Comment: I am amazed of all the staff here. Every staff was in good mood and very efficient considering the situation of having to help people in need. Trust me there are many in need. The office area is great. I went to get food from their pantry and i was rewarded with good things. I was hoping to be able to shop for things but its ok i understand that its more efficient their way. THANK YOU!

Comment: Anna the caseworker at interfaith is one of the most helpful, generous, caring, hardworking staff members there. This lady needs a award, raise, certificate, or something cause when we go to interfaith looking for help she gives us help, I’ve been seeing her for about 2 years and she helped in so many ways and she definitely is the textbook caseworker as her actions speak louder than words. Comment: I get feeling that they dont care too much about the homeless. 2 weeks later, still no bed for me. I see others coming in. Who knows if they are in line before or not. But been told since I work Im not a priority. Just because I work doesnt mean I got a house. And I need food and other services. Which was like pulling teeth just to get some because, like I said, I work during their open hours. There are no services on weekends. Sorry, but the homeless dont end on the weekend. And if their case loads are too much for the case managers to call back timely. They should hire more. Stand in shade youll get asked to leave. I just wanted to finish my lunch. BTW, 100 degrees outside.Update today is Sept 13 still no call back about a bed...:(

Comment: I was a client of Interfaith Community Services (Recuperative Care RCP). and was terminated from the program what was described as a concern over trending behavior that consisted of being assaulted and complaining to the California Board of Nursing for ignoring requests for medication assistance from the Nursing Supervisor Patricia Mack RN which resulted in my calling 911 and taken to the Emergency Room. The Case Manager Megan Sicard informed me of this decision in the midst of incredible hardship and turmoil - when I was trying to get my life back on track. Ms. Sicard actions were in direct retaliation for complaining to the board and I assume for being a victim of an assault. It is shameful and mean-spirited and I resent her for it. How is when, where and by whom I am assaulted under my control. Shame on you Megan Sicard. You are a terrible person and some kind of humanitarian. SHAME ON YOU!!!

Comment: Come here if u need rental assistance, utility bills assistance, help filling out unemployment, ebt, cash aid, job hunting, drug program resorces, homeless program and low income housing resorces .free food they have options for people who dont have a fridge also...(cat dog food also and diapers for babys) ...they also give hotel vouchers, vouchers for a id or ssn. Dont have a address to receive mail ? They will give u one. If u are struggling this is the place to turn to ....get a case worker and tell them what they can be of assistance with.

I found my appointment with one of the reps in Carlsbad very useful and I was treated respectfully and without the feeling of being rushed through a system even though I looked like a skate rat. Their rep answered all of my inquires with true patience and interest and I was able to move forward into a better situation when I was truly in need of better opportunities.

Comment: Although they offer a good range of services including Housing Navigation in the North County, the schedule at which some services such as showers are offered can be unreasonable for the homeless.Often, there is a limit on the amount of people who can shower and wash their clothes. My biggest peeve is their lack of instruction in Mental Healthcare to address some of the homeless who suffer from mental challenges and can get a bit rude. Their solution is to ban them from receiving services, which is brutal and certainly not very worthy of their claim to be an organization as a combination of faiths that advocate service, compassion and understanding. I would like to see that change.

Comment: Interfaith is a great community service program. Ive gone to them a few times in the past. My first visit was nearly 30 years ago and they are always caring and able to help me. I only go when Ive truly been in need of assistance. I dont know exactly how long theyve been around to help the community but Im forever grateful that they are there when Im in need of a help. The staff, I believe for the most part, are volunteers. They are always kind and make sure you have all the resources you need each time you go in. One day, a staff member asked me to stop singing...I should have asked her why. Especially considering the amount of times I hear shelter residents using expletives, talking about drugs, or having other unsavory conversations.There are some staff members that seem to care, but for the most part, I feel as though staff members are just there for a paycheck...the homeless community needs BETTER!

Comment: Wonderful wonderful establishment has helped me many times. Any contributions that can be made or welcomed they help a lot of people. The amount of homeless in Escondido is incredible and every morning they feed them all breakfast and give them a sack lunch and theres many programs available to the 49 people that are able to stay in their shelter for 3 months at a time. I cant say enough good about this Center and all its employees and the clients as well just because their homework homeless does not make them bad people they just lost their way or their means of support and are searching for an answer just like the rest of us please dont judge its very hurtful I myself have been in the position they help recovering addicts and alcoholics to help homeless mentally ill they have food banks so many different programs and the community should be grateful because it takes these people off the street and helps and become better people working people give them resources and skills teaches them tools what more can you ask this is the very best establishment in all of Southern California in my opinion. Thank you Interfaith youve done me more good then I could have possibly done for myself. But almost all those people living in those units are current dope fiends who do nothing but get high and hang out around the apartments making it look terrible. There social workers or whatever dont give a damn. All interfaith does is enable them to do drugs all day. Theyre not required to get a job or anything. There not being drug tested. The whole thing seems like a big scam especially when I see their social workers pulling up in brand-new Teslas and jaguars. Whats really being done with this money? This place needs to be shut down or at least audited.

But if you are not a mentally Ill dope fiend this is not the place for you. Sadly its a 4 us by us type deal meaning some of the staff is just as bad. The security here (Val, and Dennis) are awesome and are very helpful and seem to actually care about there Jobs. As for Maria haha 😂 she is a complete joke who is full of herself and must have a personal vendetta against people in a bad situation that are smarter than her. Please if you in counter this demon RUN. Shannon is super cool and does her Job well. Kim is the most incredible of them all she is non judgemental and really involved and treats you like a human. Scott is a quiet guy but if you need something done he is on it. I stayed here when I was in a low point in my life and except for a temp place to sleep this place was absolutely no real help AT ALL. So unless you just need a crash spot keep looking. Dinner is salad and pasta almost every night so if you on a low carb diet, thats over. There are constantly bed bugs. Curfew is 9:30 which is cool except bits also bed time. Worst of all the Demon (Maria) is one of the higher ups and Definitely plays favorites so get on her good side or your screwed. And if you actually require her to do her Job and not just have high rants on Thursday she will find away to get rid of you

Comment: Interfaith helped me out in a huge way with my Traffic fine/resulting in suspension of my DL, I acquired sometime in 2001.In 2009 is when I visited The office in Escondido ca, had my intake and was told to keep a somewhat detailed review of my weekly activities such as my college schooling, homework, attendance for any Family or children’s school events, so pretty much all that was working towards a positive outlook that benefited my children and I. So for 3months weekly I did just that, my intake counselor was great and worked in my favor when I did struggle a bit once or twice. I was walked through every single step of the program I was completely comfortable and in that 3mo, I met in vista with I believe paralegal or attorney of some sort whom reviewed my fines and what to expect before going in front of a judge. Fines were forgiven. I’m truly greatful to this day for the helpfulness and wonderful support I received from Interfaith

Comment: The nice part about this organization is the quality of the food that is donated, and some of the volunteers are respectful and kind. The worst part about this organization is that many of the staff behave as if you owe them something, and that help is coming personally from their pockets. I have seen a handicapped female worker, hit a man on his arm and tell him he cant sleep in the waiting area. She still has her job. I complained and was told they have a no sleeping policy. Recently I have seen people sleeping in the waiting area without being harrassed by staff. If that policy is still in affect, it is extremely inhumane. We as homeless people are so sleep deprived, that we fall asleep unintentionally. A case manager told me that they were no longer doing individual case management, but actually they are. I do not recommend the homeless shelter. I did an intake once and imediately decided not to stay. The staff person doing my intake was, lazy, unsanitary, did not wash her hands after my urine test. She was also biased letting a white man be taken care of before me. She also took an entire box of fruit home, never asking if I was hungry during my wait. As far as funding, several times I was told they did not have housing assistance money, when they infact did. I came in and verbally asked for housing assistance, they said they didnt have any. I sat down in their waiting area, wrote out a written request, asking if they currently have funding in their, fiscal, discretionary, or special budgets for housing assistance. I asked for a written response. Guess what, magically in minutes they said they actually do have funding. Many of these agencys get funding from multiple sources. Its ashamed that some workers at these organizations, pick and choose who to help as they please, as if the money is coming out of their personal bank accounts. These types of organizations need to screen their employees better, so that more people can get the help they need, in a caring, efficient, non biased way.

Comment: These people are extraordinary. The staff has to deal with every kind of person, especially those of humble circumstance, and they treat everyone respectfully and fairly, no matter what. They provide tons of community services. There is a walk-in food bank every morning at 8am, and I believe they also provide a homeless shelter and rehab. The community is lucky to have Interfaith.

Comment: The staff is very nice, and helpful. They deal with vets, homeless, families in need, people in between jobs.....and they give information about other services to those in need also. They offer a lot of additional other service too, like use of computers for jobs and reaching loved ones. And a place for some to sleep. Today the face of hunger is very different, the amount of young people and children is very alarming. And the need for donations is GREAT!!!! Sometimes there is very little and the pantry is kind of bare. But the doors remain open, they try to do what they can with what ever resources they have. They feed vets, and have sack lunches for everyone, as well as boxes of food for the people who sign up for food to take home. And try to give home cooked meals to some, and on some Holidays they try to make it a little better by some holiday meals. They really need non perishable food items, boxed, canned, and toiletries. If not for the GRACE OF GOD, it can be anyone, be greatful for all blessings. Because no body said When I grow up I want to be hungry or homeless The lost of income, illness, accident, drugs, alcohol, depression, mental illness, any number of things can cause a persons life to spiral out of control. They have to deal with, a lot of different personalities, because when life has kicked you down, sometimes you can become bitter. So its not always easy to be to helpful and pleasant to everyone. But they try. They were not designed to be a employment service, but they sometimes have information about potential employers, but they dont decide on the qualifications or job skills. The employers decides everything, and yes some jobs decide they want Spanish speaking employees. This country is diverse and this area is primarily Hispanic so it may be a requirement from the employers. But they still try, they are not the complete solution, or answer they are just a stepping stone to a path not so bleak and dark. No one agency has all the answers for homelessness in this country. Thats one of the reasons it is has, and will continue to be a problem in this country. But they try, and their here. When a lot of people close a blind eye to this ever growing problem they dont. Please help Interfaith on their mission to help others, there are a lot of ways anyone can help. Call and ask, or simply donate, it will make you feel good when you do. Human beings Must All open their eyes and act positively for change, this problem is global and growing.

They get weird, dont get any, get homeless, then compromise on eating chocolate cake, distributed by the truckload... They maintain an organization and system so that nobody can love eachother, then of course they all give up.. Quite naturally. if I ran this place it would be all ivy and hammocks and people in togas handing out tanning oil and condoms. Nobody would have any problems anymore.. Comment: The name of my abusers are Jessica Rebolledo, Melissa Lechuga, Stephanie, Amanda, Kim, and Fernando.I came to this program after escaping a domestically violent situation, and coming here was like reliving the abuse I endured by the staff members listed above. Not only did they attempt to wrongly terminate me from the program, but by the grace of God I collected enough evidence to descredit their lies and caught the events on camera, documented through emails, and eye witnesses who were also subjected to the abuse. During my time here I saw two people die from the negligence of available medical treatment. The names of the victims are Danny Mitchell and Raul. Other instances of abuse include a woman name Christina who was wrongly kicked out as they had attempted with me. The staff members listed abuse their power to those who are in vulnerable positions. During my time here I was denied a pad after starting my period and bled all over myself. When reported, nothing was done and the staff members continued to work there. Come here prepared, and. No matter how much they threaten you make sure to catch every event on camera if you stay here. Protect yourself because this place is corrupted and will try to break your soul.If you ever need to sue this place for discrimination, abuse, or if you need evidence to support your case feel free to reach out.
