Holiday Market in other cities:
They have THE best carrot cake however I am very disappointed that they have not been accepting cake orders. My whole family loves the cake so on birthdays I try order one and am told that they dont accept orders (for whatever the reason is at that time). So I have to go to the store and pray they have a carrot cake in the case. I have been disappointed more than once :( My twins are turning 21 this weekend and tried to order a cake for them and was told, again, thatthey arent accepting orders. Its very disappointing.
This place rocks the staff is great Some customers however give you that what are you doing in our secret always stocked with everything that Meijer and Walmart for some reason never have . This is the proof there is a controlled distribution plan of great food to the upper class citizen and mediocre food to the middle lower class.
They have everything you want or need at the Holiday Market. All products are fresh ,they give you such a huge choice of products. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The store is so clean and well stocked. This Market is great and I highly recommend it.
Holiday Market is the place to go if you are looking for a specific item or want to get ideas for a dinner party. First, make sure you grab a cart. Great selection of veggies. The bakery is fabulous as they have usually two sizes of each of their cakes; family size and cant blow my Noom diet size. For local products they have a great variety. Sanders products galore! Not many retailers carry their chocolate peanut block. Their liquor selection is quite good as well. Looking for Tony Packos pickles? They have them.
I used to shop there 4 or 5 days a week. Quality of the deli food has gone way down. I get the labor shortage we all experience that but not worth the extra money anymore. I no longer consider it a specialty market. The last 3 times I was there very disappointed in the taste and quality. Moving on.
Nice market BUT HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY UNFRIENDLY STAFF who don’t want to help. At least that’s my experience EVERY time I have visited this store. My husband had the same vibe. Last time I went I asked 3 different employees where an item is and If they can help me find it, the look on their face was like really? The flower department is never there to help as well. Last time I had to wait 30 min for someone to come help me! No more. Whole Foods and Traders Joe are by far the best markets and been round. The staff every time I go there is so kind friendly and fun. They actually talk to you and smile and want to HELP. Cantoro Italian Market is amazing too and has lot of authentic items you wouldn’t find other places. The girl at the coffee station when they had coffee available was rude that I had to get manager. Just not a good all round experience! Maybe spend more time educating your staff on how to be professional and friendly instead of defending them. Your in business because of CUSTOMERS just something to think about suka
This place will sell you rotten wine with a broken cork seal that turned into vinegar after years on the shelf and then refuse to return your money. Management doesnt understand customer service or know anything about wine. Dont spend your money at this type of business, they clearly dont care about their customers.
This is one of the best local stores in the neighborhood, they have wide variety of organic produce section, the produce is really fresh. They also have a wide variety of deli meats, cheeses and bakery section. Their select of meet is quiet wast as well, the customer care is always exceptional. Highly recommend a visit all my visits have been pleasant.Ps: they have quiet a selection of beers wines and liquor. You won’t be disappointed.
I love this store! You want it, they have it. Quality all the way. They carry a fantastic selection of quality items that you wont find in a lot of other stores. The wine selection is one of the best Ive ever seen in a grocery store, and they have someone on staff to answer your wine questions. I highly recommend Holiday Market.
I have never lived very close, but go often. It is absolutely the best market I have ever shopped. I was reading reviews (distracted myself) and could not contain my disgust. It appears the owners read the reviews, or at least someone does, and that is the reason I’m leaving this. I applaud you for standing up for your employees, and yourself! I’ve always felt that the customer is not always right. Sometimes they deserve it, sometimes they weren’t slighted at all. It doesn’t matter where you go or what project you’re engaged in, there are always those few. They don’t know how to gauge a rating, whether it be a situation, person, or service. They look at everything from the back of the lens, never seeing outward. Hence, selfishness, often to the point of cruelty. Kudos to you!
Holiday Market is pretty much the glue that holds Canton together in my opinion. The absolutely astounding amount of variety in food and drink types is bound to make anyone of any ethnic, culture, allergy group happy. Everything always of the highest quality. The bread and the desserts that the bakery makes are to die for, and the deli counters are always top notch. I dont drink alcohol very much, so you should probably go yourself and decide, but they have an amazing selection of beers, wines, liquor, and whatever else you might want. Overall, this place is better than anything that ford road might have to offer, and should be your grocery stop if youre in the area
Fantastic grocery store with a great selection, excellent produce and lots of hard to find specialty products. Their butcher counter is really top notch and they have a downright amazing selection of sausages. Their beer section also deserves a shout out as the variety is incredible. My only complaint is the cramped aisles that are a little claustrophobic and hard to navigate. Overall though its a great place to shop.
No more free coffee. Or cheese samples. Why take coffee away ? Do not tell me Corona . It was gone well before that and the cheese. Why would I pay premium prices and pay for coffee ? I can go anywhere lower prices. Holiday does have a lot of items other grocery stores dont . And they do have a great beer and wine selection. The fresh seat food is great and meat. Three stars are for thing super high prices on every day groceries same as Kroger items twice the price.
Pass this place all the time but only went in for the first time recently. The store is very nice and clean. They have an excellent selection of craft beer and wine and champagne. You may pay a little more here for groceries than at some other stores but you will almost certainly leave with whatever was on your wish list.
Great selection,, however, staff is extremely rude in all departments except for the meat department. Staff in the bakery routinely stand around talking while customers are clearly waiting. Training in customer service is sorely needed for these employees.Store closes at 8PM every day, very inconvenient. Couldnt be bothered to post Labor Day hours on their website (closed at 5PM), cashier was insulting as we checked out at 4:55 that she should be out of there already if it wasnt for customers like us. If you dont want business, you should close your shop permanently.
Used to enjoy this store & count on quality. However the produce dept has gone severely downhill and prices do not support quality of the items. Kroger now has a better produce dept than Holiday Market. Bakery items are 50/50 chance of staleness. Meat Dept remains excellent (reason for 3rd star). Even during COVID in 2020, the store was excellently maintained. But now only stop to shop for the meat dept, a few odds/ends otherwise running to other stores for the majority. Holiday Market used to be our one stop place with a top shopping experience but not any longer which is truly a shame.
If your looking for multi-cultural groceries, I would highly recommend this if your In the area. They have stuff you cant get without going to specialty markets, as well as more traditional groceries. Lots of fresh food and a deli as well. Highly recommend to come check it out.
I tried to order a cake from the bakery after 3pm and was told that the store policy is to not take any cake orders after 3 because of staffing shortage which I completely understand. My only problem was that there was 5 ppl in the bakery standing around talking and I was the only customer at the counter. In my opinion that’s a policy that could/should be more fluid based on customer flow because money walked out of the door while 5 workers were standing around doing absolutely nothing.
Wonderful store! I was asked multiple times if I needed help. Their craft beer selection is the best in the area. I appreciate the staff member there who asked if I needed assistance while browsing the goses and IPAs. Really personalized experience! I’m a big fan of their cheese selection also. Love this market!
The cake I ordered looked amazing. But tasted disgusting. Paid $60 got a cake that no one would eat at the party not even my child who’s birthday it was. The managers of the store were rude and told me there was nothing they could do because they take time and money to make the cakes. Well I spend $60 for no one to even eat the cake!
The gold standard for high-end grocery stores. Can you get the regular needs? Of course. But you really want to go here for the great quality in the produce, deli, bakery, meat departments and for the great selection of products. One of the best beer and wine selections youll find in a grocery store, too. If youre asking how the cost compares to other stores, youre probably not interested in going here. Youre going to pay more for most things, minus weekly sales naturally, but if youre looking for more specialty products or youre ok with a few extra bucks on the trip, go here. You wont be disappointed...and prepare to come out with a few extra items you cant help but try because youve never seen them before.
Avoid the meat department. Three times in the past year, Ive paid $100 for 2 steaks, and the meat has been sub-par, they used to have good meat. I just cooked a couple porterhouses to perfection on the grill, only to cut into them and find a totally dry and almost flavorless. Are they sourcing from Walmart?Store prices are expensive, but there is generally a good selection of products compared to other stores in the region. If you need help, theres usually a group of managers talking to each other over in produce, staff is always very helpful.
Don’t bother. I was happy to find this store for the delicious pre-made salads and sandwiches. Now their shelves are bare and they’ve put up signs that say Because of staffing issues and the availability of ingredients they are not able to offer pre-made selections. I don’t see Kroger or Busch’s’s having those issues. I’ll be shopping where they ghave what I need.
My/our first time stopping at this store and I liked it. It reminded me of Trader Joes meets Whole Foods squeezed into this Kroger sized building😆 which isnt big enough to accommodate a lot of customers especially at the Deli. It has a variety of products from around the world, but too little of Mexican products that Id like to buy. Its definitely busy so be prepared to drive your shopping cart with care. The prices are a bit bougie for me, but to each their own. I lost my cell phone somewhere in the parking lot or inside the store and thought it was gone forever! As soon as I got home, there was a voicemail on the home phone from my cell # that my phone was found! Thank God for the individual who found it and the employee who called me. I will go back and try their fried chicken when there arent 100 people waiting!😂
My favorite grocery store - not just because it’s right next to my house! HM offers a large selection of artisan cheeses and the largest selection of wine you can get probably in the entire state, with lots of signs detailing notes about the flavours. The bakery makes the best cookies and cakes, they’re delicious.
BEWARE....DO NOT SHOP THIS LOCATION!!!Hostile EMPLOYEES ATTACK/FIGHT CUSTOMERS & THE BEHAVIOR IS TOLERATED BY OWNER LISA H.!!!I recently called to order a cake and was told orders are only taken in the store. The same evening I went into the store to order a cake I approached the counter at 7:20 pm someone was taking an order for a cake. After I waited to place my order, I was told they stop taking cake orders at 7:30pm. I explained that I just called and it was an inconvenience to not be informed of that on the phone. The time was 7:26pm. The Bakery Supervisor Felicia opened an all out VERBAL ATTACK on me, yelling and screaming across the store in addition to beating on and throwing pans acrossed the bakery. She said it is an inconvenience for customers to come in here while we are getting ready to close, we are overworked and underpaid. I responded it is no fault of your customers and requested a manager. She created such a disturbance that customers began LEAVING the store. Thankfully, two customers came to my aid explaining to Felicia and management her behavior was inexcusable, rude and abusive! No customer, family member or stranger even during covid should EVER have to experience this level of abuse. When contacted by the OWNER of the store, LISA. I was asked no questions. Just told Felicia had a moment and as owner of the store they owed me NOTHING, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY for Felicias meltdown and verbal attack. Appalling! Holiday Market clearly has created a hostile work environment and an UNSAFE environment for customers. Clearly, this behavior is tolerated amongst employees and management. Management is unconcerned that it affects their customers. The experience was truly scary and disappointing! The disturbance was so bad customers began leaving the store and I was left trembling from the attack! I do NOT support mistreatment of anyone black, brown or other nor poor customer service on any level, especially businesses that support ABUSE and fail to value their customers.
I love this place. If youre looking for gluten free and special diets, this is the place for you. The single largest gluten free selection, both frozen and pantry, of any other store Ive been to. Also, their meat counter is good. Nice people and not at all more expensive than the pre-packaged meats youd buy elsewhere. Only complaints are how crowded they get with only 2-3 registers usually open at a time, and how their carts are way oversized for their store. The aisles are narrow and you can usually only fit one cart per aisle at a time. Still not enough to stop me from shopping here!
I love this place. Everything is exceptional. They have the best cakes and do an awesome job for special cake orders. The cheese selection is wonderful. They also prepare beautiful cheese/grazing platters if you order in advance. I highly recommend, they make such a beautiful and elegant gift! The coffee shop makes great coffee to enjoy while youre shopping. The selection of seasonal and special fruits and vegetables is also top notch. Its always nice to browse the produce to see whats new. Their deli has delicious prepared food and the store prepared raw pizza dough is so good if you like to have pizza nights at home. Lots of international food gems to discover thought the store. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. Keep up the excellent work.
I love holiday market! So many unique items, fresh food, produce, excellent wine selection and great customer service! They also are taking covid precautions seriously. Last week I used their bakery for the first time to make a baby yoda cake for my son’s fifth birthday. We only needed a small cake but they made it look special! My son loved it and was excited about it! It tasted great to! I will be returning next month for my son’s third birthday. Thanks for putting a smile on my son’s face!
I would give 10 stars if I could. This business is so good to us whenever we shop here and the selection is unbeatable, all high quality foods and such a variety. I used their curbside pick-up for a gift and the person doing the pick up picked out a special item he said that was somewhat exclusive to their store and I was so grateful I had to leave a review. Way more than I could have asked for and Im so happy with all of my purchases here.
Amazing selection of everything, especially the fresh meat section. If you cant find it here, you cant find it anywhere. Also, specialty items and smaller sizes of items because not all of us want to buy in bulk. Huge selection of craft beers, and the wine and alcohol selections are great. 😍
Okay I just want to say that this has been, by far- my best in-person grocery store experience! The outer areas that articles tell you to stick to are AMAZINGI want to go back, their wall of cheese and their meat and bread section are what I imagine Heaven to look and smell like...I wan to try that Deli counter on my next trip
Love, love, love this store. Ive been coming here for around 20 years and Im always pleased with the employees and groceries. Great produce and a wide selection of specialty cheeses, great deli and meat counter. Tons of salads made on the premises, my favourite is the mustard potato salad. They make their own bread and rolls, delicious! They also carry a lot of imported items as on oils, vinegars, etc that you dont find everywhere. I was there today and they had pizza from Traverse City, along with pizza dough, pizza sauce and pizza dough. Now where do you ever see that. Their wine and beer selection is excellent. If youre in the neighborhood stop in.
It earns a reputation of a high end grocery store. They offer a wide variety of fresh produce, poultry, meats, bakery and have a ready to eat section and my favorite is the chocolate and coffee section. I love their bakery!! So many options and all taste fantastic. I am a fan of their black forest cake and their pies. My son loves their cupcakes. Its a bit pricy but makes do for special occasions. I only go to Holiday Market for their bakery products and meats.
I am a customer at this store for different items. However this review is regarding the recent cake order I placed for my son’s birthday. I don’t recommend to place a custom order and pay $50 almost for a cake that is not worth more than $10. I had a sample and I liked the taste and I agreed I want that kind of cake. They made it different. Secondly the filling was just 1 row instead of 2 rows and the lady who took my order didn’t explain that. The outside they made pretty much what I asked but not with frosting just whip cream which started to fall apart by the time I got home(30 min). Also the lady who helped me needed help herself and I had to wait extra 20 min until she found my order and I was in a rush.I ate delicious cakes from holiday market in the past and only payed $22-$35. I was disappointed with this cake.
My parents live in Canton and as such, I tend to shop at Holiday Market while staying with them. Holiday Market is pricier than other options in the area but its wide assortment of foods and quality of foods makes the price worth it. The Produce Section is large and well-stocked and the fruits and vegetables are consistently fresh. The Market contains both well-known and lesser-known brands, all of which are high-quality. The Deli contains a wide assortment of Cold Foods that are tasty. Prepared Hot Foods located near the Deli are a favorite of my family and I. The Market Bakery is also worth a visit, albeit for a small treat for yourself or for a cake. As an international traveler I am impressed by the Store’s large amount of ethnic foods and brands. For instance, I was delightfully surprised when I saw Tyskie, a beer I recently tried in Poland, available in six-pack quantities. There is definitely something for everyone!
Everything I ever need is here. You will pay a premium to shop here, but its worth it. Excellent bakery, deli, butcher, beer and wine selection, produce, as well as supporting many Michigan made products. The employees seem happy, it is expertly stocked and displays are inviting. The whole place feels like they care about what they sell, and it makes a difference, I always spend more than I intended. I much prefer this store to Buschs down the street, which is just not as inviting and feels more corporate.
In my opinion, this is a high-end market. The fruit & vegetable quality is fantastic. The prepared meals and desserts are delicious. The alcohol selection is huge. The prices are high, but it seems reasonable for the higher quality. We come here to treat ourselves and to prepare for special occasions.
This review is in reference to a meat purchase and does not reflect my opinion of the store in general. I purchased a Chairman’s Reserve Rump Roast from the fresh meat counter. The price per pound was $15.99 and the total price was $56.76. I would expect good quality meat for that price but what I got was the toughest, most difficult to chew meat I’ve ever had. I served it for a family dinner and we ended up throwing it away because we could not even chew it. I called the meat department to see if there was anything they would do to either replace it or compensate for the wasted $56.76 I had spent. I was advised that they only guarantee meat for 48 hours and that since I had frozen the roast, that negated any guarantee. I know I’m not the only person who freezes meat and I’ve personally never experienced meat becoming inedible due to freezing. So, I’m making this a PSA for anyone who purchases meat at Holiday Market to be advised of their policy. I would not want to see anyone else waste their money like I did.
This is store I go when I have to buy a few things. Most items are overpriced. I used to buy bread here but since Buschs opened I can get better bread at Buschs. Hot foods are good. I have not had any issues with the staff generally but the owner John and his assistant Dan have attitudes that need rearrangement. Maybe too late as both appear to be near retirement. With so many other great stores in Canton I am finding that there are fewer reasons to shop here.
One of my favorite place to get a cake. For birthdays or just like that. The flavor and texture is awesome. They definitely use quality ingredients. The produce and groceries are fresh and good too. Little above average price.Staff- friendly and always happy. Shows how the management treats them.
Holiday Market is the absolute best specialty grocery store! They have an amazing bakery that theyre always adding new things to, such as their cake-batter macaroons. They have a fantastic deli, with the best rotisserie chickens Ive ever had. Its impossible to leave with buying something delicious!
I cant stress enough how much I love this place. The only problem is I could go in there for one thing and walk out with $100 worth of groceries very easily. The store is immaculate the employees are all very helpful and kind. Everything is fresh and they have so much stuff that no one else does they you can even make your own peanut butter. The butcher is one of the most amazing things Ive seen all the different types of meat that you have to pick from, the bakery OMG dont even get me started. You have to go there at least once then youll be hooked
We will NEVER be back to this store to shop ever again !! I special ordered cannoli’s for my sons birthday party at school , I picked up the order yesterday only to find out the order was completely wrong ! I spoke with the bakery on the phone they assured me the order would be corrected and ready for pick up at 8am the next morning. When my husband arrived at 8am they had not even started on the order !! He had to wait another 45 minutes for them to finish the order meanwhile , Britany that works in a bakery lectured my husband on how if he had went to “ pastry school “ he would know that the order was correct the first time. He asked to speak to the manager, when Dan came out he rudely informed him that we would have to pay for both orders, even though it was clearly their mistake. They have lost a lifelong customer today !
Wonderful and unique upscale food choices.Deli, bakery, salad bar and fresh meat counter choices are wonderful and unique.Excellent variety of cheeses, breads, coffee bar, wines, fresh flowers and wide variety of alcohol beverages.I truly love Holiday Market in Canton...for many years now!
My mom shopped at Holidays for over 15 years. She loved the red, white and blue bread. When I planned her 90th birthday party, I asked for ONE item from each of the businesses she had patronized for years, to be given as surprise gifts to the attendees and give a shout out to those businesses.I asked the OWNER of the Canton Holiday Market for ONE loaf of that bread. She flatly refused with the explanation that they would have to do that for every customer who asked for something if they did it for my mom. I lost respect for the owner at that point. Holidays was the ONLY business that did not participate, by the way. The market itself is a relaxing place to purchase some unique and tasty items.
My favorite grocery store. Excellent selection and good prices. Quality is high. The butcher counter has a wide selection as well as house made items like smoked sausages and burgers. The quality of the meat is higher than any other grocery store around. The bakery does custom cakes and pies of all varieties for a decent price. They an imported bread oven and have their own fresh baked bread daily. I recommend the sesame semolina bread.Prices are slightly higher but that reflects the quality of the items offered.Highly recommended.
A great place to shop - especially for high end or uncommon items. I love their bakery - my favorite for baguette. Their deli section has every variety of cheese known to man (it seems that way, anyway). Their beer aisle is well stocked with many different brands and varieties - including a dedicated walk-in cooler section. Their wine and liquor sections are equally well stocked and appointed. Meat counter is second to none. And they have all that standard fare mixed in with MANY delightful surprises on the shelves throughout the store. Why not 5 stars? Produce. Dont get me wrong: they have a well stocked produce section - it just doesnt hold up. Produce purchased at Holiday Market just doesnt keep. I will only buy produce I need right that minute from them because of this. Oh, and their version of Sanders Bumpy Cake really sucks - they really need to rethink the frosting (their filling for the bumps is... well: its nasty. Not at all like the original) or drop it from their line-up. Blech!
This place actually makes me enjoy grocery shopping! The staff is knowledgeable and they remember you and what you like! Their coffee can be custom roasted and is as good or better than many at a significantly higher price, their freshly baked bread puts most other places to shame and their custom birthday cakes (with mousse filling) are always a huge hit!
My favorite local grocery store in Canton. They have an excellent bakery, produce and cheese selection. They also have a great new cafe, excellent wine and beer selections along with a ton of local and Michigan goods. Always fun to stop on and see whats new at the store
Edit: Im increasing the review from a 2 to a 4 star. Im increasing to 4 stars because I been coming here more often.I just love being able to buy individual dinners and individually portioned out pieces of turkey and chicken ect. I think the ~25% markup is still a issue and I do understand they are a small business with much higher overhead. However, Im willing largely look over that detail because of the nice selection of products. They are also one of the few stores that seemed to have no issues with meat and bakery goods as well as normal shelf items during the covid-19 pandemic.I had mentioned in my original review that the store has a lot of Nice specialty products that you cant find in metro Detroit and I still love that aspect of this store. Ive been giving the store a few more chances since my initial problems with it. This store is kind of growing on me
It was 4 stars plus. First time to this Holiday. Very familiar with Royal Oak location. I was very pleasantly surprised. Much grander than its sister store. I will make it my store of choice even though its a tough 20 minutes away. Lots of stuff for all palates. Except they do not have the smoked brisket
They have good food here but the prices are very high. My mom and I were looking at this small pack of blueberries and strawberries for like 5 or 6 dollars. I can make this same thing at home for like 2 or 3 dollars. Other than the prices though, this is a good place to visit.
This place has everything you need. The meat and seafood counters have everything you could ask for in Michigan. Prime cuts of meats to fresh fish. Prices are definitely a bit more than a national store but you absolutely get what you for, quality! They normally have a wine expert on staff if youre looking for a particular bottle. If youre looking for unique items, you will likely find it here!
This is a great family owned grocery store. They have a great bakery with everything made fresh. The deli counter is awesome. The meat/chicken/seafood counter is awesome too. The wine selection is to die for and the man who runs it knows his stuff. This is a must shop at store.
My shopping experience with Holiday Market warmed my heart. They came through for us with curbside pick-up which allowed us the opportunity to minimize our exposure to people in the store. Just like most everyone, we are trying to follow the CDC guidelines. The store rallied around the circumstances, came up with a plan to follow to best service their customers and came through with their products. Thank you to the Holiday Market owners and staff. You make a great team!
I got everything I needed. Their produce is the best. They have the best selection of cheeses. They have an olive bar thats great. Excellent meats, bakery items and a lot more. Its almost fun to browse there. My only concern is the narrow isles are difficult to maneuver in an electric shopping cart which I temporarily need to use. They do have the carts available, you just have to go slow and watch the corners. They have Spartan foods. It is a little high end for some stuff, but great shopping in general.
The bakery cupcakes taste amazing!! The pies dont look real!! We were like kids in a candy store in the whole place!! We bought cheese from all around the world. We bought a chicken pot pie that tasted awesome! We bought brawts, pickles and so much more stuff! The staff was very helpful and I cant wait to go back!!!
One of my favorite grocery stores! I shop here for more specialty items than a full grocery run. They have a HUGE selection of salads/deli items, breads, meats and bakery items. Holiday Market has the biggest selection of beer, wine and liquor around. They will special order items too.If I need a quick lunch I like to run in and use the salad bar or they have fresh food (made in store) packed in single servings back by the deli. They have a little coffee shop as well, but Ive never purchased anything there. The staff is always so friendly and helpful! Highly recommend you stop by!
I ordered a turkey breast and picked up on thanksgiving morning I was told the the cost is $28. It would set 3 adults and 1 child however when I picked it up it was $53. What was I to do So I paid and reheated as told and was very tough to eat the guest agreed I threw it out I learned my lesson regarding ordering cooked food Luckily I had a credit card to pay big difference
This market has everything you can think of. I fell in love with this market the first time I walk through. They are expensive but most definitely worth it. Fresh everything. Wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruit and meats. They even have a salad bar, sushi bar, cooked food, and huge bakery. They sell fresh pop corn which comes in assorted flavors and have an concession stand with hot dogs and other snacks. Something that I really enjoy is there check out lines, majority of the lanes are open with real friendly staff and they dont have self check-out which is a plus in my book. They also sell beer, wine and I believe liquor. Dont quote me on the liquor.
Neat store, but be careful of mold. Second time shopping there and a deli item was moldy upon opening even though expiration is nearly 4 weeks out. I called to see what could be done, and they told me I had to bring it back which is like a 15 minute drive for me. When I asked if they had to see it, the guy on the phone told me it would work out for me in the long run....I found it a little arrogant to tell me driving all the way back to the store was in my best interest when issue is a result of the stores error.
The wine and beer selections are incredibly varied and a saving grace, if thats what youre shopping for. Lots of international grocery items. Vegan/vegetarian and specialty options are small and what they do have its ridiculously overpriced, which is actually true of the entire store. These last two bring my rating from 4 stars to 3.
This location is pretty awesome. Would of given it 5 stars, but Ive run into some racism, so I cant. I love the variety they offer and their fruit and veggie guy rocks! Hes super helpful and very knowledgeable. I wish they had a better hot food bar like the Royal Oak location, but other than that. Ill continue shopping there.
I love Holiday Market. They carry so many items that are difficult to find. The beer and wine selection is fantastic, and associates are so knowledgeable and friendly. I also love how you can buy spices by weight from the meat counter. Lastly, the store is staffed so that I seldom have to wait in line to checkout
Had the opportunity to purchase agin their Prime rib for XMas eve party. When i picked up my roast I did not check to make sure it was what I ordered as I have purchased the same roast last year and it was great. When i got home i realized they gave me bone in when i had ordered boneless. I called and they said they would make it right for no additional charge as they looked me up and confirmed I did order boneless. This could have went a whole different way but the Meat department manager made sure my experience was top notch... These guys are great.
You know it’s a guaranteed good time when you go into a store with its own bakery with 8+ employees for that section alone. The desserts are incredible; I’ve driven almost two hours to pick up a cake there before. There’s an olive bar that’s literally 20 feet long. I can’t believe the amazing selection of every single product they offer. I could literally live here.
We absolutely love Holiday. The store is always clean, the staff is typically friendly, and the food selection is great. In particular we go for the olive bar, and the fantastic selection of beers, wines, and spirits. We always find something new to try. Its also nice that there are employees knowledgeable about each specific area of the store and the offerings of that area.
This is a great supermarket with alot of options. If you need a dinner they have a whole section of premade dinners, if you need dessert same thing. The deli and meat sections are awesome. Have a wide variety of beers and wines. A great place to shop. The only complaint I have is the prices are pretty high. but remember you get what you pay for.
I like to go there, the selection is always great. I didnt appreciate it though there was an old man in there no mask no gloves sneezing and coughing all over his hand and then handling the groceries. A lot of the customers werent wearing masks and most people that wear masks dont appreciate that. If you try to get in to Menards without a mask, theyll turn you away. That should be the same policy of Holiday Market
Omg some of the best meats i have ever had i cannot eat steak anywhere else (for now) just keep up the good work the only problem i had was the meat counter personal not bad but quth so many people behind the counter and not many customers i felt rushed every 10 seconds can i help you from behind the counter which isant bad but i would have liked to look at the variety and quality of your meat without having to say give me a min or just one sec five or six times while im standind in the same spot dexiding what i want but over all excellent staff and meats.
I love this market. During these trying times we were able to order food by sending an e-mail for the items we needed and they filled the order the next day for pick up. No wait and everything on our order was there. Please call them for times and further instruction. I gave them a five star rating. Thank you to their team!
Specialty market. Great selection of produce, meats, cheeses, etc. Great selection of liquor, wine, beer and cigars. Youll find anything/everything here but it is a bit pricey. They have a mini coffee shop inside that is pretty good. The wine managers here are really friendly and helpful. Overall a great shopping experience but dont come here looking for a deal.
I visited Holiday Marketst in Canton, MI on 12/10/20. The Deli meat that was given to me had a sale by date of 12/14 and 12/15, of course I didnt accept it. I mistakenly purchased a whole chicken which has a sale by date of 12/15. Fresh cut cantaloupe and honeydew started to break down 12/11. I had high hopes for this market, especially with the gourmet items they sale.
Rude staff on more than one occasion. As another gentleman mentioned the deli counter ruined this place for him I couldnt agree more! Stood there while five staff members talked with each other while one of them ate. When I did finally get service I told the young man that I was disappointed in having to wait while they conversed and caught up with each other. He became indignant. It was embarrassing and mortifying. This IS NOT the first time Ive encountered rude staff at holiday market. Staff at the bakery treats you as if your interrupting them and will leave you standing for several minutes as if hoping you are just browsing the men at the fish department arent any better. On more than one occasion when asking for my fish to be packaged separately have given me a huffy and puffy attitude for making such a silly request in their opinion I suppose. After the deli counter situation, I AM DONE! They are overpriced. Kroger is five minutes away. They sell alot of the same items cheaper and have had the single last rude encounter at holiday market. Spoke to management on the deli counter situation and theyre solution was INSULTING!! By the way after talking with management and mentioning seeing one of the deli staff eating was in my opinion unsanitary, she begged to differ!! Not a concern she said! Well lady it concerns me!! I dont want to see staff eating while handling food period! Despite your RIDICULOUS reason for him doing so! Terrible management. Terrible rude staff. Pricey and not that darn special. I WILL NEVER GO TO HOLIDAY MARKET AGAIN!!
This was my first time going to Holiday market. Visually it is absolutely beautiful! I bought several pre-cooked meals those too were outstanding! With that said, the most noticeable was your employees. On a scale from one to ten, the aesthetics a ten. The meals a ten, the employees a four. From the bakery where I did not get asked if I needed help, out of five employees. Three were grouped together looking at their phones. One was right across from me but would not look up. The other was behind her. Next went to the deli, I picked a number, service seemed reasonable, employees not friendly. Meat dept., the gentleman was quick with asking if i needed help. The meat counter was beautiful! Went to check out, my cashier was effective as in checking out my order, but that is all. No friendly words, as In did you find everything, weather, how are you? I told her how beautiful the store was, nothing much as in return. Same for the bagger. I waited for my sister to get her groceries through check out and observed other cashiers. All same. No smiling no simple conversation with customers. With this all being said, it cannot be a coincidence that all employees behaviors were the same. What is that? Is it management? Is it the corporation? How can it be the same feeling throughout the store? I hope my feed back will help Institute a more friendly atmosphere for employees and customers. Your store has so much to offer. What it is lacking is a friendly, kind, joyful experience.
Holiday is a wonderful grocery store full of quality products and a lot of local variety. It should be said that you can expect to pay more than your chain stores as Holiday does not ya e their own proprietary product. That being said you do get what you pay for. From a fully stocked custom bakery loaded with artisan breads and tons of baked goods sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, to a fully stocked deli. A trip to the meat counter and you will discover many varieties of choice cuts from steaks and chops to fresh fish and poultry.Everyone is friendly and willing to help. The store does appear a bit dated and like I said it’s certainly going to be more expensive than your local chain stores such as Kroger and Meijer but it’s absolutely worth a visit and see what you think for yourself.
I love Holiday Market. I could visit every day if I could afford it. Unfortunately, its not in the budget.I love their prepared foods, especially their smokehouse ribs. Im a frequent patron of the butcher counter. By frequent, I mean, every two weeks.Holiday is probably located in the wrong section of Canton, but I truly appreciate its presence. Whenever Im getting fancy with the meals, I have always been able to find what I need ingredients-wise there.
I love this local chain which is celebrating their 20th anniversary I think. They have a great selections on a variety of items but I especially like their bakery and baked goods. They also have an excellent selection in the deli and meats as well. Stop in and check them out!

2022-07-22It is one of our favorite grocery stores. They have a very wide variety of local and international foods. The prices are a bit higher than in other parts, but the quality of their products is very good. In the deli section, they have many kinds of salads and other dishes. Also many meat specialties that cannot be found at Walmart or other supermarkets.

2022-02-19Awesome store! They have a regular grocery area, but that is not why we go there. They have one of the best delis, fresh meats and bakery. They have a good selection of European imported items, as well. Nice beer and wine selection from around the world.

2022-04-20Nice upscale market. They have prepared meals, awesome deserts in the bakery, nice seafood selection. You can find things that you normally dont find in other markets. My husband enjoys their beer selection. Always a must stop when were in that area.

2022-07-01Went their today for the first time and could not believe how incredible this grocery store is! Please build one in the Lansing, Okemos or Howell area which is the area where I live. This store has an incredible selection of the finest deli items, bakery and fresh meat counter and that is just for starters! The staff that waited on me were so friendly too. I loved the store so much, I may have to move to Canton! I came home and made a sandwich on European Rye from the bakery. Thought I died and went to heaven. God bless you! What a great store.

2022-05-23I wish we had The Holiday Market in Charlotte! I love this place. So many different options and our children love trying delicacies and cuisines from around the globe. Perfect one-stop shop for that!

2021-08-07The cake that I received vs. what I ordered! When I voiced my concern an associate behind the bakery counter was VERY rude and gave horrible attitude. When I let them know how disappointed I was I was told that “they did exactly that was requested of them.” The worker told my cousin “you should have her make your cakes from now on since she seems to know so much about cakes.” We did call the manager who was very kind and agreed that the way the associate spoke to us was unprofessional and disrespectful, needless to say we won’t be back for anymore of our family cakes.

2022-07-01I just love ❤ the hot foods area located at the Holiday Market in Royal Oak, Mi. The entire staff very professional, and very productive, and courteous.I had a bad experience with one of the check out agents, after paying for my purchase, I wanted one of the rubber bands which was in a little plastic container, I just pick up one rubber band, the customer check out agents yell at me, that rubber band cost money, and put the single rubber band back.I felt embarrassed, and ashamed and contact the manager of this store.

2022-06-25I love this store but often find the selection of salads and other items gone or in extremely limited supply. Great options in the bakery and meat department. A bit frustrated but the blank missions to get things from the produce area though.

2022-04-02Very $$$$$$ but they do have a lot of great specialty items that you would otherwise not find. So if you are looking for some type of ingredient, sauce, international foods, etc. this is the place to go. Also has a lot of locally sourced foods which is why some are a lot more costly. But no complaints for the food or the selection. Obviously i wish it wasnt as $$$ but what can you do.
