Unfortunately we had to have a funeral for our 20 yr old son which was just terrible. However Harry J Will funeral home made our experience the best it ever could possibly be. Cheyenne took such great care of us gently guiding us with such compassion and kindness that we will forever be grateful to her. She made herself easily available before, during and after the funeral. She also took care of donating my sons hair after the funeral to maggies wigs for kids since my son was already in the process of growing it out to donate it. The rest of the staff was also very gracious with us and our guests. Under the stressful and sad conditions we were under thus funeral home provided us with the care. Kindness and respect that everyone deserves when burying a loved one.

Kevin and the entire staff were extremely caring, supportive, and professional. My loved one passed unexpectedly and there was some complications on my end, with relatives and more. I received the utmost compassion from the entire staff. To say that they went above and beyond, does not give them justice. They were that wonderful! Especially for a mom who was also trying to care for her children, at such a trying time. They extended great care toward my children’s needs, and “that” speaks volumes to the character of each of these service professionals. I could not recommend them more. I am “very grateful” and “very blessed” that the Lord put “them” in my path at such a difficult and complicated time.
Absolutely perfect experience from the moment I call on Sunday afternoon and continuing weeks after. Kim the FD handled all with so much attention to details. She even coordinated with the cemetery. When we arrived there they had all the information. The facility was perfect for all of our guests both days. Having the luncheon in the banquet room in the lower level was most convenient and the food was good outstanding. Many of our guests commented on that. This was our fifth personal experience there in thirty years and it’s always been the best.Thank you Kevin and your outstanding staff for caring for our family in our time of need.
I highly recommend Harry J Will in Livonia. Everyone I worked with wasprofessional and compassionate. Rita was great to work during planning. She even made sure I was ok during the visitation. Kim was amazing. She took care of all the details and was with our family at church and cemetery. Her presence provided me great comfort during this very difficult time in my life.
They were awesome! At a very difficult time for my mom and our family, they took care of everything and then some. There was nothing we asked for that they didnt take care of. Very friendly and always willing to help. Even after my fathers funeral they are still helping my mother tie up loose ends and making sure she doesnt have to worry about anything.

Our family chose Harry J. Will Livonia location, because it was close to the cemetery where my mother was going to be buried. It was an excellent decision, the staff met every need (needs we weren’t even aware of). Cheyenne Fratrick, Resident Funeral Director offered her utmost professionalism, compassion and paid attention to every single detail. She was available at all times during our entire experience, which we found extremely impressive & comforting.We were under the impression that an independent family owned funeral home was was typically less expensive and much more personal than a larger one. We found just the opposite to be true.The hairdresser/make-up artist was amazing as well, she’s worked for them for over 20 years at all locations.Our mother looked beautiful and at peace. Our recent experience with the Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia, Michigan was excellent!We have attended several funerals at this location and attended other funerals at other locations. The facility is State of the Art compared to other facilities. In addition, the location is just off an expressway, which is convenient for funeral attendees.Our funeral director and his staff gave a professional presentation to our family, who have never had to make these arrangements before. We decided to make the funeral arrangements with them at that time.We would highly recommend this Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia, Michigan to anyone.
Matthew was very caring and a total professional. He watched out for my budget and took great care to ensure my husbands Army dress blue uniform was put together to be worn as it should be.He was always available for even my silly questions and stayed on top of all the details for the church funeral and subsequent transport and burial at Ft. Sam Houston National cemetery in Texas.I hope I dont need his services again, but if I did, hed be the first person Id call.
My grandfathers funeral service was held here and it was absolutely beautiful. He was a Marine and everyone that could be in uniform, was. The flow was beautiful, respectful, and exactly what our family was wanting. The staff worked with our family so well and we couldnt have asked for better.
They made everything very easy for us....and we had no idea what we were supposed to do....We are just so very thankful for Harry J Will Funeral Home. Thank you very much.
My mom and dad died a year apart. Harry Will Funeral Home was awesome for both! So much so that my husband and I have already prepaid our arrangements so our children can rest easy. At the one year anniversary of my mom’s death, they sent a certificate with a note that they sent a Teddy Bear to a child in need with her first name. I thought that was beautiful!
Kimberly and Kevin and all the staff we encountered served our family with compassion, and the highest level of integrity and professionalism in the unexpected homegoing of my mother. They walked with us through the experience and helped make the unbearable a little more bearable.
Life after death is something something less spoken of & can be more than overwhelming if dealt with by yourself . Harry J Will Funeral Homes Staff was more than all knowing with any/all situations that could possibly happen . From the Respectful Team who picked up and delivered my Mom from where she passed to the funeral, to making sure every fine detail was included within the Service . I cannot thank everyone enough to the Staff and my Rep Amy . But to everyone who makes everything possible . When she passed Harry J. made her last days all about her . I highly recommend to always pre plan but if you have a doubt, Harry J. will be able to take care of any concern possible . I cannot in good conscience recommend this funeral home.The building is nice, but the staff has lost their empathy. Empathy and attention to detail are JOB REQUIREMENTS for a funeral director.The make up on the deceased was awful, even though pictures were provided, and it had to be redone. Things happened associated with the mourners being outdoors that the funeral home was unprepared for. Communication was awful and Covid-19 seemed to be the excuse of the day. This is not their first covid-19 funeral and the wrinkles should have been anticipated and planned for before they even had the first Covid funeral much less worked out on the fly with excuses made. We were not told we had to remove the flowers after the viewing until after the viewing. Everyone had left at that point.At the cemetery, no one knew to stay in the cars upon arrival because no one told us the body was being transferred to a cemetery van. This resulted in funeral directors yelling stay in your cars or get back in your cars like cops. No one told us they had to transfer the casket in the street to a concrete vault and that it would be swinging from chains on the bucket of a backhoe and put in the grave. No one told us they had to COMPLETELY bury the body BEFORE the graveside service could take place. The graveside service is to be conducted at an OPEN GRAVE and the funeral director didnt think that was important info to share in advance? He was prompt to blame Covid though.My wife could not even watch this debacle and it will be her last memories of the deceased. We left.Our funeral director was Matthew JaeMin Rak and his attitude was lackadaisical and disrespectful. Everything was Covids fault. I would cremate someone before placing their body in his care.
Our Mom passed 12/28/19 and her funeral Mass was 1/17/20. Matthew Rak was was our funeral director. He was kind, respectful, compassionate and patient as he guided us through the process of making arrangements and planning a funeral. He helped us get through a difficult time in our lives. On the day of her funeral, Matthew provided directing and support again showing compassion.
My mothers funeral was held this week at the Harry J. Will funeral home in Livonia. I cannot say enough about the kind caring and professional staff. Kim handled all of the details and made sure everything ran smoothly. My family wishes to thank everyone that helped with her funeral.
Great place. Unfortunately we have use this company 3 times in the last 10 yrs. From my 11yr old son to the most recent my mother in law. Every situation was different and handle in A very professional matter. With my mother in law I was not involved with the business part. My wife at the time only wanted my shoulder thru this difficult time. But what I do know is every day my wife came home from the funeral home she was in good spirits. Thanks to Tim we were in good hands from start to finish.
My grandmothers experience in 2003 with my grandfather was exceptional. Apparently, 16 years later and customer service is null and void, but the expectation of high price is the upper hand. After being called “Gloria” several times, which is not my name, and correcting the many employees, several times, I received a text today, to Gloria. During the service the music would not play, we requested to have the flowers sent to hospice, they were still there three days later, we had to contact the insurance company ourselves to make sure they would be paid, we were given another families invoice with our thank you cards... the list goes on. Rude responses from the staff. When you are already mourning the loss of a loved one and you are paying about $10k+ for an outline of services, you expect things to be taken care of, especially when this is supposed to be their expertise. Go somewhere else if you can. - aka “Gloria”
Wed already been very pleased with HJWill 28 years ago for our fathers funeral, but they far surpassed that positive experience in time, effort, patience, profesional & empathetic service when we had to wait nearly 4 months before we could properly honor our mother with family & friends, due to CoV closures & limits. Thank you so much & well definitely refer others to you in the future. .
My friend highly recommended HJW when my Mother passed in July. From start to finish they made the funeral process as easy and seamless as possible. Their attention to detail, and customer service allowed my family to focus on saying goodbye. The downstairs suites for the family was amazing for entertaining my nieces and nephews, and they provided us with picture boards, display easles etc. I HIGHLY recommend them - you will not be disappointed.

Im very pleased with the service i received from harey J will Funeral Home, they show you alot of care and they support, i want to also include Tim he have been great helping me out with my moms grave marker and went an extra Mile to make sure its done the way I want it no matter how long it took, he also been there from day one setting the funeral and making sure everything is done they way we need it to be. I definitely recommen to anyone.

2022-06-21Exceptional service. No hard sell whatsoever. They could not have been more helpful, supportive and caring. My mom (deceased) looked beautiful because of the way they followed the picture we gave them for her hair and makeup. They consistently followed up with me on everything. A great experience all around. Wonderful people and staff means absolutely everything during a time like this. Live stream was superb, as was online obituary. Thank you!

2021-11-11We used Harry J Will Funeral Home in Livonia for my Mother seven years ago and again for our Dad / Husband this past June and both times the service and kindness has been outstanding. I would highly recommend them to everyone looking for an honest and caring funeral home for their loved one. Tim was our Funeral Director and was exceptional; communication was easy and he always responded to my phone calls very quickly.He is a very kind gentleman, and his staff was also very kind and accommodating.

There was no pressure in the experience. That was such a welcoming surprise and I am grateful for it, as it allowed us to calmly make our decisions with dignity, respect, and time. 2021-04-11The staff was friendly helpful, and respectful! The over all appearance of the the facility fantastic. They did a wonderful job on preparing my mother. You are never ready to have a funeral for a loved one. They did a wonderful job from the time they picked my mom up from the house until we said goodbye! Not once where we rushed in making a decision.

2020-04-15My mother recently passed and there are currently huge restrictions on funeral homes because of the pandemic. Despite all these restrictions the staff managed to remain very professional, never pushy, and worked around each and every one of our needs. They offered comfort as well as safety at their establishment. I would definitely recommend Harry J Will as a funeral home. Their staff is wonderful, caring, and completely professional. Dealing with all of this unexpectedly during the pandemic, was probably one of the hardest things that I have went through in my life. Harry J Wills staff made the business side of the process much easier!! Thank you to them from the bottom of my heart.

2021-04-13The entire Harry J Will staff was excellent from the first contact to the service and on to the cemetery. Costs for everything were in line with our expectations. The home itself was neat and clean. Parking was easy. Everyone showed their concern for us and helped us with every aspect of the funeral. Perfect and highly recommended.

2021-05-10Cheyenne and her Colleagues were top notch professionals. The showed Respect and Courtesy. They made me feel cared for in this emotional time. My Mother was shown the utmost respect. Her Services were dignified. In a world of uncertain times with the Pandemic they made sure my family who attended complied with Covid restrictions to ensure the health and safety of everyone.Although our meeting met with deep sadness I know my Mother felt their compassion and support for me and my family.The director, Jeff, even reached out to me and we chatted which I thought was exceptional.My Mother can rest a little easier that her loved ones were cared for in saying goodbye.Cheyenne, well, this young lady should be commended for her wisdom, knowledge and compassion .
