My first visit to the shop I was over the moon I am allergic to dairy this finding vegan ocean made me super happy I had the chocolate flavor it was very delicious. Then I went in a second time and this time I want with the other flavor it was birthday cake such a great idea until I had my third bite it had a bitter after taste I figure I should let them know I called and the kid on the phone said he would try it then he said it was skhalkie but he did not taste the bitterness. My point is try before you buy it.
The ice cream was fantastic, with options for shakes, malts and making your own ice cream sandwiches. The servings were also generous and the prices werent bad. There was a large selection of old style candies that could be bought in bulk. The line was long so there was a wait but the line moved quickly and was well worth it.
They serve very good ice cream and arent too busy during the day but are extremely busy at nights and dont serve cones that I would consider small. Their small size on a cone is like a large to me. It had a great selection of ice cream and good outdoor seating though. I would recommend this place if you like a lot of ice cream. I didnt get a good look at their other desserts but they have a lot of toppings and chocolate choices also.
Great little shop in East Grand Rapids. Been in business forever. Selection of ice cream could be better but the make up in candy selection, service and overall quaint surroundings. I would def. say if youre looking for a good fix; cant go wrong. One suggestion: more variants/flavors of ice cream please.
An adorable joint in the gaslight area of Grand Rapids. Yummy Ice cream and candy . The ambiance is just amazing with room outside to enjoy your treat with friends and the four legged ones as well. The staff is super friendly and thought its not the 31 flavors like some other joints what they do serve is delicious and generous
Keep in mind their scoops are HUGE so you really get what you pay for! They have so so many flavors and offer milkshakes and floats. They have some candy here but definitely not a good variety. It is so tiny and it gets very busy! So you can be waiting in an extremely long line with annoying people for a very, very long time before you can even order.
We make it to jersey about once every week or so. The atmosphere is awesome, every kids dream. From the old fashion candy jars to the toy train that lines the top of the walls all the way around the store. The minute you open the door the smell of homemade waffle cone hits your nose. A little pricy for ice cream, but the servings are generous. I highly recommend this nostalgic ice cream and candy shop for kids of all ages!
As busy as they get on the early days of the year that get everyone out of the house and walking the streets of East Grand Rapids, they always have sincere smiles and handle the rush of people wonderfully well for the amount of pressure their job has. I recommend this place for everyone, especially as a family tradition. I went when I was little and today I shared my first memory with my 2 year old son of our visit here. He loved every lick of his ice cream and thats a wonderful memory to have thanks to Jersey Junction
Ice cream is quite good, nothing particularly out of the ordinary in terms of flavor combinations. The charm comes from the vibe they have of great employees and lots of vintage elements (including candy). Some outdoor and indoor seating available. Place tends to be packed but the line moves quickly in the summer.
Very busy, cute and retro feel. Some of the candy brings back memories. They have a few vegan options, I wish they had more. I get stuck deciding. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it when you’re out on a nice day by the lake. Met some nice people here. The staff was funny too. One of them farted, it stunk and they were trying to figure out who it was. Sorry staff. You still rock. Keep up the good work.
Jersey junction is the ice cream place to go-to in the region. The space and offerings are amazing along with simply the best staff. Have been numerous times prior to new ownership, and with the new ownership it has gotten even better!! Super respectful of covid situation. 10 stars if possible
Move over Ben and Jerrys. We havent succumbed to the siren call of Jersey Junction in years, but brought a friend to Happy Hour at Carolina Low Country Kitchen and took a walk past the Junction afterward. Just had to share that with him too. Oh my word, wed forgotten how amazing their ice cream is and how many incredible flavors they offer. Will now try to forget again, lest I turn into a balloon sampling all that creamy deliciousness.
Although this is only a three season location, its always a nice treat to go and get a quick tasty bite to eat, a sweet treat. They have a variety of yummy candies and ice creams. They have plenty of seating, both inside as well as out. Tables have always been clean and clear of trash. And staff is quick and friendly. Been in business for over can only say theyve gotten better over time.
This place is so cute! I recommend the windmill cookie ice cream. You can get ice cream and candy and some food here. Go in the afternoon so you can catch it when it isnt too busy. You get a lot more ice cream than you would expect for the smaller size cones so be prepared! Also you can get some old school candies that are a lot harder to find, so thats a fun activity for people who want to reminisce or kids who have never had them.
Jersey Junction is the best place for ice cream in East Grand Rapids. Service was outstanding. She didnt even flinch when my son ordered a chocolate malt on a very busy evening with a huge line of people waiting. The line moved quickly and the ice cream was so good. Check out the Lego Jersey Junction while you are here.
Jersey Junction has been a local favorite in Easy Grand Rapids for decades and is a must-visit destination in the summertime. The menu is simple, with only about a dozen ice cream flavors to choose from, including fruit sherbets, which keeps the overwhelm to a minimum. Pair a visit here with a stroll to the library around the corner, or John Collins Park by Reeds Lake, or any of the many good eateries and shops nearby.
Nice local ice cream shop. Nothing super special about this place as they just serve Hudsonville ice cream. They do have a lot of other typical ice cream shop choices (flurries, banana split, etc.). It is mostly the location that makes this ice cream shop a fun place to stop by and then take a walk.
Come for the experience ignore the costI find this place more expensive than most ice cream joints, but it is the experience of watching the Polar Express train go around the track, sitting outside with friends or walking to the lake while enjoying ice cream. The ice cream in s good and a lot of different flavors
Ive been going to jersey junction for 25 years now. Its been my favorite place since I was a child and it still is at almost 30 years old. Cant wait to take my lady and her kid this awesome and old school candy and ice cream shop! although I havent seen the train on the inside run in quite some time.
I visited 3 ice cream shops near the n.e. area and had no luck finding a shop that could do banana splits. I then proceeded to call five more ice cream shops within a 10 mile radius (I was jus that desperate ) and still luck. How could it be spring and no I cream shops are either open or just cant do a banana splits I asked myself...... ? Almost out of options I stumbled across jersey junction. .. aaahhh! Heaven sent. Best banana split I had in a while , cant wait to return with my fam for a treat...

2022-05-23Great ice cream. The personnel is fantastic. The ice cream is very tasty. The sizes are enormous. You have a little space to be seated but it is very nice with interesting old things. You have great time there. It is ideal for children.

2022-05-31My cousin and I have been coming to Jersey Junction since elementary school, after being lifelong EGR residents. We were the only people in the shop and my cousin asked “What’s in the Milky Way?” A young male worker scoffed and rudely replied as if we were bothering him, “I don’t know, you can just look at the wall.” I myself used to work at an ice cream shop and couldn’t believe the lack of customer service at this place. My cousin ordered a sugar cone and the other young male worker did not even ask what size they wanted. This is such a disappointment. The atmosphere is nothing like it used to be.

2022-05-05Took my kids here, seeing they are open still 10pm as advertised, so we thought. No closed sign at all. But told my family and another couple that they are closed. But clearly there where others walking out the door. Please get your hours correct. As this is not professional.

2020-08-27This is a great ice cream shop. There is a nice selection of ice cream flavors, homemade waffle cones (it smells divine when you go in), and more candy choices than a person could ever eat. The shop displays a collection of local and dairy-related memorabilia which is fun to look at while waiting in line. Adorable antique school desks are a great place to sit and eat a cone, and there are also tables available inside and out. My son loves to see the Polar Express model train that runs around the top of the shop. My parents went here for their first date over 50 years ago.
