Positive: I was so upset about picking this girl. I could of gotten a cheaper room that I could actually get some sleep in. Negative: I should have read the reviews on this place before booking. Three nights spent here and hardly any sleep because the walls are so thin you can literally hear everything. Not only that but it felt like there was a zoo ok living above us. I was disappointe
Back on the road for first trip since the pandemic. Rochester Hills offered a good location with amenities to meet a demanding road trip. Staff was terrific and food was good with comfortable room.
The girl named Megan says she’s manager at Rochester hills mi location! Refusing to do a room block for my wedding I had to call 3x she said she sent and email untrue! She was I have over 350 ppl comming to my wedding. And she was like I can only hold 2 rooms for 2 nights I needed 16 rooms from June 19-30 my Chaldean tradition we do a henna party then the wedding the a second party after the wedding .. ppl are coming out of town for over a week she like no I can’t do that.. I was like fine I just go somewhere else she hung up in my face. Don’t ever book accommodations here ppl I’m telling you bad management and horrible service she is so messed up !
Everything was fine until I woke up and turned on the lights. That’s when I saw four cockroaches in the bathroom scatter. I was able to catch one which I showed the front desk person when checking out. I asked for the manager, but manager was not available due to trying to open for breakfast at 6:45. Breakfast was to open at 6:30. I didn’t get impression that they were concerned.
Enjoyed seeing Judy, who runs the morning breakfast service, helpful, attentive and friendly. Stayed a couple days and Judy was always a friendly face to brighten up our mornings. Worked hard to keep everything in a orderly and clean environment for the patrons.
Definitely not the cleanest Ive been to. When we checked in the internet was not functioning. The room was clean but the common areas were not.
The hotel is fine, everything was as expected for such a place. No better or worse. In comparison to other like hotels, their breakfast was lacking a bit. I was surprised to not see any cereals or other kid friendly foods. The attendant was, unfortunately, quite rude, though. Perhaps due to the stress and disappointment of working on a holiday? My kids really liked the pool. I was concerned it may have been closed but was very happy and relieved to see it was open as the pool was the main reason for booking this hotel over others in the area.
Great place at this price point. Rooms immaculate. Shower is huge with plenty of heat and pressure. Breakfast hot and covid safe. Coffee is delicious
Seriously cant remember a worst hotel stay. The walls are so thin I hardly got any sleep in the 3 days I was there. Would not recommend, you will regret it. There are better hotels that are cheaper in the same area.
Comfortable bed good breakfastNeeds to have a leak fixed in the floor, end it could use some updating in the room, the blind could be repaired.The staff at the desk could have been a little more personal and friendly. But at the breakfast the next morning the lady was very friendly and good choices of food
Have stayed before and loved the friendliness of the staff and location to our destination. Would stay again when visiting our son and grand daughters. Were very tired from the drive from Idaho and was glad to have a fast checkin and great bed to jump into as soon as we opened the door. Slept late and almost missed breakfast.
Lobby area was clean. Breakfast was plentiful and dining area was kept clean. This is a nice hotel in a good area. If you travel and stay at a lot of hotels you’ll notice that they’re building them cheaper. You can hear people walking above you and in the hallways. Like your back in your Grandma’s house and you can hear every step Grandpa makes as he walks around upstairs. Guess they’re using less concrete and more plywood these days. We had a college soccer team practicing above us in the hallways late one night. Hope they won their game the next day.
The hotel was clean and staff was courteous. The walls are paper thin, so we heard our neighbors talking and snoring. The location is great and the breakfast was good. Book strategically!
I found the staff to be professional and very friendly by phone before my arrival and upon my arrival and during my stay they were great. I love my suite and the size was perfect. I didnt care for the sofa bed it needed to be upgraded for a better quality of sleep and sitting comfort. The only small issue I would say is we didnt get replenished on our fresh linens toilet paper and we were there for 2 days but I knew also if we needed it we just had to ask. Love the toiletries in bathroom that was different and kinda cool. I also wasnt told on the phone when making reservations that I had to leave a $50 deposit. Had I not had it in my account it may have been can we stay or not? I love how close walmart and meijer was. I am very satisfied and definitely will book again.
Always a pleasure walking into our assigned room and seeing the good quality of our choice of places to stay. We had ease in moving in with the movable racks and spaciousness in the room to hang clothes and put suitcases. Bathroom was ample but would be nice to have two sinks. Overall,,,,wed stay there again. We were very pleased with the staff and breakfast choices,
This is a new property and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The biggest issue we had was the noise level. You can literally hear everything going on around you. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear the people above us running around. We had guests (drunk) that were extremely load outside our room in the hallway and our next door neighbors thought it was appropriate to let their child run in the room screaming and banging on the door. You would think with a newer hotel, there would be a little better noise barrier in between rooms. It did quiet down by 1030pm so we did not call the front desk and we slept well. The breakfast area was nice and the woman working it was extremely nice. It was great to have actual hot breakfast again instead of a box.
My husband and I need to travel to Rochester Hills a couple of times per year. This will be our go-to hotel from now on. Other hotels in the area near this one have been very shady. This hotel was professionally staffed, very clean in all the common areas, hallways and rooms. I felt safe at this hotel. We really liked the complimentary breakfast, which surprisingly included hot options, such as scramblef eggs, veggie omelets, pancakes, sausage, turkey sausage, and much more. And the woman that sets up and stocks the breakfast is engaging and makes sure everyone has what they want. We will be back.
We so enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave. The room was large with a couch and small dinette. The bed/pillow was so comfortable! The hotel is next door to a Walmart and restaurants. The staff was amazing. We will always stay here when we come to visit our family!
My room was spacious and clean. Breakfast choices were excellent. Staff was following pandemic protocols. The only draw-back was a lack of housekeeping staff but i did not need it.
We were pleased to find this hotel was in a very accessible location and on the high end of safety and Covid protocols. The desk clerk was very welcoming and friendly. The location is right next door to a very good sports bar with great food. The breakfast was served covid style by Debbie who did an excellent job. Breakfast room was very clean. Check out desk clerk also very friendly. Would stay here again.
The Team at this location does a fantastic job, very accommodating and friendly! Very nice cooked breakfast bar every morning, beats the usual Continental type. Rooms are neat and clean. If I had to choose what could be improved it would be the TV channel selection.
This hotel is very warm and welcoming. The staff is eager to please and goes the extra yard in helping to make your stay a good experience. The breakfast is awesome and the rooms a very comfortable.

From the front desk, to the breakfast bar, to the cleaning crew, this hotel shines. Everyone was friendly, professional, and efficient. We stayed here due to a power outage at our home. The spacious room was clean
Enjoyed our one night stay prior to catching our bus excursion in adjacent lot the next morning. Could walk to a nice restaurant for dinner next door that night, and if had forgotten any essentials could also walk to Walmart or Meijers. Great location right off of I-75
The bed was fantastic. I slept great. The room was great UNTIL the toilet decided to clog. I called the front desk early and left for the day. I came back late and it was not fixed. I had to call again the next day.
This was the best stay at a hotel Ive had in a long time. I travel frequently and my hotel experiences have been exceedingly poor during Covid. I was happily surprised by the professionalism of the staff, cleanliness of the entire location (especially my room), and how quiet my stay was.Checkout was fast. Sanitizer is readily available around the check in area - staff follow the mask mandate. Felt safe and comfortable during my stay.
Booked a room through Southwest Airlines to attend the sudden death funeral of a brother. The listing for the room had a free cancellation policy.The flight was over an hour late arriving well after midnight. Picked up my rental car at 1:15am in Detroit. Did not make it to the hotel. Received this notification from Southwest: “The hotel has notified us that you did not arrive on the check-in date of your booking.”As a no-show with a free cancellation policy I was still charged the full amount for room.Upon calling the property and explaining the situation and request for a refund I was flat out told by the manager in charge that a refund would not happen.Wish I could take away the one star rating. Once you make a reservation at this property and upon providing credit card information they will keep your money. Your only option is to notify Southwest Airlines and Chase Bank if using a Southwest credit card to dispute the charge. We’ll see how that goes.
My wife and I stayed one night while attending a family graduation party. The staff (front desk, cleaning, and breakfast area) we all very friendly. The woman in the breakfast area was especially warm....checking in on how we were doing, clearing our used plates, and just being friendly, which we really appreciated. Great Service!!
The hotel needs better insulation to cut down on room noise. The breakfast bar needs more choices but the staff was very friendly. Once the property is fully staffed it will be a better place to stay.
This location is next to a highway so you can hear the traffic, but otherwise everything was great. The room was very clean. Breakfast had a variety of options and the hours were posted on the wall next to the dining room.
This is my personal spot! I love the staff and area.. so peaceful and quiet. The rooms are nice and always clean. Prices are reasonable and worth the stay. I even signed up for the IHG REWARDS and I’ve gotten 2 free nights. Love, love the hotels !
We had 2 rooms- both clean and staff was pleasant. Shops near by which makes it easy if you forget something. Did not have the breakfast, but it smelled good.
Super sketchy, no security, unusable WiFi - 7 night stay. Checked in without having to show any ID. Had to call in a 3:00am noise complaint on our partying neighbors (and while the front desk told them to quiet down, they did not), and we could have called in multiple other times/nights, but whats the point. Noise from the freeway was super loud and disruptive to sleep. The WiFi was essentially unusable, day or night. Finally, my family simply did not feel safe at this location with people/guests behaving oddly, coming and going, doors slamming, and people partying - all night long - with no visible presence of any hotel staff almost ever. Highly recommend steering clear of this Holiday Inn Express; by far the worst Ive stayed at.
Loved the family suite as it suited my family size well. Breakfast and a pool was important in my decision and they didnt disappoint. The continental breakfast served by the nicest lady ever was a big plus when traveling with children. Also the Walmart
Decent size room with comfortable king size bed. Bathroom was clean and spacious with a walk-in shower and glass door.Neighbors above and next door could be heard, but were quite after 10pm.Limited food service due to Pandemic, but coffee was ok.
Our stay was not pleasant. My husband, our three kids and myself stay for just one night as a “staycation.” The pool was nice, the kids loved it but after our evening swim we returned to our room to hear very loud noises from the room above us. Also, note that we brought with us a very loud white noise sound machine. Think 6 grown men playing playing a roudy game of basketball. We dealt with it until 10pm then my husband went to the front desk and told him about the situation. He said the hotel staff was in the lobby with adult friends and he assumed the friends kids were the ones making the noise. The noise did lessen for about 15 minutes then it started back up again. Woke up our kids multiple time for the next two hours. Sometime shortly before midnight I called down to reiterate that the noise was so inconsiderate and needed to stop. It finally lessened over the next 30 minutes and we were all we’re finally getting back to sleep. Nothing was mentioned to us at checkout about the situation.
Upon check in, when I got to my room, the entire hallway smelled like pot. Mind you I was on the first floor right next to the office. I also made the mistake of allowing them to book me in a highway facing room, the road noise was so load it kept me up at night and woke me up earlier than I wanted. The smell of pot was so strong it was coming in my room and I even smelled it the next morning in my bathroom. Speaking of bathroom, the shower pressure is so bad, it didnt even feel like I was clean. Horrible water pressure. I checked out early and was never asked why or if there was a problem, so no I would not stay at this property again.
We stayed a few days as a staycation from home. The staff was friendly and the whole hotel seems very well cleaned and sanitized. We had kids running the hallways above us but as we were going to complain they had settled down. The first floor reeked of weed, which we assumed was due to a party that someone was having. The pool was FULL of kids. Thankfully, we didnt use it and dont think we would have been able to anyways. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons and we would definitely stay again.
Room was clean and spacious but VERY thin walls! Could hear phone conversation of woman directly above me. Customer Service needs definite upgrade! Hotel staff not very accomodating and one gal was downright rude! The staff need to learn to say Yes we would love to! instead of begrudgingly doing things/acting like guests are inconveniencing staff! Isnt it the job of hotels to be faccomodating to guests?
Choosing this Hotel was the best choice for my family. The rooms are clean modern and spacious. The two room suite made our stay even more enjoyable because everyone had their own space including the sofa bed with flat screen televisions. The pool was also very nice and clean. The breakfast rush was calm because of the staff’s willingness to help in any way.

Its such a relief to have a wonderful, clean setting to be our home away from home when visiting family in Rochester Hills. And family members dont have to worry about where to put us up and the extra laundry that comes from having company! This was my third stay at the hotel, the first two were great. Although Covid rules were in place, they were not enforced. Additionally, our floor was extremely loud. It was not just one or two rooms, screaming could be heard from multiple rooms as I walked from the elevator to my room. At 11pm very young unattended children ran up and down the hall yelling. They were eventually retrieved by their parents and spanked in the hall, which led to crying and more screaming. I would recommend hiring a security guard or hall monitor.
Black hair all over the bathroom floor! Shower curtain and tub. Looked like someone shaved their whole body. Disgusting. I had to clean it before I could shower. Asked for it to be cleaned and they never did and did not even record my complaint. Had to discuss with staff the second time and really push it to get it cleaned and curtain replaced.
The parking was convenient and well lit, I felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet and bed was comfy. The room was new feeling and very clean. I was happily surprised by the breakfast choices, lots of freshly made warm food. The breakfast lady made sure the area was clean and food was hot and fresh. The whole stay was a happy surprise.
The name Holiday Inn Express implies a standard of quality and this location did not disappoint. The room was clean, comfortable, and in good condition. The bathroom had everything we needed and felt modern. Breakfast was phenomenal by COVID standards - hot scrambled eggs, sausage, warm cinnamon rolls, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee. Being located between Walmart and Meijer was a definite bonus when we realized wed forgotten a couple items. Staff was very friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend this location and stay here again.
Overall very pleasant. The room and service was excellent. I did not like being transferred to a call center when I tried to call the hotel where we were staying. The person tried to book us at another hotel.
The bathroom was set up nicely for handicap people especially the shower set up. The only problem was the water drainage in the floor it did not work well and left standing water on the bathroom floor
The location was excellent for our stay, close to the hospital for my husband’s surgery. King bed was quite comfortable, good quality linens. Very clean rooms, nicely updated with a modern decor. There was a washer and dryer for guest use on our floor, great for extended stays. Breakfast is included and they offer many choices, including many hot dishes. Several restaurants within walking distance for a quick lunch or dinner and a drink.
We had a great experience this weekend. The staff was very accommodating to our large group of 13-year-old girls. Our two room suite was the perfect set up for us. The staff was very helpful and offered to let us use a meeting room to have cake and presents and were always quick to help out with any of our requests. The breakfast lady was very sweet and chatted with us and even offered to clear our plates. I highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff was especially friendly! It makes a big difference when the employees are happy to be there and like to visit with the guests.
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was very nice and clean. The rooms were very up to date and clean. I loved it that when we asked for a latte checkout there was no problem. It made it much easier to rest before leaving. Checkout was smooth and the staff was very polite. The only problem we had was we could hear the people in the next room very well, and the people above us. Other than that I had no issues. I would definitely recommend this hotel tho others.

I took my grandkids to the Holiday Inn Express as a special treat. We had a great time swimming in the clean pool.The room was nice and clean. The bathroom had plenty of towels. Breakfast options were delicious and the staff in dining area were very helpful.The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. We has an excellent experience!
The staff was awesome the rooms clean and fresh well stocked for my stay nice location located near shopping ,food , i loved walking out and seeing a small woods across street i could walk around it was peaceful and relaxing and i can not wait to stay there again 5 star in my opinion
I stayed here for work. Its clean, quiet, beds are ok if you like firm mattresses, and friendly staff. No continental breakfast due to covid but they do provide grab and go bags with muffin, apple, yogurt. Keurigs in room. Fast and easy check in.
Very good overall. The only unresolvable issue is the sound barrier between the rooms. My next room neighbor was very soft spoken, but I could hear very word they said. So I had to leave the AC circulating the air all night. The kitchen lady was very helpful to keep sufficient supply of food and drink during breakfast.Great place for a short stay. Good Work!
This hotel was way below the standard of cleanliness for HIE. Halls, common areas and room were stained and dirty. If we had not checked in so late would have moved to another hotel. Will not rebook ever.
Rochester Hills is probably not an area that a lot of people stay at, but for us it was a great location to be prior to having my nephew move into the dorm. The service was great from check-in till check-out. Breakfast could be eaten in the dining area or taken back to our room which were great options due to this pandemic. The location was great for us as well with Walmart and Meijers on either side of the hotel as well as the different variety of places to eat at while we stayed here.I will definitely be back to stay here when I am able to.
Sparse staffing. Room was dirty upon arrival - there was lint dust dirt all over the floor . Found housekeeping staff member who did Vacuum. But then it made us wonder how clean the rest of the room was. Never saw anyone at the front desk after our initial check in. Lobby area was always vacant. Breakfast choices were good. Felt bad for the one person who was doing everything. Cooking serving and cleaning. Think it was a lot for one person. Especially when a line developed. ALSO. why am I being charged a full rate when there was no house keeping available Didn’t make sense. Thought room charge was high for the value.
From the moment we arrived, we knew this was a well-kept, modern facility. My daughter and I were extremely pleased with the contemporary, clean, and well-taken-care-of accommodations. Brightly lit, modern amenities, extremely comfortable bed and pillows, clean carpets, fresh smell, and a newer air-conditioning system with a wall mounted thermostat were much appreciated. The front desk staff who helped us upon our arrival and check out were very sweet and kind and amicable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, nice place to stay.
Stayed here on a business trip. Breakfast was decent. Rooms were very clean and modern. The location is great. However this hotel had one big flaw, poor soundproofing. There were alot of sleepless nights due to what sounded like a marching band upstairs. Ive stayed in other Holiday Inn hotels and have not had this problem. Snow removal was very poor also.
We had booked a different hotel for 3 nights. The first night at the other hotel we knew we couldnt stay there- it was horrible.Not only were we able to get a room at the Holiday Inn Express but they let us check in at 11am the next day and they matched the price of the first hotel.The hotel was very clean, all employees were professional and helpful. We really appreciated the hot breakfast. Highly recommend
Stayed here for a wedding. The hotel was fine, seemed clean. Our room was nice, it was clean and comfortable. The rate was fair for what we experienced. The customer service of the gentlemen checking us in was off putting. He had an attitude and was not helpful in any way. Did not use pool/fitness room. Did not have any breakfast in the am. The shuttle provided for the ride to/from the wedding was great, the driver aimed to please.
The hotel was exceptionally quiet not a lot of people were staying or had already left after the holiday. Check in was smooth, the room were great, (The pillows were a little mushy for my taste), the surrounding stores and eateries were awesome and this hotel is very accessible to the highway. Coffee is available 24 hours however the coffee station was dimly lit and the coffee was luke warm but other than that this is a great place to stay I highly recommend it.

We were happy with our stay here as we always are at Holiday inn Express hotels. Everything was very clean and well kept. The bathrooms are well laid out and we like having a safe and places to hang our clothes. My husband loves the pancake machine at breakfast and the cinnamon rolls are very good too☺️. The beds are comfy and we had a nice lounge chair.
We arrived on Thursday, our room was ready and beautiful. Everything we needed. The big tub was the best part for me. I needed the down time. We liked the area we felt very safe.
The only bad thing was the housekeeping. Everyday I had to ask to have the room clean. Then one bed was made the other was not. I had to walk down and get towels each day. Trash not emptied and coffee not refilled .The other suggestion I had was a nice place to sit in your room. We had my elderly mother with us and she stayed at hotel most of time. She tried to sit in room and relax and watch tv. She could Not because there was only bed or a kitchen type chair to sit on. Very uncomfortable.
Traveling as often as I do, it is unusual to feel at home anywhere on the road, with few exceptions. This Hotel is one of those exceptions. They have the best breakfast staff we have met, and they treat my wife and me like were their family. The freshness of the fruit and quality of the food can differ from Hotel to Hotel, but not here. This dynamic breakfast staff duo makes certain the fruit is always fresh, and there is a tasty assortment of well-prepared food. They literally treat their Hotel guests like they would, if they owned the business. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms are something you can always depend on, and the front desk staff consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate. I highly recommend this Hotel!
Haven’t been to a Holiday Inn Express in a while, but I forgot how great they are. The breakfast service is wonderful and the food service staff went over and above to make sure we had what we needed. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the bed was soft and the blinds kept out all the light so we didn’t wake up at the crack of dawn. Highly recommended!
When I walked in, I was greeted instantly with a warm welcome and I checked into my room 5 minutes later. The hotel is very clean, smells clean, looks very modern with business center, pool, breakfast area, and conference rooms. I had not one problem while I stayed their except a little bit of noise in the lobby as I was in the first room next to the lobby. Other than that it was AMAZING. The room itself blew me away with the modern look and huge TV. Bathrooms are spotless.

It was hard to sleep with people going up and down the halls talking loudly, knocking on doors at 10pm. Then at 5 am the room next to ours a guest started a telephone conversation (in a different language) and thus we could not fall back to sleep. Although the person who checked us in was efficient and assisted us with our request, he was not engaging and we felt just like another person checking in.
The facility was brand new, everything was excellent. The staff is friendly and courteous. The breakfast was delicious and included gluten free items. Check in and out was very easy. The elevator was clean and moved well. The staff person serving breakfast spoke to everyone and tried her best to be of service, keeping the area clean and the items on the breakfast buffet full. She also went about the room serving coffee and asked if she could get anyone anything, I really liked that the duvey cover on the beds could be removed and washed unlike other motels that have a bed spread that I dont think they wash between costumers
I would recommend the hotel as the location is great, as my room was clean, newer interior and walking distance to a mid scale restaurant. Also offered warm breakfast which is pretty uncommon due to COVID. The only negative is that it could be a little further from the highway. A
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was very large. I had a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Every comfort I needed. Everything was very clean, and the staff took extra precautions to make you feel safe.
New hotel, friendly staff who treat the guests with utmost respect, very well appointed rooms - contemporary design, excellent housekeeping, fresh linens and towels.They had my room upgraded even before I arrived, never put in a request through call/at the time of booking, they put my status on the room card sleeve along with the status bonus - that was a really nice touch!Definitely staying here again!
This hotel is very modern (only opened a month prior to us staying there), so everything is brand new. The rooms are SO clean and spacious - we had a room for 6 and there was STILL extra room! Room was dark when we needed it but once the blinds were open plenty of light was shining in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was great! Plenty of choices and lots of room for tables! Toiletries were actually really nice quality, something I would buy on my own at home. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to anyone who was considering it!
Overall the hotel was good. Other guests made my visit less than satisfactory, i.e., not wearing masks, the walls are very thin so loud television made it difficult to sleep, and guests holding loud conversations in the hallway outside my room was disturbing.
First walked in to the room to check the bed and everything, the bed had hairs and stains in the bed still, went to talk to the person at the front and ended up getting another room.. went out came back + was locked outta my room, had to sit outside for almost an hour waiting while trying to get in contact w Hq and this lady had the audacity to hang up on us.. waste of 500
Our family has stayed at many hotels near Detroit as we travel for hockey a lot. This hotel was amazing! The queen suite was huge and VERY cost effective! The breakfast was phenomenal! Judy and Debi who worked the breakfast were on top of it! They made sure the food did not run out, tables were cleaned ASAP and the area remained clean. Those ladies did all of that with a smile! So friendly! This hotel was clean and still smelled new. I would recommend this hotel again and again.
The staff was outstanding. Had my 94 year old mom stay with my sister there while we all visited. Additionally, the staff was fabulous helping mom during breakfast. The hotel was very clean with reasonable rates. I would definitely stay again!!
Room is very modern and clean. Breakfast was great, kitchen staff (Judy & Debi) are extremely friendly and helpful. Housekeepers (Charlene) are friendly and accommodating, would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.Our wealthy family members had to stay at the hotel next to us and our hotel was 10 times better and we were bragging about ours!!
I had a great stay, and was very happy with my room. The staff were helpful and attentive. The breakfast was good with a wide selection to choose from. I was impressed by the selection of premium movie channels that were included free. The rooms were clean and I could hear no noise from outside. Overall it was a positive experience for a great price.
I was very surprised to be as glad as I was during our stay. I typically stay in more boutique hotels but we were being more conscious of our budget for this trip and saw that it was well reviewed. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that everything exceeded expectations. The only (very minor) thing we were disappointed to find was that the pool, although heated, was not warm enough for my two little ones to play in. Not surprising for December, which is why I didn’t let it really impact my glowing review. The staff was courteous, attentive, and helpful, everything was spotless, and the location was convenient!

I stayed here for a conference. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff has been very kind and attentive, both in taking care of our room and for the conference activities. The location is convenient to so many points of interest. Id gladly stay here again given the opportunity.
I made reservations online and got my dates mixed up somehow and arrived at the hotel a day before my reservation. It was around 10 pm so I asked if they had any rooms available and if I could get a discount because my 3 day stay was gonna be a 4 day stay and it was kinda of late in the evening. They had the room available but I couldnt get a discount. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and it is a great hotel and a excellent location. I strongly recommend.
We had a good experience. We did not use the pool since it did not look like it had been cleaned. The room was clean and comfortable. We did not get breakfast since our first 2 days since it was over before we were awake. A later breakfast would be wonderful. Overall experience was good.
When I stayed here for work I was impressed with how new, spacious & modern the room was. My only issue with it was the walls were paper-thin & I could hear conversations in the hallway. Also, my bathroom did not have a ton of counter space, but again the appearance was very suave. I am generally patient but with the Grand Tavern next door it does offer the opportunity for guests to have a fantastic restaurant option right next door, it also allows the option for you to go have a few adult beverages with your travel mates & we know how that can get loud sometimes!All in all the hotel is very nice.

Due to my sister being in the hospital, my visit of a few days turned into a 30-day stay at this Holiday Inn. (I ended up having to make arrangements for her to move to assisted care, as well as prepare and sell her house, all by myself.) It was a very stressful time. But, a bright spot in my day was visiting the spotless and well-maintained breakfast buffet, where Brittany, Debbie, and Judy always took the time to greet me warmly and ask how things were going for me. They treated all of the guests like members of their own family!Thus, as a solo traveler, I particularly enjoyed my stay at this pleasant Holiday Inn because of the kind and attentive staff.

Appreciated the room and bathroom cleanliness. The water pressure and temperature levels were consistent and easy to manage. As someone who deals with scoliosis, I found the bed to be so good for supporting my body properly. The pillows were a little soft for me but having as many pillows available made up for that.Now that I have experienced the service here, I wouldnt mind from time to time just go and stay at a local Holiday Inn Express hotel for the pleasure with the Mrs. Thank you for the great time.
We came into town August 6, 2016 for a family wedding. Our stay at the Rochester Holiday Inn Express was very wonderful! I never do reviews, but I met someone on your staff that was so personable, helpful and kind that I feel compelled to compliment your hiring personnel. Judy helped me and my family navigate the breakfast buffet. It was refreshing to find someone with old fashion values who truly cares about what she is doing. I was impressed with the modern amenities in the hotel, and you differentiated yourself with the quality of the people you hired from the desk, breakfast buffet and cleaning staff. This is missing from our modern business world. Even the kindness of the house keepers in the hallway who gave a genuine hello! This wasnt the fake response you get so often in hotels. For me and my family, this really was one of the best hotel stays weve ever had, and it was a great value as well. Thank you! Dan
We came here for an over night stay , ate at the bar and grill right next door that was very convenient. Good food. Check in was fine. Room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom shower was excellent! Very big! Not used to the contemporary decor but I loved it! Will stay here again in the future.
Have been to this hotel 3 times. Generally have been happy but this last time, not so much. Noise issues with other guests and housekeeping made it to our room once in a 5 day stay.The rooms are modern and clean...breakfast is very good.Nicely located near shopping and restaurants.Pay in advance and get a better rate.45 minutes from the Detroit airport...

The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. The bathroom itself had great cleanliness and the flow of the room was appealing. The morning breakfasts that were provided were adequate and did just enough to get me through the day. The staff was kind and attentive to needs and situations.
Nobody answers the phone. The pool was not by reservation only hut when my kids tried to go swimming they were told it was. So we made a reservation and then other families came to swim, which was fine, but please be consistent. We came there TO swim and got less than an hour in the pool.
I had three children traveling with me and they loved walking in to the hotel lobby and were enticed immediately by the cookies. We were able to relax in the very comfortable room with two queen beds before taking advantage of the pool. The kids swam for over an hour with many friends on their robotics team. We then called it a night before our competition. We never heard a sound from the neighboring room or hallway noise.
I stay in IHG properties regularly and as far as cleanliness and value this location is on par with most HIE I have been to. With the COVID-19 changing everything its hard to write a bad review about this place because honestly it seems like they are doing what they can to keep operating with the limited visitors.I will just say my room was ok but had a few problems and it doesnt appear that maintenance staff is working full time. For the start I went to get on the elevator and it mad a loud metallic bang noise which prompted me to take the stairs the remainder of my stay. The AC unit in my room went out and basically I was told we can either move to a smaller room or get a discount on rate as maintenance was unavailable. My TV flickered alot but I just watched movies on my laptop. Refrigerator didnt seem to work well either. Again dont want to complain because I know this isnt typically how HIE typically operates but with them operating limited staff I guess maintenance is slipping a bit.
I enjoyed everything about my three night stay. The A/C was efficient and quiet, the room was clean, the staff nice. I will stay here the next time Im in town.
Just wanted to get out for a few days and stayed at a local Holiday Inn Express. Lobby and room were very clean and staff was extremely polite and helpful. Would stay again in a heartbeat and would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about staying in the Rochester area
Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly to our big family of 6. Miss Judy in the kitchen went over and above to help us out for the 3 days that we stayed. My only issue was with the pool, it was too cold for my liking and the front desk explained it was due to it being a salt water pool.
I look forward to working in the area because this hotel is updated, clean and the staff is decent. I work all kinds of hours and as long as my do not disturb sign is on the door i am not bothered by the cleaning staff. Alot of hotels tend to knock anyway.The breakfast staff is awesome, the food is typical holiday inn type.
Staff were very helpful, they made sure we had our rooms together and gave us info on shopping and how to get there. They recommended the restaurant next door which was wonderful. We liked that it was close to shopping . Maybe next time we will use the pool and workout area. My bed and pillows were wonderful. We enjoyed the complimently breakfast.Thanks for the great experience.
We come 3 to 4 to 5 times yearly to this location while visiting our son. We have been offered stays at other nearby hotels, but DO NOT WISH TO CHANGE!! The suites are exceptionally clean, comfortable and spacious for a larger than usual person. Beginning with our check-in at the hotel lobby, to asking for any extra supplies from the person who cleans the suite, to checking-out, all of the personnel in this hotel could not be more courteous. What we find exceptional are the two ladies in the breakfast room. They keep the entire area spotless and are always on top of bringing out fresh dishes when the prepared food begins to run low. We find it an awesome start to a great day and would not begin our days anywhere else. We HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone staying in the Michigan area!!!
Very attentive breakfast staff and well-stocked breakfast. Got my choice of floor and took advantage of the Green Initiative to skip housekeeping. Excellent selection of TV channels, but the internet did not automatically log me in, as I normally see in other HIE properties. The hotel look well kept, clean and organized.
I travel a lot. This ranks as one of the best. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and really liked the layout. Lots of choices for breakfast. I almost stayed at another hotel that would have been $80 more, but decided to save money and try this one because of the reviews. Glad I did.
This hotel was convenient due to its location, affordable, clean - relatively recently remodeled, although carpets looked weirdly cheap looking, and a good breakfast. My only complaint is that i wish they had fresh fruit at the breakfast. The staff was warm and friendly and attentive to details without hassling the guests.I will be staying here on future business trips.
I stayed for 3 nights. Breakfast has variety, healthy option, Judy and Debbie from the kitchen/breakfast area are amazing ladies. All food is well cooked and everything is refilled in time. Tables are clean all the time. Housekeeping services are excellent. Highly recommended hotel for business and casual staying. Pool water should be a little warmer.

Having used this facility previously, I was confident our stay would be first class.Booked rooms for staff members who were working on a project at Meadowbrook Hall.Location is convenient, hotel personnel first rate, rooms & breakfast met our expectations perfectly.We hope to be back in November.
The Hotel was clean and the room was great. We had noisy neighbors that kept their TV on ALL NIGHT LONG, but that can happen anywhere. The pool could have been a bit warmer but we would not hesitate to stay again. We were very satisfied with our stay.

The rooms were great, Very comfortable bed ,the best bath room we have seen out of all the hotels that we have stayed in ,& the hot breakfast was out of this world.The 2 girls,Judy & Debi that ran the breakfast buffet ,were extreemly helpfull & kept everything available & spotless.We have never seen a hotel breakfast buffet this nice!! Great pool & work out room was also very clean. Our room was also very clean & well equipped with everything you would need. The staff was friendly & very helpful,so what more could we ask for !!! This hotel was booked for 2 senior relatives coming to town on short notice. They were extremely pleased. They were able to obtain early checkin and a first floor room close to the door since they cannot easily walk long distances. They thought the hotel was lovely and met their needs in every way and got excellent service.
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Room was on the side as the highway, so there was a bit of road noise, which is understandable. Biggest disappointment was the lack of any substitute for the normal complimentary breakfast IHG hotels normally offer. A stale bagel and a bottle of juice would seem to be realistic.
My husband and I traveled with 2 granddaughters. we could not have chosen a better place. breakfast was great--many options--service was great in restaurant. hotel staff was not only accommodating, but very friendly. pool area was a must for this visit and was great, clean, warm. rooms décor is very clean-lined--some describe it as sparse--I liked that. it also helped to keep the room more orderly with 2 children and various luggage. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. we will be using it in our future travels to Michigan. there was NO reason not to return there.
Larger rooms with nice size bathrooms. We couldnt hear anyone else in the hotel so that was nice. Beds are much more comfortable now. Im glad this hotel went with more comfier beds b/c other HIE were going with the harder beds. The breakfast was excellent! The staff was very friendly and was right there to take your empty plate when you were finished.
Safe check-in, very comfortable bed, great amenities. Still had a hot breakfast being served by staff behind plexiglass, which i thought was really great compared to some places we’ve stayed.
I found it strange that in a mostly empty hotel we were in a room right next to someone else. We heard their mumbled voices all day long. I also found it strange that high touch points in the stairwell were not routinely cleaned, if they were then the piece of trash I saw in the ground probably would have been picked up by the person cleaning the stairwell. The staff was friendly, I think the methods of social distancing around the front desk and in the lobby appear messy and thrown together. Corporate signage and stanchions would have looked more appealing and less cluttered and messy. The lobby looks like a storage closet.
This hotel is clean and very nice but the employees make it exceptional. The front desk employees were always friendly and helpful. The ladies in charge of the breakfast buffet were outstanding and also very friendly. The cleaning staff was great, the room was very comfortable and the location is close to everything; but the staff made this experience excellent instead of above average.
Good stay overall. Breakfast limited due to Covid protocols. Tried to rest in the tub to soak sore muscles, the shelves are poorly placed and could not sit up in the tub. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked for something.
The rooms were very nice, spacious and modern. We were only there one night and checked in late and checked out early but will stay at this location on our future trips. The breakfast was a standard hot breakfast. The pancake maker was a unique twist. Everything was clean and orderly. The staff was friendly as well.

I was SO impressed by this hotel. I stayed there two nights for business. I encountered three four different front desk clerks during my time and all were so friendly even if I was just passing by. They were helpful and cheerful and very welcoming.The room attendant went above and beyond for me which made me feel like a valued guest. The breakfast attendant was also so friendly, checked to see how everything was, even cleared my plates when I know she doesnt have to!The entire hotel was very clean and decorated so nicely. The room is beautiful! I LOVE that there is full Direct TV with the ability to use the guide right on the TV which most hotels dont have! LOTS of places to charge things, a great desk to use, well lit, comfortable lounge chair, great bathroom...I just cant say enough about this hotel.If I ever come back to this area THIS will be the hotel I would stay in. I was only sad that I forgot my swim suit because the pool looked wonderful! Oh, love that a Holiday Inn Express even had a small work out room...a few cardio machines, set of weights, towels, water station, and TVs...perfect for my needs.Thanks for making this a great experience!

This my second time staying here within the month of July. The consistency in cleanliness along with awesome staff makes this property my number one choice in the Rochester Hills Area. The young man that checked me in was very friendly and welcoming. His professionalism and eagerness to keep a guest happy was nice to see. The breakfast lady was very welcoming as well. Her bright and energetic personality made coming down for breakfast more enjoyable. As for breakfast, the choices were immanent and catered to all kinds of guests. The room was big, welcoming and clean. Something I was pleased to walk into after a 9.5-hour drive from Ottawa. Now that I have family in the Rochester Hills area, I’ll surely be coming back to this property. I’d like to say thank you to all the staff members at the Holiday Inn in Rochester Hills for making my stay a pleasant and enjoyable one. See you all in the near future.
These are the nicest people ever. Too bad the hotel has cheap construction and walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors sneezing, showering and flushing their toilets. Such a bummer. We stayed for 4 night and the breakfast options get old. I wish they would add some variety like fresh fruit salad and potatoes.
The king size bed was comfortable and clean. Slept well. The room was spacious - nice kitchenette area. Would stay here again.
This was a newer Holiday Inn and was very clean and relaxing in the room. Breakfast had a lot of variety and I loved that they had turkey sausage -- might not seem like a big deal but it felt like they were looking to make everyone somewhat happy with the food options. the food service staff were extremely helpful and attentive. just an overall great experience!
Just an average hotel. I did think the huge shower was nice but there was a light in the room that I never figured out how to turn off. The room looked like it wasnt quite done being furnished. When I needed to leave in the middle of the night, I had a hard time getting the attention of the receptionist, others did too and I watched them walk away with food from the fridge with out paying because of it.
We truly enjoyed our stay!! My kids loved swimming, and working out in the Rec room, and we loved the breakfast! Judy, at breakfast was a sweetheart and we loved chatting with her in the mornings. Great place and worth the extra buck for a true continental breakfast. So many options!!!
I loved this hotel it was in a convenient location, close to shopping, near restaurants easy to find. My family and i have stayed in other hotels but this was was really nice and the room was very spacious. My only issue was the mattress was extra firm but once I got used to it it was good. I would definitely stay here again if were ever in this area.
My last stop at a Holiday Inn was when I was a kid and my folks took the family to a “motel with a swimming pool”. Imagine my surprise when the guests for my nephew’s wedding were booked at the Rochester MI Holiday Inn Express. From the moment we walked in the front door... everything was perfect. The room was spacious and very well designed with lots of nice little touches like extra space to hang purses, backpacks etc. Lighting was great - easy to locate and adjust. Great beds and 2 sets of pillows - firm
They had a really good breakfast😋. They served high quality food(s), which all tasted just great & was all very fresh too! -which is a very nice change from most hotel breakfast bars! (*+ Their items were NOT just a bunch of cheap bulk foods either👍🏽).The staff was very Friendly🤩; So overall it was a really nice vist. We would absolutely stay here again.*+ They are in a convenient location too- just off the freeway and located between/just behind several great stores...Including a Panera Bread, a Meijer & a Walmart! 🤗
The staff made this one of the nicest stays weve ever experienced in all our yrs of travel. Ease of checking in, to super clean room, to wonderful breakfast, to help with our route by the attendant made this a very relaxing time especially where we had never visited the area before.Judy in the breakfast area does an amazing job with a hot breakfast and runs a tight ship. Cindy our checkout person was so helpful in our travel plans going beyond the call of duty, and Kaylee the cleaning attendant had the room positively spotless. We couldnt have been more pleased and will highly recommend this Holiday Inn to everyone.
The spa room was amazing the bath was big enough for 2 which we really enjoyed. They had a crib for our smallest which was also nice. Only issue was the noise. I wouldnt go here to relax I was told I can pack my kids and up move rooms, instead of handling the issue at hand which was th noisey room up stairs.I had to call down 4x.Because of that situation and they way it was handled I dont think I could stay here again.The room layout was big and very comfortable.The bedroom itself was extremely clean.
Awesome lighting choices for the room. Large flat screen TV, very comfortable bed. One of the nicest Hotels I’ve stayed this past year, and I spend 75-100 nights in hotels per year. I will be back.
I give reviews based on 5 out of 10 being average and usually give scores of 5,6 or 7. This hotel deserves the 10s I gave it. Best was the outstanding breakfast! I also thought the exercise room and pool were very nice. Beds very comfortable and I loved the in room coffee maker.
In town for business, this hotel had a great environment on the inside, and the rooms were very large. Additionally, the rooms were very modern, and the lighting was awesome in the room. Additionally, the curtains that are hung in the room are great, must better than most hotel room windows, they actually keep all the light out of the room during the night! The only downside to the stay is the bedding could have used a pillow top; however, this should not deter you from staying. I come to the area often for business training, and will be staying here often!
The hotel location is great, but make sure you ask for a room on the side that does not face the highway. It sounds like the Indianapolis speedway is right outside the window. We did not sleep well during our 5 night stay as the noise never went away. The staff was very nice and the breakfast servers were super attentive. The hotel is in a great location - within walking distance to restaurants and Walmart.
Friendly staff. Very clean room. From the time of check in to check out, everything was magnificent. Very peaceful and relaxing environment. I was able to get work done, have a nice meal right in walking distance of the hotel, and sleep like a baby.
We had a great experience at this hotel. Mixed feelings giving out a 5 star because I hope they dont fill up next time were in town! Very clean, large, and updated room. The gathering area had tons of space and great for working on laptop. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
We have never stayed at a hotel for over 3 - 4 nights. This past stay was for nine nights. We were unsure how well we’d do. But, fortunately we were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked the room and our overall experience.Then down side, for me, was the quality of the free breakfast served. There were plenty of options, but very few healthy ones. I have a non-celiac gluten sensitivity, which made it a challenge to have breakfast here. The egg products had a ton of “fillers”. They weren’t REAL scrambled eggs. The sausage patties (both pork and turkey) also had fillers that made them NON-Gluten Free. Of course there was the standard toast, pancake batter, banana and apple options. I don’t consume a lot of fruit due to the high sugar content. I found some pre-packaged, processed oatmeal packets, so I had that every morning (fortunately they had some ground walnuts, raisins and honey I added to make it a decent option). Now, I realize hotels cannot conform to the minorities. However, the amount of people with Celiac’s or non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (like me) is on the rise, so I’m hoping that the future of FREE hotel breakfasts will improve over time. So, even though breakfast was included in the price of our stay, I wasnt able to fully take advantage of it.
I will use this hotel again and suggest to others. Heaters were noisy and made weird sounds but excellent friendly staff. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Free breakfast was good and had something for most tadtes but included healthy choices.
I was pleased with the service, the ample parking outside, the amount of nearby shopping that is available, and the breakfast that is provided for all of the guests. The room was quite large and the bed was massive for two people. The only complaint that I had was that the television wouldn’t allow me to change any channels and the remote didn’t work. Minor complaint for a big room at a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay here again.
The pool area was nice, the workout room was small however. Snack shop by the front desk if you have late night cravings. Good tavern within walking distance. The staff is also friendly. My only complaints are the pillows were extremely stiff and the sheets were incredibly itchy. Found it hard to sleep well.
From arriving to the hotel we were met with hospitality service and friendly greetings. Nice recommendations to local restaurants. Which we did check out and were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and very nice. Best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed in for awhile. I typically stay at holiday inns for the nice price range. This not only satisfied my price range but also room expectations
The overall hotel staff and facility was very courteous and clean. However, after 10 p.m. , the hotel was pretty loud with other members within their rooms with very thin wall that made it a bit difficult to sleep.
I spilled a glass of water on the bathroom floor the second day and wiped it up with a washcloth and the floor was filthy, the washcloth was black with dirt.I told someone at the front desk and left. When I got back the maintenance man came thinking I had spilled something on the carpet. Then Tammy called and I told her the bathroom floor was filthy and probably hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. She told me “no they are cleaned after every stay” and that it might be the grout and they would clean it. A few days later after housekeeping was there they never vacuumed the bathroom. Linda at the front desk was they only saving grace. She said she felt terrible and gave us a discount. She checked us in and out and was the most pleasant employee there.
Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. Swimming pool was clean but water was a bit on the cool side. Pool towels were not stocked 2 days in a row. Breakfast was good but not much variety as other Holiday Inn Expresses! Friendly staff!
We stayed here following a wedding in the area. We received a great deal and enjoyed our stay here. Check in/check out was quick and received a small kit from the bride/groom for our stay here. Our room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean hotel without the high price.
This hotel was very clean, accommodating to change room to handicap accessible from injury that occurred prior to stay. I would stay here again in a heart beat. The breakfast was wonderful. My picky daughter even found something to eat for breakfast.
The women in the breakfast area were phenomenal and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Also the cleaning lady was extremely nice and friendly.
When I had some noise problems with a guest, the staff tried to rectify the problem without success. She then offered to move me to a new room where it was quiet. The building seemed very new. I have never had noise transfer through the walls that easy. I am not sure if this is a construction problem or not, but it was very different from your other hotels. I hope they are not reducing sound deadening to cut costs. I stay at Holiday Inns a lot and enjoy the quiet.
Our room was on the second floor and we could hear the people in the room above us running/walking all night. The flooring either has very little padding or the insulation between floors is not sufficient. We couldnt use the pool because there appeared to be a childrens party going on. Not cool!! Not saying the kids cant have a party, but limit the time they can use the pool so other guests can enjoy it. Last thought...not a fan of the Cinnabon rolls!!! They were too big, gummy in texture and gritty frosting. Bring back the old cinnamon rolls!!! On a positive note, the entire facility was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast choices were very good.
We have stayed at this property in the past. The location is perfect with easily accessible highways and shopping areas. The hotel is new and updated. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and bright. This hotel has a pool which is a plus. The breakfast goes on until noon on the weekends and is full of variety and very satisfying.
Could not have asked for a more perfect stay! Avoid the downtown traffic and stay here! The hotel is only a year old and still has that new smell to it. The rooms were very modern and large enough where I didnt feel cramped. Internet service was fast and reliable. The staff was friendly and greeted my party every time we entered and exited the property. As a frequent traveler, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Will stay here again! If you like friendly people and great other guests, you will love it at this hotel. Breakfasts are wonderful and Judy the lady that prepares breakfast. She can make you smile in the morning and she takes pride in her job. Most everyone amazing. Thak you again.
It was great and the breakfast was awesome. Friendly staff and very clean. Easy access to restaurants and walmart.
I did not expect but I was delighted with the new, open floor space in the room with light finished, modern furniture and ample LED lighting. Of course, the beds are as comfortable as ever. The open space of the breakfast area was easy to navigate and did not feel crowded and the variety of food choices was excellent.
Had some issues with the TV in the room and connecting to the wifi, but the staff worked with me on resolving the issues.Bed was more firm than I prefer.Pillows were all soft vs soft and firm listing on the pillowcase.Room was spacious. Every seating surface was very firm, probably for durability.
Great Breakfast until CoVoid and had to close due to the Gov Witmere made them close indoor dining, which was a mistake. Great friendly Staff. Will stay again when in town. Next to the Grand Travern which has great take out.
Staff is great in every way no complaints there. The building itself and location is not good. The rooms on the highway side of the building are incredibly loud because of traffic 24/7. Sound insulation between room is equally poor. Expect to hear every word from the next room, people walking around above you and in the hallway. I had to change rooms on my third night because of an inconsiderate businessman making phone calls all night in the next room.
The room next to us (we were told on check-out) that there were a wedding party at the hotel and they were extremely LOUD, didnt go to bed until after 1:00 am and then they proceeded to turn on the TV at 3:30 am LOUDLY. Didnt get hardly any sleep at all that night.
Although the bed and room were nice, the amount of noise I could hear from the hallway and from the room above me even with the heater running was too loud for a comfortable night of sleep. The staff was great though and was accommodating to my need of early (6:30am) checkout and need for breakfast before regular service hours. This was much appreciated.
The hotel from the outside to inside was clean and very well put together. Once in our Spa room suite, the room was very nice. A few stains on the couch and black particles that came out of the spa jets when turned on.
I recently spent a Monday-Friday week here on business travel. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. Breakfast items were better than most places and spotlessly clean.The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable, linens were fresh, like new.The hotel is well located with easy access off the interstate and there are several restaurants located within the loop, one within walking distance.
Good clean hotel. They take Covid seriously. I wish I did not have to travel, but I do for work. No other location Ive been to has taken the relatively simple steps this location has to make me feel more comfortable with being out during a pandemic.

I usually stay at other brands but have been disappointed so tried Holiday Inn - I was pleasantly surprised! Super clean and automated pancake machine made the best pancakes!
The location is very nice, there is an excellent restaurant 30 seconds away on foot, and the staff is great. The rooms seem to be slightly small, but that is just nitpicking. The bathrooms are very well kept, along with the rest of the hotel. It was a great stay.
Overall hotel room was clean and spacious. Bath tub looked like it hadnt been cleaned, and that someone had used that morning and no one cleaned the tub. Besides that great stay and price
Wonderful service upon arrival, along with given the option of choosing which floor Id prefer. The room was newly renovated and everything was very clean which was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail was there with numerous outlets available, along with a clean and open desk space in the room for work. The price reflects the new updates, therefore isnt a great value, but certainly would still recommend to others and would stay in the future.
This hotel was chosen because it was closest to the facility I was working in for two weeks, and it turned out to be pleasantly surprising. Clean, tidy, comfortable room, with decent breakfast and polite staff. Internet was a bit spotty, but better than in some other hotels.

Im a Spire Elite member, and always enjoy my stay at Rochester Hills, HIE. All the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have a great start to my day when I see Debbie and Judy in the Breakfast Area. They are always wearing a friendly smile, and they do an excellent job of having breakfast items always filled, professional looking, and clean. They are always right there to ask how breakfast was, and to take my finished items away. They always wish me a great day as I leave too.When I see an item that may need maintenance the staff is always happy I said something, and it gets fixed promptly.They strive to make sure the whole area is kept clean and neat.

I stayed one night for business in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! I stayed in a suite - it included a micro kitchen, more than enough for one night. My room was big, the rooms well lit, there were power and USB plugs everywhere. The entertainment was provided by DirectTV - I I already knew all the channel numbers. Overall I was shocked. (pleasantly)I look forward to either traveling here again for business or using Holiday Inn Express for personal vacation travel later this summer. I dont think Ive come home from a business trip before telling my wife how nice the hotel was.
Nice place, was very clean and simple. I was initially charged for 2 rooms due to an online booking error which was taken care of by staff at check in. The traffic was a little noisy at night which effected me sleep. Nice stay over all. Would have been better if the wife and I were not arguing.
I bought a room for two nights off Priceline. I called to make sure my reservation was solid. I got there and I obviously offended or insulted the man behind the front desk because not only would he not give me a room... or a refund... he told me I could call Priceline or wait for the police.
I booked for business reasons due to the location this was the best choice. I am very pleased with everything about this hotel. If they are all like this i may have to take a vacation and use my points, which i have never done. From the styling and amenities to the comfort level due to sound and light proofing, its better than my home! I wont stay anywhere else.
I went to this location because I was visiting family. We stayed for a week and the whole time we had great service and all of the staff was friendly. The only issues I came across was the laundry dryer was very loud which they had a repairman coming to fix and also the information on the television screen in the lobby regarding things to do in the area was not up to date. They apologized for both issues and guaranteed that it will be taken care of very soon. All in all we had a wonderful time and those things were small and we did not sweat them. I will be returning this summer for a wedding and I will stay at this location again.

2022-04-27We booked several rooms at this hotel and had nothing but an amazing experience. First, the hotel was very clean which these days is a main concern. The staff are friendly and accommodating for anything we needed. We must mention Troy the general manager that really take his job seriously. He’s absolutely the reason that the hotel function like that. Rooms are big enough. Breakfast was great. Will highly recommend this hotel and definitely be back

2021-12-16We booked a king suite with a jacuzzi for our anniversary, and we had a wonderful staycation. Our plans changed several times, however Troy, the DM, was more than accommodating updating our reservation multiple times. Very grateful! The room was spacious, the bathroom was beautiful and clean, bed & linen clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. 2 things to mention: there were weird stains on seating of the pullout couch & the microwave plate would not rotate (not a huge deal). Overall - a beautiful NEEDED time away and we experienced amazing staff. Thank you and we will be back soon!

2022-02-23Last minute arrangements necessitated by a family emergency and I could not have landed in a better place. Clean, comfortable, well appointed room with ample plug in and desk space, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Though I did not use the gym or the pool, both areas seemed well maintained.After driving 13 hours, I had a late check in and Mo (sp?) at the desk didnt blink when I asked to be moved to an upper floor. While I was impressed with the cleanliness and smartness of the accommodations, much more important was the kindness and efficiency shown by the staff. From Karen in housekeeping to Judy in the breakfast area, everyone was on their game. The manager, Troy, was outstanding as my situation kept changing. Always a smile and a kind word. He consistently credited his team with any positive feedback he received about the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

2022-03-26Awesome hotel. Stayed 3 nights using free reward nights and hotel staff (Troy) very pleasant and accommodating. Arranged our stay so we didn’t have to change rooms. Plus we checked in late and still had a fantastic room. Bed was comfortable, room clean, breakfast as expected but perfect for us. Will DEFINITELY stay here again. Much better than other local IHG hotels we have stayed at in this area. (Not that others were bad, this one was just better)

2022-04-14Nice stay. It was only one night but it was just fine. Breakfast was very good, staff helpful and friendly. My only complaint was the water pressure on the 3rd floor was a bit weak. Not a big deal but worth noting.

2022-06-29Been staying here at least three times a month for the past 5 years. Slow decline is the best way to put it. The rooms are rarely what I would consider “clean”. Mini refers in the room cool to a low of 45. Breakfast is no longer warm food like other competitors in the area. Yogurt and bagels here. No longer stocking any snacks at the front desk. Reception greeters are lackluster, glued to phones, they get to you when they can…..

2022-02-25Very difficult to review. The staff was friendly, the pool was nice and the common areas were clean, but in our room was gross. We found several pubic hairs on sink,floor,towels and shower. Finally, sounded like construction in the room above us ALL NIGHT. We were not very happy.

2022-03-04Its like tent camping next to someone, you hear everything. Management stacks guests next to each other, on the same floors to cut expenses no matter how empty they are. I voiced my complaints only to hear maybe we can give you a discount!!! I wanted a good nights sleep, I was staying for 5 nights for work. No smart TVs, so no streaming...and rooms are very dormitory like. All window shades are crumpled at the corners, trash around the building outside. Dont stay here!
