Comment: Im not a car rental person but this time we decided to rent one because we were going to LA for one night and it was only 2, my brother and I. I have a big SUV so it made sense to rent a small gas saver. While there they offered their insurance and we had decided that we didn’t need it but my husband butted in and said to just get it and it was the a good idea because While getting into LA traffic. We got rear ended at a stop sign, it wasn’t major thank God but rear end had some minor scratches. We exchanged information with the other drivers and went on our way. Next morning when I returned the car, the transaction was very professional I explained what happened and gave them the information I had collected all while making the whole situation comfortable and clear. Im a person that if I get lended something that is not mine, I’m taking care of it like if it was and I felt bad this had happened, the staff never made me feel any sorts of guilt. If I have to rent again, definitely will choose this location again for the great experience and customer service.moral of the story get that $25 insurance they offer because you just never know.

Comment: Hertz is a fairly reliable company, customer support is there but at the end of the day you still have to make do to find a solution.As regards the locations, a great chapter opens.Locations Los Angeles friendly staff, clean cars and without any kind of problems. Available to find the right price and machine together.Las Vegas location worst service ever seen in my life, cars that smell like smoke, dirty, half the size with a light that comes on as soon as you turn on the car. Not to mention the customer service at the counter, terrible. 5 hours to change a car because the previous one had a warning light on.

Comment: Ive had two reservations with this location months in advance. Being a Hertz Gold member also doesnt matter. Both times they had no vehicle for me forcing me to either change my scheduled vehicle for an electric car (which does not work when traveling across the state), make me take an SUV which makes my gas budget go way up, or flat out told me they have no vehicles. Making reservations at this location means nothing. Theyre understaffed, have no inventory to meet demand, and force you to take vehicles you didnt ask for. I feel for the lady behind the counter since shes just an employee that is just doing her best in the situation shes in and tries to work with you. I cant imagine the stress of having to tell every single person that has a reservation or that comes in for a vehicle that they have none. Hertz as a company needs to do something about this location by hiring more people and getting more cars. Dont reserve here if youre planning on being somewhere at a certain time because more than likely they wont have a vehicle for you.

Comment: Everything was great with rental and Heli helped me to get a great deal with a special promo until I returned the car and forgot to get me car charger out of the power plug. When I returned for it it was not in the car but my garage door opener was still on the visor. I forgot that too. The car wasnt cleaned yet but it was moved to a different parking area. The guy who cleans the cars and moves them should be fired. I know he kept my charger and it wasnt one of the cheap ones you get from the $ store. He disappeared right after I got there while Heli helped me look for it. We didnt find it but she offered me to keep some of the other cheap ones that other people had left but didnt care to return for.

What a shame! The guy should be fired!! But seems that there are some kind a racial policy in the company and they cannot fire the guy, what a TICK!Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the guy but I’ll be glad to describe him, if somebody from the company cares enough and will contact me.Almost forget, 9 months ago I had a very big issue with him, I don’t know if he was into something but he got to violent with me, at the point that I almost call the cops on him.I have been renting cars for over two years and I use to spend 18k$ every single year.After the issue I change my location to Fresno airport, but I change the location again because somebody told me that the girl on the front desk was very competent.But seems that what happen behind the front desk still the same.

I also got a discount, very nice people. Comment: I have rented cars from Hertz before, but I will never go there again. I reserved a car two weeks in advance, and called the week before just to confirm my reservation...I was told everything was good and ready to go. The morning of my pickup I called again to confirm and they told me that they were out of cars...mind you I had a reservation. They were waiting on cars from Fresno and would call me when there was a car available. I finally got a call 2 hours later that my car was ready. I showed up, proceeded to pay with my debit card like I had before (plus a $500 deposit on top of my rental fee). The girl behind the counter told me that they were unable to rent the car to me because I was using a debit card and there was nothing they could do. There were changes that were implemented in April and their policy was updated and they also run your credit. Not to mention the two people in front of me were waiting for cars and got denied as well. Totally ruined my trip! I was hurt by Hertz (pun intended). Luckily, I went to Express Car Rentals right next door and they took care of me and it was significantly cheaper! I will not be giving my business to Hertz ever again.

Comment: Used to rent from them a lot and never had issues however they’re awful now. They gave us the wrong car (too small), the air conditioner smelled like cat pee, and it was filthy. They promised a refund or voucher but my husband asked to speak with a supervisor and they told him they would call him back. They ended up calling at 5am and left a voicemail telling him he’s not entitled to anything because he signed the rental agreement. We had no choice because they told us they had no other cars and we obviously needed a car or we wouldn’t have rented one. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Comment: DONT WAST YOUR TIME...Just left the Hertz in the airport in Guadalajara and honestly it was multiple things wrong but was top the cake was...they were wanting to put a hold on my card for 3 thousands dollars not pesos dollars....on top of wanting me to purchase there insurance as well as not having the proper car that I had booked online...taxi was better. Keep in mind our visa has full coverage and our personal car insurance cover us in Mexico. Like most American knows that any visa will decline with out prior authorization a 3 thousand dollar deposit and I am not going to give them my debit card. We have booked multiple times with Hertz and this has never happened we have never gotten there insurance.

Comment: I have been using Avis Visalia and it’s been fairly good, hertz happens to be closer to we’re I was working last week so when my car broke last Wednesday I thought I’d try them specially since it was cheaper( or so I thought) Avis was 37 a day hertz 31, at first all seemed ok even the car had a “sanitized” seal on the driver door. I checked it on the front, it looked clean. I drove away and when I went to pick up my family I noticed the back of the car is not clean, so I guess they only “sanitize” the driver seat. Then next day the mechanic calls and said my car wouldn’t be ready at least for another day. So I called hertz and tell them I was going to be needing the car for another day or two so how do I proceed? I was told not to worry I was going to get an extension but due to thanksgiving they’d be closed for the weekend but the had express return so just return it drop the keys, then call us Monday morning and tell us when you returned it and we’ll just charge whatever days u used it for the same rate. Great! Hassle free right? Well I dropped it Saturday before due time I filled the jacket with the info and dates and thought ok 3 days 31 dlls a day that’s 93 dlls, good. I started getting calls from hertz Monday morning telling me that I better retur the car or else they’ll take legal action against me. Whatta heck!! I call them they said no to worry they’re already processing my transaction and sure enough, a few minutes later I got my receipt even with a discount!! Great!! But as I kept reading through there it comes! Late return fee 12 bucksReturn change fee 10 bucksVehicle license fee. 3 bucksTaxes. 9 bucks.Seriously! That never happened to me wit Avis! I called the 1800 number to dispute those charges. I explained all this to customer service specially the late fee since I called and ask for an extension and told her : look, it’s not a lot of money but it’s not fair and I ended up paying way more than if I had used Avis. If there’s anything you can do at least with the late fee I’ll really appreciate it, if not that’s ok. I learned my lesson an move on. She said give a minute I’ll talk to my supervisor. She play dumb for a few secs and the she said “hello sr”, I replied “yes” and she started her game “ hello sr” hello sr can you hear me? Of course I can hear you! Hello sr are you there? I was like seriously! Is this how you’re going to get out of it really?!! Hi sr are you there?... I showed my wife look! My phone is not muted it’s not on speaker check it, she’s just full of it. Then she hanged up! Nice job Hertz! Another customer lost. Not that you care or anything!

Comment: After dealing with hanford being rude I had came to visalia for my rental. They were more than helpful and gave me a military discount that hanford said wasnt possible. They got me in the car and on my was. Well I stopped fornthe first night of my trip and as I was unpacking I had noticed a clump of mud the size of my fist stuck to the sealing towards the trunk of the car. I had also cut myself of broken glass underneath the seat of the car. The were very helpful getting me the car but the overall cleanliness of the car was 100 percent unsat. If they would have done a full walk around with me these things would have been noticed.

Comment: As a gold member Im always in and out quick. I rent every 2 weeks from them and since i book minimum 3 days in advance, they guarantee I get a car. If they dont have what I booked, they upgrade me at same cost. Only in one occasion I was told there was no cars available, but that day was a last minute decision to try and rent a car, which I understand being its a small location, they have to guarantee to those who booked in advance. Second occasion I was charged for gas when my rental was given to me on empty but management took care of the credit within 3 days. Always have a good experience.

Ricky is the one who maintains the vehicles and he is really sharp as to the condition of the cars that come in and go out.It is nice renting from this facility because they remember you. Service is very good and they really care about you and the cars you are renting from them. They usually have a good selection of cars to choose from especially if you dont like the one youre assigned to you can make a change.Very easy to work with this agency. The gal there is very nice but I forgot her name.

Comment: So im not sure who to believe here.Ive made reservations twice in the past two weeks and both times the guy with the orange beard turned me away.The first time I came in and he told me my car wasnt ready and to come back at noon ... Well the store closes at noon. I get there at 12 and he tells me that the computer automatically shuts down at 12 and theres nothing I can do, not even trying to help. I had to be in LA by 3pm and completely ruined my day.This time I came back and he said he had tried to call me (lie) and that i need to call corporate and reservations within 24 hours are only if others cancel.I dont live in California and both times I came for business, I know who not to trust.I would start with replacing the staff and this store as they clearly dont have the customers best interest at heart.If that doesnt get replaced, then I would stay far far away from this store, as your chances of getting a car are slim to none and the experience is way below competitors.

Comment: This was my first time going to Hertz and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to rent a car! I booked my rental online and the price I was quoted was the price I paid. They dont try to talk you into getting other stuff you dont need. In less than 15 min I was in and out. Their after- hours drop box made it extremely convenient for me to return the vehicle, no wait time! OMG I still cant believe how easy everything was. I highly recommend this place. I do not know anyone who works here nor was paid to post this comment.

Comment: With all due respect to the agents in the Hertz rental car location in Visalia, your customer service is of the lowest customer service that I have ever experienced in a Hertz location. For example being told that a representative will call you back regarding your issues and no one calling back. Secondly, we were calling the location without anyone answering the phone from 9am -closing on Saturday, and we called numerous time. I really dont know how you stay in business treating people that way. Thank you very much.

However, the returning rental place was not open on Sundays there was an after hour charge for me to return my rental on time and the 800 number for hertz is closed on Sundays

My first impression wasnt a good one because of their location, and the building itself just wasnt all that pretty.But they make up for it in many other ways. I spent maybe 10 minutes in there, I got the car I needed at a wayyyy cheaper price than I expected. They asked very few questions.The return was just as easy/fast.I was in and out, the car was very nice well kept, and the price was unbelievable.

Comment: GINA - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICEI would submit zero stars if I could. Theres one guy in there that was nice when we picked up the truck. The next day my mother in law takes it back AT 12pm and the guy who was in there closes the door on her and wont let her in. So shes forced to put the keys in the drop box. We later notice they charged us an extra $100 for an additional day of use. There policy states that there is a 30 minute grace period so my husband and I both called the company but they wont do anything. So we have to wait until the next day to speak with the manager, Gina. She refused to do anything or help in any way. She was rude and gave me attitude. So I gave her some attitude back and asked her, So is there nothing you can do, or theres nothing you will do? She completely disregarded my question and ignored me and went on talking about the drop box again. She wouldnt give me her direct boss number and stated, Im the one who runs this place. I said, Thats sad. Okay, bye. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I have ever received. And in less that five minutes. The company itself isnt bad but this lady is unfortunately the one who runs this particular one and you can definitely notice that management isnt very good there. Coming from a mangers point since I am one as well. Employees seem very hands-tied without their manager around and the quality of this place is lacking its full potential due to this lady. I dont understand why someone works customer service and couldnt care less about making the customers happy. If there was nothing they could do and we were in the wrong then I wouldnt bother. But this lady upset me so much and it is written in their policy yet she refuses to help. Gina does not deserve to work there, let alone run the place.

If you dont fill up the tank they will charge 130 dollars to do so they also put a 200 dollar incidental hold on your card you used to pay. They never answer the phone when you call! They have horrible customer service. called corporate and they are just as rude! Go to enterprise! Hertz is the worst!!!
