I also gave them the opportunity to make this right. They did not.
Furnace Cleaning and Service. Excellent service. Justin is the only professional that we have used for any kind of service in our home that truly took an interest in the customer. He explained the problems with the furnace, parts and repairs that would be needed, and the economical and safety benefits of purchasing a new system. I literally received a class on maintenance and upkeep of the unit. I almost forgot that he was here to service the furnace! He knows his profession, and he also knows how to educate the customer. He didnt have a sales pitch. He was truly concerned about customer safety. Thank you for him. I would request him for any future service.
Hands down the WORST company I have ever dealt with in my entire life! This company has caused me tears, thousands and thousands of dollars, and hours of missed work and a near mental breakdown. This company only cares about making money and doesnt stand behind their work.I rarely leave bad reviews, but since this company has done nothing to amend its wrongs I feel the best I can do is save others from going through what I have gone through with Harriman Heating & Cooling.Here it goes--Shortly after moving in to my first ever house I had the 20 year old furnace breakdown. I decided I would splurge for a brand new energy efficient furnace, plus a built in humidifier-- basically the works! I figured a furnace is going to last years and this is worth splurging on, right? Well I was so, so wrong. Within days after the furnace installation my furnace stopped working for the first time, okay I thought probably no big deal probably an easy fix. I called them and they had someone come out and fix the furnace. This was the only time they came out to service it without charging me! The furnace then continued to go out CONSTANTLY. Sometimes it was 2 days later, sometimes 2 weeks later. This continued the entire winter!! I am a single mother and had to buy space heaters to keep us warm at night and avoid the pipes freezing until they could get here to fix the furnace. Every time they came they said they had finally found the problem but then like clockwork it would go out again days later. Even though I had a service warranty on the furnace they would charge me $100s of dollars in service calls and charge me more for after hours calls arguing that they still had to charge for service calls. I would have to leave work to meet them at the house on many occasions. This again continued the next winter with them never able to find the problem but every time charging me hundreds of dollars in service calls.After spending several nights of below zero tempatures without heat and a young child, I cried on the phone with Harriman begging them to replace my furnance or help me because I couldnt do this anymore. The woman on the phone was rude and extremely cold telling me I need to calm down and that she could schedule someone to come out AGAIN for another service charge. Then to add injury to insult she tried to SELL me on service plan to clean and maintain my non working furnance on the same phone call!! She then continued to call me on a weekly basis trying to sign me up for their service plan on my broken furnace. It was like a cruel joke!Finally last winter I had enough heatless nights, and had nearly spent as much on service calls as I had on the original furnace that I had a new company replace and install a completely new furnance as the last resort. All in all Ive spent close to 15k for two new furnaces and 2 winters worth of constant service charges.This company is cold and heartless. Stay far, far away!!
Harriman was the quickest to schedule AC service which was great due to the High temps. Derek was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very curtious and answered all of my questions and was able to fix the issue in no time. Cost was reasonable considering how quickly they came out and how professional the process was. I will reccomend Harriman and Derek to anyone having heating and cooling issues.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Called because our 20 YO unit was not cooling properly. Within 10 minutes JUSTIN NICHOLS, the man that came to the call was very informative in how the system in my home works and what may be causing my issues. He evaluated a few different things it could be and made recommendations. He stayed and didnt accept payment from me until the unit came back on from idling and was running better once he left! The have a new routine customer, and I look forward to working with Harrimans and Justin in the future!!!
Let me start off by saying that their tech, Justin, is a treasure & my two stars go entirely to him. That being said, I will never again be utilizing this companys services after what theyve put me through today. Called last week to schedule a blower motor replacement & filter upgrade (our AC was not functioning and we are in a stretch of 90+ degree heat and I have an 8 months pregnant wife in the house). During the call on July 1st, I was told that they did not have the requested motor in stock but would receive new inventory & had availability for install on July 7th; ok thats not great but I can manage; schedule the appointment. The 7th rolls around and by midday I had not heard from Justin which seemed odd because he was always very prompt so I call & the office tells me he will be to me soon. 4 hours later (1 hour before their offices close) I call back & they THEN decide to tell me that I am not actually on their schedule for the day because the part never came in but they mustve forgotten to call me during the week long wait & inform me of this. So I ask if they have an alternative motor & they say they will check and call me back. Yeah I never heard back from them again, & now because every other HVAC company is closed, I have to wait until the following day to try and find a different business to work with. Thanks for nothing Harriman.
James and Zach were absolute pros with fixing my A/C unit. I received a quick consultation during one of the hottest and busiest times of the summer, with timely follow-up and accurate cost estimates for my issues. James had the install done quickly and professionally, while taking the time to walk me through the issues. I had an additional problem that popped up just after the install and James was back the next day to resolve it, with no additional cost. I cannot recommend these guys enough for your HVAC issues. If I have another problem, I will call again in a heartbeat.
Jay and Jessie teamed up to install a new heating and cooling system for our home. It included a Trane XC95M furnace, Trane XV18 4 ton A/C unit, Reme Halo, Aprilaire 1210 air cleaner, and a ComfortLink XL 1050. A tall order that took 2 days (7/25, 7/26) to complete. The completed installation functions just as we hoped it would. It gives us clean air and great control over temperature and humidity..and is very quiet. Jay and Jessie were fun to work with. They were highly skilled professionals who paid attention to every detail. They took the time to explain how things worked and offered some great suggestions. Cleanup was super. Left us with all of the manuals and took the time to show us how to use the new equipment. I will be recommending Harriman Heating to everyone who comes to our home.

I purchased central air and furnace units from Harriman in 2017. I am selling my house and my city requires a furnace inspection before a certification of occupancy can be issued to the purchasers. I scheduled an appointment with Harriman to come out and perform a cleaning and inspection. During the inspection , the Technician came upstairs with a corroded flame sensor in his hand. He showed me the corrosion and recommended that I replace the part. I thought to myself no big deal it is just a small part that shouldnt be too expensive.... but I was wrong. He told me the part costs over $200, but it was my lucky day because the part was under warranty and he would install a new one for an additional $125 labor. This didnt make sense to me because the old one could be put back in for no additional charge, but youre going to gouge me to put a new one in? I decided to forego the additional cost and instructed him to put the old one back in.I then went online to see how much these flame sensors cost and I was shocked to find out that they cost less than $20!!! If I hadnt been under warranty and decided to have it replaced I would have been charged approximately $350 - over and above the $99 I spent on the inspection itself. He also recommended that I get other expensive accessories, which were the same accessories I decided not to add on when I had the unit installed.I wonder how many Harriman customers have fallen prey to their unethical practices...
Very professional, patient and with the right attitude. Also seemed knowledgeable about their craft. Would recommend Derek, Jay and Truman to any of my friends. The guys seem to go out of their way to do a proper, fair job. Explain all aspects of it and any questions you may have and make sure the customer is well informed and satisfied by the time they leave. If a problem is encountered, they quickly device a solution which will inconvenience you the least. Very satisfied indeed.
Had a last minute issue last Friday and called Harriman. Terri was very polite and courteous w/ talking me through what I was experiencing, then setting up the emergency appointment for that evening. When the Tech - Justin arrived during the scheduled time frame, he was very thorough in discussing options and took me through what had occurred, step by step. He immediately called multiple part warehouses to see if they had what was required in stock and available that night. Luckily, he was able to secure a part and had it placed on hold for me late Friday evening, for installation the following morning. No one enjoys having an issue take place, but the Harriman Team helped me through it w/ the best possible outcome. I really appreciate the professionalism of their team, especially Justin onsite.
Very pleased with the speed and thoroughness of the initial service, and with the workmanship of the installation of a new Trane/American Standard 97% efficient furnace, central air, air filter, air scrubber (worth every penny), and hot water tank. Top quality - would definitely recommend!
I purchased the repair plan and was at first skeptical about it. however, my heat went out on a Saturday and i called that night after going through normal checks. true to their word they arrived within 24hrs (8:30 am Sunday). The repair tech Brian was courteous and explained exactly what happened. i had my heat back within an hour of his arrival. this is the second time they have helped me out in a bind and both times Ive been happy with the service.
This company came to our house over the winter to replace our furnace. It was messing up and they came and replaced it in a timely manner.Well fast forward to 3 days ago when it became 80+ degrees out.I go to turn our AC on and heat starts blowing out. These guys never hooked our AC back up. Never wired it into the board. Then it took them 3 days to come fix their mistake.Do yourself a favor and call someone else.
My A/C stopped working suddenly in the middle of really hot week and I had to make few calls the next days to fix it. Harriman receptionist, Anthony was great in booking the appointment the same day and Justin, the service pro, was very good in explaining what happened and fixing the A/C system in the same week. Highly recommended
Justin had been out to my house a couple of times. He solved my air conditioner issue last year and suggested a plan that would service my air and heat for the next year which was helpful and has saved me money over the last year on my gas and electric bills. He always makes sure he explains things, what hes doing, and whats going on with you equipment. I appreciate that he is Not the pushy sales type.

We have used Harriman Heating for all our furnace and cooling products. On this last furnace cleaning done by Jeff M. he did call prior to arriving to give us an idea when he would arrive. Jeff was very courteous and explained what he was about to do. We will continue to use Harriman for heating and cooling needs.
Vanessa convinced me to go with Harriman instead of my current company. She sent Justin out to my home and he was very nice. He helped me fix my humidifier and was very professional. I signed up for their maintenance plan with Vanessa and will have them back out for my air conditioner!
$2800 to repair a 7 yr old boiler started in Nov 2016 Harriman subcontracted the job after trying to fix the problem for over 3 months. 3 no call no shows to fix- tech went deer hunting!Subcontractor, who was not aware of the Harriman cost, told me he was sent out to do a specific repair and would charge $800. He couldnt confirm that the repair would fix the problem. Fast forward to Dec 2017- boiler still doesnt work properly. Calling a new company this morning. I have receipts to prove this review. If I could figure out how to post them, I would.
Called on a Sunday morning and Justin was at my house in about a hour. Very knowledgeable easy to speak with and made sure I knew all my choices. He was able to get my part and comeback the same day. First call to a heating and cooling company. I will definitely call again.
We bought our A/C, furnace and water heater from Harriman. The entire experience from beginning to end was excellent. They are fast, efficient and clean. They go above and beyond to help their customers. The receptionists are pleasant and helpful. The techicians are friendly informative and excellent. We always recommend them to any and everyone. They are excellent, excellent, excellent.
Came out to provide an estimate on a new boiler install. They tell you all the nice things you want to hear and say we will get back to you with an estimate. They leave and never get back to you. It would be nice to jus tell you we cant take on this job, its difficult or what ever the reason is and not lie.
Our Furnace went down last night and of course it was one of the coldest nights we had so far this year. I called Harriman Heating in the morning and spoke with Anthony who assured me someone would be out shortly. Shortly after, I received a phone back and Anthony stated that Brian is on his way. Brian ran diagnostics on my furnace and was quickly able to fix the issue (at a very reasonable price) which was a bad relay switch. We now have heat!! - Brian could have told me that I needed a new furnace or needed to replace other expensive parts. I would not have known any better. Its nice to know that you can call an HONEST company when you are in dire need! - I will be calling Harriman Heating & Air Conditioning the next time I need HVAC service and/or when its time to replace our old HVAC system! - Thanks Brian and Anthony!!! and the whole Harriman Team!!! Harriman’s heating really took care of my family. Our heating and cooling set up was over 30 years old, and with our basement’s waterways unclear, they really took the time to create new pathways, in an elegant and innovative fashion. I am beyond satisfied with their service and would recommend them to all my friends and family.
I called Family Heating and Cooling for emergency furnace service and was sent to Harriman. How and why it works that way Im not sure. A technician came out for the $89 service fee which I was aware of having to pay.. He removed my blower motor discovered that my blower bearings were the problem, not the motor. He said the bearings are not available and that I need a new furnace. He left the motor removed, added another $175 on to my agreed upon fee ( my wife was home, I was not so she paid without question ) and said I would be contacted by the company regarding a new furnace. 3 days later no contact. I ended up replacing my bearings for less than $50. I called the office at Harriman and asked to speak with a manager ( who was in a meeting ) so after leaving a message, again I received no call back. My conclusion: I was over charged for what may have been one hour of service. The service left me worse off than I was when I contacted the company. No repair, no solution. The $89 rate was a bait and switch type of situation in my opinion. The technician either does not know his business or is unethical. ( suggesting I need a new furnace when the problem was solved with $50 and 1 hour of work ). Steer clear of this company.
In the middle of extreme cold our furnace went out and no heat could have meant busted pipes. Harriman heating answered the call by sending Jeff M., an experienced, extremely competent, and very honest service pro who went over and above to restore heat in a very timely manner. I would definitely call them again for any heating and cooling needs.
I was very pleased with the work performed by James and Jeff. Not only with the installation of my zone system, but also the advice of how to fix the problems I was having. They gave me alternative approaches to the fix, and what they recommended and WHY. I am an engineer, and was impressed with their explanation of the logic behind their recommendation. I would highly recommend them and Harriman HVAC.James & Jeff were back at my house for a second time to perform a full HVAC inspection, and again I was very pleased with their work. If you want the job done right, Harriman more than delivers.
The service was great! I like to watch the repair and understand what the problem is and Brent explained everything and was very nice. Even though he didn’t have the replacement part with him, he was back within 20 minutes with it. Having never dealt with this company, I really trust them now and I even signed up for the maintenance program they offer.
Brent was professional through out the process of replacing our hot water boiling heat system. We needed the system replaced quickly during the month of January as our heat was out. Brent and Charles assured they would not leave until we had heat. They ended up being here until 11:30 PM to insure we had heat as the outside temps dropped. We would recommend Harriman Heating to others.

My furnace stopped working and I called Harriman Heating to service it. The technician came out the same day and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was able to get my furnace working and the service charge was much less than I expected to pay. That was over 5 years ago and this is the only company I call for my heating and cooling needs. I highly recommend this company!

I found Harriman Heating off Angies List and will now continue to use them for any heating and cooling issues I have in the future! When Jon came out to look at my old one he explained everything he was doing and his concerns. Norm came the next day and was able to get me an estimate and I had a new furnace the day after. They definitely made a purchase like this less stressful.
Professional as always. Corrected my furnace problem same day. Honest company to deal with, Harriman Heating will be my go to furnace company that I call in the future. Harriman Heating saved me thousands before, when another company was stating that my Air conditioning unit could not be fixed. I wanted a 2nd professional opinion so I called Harriman Heating out of the blue. Their technician did through inspection & found out why my AC unit was not working, a burnt out electrical connection...!!! And here the other company wanted to replace my AC unit. Cant say enough good things about Harriman Heating for being so honest. If & when my AC or furnace unit ever goes out, I will be calling Harriman Heating.
I can’t afford these guys. I was charged $322 to refill/remove air from the baseboard heating pipes (probably one of the simplest jobs they do), plus the $175 service call fee. No troubleshooting needed. No repair parts needed. $500 for less than two hours work. $250/hour! Not a bad gig. I can only imagine how much it would be if there was a malfunction that required troubleshooting and repairs.
Rob from Harriman came out to my home to perform a yearly check up on my furnace and hot water tank. He was very polite and friendly. He informed me of services offered by Harriman without pushing me into signing up for anything. I will definitely will use them in the future.
Excellent service from start to finish! My furnance broke at the end date of December. I received same day installation of a new furnance. Jeff and Dave where very professional and went over and above while installing the many upgrades my home required for the furnace I chose. I highly recommend Harriman Heating.
These guys were great. Heat died in the middle of the night. Froze all night til I could call around in the morning. Called many places that wanted to schedule me out a few days. These guys (James) . Came right out and had me fixed up by mid day.These guys Will always be my first call.Had a few follow up questions and talked to Anthony. 2022-07-07I must tell you that Jon, the owner and technicians Jay and Mike are all superb and offer top notch customer service. All 3 went above and beyond to meet our needs. They removed all the old equipment and installed a new Trane furnace and AC which required a lot of custom work in order to bring everything up to code. John was friendly, polite and very knowledgeable about the work that he was doing. I peppered him with a ton of questions and he answered all of them thoughtfully and helped me understand them completely. 2022-06-15Our technicians were Jay R. and Mike A. They had to perform extensive and time-consuming work installing A/C on the furnace in our attic. The whole process took about 10 hours. They did a fantastic job, cleaned up any mess they had to make and were polite and cheerful the entire time.Jayson was ok 🤣. I Would recommend Harriman Heating and Air Conditioning.

2022-04-11Josh is amazing! We had our furnace cleaned and filter changed. Joshs work is exceptional, he is very informative regarding future services, and always has a great demeanor. Josh was our tech last visit as well and I love that Harriman sends out the same tech when available as it truly makes the service feel personalized. Even my dog loves him. I would highly recommend Harriman because of their amazing techs like Josh!

2022-06-18I have used Harriman Heating for years to service my furnace and a/c.I have always found the workers to be polite and knowledgeable.When my a/c was making a horrible metal on metal sound I called for service and they scheduled me within a few days.The day of the appointment they called in the morning to give me a 4 hour window of arrival, then called me when the technician was enroute.The technician, Mitch, was very professional. He diagnosed the problem almost immediately but ran diagnostic tests to make sure there were no other issues.

He was very professional and after his inspection had me come down to the unit so he could show me visually as well as verbally his concerns and recommendations then also put them on my work order summary so I could discusswith my husband when he got off work.
