Comment: Reserved a Tesla several days before pick up and on the day I reserved it for, I called to let Hertz know I was coming in and they said they had no cars available (for both electric and gas). This left me stranded at the body shop for several hours.What is the point of a reservation if it doesn’t reserve a car for you?Hertz should have called me to let me know about their situation.

Comment: My friend referred me to G.Grove Hertz for a car rental.On the day of picking up, I met Hieu and the other 2 gentlemen who were all very courteous, helpful and friendly so I had a chance to talk and laugh with them.One gentleman said that he interviewed and hired Hieu. Thats why I said to him that he should be happy because most Vietnamese dont complain or whine at work but just work and work to get the job done...and he complimented about Hieus punctuation to work.Hieu helped me to get a pretty new car with less than 5K miles, he made sure to have it cleaned and explained clearly everything before I left.Two days after I returned the car, he called and let me know how much the total charge was because I did use the Toll Roads/FasTrack and then finalized the bill. He also made sure if I was satisfied with the service.I absolutely will use G.G Hertz Rental in the future and have no hesitation to refer my family/friends when they need to rent a vehicle.Thanks to Hieu and the whole team for a great customer service!

It is better to call to ask for the availability of cars as online booking dont seem to give accurate information regarding cars available to rent (which isn’t the office’s staff’s fault so please treat them with respect and be patient!) Aside from that, everything went smoothly from getting the car to dropping it off to the airport.

Comment: Statefarm covered our rental car and we were told we only had to call to arrange pick-up and drop-off dates. When we got there the front desk the worker surprised us with the $50 sec. deposit which we were happy to pay BUT they dont accept cash and didnt accept the policy holders ONLY credit union debit card. When I tried to pay on her behalf we were told Only the policy holder can pay so we were left with no car and had to call our insurance claims and were informed we should have been able to pay and statefarm didnt know why they told us that so weve been sent to Enterprise. DO NOT RECOMMEND HERTZ, they will tell you over the phone everything is ready but surprise you with inconveniences once you go to the location.

The car was super clean and smelled fresh.On top of that, I accidentally left my personal key after returning the car. And I tried my luck to ask if they had my key after several days. Sure enough Javier has seen it and saved my key there! Thank you again. Will come back soon for next rental need.

When I went to get the car a couple of hours after I said I would be there, they said because I didnt come within a half hour of my reserved my time, they cancelled it and had no car. I was told that I would have to come back after 4 p.m. and maybe they will have a car for me. Also, they do not pick or deliver. I had to go to a complete different company and pay twice as much as I should have. I will not ever use these guys because they are liars.

Comment: Its not even worth one star! After getting all the rental documents from the receptionist, I told them to go behind the car and collect it! The guide goes somewhere else! When I told him I was there to pick up the car, the employee said he didnt receive anything and sat quietly listening to music! (I think he was a car wash employee) I waited for 30 minutes! Finally, I wash the car and give it to you!I made a reservation at 10 oclock, but I waited for almost an hour to get the car!Shouldnt I wash the car in advance and have it wait?I used it for 3 weeks, but when I return it, they ask for a $500 car wash fee!I thought it was absurd and expensive, so they gave it to me for $100! There was some sand on the floor! I even ended up in a ridiculous situation where I had to wash the car and return it after saying I would wash it and return it!This is the worst rental car office!

Comment: I made a prepaid reservation 5 days ago for a car then no car for me, an 3 hour delay option, not 100% sure for me but i only rent for a day ???I used to go to Hert in Huntington beach which never disappoints me while i live in Garden grove, :( give a try for closer location but failed. That makes sense when they have only 3 stars review. They even say anything sorry for that.

Comment: If your trying to get a rental car I don’t recommend this location they gave me my car a hour late and I wasted more gas since it was a bigger vehicle that I didn’t ask for. Then the car started leaking oil so I wasted my whole Sunday trying to exchange the vehicle and they still charged me another day. Victor was very inconsiderate of the situation and basically said not my problem so if you want your car rental experience to go smooth and not waste your time trying to get to where you need to go I don’t recommend this location at all!!

Comment: About a month or two ago I was looking for many different rental places to rent out a car for Vegas and I came across Hertz. An overall pleasant experience as I was able to rent my first car here (2020 at Toyota Corolla) without a problem and at that time I wasn’t charged a young rental fee as many other places do. Had the car for a couple days without a problem from picking it up at this location and returning it at John Wayne Airport and the price I paid for the rental was very good compared to other rental places.

Comment: I came in after a bad experience with the enterprise down the street who I had a reservation with. As soon as I came in Victor helped me get a car and got me setup at a moments notice. Victor was professional and very polite and I even had options to choose from. This made my morning because otherwise I wouldve basically been stranded. If your car is in for repair I definitely recommend this hertz location. Victor is a great guy.

Comment: Exterior of the car had many scuffs/scrapes & interior had tons of stains plus a HOLE in the upholstry. Reaked of stale cigarette smoke. Windshield wipers were useless.Drop off was fine but pick-up was not. Joel made sure those of us waiting heard how irrate he was that we 3 customers all showed up in the last half hour before he was to close at noon (Sat). Then he rushed us through, handling my check out and another customers simultaneously, on 2 different registers. Outside, while I was trying to take pix of the condition of the car, he was shoving his device in my face, asking me to sign off of the pix he took. Felt rushed, for sure.I used to view Hertz as the top of the line for car rentals. That has changed, after this experience.

Comment: The staff was great, however who ever is in charge of cleaning the cars needs to be fired. Got a sonata and there was not only stains on the seats. There was coffee like slappers on the Passenger seat belt where the belt extends from. I was able to clean it will water and a towel. So I feel I need to clean the car now. I ever felt that way about a car before. Just FYI I do my own car work and work outside a lot so it’s not a germaphobia thing.

It took me so long to get the car and return it because theres only 1 person working the front desk.I was referred yo Hertz by the insurance company after my car was rear ended and was asked to call 1 day ahead to ensure they had the size car I needed (8 passenger), I called 5 days ahead and was assured everything was set. Then when I got there they only had a sedan (5 passenger). I told them I had called ahead and was then told that wasnt a guarantee...umm what?? They were finally able to get me a 7 passenger car. If I didnt have my kids waiting on me I wouldve gone somewhere else.On the other hand, the car was clean and had everything I needed.

Comment: Really easy my car has been totaled since then and I have purchased a new car however Hertz was great they pick me up they drop me off everything was done very fast very easy even with State Farm involved or they pay 80% and I paid 20%. They took a small down payment and off I went. And it was just as easy to drop it off at another location when I was done. I wish all rental car places were like this and the staff was exceptional.

Comment: Rented a van from Hertz and when I went to pick it up they didnt have a van for me. Instead they had brought a free upgrade to a GMC Yukon. This car was loaded with gadgets, DVD players for the kids and every upgrade you could possibly imagine. I was worried about gas mileage at first but in the end it got great gas mileage and the car was SO comfortable. They honored the lower cost insurance and I was extremely satisfied with the great customer service by the employees at Hertz. Everyone who helped me was wonderful. All very friendly and extremely helpful. I will defiantly use Hertz again. 😊

Comment: The employees at Hertz took care of me like I was family. From the time I got there till the time I had to return the car, they were nothing but polite and courteous. They will call to follow up and make sure everything was OK and that I was happy with my rental. Because it was from an accident not of my own fault I think they treated me with extra care. I dont think I dont want from another company ever again. I recommend using them to anybody who has to rent a car. Comment: Mother Made a reservation 2 months in advance for a specific vehicle (a minivan) and when we arrived to pick it up, even after calling ahead to confirm the vehicle was there, all we got was a cheesy song and dance as to why they didnt have what was reserved 2 months ago and confirmed was available just 2 days prior. Seriously... A Reservation....Two months in ADVANCE!!! Very unhappy with how they handled this. Will NOT EVER rent from Hertz again. ☹️ They were rude and had a very oh well bummer for you kind of attitude with us. To top it all off, when I mentioned the tires were low on air we were told to go to a gas station and have them ( the gas station people) put air in them for us. Who offers full service options like that anymore? Thats right... No one! 14 pounds low on air in the front tires and 12 pounds low on the back tires. Went and did Hertzs job for them myself. Very disappointed with Hertz. Even more so with the folks at this location. Horrible customer service. Should have stuck with Enterprise Rental, coupon or not. Wont be back, will definitely not recommend them. Too many minuses, not enough pluses. ☹️

Not only does he give me a car with three fourths of a tank of gas and then charges me for extra fuel when I return at the same level but then tells me I need insurance which he says the insurance company has to cover then doesnt, then charges me on my credit card. That guy that works there is a total liar make sure you have a full tank of gas before you leave or theyll charge you! And you dont need the insurance that they offer. your insurance through your own car will do. its a total scam! Then the guy tells me hell get the company to reimburse me and here it is 3 months later and I still havent been credited the money I was promised. Ill never use hertz again!
