Comment: I bought my vehicle from this location about a year and a half ago. I have been to this location almost on a monthly basis for issues that are wrong with the vehicle Which is never ending at this point as my vehicle is currently back in the shop. My normal service provider is Miguel who has somewhat made my experience with this location a little bit better. I am beyond upset at how my service appointment just went and I do not like the customer service or the way I was talked to. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle, DO NOT come to this location because I promise you, you will fully regret it! I have thought about writing a review with everything I have went through for the last year and a half with this vehicle, but I haven’t so that shows you that today my experience was beyond terrible, and I am highly disappointed!

Hes incredibly knowledgeable, sincere, and the utmost professional. Its the little things for me--providing me with details about the vehicle I didnt otherwise know, offering to drive me to the roof to look at a vehicle that had just arrived (I opted to walk but appreciated the courtesy) to taking the time to help me set up the vehicles app after the purchase was finalized. If you are looking for a new Land Rover, Kent is definitely who you should ask for! Hes the best!

I had a plastic protector covering it which was not damaged so Im not sure how it was scratched as it was the first time I noticed it. If it wasnt scratch during the replacement then I must have purchased the car with it and did not notice it.

However, this time it took them three times to figure out the problem electrical in my car and finally changed out the computer boards and modules which seem to fix the problem, it could’ve been done the first time around but the third that’s why they don’t get five stars this time

Comment: I am sorry to say that my recent experience in regard to my Jaguar is not favorable. I took my Jagaur to have the brakes checked because they seemed like they were vibrating.I was told that I needed Rotors and Brake Pads all around.I took it to another mecanic and they agreed that my front Rotors were no good, but my back Rotors were in good shape as well as all my Brake Pads were also in good shape.They replaced the Front Rotors, and problem solved.On another note, I took my Range Rover Autobiography to get serviced.When I picked it up at the end of the day, I drive it from your facility in Carlsbad to my house in Valley Center, about a 30 mile drive.I parked in my garage and I smelled something, I looked around and noticed there was fluid dripping from my car.I called and informed your personnel what happened.To their credit they sent a Tow truck out, actually three tow trucks because the 2 first ones did not know how to put it in neutral manually because they were instructed not to turn the car on.I was never really told what happened, but I suspect someone did not tighten a nut or bolt.

Comment: We recently took our Evoque in for the 6-month service on a Thursday morning. We requested that the intermittent operation of the hand-held remote and finger-touch door opening feature be fixed. Also, we asked that a chip on the hatch door be fixed. When purchasing the car, we paid a $1000 fee to have our paint chips repaired for a year. The car was kept for five days. Upon picking up the ca,r we found that the door problem was not fixed and the chip had been repaired with a touch-up brush. That is not the type of paint repair we expect for $1000.The service person was very courteous but it was difficult to find out what the status of the car was and when it could be picked up. Also, the service people were unaware that we had the warranty on the paint.In summary, the problems we reported were not satisfactorily taken care of and we were without the car for five days. Comment: This review is not for the car it’s self, it is strictly for the “Packages” offered in financing. Be very aware of the terms of the packages. I purchased the brake package and did not understand that it was only valid for 2 years. My brakes are still good after 2 years and do not need replacing so I have wasted the money.As far as the car goes, there have been issues, possibly to many for a new car that cost over 100k but that is all forgotten when you drive it because this engine is a beast.

Put on an old scratched up tire center cap when I came is with all 4 brand new caps. Gave me a loaner car with a significant crack in the windshield and failed to tell me it was pre-existing so I freaked out thinking that I had done it. I’ll be taking my Range Rover to a different dealership for my next maintenance appointment.

First let me say that both Eric and Miguel the gentleman that checked me out provided excellent customer service but I was disappointed in the product that I received. The replacement tire that you provided doesnt match any of the other 3 on the car, which would have been fine if it were an emergency or if I was at Bobs discount tire, but why did I have to wait an additional 4 days for a non matching tire? Secondly when I picked the car up there was a yellow warning light for low battery on the key fob, we assumed the old key fob not the new one you had just programmed, but after we changed the battery in the old one and started and restarted the car and separated the keys and did all the various combinations it turns out that the battery was low in the brand new key fob that I had just purchased from you, I will go ahead and assume that the replacement of the gas tank flange the other item that was completely correctly but based upon the first two items my confidence is definitely shaken. The service and support is outstanding.I recently scheduled an appointment to get the brakes and tires on my Jaguar XF looked at due to a slight noise I was experiencing during rush hour traffic on the freeway.Miguel did an amazing job of taking care of my service request. He was able to effectively listen to my concerns. Once I dropped off my vehicle with Miguel he led me to the next member of the Hoehn team that would assist me.Leah was beyond helpful and expeditious in her assistance in getting my loaner vehicle. Then were so many restrictions on the loaner car, I live in a town about 45 miles away where there is no dealership closer to me. There were fees for more than 50 miles in a day, and fees if you can’t pick it up within 4 hours of being notified it’s done (some of us work and can’t just up and leave work to go pick it up within 4 hours and no after hours options). When you pay as much for a vehicle as we did, I wouldn’t have thought there would be so many restrictions and nickle & diming. I was so disappointed by the whole experience

Comment: Wife dropped off a New Defender, that I purchased here, for a slipping transmission issue. Service Manager stated top her (before even looking at the car) that she must be mistaken. Its probably just her not knowing about driving these cars (she has owned and driver, a Velar, two full sized Range Rovers - Supercharged, an AMG GT Mercedes and a A7 Audi - but apparently to the service manager, she doesnt know). Then after they test drove it, they decided to keep the vehicle, because it was obviously slipping (no apology). Then to make matter worse, she was given a courtesy vehicle and told that if she drives it more than 50 miles, she will have to pay .30 cents per mile, also stated that if her car is done at noon, she has until 5pm to drive the 47 miles to this dealership to pick it up - or will be charged 100.00. No estimate of when it will be done, just sit around and wait.This has GOT to be the worst customer service, EVER. Oh, if your day is going so well, that you feel like you may want to add some frustration to it, ask to speak to Manager Tim Wallace, who is a complete disaster of a manager.

However, I cannot express enough how terrible this dealership is. I have never been treated so poorly by a car dealership in my life. Their motto is the opposite of the norm--rather than the customer is always right, they approach you with the maxim that the customer is always wrong.My experience has not only guaranteed that I will never go to this dealership again, but has turned me off to the Land Rover brand as a whole. So if you have an unexpected car problem, not uncommon, good luck. I was shut down immediately.Also every time I get my car returned, there are black marks on the sides that I have to buff out. I take excellent care of my car so Im aware of every mark. This time one of the marks didnt buff out, but Ill see if my son can help me. Said 8-14 days before they will even look at the vehicle since they were understaffed. No loaner vehicles, so I had to pay for a rental car, which they refuse to cover. The car knocks and pings even with Premium unleaded, which Martin said is not uncommon either. This vehicle and service is a joke.

There was some confusion with the Loaner Agreement provided by Leah Dannals. Specifically, she marked the tank as full when it was, at best, 3/4 full when I picked up the loaner. Also, the date of return was wrong. I was concerned about that considering the Agreement states: If the Vehicle is not returned by the date and time stated in this agreement or according to the below notification, User shall pay the Company $100.00 per day.It was all straightened out in the end and all worked out fine. I had a friend of a friend tell me to reach out to Jeff Ho. It was Jeffs day off, but we talked, texted and came to an agreement on the price of the car I was interested in and what they would give me for my trade in. That whole process took about an hour. I then went to the dealership and met with his associate Don Cross who took us on a test drive and help with all the paperwork. No surprises but more importantly, NO BS! Both Jeff and Don were very straight forward and easy to deal with. Additionally, I got to the dealership about 15 minutes before closing. We chose to have it detailed as well. The interior is completely white leather and they did a beautiful job with it as well as the red exterior. Our service advisor Migual Rivera has always been awesome as well as Jordan, who as we have a total electric vehicle and live in the low mountains, actually found us another I Pace as a loaner so we didnt have to fill the gas tank upon return. I was on the verge of trading in my Range Rover for an Audi because of the horrible service I’ve received from JLR San Diego and their inability to repair my vehicle after four attempts on the same issue. Comment: Worst service ever! The service advisors lie to you, they destroy your car and blame you, and they treat women like dirt. I brought my 2018 RR Velar in because the fuel sensor stopped working and after 10 weeks in the shop, over 3 months, they told me it was from a fender bender I was in 4 years earlier. I was yelled at, spoken to like a child, spoken over, humiliated, lied to and then they rolled their eyes at me when I came to get my vehicle. NOW read this carefully- they damaged the U Joints in my driveshaft while repairing the fuel sensor and told me that my car was near the end of its life- my car has 27,700 miles on it--- yes only TWENTY SEVEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED miles and the insisted that my car is near the end of its life. They even said, if they had not caught it now, it would have cost me big time in a few thousand miles. I have never driven off road, the car is garage kept and aside from the fender bender that had NO damage except for buffing out the scratch, and my car is near the end of its life. Do Range Rovers only last 30,000 miles?? To add to this- I also own a 2019 Jaguar and the service advisor LIED and told me it was out of warranty. Jaguar San Diego confirmed what my paperwork said that I have 18 months left!Trust me I could go on, this experience was the WORST!!!

The earliest appointment I could get there was November 18, 2022 for updating touch screen. With this system malfunctioning it created a safety problem and hazard which I felt could be done quicker for a 2 hour job which concerns safety.So, I called Jaguar/Land Rover in Carlsbad and got an appointment for the next day at 11:00am and was greeted by friendly service staff and was helped by Miguel Rivera who took care of my computer update issues. Off he went to retrieve the RR Velar that we had seen online. Test drove it, loved it. Started talking numbers, told him I had already been preapproved from a CU I normally go with, he said no worries, what if we can match it or beat it? I said sure let’s see. And surely enough on the last push from the sales manager, Tom with the bank, they beat my interest rate I was approved for. Finance was a breeze minus a little printer hiccup that they couldn’t control. I didn’t want any other options on the car, and she wasn’t too pushy, explained each option and why.Definitely will be coming back to see Kevin and Tom when in need of another Range Rover.God Bless the Queen. Comment: Honestly not great. It took 2 months to get my car repaired there. When I initially had it towed there, I was told the dealership did not do loaner vehicles resulting in me renting a car for 2 weeks (costing an unnecessary $2000) in a high market until I found out that the dealership does do loaner vehicles and was given one. When I finally was notified my vehicle was ready, I was told it is running fine now, but there were a few additional repairs that would need to be conducted in the future. Despite learning this when I came to pick it up, I drove it home to immediately find my engine smoking. When I opened the hood I found my engine coolant completely empty. I have since learned that my vehicle still cannot hold coolant causing it to leak profusely and making my vehicle ready to overheat at any time. I spent about $4600 and $2000 on a rental car just to have my vehicle back to square one. Even when it was being worked on my service rep, Matt, was nearly impossible to get ahold of and would never return calls. All in all some of worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Comment: After receiving a flyer in the mail today from Jaguar Carlsbad extolling their highly trained technicians and cutting-edge diagnostic equipment I just had to share the experience we had at their dealership.We have a 2007 XJ8 with only 67K miles and we love it. Obviously we dont drive it too often, mostly for luxury trips to Vegas. Unfortunately, due to infrequent operation, the battery died and it wasnt until we had to get our smog renewal test that the onboard ECU had lost the data required to pass the test. Under California law, smog testing now requires 100% of all test criteria to pass or no registration renewal will be given.We figured not a big deal and were told to just drive the car on a few local trips and the computer would collect the necessary data and then it would reset the monitors and pass the smog test. So we drove the car over 200 miles at different times and distances over the next two weeks, but no luck, we were told by the dealership we just needed to drive it some more. Over then next 3 weeks we drove another 650 miles, here, there, and everywhere, but the ECU wouldnt reset.Now, with the renewal deadline approaching fast, we decided to have the Jaguar Carlsbad service department solve the problem, which they said theyd be happy to do . . . of course for a fee. Fine, we just need to get our beloved XJ8 license renewed, which we cant do until it passes the State smog test.Rather then drag through al the sordid details, bottom line Jaguar Carlsbad had the car for 4 days, ran test after test, put ice on the motor to make it think it was winter, on and on. However, when we were told we could come and pickup the car, (1) the ECU computer still wouldnt reset properly to pass the test, and (2) we were our over $400 for their expert service support.So how did we get our XJ8 registered? We had to make an appointment through the State for a California Smog Check Referee program from the Bureau of Automotive Repair to have the vehicle analyzed. For us, the closest location was in Hemet, CA . . . another long drive. The technician worked with the car for over and hour, evaluated all the various operating functions the old fashion way using tailpipe sniffers and more.The outcome: The technician was satisfied that the vehicle met all the necessary California smog guidelines and authorized the license renewal, even though the ECU monitors still were not properly set. Could Jaguar Carlsbad been more business savvy . . . Absolutely.When they realized their best technicians could figure our why THEIR Jaguar automobile wouldnt perform per factory specifications I would have thought the manager would have said:Were really sorry and we just cant figure out whats wrong with your car. Youll need to apply to the State of California for special smog testing dispensation. But to make up for your trouble, not having your car for 4 days, and having to travel somewhere for additional testing . . . We wont be charging you for not finding the problem. Agai8n, were really sorry aboutTHATS NOT WHAT I HEARD! Instead, in essence, I heard HERE IS YOUR BILL FOR OVER $300 FOR NOTHINGEPILOGUE: December 2021 - Although we were able to finally get the Jaguar to pass smog we knew a new car would be in our future so a few months ago we began looking seriously.We like the newer Jaguars but with the lack of reliable service we kept looking. Mercedes, BMW, and . . . . The decision - a Tesla Model S Long Range.

Comment: Service department communication is incredibly poor. I’ve dropped my 2019 vehicle off on two separate occasions in the past six months for two different issues plus a standard service. Both times three+ days passed with no updates and I’m chasing them for an update. This past time when I called a was told parts will be in in the morning and I would receive a call around lunch time with an update. Two days later and I’m calling them back again asking for an update since they didn’t call as promised. Really poor customer service compared to other dealer service shops I’ve used. Would recommend other dealer service.

Comment: At first nobody would offer us any help we looked at there entire inventory for like 30 mins and nobody would come up to us 🤔 we were actually here to drop off our 2007 Range Rover for a recall.....so I was like what the heck usually you cant get them to leave you alone...lol so I went inside and asked for info to the guy at the desk and he didnt know how to help...🤦🏽♂️ but then I heard someone behind me can I help you...?? I asked him about the recall and he said let me check im not sure but I will find out for you..... He did get us our answer he also informed us of the current specials going on and he was so helpful without ever being pushy that we left with a brand new Range Rover and he got the sale Thank you Don!

Comment: On 8/9/20, my wife and I purchased a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE.My wife and I were looking for a particular vehicle and Don was able to find us the exact one we wanted. It was late and the whole team stayed after (without rushing us) to complete the process. Dealerships are hard to deal with sometimes but for some reason Land Rover Carlsbad felt like immediate family. Don was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. He went above and beyond for us getting us the deal we wanted, did not rush us, and stayed over making sure we understood all the functions of the vehicle. I guess you would say some of this stuff is expected but we all know if you have ever purchased a vehicle it doesn’t always happen this way. This was a big purchase for my wife and I and we really were able to enjoy the experience. We met the General Manager Anthony who was appreciative of our purchase and congratulated us. We also dealt with Matt who worked in financing. He was extremely knowledgeable, presented us all our options, and was extremely funny.Overall if your looking to purchase a Land Rover or a jaguar you HAVE to come here . The best team atmosphere coupled with the highest end of professionalism. I was extremely satisfied and pleased!

Comment: I was shopping for a new vehicle and found it at Hoehn Jaguar. I filled the information online and Tom called me right away. We discussed what I needed to do. We completed the transaction over the phone and email. I picked up my new Jaguar e Pace the next day! The customer service is amazing.

Comment: Terrible service... I arrived 20 minutes before closing time to shop for a Range Rover. Brian told me it was too close to closing to take a test drive. I then asked if I could at least sit in the car and was told that it was too close to closing to get the key. Every experience with a Hoehn dealer is terrible. The next morning I went to San Diego Land Rover and bought an $85k Range Rover Sport HSE. Amazing service and customer respect. Don’t waste your time with the Hoehn clowns.
