Comment: This review is well over due. I’ve been with State Farm/Jerry Selvitella for close to 10 years. I was with another company and never heard from the broker except with yearly increase in insurance, even though the cars were older and we had a great driving record. So I decided to contact Jerry. So glad I did! He was with us when our children became drivers, accidents, and new cars. Every time giving us impeccable service and the best price. Jerry has been through my daughter just starting to drive to now buying her first car. He helped her with decision making of what car would be more expensive to insure. Thank you for your patience during that process.I want to say what a good company State Farm is. Many of my neighbors stated on Nextdoor they are being dropped by their insurance company due to fire risk, even though we are in a suburban area, not rural. Majority of the responses said go to State Farm. Also, State Farm gave us a significant rebate due to lack of driving during covid. Giving money back! What company does that?! Based on friend’s recommendations, reviews and research I chose the Jerry Selvitella/ State Farm Insurance agency.Jerry invited me to his office, we chatted about my family life/homes/cars. He pointed out the benefits of bundling my home and car insurance. He explained the costs/saving clearly. Now here is where it got to make me feel special. I was unaware of a personal liability umbrella policy. Again he succinctly showed where this policy covered everything the other policy’s didn’t or where it exceeded coverage. It made me feel safe. On the few times I had questions I felt respected. Staff was courteous. Phone calls were answered promptly and also the calls returned. I highly recommend them for any of your insurance needs.I recently experienced a total loss of my vehicle while traveling out of state. Jerry and his team were very caring, professional, and amazing throughout the claim process! It can be very overwhelming after an accident. They made the process easy from the moment I called to report my claim to the 800-number to settlement so I can purchase a replacement vehicle — which all happened within a matter of a few days! Every step of the way was explained in detail and handled very professionally. I enjoy speaking with any of his staff whom I feel I’ve gotten to know personally over the years. Comment: Can’t say enough about Jerry... we were acquainted with Jerry from our kids school ... on his own jerry reminded me in the schoolyard to call our agent a number of times to take advantage of discounts... when our tree fell he not only helped me but contained our agent to assist us ... after many years of his thoughtful and timely advice we switched ... wouldn’t you know it we almost immediately had an auto accident... Jerry happened to be near by and personally showed up before police and fire department that night drove my daughter and dog home and arranged for a car after business hours ... like to see a gecko do that!... Jerry has on his own without compensation helped our family before he was our agent and has become a part of our family since becoming our agent!... not a bad deal!

Last years fire in Santa Rosa burnt 2 pieces of rental property we had. Jerry heard about the fire, called us to check, and then contacted State Farm to get our claim started in less than 10 hours. We had claim adjusters contact us and were out to see the property in 24 hours after Jerry started out claim. Thats what I call outstanding customer service!!. At this point, almost 15 months into the re-build, it looks like Jerry insured our properties correctly to cover all of the expenses involved.

Comment: Over the last month and a half, I experienced an unfortunate situation with my car. From Day 1, Jerry and his staff at State Farm were ON IT. The response times, communication and support I received from them was unparalleled. When you think of having to deal with Insurance companies, you often think of the stigmas associated, but I honestly can’t say enough good things about the service and support I received from Jerry and his team at State Farm. They totally debunked those stigmas and proved that they really do have the best interest of their clients at heart and will not settle until the client is happy. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of what could have been a really frustrating and bad experience, but with the partnership of my Agent Jerry Selvitella and his team, I am in awe of how they turned a negative experience all the way around. How often can you call an office or a company and get put on the phone immediately with your agent? How often does the staff respond to your emails literally within minutes? Customer Service like that does not exist anymore or is extremely rare, but you will absolutely feel that level of partnership with Jerry and his Team. I would be remiss if I did not commend Prestann for her outstanding service and support as well! She is wonderful and they were with me every step of the way. I am truly grateful for their services and cannot recommend them enough!
