Comment: Great service. Actually, incredible service. And I mean it! I’ve rented so many cars over the years and this is by far the best location I’ve ever been too. Comment: Booked the managers special to lock in a low rate, and then when I arrived, I was told it only applied to a Tesla that needed two hours to charge. They refused to honor what I booked online and offered a higher rate on a larger car with no other options to meet the rate I booked online. So I walked next door to Enterprise.

Comment: I always rent from Hertz and am also a Gold member but my experience here was one of the worst I have had in my 15 years of using Hertz. Got a Nissan altima as my rental and it had low tire air pressure in one tire. They fixed that temporarily by overfilling all the tires from the next door car mechanic shop. Next day I see the same issue so brought the car back to the location and the Manager actually made me wait so he could take the car to the mechanic to look at it. Thats one of the worst customer service I have ever seen. I am not renting car to come and wait at the location while some mechanic is trying to fix it. After I raised this co concer with the manager he finally gave me another car. Communication was horrible by the staff who was actually the Manger of the location. I would rather drive to Burbank or LAX to get a car next time instead. Plus the place smells disgusting as well.

Pricing is so sleezy and they slip in hidden fees.Final reviewFront desk reps are nice and friendly thats the only plus.All the negatives.Vehicle fees and management are absolutely dogsh**. Was Quoted 765 for my rental. Bill turned out to be 1600 dollars for renting an EV. They said they didnt receive the vehicle when I dropped it off and billed me an additional 1.5k. Price ended up being double the amount in the end after i had corporate make a conference call with me and the office, they ended up taking off the charge that they WAY overbilled me for. So many hidden fees, manager is blatantly irresponsible and they absolutely suck at keeping track of rentals. 0/10 wouldnt ever rent from these guys. Ended up thinking Id pay around 800ish for a 10 day rental, ended up paying 1.6k after they tacked on fees.

Comment: I had a bad experience with this store, I wish I had read the reviews before, I booked a USV car that when I got there it was not available, in addition to all the various fees the seller asked me to pay telling me that it was X value and that I paid on the card debit, another amount was also included that I had already paid on the credit card to rebook the car, finally a confusion with payments, be aware of this payment issue (especially if you booked your car through the app), because they make a mess with the fees and then you are at a loss and cannot get your money back

Comment: 1/24 I made a car reservation for 1:30PM at 12:30PM for a mazda 3 rental for 3 days. I came at 1:30 and they told me to try back at 4 because I made the reservation too recently. I came back at 4 and as I was pulling in I see the car I reserved pulling out and pull into the neighboring carwash. I was initially frustrated that it was just being washed until I went and and sat down for 15 minutes for them to tell me that they dont have the vehicle in the lot and could only offer me a tesla at a significant increase. Absolutely ridiculous. Why have me come back 2 and a half hours later to tall me that, especially when my number was on my contact info. Do yourself a favor and go to the enterprise next door.

Comment: After speaking with a few Hertz rep/road side assistance I was not sure what the process of a flat tire repair was but when I called in and spoke with Clint he was able to resolve my issue by submitting a ticket to Pep Boys directly. This was a breath of fresh air to hear because the Hertz reps I had previously talked to advised me to buy the tire and I would be reimbursed when I return the vehicle which wasnt for another 2 months and as we all know, cost for tires is a pretty penny. Comment: From the time that I was picked up at my auto body repair facility to the time I checked out and was returned to pick up my car, I had a great experience with this particular Hertz facility.Martin, the gentleman who provided a ride to pick up my rental car, and returned me back to the shop, was very personable and made the ride to pick up the rental/return me back to the repair facility provided enjoyable conversation.Kenneth, the gentleman who helped me select a car on their lot that would fit my long term needs (I had to rent a vehicle for 2+ weeks), made sure that I liked the features of the vehicle before he assigned a vehicle to me (I had 3 to choose from that day).Francisco, the gentleman who checked in the car upon return, kindly answered the questions I had, regardless of how stupid (I felt) they were. He also communicated with me when the driver would be available to return me to the repair facility as I had a short wait.Overall, I was extremely pleased with the customer service provided. Easily the best experience with Hertz that I have encountered in all the years of renting vehicles for business or leisure. Thank you!

Comment: This place is a nightmare. I normally rent through enterprise but my insurance company set up my rental car while my car was getting serviced and did it through hertz. They were supposed to come at 10am to pick me up from where I dropped off my car. A half hour later no one was there. The mechanic even called to find out if someone was coming to get me. Finally someone from hertz came to get me. IT WAS A MILE AWAY!! I could have walked there faster than it took them to pick me up. No one was in the office and it took forever until someone came to help me. Thankfully I saw the employee get into the car he gave me keys for because he just handed me the key and sent me on my way. Didnt show me the car or anything. The car was disgusting. Youd think being in a pandemic they would get the inside cleaned out. There were stains and crumbs and dirt just on the joint stick alone. After waiting for 20 minutes, I’m told that my minivan is not guaranteed Friday when I get here. I ask how that’s possible?! I reserved it almost 2 weeks ago! Plan for my reservation and have my car ready or don’t offer classes of vehicles. The counter guys say “We don’t like third party reservations and this is why.” (I rented via Priceline). I’m holding a legitimate Hertz reservation number and I tell them that maybe they should lower their prices to compete with third-party reservations so we won’t have to use them. I called the 800 Hertz number and they said that they DO guarantee the minivan class. I told them to call the local store counter and the counter guys tell Hertz that they never said that. Unfortunately for this place in particular, I can say that they do not keep up maintenance on these vehicles or maybe the choice of words are, they dont inspect the vehicles properly. The inside of the windows has caked on hurt. Do know how hard it is to get gurt off a window? The tire pressure is unbalanced, not to mention that a couple of the tires are damage pretty bad. Dents all around the car as if someone was punching it. Im just saying that not just this place but all places needs to make sure that the vehicles are properly maintenance inside as well as out side. Stop running the car through the rinse cycle and actually clean it up. Wash the windows inside and out thats what they make window cleaner for.

Comment: Horrible!! Rented a car on Friday and returned it on Saturday. Instead of releasing the $200.00 deposit on return, they charged an additional $100.00 . Lo and behold, they ADDED ANOTHER $100.00 hold on Monday morning, - this even after I called and complained on Sunday. The ‘official’ explanation is that the deposit cannot be returned until the contract is closed out and cannot be closed out until the agency opens. And. What about the addition of $100,00 per day over the week-end? I am appalled! Talk about ‘highway robbery! Pun intended.

No reservation, no wait, plenty of cars and fantastic customer service, for the same cost.

Comment: Enterprise which is next door to Hertz had $20 a day cars. Didnt want to go to Enterprise so I asked Hertz if they had available cars and was told they did. But they wouldnt do anything on price even though they were more than twice as expensive. There were a lot of cars sitting there on this day but I guess it is better to look at them on the lot than make money. The manager wasnt there because he will usually match or come close to competitors. I let them sit on their lot. I wasnt paying double.

This is my favorite place to rent a car because their staff provides amazing customer service and so far, I liked the cars I rented. I had a pleasure dealing with Jack who was extremely helpful with all the questions or issues i had several times. Jack is definitely a problem solver and knows how to handle an upset customer. I would highly recommend this location due to its outstanding work ethics and willingness to help their costumers. Jack definitely deserves a spotlight for being so patient and accommodating. Comment: The staff was very helpful. They were very busy most of the afternoon. I called for a cab to get back to where Im staying and waited almost 2 hours. Finally I asked the people behind the counter how long does it take to get a cab? One of the staff offered to give me a ride and did. Im very grateful and so is my little dog who was waiting for me to get back. They were very respectful to all the customers who came in while i was waiting for a taxi. They actually ran out of cars before I left. Not one person had any problems with the staff while i was there.

Comment: To say that my experience was appalling is an understatement. Here are the highlights of the disgusting service:A) The location is filthy. It looks like it survived a Friday night brawl.B) The staff are unfriendly and rude unless you have head office customer service on the phone to motivate them.C) Regardless of whether you have secured a car ahead of time and call ahead to let them Know you are going to be late, they will give your car away and leave you waiting for an hour while they get you another car. They will proceed to blame you for being late when you challenge them about the car not being ready.D) The customer service department is useless and unhelpful. Just so you know, it’s not their job to help you; just collect information so a manager can call you back at his convenience.The bottom line - find another company!!!

Comment: I made a reservation at this location on a Friday at 10am to pickup a car at 1pm on the same day. When I got there Hertz employee informed me that they do not have any cars to give me and that all of the cars that I see on the lot are already attached to a reservation.My company has a corporate account with Hertz and I will make sure to inform them that Hertz does not honor our corporate reservations.Next time please do not accept any reservations at your location when you do not have any cars available. You may need to train your employees on how to use the internal systems to turn off accepting reservations through the Hertz portal -- I know that this may be a challenging task which I found out to be a very common theme at this location.Also you need to train your employees or put in a new process in place to call/notify customers if they can not fulfill a reservation before the customer drives all the way down to the car lot to hear the bad news -- the bad news not only not having a car for my reservation but also the bad news that I am dealing with a business that is poorly managed that can not get the one most important thing about their business model right --- provide rentals to their customers.Free advice from a consultant. The next one I will send you my invoice :)

Comment: I just rented a car for a one day trip to Bear Mountain for skiing, and would definitely go back! Tom was very helpful. When I inquired as to a more economical option, he actually gave me the name of another company, which did not work out, so I came back. I did find that calling and showing up resulted in better options than were available on line. The deal I ended up with was very affordable, even better than renting with individuals who were offering to rent their cars on-line. There was no attempt to up-sell to a larger car or insurance. Again, I plan to go back.

Comment: The overall renting of the car was a frustrating experience.Online I selected that I was between the age of 20-24. The car I looked at was $28.00/day (I was only renting for a day).I called the universal(general) Hertz number and set up the car I wanted several days before. I also asked for the loss and damage protection plan. The guy I spoke with on the phone gave me a deal with the price of $xx.00. The day before I needed the car I again called the general Hertz number to confirm my rental and they confirmed the price of $xx.00. I then called this specific location and they again confirmed my total of $xx.00.Upon arrival the day of pick up I was informed that my price was over twice as what I was originally told. When I explained they said the car rental was $47.00/day not $28.00 (plus some other charges I was not aware of). I did not have time to find another solution so I had to pay the much higher rate. I was very frustrated with the whole ordeal and will not be renting from here again.I gave two stars only because the car was decently nice.
