Comment: Raouls customer service was top notch. When a Niro Hybrid that I was interested in was sold, Raoul proactively called me a few weeks later to let me know when another car was coming in. I had purchased the car at another dealership but the car was defective and the sales experience was horrific, so Raouls proactive communication was timely and appreciated. We ended up finalizing the transaction in ~2 hours or less and left with a great deal on a solid car. He even proactively scheduled our first service, introduced us to the service manager, and gave us a tour of the service center. Raoul even followed up to check in the next day! Highly recommend working with Raoul at Hilltop Kia.

Good thing Id only called for basic information and didnt actually need to purchase anything because I assume if the front desk of this entire dealership (a.k.a. the face of a company) could speak to me the way they did, why should I expect otherwise from anyone who was actually of sales, service, parts, or even management level. Comment: Just bought our second kia from Hilltop yesterday, this time a Sorento hybrid. After speaking to multiple dealers in the Bay Area, I should have just trusted my last experience with Hilltop and saved time by just going with them from the start.... but that is not my nature(slightly ocd). Moe sold us our telluride in 2020 and that experience was easy, I had no regrets at all. This time was no different. Had the car I wanted and we discussed the deal before I even got there. Just a quick test drive and it was paperwork time! Moe made the process enjoyable and quick. No hard upsell or questionable charges, everything upfront and clear. I was driving away in an hour and 45 min, there was a delay but that was an issue on my end. The gentleman in finance was no different(apologies for not remembering his name.....AJ?), everything clear, no hard upsell and he was very pleasant to speak with. Car was washed and gassed up and I was on my way. If you are looking for a vehicle I would start with Hilltop and Moe and Id bet youll end up doing business with them. Ill add a picture shortly

Not only did he help me, and was super diplomatic, but he also had one of his employees, for free, take me for a test drive to make sure there was nothing wrong with my car...for free. The guy who drove me, Norm, was also wonderful, knowledgeable, kind and super smartI met with Marco Lopez and Hector Serrano, both of whom work in parts. They were smart, really kind, respectful, and took extra time to help me. Just wonderful experience, would recommend to anyone!

Sales manager Michael was very aggressive towards us after the staff scratched the car, he refused to offer compensation or assistance. He laughed at me multiple times, and later on shouted at me ”I won’t talk to you anymore!”. He lost his temper and was unable to control his emotions. Not to mention his face turned red and he claimed my blood pressure is rising because of you!. I had to tell him to calm down multiple times because he was overly hostile.4. It is really unfair for us that the dealership scratched the car after the purchase and then the sales manager laughed at us, while being aggressive and condescending. What is so funny about our new car being scratched after payment? Please tell me. We saved years to buy this car and we were excited to purchase our first new car, but he completely ruined that experience. We didn’t do anything wrong and yet he treated us so poorly! Lewis felt bad for us and proposed a couple reasonable solutions but Michael rejected all of them. Zero compromise, no apology and very hostile responses. This is very unprofessional, a sales manager should de-escalate a situation rather than humiliating the customers. We felt extremely uncomfortable and we left the dealership feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.Two weeks later - other people at the dealership helped fixed the scratch, not 100% perfect as you can still see the damages up close. We believe they have tried their best. The other people (especially Jose) at the dealership were nice and helpful with fixing the car, but the experience with Michael was so hurtful and humiliating we cant recommend this dealership to anybody.

They did no know how to fix a Veloster N and their reason was “Its a New Car” They never fixed the issue and I returned the car and the bank paid me back all my money.

Comment: Came in to buy a 2023 KIA Sorento Hybrid. The dealership is a KIA/Ford which is a bit confusing as they have separate buildings but mainly work out of the larger Ford one. My initial scheduling and introduction was with JC who was fast and friendly, but as they became busy had Terrance work with me. From start to finish they kept the interactions smooth and low pressure. It just kinda flowed easily. There was a bit of a slow down thru finance even though we were cash buyers, but on a less hectic day I think you could be out of there in under 2 hours. Side Note: there is a great lounge area where your kids can play while you supervise while watching the game on TV. All in all our experience was good and we will be back if we get a third KIA.

Comment: This was the worst service experience with car dealers I’ve ever had in my life. I came to KIA Hilltop, Richmond by the appointment for a regular oil change of my 2018 KIA Niro at 55k miles. The car has some small issues and since it is still under Kia warranty, I decided to report them to a service man. He told me that each my warranty request required a minimum one day (I had like 4 warranty questions) of technician attention and if the defect will not be considered as a manufacturer defect, I have to pay for the time they spend to check my car. I was shocked, as I never heard that I have to pay money just for checking the problem on a warranty car. This is not my first car, I had many of them in my life and I never had such an experience before. Other dealers like Toyota, Honda, Nissan always agree to check my car and tell me whether it can be repaired under the warranty or not. Then, I could make a decision by myself whether to invest the money in my car or not. I tried to argue with the service man but he could do nothing. Finally, I asked just to change the oil. But had to rethink doing this after I was announced the price of oil change from KIA, about $170. Comparing to other prices in the area, which are around $70-80, it seems unreasonably high. So, KIA is not a nice customer-oriented company. I’m not gonna buy KIA cars anymore. Before buying KIA car I recommend to think about your warranty service first.

We had originally asked to be put on the list to order a Telluride October 2020 and found out the list was quite long due to the popularity and scarcity of the vehicle. We were willing to wait the approximately 9 months to get the car at MSRP as we were not immediately in need of a new car. Moe was recommended by several people on an online Telluride forum and after communicating with him regularly over the waiting period I can see why. He was always quick to respond and informative. When we heard the car was finally going to be delivered we met him for the first time. Our experience at the dealership was streamlined and helpful. Moe was very thorough in explaining all the features of our new Telluride. For my first experience buying a new car this was quite painless, though Im sure that was helped by having an appointment set up and an already agreed upon price. Thanks so much Moe!

Comment: I picked up my 2021 Telluride from this dealership las Friday. I was looking for a new suv ride that has lots of space and test drove a few. I fell in love with the new telluride and found out that its the top one pick from the car and driver magazine. Most Kia dealership took advantage of this and started marking prices above MSRP anywhere from $3,000 - $12,000. The Hilltop Kia is the only one I have found so far that doesnt do the mark up.I have nothing but good comments. The sales rep Moe has been tremendously helpful. Quick to respond with texts and very reliable with all my questions. He even followed up the next day.Great job Moe! Pls continue to do what youre doing. You are a great example of what a true and honest salesman should be. More power to you and Hilltop Kia.

Comment: I did not end up buying a car from Hilltop but it had absolutely nothing to do with the dealer. I wanted to write this review because of the terrific customer serviced I got from their Internet Sales Manager, Lewis Belt. Unlike several other dealers I called, Lewis was a no BS kind of guy who wasnt trying to hard sell me anything. He gave me his best price without a lot of the usual stuff one has to put up with when buying a car, and was incredibly helpful. When it turned out they just didnt have the car I was looking for, he didnt try to sell me another vehicle but was very gracious and understanding of my decision. The next time I need to buy a car, Lewis Belt and Hilltop Kia will be the very first place I go. Thank you Lewis for that rare enjoyable experience when trying to buy a car.

Comment: Truthfully, a disappointing experience, especially given the excellent Google reviews. I test drove a Kia Niro and accidentally left my purse in the back of the car. I returned the next morning, but the sales representative rudely told me it was not there after thoroughly checking the car. I returned inside after peering through the car window myself, fortunately locating my purse.Either the sales rep checked the wrong car, which I understand would be an honest mistake, or he lied and did not look through the car. Based on his dismissive attitude, my guess is the latter.Upon a second arrival, three representatives were in the room — the same representative did not even acknowledge my presence. He was on the phone with a second client. I would have appreciated if one of the other reps helped me instead. Yet the second rep told me he could not help me because he didn’t have the keys. The third rep did not even try to assist me. After waiting for quite some time and feeling like an utter inconvenience, the second representative said — with total disdain — that he could unlock the car from the inside. I went outside to open the car by myself and left the dealership.I toyed with the idea of returning inside to express my dissatisfaction with the service, but ultimately decided it would be a complete waste of my time.You’d think that the dealership would put more effort into the human component of business — rather than merely exploiting their clients for profit. Particularly during a pandemic, it is sad to see that three sales representatives lack basic empathy and do not take the time to help an existing client locate her purse, which had valuables inside.In sum, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am disappointed, particularly given the reputable online reviews and the fact that I was looking to replace my original Kia. I’m sure you have have excellent sales reps readily available. But given my hostile experience, I will not be returning. I hope that my review helps to drive your workflow forward in prioritizing fundamental human connection with future clients — rather than solely focusing on monetary gain.

Comment: Raoul was my rep and I am thrilled with my purchase, a Kia Forte GT line, both the car and the whole experience.It started with an inquiry to the website, then a phone call from Raoul, some emails back and forth centered around the forte lease promo mentioned on the site vs the extra taxes, and finally pulling the trigger after I realized they were the most competitive in price in addition to their strong reputation. Their reviews are well deserved.The sales manager is a really chill guy who you could tell took legitimate satisfaction in me being able to get a deal on a great car. This thing is sweet. Really nice styling extras on the GT line. I immediately bought a bunch of car wash related items to encourage me to keep it sparkling as it deserves.

I reached out on a Monday let him know what car I wanted & how much I wanted to put down. I knew what car I wanted. I was skeptical at first because I had previously dealt with a different dealership trying to do over the phone dealings and it was a mess. We agreed on a deal that Monday evening. I told him I would be up there Wednesday if he can hold the car for me, which he did. Got there Wednesday Raul had a new deal for me which was even cheaper then the deal we agreed upon. That was without me even asking. Everything was seamless I was in & out in no time with the car I wanted, with the deal I wanted! I spoke with several local Bay Area dealers and all of them were marking up MSRP anywhere from $3k-$7K due to the level of demand.I was ready to put down a deposit with a dealer when I received an email from Moe at Hilltop Kia which clearly stated in the subject line No mark up. I have one available.I reached out to Moe but thought this was going to be some kind of bait-and-switch approach. But Moe was no nonsense over the phone. He described to me the two Tellurides that were being delivered to the dealership within the next few weeks. He quickly followed up by emailing me the window stickers for each vehicle. Again, I questioned him about the dealer mark-up above MSRP. He assured me that there was no mark-up. I came down later that day to put down a $1000 deposit. That process took 10-15 minutes. It gave me the opportunity to meet Moe and one of the dealers Finance Managers, Noel Ong, in person. They were both friendly and straightforward. It was refreshing.As I waited for my Telluride to arrive at Hilltop Kia, I went back to the previous dealers I spoke with and shared that Moe was not marking up the MSRP. They were in disbelief and they refused to come down to the MSRP. Further, they emphasized that I would likely pay for it on the back end via warranties, maintenance plans, upsells, etc.Less than two weeks later, I received a text from Moe with a photo of my Telluride sitting on the dealer lot. I went down to pick it up and fully expected Moe to upsell me on an extended warranty plan or a maintenance package. None of that. He just asked me the following:1) Are you leasing or purchasing?2) How long of a term?3) How much are you putting down?3) Do you want to take a cash rebate or go with a lower interest rate?4) Are you interested in an extended warranty or maintenance package? If so, which one?There was no pressure from Moe or his team to steer me into a specific product. I think it helped that I basically knew how I wanted to structure the deal beforehand. Moe respected that. He didnt push it and he didnt waste my time. We got through that portion in less than 30 min.From there I just had to complete the title, transfer & registration paperwork with the Finance team. This process was really the only negative part of my experience. Unfortunately, there was only one finance person working that day and there were four other buyers in front of me. I waited a LONG TIME just waiting to get the paperwork completed. While Moe could have gone home, he stuck around through the completion of the paperwork to thank me and send me off.Despite that, I still had a great experience with Moe at Hilltop Kia. He was professional, straightforward, not pushy, and he respected my time (and my preferences). I would highly recommend Moe to my friends & family and I would certainly do business with him again. He stood out in comparison to the other dealers I was speaking with. Highly recommended!

We all know how it can be walking into a dealership or auto-service and feeling like they’re trying to get over on you. Especially women. But! That was definitely not the case here. My experience was absolutely positive! Manny offered to get a rental for me for the day or to pick it up later if I needed it should they have kept my car overnight. I didn’t end up needing a rental, but he was kind enough to offer. I presented a coupon to Manny when I went to pick up my car and he was able to apply it (& a bit more) to my total. Everything happened so quick! I got a tune-up and 7 recalls (don’t know how that happened) done all during business hours.

We live 3 hours North of the dealership, and I was taking my son to the hospital for three days at Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital. Not only did she provide me with the best deal (out of six other Northern California dealers from Stockton to Redding) but she overnighted all the necessary paperwork to my husband and included an envelope to overnight it back. All I had to do was drop my trade in off and pick up my new Telluride. She even had the aftermarket trailer hitch, wiring harness, and overhead cross bars ordered and installed! She literally did all of this in three days! When I picked up my new Telluride it was even washed and had a full tank of gas!She was so kind, thorough, and very efficient.Thank you for making the process so seamless.

I started off coming here just to service my trusty Kia Soul. Later I was contacted by Varsi and Ben, and they offered me a trade in offer for my car. My experience dealing with this team was amazing. They treated me with respect and were extremely patient with me (Im a really stubborn buyer). They didnt actually have the car I wanted to they didnt hesitate to get one delivered so I could actually see it. Ben was awesome throughout the entire process and gave an awesome deal on my new car.
