I ordered a boyds stock online to have fitted to my mosin nagant since it was not a drop in fit like they claimed so i give 2 stars for that since he was able to fit it to the stock glass bed and free float the barrel.However i asked that my bolt be welded since it was bolt on and no matter the amount of thread locker it would vibrate loose leading to an unruly bolt. I also asked that the scope mount be taken off and redone since it too was not mounted correctly from the previous owner.None of that was done the scope mount is so crooked you can see it without putting an optic on it and my bolt handle was never welded just re thread locked which i was able to twist it around without even firing it. This took over 3 months. 3 and a half if i remember correctly because he is busy so understandable but even in all that time my rifle felt rushed. Im not satisfied lets not even get into the price and ill never do business here again

Mr. Iles has helped me several times. Finding difficult to find items and repairing problems with various firearms. Always friendly and helpful. Am happy to have a talented and genuine gunsmith in the area. He is quite busy so there is sometimes a wait because there is high demand for his work. Hope his business continues to do well. You cant please some people no matter what you do. Thats the nature of dealing with the public.

Randy is very friendly, and good on prices. treated me very well while going through my purchase of my Glock 19. Also holds a very nice cpl class. Felt comfortable and welcomed. Always happy to give my money to a local business.

I have had Gunsmithing done at Randys and a few internet transfers all went well. Randy is a friendly guy with good prices call him before you order online. Randy is also an active member of the Conservation community which is great in my opinion.

Dropped my gun of in December to be refinished was told it would be done in March well that didnt happen. Called every 2 weeks to be told it would be done in a couple weeks. Finally September comes and I get a call its finished. When I showed up to pick it up the gun wont cycle and the refinished wood is ok at best. The only positive is the bluing was pretty good.

I wish there was a zero star option because I would not even call this man a gunsmith, he isnt even a good machinist. I took a rifle in to have the scope base removed since the screw heads had stripped. The job was done very quickly, but I soon learned why. Rather than take his time and make sure things were correct, he simply ran a flat end mill down and milled the heads off, also milling right down into the scope base completely removing the countersink on the bolt holes. Not to mention that he had not centered up the holes correctly and made them all oblong. When I asked what he was going to do to make it right he proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not telling him the holes were countersunk rather than counter bored. After about 5 minutes of me shooting down the rest of his lousy excuses (including that he should have charged me more than he quoted over the phone) I finally realized that this man would not accept any responsibility for his mistakes and had no intention of making it right, so he got his money and I will be buying a new scope base out of pocket courtesy of Iles Custom Gunsmithing.
