Always been good. The only issue I had this trip is the attendant when I ask about my right rear tire pressure, said it was faulty and needed to be replaced. I told him I would do that next spring because the truck was going into storage for the winter. After leaving, I realized he had turned off the other three tire pressure indicators so now I cant monitor the other three tires. I will take care of it when I get back in the spring.
Well, when guys asked me about my tire pressure they didnt put in enough air in my tires. With the kind of truck I have makes a huge difference. So they only put in 60 and told me that it would go up. It never did I had to put in air cause my back tires need to be at least 80. It says that right in the door. They kept chatting about the oil they were putting in saying they didnt have enough. Im sorry but if you dont have enough oil for my truck then you need to let me know. Didnt check my Def fluid. For the price I paid. Wasnt worth my experience.
Randy was our sales rep he is fun to work with and very knowledgeable .He was straight up with us and answered our questions. He met with us the day after the sale to explain all of the options and helped us get set up with On Star (because we did not have time to stay the day we picked it up). Gene came out when we were leaving and thanked us . We are very happy with our purchase
I took my sons vehicle to be serviced. He will be driving it 4 hours away to college this fall and we wanted to be confident he wouldnt have any issues. They changed the oil, rotated the tires, addressed a tire that had been leaking air. We also were having an issue with the transaction control and they repaired that. My appointment was at 9:00am and they had the vehicle ready for me at 11:30 am. Which I didnt think think was to long of a wait. The best part is I have peace of mind that the vehicle is safe & reliable for my son to take with him. Thank you Service Team!!
Highly recommend Randy in sales and Brendan in Financing at Jim Wernig Chevrolet. They answered all of my questions and made everything streamlined for us so that we were able to pick out our vehicle and come in the next day to sign the paperwork. Loved not having to wait around while financing went through. We called and we lucked out with them having a vehicle we wanted. We are local and they held it for us until we could get there later in the day. Thank you again for helping us secure our new vehicle!
I love my new leased car and the salesman was very helpfulHe went over all the new features and spent a lot of time getting meacquainted with them. I had a question about one of them when I gothome and called him. He took care of it right away. I dont think I have evergotten such good service.
My vehicle had a recall on the passengers side air bag. I scheduled an appointment to have the work done. I arrived on time was welcomed and was told what work would be done, I was asked to wait in the lounge and soon was told my vehicle was ready. I collected the paper work and stored it for reference and left. Thanks Jim Wernig Chevrolet
I was hearing a noise under my hood for a few days and I called them on Friday to get an appointment set up with service, I was able to get in Monday afternoon. 1 hour later, problem solved!!! No more noise and I was able to snag a couple pops from the customer waiting lounge 😉😜 awesome, quick, professional work!! I’ll always come here for anything!!!
Very disappointed with the Service Department and the Mechanics. They were unable to find an oil leak on my Brand new 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 after 2 visits, and wanted me to come back for a 3rd visit. I decided to go to another Dealership, where they were able to find the leak within a half hour and make the necessary repairs to my satisfaction. To say the least, I will not ever be going back to Jim Wernig Chevrolet for any Service work.
Took my car in because another mechanic said it needed a BCM. ( Body Control Module). They did not do a diagnostic of their own first. Charged me $800.00 and problem not fixed. Went right back and told them. They charged me $150 for a diagnostic test and would have cost another $1200+ to fix it. Who does a job without diagnosis of their own?! Jim Wernig, thats who.
Brendan nowicki in Gaylord made my first time buying experience the smoothest I could have imagined! He directed me in all of the right ways and answered all of my questions! I absolutely love my new 2021 Chevy Equinox! Highly recommend anyone to come to this dealership.

Jim Wernig Chevrolet and their exceptional team truly set the bar for a perfect customer experience! I was referred to Andy Krajniak and immediately understood why the second I met him. Andy was fun, welcoming, low pressure and very informative. Andy walked me through the entire process, took time to get me set up with the MyChevrolet app, and truly made buying my Tahoe a pleasant and seamless experience!!I also left my vehicle with JW’s Service Center to have a few accessories added and those guys were awesome!! Jim Wernig has always treated us great and thats why we will come back for service to our vehicles. I was talking with a technician there the other day and I told him how impressed with the fast and courteous service we were, he said they like to take care of their customers vehicles as if they were their vehicles he also went on to explain that Jim Wernig doesnt want their customers to feel like their being pushed through like their on an assembly line and that made our day. Adam made me feel immediately comfortable. He listened to my needs and we came quickly to an understanding. Adam managed to meet my budget rather efficiently. I mostly appreciated having to deal only with one salesperson and not having to wait endlessly for someone to head back and forth to talk to a decision maker. Looking forward to a long relationship with Jim Werning Chevrolet. Also have to mention Brendons patience while guiding me thru a pile (large!) of paperwork.
Casey is very professional..He didnt high pressure us..I believe he would have given us the same treatment even if we would have purchased a 65,000 vehicle. Always remember, maybe at this point we may not have thousands of dollars to purchase a new vehicle. But one day we may and we will remember Casey who treated us respectfully...Thank you. We have been to our share of car dealerships throughout the years in search for a vehicle. From Saginaw, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalkaska, Traverse City. CHRIS was great to work with a couple phone calls and a few emails no haggling back and forth (love that part) He found my truck in the price range i could afford and was NOT talked into something that i could not afford.The gentlemen that helped me with all the paperwork was efficient and and explained to my in a way i could understand (sorry I can not remember his name)i already have recommend several of my co-workers to visit or check out Jim Werning and ask for Chris
Dealt with a young man, Brendon, super nice, we were only there 1/2 hour and drove our new car home. The service was quick and friendly, it’s nice for a change to deal with a car salesman, who can actually help you instead of giving people the run around like most dealerships, Brendon was great as were the other person involved. We need more people like this at dealerships
UPDATE: Took to a reputable Chevy dealer, they diagnosed issues and can fix issue first try.My 3rd attempt at service on new truck, electronics still not fixed. They still cant find metal on metal rattle, absolutely impossible to miss... wish I could attach an audio file to the review. If they cant hear it, they didnt listen. Third strike, time to find a reputable dealership for service.
Brendon was fantastic. I came in and spoke with him for over an hour and a half regarding a trade in, and rather than ruining my credit applying for trucks he gave me ideas on how to bring my principal down dramatically as fast as possible to get me in a truck by the end of the year. Fantastic guy, wonderful company.

We were heading to Indian River to go camping and on our way up the fuel filter in our diesel truck was clogged and we ended up with reduced power. Matt in the service department did everything he could to get us in and back on the road so we could enjoy our trip. Huge shout out to the staff at Jim Wernig if they wouldnt have done what they did, we would have had to wait another day or so to get camping. THANK YOU!!
They took great care of my truck. I brought it in for the check engine light being on. They checked over my truck and found some serious hazards that needed fixed before they cost me a bunch of money. I got a fancy rental truck for the few weeks they had my truck. When i got my GMC back it was complete detail inside and out and ran perfect!
They were extremely helpful and made our visit feel very welcoming. We were immediately greeted at the door and they made sure we were comfortable. (Asked if we were thirsty and if they could get us anything to drink). went to Ford not two hours later and didnt even get a hello when we walked in.
Friendly, capable, caring. I ordered a set of Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors (TPMS) for my 5th Wheel trailer connected to my 2020 Silverado 3500HD with the enhanced trailering system. This feature was new for the 2020 model year. Ed from Parts did a thorough job of helping me research the correct monitors and the process to install and activate them. When I showed up to have them installed Bert from the quick oil and tire rotation department installed them and assisted with the activation. It took longer than planned but they were taking their time to ensure it was done properly. Everything worked as it should. Great job! Special thanks to Ed and Bert for another great experience with Jim Wernig Chevrolet.
Jim Wernig Chevy is a great dealership. My salesman Chris Maxon was willing to do what ever I asked to assist with the leasing process. Chris is a real asset to the dealership with his vehicle knowledge and willingness to assist with all aspects of the process. Brandon in finance was able to answer all of my questions on the finance side of the process and Andy the sales manager was also great. I will continue to do business with Jim Wernig Chevy for all of my vehicle and service needs.
Staff is friendly but lazy. Went to looked at a used pickup and there are no prices on the vehicles. You need to web search on your smart phone to get prices. It was a bit cold so the salesman stayed inside. I had problems getting the information I needed and figured if it was too cold for them to make an effort to sell....it was too cold for me to deal with the frustration.Drove to Bill Marsh Ford. Salesman came out even though prices were posted. Wound up buying a truck after less than an hour.To the owner of the dealership....put the prices on the vehicles. Hire a part time student to hand scrawl the price if everyone else is too lazy. Not everyone has a smart phone or wants to look up every vehicle of interest.You lost a sale today to a cash buyer. Well...maybe not....you likely had nothing in my budget...$20-25k
This past week, our family took a trip up to Gaylord for a family vacation. The brakes suddenly went out on our Suburban, which pretty much left us stranded without a vehicle. I called Jim Wernig Chevy and Josh said his guys would be able to look at it that afternoon and have it fixed the next day - during a holiday week. Not only that, but they hooked me up with a brand new Equinox to loan me so our vacation could continue without missing a beat. This Ohio family of 5 is grateful to Josh, Travis, Steve, and the rest of the crew at Jim Wernig for superior service.
While vehicle shopping all across the state with little luck and a fair share of disappointment in the dealers I interacted with, I happened to locate a used suv at Jim Wernig in Gaylord. I checked it out online, vehicle looked good and it looked just as good once I viewed it in person. Which was a surprise as my past experiences in Grand Rapids and Traverse city had left me skeptical. Dealt with salesman Casey Hogan, great experience. Casey was quick, professional, straight forward and courteous, exactly the kind of person you want to deal with. Made a fair offer and agreed on a price, when I received the vehicle later in the day it was clean and full of fuel, a nice touch that isn’t as common as it used to be. Would certainly do business with Jim Wernig Chevrolet and Mr. Hogan again.
Enjoyed my time at Jim Wernig Chevrolet. Stopped in for some service work and the boys in the service lane were very helpful and pleasant. I believe their names were Matt and Travis if I’m not mistaken. They were able to squeeze me in even though I did not have an appointment. The waiting lounge was nice and comfortable with complimentary beverages and wi-fi. I walked the showroom floor to stretch my legs and the salespeople were very friendly. We chatted for a bit and joked around. They all have very good personalities and treated me like I was a friend. I’m glad I stopped in! Wish I lived in the area so I could stop in more often! A+ service from Jim Wernigs. Was looking to have some warranty work done on my truck and they scheduled me three days out - which I thought was very timely. I brought my truck in at the time we had scheduled and they got it in right away. To my surprise, they even offered to give me a ride back to my work while my truck was being repaired. Matt Smith called me back a couple hours later to let me know the work was done on my truck, went over what had been done, and that it was ready to go for pick up. Got my truck back (still clean inside) and drove away. The problem I was having was gone and my truck was back to driving excellent. I couldnt be happier with the friendliness and customer service from my local Chevy dealership. Again, A+ to them!
Took my leased vehicle here yesterday and had a concern about my AWD. Travis in the service department was excellent. He offered me to borrow a courtesy vehicle to get my errands done, which was super helpful! Today picked my car up and it was washed and vacuumed for me! This place is top notch!
Our Yukon XL broke down on our way home yesterday. We had the vehicle towed here. Being from out of town, we were at the mercy of the tow truck driver that decided where to leave the truck. We were truly blessed that he chose to tow it here! We were impressed from the moment the gentlemen at the service desk (Travis and Matt) fit us into the schedule and had a rental truck for us even before the posted opening hour. Our car was fixed and we were back on the road by 10:00 this morning. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and professional and the repair rates were affordable! Thank you for helping us through a difficult situation!

I was on my way to Drummond Island and had a loud grinding noise coming from the front end of my GMC pickup. I decided to drive to the nearest dealer to see if they could find the problem and hopefully repair my truck. A service technician, Matt, was able to have my truck diagnosed and repaired in less than 1&1/2 hours!! Incredible service! Thank you Matt and Harry/Harrold the mechanic.
We have worked with the sales person (Chris Maxon) previously and as usual his attention to detail regarding what we are looking for is perfect. He also works to make himself and any of the items he needs work with our variable work and availability schedule. We will be returning for any future needs.
Must see Malory!!!I’m not even from the state of Michigan and I have never met a dealership in my entire life that has ever kept their word and under promised and over guaranteed.We got out of the dealership with a $40 a month cheaper car payment, the correct term, and a low interest rate, which is amazing for a first time car buyer.Awesome customer service, family/home feel, for a dealership and speedy response.
We had nothing short of a wonderful experience with this dealership when our transmission went out in our 2012 2500hd on our way to a family vacation. We had it towed to the nearest Chevy dealership on a Friday afternoon knowing nothing about them as we were 4 hours from home. They were able to get the truck right into the service department and unfortunately the transmission did need to be replaced. However the service Advisor Matt and technician Travis were up front on the problem explained what needed to be done. Here we thought our vacation was done and we would be stranded in Gaylord, the owner extended his generosity & kindness beyond words and we were able to continue our vacation. Thank you Jim Wernig Chevrolet for bringing a silver lining to a pretty crappy situation. Great customer service!!Oh and we had 5 crazy children with us under the age of 7, they had a wonderful lounge area offering them beverages and activities.
My husband and i have berm working with Randy at Jim Wernig Chevrolet in Gaylord for abot 10 years now and they excel in friendliness and service. At our age we have begun to lease instead of own and Randy made that transition with us at a great benefit for our budget. Thanks Randy S.!😃
Went here to have tires put on. After getting it back it was making a horrible noise. I took it back the next day to see if the broke something, they came back saying it was the rear brakes. So I had them change brakes and rotors($350). Drove it home just to hear the same horrible nosie. Took it straight back to the dealership....after a 3rd time of being there and long time waiting they come back and say the rear differential is shot! Note it was in good condition before they put tires on the car. They wanted $4000 to fix it.....pass Ill take it to someone that wont break it! I will never go here again! This place will break your stuff and not fix what they broke, then they will diagnose the wrong then just to get more money.
Worst dealership ever! Went up on Wednesday test drove a truck. Was told that we needed a co-signer to get the truck, we said we would be back Thursday! Called at 2pm on Thursday said that we had a co-signer and would be there by 4:30. My husband gets a phone call while on his way to Gaylord that a man walked in with cash and they sold in out from under us! Terrible people!
I brought my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox in as I was having issues with the engine. I purchased the vehicle at a Chevy downstate as that is where I lived at the time. Since the vehicle was still under the 100,000 powertrain warranty, the cost for the repair was only $90.00. I was very pleased that everything was covered. I was offered a courtesy vehicle while mine was in the shop. I was given a 2016 Silverado to drive and it was great. I was very pleased by the service provided.
Chris Maxon made me feel right at home, and went the extra mile for me when the dealership didnt have the EXACT truck I wanted. Not only did Chris find it for me, they had it delivered to the dealership for an easy and seamless experience, I absolutely LOVE my Silverado. Thank you!!
When I left the dearship my left rear tire went flat. I was charge $25 for the repair and asked shouldnt it be free being it was possible the tire damage occurred while in service? He commented he didnt get involved in the politics of the repair. After the balance the aluminum wheel had the incorrect weights installed. They reinstalled the painted weights. Most tire shops fix flat tires free.

NEEDED VARIOUS PARTS FROM TIME TO TIME FOR MY 2003 ROACH COACH TRAILBLAZER!!!! 246,000+ MILES...RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT NEW WITH 4 MILES ON IT!! Excellent Customer Service from Chris Maxon in Sales. Chris is efficient and trustworthy. Chris was one of the deciding factors when shopping for a new vehicle, and now a second vehicle. We have switched from Dodge for many years to Jim Werning Chevrolet. We have had good service from the dealership.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the salesperson Andy and acknowledged by Gene the owner both of them are very accommodating this dealership is immaculately clean the employees are all very knowledgeable about options available on the vehicles andy was very thorough when showing us how everything worked we felt very comfortable there and we were provided with excellent service thank you for the outstanding craftsmanship and quality of our new Silverado|
Went there to get a headlight bulb put in my Escalade, it cost near $300 I ordered the same bulb off line for $40Actually the total bill was $278.76, and the bulb that you were able to get me for $172.98 came from AutoZone in town and every time I go in there to get one theyre $98 plus tax, and the headlight burned out after about 4 months, the new bulbs I bought from locical lighting on line work great they are high and low beam and the cost was a shocking $34.99 and theyre a Sylvania bulb, other than that dont take my review personal, I was just simply saying I was bummed out that you sold me a AutoZone bulb with a 70 something percent markup when I came to the dealership to get oem parts otherwise I could have just bought some AutoZone bulbs and done it myself in my garage
Did not tell me why they took if my engine I had to call after I looked under my hood and it was gone had no idea why and had an oil change a month before and they didnt do everything they were supposed to do ridiculous especially from a Chevrolet dealership experienced people I dont think so lazy lazy lazy

2022-08-02Called you and inquire of an appointment and was given the advice to go to there quick loop. Said accepted competitor coupons but when I got there that was not the case. Makes it hard to change your mind when they are already servicing your car.

2022-03-21My service experience was good, but was surprised when presented with the bill. I thought the service was covered by my Pre-Paid Maintenance Plan. I immediately wrote an email to my sales representative at the dealership, but still waiting for a response.Im changing my review from 2-stars to 5-stars! My sales rep (Chris) contacted me immediately when he saw my review and went to work to clear this up. Within a week, I was reimbursed. I hope going forward, the PPM plan will be checked first, before asking me for my credit card. Thank you Chris and the Jim Wernig team for making this right!3/21 update: had another oil change on Friday. service was great, but the maintenance plan was overlooked again.

2022-03-02Took my vehicle in for service and the tech couldn’t recreate one of the issues I brought the vehicle in for. He kept searching for the problem until he identified it and fixed it. He wouldn’t give up. Jessie was my service tech and he did a great job at finding and fixing the problem. I always take my vehicle To the dealer for service. I’ve been going there since I purchased my in 2015. They are honest, friendly and very accommodating.

2022-04-142019 Chevy Bolt Premier 60 kwh all Electric Vehicles Traction battery replaced here.I got my notification letter, and called them, then They ordered my battery right away. Then called me to set up my installation, after my new battery was in at the dealer. Jim Wernig Chevy Inc. Gaylord Mi. did a great job. And said they dont care where you bought your Bolt.Now it all works perfectly. The Bolt EV certified mechanic said he likes working on EVs.I highly recommend Jims. Give them a call For 60kwh battery replacement. Im So satisfied.....with my results

2022-05-11Salesman declined to honor my GM employee discount, because I was not local, therefore they would not Benefit from being able to service the vehicle. I would recommend to look elsewhere.
