Comment: We were referred here by Sunland Ford as our Lincoln needed service and we needed a rental. We got here at about 10:45 and was told it would be 45 minutes because they needed to have the car washed. At about 11:30, we asked how much longer, and was told yet ANOTHER 45 minutes as the car was still at the car wash. At 12:15, we AGAIN asked where our car was, and was told it should be here shortly. Its now after 12:45 and still NO CAR. It has NEVER taken me more than 10-15 minutes to get a rental. Two HOURS is absolutely NOT acceptable (not to mention the rude staff). If I could give this place a negative rating, I would. Since this location is within a GM DEALERSHIP, I can only guess its because we were sent here by a FORD dealership (we will be informing the Ford dealership of the shoddy treatment weve gotten here; hopefully theyll stop sending people over here).UPDATE. We ended up canceling our car. The manager refused to tell us her name, which proves to me she knew shed been lying to us, that she wasnt providing acceptable customer service, and that shes had multiple complaints filed against her already.We ended up going to Enterprise, who also needed to have a vehicle washed before they could release it. It took them 15-20 minutes max. Will be going there from now on and am recommending that Sunland Ford use them instead.

Comment: I want to share this because until this experience, I didn’t understand how hard it is for these guys. First, if I based my review on my initial phone call and interaction I would not give it 5 stars. They were kind of dismissive but polite HOWEVER when I spoke with them in person, I was able to get help. We had a ridiculous situation with an EV that wouldn’t charge. Pretty much, nobody answered the phone or if you did get through they couldn’t help you. This applies to all of the surrounding locations. The employees at these will just do their job albeit with a little sympathy when you have a problem but can’t really offer any solutions because their hands were tied. The help came from when we just had a conversation with the employees here. Road side assistance tried to tell us to go to LAX or Palm Springs, which wouldhave cost a fortune in towing. He said we should try Ontario which was closer and we could basically coast down the freeway which was all down hill. Thankfully he knew the area and knew the vehicle. We made it. NEVER EVER rent an EV for a long trip, it’s a nightmare.

Comment: Not happy with my experience with this location.First off, I was charged to have my spouse drive the vehicle. As a Gold member, spouses are able to drive free of charge. So, if you are having your spouse drive, be sure you provide proof of marriage to avoid being charged, especially if you still use your maiden name.Second, the vehicle was in dire need of an oil change, but the alert came up after the location was closed. Due to this, we arrived at our destination with 0% oil life (the oil was black when checked) and had to take an entire day out of our trip to take the vehicle to have an oil change performed - courtesy of roadside assistance voucher. While the approved location changed the oil, they noted the tire tread was uneven and notated as in need of replacement.When returning the rental, the representative stated the oil change was not needed and the tires were fine when the rental was provided to us (based on pictures).

It’s closed 5 minutes early when it’s supposed to be at 12:00pm? Very unprofessional hertz, I will also be calling the customer service telephone number about this experience. If anyone has a reservation on a Saturday make sure to check in early in the day as this location doesn’t honor the business hours.

Hubcaps we’re cracked and steering wheel was cracked.While driving the vehicle to Las Vegas, NV it flashed a warning that it needed an oil change. I had to go to 2 different Hertz locations to switch out the vehicle (very time consuming).I was told at the Las Vegas location that I wouldn’t be able to get compensated until I got to the Victorville Buick location. I got there and the agent Adam was very rude and unhelpful. He gave me a number to call making me jump through more hoops. At the end of the day I still wasn’t properly compensated for the inconvenience.Never go to this location and deal with Adam, and never rent from Hertz!

I tried online to use a corporate code (because it gave me $15 off) but when I entered it in I kept getting a error code I figured no big deal I dont care about saving $15 since it was going to be paid for.... Well when I went to pick up that was required... I would have to wait 24 hours to reschedule another car (even though my appointment was ready) they would refund the original amount (but told 7-10 business days for it) and I would have to pay a higher amount to pick up the next day. I fell like theses are outdated polices with how far technology has come with electronic payments.

Comment: We rented a car from this hertz on civic when we received our rental it still had someone else’s used make up, blunt roaches, and tobacco under the seats, and it smelled like cigarettes very strongly. After returning the rental I discover we left our bag with all our shoes in the back. I called hertz to ask if my bag had been removed from the car during the return inspection, the lady I spoke to was very rude from start to finish, when I asked about my shoes she told me she didn’t have to check she knew they weren’t there, she refused to help me in any kind of way, and when I mentioned to her if she could possibly ask anyone else if they’ve may have seen them she simply told me no. And her explanation was that she didn’t have to help me find my shoes because I should have checked my rental before returning, which is true, but I certainly received zero help or even cooperation from this hertz employee. Then she continued to tell me that this was a personal problem and that she could care less if I found my shoes. If I could rate zero I would. Very rude employees, no customer service, and very unprofessional. And I never found my shoes.

Comment: If I could give zero stars I would. If you value the time in your day or have something to do, do Not come to this branch. I placed a reservation for a car online, I payed an Uber to give me a ride there. I wait in line for about an hour just for them to tell me there are no vehicles. I was told to wait an hour to see if something comes in. After an hour they realized they had trucks in the back that just needed to be washed. I waited another hour and finally got the car. Returning the car, another hour wait to turn in the keys and get my receipt. They need to hire more people and get their life together as a company. The site shouldnt be allowed to reserve vehicles if there are none available. I pray my car doesnt end up back in the shop so I wont have to deal with this again.

Comment: Luckily I was only turning in a vehicle. The lady was more concerned with her private conversation that I was obviously interrupting when I came in. She said and I quote this the keys to vehicle? Ok, be right back. Comes back a few minutes later here you go and hands me a paper. Im reading it and looking to see what am I suppose to do mean while she is already back in her conversation with someone. I ask do I need to do anything or sign anything or show my id. She shook her head no and continues her conversation. Me and my husband leave and I check cc charge just to be sure everything is good which it was. Vehicle was great and charge was accurate, if I had to rent the car from her I definitely would have went somewhere else but I was just turning one in so no big deal.

Comment: Worst Rental Company ever. I rented a car on March 21, 2019 and received rental almost empty. Craig Ford was my Rental Rep. Upon returning rental I was later charged $100.08 for not having a full tank of gas. I was never given a full tank of gas why should I have been charged this fee. I provided my reciept showing I had to get gas upon leaving Hertz the day of my rental. I have been to this Hertz over 3 times, several calls to Manager and keep getting the run around on my refund. No I DO NOT want a free Rental I want my money back today. Get your story straight. If I could give a proper rating it would be 1/2 star. Horrible Horrible. Do Not rent from Hertz Civic Drive.

Comment: Hertz Car Rental AV or Victorville. ** A V O I D **I have made reservations to pick up at these locations for nothing. They take the reservations but when it’s time to pick up the car the never have it. It has happened to me the last four times. The first time it happened I was asked to come back the next day so they could bring one from down the hill (AV location), the second time they sent me to VV location because they didn’t have one (AV), the third time they gave me a much smaller vehicle than the one reserved at the same rate (AV). Yesterday I asked the reservations person to triple check and make sure that the vehicle was going to be there and he said yes. Surprise Surprise. I am “greeted” bu Jasmine with and she tells me my vehicle is not available and that they need at least three days in advance to get one 😱. No manager on site, no offer to bring one from another location, nothing. Called Corporate just to hear that they are going to forward a complaint. Save yourself some time and avoid frustration and take your business somewhere else.

Comment: I rented a car in victorville and it got impounded. I contacted Danny on Monday after I found the car. He did not report it, therefore the car is still there since June 25, 2017. No one has attempted to get the car from the impound, therefore incurring expenses daily. I have called roadside services multiple times, and they told me it takes 3-5 days to locate and pick up the car which is ridiculous, it shouldve at least been picked up in 24 hours of notification. They are only trying to drive me into more debt while lining their pockets. You should have better business practices. You have a responsibility and duty to legislate damages within a reasonable amount of time, which no one is taking responsibility.I am going to dispute all impound fees and charges. They picked the rental up 2 weeks later and charged me $1300+ other fees. If they wouldve picked it up when I reported it, I could have afforded the total fees.

Comment: This agency is completely unreliable and unprofessional. I made a reservation a few days in advance to rent a car for a roadtrip i planned on vacation. I requested pick up service as well, and i even had my reservation confirmation email. On the day of the reservation, i get no type of courtesy call or notice. I finally pick up the phone and call them, a guy answers and immediatly places me on hold for several minutes. When he gets back i ask about my reservation, and he non-chalantly replies that they dont have a vehicle for me, but that they had three earlier which were basicly first come first serve. Mind you, they open at 8am, i called them at around 930, and my reservation was for 10am. So whats the point of making a reservation?! This was incredibly inconvenient, and threw off my plans as i had to scramble for other solutions. Youve all been warned. Stay away from this place.
