Had them out to repair a furnace inducer motor that was deemed faulty by the home inspector when we bought our house. When the tech came out he said the motor was just loud, but not necessarily in need of repair. He recommended I didn’t spend the hundreds of dollars I had planned to spend, and instead he did an overall maintenance check on the furnace and showed me the basic maintenance needed. As a first time home owner I appreciated this immensely!
We needed to replace our furnace, air conditioner and water heater. Dustin answered all our questions so we could make an informed decision on our HVAC system.Tom, Jeff and the rest of the installation crew did a fabulous job! Indoor comfort replaced a 31 yo furnace and 27 yo AC unit. They were on time and on task until the job was finished. Install is neat, and they cleaned up well before they left. I have worked with this company for 31 years. They always have done a good job. I highly recommend them.

Cory and the rest of the staff did a great job installing a new furnace, A/C, thermostat and humidifier. They were very professional and polite and careful about carpeting, etc., explained thoroughly and cleaned up everything before leaving. Easy to work with - whole experience was great!

I have been a customer for about 20 years and have always gotten good service from them. In the past I used to love to make maintenance appointments just to talk to Buzz, who has subsequently retired. For many years my favorite tech Greg, came to the house on a yearly basis but I am told that he too has retired this past year. I miss him.This weekend I noticed a reduction in the heat output of my furnace and called for assistance. The call was answered by Kenny and he helped me over the phone. As it turns out my filter was filthy. Kenny was personable and helpful. I would highly recommend this company.

Towards end of June, Indoor Comfort repaired my AC after trying multiple other companies. This was during a busy AC season. Interior identified that the issue was missing caps (and not anything wrong with AC) and also created vacuum to get non-coolant stuff out and fill with coolant. Sounds easy, but wasnt as tried working with multiple other companies. IF you can get an appointment (as they are busy) with them, work with them.
Kenny from Indoor Comfort was very professional, clearly describing what he was doing as part of annual AC maintenance. We have always had a good experience with them. I highly recommend their services for AC and HVAC maintenance and new installation.
Indoor Comfort is a top-notch contractor and service provider. Over the last 10 years they have installed a new boiler for our hot water heating system, an all new, whole-house AC system, and replaced the old hot water heater in our 35-year old house. We couldnt be happier with their installation crews: polite, efficient professionals and the work starts and finishes when scheduled. Theyve recommended good equipment. We bid our work and they are usually in the mid-range of quotes, and the quality of work and customer service are well worth it. We also have them maintain our systems, and the work is just as professional.

This is the second time weve used Indoor Comfort for our heating and cooling needs. On both occasions, they have scheduled appointments very quickly, shown up on time, and completed the work as requested. Everyone from office staff to service techs are friendly and professional. The worker was prompt, courteous, and on time. He Wore a mask and shoe covering. Performed the annual maintenance and communicated clearly has findings. He provided a written review of the maintenance checkpoints. He was extremely thorough and very pleasant. In other words, he was terrific!

I had a 24 year old 80% efficient gas furnace with a cracked heat exchanger. Indoor Comfort removed the old furnace and replaced it with a 96% Bryant furnace. They also removed my 24 year old air conditioner which will be replaced with a new Bryant unit in the spring. The workmanship on the furnace installation was excellent. It looks very nice and works very well. I would highly recommend Indoor Comfort if you have heating and air conditioning needs.David Jorgensen
One of the best customer service experience Ive ever had. The techs are particularly professional and obviously well trained. Ive used Indoor Comfort for several years now and have never been disappointed. They found a crack in my firebox shortly after and thankful I asked them to replace my furnace and AC. Indoor Comfort has serviced both our furnace and a/c units since installation about 2 years ago. They are great and we have been very happy with the work they do. Today 6/17/19 we had Greg M. Orian(? Not sure of spelling) come out to service the a/c unit and we were super impressed. He was very, very thorough and he explained a lot and gave great tips. We love Indoor Comfort. Its a local family-owned business. They are close-by, honest, and do good quality work. We are on a contract with them, and they contact us to arrange appointments for maintenance of both our furnace and AC. When our ancient furnace died they were here quickly to install a new one. They take good care of us!

We have had an exceptional experience through the entire process of working with Indoor Comfort. We have a 23 year old furnace and A/C unit and were debating on replacing or keeping the current system until it failed. We had 7 different companies evaluate our current system and provide estimates for replacement. We decided to purchase a new furnace and A/C unit after having Greg (and 6 others) evaluate our current system and estimate replacement costs. Greg gave us two quotes for different systems (one Goodman and one Bryant). Compared to the other companys quotes, Indoor Comforts Goodman system was on the lower end while the Bryant was toward the higher end. It was still several thousand dollars cheaper than the highest quote and was similar in price to a quote for the same system from a different company. We chose to purchase the Bryant furnace and A/C through Indoor Comfort partly because of their professionalism and courtesy, partly because of their reviews and reputation and partly because they have the longest labor warranty we found.On installation day, the installation team was also very professional. They updated me along the installation process and were happy to accommodate my 3 year old son requesting to watch them for much of the day, asking countless questions. After they were finished they walked me through everything that they had done and educated me about the system.Everyone from Indoor Comfort that I spoke with from day one has been professional, courteous, and prompt. I definitely will recommend them!UPDATE: Weve had our furnace and A/C system for 1.5 years and have had a couple different technicians come out for cleaning and inspection that is included in the initial install price. Mike and Mindy came out to do a cleaning and cleaning nape took of our 1993 furnace. They were very friendly, professional, and informative! Had wonderful covid precautions. Molly in the office was wonderful too! We will definitely be using them for duct work and all our heating and cooling needs moving forward 😀
Had issues with our furnace possibly short cycling last winter. Contacted Indoor Comfort and scheduled an appointment for a furnace checkup and to dig into our issue. Scheduled online, IC confirmed when our tech, Kenny Young, was on his way. Kenny arrived and listened to our description of our problem and proceeded with the checkup and diag of our issue. He explained what he was finding and how they related to our issue and how fix it. He did a thorough inspection and repair, giving us tips to optimize our furnaces performance. Greg of indoor comfort and heating is a consummate professional. Not only did he do all of the work I had expected to be done, and more, but he explained everything to me in a way that I fully understood what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what I would need to do in order to make sure my air conditioning continue to run in top order. Everyone is professional and friendly. They were extremely respectful of my home during the install. They didnt mess around with the pricing and were up front about the pros and cons of different systems. They have been out to my home during emergencies after hours and gave me advice on how to troubleshoot on my own. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Absolutely amazing experience from Indoor Comfort. We had a whole home humidifier installed, and everything from the initial quote to the actual installation was professional and awesome. Super reasonably priced and great customer service. The guys who installed our humidifier took the time to explain everything and even went above and beyond to answer an unrelated question about our gas fireplace. They also put down cloths on our floors so that they wouldnt get dirty while they were walking in and out! I would recommend them to anyone!

Communication was pretty much spot on on from Indoor Comfort for when they were coming (I actually I got a call that they could fit us in earlier than the original time frame) The parts that were needed were picked up quickly and the job was done soon after. For about a week, I’d been having scratching and banging in my furnace pipes. Finally called on a Sunday. Greg came out. He was absolutely fantastic. I bought my house and moved in July 2018. Apparently the previous owners either installed the furnace themselves or had someone else do it who was not proficient in heating/cooling. It was a scab job. Greg made some corrections and thoroughly explained everything so I could understand it. So appreciate Greg’s expertise and attention to detail. Indoor Comfort installed a high-efficiency furnace in my residence in January 2018 -- I have never considered re-visiting who should manage the maintenance of that furnace and also my A/C unit that was installed by another firm. I am grateful to Greg who was most recently to my residence ... thoroughly assessed and cleaned *both* units ... offered tips and was just generally, neighborly and of good cheer. What professionalism! Alas that we cant shake hands anymore, as was done among my dads generation when a job was done right. I know it was. Thank you!

We have the bi yearly health check for our HVAC unit. We had Greg come out last week to check out our AC unit and found some setup issues with the unit (not installed by Indoor). He was able to fix it and show me what to look for etc. Happy with the service.Had Cory over for install of dryer booster fan. Did a great job with install and very friendly.
Ken explained the problem, showed a phone video of the fault, led us through our options regarding warrant repair versus replacement. Indoor Comfort does the regular maintenance on the system and is responsive and responsible. They are well established and well regarded for a reason.
Tom and Nate finished installing our new furnace and AC earlier today. They came on the date scheduled five weeks earlier, arrived on time, cleaned up and were gone by 4:30 the first day and finished today at 1:00 pm. The entire process, from quote to installation, was exceptional. I would recommend Indoor Comfort and Greg, Tom and Nate to anybody.
Dustin is professional and answered my questions completely. Their pricing is a little more reasonable than others Ive dealt with. For a previous A/C installation the crew was on time and finished on time and no problems. For servicing the same. Friendly and competent.
The installation and workings of my Bryant furnace and air conditioning system went like clockwork. They removed all my old equipment and always left them premises very neat. Corey and his crew were extremely professional. When the work was complete, they cleaned up, including vacuuming the neighboring floor and rugs. Corey walked me through my new Evolution system more than once, making sure that I had the online resources identified and showed me how to control the system over my phone. I had never heard of Indoor Comfort until I saw how highly rated they were on Angies List, so I had them come out for a quote. I would highly recommend Indoor Comfort and this crew, in particular, to do any work inside/outside my house.
Reliable and professional company. Had a new residential HVAC system installed a year ago and the install guys did it quickly and cleanly. After a few weeks I questioned if the furnace was working correctly and they came out the same day to inspect (nothing wrong and no charge). Explained the operation of the system. Also made a free visit after a year to check if the HVAC system was still performing to spec and 2 month after our one year anniversary to check on the furnace. This company is the real deal and the cost was also the lowest by a few dollars. I cant recommend them highly enough as a trusted group of people. Its nice to be able to call them and talk directly with the top dog instead of a secretary who will have someone call you.

I cannot recommend Indoor Comfort enough. My husband works in the construction/homebuilding industry and was blown away by their professionalism, thoroughness, and knowledge. I contacted seven heating and cooling companies to get quotes and Indoor Comfort was the first to get back to me and the only company to provide additional options for our unique situation.They showed up on time, never cut corners, and did exactly what they promised. Our install required cutting ceiling vents in my 4-month-old daughters nursery. The guys protected everything, cleanly cut all the holes and then vacuumed and wiped down the entire room when they finished. They go the extra mile to get the job done the right way.

We moved into a new home and immediately needed a new water heater. Kurt came out and took a look at our existing water heater, took some measurements, and explained the different types of water heaters (including why our home isnt setup very well for a tankless water heater). We had a quote the very next day, and it was competitive with another quote I got from another company.Due to busy schedules, we ended up scheduling the removal of the old water heater and install of the new one the same day we had movers moving us into our new home. Shawn from Indoor Comfort had no problem working around the movers, and was in and out in just a few hours. New water heater looks great, along with new water shut off valves and updated code-compliant routing of the gas line.We were very happy with Indoor Comfort and will be sure to go to them first for any future heating and cooling projects!

Weve used Indoor Comfort several times. Our neighbors across the street suggested Indoor Comfort to us. Indoor Comfort serviced our ancient (but still functioning) boiler at least twice, our basement AC/Heater twice, and just now just worked on our attic air handler in the middle of a very hot day. We have been using Indoor Comfort for our heating and cooling services for at least 10 years. Their preventative maintenance program has been helpful in avoiding surprise breakdowns, which is great because heating and cooling is expensive. When we did have a part break on us, the seasoned tech - Greg - was creative in making parts he had work and the repair saved us money by extending the life of our furnace. Yesterday was our annual AC check - the tech looked so young, I was concerned. But he not only did a thorough job, he improved on the set up for the dehumidifier drain. He also was careful not to track dirt in and cleaned up after he was done. I think they are a really good company.
Indoor Comfort installed both a ductless heating / air conditioning system and an emergency generator for us - we were totally pleased with their work. We switched our HCAC business to Indoor Comfort about 5 years ago and have been very satisfied in all ways with their service including a recent furnace maintenance call.
I purchased a furnace from Indoor Comfort and the company showed me what customer satisfaction is all about. During the installation, the installers found duct work that left much to be desired when originally installed and they took it upon themselves to correct it making it look so clean and neat in its appearance without any further charge. They took this initiative on their own as if they were installing their own furnace in their own home. I would recommend this company to everyone.

They fully explained everything including the energy rebates and tax credits, warranty coverage, all aspects of the installation, how to change the filter, and maintenance tips. Our 40 year old gas boiler quit finally. We looked on Angies List to find an HVAC company with good ratings that could replace it. Indoor Comfort of Ann Arbor won the bid. They were extremely knowledgable and had it installed in two days. It works amazingly well. The township inspector said as he passed it - its a work of art. We highly recommend Indoor Comfort for all HVAC needs.

Installation is efficient, workers clean up any leftover debris, and homeowners are given instructions for whatever equipment is installed. The technician was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful in describing the problem and how things work. Because the service call was made on a Saturday, the cost for a service run was $140, which is $60 more than a weekday service run. The technician, Greg, quickly identified the problem as a defective capacitor and was able to replace the defective part within 30 minutes of arrival. The cost charged by Indoor Comfort to replace the capacitor is the basis of my rating. The cost of the capacitor was $180 for parts and labor. A search on Google reveals that comparable service costs are much less that what is charged by Indoor Comfort. Great Service < High Prices

These guys just replaced my old furnace with a 2-stage Bryant. One reason I chose them is the reviews on this and their site. They also came in with the best bid for what I was getting. A great all-around experience, I have no hesitation recommending them.

I had a new Bryant AC unit installed by Indoor Comfort last year. An included maintenance visit was performed by Mark this past week. Im very satisfied with my experience with Indoor Comfort.
We paid a premium price for replacing AC/Furnace and we regret it. Their estimate was among the highest that we got and we still went with them given the positive reviews that they had. We had nothing but trouble over the past year with what they installed.

Service call for A/C not working. Set up an appointment and their service man, Greg, showed up on time. He was very professional and knowledgeable. In no time he found that the mice had done their job on the low voltage wiring. He repaired the wiring and sealed the wiring compartment on the unit to help curtail a repeat offence by the mice. He also suggested other things I might do to improve efficiency.
Dustin was efficient an polite. He called before arriving. He showed me two filters that needed replacement on my system and upon my request, quoted the prices. He promptly installed them when I requested that this be done. Thanks you, Dustin!

The tech charged 1800% profit on the 1 lb of R410A refrigerant he put in my system, based on the current prices on Amazon... I dont know what industries generally get that kind of profit margin, but damn I wish I worked in one. They did ok work, but I will definitely be finding someone less egregiously overpriced in the future.
The people I came into contact with were so professional, courteous, and generous. I scheduled an appointment to fix my tank water heater. Due to loud construction at my complex, I did not hear the technician at the door. Despite this, she (or he) nevertheless checked the meter for my water heater and noted that there was no power. After s/he left, I got a phone call from Tamar at their office, and she updated me on the situation. Basically -- they gave me the info I needed to follow up with DTE Energy and didnt charge me anything for the visit. In addition, this saved me even more risk with regard to DTE, because I would be charged a service fee even if the DTE technician finds that the problem was not due to their meter or power line. I dont even know who this technician is, but thank you. The people here have really earned my trust.

2022-02-25I replaced my old Fuel Oil furnace (and A/C) with a Bryant from Indoor Comfort four years ago and the entire process (from inquiry, sales, installation, and maintenance) has been exemplary! So much so, that I inquired about replacing my aging electric water heater with a gas one from them today when they came to perform the annual maintenance on the furnace. Ive been meaning to do this for a couple of years, and knew I wanted to go with Indoor Comfort. So, I seized the opportunity to make some inquiries about doing just that today. Sufficed to say, I ordered a new water heater from them today (a Friday) and theyll be here to install it on Monday! Talk about quick turnaround, eh?These folks are so good at explaining in easily understood terms what would work best, offer a couple (not too many, though) options, and help decide how best to proceed, its phenomenal. No big pressure sales, no lets hurry up and get this sold... pitch, just good facts, professional advice, and let me figure out what I want to do.Friendly, professional, neatly dressed and courteous service and I know, Ill continue to work with these folks for years to come.

2022-01-14Weve been with Indoor Comfort for several years now and are on their maintenance plan. Always high quality work and sincere professionalism. Recently, the furnace for the kids and babys rooms went out and we needed a replacement. They were quick to respond. However, there was a big mishap with the installation -- the wrong furnace was replaced! We were extremely worried we would be charged double the cost to get the actual furnace we needed to be replaced. With good faith, the Indoor Comfort team did not charge us any extra for their error. Despite the inconvenience of not having heat in the kids rooms for several days, all was made right. This was a testament to the highest quality service and professionalism that Indoor Comfort provides. Highly recommend.

2022-05-30As usual the tech from indoor comfort was personable, on time and efficient. We were having our roof replaced the day Mike came and he stopped and touched base with the roofers allowing everyone to get there work done without any hassles. Also, the office called and gave us a heads up that Mike was on his way. Once again we are VERY PLEASED with the indoor comfort tech and the company overall. The previous paragraph was for the last time they came to do preventitive maintenance. The recent visit went just as well. I only wish I could remember the techs names to give them proper credit for there work.

2022-02-07Indoor Comfort technicians are professional and knowledgeable. I recently had two positive experiences. In the first case, the technician doing routine maintenance discovered high carbon monoxide in the exhaust. She was knowlegeable about what tests to perform, and this helped avert a potentially lethal problem caused by incomplete combustion. In a second case, another Indoor Comfort technician did routine maintenance on a different furnace, and he was professional, very thorough and took the time to research and answer all my questions. I am going to have them do annual maintenance.
