Comment: This has got to be the most unprofessional place. The way the employees speak to its Customers is unacceptable . They speak to them with such authority or they are like the repo man. I feel horrible for the elderly people who they speak to in such manner if they speak to somebody that is not elderly with such disrespect I don’t even want to imagine how they speak to them. Specially, now in times that people are struggling with money. Don’t use this company for your equipment needs. I would rate this a ZERO but unfortunately there is no portion for that .

They proceeded the order quickly so when my mother got discharged from the hospital she had everything she needed. The tech that came over was very helpful and explained everything to us

Comment: Intracommunity Home Care Inc is a wonderful establishment. The owner Geraldine is truly so nice and so caring and was very communicative. When my grandma needed a hospital bed they were so swift with their response and that made my grandmas care that much better. They made sure to deliver the bed in a timely manner and were kind enough to help explain how the controls worked. All in all truly a great service wish I could give more stars.

Comment: This company has been extremely friendly & easy to work with. I recently got a urinal for my dad who struggles with getting out of bed to use the bathroom due to neuropathy. I reached out to Geraldine who was very helpful & explained to her what I needed. She quickly ordered the urinal for me and within a couple of days it had arrived. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for anything they may need in order to help care for their loved one.

Comment: I have dealt with many DME providers as a caregiver and as a patient. These companies are usually compassionate and kind because they are working with vulnerable people. Our home health agency works with Intracommunity who filed forms with the wrong information for our physician to sign, referring to my husband as SHE on the forms. They were forced to correct the forms more than once before our doctor could sign. Our doctors do not have time to deal with incompetencenor should they have to. Donovan tried to sell me on a hospital bed 《UPGRADE》 for an extra $1k beyond the Medicare reimbursement, that was the same bed as the one that we presently own, but with longer bedrails. We were given a prescription for specific features on the new hospital bed conforming to my husbands condition and diagnosis.They were indifferent to my patients needs and very interested in receiving the 《ONE TIME ADDITIONAL FEE》. I actually paid cash for my husbands bed without going through Medicare and only paid between $600-$700 in 2021. Something doesnt make sense. Intracommunity demands the 《ONE TIME ADDITIONAL FEE》that is practically the price of the bed upfront AND ALSO BILLS MEDICARE. I suggest to the other caregivers whose vulnerable patient were abused file a complaint with Medicare. Find out if any of the employees actions could be considered elder abuse and or elder financial fraud.

Comment: After our experience with Intracommunity Home Care Inc. we decided to post this detailed and honest review in hopes to help other innocent elderly or critically ill patients to make a better decision. This business took advantage of my elderly parents, lied to me during multiple attempts to seek repayment for them and to add to the mistreatmemt the business manager Geraldine most recently hung up the phone during a critical call where she just got fed up with me trying to help my oxygen dependent elderly father. For the 1st time in my life i resorted to filing a complaint through BBB where they responded back to my BBB complaint with blatant lies. This business should not be trusted, should not be part of our community, and i urge any caretakers for the critically ill to avoid this place. Shame.Also... Reading through the many other 1 star reviews of this place... It saddens me to see that it is common practice for Geraldine to hang up on paying customers and not work with them on coming up with a solution. She may need to be retrained and taught to treat customers with respect. I hope when it comes to you or you family health care needs... You have a more positive experience than you provided me and others listed here.

Geraldine came to my house herself to help set up some equipment and I’ve never met anyone more passionate about what they do. I wish I could give more stars

Comment: We purchased a bed and wheelchair from these people. Sara from this company then called us a month later and verbally harassed and harangued my elderly relative, saying that they demanded $600 over the phone right at that moment, or they were going to come take the bed and wheelchair which my paralyzed aunt is in. She did this to us 3 times, after we had paid in full. She refused to send us an invoice until we gave her a credit card number over the phone, which we refused. Long story short, the losers at this company incorrectly billed Medicare, and then tried to shake us down for another 600. Avoid this company like the plague. Sara needs to be fired.Update: the business has replied to my review below with nothing but falsehoods, as expected. The equipment WAS covered by Medicare, as proven when the rehabilitation center she had been in contacted this equipment company and corrected mistakes made by the people who had done the billing. There was no write off of equipment by this company. Theres a reason your reviews all say similar, terrible things. Perhaps you should try to improve from the constructive criticism rather than malign previous customers and call them liars on a public forum.

Comment: I would leave no stars if I could. They are VERY unprofessional! Do not use them! They were contracted to provide DME to my elderly mother who just got out of the hospital. They were supposed to bring the equipment the day BEFORE she was being discharged. That did not happen. Instead I recd a phone call that the equipment would be delivered the AFTER she returned home. They showed up and demanded payment. No one told me they would be collecting payment upon delivery! They were supposed to leave it the day before discharge in the secured entryway of the house. I told them no one would be home. They said thats fine. There was never a mention to leave payment outside the front door. My mother is elderly and suffering some dementia. She did not understand why they needed money. I thought that would have been billed through the mail, so I didnt tell her to expect to pay for equipment upon delivery. I called their office and spoke with Sarah and then Jeraldine. Both women refused to have the driver return to deliver the equipment and pickup payment. They said they would try to deliver tomorrow. Now, its 3 days past when I was promised and my mother needs that equipment! I said I had thought they would work us here because of the not being told. I was given the same no. I mentioned that I would probably not leave a nice review for them. She asked, Are you threatening us?!. I said, no, no I am not. She then said, Well, we are denying your payment. I hung up! Do NOT go through this very unprofessional and uncaring company.

Comment: Intracommunity Home Care went so many extra miles to help my mother-in-law get a portable oxygen concentrator. Her doctor’s office was having a hard time replying in a timely manner to give her a prescription for the device, so Geraldine at IHC called the office to aid the transaction. After the prescription came through, they made an appointment to thoroughly explain how to use the device, and called back several times to make sure everything was going well. They thought of things my MIL might want before she even brought it up. What’s really hard to express is how comfortable they made her feel during the whole process. In the weeks that followed, my MIL called us to tell us that she was using her increased ease of mobility to get out in her garden and to take walks around her neighborhood. Having such personalized attention during the process made a huge difference in her quality of life.

We are happy to express that their products have been instrumental in ensuring our health and comfort for a while. Their leg pedal exerciser is a component of a family member’s exercise routine to combat mobility challenges and ensure lower body strength and balance. Their quad cane is sturdily built with a firm grip. The company also came through for us during the Covid pandemic. Comment: The company said my husband had an open workmans comp claim. It was a lifetime coverage for his knee replacements. I called Medicare and they told me to have them submit a request indicating that my husband was at City of Hope being treated for cancer they refused. We would have to pay for the order. We canceled. Horrible!! How many times has this happened to other people?

Comment: I worked with them for months trying to get a scooter for my brother. They told me medicare paid less than 50% when I checked with Medicare are they ssid no they paid 80%, staff made excuses. First we were told any scooter he got would cost him $550. Once they had medicare approval three times they said they had a scooter for him and in 3 days they said they could not get any. Now months later trying to find a place to start the process over, which took several months, he has now fallen and needs surgery. Wasted about 6 months with them and they even lied to Medicare and ssid we turned one scooter down which we did not. They finally admitted to medicare I did not turn one down when during a 3 way call with them and Medicare that I had all the texts between us. They were trying to take advantage and charge in more money saying medicare paid less than 50% and is was responsible for the balance. Funny thing when they gave me the name of scooter and I googled it they cost about $1000 so why was him amount $550. They are taking from these senior citizens living on a low income that hardly feeds and houses them. Dhameon them. They just want your money. Sad thing is now he has to have more surgery because we wasted all those months while they played him and he still has no scooter. If he would have gotten it months ago after medicare approved it he would not be having another surgery because he fell without it!I received your reply and you have it wrong. We did not request anything special. It was turned down the first time from Medicare because YOU requested a heavy duty chair which he did not qualify for since his weight was only 210 not 300. Second your staff refused to give me any of the paperwork that you had. Any other dealer will have to go back and start from scratch. Getting doctors paperwork, etc. Your staff was caught in several lies while on the phone with Medicare. She actually changed her story with medicare when I said I had all the texts between your staff and myself.You may stand by but your staff does not. He has fallen and more surgery and still no scooter because I am trying to care for him and I am now sick. Maybe you need to request for the texts that shows we did not request anything special or turn any scooter down as staff finally admitted to Medicare. Plus my sister called and talked to your staff a few months ago without using her or my brothers names and was told you had the scooter in stock but approval for medicare takes months. So it sounds like you had them just did not want Medicare customers.

Comment: Elderly loved one was discharged from nursing home in need of an air mattress ASAP. Intracommunity provided the air mattress but charged our 94 year old loved one to pay a co-pay for more than the cost of a new mattress. The mattress had a leak, and Intracommunity replaced it with a used mattress that also leaked. This company appears to prey on vulnerable people in their times of crisis.To the owner: You said you dont charge a co-pay, so will you please refund the $950.00 paid to Intracommunity? Or should I just contact Medicare to file a claim?

Comment: This company is has two very unprofessional women running the office. I am going to find the owners information and let them know what is going on there. I was hung up on twice, I was spoke to very unprofessionally and I demand that an apology is given. I was calling to find out why they were taking a wheel chair from a loved one. Then the so called manager started talking out of line. No one should be talked down to because they cant afford equipment for their loved ones. If this was my office and found that my employees were hanging up on people they would be fired... point blank. I want to speak to the owner and let him know how these two unprofessional women are running his office. I am having my attorney find out how to get in touch with owner.

Comment: Went to rent a wheelchair for a couple of days because their website said they had daily and weekly rentals. when i went to their office i walked in and said hello, the people there just stared at me in silence. i asked about the wheelchair pricing and they quoted me monthly. when i asked about the daily/weekly pricing the woman looked away and said they dont do that. her body language was that of someone being dishonest. greedy

Comment: This company is awesome. Their service goes above and beyond what was expected. I was in an accident in 2020, and upon finally coming home from the hospital, their company had supplied a hospital bed, a walker, and other equipment. It was all set up and waiting for me when I arrived home. My wife stated she didn’t need to do anything. They were extremely professional and courteous. I am forever grateful to this company. A special thanks to the manager, Geraldine. Your heartfelt concern for my injuries was appreciated. And your flexibility with eventually picking up all of the equipment 6-7 months later was thoughtful. Anytime I needed additional equipment, within 24 hours they were at my door. Whether it was a larger wheelchair, or a smaller one, they were always ready for me. My own insurance coverage, Kaiser, did not even offer this service or equipment. It was up to me to find a third-party vendor. So happy that I found Intracommunity. God bless your company.
