Great new FREE kids park in Rochester Hills. Open 8am-9pm daily. Activities for all ages and skill sets. Public restrooms in the park. FYI: Bring a change of clothes there is a little fountain/river for the kids to play in and teach them water flow while playing. Park is structured so the kids learn new skills and progress at their own pace. Activities/skills range from 18 months to 10+ years old.
Super cute park, great place for a walk and beautiful landscaping, fun playground for kiddos and adults. Interesting art walk with descriptions. A very large and split path boardwalk adds some adventure. As an added bonus show up around dusk to see the glowstones about the walkways!
They have incorporated a ton of local foliage, we saw a bunch of honey bees and the swamps seem very healthy. The kayak loading dock looks super easy to use. The construction of the piers are well done. Honestly surprised and proud to see the restoration of some of the land. It is a fantastic walk around
This park is fantastic! The play structures are fun, entertaining and there seems to be interactive spots wherever you go. Restrooms and drinking fountain/water bottle refill stations throughout the park. There are even trails and boardwalk paths to explore. Highly recommend making a visit!
This park is huge! It was packed which was to be expected. The flower bed roofs were very cool. The scenery was beautiful. There was plenty to do, even a little fun in the water! My only complaint would be the parking was a bit chaotic. Happy that there were workers on site to help. Overall very satisfied, a wonderful addition to the community, very excited for the next addition in 2022!
Didnt have time to walk all the trails, but what we saw was impressive. Seems like a kids paradise. Loved the created water features...trickling stream, water sprouting from cement sculpture and large pond/mini lake. Cant wait for the gardens to fill in. We will look up the plans and visit periodically to see what else is coming. (Also, nice bathrooms, a huge plus!)
Such a great park! So many options for the kids to do! Kept all of my kids busy at the same time! I LOVE that the play area is entirely fenced in! So many different play structures and options - the kids never got bored and didnt even get to check everything out. really nice walking path as well! We will for sure be back!
Great place with lots to do for all ages. Definitely some structures and equipment that will test your kids physical abilities, balance and creativity. I recommend some supervision to ensure everyone is having a safe and enjoyable time. The big tree seems to have a bit of a rock accumulation issue but hopefully that gets resolved before someone gets hit wrong by falling stones or a kid is tempted to experiment with aerodynamics.
Nice trails and playground. Absolutely no parking or bathroom facilities. First warm day of the year and the entrance was gated off at 11am. Had to park in a dirt field across the street. No easy entrance from across the street, cross walk doesnt even lead straight to the park. why wasnt parking thought of first for a popular area.
Absolutely one of the best parks Ive ever been to in Metro Detroit area. The kids play area will get pretty crowded on nice days so be prepared. Very clean and really pretty walking path along the water. Definitely recommend taking your kids, wife/husband for a walk around the park.
Designed for ages 3 - 12 the playground is made for children to get active, body and mind. For the adults there are some nice walking trails around the park.Gets very busy and there is auxiliary parking across the street from the main parking lot.On a hot day the water fountains are filtering ice cold water with a bottle refill station and a pet watering fountain.
Excellent park for all ages. Been open for about 3+ years, every season out, subtle seasonal changes. Worth a repeat viewing for all ages. Wether, walking, jogging, cycling, childrens play area, sight seeing, boardwalk, trails along the Clinton River, etc... etc. Get out & savor all moments allowed...
Free entry, lot of parkingPLAY STRUCTURE: perfect for big and little kids. Newer style structure with multiple slides and add-on structures. Spacious on and around structure.Positive: green carpet around structure that doesnt harm little feetInnovative play area with water(get to know how dam gate works) for kids to exploreBathroom facility with electricity.Nice walking paths, bbq grills, biking trails picnic seating and plenty of space for groups.Second phase of park construction is planned with much more activites.
Cute new park but the citys project manager really dropped the ball on this in terms of location. Why would you put a playground/childrens area right next to a very busy street that is known for extreme speeders itching to get on M-59?You couldve saved some of the many trees you butchered to create a perimeter/sound barrier- this would make parents and families feel a lot safer. Please do the city of Rochester a favor and demote the development team behind this..
A lot of potential for this place, play grounds and gardens still under construction, they dont have grills installed yet, no shed, but they have beautiful boardwalk, and nice paved trail along with dirt trails into the woods along the paved path. Good for families, kids, walks, and biking. Very clean and safe.Nice views, plenty parking space.Restrooms are clean and well maintained.
Beautiful place to walk in all seasons...everything from paved walkways( some with glowing stones at night) to elevated wood walkways through the wetlands to natural pathways through the woods and along the river. Several ponds are a perfect resting spot for the ducks.
Never knew this was in my own city! Very nice park. Looks to be building up the boardwalk that opens the entire area. Great for dogs on leashes of course. Restroom facities. Lots of little lakes and ponds. Perfect place to take a quick walk or to spend some time and picnic.
This is a fantastic park! I love the pond and the gardens in the front and the woods in the back. The woods feel very secluded while being a short distance from the main park area. The boardwalk is very cool and much larger than I expected. The bathrooms were very clean, as was the rest of the park. This is one of my favorite places to hammock as there are plenty of trees and the woods are very peaceful.
No offence, but there are literally no outlits for me to charge my nintendo switch. Like how am I supposed to play animal crossing new horizon?! I forgot to charge my switch before I left and I only got to play for 6 hours today (only 6?!?!), how am I going to complete my fish research labratory now. Maybe I will change this contribution review if you guys add outlits, but for now, you only get 1 star..
Beautiful new playground in large area with many neat stuff for kids to play with/on! When we went I think it was opening weekend because it was jam packed with people we had to wait in long lines just to ride a swing! Other than that its definitely worth a trip. They also have trails in woods and large pond or lake with fountain!
Beautiful park with a nice location. Plenty of paved trails and walkways, and if youre more adventurous, there are plenty of unpaved trails where you can lose yourself in nature. Some great places to view the Clinton River. Well maintained and there is a nice new playground also.
Brand new park feel, and Im honestly all here for it. Theyre adding to the park, and from what it sounds like should be done at least by the end of summer. Enjoyed my walk there, and the restrooms were well kept. Clean trail. Definitely want to check the park out more! It was getting towards dusk when I went, and I only got to hike one trail. Definitely will be coming back. Excited for the new addition to the park soon!
This park probably has the best play ground I’ve seen compared to any other park in Metro Detroit. The city of Rochester Hills has done an amazing job designing the park and keeping it clean. The city also has emphasis on keeping trees and other environmentally friendly projects thrive such as green roof on one of the pavilions. We’ll definitely be coming here regularly to use playground and appreciate the wooded area surrounded the trails.
State of the art playground for kids of all ages, but be prepared to enter a busy, busy park. It was so loaded with people that we couldnt experience any of the new stuff there. Also parking lot was so full they had overflow across the street. I would wait couple months to visit see if dies down a bit.
The park is going to be fantastic when its done. The bike and walking trails are very nice. However; WARNING: Before using the kayak launch to explore the Clinton River, be aware the river is dammed in two (2) areas (as of 7-14-2021) before Eagles Landing at Livernois and Avon. They are impassable and you have to figure out a way to get out of the river to portage your kayak. One area is extremely difficult and you have to walk through thick over growth to pass the blockage. This is definitely an area only for advanced kayaking. I called the park and warned them they need to put up signs warning kayakers the river is blocked. They advised me they have a contractor coming out (unknown when) to clean up the river from these dams.
Rochester Hills has put in a lot of money to this park. It has 2 man-made lakes, 1 with a water feature. Walking paths that surround the park and lead to decking in the woods. You can also sneak down to the river and walk through the woods as well. Soon to come is a sensory garden for the community. A great park for the whole family!
September 2021 - we came here with my 3 daughters under 10 twice in 3 days. They loved this park.1. They do have a little area to slide down. Bring a box or something for the kids.2. The tree house has two slides. It looks like a 3rd but it just a spot for the kids to walk. Not for adults as I almost got stuck.3. Extra parking is across from the entrance. The lot near the entrance fills up fast.4. Great spot to do family pictures.5. I only located one bathroom and I think they will add more.6. They do have a trail.7. My daughters loved it!8. If you come at night they have stones that light up on the ground. However, by the playground it got pretty dark. They need to add more lights.
First time and we all were beyond impressed. Was by far the most up to date play ground any of us have ever seen locally. Was great to see, and plan on making it a frequent destination! And from the looks of it, their no where near done building on to it. Wich is beyond amazing considering whats already there.
Congratulations to the city of Rochester Hills for this very aptly named innovative space in the midst of our beautiful city. The park has gorgeous photo ops, great water features, even solar powered cell phone charging stations. It successfully captures spectacular views at every turn and has a lovely spacious boardwalk. So excited for their kayak launch . What I’d love to see and hope they have in their plans is1. The park currently opens at 8 am. That is truly late for morning sun worshipers2. Not sure if they plans to have security cameras but would be great to have them as well as emergency call buttons along the path
I like the park and the trails. It truly is fantastic people have a place to go and get some nature in the city. The reason I didnt give 5 stars is personal taste. I think the park is a bit utilitarian. The features are straight lines and solid concrete. It seems like something youd see on The Man in the High Castle. I would prefer something that blends better with nature. That being said the park is beautiful, and clean, and being improved daily.
Very beautiful park with a long walk path that includes a board walk. But this location is not good for picnic (there are only 3 or 4 picnic tables, all of them in the Sun). There are a couple of unisex restrooms but no wash basins or water. Probably the park officials are hinting that we should leave as soon as possible.
A lot of great walking, biking, running trails have been completed to date, but upgrades are still being made such as a kayak launch and playground for children, both healthy and disabled. Great to walk on the wooded trails, and there is a beautiful pond(s) with fountain by the parking area.
Wow kind of shocking, every fork in the path lacked signs or trail heads. It was hard to tell which way to go. Also the board walk was nice, but wow so suprised at all the DANGEROUS dead trees ready to fall and kill someone. Yall need to cut those down ASAP. Also the trail lacked any bit trees.I understand the park is half finished but also need more benches and picnic tables . NEEDS WORK GUYS

2022-06-30Very nice play area! They have turf/rubber on the ground which is nice. No woodchips! They are currently working on phase 2, which i believe has additional play structures. There is a nice walking path and plenty of tables with a gazebo. There are also numerous benches throughout the play area. Excited to see this place when its complete.

2022-05-31Lovely playground with slides, fake turf for cardboard sliding, swings and it even has a little sandpit. Not much shade and due to the surface the sun makes it very hot there. No refreshments on the site so make sure to being your own. There are ToiToi portable toilets but not adjusted for kids so bring a kids seat if necessary. There is a covered area with benches for eating, and a few picnic tables with sunshades outside. A nearby pond makes it a lovely day out.

2022-06-12Weve been here four times in the last ten days and the kids love it so much that theyve made plans with their friends to meet up at this place every weekend during the summer break from school. The place is great to keep kids active and busy inspite of pending expansion of the play area. Well designed and beautiful. The only issue that people have is the parking. Finding parking during peak hours is a hassle. Youll have to drive across the road for extra parking space!

2021-09-07The hottest new playground was delightfully busy today, parking was very limited. There is a water feature, that may have some mud next to it, and also a sand box. I recommend bringing extra clothing. There are activities here for all ages and abilities, lots of climbing opportunities, sliding and swinging. We enjoyed it so much at the playground, we didnt get to the rest of the park. We look forward to coming back soon.
