Comment: I took my drive retest for my unrestricted Class B license at the West Sacramento DMV test location and passed. I initially spoke with David several times and needed more time to take my second test, as I was in the process of moving. He mentioned I could apply for an extension; without him I wouldnt have known it was possible to do that. It saved me from having to do the written tests and endorsements all over.Today my mentor was Mike. We drove the area, and helped me brush up on my skills and which signs I might need to watch out for. He was very thorough. Without a doubt helped me focus on areas of needed improvement, which got me through the test with flying colors! Thanks to all who helped at Jiffy.

Comment: I paid for Jiffys 2-day rental/training program in West Sacrament and drove from Southern California to attend. I have to say that I couldnt be happier with my trainer (Dale) and my overall experience. I struggled a bit with my parallel parking, but Dale was very patient and gave me honest and constructive feedback/advise/criticism which lead to me passing my Pre-trip, Skill and Road test and obtaining my Class A license on the first try. David who works at the Redding location, was also very helpful and communicative while providing all my options and setting up the training for me from start to finish. Comment: Excellent program! The staff was very patient and extremely organized. I had no experience driving a truck or backing up a trailer and my instructor Chris was very specific and made me feel 100% confident for my test. I would recommend learning how to drive a manual transmission prior and most importantly just listen to exactly what you’re instructor tells you as they make it clear that they really want you to pass!

Comment: I BEG YOU ALL GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY!!!I had better luck at Easy Truck Rental where they actually care if you pass, Ali, the owner at Easy goes as far as staying with you after hours to pretty much guarantee a pass and he takes the time to actually work with you and get you in with DMV. Jiffy will take your money even if you never step foot in a truck! READ their contract carefully before you sign because you will pay the price no matter what the reason! The other bad reviews Jiffy has throughout seem pretty legitimate and of course in their counter statements they blame everyone else instead of taking responsibility for their 23+ years of mistakes! Don’t bother with a rebuttal(I’m sure you can’t help it, I bet you will)I’ve seen and heard it all, THANKS FOR NADA! 👎🏽

Comment: Jiffys truck rental is a joke. I needed my class B for a promotion to drive a fire engine. I had my date with jiffy on October 1st. Turns out I needed to turn in my class B license on September 17th. So I call jiffy up to see 8f they have a sooner appointment. They said yes they can help me, but I doubt they even looked for any sooner appointment cause when I called to cancel he told me I should have called to get a sooner appointment, I would have helped you out. This school is a joke they just want your money they arent there to help you out

Comment: Jiffy’s was totally worth the price and the trip for me, I needed to get my CDL and the DMV’s in Southern California had no appointments until late November. I called Jiffy’s and spoke to David who put me on a waitlist for cancelled appointments through Jiffy’s. David called me back and said he had a cancellation for a two day mentoring and DMV test in three days. I packed up and drove 8 hours to West Sacramento where I met Dale, Dale was very patient and a excellent mentor. I left West Sacramento with my CDL, I was very happy with David, Dale and Jiffy’s. Thanks again.

Comment: Awesome trucking school! I’ve been to other trucking schools in the past and they do not compare! My instructor was Dan. Awesome old school guy, super informative, has no problems touching up your weaker skills, explains everything to your understanding. Very chill/relaxed training session. Covered everything from beginning to end during the learning process. I took a one day, 5 hour course and passed first try with some experience in the past, of course. Still, this was the first school I was successful with and would recommend anyone to try this school first. Even if it’s a commute. Worth your money, worth your time. Excellent school, couldn’t be happier with my results.

He had me drill pretty hard on all the pretrip inspections and was patient with me teaching me how to parallel park. Thanks to Mike, when it came time to test I was dialed.

Participated in single day truck rental with mentorship.Office staff, primarily David was extremely helpful in coordinating appointment time with DMV and getting my CDL test/ rental scheduled in a very timely manner. Truck was very new, low mileage, clean and easy to drive. I passed my CDL test, and I credit my mentor for honing my ability as best as he was personally capable with the tools he was given.Test day punctually began to a good start with provided mentor. Mentor was very knowledgeable about required tests. Mentoring/ teaching approach was fairly rough around the edges and deteriorated from the end of the first hour until he had an emotional meltdown and would not communicate with me until I urged him to take it easy. The catalyst for his meltdown was that we had a disagreement regarding the CA CDL manual and testing aids you are permitted to use during the test for the walk around. At one point during the extended emotional meltdown, the gentleman even resorted to accusing me of having a semi-common learning disorder. Either way, I have thick skin and his thoughts had no bearing on my later success.I was compelled to write this review not because I wanted to, but I felt it was a public service I needed to undertake. The day following my test, I spoke with a logistics vendor my company utilizes and he told me of a story where the same gentleman lambasted his learning disabled son in a near same manner. His son did not pass his test that day, and came back for an additional day, at an additional cost with another instructor who successfully helped the young man pass his CA CDL test. After learning of this, I endeavor to see that my mentor have a career change.Everyone has weaknesses. It is the job of a good teacher to aid a pupil in his/ her area of weakness while exhibiting care, and giving dignity to the pupil.

Comment: Absolutely amazing place. The owner paired me up with a great instructor. They are very affordable and helpful. I reccomend them to anyone that is wanting to get their CDL. Jiffy sent me all the information to study for their trucks in particular. So when its your time to take the actual test you will be ready for the walk around, air brakes and driving test. This place actually cares. My boyfriend got his license through Jiffy. As well as many other people we know. Plus their trucks are clean and well maintained. Makes my own truck feel like a beate . Lol. Best of luck to all.

Comment: Definitely not worth it, Would only recommend if previously had a CDL. To expensive for the price that they offer and hours of training that comes included. Was a student at Northwest Lineman College and could say and vouch that also other students would not recommend, head down to Sacramento or look for other schools and pay the extra dollar for the proper training and hours that you need.

Comment: Been a driver for over 22 years ( class c ) wanted to step up . First tried passing the test on my own,lets just say that disnt work out too well. Contacted jiffy a d they were confident that they could get me to pass this time. They sent study material ( use it ). I drove 600 miles to the Redding location as it was the fastest appointment I could get. Well worth the drive. Was greeted professionally, went over a few basics and right out to the yard for hands on instruction. We spent 5 hours drilling walk around and air brakes the 2 hardest things to get through. Pay attention to what they are teaching you, they do it in a specific order using very descriptive wording as that us what the DMV inspector wants to hear.i passed and it was well worth the drive, time and cash spent. Anyone that negatively reviews these guys either did not study and pay attention or would be better off as a crossing guard than operating a commercial truck. THANKS JIFFY your whole staff was professional, knowledgeable and patient as hell.Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to advance your career without spending 1000s at a trucking school.Remember study study study there are no for sure in testing but if you put in the work you will pass

Comment: I was given great advice, they tell you everything you need to know to pass, you do need to study regardless but they send you a great study packet as well, if you do as they teach it youll pass. I got there in the morning and left in the evening with my Class A! Well worth the money and great instructors. I dont ever leave reviews for anything but their service is great! Ignore the bad reviews those people obviously didnt study or just flat out cant drive!

Comment: This place is exactly as advertised.Do exactly what they tell you and you will pass.Any bad reviews are from folks simply not prepared. You must be able to drive and be willing to put forth the effort. They rent you a truck and tell you exactly what you need to pass the local DMV practical exams. The rest is up to you.No one can guarantee you you will pass. Thats impossible, because passing is up to you and your abilities. They give you the tools necessary, you still have to be able to understand and use those tools.The equipment was in perfect road worthy condition and very easy to drive and perform skills tests due to the upkeep and maintenance of the truck.Paul was my instructor and my experience was awesome. I was extremely nervous about the exam and Paul was insistant that I follow his curriculum. If you follow the study guide verbatim and come prepared, you will pass. I would not have been able to do it without him! Thanks Paul.Thanks for the truck rental and the guidance towards my pretrip, airbrake, skills and road tests.Passed first try, thanks to Paul and the rest of the team at Jiffys.

They showed every step of their truck to take straight to DMV. I was able to pass same day with their five hour crash course about their truck. A day very well spent. Thank you to all at Jiffy’s for what they do!... especially at the DMV they waited in lines, so I had a total of 5 min in the office.

Comment: I got my class B in May by using jiffys training and truck and two months later, I repeated the process and got my class A. Both were on my first try with no issues! When I got my B in may, I literally had NEVER even been in a commercial vehicle. They walk you through step by step of what DMV expects/requires and are extremely easy to comprehend. I was lucky enough to work with Miguel both times but all staff was very friendly and helpful. Ive seen several posts about the price being too high and people complaining about it. Get over it, you get what you pay for and these guys are top notch! If you want your CDL, this is the ONLY place to go!

Comment: School seems really good. Think I just got a driver on his off day. Driver was more worried about his coffee, cellphone calls, soda, cookie, food. Think he smoked a whole pack while I was there. It really was distracting. In the end I did not pass. Think I could have pulled it off in one day with just a little more time and concentration.Really think a study guide before I showed up would have been key.

The skills test was my biggest worry but they gave me some great pointers which really made the difference. There routine for the pre-trip inspection is spot on and couldnt have been made any easier.
