Comment: The parking at 52 needs to be expanded and re-done if they are going to have everyone stay there. The lower rooms at 52 were musty. No elevator and the stairs can be a challenge with roller boards and suitcases. Nice location.

Comment: We stayed here as a family to visit Legoland and it was a nice change of pace from the Legoland hotels. Our room had a patio that led out to grass so the kids could run around and have fun. The room was large and clean. Both the sofa bed and the king size bed were comfortable. The private entrance to Legoland was a huge plus for us.

Comment: Every time I go there, I have some of the employees just watching and watching and watching taking pictures of the car standing next to a post hiding and looking what is wrong with being a return client will let me tell you what it isOnce you buy their club, you’re not welcome there they take your money they send you bills for taxes you pay the taxes there’s more taxes and then after that is more taxes but when you want to use the club, you cannot use it because you might reserve the room like I did for four days And without any reason they canceled the rooms so basically I paid and paid I paid more than $15,000 took my money I received literally nothing but harassment and to be a Gold or diamond have to be there. Use the rooms like 60 times a year but if you go twice and they already know you, they gonna harass you because they don’t want you there they just want new people coming in so they can sell the club and take their money and run. There are criminals, you’re going through this too. Please contact us. I am suingthem.

Comment: Ive stayed here many times, usually enjoy my trip but not this time. Room was a mess, toilet didnt flush, doors had holes in them, dishes were dirty, ice maker was broken in fridge. House keeping said take your time leaving the room. Hours after we left, hotel called to tell me theyre changing me 100 for a late check out, they also charged me for parking when Im a Hilton owner. Went to speak to the front desk and the manager was very rude. Ill add photos to the Google pics of the hotel.

Comment: We were in a two bedroom unit on the second floor with a view over to Legoland. Stayed for a week. Everything was just fine. There is a free shuttle service around the property and a free ride-share service in to Carlsbad. Dining on-site was very good, accommodations were quite nice and service was also good. We look forward to returning to this property.

Comment: We stayed here for a trip in January when my husband traveled here for work. It wasnt very busy in January and so I was able to pick any seat at the pool and relax. They have a gym facility with a good bit of work out options. The resort had some construction going on, but it wasnt noisy nor an inconvenience. The rooms were clean and nice. The only fuss was the concierge woman badgering us to come and get the discounts around town. We werent ready to do it at the time and told her so. She then took our ticket to be able to get it later. I guess you only have one chance to get said discounts and its immediately after checking in. The resort has an entrance to LegoLand, which is super cool.

Comment: We stayed here for 3 days and the lights in our bathroom would not stay on. We called the front desk everyday and requested a fix and each time we were told they would send someone but it was never taken care of. Its not the best feeling when taking a shower or using the bathroom and the lights turn off and on all by themselves. They also tried to charge us more than they were supposed to, thankfully we noticed it and it was taken care of.The location was fine. Its a little over a 30 minute drive to San Diego in light traffic.

Comment: I wanted to enjoy this resort as much as I enjoy some of the other Hilton vacation club resorts but it just doesn’t meet the expectation. I was charged for parking when I didn’t have a car. They credited my account right away but it never should have been charged so review your bill thoroughly. When we arrived, the shuttle that took us to our room did NOT help with our bags. He said he has a bad back and could not help but could drop us off in the parking lot. Mind you I’m a solo female traveling with a child so no help was given and I had to carry our suitcases upstairs as there were no elevators in our building. And lastly, there are NO restaurants on the property. There is a small poolside cafe but it was closed the days I was there. Rooms were nice but the resort lacks the very basic things needed like luggage assistance and dining options.

Comment: I booked my son and his wife last March 10-13, 2024, at a villa for them and me (I stayed at Cape Rey) to see what HGV offers before I buy a timeshare with Hilton. I am totally disappointed as the facilities and the particular villas fair amenities (outlets working on & off), service (cleaning only if guests are staying 5 days or more) and lack of ambiance are not worth the $26,000 I have to pay for a timeshare. I am in the market for timeshare, but I will pass on this one. I am only giving this HGV location a 3 star (it should be 2 star) because of the professionalism of Raul who was very professional in presenting and convincing us to buy an HGV timeshare.And this is my honest and unbiased review.

Comment: We were invited for a weekend at Marbrisa as a potention Timeshare owner. The staff is very professional and polite. The main facility is elegant and the pool area is very nice, but we were set up in a standard studio that had no kitchen. The toaster and half of the dishes were dirty, and there was no maid service. The one bedroom that we were shown during the tour was very nice, but there are so few Hilton Grand Vacation locations that the Timeshare ownership program didnt make much sense.The only place onsite to eat is at the pool and it is only open from Noon to 6pm, and there is no other options for meals or snacks. There are some nearby restaurants, but the better ones are down in San Diego or up in the L.A. area. It looked like a nice, quiet place for families, and couples wanting an escape from the chaos of big city life. Not really our speed.

Comment: Just an awesome place. Great rooms and a great pool area with three hot tubs, ping pong, cabanas, etc. Very nicest. Not a far drive to the ocean and near Legoland. Parking is tighter and it was hard to find parking right in front of our building. Staff at the front desk were great. Needed some more coffee and someone showed up at our room with it within 20 minutes. There are frogs in the field next to us, they will serenade you all night.

Comment: Stayed for two $300 per night at New Year weekend but very disappointed to their Front Desk and Management. Both lack of contact and didn’t fulfill what they promised, they only want to show they care in the chat message but in reality, they didn’t make it happened.As a Hilton Diamond member I understand the room upgrades is upon availability, and especially it’s a TIME SHARE property, member level isn’t important anymore. Sorry but this is exactly what I felt when Front Desk explained to me about my Diamond Member benefit. There was more details that I have written in the survey so I’m not going to address here again. Unfortunately, I wasn’t available when the management call so they would send me a follow up email, which never happened. Exactly the same protocol and attitude as Front Desk.Those easy little things could really ruin the whole experience. Nevertheless, there is no meaning to stay in this Hilton if you are here for the shortcut to LEGOLAND, there is Sheraton or Westin nearby which breakfast are included. For future plan to LEGOLAND, with an over $300 nightly budget, I’ll definitely stay with the park’s, which also supplies EV Charging.

I received a call from Hilton Grand Vacations claiming to offer me a steeply discounted vacation package and citing my recent stay at Marbrisa. They told me I needed to pay immediately via CC to secure the package and used high pressure sales tactics to try to get me to commit. I sure hope this was a scam unaffiliated with Hilton, but until I can confirm that I’ll assume my information was shared with their sales people to try to get me to commit to a time share. This has completely damaged my perception of Hilton properties.Note that I really enjoyed my stay; no complaints! Not sure what happened with my information though.

Comment: No ApplePay. No smart TV/DVD player/stick. Universal remote doesn’t allow you to change the input anyway. Moldy clear silicone on the bottom of the frameless shower door. Coffee machine didn’t work and they only give you enough for 3 days anyway. I was there for 5 nights. Switched to the electric kettle and used the one tea bag. Events are loud; servers and bartenders breaking down events at 11:30pm is worse. Booming as they load the trailer. Kids are screaming at 6am. Beds are in major need for an update. Mattresses have dips in them where everyone else has slept. The bathroom is a montage of chrome, brushed nickel, and satin nickel.Oh and the front office manager can’t count. 5 nights. You only get housekeeping once - in the middle of your stay. Easy enough, right? 2 days and 2 nights on either end. However, he said my day was after my 3rd night on my 4th day? I’m practically leaving at that point. Overall, it makes sense that such a gorgeous property can only charge $170/night.

Comment: This is the third time Ive stayed at this Hilton Grand Vacations. But this is the first time I noticed the beautiful pools, hot tubs, fire pits and cabanas in the Cove Neighborhood. The sunset seen from the pools was beautiful. There are also activities that you can participate. A shuttle goes around this resort, the Westin and the Sheraton.I picked the Cove Neighborhood primarily because the buildings have elevators. The check-in service was good. Information was explained well to me. I especially like the texting feature with the Front Desk versus calling and being put on hold in the old days. When I reported an issue with the couch cushions they actually offered to replace them right away.The location is right next to Legoland. There is a special path that the guests can walk to Legoland directly from the resort.The Carlsbad Premium Outlets, Costco and the Flower Fields are close by.We went to Encinitas which is about 15 minutes south to visit the San Diego Botanical Gardens. There are many retail shops and eateries in that area also.Theres also the Carlsbad Village that we didnt visit this time. And of course there are many points of interest in San Diego further south. You can check out Trip Advisor for places to visit, even the lesser known places.If you ever want to check out the Hilton Grand Vacations ownership, you can sign up for their viewing tours. Youll be rewarded with some goodies in return.My trip this time was pleasant. I plan to return in the near future.

Comment: The rooms were nice and clean. Service friendly at check in/out. (Note: checkout is 10am, not 11am) I only stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. No simple market in lobby for bottled water or soda or coffee or some mints. No food or dining options. None. They do provide a 15% discount card to dine across the street at Sheraton or Westin. No housekeeping unless staying past 5 days. In trying to be a “green” property, and conserving energy, the light in the bathroom turns on by motion sensor, along with a fan. However, it would not turn off when I went to sleep, and had to shut the bathroom door. (Not saving energy, eh) I contacted the front desk, via text, and was told the fan turns on to pull excess moisture in the bathroom. What moisture, the water from washing my hands? I guess if you want to come here with your kids, swim in the pools and go to Legoland, it’s for you. Make sure you go into town for basic groceries. As a Hilton Honors member, fairly average property. Certainly not a 5 star hotel. Basically a time share/vacation club property they offer rooms to book like a hotel. . Only reason I booked was other family members staying here. And short distance to wedding venue. Overall 3 stars.

Comment: The room was nice and clean. Everything was perfect until the ac went out overnight 2 days into our stay . I was dismayed by the lack of concern and urgency displayed by the staff. The maintenance person they first sent to our room suggested several things for me to do to fix the issue. Really? It was 4:30 a.m. We had already been up for hours. The 2nd person they sent at least offered a fan. I had to go to the front desk to ask to be moved after he confirmed it wasnt a quick fix. Maybe, as owners, we are overlooked because HGV already has our money? I hope not.Words can not describe how disappointed we are. Now comes HGV response of how they are sorry to hear we had an unfortunate issue arise and to contact them to make it better. Comment: I loved staying here with my wife and 6 year old daughter. The location is perfect. You can walk to Legoland through a private entrance. Our room was spotless. No carpets which was a plus. All laminate flooring. The staff was extremely courteous and very helpful. The pool area was very extensive with three heated pools. A few large Jacuzzis. I would definitely stay here again and again. 10/10!

We enjoyed the room, the comfortable bed, the location with walking trails in the vicinity, how quiet it was, and the gym. The resort itself didnt have good food options which was fine. My main issue that made me really mad was the hot tub discolored two of my bathing suits. I didnt realize it until getting home. So be aware that your expensive bathing suit might get ruined here and maybe bring a cheap one just for the hot tub.

Comment: Great place to chill out for a few days. Especially if you have children because this location is walking distance to Legoland. I can see and hear the kids on the roller coaster at Legoland from my balcony. And Safariland to see wild animals is not far from here. The San Diego Zoo is nearby, along with Mission Bay. The friendly beach town of Encinitas made me a constant visitor. My room was nice and clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful. This hidden facility is located near the beach. Carlsbad can be easily missed driving to or from San Diego via the 5 freeway. I highly recommend coming and staying a few days! Have fun!

Comment: My family and I stayed here during spring break. Check in was great but when we went to our room and went outside to check out the patio we were met with a sea of cigarette butts at least 20-30 of them. I called the front desk and they sent someone right away to clean them up but no more than 5 minutes after cleaning them up the person upstairs let started dropping the cigarettes once again. Day 2, we woke up and there was another 20-30 cigarette butts on the grass and had to call the front desk to clean them up again. I think after the second time of calling and letting them know my child ran out to grab one finally let the front desk realize they should say something to the person upstairs who was smoking constantly! Unfortunately we were unable to use the patio and grass area to let our girls run around the entire stay. Overall the room was good, it was clean and the proximity to Legoland was great. However, if you are a light sleeper or not used to thin walls and floors I would look somewhere else or a different floor. We could hear everything happening upstairs, and I mean everything. At one point I had to call for ear plugs, my two kids who sleep like rocks even complained about the noise! If I was to return I would ask for the top floor!

Housekeeping was supposed to come by midway through my time here and were 2 days late, even after requesting them to come. Coffeemaker was in hallway for first few days I was here. Theres no privacy out the patio, workers walk by and dont even seem to be working. Activities like karaoke at night get cancelled due to the weather when it rains in the morning. Really bad experience here. Never coming back.

Comment: Our stay at this HGV location was great from the time we checked in until the time we checked out. The staff was friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and the property was beautiful. Our suite was clean and spacious, even bigger than we had anticipated. We had everything we could need in the kitchen from eating utensils to a blender and each room (including the bathrooms) was a nice, accommodating size. There were seven of us in the suite and nobody felt cramped or as if we were on top of each other. The biggest plus was that we were walking distance from Legoland (the purpose of our trip to San Diego) and the villa we stayed in was just a few steps from the path that led to the secret back entrance. In addition to that, shopping (Carlsbad Premium Outlets) and dining (both fast food and dine-in) options are within a very short distance, like less than 5 miles.I wish our stay could have been longer. Our suite felt like a true home away from home. This location will definitely be our first choice for future visits and I highly recommend this location for families visiting Legoland or just looking to get away. We unfortunately didnt get to experience all of the amenities (such as the pool area which is accessible to guests even after checkout) this location has to offer, but we will be back and will surely take advantage.

To access the sink in the bathroom one had to enter the bathroom and then close the door. Very little water pressure from the bathroom sink but the kitchen and shower were fine.The exterior of the resort looked very nice but then again the Motel 6 across the freeway exterior also looked fine.Asked to change rooms but was told the resort was sold out. Could not help but notice lots of parking places available though. Comment: I was sold a *vacation package* from Hilton Grand Vacations as a result my Hilton Honors Status and unwavering dedication to the Hilton Brand. The package required me to pay $250 and dedicate some time to a Timeshare meeting in exchange for a 3 night stay at Hilton Grand Vacations Club MarBrisa Carlsbad with a one bedroom and kitchen.Booking the package was next to impossible because all the dates that I was able to go (5 times over the course of a year were recommended) I was told that they would not be able to accommodate me for the dates selected. When I asked which dates they could accommodate, they couldnt tell me that either.When I finally got it scheduled, I invested further money into airfare, car rental, eating out and so on. When I arrived, they had set up my stay at a Hampton Inn that had ants, a filthy property and in no way was a resort, nor was I in a one bedroom with a kitchen, so I had to eat out for all meals. I had planned on cooking some meals while on vacation.When I reported this issue to personnel onsite, they said there is nothing they can do.Hilton Grand Vacations is selfishly doing a bait and switch with their most valued customers and not looking back. I would not trust Hilton Grand Vacations in any way for any business transaction, let alone a time share real estate transaction.They are investing in horrible outcomes for their prized customers and I suspect after decades of being a Hilton Honors Customer I will be switching to Marriott going forward with all my business and personal lodging.HILTON GRAND VACATION PERSONNEL: How would you feel if you invested in the vacations package, airfare, car rental, dining out, gas and entertainment expenses, knowing that a fun resort experience lies ahead and you get stuffed into a Hampton Inn with ants, a filthy pool and a AWFUL VACATION?

Will miss them, for sure!Location is relatively good, easy to get to San Diego and is quite near to all Carlsbad has to offer.That said, the walls are paper thin. We had neighbours where every night we were privileged to hear every single conversation they had. Including every cry from the child, every iteration of the ABCs, and every bit of clitter-clatter of cutlery.The pool itself is good, needs some maintenance concerning stone chipping, etc.The parking is simple, though naturally it costs extra.Electrical is typ. 110V but reduced Amps.Rooms were fine, for a 1 (or maybe 2) star hotel. It did have a kitchen with a bottle opener!Should cost at most $110 a night, wouldnt suggest staying for more than $75-89, anything about $125 is worth looking elsewhere.

Floors and bathroom were so dirty: old blood on the shower curtain, fixtures were old and falling apart, smelled dirty and musty.First night we woke up with a broken a/c and had to have maintenance come in the room while our kids were sleeping. Very disappointing, but it was fixed.We had an unexpected housekeeper enter the room without knocking. Comment: I travel allot with work and have always enjoyed Hilton until last weekend where my wife and I visited the MarBrisa in Carlsbad for my birthday weekend.When booking my stay I was not informed that the resort was a family resort full of kids running and splashing in every pool and hot tub as well as jumping and stomping on the floor above our room. We were also informed of a check in time of 3pm but no later than 4pm so we made arrangements to go see a 6pm show that evening for my birthday which we never made because we didn’t get into our room until 5 and didn’t have enough time to get ready.Being only a 3 night stay we were told that house keeping would not be provided yet on day 2 we were surprised by the entrance of an uninvited housekeeper when I was nude and getting ready for a shower. Remember to use the locks on your door here.Lastly the tour of the facility was scheduled from 12 - 130 and we weren’t brought back until 1245 making a very late lunch and waste of our personal vacation time.Otherwise the facility was nice and the staff was polite. I feel I need a vacation after my vacation weekend.

Comment: This place is probably fine for most families but here are some things I noticed.As soon as I entered, there was a used sock in the middle of the floor in the bedroom. This tells me cleaning is likely sub par if previous guests clothing is still present.I could hear my neighbor breathing. Not snoring loudly, just breathing as if they were in the room with me.The grounds are pretty and the location was close to where I needed to be. Parking space wasnt an issue but it does come at a cost not included in the room price (this is normal for most hotels).I didnt mention anything to the staff because I generally dont let anyone touch my room once I check-in. Other reviews mention cleanliness issues so I generally let it go unless something really disturbing comes up.Would I stay here again? Probably not. The Westin is right across the parking lot.

I stayed here to help my daughter settle in to her new apartment as this is her new Navy tour of duty in San Diego. Initially, our room was poorly cleaned however, Sarah and Syna the Director and Assistant Director of housekeeping ensured that it was recleaned and several niceties were added to make us comfortable and feel cared for as Elite members of the Hilton family. Bri was so friendly and personable during our stay as well. I would certainly return here as the location is ideal and well accessible to all festivities. There is ample parking and a shuttle to get you around the grounds. The grounds are well kept and the staff is friendly. The grounds could use better signage and more directions for the restaurants and different buildings. Overall it’s a lovely place to visit.

Comment: The pool/recreation area at this resort is very nice. Two large pools plus a water slide in one. They are slightly heated to be comfortable. There are ping pong tables, foos ball, jacuzzi, and a poolside bar where you can get drinks and food. The rooms are nice and have everything you need in the kitchen. It is located on the hill just above Legoland. Maybe thats why they charge $25 per day for parking. The exhaust fan in the small bathroom of the studio unit stays on 24/7. Its not loud or irritating, just weird that you cant turn it off. They said its to control a build up of moisture. I guess they dont trust the guests to remember to turn it on when they take a shower. Other than that it was a very nice week in a great location.

With 5 of us travelling (my wife and 3 children) we need a lot of room so we booked a two bedroom suite and it was perfect, with more than enough room and all the amenities you could want. The staff was super friendly and professional and we really felt at home. A special shout out to the lady that runs the activity center and leads the morning hikes. She was the greatest! My family really enjoyed some of the art activities that she offered and I was really impressed by her knowledge of the local flora and fauna as she pointed out various interesting bits of information as she led the morning nature hikes. The food was great both at the Cove bar and when the wife and I wanted something a little more upscale the Restaurant at the Westin (which was only a two minute walk from our room) was fantastic. Id just like to thank the staff for making our stay so special and in particular Ms. Megan Connor the GM who makes it all happen.

Dont expect to come here and have a quiet room... walls are thin and this a family resort that is loud. Comment: My family loved the pools and hot tubes at The Hilton MarBrisa in Carlsbad! We also enjoyed all of the activities by the pools (ping pong tables, pool table, foosball, etc.) We had a 2 bedroom suite that was a little outdated vs the two newer properties that weve stayed at in Orlando, but the pool area made up for that. Everyone that worked there was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the pool had lunch and dinner hours, but it was a very limited menu. It was fine while we were swimming and lounging by the pool, but we enjoyed several restaurants near the resort each night for dinner. If you care about a washer and dryer in your room, I would suggest calling the resort in advance and inquiring if your room has one. We stayed on the main level in the Cove neighborhood and we didnt have a set in our room, but there was a laundry room not too far away that was usually available when we needed it.

We were placed on the third floor in our tower, no elevator so I had to carry my luggage pieces up 2 flights of stairs. Kind of a bummer since we have rolling pieces due to my husbands veteran disability. The room was clean, but there were items in need of repair, the bathroom tissue roll kept falling to the floor from loose hardware at the wall. The shower was leaking and there was a really annoying green light on the smoke detector in our suite. Somewhat disappointed since we travel exclusively with Hilton. Maybe time to broaden our horizons.

There was a really strange smell in the room, but we did not spend enough time in the room to get it fixed. The slide is only for those who are 48 inches are taller. I wasnt too happy that we didnt find out until actually trying to get on the slide. I wasnt trying to sneak a baby on it. My child is almost 7 and almost at 48 inches but not quite, and I had mostly chosen the hotel because he had such a fun time on the Sheraton slide, which is across the way. However, their slide closes in October.

The woman who runs the center is very nice and accommodating. We did a variety of activities and all the staff were very nice and personable. Honestly, I stayed at a Hilton property at the beginning of the month and I had a horrible experience so I was pretty hesitant about staying at another Hilton property but this place made up for it. The rooms were very spacious and the pool at the Cove is big and didnt feel crowded at all. Definitely a plus during Covid times. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

However, the resort seemed understaffed and the public fire pit and areas around the Cove pool often had trash and leftover cups and dishes from previous guest who did not clean up their area. There was also at least one person smoking something very strong near our unit every day despite the strict no smoking policy. It is still our favorite timeshare, although we were disappointed in the lack of cleanliness in public spaces on this visit.

They have rooms that are connected (A and B) which is very convenient for families! Comment: My family and friends stayed here for my brothers wedding in Carlsbad, CA and it was beautiful. The rooms are large and spacious. We had family from New Jersey, Texas, Columbia, and Missouri stay here and everyone talked about how they loved their rooms and the resort. The resort is huge and spacious so those that wanted to gather and mingle could and those that wanted privacy and alone time were also able to have that without having to hide. We took full advantage of the pool/bar as well as the gathering places around the resort that offered a fire pit and tables for us to sit and enjoy one anothers company. Lego land is a walk away as well as fun activities that the resort offers for kids and families. If you looking to plan a big group event I would highly recommend the Hilton Marbrisa!!!

Comment: As a Gold Honors member, this is my first and hopefully last time for getting the “back of the bus” treatment from Hilton. Before our arrival, my wife confirmed multiple times and requested one of three simple options: Third floor in any building or a sunset view or a pool view. We had a pool view confirmed the night before our arrival. But at check-in, we were downgraded to the BASEMENT of the oldest building in the resort in the corner of the property . Our view was the asphalt roof of the industrial neighbors. The bathroom had a light that was out over the bathtub; and the TV remote control batteries were dead and there were no premium movie channels. The coffee in the room was old and tasted like cardboard. Granted, most of these our little things but Hilton is known for getting the details right.To get alcohol drinks at the Cove by the pool, we were required to buy bad quality bar food at high resort prices. We would have spent more on alcohol if we were not forced to eat terrible food. The 90 minute timeshare pitch lasted 2 and half hours. If you’re going to sell me, roll out the red carpet treatment and show me value! Instead, this team demonstrated little care in the small things, little value in their service and little value for their prospects.

Comment: MarBrisa is a nice, condo-style resort in Carlsbad, California. If youre lucky, you might get an ocean view, although the ocean is a good distance away from the shoreline. The condos are furnished with adequate and modern conveniences although they are decorated a bit sparsely. The resort offers the usual pool, sauna, and gym, facilities found at these types of properties. There are two decent restaurants on the property. Like all HGV resorts, they will tend to bug you a little bit about buying a club membership, enhancing your existing club membership or investing in additional memberships, but they usually back off respectfully when you firmly, but respectfully decline.

Comment: We were really disappointed with our stay. The common areas are really nice. The bathroom was spacious with a deep tub and a big shower. However, our room was not handicap accessible (my wife has a bum knee but even for me, taking luggage up and down a flight of stairs is unpleasant). Unlike what we were told when we scheduled the room, it did not include a washing machine. Finally, the flooring in the bedroom was damaged and loose - it should be repaired before the next guest arrives. I was told other buildings on the property are nicer and dont have these issues but, at minimum, if there is no elevator they should advise you of that at check-in. I was told management will be contacting me and will update this review if that occurs.

Comment: This hotel was touted as a 4 to 5 star hotel. Not at all. Room was 2 to 3 star quality. First thing I noticed was the tear in the decorative pillow on the couch. Then I took a look outside and the hedges were overgrown and sad. I am disappointed, after all this a Hilton property, I though they have higher standards. Next morning I decided to check out the fitness center, it was what I expected. I looked up to check the time and noticed the clock had not been changed. When did daylight savings time begin? Went back to my room and noticed the time on the microwave had not been changed either. But, the kicker was, they could not find my medical equipment that had been sent a day earlier. The front desk staff said it had not been delivered. My husband had to make noise and ultimately had to walk through the building looking for it. Found it in the laundry area. The place is clean, the staff smiles a lot, (kind of like the wives of Stepford) but no one does anything above their pay grade. Basic hotel, basic service. Keep expectations low. Oh, I think it is great for kids, lots of swimming pools.

Nightly cleaning service comes every evening to see if you need anything and gave little chocolate kisses for my kids.My only complaint is it is very expensive and I wouldnt normally go here. There are a lot of good hotels that you could go that are a fraction of the price.Key word is good. Most hotels are just that: good. The resort is beautiful and the rooms were very nice. The views from the room or the hiking/biking trail were amazing too. This place has its own entrance into Legoland! So far we have had nothing but issues from our room and balcony infested with spiders and earwigs, to horrendous poolside service or lack thereof (ordered drinks that would never show up), housekeeping not coming on the days they were scheduled which means no new towels in our rooms for days and to top it off when we call housekeeping nobody picks up. We called the front desk and the agents were extremely rude. My family and I travel a ton and have never been treated this way - I will never stay in another Hilton again! There is a lot of space in the hotel rooms and it comes with 2 chocolates in each room, 1 pack of lemonade in each room, some hot cocoa mix, and the best part is; when you enter the bedrooms, the towels are shaped like animals🤩 It also has amazing decoration that I liked a lot. The pool is pretty big and it’s usually not too warm and not too cold. At the pool, there is a jacuzzi. I saw like 2 bugs and the lock for the bathroom in my hotel room didn’t work. Theres an entrance to Legoland which is reserved for hotel guests allowing you to skip the long lines at the main entrance...very nice . Now the bad...the shower handle could not hold position and shower would get hotter slowly, and then suddenly just drop to scalding temps. The AC unit is very loud and had lamp fixtures rattling....lastly tv sits too low or the bed is too tall...when you have walked Lego Land for miles and just want to get your legs up and and watch TV...its annoying that your feet will right in front of the TV.....a wall mount is dirt cheap...still had a good time, drinks by the pool was awesome, and the whole place is very kid friendly

The main pool area is fun with two big pools, games, gym, and lots of space.We stayed in a queen with sleeper with our two you boys and it was fine for a night. Comment: Marbrisa is beautiful place! It is part of the Hilton Grand Resort vacation program. We had the smallest room size available but it have a small kitchen though without a range/oven. The pools and exercise room were very nice. The personnel were friendly and helpful.

Comment: The pools are nice there along with the bar and food. However, rooms are a little bit old (or they gave us an older rooms instead of the newer ones they have). Overall, a decent experience there. We would come back. Its close by Legoland and have our own back gate entrance which is great. Parking is plentyful. Close by to Carlsbad outlet if you need to go shopping.

Comment: This is a very nice property, very large and lots of space. The pool deck is nice, with lots of cabanas and seating. The ping pong tables and games are a nice touch. Buts kind of loud with all the kids. My room backed up to Legoland so I was able to hear kids screaming on the roller coasters from inside my room. This place would be great for families with kids.

Comment: We enjoyed the golf carts that went around to designated stops to help you get around the resort We also enjoyed the activities that were available. The trolley that takes you around the city was also a very enjoyable ride and allows you to get out and do things that you want to do. The transportation was complimentary. The staff was very friendly and approachable. The pool areas and dining areas were also very enjoyable.

Comment: All of the staff members were super friendly and the grounds were beautiful! The rooms were very large and open. I loved how the pool area had outdoor games such as foosball, connect four, and ping pong that made the family time by the pool so much fun. The pools were very large and there were hammocks located all around the pool area. The fire pit and bar area was extremely relaxing for the whole family. This hotel also offered kid-friendly activities, family-friendly, and adult activities daily throughout the week. My only complaint would probably be that the key cards would not work on the door sometimes the first couple days that we arrived so we could have to call the front the send someone down because it was the reader on the door and not the actual key. Other than that, the hotel was really nice, staff was super friendly, and there are a lot to do on the hotel grounds and in the area.

Comment: The main reason why I chose to stay at this hotel as its proximity to Legoland. The entrance reserved for guests of the surrounding hotels into the park is an absolute advantage in something that will make your stay at this Resort even better. The rooms are neat and tidy. The common area offers nice pools and some recreational toys for families. All in all it was a great experience in a nice hotel.

Comment: The room was very nice and the recreation area (pool) was wonderful to hang out in. Grills, extra large connect 4, huge fire pit areas, comfortable hammocks, and multiple jacuzzis. There was even pool tables (billiards) near the actual pools! I didnt stay that long as it was a friends room, but it was a very pleasant experience and would love to come back some day!

Comment: We love the place. Have been here multiple times with and without kids. With the kids there is Lego land right next door. Without the kids well Carlsbad has a little of everything for an adult to do. The resort is clean, staff knowledgeable and nice, three hot tubs and two pools around the pool bar restaurant. Comment: Wow... I actually did not stay here but my Outlaw in-laws did. Their room was fantastic, the grounds were wonderfully landscaped, the pools looked clean and refreshing, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. We were having a family reunions and this was a wonderful spot to have it. We were poolside during a happy hour and it was great. Even though I live close by I am looking for an excuse to go and stay there for a weekend!

Comment: Did not stay her but went for a tour for a time share. Nice inside and updated to appease the eyes. I found that my Palisade resort was much nicer though. No real views of the ocean at this resort from your room. Large pools and hot tub but I do not remember seeing a restaurant on site. They do have food but access times I am not sure of. Worth a stay if you can get it cheap enough. Laundry is in all rooms

Comment: The location is great. We are conveniently located between San Diego and Anaheim. The rooms are nicely decorated and have enough of the items. Could use a little more of plates, cups, trash bags etc. The landscaping is lovely. And the pool is so great! We loved the heated pool. The dishwasher is eh. Doesnt do the best job. Comment: Well... Our room was not ready when we arrived an hour after check in time. We arrived after 5pm. The rug in the living room was FILTHY you could feel the stains and dirt on your bare feet. The tub in the master bath was missing a lever which caused the water to shut off having us call maintenance. The bathroom fans do not shut off and are pretty loud. Well they told us the fans are hooked up to the building not to a switch in the bathrooms so there was nothing they could do except give us a new room. As for the lever that was missing in the big tub we were actually accused of breaking it by the maintenance guy he kept dancing around the fact that it should be there, what happened to it ? When in reality after he took the faucet apart he found it wasnt there. We were also told that there was nothing he could do as he didnt have the part to replace it so he showed us how to stick something like a knife into where the lever goes to push down the button on the inside in case the water went off again in case the water shut off again. We had to live with it or we can get a new room. As for the carpet they maintenance was there and they did look at the rug they took pictures of it and then they offered us a new room or that they could come and take it and wash it and then bring it back or we could have a new room. They did come and take it away they told us they were going to wash it and bring it back well we never had the rug again they never brought it back. You may wonder why we never took them on the offer of a new Room, thats because there were four of us and we had already unpacked we had already brought up with several trips to groceries for the whole week that we were going to be up there and had already placed all the groceries away we basically did a lot of work to do this and not once when they offered us a new room did they say that they would help us move any of this or where this room would be and as they didnt even offer us a free drink or anything complimentary for all the inconvenience there was no way we were going to take a chance of having to Lug all this stuff to another room on our own. Besides I was there as a guest of my sister who is an elite partner owner whatever they call them with this resort and I expected more from all the inconvenience not once did they say here why dont you go to dinner on us while we fix this or here why dont we give you a free drink not once we we offered anything for the less than Easy 8/Motel 6 experience we had.

Comment: The property is in great shape, rooms are spacious (and well appointed) and the pools are large and stocked with amenities. The nice poolside bar has average food, but there are ping pong, pool, shuffleboard, and other games, along with a number of large hammocks. The Legoland access gate is a very short walk, providing comparable access to the Legoland Hotel but a much better overall experience.

Comment: Excellent rooms with beautiful ocean views throughout the resort. Lots of amenities thanks to the attached Sheraton. Lots of nice extras like free parking and a hiking trail. The resort is spread out and hilly, so it requires either some walking, moving your car a lot, or calling for a golf cart, they will happily give you a nice, comfortable ride if you need one.

Comment: We really enjoyed using this property as a part of our time share with Hilton Grand Vacations. We had a one bedroom with living room and kitchen. Our room had a nice balcony with access from the bedroom or living room area. The pool area was very nice, with lots of space around the pools and jacuzzi areas. The pool area also had ping pong, a pool table, a big connect 4 game and hammocks. There is also a restaurant/bar in the pool area.The area the resort is in is very close to the beach and downtown Carlsbad. The resort also has a private entrance into Legoland.The state beaches in Carlsbad were very clean, had lifeguards and werent too crowded.Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Comment: This place is amazing. The pool was the perfect temperature, there were plenty of Jacuzzis, a few different activities you could do in the pool area and a bar. Checking in and out at the desk was lightning fast. Lego land is right beside the property. Amazing places to eat and drink within a few miles. The beach is also just a few miles away. Oh and the staff was awesome as well. You cant go wrong staying here. I do recommend coming and staying 3 nights and 4 days at least.

The room was nice enough with a view of a sand volleyball court and a maintenance yard. The location is close to the beach as well as many very good restaurants. Comment: We stayed in one of their apartments. It was very nice. The floor layout was comfortable. And the location was close to the swimming pool/hot tubs etc. My only complaint is that the TVs in the units are all set to ambient lighting, which means when the lights are turned off the screen gets really dark. I talked to the front desk about it and they said others have complained but the maintenance cant do anything about it. But I did find a solution. The sensor is on the bottom middle of the tv. So if you have a little flashlight or something to put near it, the screen will brighten. But please fix that Hilton. Its nice to enjoy a movie on vacation.

Comment: The resort was beautiful when you first walk in. The rooms are nice and the pool areas are amazing. My one problem was that the hot tubs were dirty and theres not many things to do at the resort itself. Like in Hawaii there was shops and restaurants all over the Hilton resort. But here, there was one restrant and that was at the Sheraton hotel. Overall it was nice but there could be some changes.

Comment: The rooms are nice, however, the views of the ocean could be better in some that say you have a view when you actually have to bend around the balcony to see it. The rest of the room is fine. The tub is nice and big. Good size room considering your really not here to stay in the room all day, unless thats your thing. Kitchen is as basic as its needed to be. Overall the experience from the staff is very nice and polite, informative and understanding.
