Nice Ice Cream store in the rear, but I think its only open during the summer months!

2018-08-17Pretty great service! We take our boat on Torch and pull up to the docks and walk around Alden! Stopping for icecream here has been a family tradition since they started selling ice cream! And you can’t go wrong with any flavor of ice cream!I got pineapple orange and it was awesome- my only complaint would be how it says it has chunks of pineapple in it and I got 1 it my single scoop (really like 2 scoops)!My little brother- 4, got a “Superman” icecream which I totally recommend for younger kids besides vanilla. Us older kids though it had a bit of a funky taste but the little guy loved it!My sister no. 1 of the triplets got a strawberry shake and it was delicious, with creamy vanilla/strawberry tasting ice cream and some strawberry chunks.My other brother no. 2 of the triplets got deer tracks and the flavors were on point, definitely a classic for a lover of vanilla icecream and choclate chuncks and small choc. truffles. He got a baby and it was giant (a large single scoop) and even he wasn’t even able to finish it.My last brother no. 3 of the triplets got vanilla frozen yogurt and just like all the other icecreams on this list was awesome. A great and more healthy twist of the classic.So that’s my review for Higgen’s Icecream and I hope you check it out during your next Alden trip!

2019-05-26GEY ICE CREAM ELSEWHERE! BESIDES being a hundred degrees in the ice cream shop. The owner was belittleing her employees in front of us, then looked at us started mumbling and walked off. There was 15 of us. She kept saying you need to break it in groups! Were like we are mamam there a lot of us.. she got frustrated and left. We decided to just leave and go 4 doors down to boomers ice cream! AMazing people plus there were chairs for us all to sit!

2019-09-05Best known for ice cream. Serves large portion sizes so go hungry. Also store has a bit of everything. Good liquor seletions and has some craft beers

2019-07-02Went into the store and noticed that they don’t take credit cards which let us be notified by a sign which was fine, It’s a small business it’s expected and that wasn’t the problem. As me, my fiancé and my best friend were staring at the sign the young man in the back said, “you guys going to get ice cream or not.” This Just surprise me because the way he said this was in a rude manner. But we were really wanting ice cream so we came back with some money and my friend ordered first and he was the last one to get his cone. When the young man made the ice cream cone he made another comment. This ice cream cone was for my fiancé. I tried to grab it for her because her hands were full but he would not let me grab it. I mean I went to go grab the cone and he pulled the cone away from my hand, And then right after said I hope you’re not making the girl pay! I mean really! I can see if the tone was in the joking fashion but this young man had been rude the entire time we were ordering. And this is coming from someone that runs a business.

2019-07-16While Higgins does sell alcohol, the best unkept secret in all of Alden is the ice cream shoppe tucked in the back corner; the price is not for the faint-hearted, but your rich reward will exceed all your expectations!

2017-08-05Ive been vacationing near Alden for 25+ years and Higgins never lets me down. Good beer selection, good wine selection, and great ice cream!
