DO NOT use this facility- Ive been trying to get seen since Oct- they cannot seem to understand/get my insurance entered into their computer system correctly so I wait and wait to be seen... as of mid Dec I am STILL trying to get into therapy I am in talk with a malpractice attorney for denying me treatment - hygeria dropped the ball I dont know if we accept your insurance funny, I found out out yes, after just One phone call to my insurance.. Hegira kept saying I had medicaide insurance, I kept saying NO I dont. Hegira soc worker contacted me since I had medicaide- again, NO I DONT

They get paid for prescribing medications, not actually helping anyone so thats where their focus is. I dont need anyone else to tell me to go on Zillow or indeed for jobs and housing.

I called to get my son an appointment set up and the lady had a terrible attitude towards me the whole time and all I was doing was asking legit questions about the program...she told me it was a free program then went on about the insurance, then when I asked about if its free why are you even asking about insurance shes like oh when did I even say anything about free👀 umm why do you have an attitude towards me, she like oh I dont maam....Im just trying to get information on this place for my 9yo son to see a psychiatrist so he can get his meds hes almost out of because hes new pediatrician wont write for them🤦🏼‍♀️

Good therapy but literally cannot see a psychiatrist which is ridiculousEditing to update: idk what happened to make literally the entire staff in charge of the DBT therapy I was receiving as well as my personal therapist leave, but man its depressing because I actually had good therapy there until the pandemic. I had seen them for almost 2 years and was making significant progress. Then yall gave me a new therapist over the phone that yeah uh-huhs me to death and I feel was not a good match for me for my BPD or PTSD. None of our therapy was centered on that. Never saw a psych despite having 5 diagnoses, severe enough to be put on disability, hospitalize me throughout my life, and on top of it a history of suicidal tendencies, severe ptsd episodes, delusional thinking and hallucinations. Was appointed a physicians assistant who told me she was basically the same thing and just called and asked if I was OK every few months and wrote a script. A script mind you that wasnt helping but I gave up trying long ago, because I was met with I dont really know what to do due to one of my diagnoses making SSRIs out of the question and was refused anti-anxiety meds that had a long standing record of helping me.Also one time when I visited my therapist I was either having a panic attack or a heart episode as I have an arythmia. I was scared and almost called an ambulance but decided to go inside for help because I knew there was a clinic in there. The doctor took advantage of this, glossed over it, and tried to intake me as an established patient of hers.I felt scared and was completely confused.I have had a hell of a time since finding a therapist of my last ones caliber and willingness to dive deep into my illness and help me. Im so hopeless as of now and I wish this hadnt happened. I am leaving hegira in search of actual help. Since my therapist and DBT team left I have backslid, I can barely leave the house, can no longer drive due to panic attacks, have found myself in dangerous situations, and am having rage episodes that have been taxing on those around me. And all I can ask is why?I am thankful for the helpful staff that taught me so much before they left. If it wasnt for them I probably wouldnt be here anymore because they gave me hope and tools to keep trying. Otherwise, something needs to be done. Hegira isnt the same anymore, and it had issues to begin with.

Worst place ever!!! If u say something is wrong they will give u more and more meds. I will never go back to get service at all! The therapist are not right they dont even know how to treat u. Been going here since I was 13 never helped one bit. Expect for one person in the adult area. Stopped going a couple months ago!! They dont know how to keep their employees. I dont recommend this place to no one!!! Wish I could rate this place 0 stars thats how bad it is!!!!

An appointment was arranged through the Gatekeeper, Access, )the prior week. On the scheduled day, I arrived early to learn the office opened at 9, not 8:30, as I had been informed.Once entering the facility, the staff stated a walk-in appointment was not available. When I informed staff this was NOT walk-in, but scheduled via Access, staff stated she knew of no such service called Access. Subsequent phone calls resulted in locating a person who saw I HAD arranged an an appointment..I ncourage others to email the Wayne County Mental Heath Board with your concerns

I lost my Medicaid and my case worker cancelled my appointment. I could no longer see the nurse practitioner or get refills on my medication. Even when I was able to see the nurse practitioner, getting a refill was like pulling teeth. I once left 3 voicemails with the nurse. When she finally called me back, she said I would have to wait it out a couple days. I had to go to COPE and wait 6 hours to get a prescription. Ridiculous.

This place is amazing. I discovered Hegira from a referral from the ER. They offer mental health and substance abuse help. They welcome ANYONE. Insured or not. If you have trouble paying they will still see you, and help you file for state aid/ or payment assistance. I have been to dozens of places... and my therapist here is THE BEST THERAPIST I’VE EVER HAD!Thank you Hegira! Without my therapist here I would be so lost.

Took my child in for an intake appointment in March and still have not heard back from anyone. Not one of my 11 phone calls have been returned. I cannot get any answers from anyone. I have now had to reach out to Wayne County Mental Health Services for help.My husband also went to Higera and they neglected to call his medication in for over a month leaving him with no medications at all. Called every day, some days two and three times and “Kitty MacDonald”(name on the voice mail I was sent to over and over) did not return one call. Malpractice at it’s finest.Facilities like this is why our mental health system is so terrible.

The worst place I have ever seen. This place was not helpful even in the slightest. I absolutely recommend you go literally anywhere else. The doctors are terrible. After the appointment they were supposed to call in the medication and would not do so for DAYS. My pharmacy could not get ahold of the office at all. If I could I would give them zero stars. Please don’t go here if you want help. This place deserves to be shut down.
