Comment: Experience in short:1) got my replacement car here instead of in Hertz @Crowne Plaza Milpitas (no longer exist, being misguided by Hertz phone agent) on Aug 30th, 20232) picked up a reasonable same grade vehicle and a document was provided, stating 100% fuel provided but wasnt mentioned by the Manager Associate. (which I wasnt aware of)3) car had only 72 miles to go and a bit more than quarter of a tank.4) went back to talk to the Manager Associate and was told to return as it is to SFO (where the rental started) as there was no facilities nearby to fill up the tank; took a business card from Manager Associate.5) took pic of the dashboard, just in case.6) Dropped off car at SFO and took pic of the dashboard and waited for 15 minutes to talk to the agent about the fuel level at SFO with no results.7) a day later, got charged with $354 for fuel and related charges (which was not clearly explained by any of the agents) and the amount was over the authorised amount as stated in contract.8) followed up with complaints to Hertz, waited 10 days for the first reply of email, replied with all evidence9) complaint responded quickly by Hertz customer service via email and the amount was refunded within 5 days.Suggestions (if you want to get a vehicle in this Hertz location):1) READ carefully all the document that was given.2) TAKE pictures of the dashboard and of anything that you are concerned with before and after3) TAKE a business card of the person you are talking to4) INSIST on getting the vehicle fully filled with fuel (or check against the document to ensure correctness) to avoid any time that would have spent on all the following ups.

Comment: When rent a car from this place, make sure you take photos of every damage the car comes with and the gas level. Otherwise they will start some nonsense.We returned the car with half tank, even more than the original of 3/8 tank (as it shows on an info sticker on the car key). For some reason the agent said their system had it at full tank and insisted we need to pay extra gas fee. He also peeled off that info sticker with tank level and ignored no matter how hard we insisted that we should recover that piece of info.There was a small patch of damage on the side, which we took photo at pick-up. The agent also ignored our photo and evidence, implying it’s our fault.He at the end let us go as if he’s playing a good cop here :) Please take photos of everythingAlso our final receipt shows $79.23 but my credit card statement says they charge me $80. It’s not about this $.77, but like is this even allowed to charge your client extra money for nothing??

Comment: Horrible customer service not trying to help or do anything for the customer.My aunt and her son are visiting from overseas, my aunt dont have a credit card and she is the driver and wanted to use her son card for the rental and was refused- three weeks ago they did rent a car from the same location in the same way!This time I had to drive there and rent it on my name, and had my aunt as second driver and pay 14$ a day extra for no reason just because she forgot her credit card back home.The car they try to give us was lower grade then what they booked - and very dirty, when we refused the car they tried to charge us for an upgrade which is not acceptable. Also the other car was dirty.

She did no acknowledge us and we waited around for 30 min after no one was being help. After Aakash refused to recognize us an young Indian man assisted us and then she became interested in tell him what to do on our account. When my daughter tried to explain our situation she cut her off with attitude and said she didn’t not say what she thought my daughter was asking. The customer service is terrible here. Comment: My husband and I were in San Jose traveling and had an accident where someone actually hit our car while we were inside a store shopping. We ended up needing a rental car. I called Enterprise first and they kept asking for my credit card which kind of weirded me out. So I hung up and tried Hertz. The super sweet guy I talked to was so empathetic and when I told him my situation the first thing he asked was if we were okay. They hooked us up with a nice car to drive home to Merced in. The car was clean and nice. He even gave us a bottle of water while we waited for the paperwork to be completed. I 100% recommend these guys!! If I even need to rent a car again I will without a doubt be giving Hertz my business! Thank you for your kindness and personable employees!

Comment: Experience was horrible at this location. I have been renting with Hertz for a while and they have always taken care of me. But at this location they do not know how to communicate clearly to you. The car was supposed to be fully covered by insurance and hertz was given the rate of my coverage but gave me a car that was way over myCoverage and when I received the car it was dirty. He told me to bring back the car with a full tank of gas and when I got in it only had half a tank!!! Overall I will never come to this location again nor would I recommend it.

Comment: Surprised, amazed & whhaaatt an experience. This cant be, I feel like Im getting pranked. Wasnt expecting to receive such a stellar customer service from Mr Rhys Sanchez . From the beginning, he was incredibly courteous, polite & emphatize w/me, due to the mishap I had when someone back into my car leaving church parking lot. It was an incident & series of headaches I have to go through, which couldve been easily avoided if the defendant/insured Al couldve just looked over his left shoulder, other than rushing to get out. Additionally, I called all around town to obtain a car rental replacement & they were either not picking up their calls or ran out of cars. So, Mr Rhys handled my reservation, greeted me as soon as I walked in & he handled everything like a pro. I walked out of Hertz feeling much relieved because of what Mr Rhys have done. He was quite helpful, showed his sincere concern & provided me an excellent, over the top customer service, sight unseen or rare in his industry. Ive been renting cars for over 2 decades now & as a service provider myself, whove served & is still serving in the military, these are the kind of people we rely heavily on to accomplish our mission & expect to have our back, any & every time. There was just one woman, Cherrise, helping everyone and she had to do everything right from inspecting cars retuned by people and even vacuuming and washing the cars before renting it to someone. At one point I started knocking on one of the doors in the room and someone came out and said he cant help me because he was in a meeting.

Comment: Do not rent from this Hertz location. I made a car rental for an insurance-backed car repair at Fix Auto, and even though I returned the car on time to the shop, Hertz charged me an extra 12 days on my credit card due to a mistake on their part. Even after numerous escalations to the regional manager and the main corporate branch, the issue remains unresolved after 2 weeks. A reputable location would have a manager that does all that he can to rectify an error they made as quickly as possible, escalating up the management chain as necessary. Daniel, the manager at this location, seems unwilling to do so, and it this is very disappointing to see. The regional manager has been much more apologetic, but my expectation is always that customer service comes from the original POC with the customer.

Comment: Sleeping on the streets thanks to hertzI reserve a car on line fo uber at 240 a week. I get to hertz ofĺpfice and I get the bait n switch. Now the only thing available is a car at 290 week. I have no choice and rep tells me he will adjust it for now but I pay remaining at end of contract. I need to work Im about to be kicked out of place Im at. Uber voucher didnt work and I was charged $27 just to get to hertz . So I say fine . Oh by the way in the future if someone reserve a car on line and u dont have it that should fall on hertz not the customer. The customer should be upgraded at no cost.2 I get in the car barely get it out of parking lot and breaks seized up and fail causing car to fishtail putting my life in danger(what if I was at a intersection or on the freeway and this happened?)3. Car was picked up by hertz roadside assistance. In total I had the rental in total about 45min from start to breakdown to waiting for tow. I didnt eĥven make it 1/2 a mile4. I gave hertz all I had so I could work and not be back on the streets. I was a delivery/uber driver 4 years ago then covid hit. I Lost everything my home my uber/doordash rental car and my son my little boy who is severely autistic and doesnt understand why im gone . I have been fighting for 4 years to catch up to get off the streets and bring my son home. Fighting for a car to buy or for a uber/DoorDash rental car. I picked up Change, collect cans . Flew signs, dumpster dived for old furniture to restore and sell.5. I finally saved enough money to get off the streets for a week and rent a car for work. I planned to work right away which would In turn pay for the place I was staying at.while i continud to work every day with goal of getting an apartment to bring my son home. ĺ6.But Instead my world is once again shattered. Because hertz gave me an unsafe, undrivable car that its breaks failed putting my life I danger as well those around me. I only had the car 45 min. All I got to do was drive out of lot and turn left the breaks failed then wait for hertz roadside assistance.Hertz office was closed so i Called the next Day. the Rep Said he had to close The account and I get the money fefunded to start New Reservation . I told him I didnt have 3 days and the website said hertz was Suppose to Just Put me in another Car . the .same OR next Day . I told him I going To Lose My place I worked So hard to get . He said he was sorry nothing he could do . Oh and I was gonna be Charged For 2 days Of the Rental . I was Shocked and upset. he said again nothing he could DO .So Now hertz takes the 2 days and because Of this I now DO NOT have enough to get a rental. I pay for food and 2 more days Of the space Im at.7 I am now sleeping on the streets once again heartbroken missing my little boy.The only thing that could help fix this is if hertz gave me a uber/door dash rental free for 2 weeks so I could catch back up and get my temp place back and off the streets. Then after 2 weeks . I could start paying the 240 weekly rental.Hertz told me charges were correct and I had no basis for a refund. So Im posting what they did everywhere to me and my disabled little boy.
