I contacted J.Mills Plumbing because the alert on my sump pump was going off. They were able to get to my house within 24 hours and diagnose the issue quickly. The new sump was installed same day. The entire experience was great and I will contact them in the future when something else inevitably fails.
Ejector grinder pump Repair. Let me tell you. For me to write a review, it had to be a really good experience or a really bad one. Joseph from J-Mills Plumbing was the guy the assigned to do our repair. He communicated with us via text on his arrival window and even let us know when he was in route to our home. From the moment he arrived I knew we were in good hands. HIGHLY respectful of our home. From asking if we wanted him to enter through the walkout or front door (we were in middle of remodeling). He wore booties & was very organized with the handling our removing a nasty, sewer smelling pump from our home. Not a drop of waste hit the floor. He came prepared with a garbage can lined with a heavy leak proof bag. Clearly he was 100% mindful of our home. Then, Joseph sealed the lid with silicone when he was done, something the prior installer did not do. And the cherry on top was when he noticed one of the PVC pipes was loose coming out of the pit, so he used pipe strapping to secure it to a stud. This attachment made all the difference in the world to quiet the cycle down as it used to bang against the wall when the pump shut off. It used to be so loud that I could not shower in the basement when my family was sleeping because it would wake them up. Joseph fixed that & didnt even have to. When he tested the unit after the repair I couldnt believe how quiet it was. So happy. Joseph was also the most professional, nicest guy you will ever meet. Just a great experience all around with him & J-Mills Plumbing.
Friendly, professional, and reasonably priced. We have used J Mills Plumbing a few times now and each call has been a great experience. Even the initial call to set up the appointment is followed up within 30 minutes providing a date and window, sometimes on the same day. Each plumber weve had is very efficient, friendly, and tidy. Its a good feeling knowing we know a plumbing service we can count on in the future. Highly recommended.
Probably the best company out there. Very responsive in all communication. The guy that performed the work (Luke) was friendly, kept me in the loop with everything that he was doing, and just overall a great person. Definitely found a plumbing company to do any work at the house.

The reason for my 4 star review is related to pricing. My research found that the tests themselves are not very expensive, I believe the cost of the panels I need for my refinance are about $100.Because a third-party party draw and drop-off is required I called several different well companies and J. Mills. J. Mills was the least expensive, but the up charge is considerable in my opinion based on the technical expertise required for this task.An itemized break down of what the panels cost and the amount paid in labor would have been helpful I think, but still not changed my review.Additionally as of today 1/5/2022 I have not received conformation that the lab received my samples drawn 1/3/2022. I do realize that there was a significant death that impacted the company so I understand the delay, but a refinance does have a time requirement imposed due to interest rate locks.I would also like to add that J.Mills replaced my water softener in October and I am 100% satisfied with the product and pricing.Edit: 3/22/2022There was an issue with the underwriter on the loan not liking the amount of testing that was done, J. Mills stepped up and created a new report limited to the scope that was requested by the underwriter. Additionally J. Mills offered to work with me if the underwriter demanded a new draw and test, thankfully that did not happen.Sometimes, paying a premium for a reputable company to provide a service has value that is not measured in $$.Thank you J. I have used J. Mills plumbing for several projects in my home. The latest was a repair for a leaking fitting near my pressure tank. Luke was the technician that explained the problem very thoroughly. He was very knowledgeable and professional as was the other technicians I’ve worked with. Service was fast, professional, and prompt. I wouldn’t use anyone else for my plumbing needs.
Like a knight in shining armor, an after 5:00pm plumbing leak was discovered in my apartment building. It was flowing water, and since there were tenant families living there, shutting off the water and waiting for business hours wasn’t an option. No one else was available or willing to come out except J.Mills Plumbing. I called for a emergency service. Spoke with Jay who tried to find one of their plumbers to assist. They were all busy so Jay personally came out, basically immediately. I was so thankful because he saved us. The flooding was stopped and new pipe was installed. Come summer we will have them back out when it’s not an emergency and have them replace some of the older plumbing to ensure this never happens again! Great job and as my wife says, they are our permanent plumbers to call.
Great service. Flynn came out and helped us get a replacement part from Delta that ended up being the incorrect piece from Delta. When we found this out Flynn installed a new faucet for us that day. Great service & great company.
I made a call in the morning within an hour Flynn showed up on site to replace sump pump that broke over the weekend. Outstanding response time and installation. They even support veterans with discount. Highly recommend.

I always use J Mills for all my plumbing needs! They just put in a new well tank today. They are very informative, not pushy at all and very competitive pricing. They quoted the replacement yesterday and was out the next morning. Made sure I understood everything, checked for leaks, and was very friendly and quick! My wife and I own a very busy beauty salon and spa in Brighton, we have 5 shampoo bowls and the busier we get, the more hot water we need. On some of our busiest days, we could run out of hot water in a few hours then have to wait for the water heater to catch up. Obviously, this doesnt lead to a very positive experience for our clients so we had a much larger tank installed by another plumber last April. It quickly became apparent that this new unit wasnt going to cut it either so instead of throwing more good money after bad, we called J. Mills Plumbing.Joe came out right away and had a quote for me that evening. They came highly recommended and now that Ive seen their work in person, I can understand why. These gentlemen are masters of their craft, they were very up-front about recommendations and pricing - very clear and responsive feedback which I appreciate as a business owner. Since were only closed on Sundays, Joe and John shifted their schedules to accommodate us that same week, coming in at 7am on a Sunday and staying until it was done!They removed the recently installed unit and installed a Rannai Sensei tankless water heater that cranks out 8 GPM - more than enough hot water for us. They also installed a circulation system so now we get our hot water much faster. Not only that, they cleaned up a bunch of shoddy work done by other contractors that we hired over 12 years in business - without us even asking - wow. I cant say enough good things about these guys - so many companies these days do the absolute bare minimum and it was VERY refreshing to be treated like our business mattered to them. Ill tell everyone I know who to call when they need a plumber. Thanks Joe and John!

Flynn was super professional and figured out the problem very quickly and made all the repairs and new installation of the outside water faucet with the new inside shut off valve for that faucet. Bright guy who knew what he was doing and took care of everything in a prompt timeframe that was much appreciated! Definitely recommend Flynn and J. Mills Plumbing to other people who need a good plumber!
Lukas was on time and was very knowledgeable, he answered every question I had and gave options for fixing my problem. He gave quotes for every option. I would definitely use this company again.
Flynn came to check a sewage smell in our basement. He was able to detect and fix it right away .He was very kind and went above and beyond and even explained a few things with me in detail .I would recommend mills plumbing and will use them with any future issues we may have.
2022- Review update: I’ll never use them again!! I had an appointment for them to quote additional work at my home. However, today I waited for 5hrs and no one showed. I called the office and left a pleasant voicemail. Joe returned my call quickly stating he had called me multiple times. I had my phone in my hand literally the entire time. While on the phone I double check my incoming calls, text, and voicemails all showed nothing from them. When I suggested that they check their records. After a little back-and-forth he stated “do you want me to come out today or not”. The answer is NEVER the TRUST is broken. In addition, he later sent a break up text, calling me rude (which I was not) and an image of a call log which showed he did call three numbers (2 mine) ALL at the SAME time, 8:15am. None of which rang my line, No voicemail, no text arrival data as in the past. I sent my call log to him showing no incoming calls. Maybe technology failed us both but he could/should have handled this in a much more professional manner. This is why I’ve decided to change my review.2021-Previous service:The team at J. Mills Plumbing is great! This is our second time using their services. Both times they have been very professional, honest, great communication (love the text updates), respectful and they replaced our copper and cast iron drain pipe quickly!! We are very happy to have found a local reliable plumber! Thanks guys!
Be very careful when calling this company for a problem. Will charge 89.00 fee if used or not. Called for a small gas leak in basement. Last year same leak to fix was quoted at 150.00. Today the price was almost 900.00 to fix same leak for estimated 2 hours of work. Refused to have work done when felt being price gouged due to a gas leak that gas company said not an emergency. Always thought this company was reliable and honest, but now not certain. As a follow-up called Consumers Gas after plumber left to inquire about who could fix. They sent a tech out within 1 hour who fixed leak in about 45 minutes at no charge.As a follow up following further discussion thru email I was contacted by J. Mills who called and was sorry for the above. Refunded the 89.00 and wished us a Merry Christmas. I do believe this was all due to some misunderstanding as have used this company in past without issues.
Easily a 5 star experience with this company.My hot water heater died. I called and talked to Charles who was an absolute gentleman and and got me a quote before I committed. He even arranged same day service.The technicians who came to my house, Paul and Luke, were great people. On time, quick, efficient, and cleaned up the tiny mess created while they worked. The work looks excellent and they spent extra time getting the piping look right. Id have a beer with either of these guys.The invoice was exactly what was quoted. No attempts at upselling or nickel and diming.
Emergency call on a Saturday for water leak. Arrived within the time window given. Repair was done promptly.Lucas was professional, polite and answered all of my questions. No other company in the area I contacted could assist that quickly.From my initial call to inquire about the services to the team that arrived.Luke and the team were AMAZING! Certainly eliminating my concerns for a potential bigger problem. I was able to successfully continue my work from home, during the time they were performing the work. Edited to add:-The technician was at my home for just under 1.5 hours, NOT 2.5. This is evidenced by his arrival time of 8 am and electronic receipt of invoice at 9:29 am-NO parts/products were provided. Yes, general costs are always increasing, however, the amount your company charged are well beyond reasonable as reinforced by other reputable plumbing competitors in the area.-NO attempts were made by the company to discuss or address the concerns listed despite a previous phone call and direct email.Clearly, I am not the only one who has experienced this with regards to your company and my review was an effort to provide a warning to others to be prepared for a lack of transparency in invoicing and and to perhaps seek a second opinion on costs prior to agreeing to having ANYthing done by J. Mills.————————————I had used J.Mills in the past and was happy with my previous experience which is what led me to call on them with my most recent concern, however, it seems something has changed in the last couple of years and I no longer feel I can recommend them due to similar concerns mentioned in other reviews regarding vague and exorbitant billing concerns.Yesterday, I requested a service call to check my hot water heater—in particular, the T&P valve they replaced just under two years ago. Since I had this repair made before, I was not unfamiliar with it and was shocked when I was quoted $329 to replace it this time. When I inquired as to why it had jumped so significantly, I was given a generic explanation that it was due to “inflation and rising part costs”. I declined the service at this time and opted to monitor it (simultaneously deciding to get a second opinion).However, while he was here, I asked the technician if he could help get the pre-filter casing for my water softener system unscrewed as it was on pretty tight this last time and I was concerned about breaking it. I did not need the filter changed as I already had one on hand and was able to do it myself, I simply could not get the casing open. Despite mentioning upcharges if he broke it (or the surrounding pipes) in the course of trying, at no time did he share that I would be charged $119 for him attempting to unscrew it. He was able to get it unscrewed and then placed the filter (that I already had in my possession, purchased elsewhere) without my requesting him to do so. Fast forward to the end of the call and I was charged $119 and told that was standard for a “water filter replacement”. This, on top of the $89 service call and an over $20 charge to tighten a valve that he claimed was “a little loose”. While I anticipated more than the $89 service call fee when all was said and done, I was shocked when I was provided a vague invoice for well over $200, especially when no repairs were made or parts provided and the majority of the call involved him looking at my home’s plumbing with a flashlight (I have a simple set up-a ranch home with one bathroom, one kitchen sink and two exterior hose bibs, for reference).I followed up with another local plumber immediately following the service call and then a third later in the day to inquire about the services provided. For the T&P valve repair, both quoted similar amounts to each other with both ending up nearly $200 less than what I was quoted by J. Mills (both sharing that the part itself, the valve, was no more than $30 and that it was a quick repair for an experienced plumber). Also, regarding the water filter casing, both claimed it would have likely been no additional cost since I already had the filter on hand and given that their service calls include the first half hour of work.Therefore, while I am disappointed in this experience, I am grateful to have found two other resources in the area that come highly recommended from neighbors and seemingly more transparent with honest pricing. Had I not had this same repair made in the past, I would have had nothing with which to compare it to and perhaps less of a reason to seek either of the other area plumbers out for future plumbing needs.
We needed a professional to look at various plumbing concerns we had in our home to find out if they were in fact issues that needed to be addressed. He was extremely professional, detailed and informative. He took his time to educate us and was honest about what we did and did not need. Furthermore he did not perform or encourage unneeded services. I would highly recommend J.Mills Plumbing if you want a knowledgeable and honest company!
I had recently moved into my home and the sump pump failed after the strong rains. J Mills was responsive in coming out and replacing the pump. Brandon was very knowledgeable and efficient in getting it done in a confined space. He was very neat and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. He also educated me on the pump and the way it was configured so I was better informed of the process. As they are a full service plumbing company, I will call on them in the future for all my plumbing needs.
The gentlemen from J Mills plumbing were absolutely phenomenal! Huge shout out to Brandon who tackled my difficult project with ease! It was a huge project (updating my 30 year old water system, water heater, softener, iron removal, and a surprise replacement of my pressure tank after a rust spot the size of a quarter gave up and started gushing water!) and a small space to tackle it all in. He was polite, kind, upbeat even though he had a VERY long day, left my house so clean you would have never know he was there and still somehow managed to get it all done in 1 day. I can not recommend these guys enough, and they have certainly earned a customer for life!
Have used them for a few projects around my house. Overall they have done good work. Docking a star because on my latest project, a complete master bath renovation, there was a “miscommunication” that is being left for me to fix and I was hoping for some better customer service and a better attempt to try to make it right given the cost of the project. However I am trying to not let one bad thing outweigh the multiple good things they have done and am willing to give them another opportunity for my future business.

The technician did a very professional job. However the price was outrageous. It was an emergency to me as I was leaving in 2 days and we were at the beginning of a snow storm. I needed it done. I paid the price but I will shop around next time.
The guys that came out including the owner were extremely nice kind and kept me involved in every detail that they were working on. They had a large outdoor job to do never complained, need this so did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. They also have referrals for other jobs as well. Had Brandon and his colleague out to install a water-powered sump-jet back-up device. They were every bit as professional, courteous, informative, and polite as the J. Mills reviews indicated. Im not usually compelled to author online reviews (who has the time?), but I feel that others who need plumbing service could very much benefit from knowing the superiority of the service J. Mills provides.
Replaced our overworked sump pump with a new sump and another pump on battery backup.Would highly recommend them and will use them for all future plumbing needs.

Investigated suspected sump pump failure and found the trip lever jammed. I told them to replace the sump pump it being close to 20 years old. Thier work was impeccable, fast and the service man was courteous and informative. Plus these people respect and love The Lord.
Old tank-style water heater finally died. We decided to have J. Mills install a new tankless, on-demand natural gas water heater. Joe quoted the system and made sure everything was done on time, on budget and exceeded our expectations. We called J Mills to come out when our hot water tank started leaking. We wanted to upgrade to a tank less water heater, so when we called them, we made a appointment for the same day we called. Brandon was able to come out earlier to evaluate our request for a new tank less heater. Brandon and Joe where able to remove the old tank and prep the area for the new installation that same day. We did have to wait 1 day because they had a previous job scheduled for the next day. But they arrived on time, and completed the job by 4pm that same day. Brandon also had a fellow co-worker, a apprentice plumber, install a new faucet we needed to have installed. The price was about what we thought it was going to cost because they installed a Rinnai tank less water heater. Its 95% more efficient that our old water heater, and a 15 year warranty. Thank you guys for a job well done.
It’s hard to find a honest and reliable contractor, J. Mills plumbing is both of those things. I’ve been in commercial restaurant and construction for over 30 years and I know when a contractor is genuine and when they just want my money. These guys will get all of my business now. I wanted to have a service done at my home but once on site they determined it wasn’t needed saving me hundreds of dollars. THEY saved me hundreds of dollars just by being honest. Now I’ll give them the service work that I was going to farm out to other contractors later. If you need a company you can trust, call J. Mills.

My husband and I read reviews online for a reliable plumber and J. Mills did not disappoint. They were professional, very responsive, and they know their stuff! We used them three times already to cap gas lines, install a new water heater, and install a new well tank with new piping since we have moved into our new home. I’m sure it was an easy fix on their part, they were only in my house for 15 minutes. But they fixed my problem and couldn’t have been more professional. I never bring up my military service for a discount anywhere, but they noticed my military clothing in my house and gave me a discount. Great company, great people, will definitely do business with them again
All employees very respectful and professional. Show up on time ready to work. On the expensive side, invoices did not show all work performed and or why the final bill was almost 2 1/2 times the estimate. Make sure they get your approval prior to doing more work and let you know how much more it will cost.
They were prompt in getting me on the schedule, which I really needed and appreciated. Alex was quick and clean to resolve the issue (replace shut off valve under the kitchen sink so I could finish with a dishwasher install.) Price was a bit more than I expected for such a quick repair- BUT the fact that they squeezed us in was worth it. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future.

J. Mills Plumbing is a business that I would highly recommend. They were on time, where honest, installed my water heater and left the area clean and tidy. When I had a problem with what I thought was low water pressure, one of the owners said that he would come out and see what the problem was..........and that was on Christmas Day!! It turned out that it was simply the filter on my kitchen sink that was clogged and I was able to unscrew it and clean it out. They are a fine family business and I would recommend them with enthusiasm. It was a pleasure dealing with them.

Our place needed a whole new sewer line and all new pipes in the basement. It was a huge undertaking. They were amazing total masters of their craft it was kind of amazing watching them go at such a job! Through it all they kept me informed and their were no surprises which is always nice. My first encounter with this company was during the beginning of covid 19 when I found them online. I called them to get a second opinion on work I had recently done by another company. When Brandon left my home, I knew the information that was given to me was honest and straight forward with his findings. He wasn’t trying to tell me something he thought I wanted to hear in order to sell me his service. He was honest and that is something you don’t find in these types of companies now a days. So when it was time to make a decision I called J Mills to let them know I was giving them my business and purchased a water softener from them! The very next day Paul was here to install my water softener with a smile. After installation, he made sure to explain the functionality of the softener itself and the tests he ran. J Mills was quick to get someone here. There was a hiccup sense I rent. They had just left and returned right away Paul explained everything before he started. We had (have) the sulfur smell from hot water heater…installed by others. Contacted Mills based on recommendation by friend. Sold me a pre filter, which helped, but certainly did not eliminate. I also had them install an expensive reverse osmosis at sink. Scheduled them to come back, because rotten egg smell was still bad. Showed up at completely different time than scheduled. Told me they would have to come back and flush hot water tank and that they would have scheduler contact me for appointment. Never contacted.

J Mills has done extensive work in a home I just bought. They are very professional and explain everything very clearly so you can make an informed decision. I have never felt pressured to have any work done. Being a single female, I am very comfortable with all the staff and never feel like they are taking advantage of me. Expensive and dishonest. They wanted to overcharge me for toilet repair, but thats their prerogative. What I didnt appreciate is the convoluted communication and the accusation that we yelled and swore at them and thats somehow why we misunderstood the quote. I promise you nobody even raised their voice. Now Im trying to replace the prefilter on my water softener, which they inspected while they were here, but he screwed it on so tight I might break the pipes trying to get it off. They say they didnt touch the filter, though they have record of inspecting the system and making recommendations about it. Too bad they dont want to take any responsibility. I wouldnt have bothered to review them just for overcharging.
Joe and John and their incredible team have done multiple jobs at our house and we are incredibly happy customers. We HIGHLY recommend them to anyone having water issues. Called J Mills plumbing in despair early Monday morning having no hot water, a wet basement floor, and a Cold showered wife. Alex returned my call promptly and listened to my situation and need of a timely solution. Tech Paul contacted me shortly afterward via text and phone call with ETA and showed up timely and ready to go. He was very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable of the task at hand. After some prep work on removal of the old tank, he went and picked up a new tank to install. While he was installing it I had to leave for an appointment and left him in the hands of the now cooled down wife. It was a complicated job. John came up with a creative and cost effective solution. John, Joe and the team worked really hard from beginning to end to troubleshoot each complication and to also avoid additional costs (i.e., they took the difficult route for them to save us from having to replace concrete). We had an emergency where a pipe broke and our water was flooding our basement. I called J Mills and they sent someone out. Joe arrived very fast and got right to work. He stopped the flooding and replaced the broken pipe. Very quick service, very friendly and saved our home. Highly recommend.
Excellent customer service. I had an emergency plumbing issue come up about a year ago. I didnt end up doing service with J.Mills at that time, but the good discussion I had stuck with me. Fast forward to today, I had another plumbing issue in a house that is sold and has buyers inspection on Sunday. Other plumbers I called laughed when I requested fast service due to back-ups from COVID. J.Mills had someone at my house within 2 hours. Their friendly and effective service included showing a novice homeowner an easy fix instead of taking advantage and charging for unnecessary parts and labor. And I need to highlight their use of technology with text messages and emails to confirm appointment scheduling, technician en route, technician arrival, etc. Completely different than other plumbers in this area. Called Monday AM about a leaking water heater. Gentlemen was extremely polite and professional. Asked when I needed the work done and I said”yesterday!” He offered 12 noon until 4pm as a slot which was fine with me. Paul arrived at 230pm introduced himself,masked and put on gloves. All the time he explained what he was doing and clearly knows his trade. As he was finishing up, he asked if we needed anything else. I recently had two had two plumbing issues resolved by Brandon at J.Mills. Leaky outside water faucets were replaced with requested frost-free ones. An 18 year old water heater was still functioning OK but was at the end of its life and needed renewing. In both instances, J.Mills delivered service that had all of the above attributes. One could argue value but high quality items were used and installation was very clean. It was definitely an upgrade. I would highly recommend this business.
We called to report that our dishwasher was not draining properly and were asked if the disposal was working and sink was draining, which we confirmed. A plumber was sent out and spent 30 seconds confirming that the disposal worked and the sink was draining. He told us to call an appliance repair person and charged us $69. Complete ripoff.
I have a smell in my laundry room and Paul suggested many solutions but none solved the problem. He suggested someone run water done the vent stack on the roof but he couldnt do it because of liability concerns.He did not know anything about my iron filter and couldnt tell me if it was working properly or not. He did cycle it but nothing more.After almost two hours, there was no solution. I paid $169 for a diagnostic fee with no real diagnosis. Of course I was disappointed but I agreed to the fee, although it was for nothing at all.I dont think I would use this company again. The effort was there but the experience in solving this problem was not.

I really like this company! I received a callback the same day for an inconvenience, not an emergency, and a technition came that day. Joe was clear about diagnostic fees and who would come. The truck was marked with company name. Brandon was very polite, professional and answered my questions. He was prepared to wear booties in the house. I told him not necessary in our situation.(Alex?) came the next day to finish up and check out our other questions. He checked out our concerns, made one adjustment, talked through our questions and we all decided the other concerns were not needing to be repaired in any way.I very much appreciate the communications skills and that we were not pushed to spend money on unnecessary repairs or new equipment. We have been very satisfied, repeat, Jmills plumbing Customers. This time we had a corroded shut off valve that began leaking. We have a finished basement with drywall ceilings. Paul was able to replace the valve through the small opening without cutting a bigger hole which I did not think was possible. We appreciate the extra effort & time he took to do the job correctly & leave the ceiling intact. We are seniors with medical issues & he wore a mask, was respectful of social distancing during this time of Covid 19 uncertainty which we appreciate. Customer satisfaction is very important to them.

Turned out to be a very simple fix, and being a holiday they could have easily taken advantage of me. They didn’t. Brandon fixed it, explained what happened, and educated me on water softeners. Also said if I need to change the settings to call him and he would be happy to walk me through it. Very professional organization! This may be a minor thing but totally impressed me. I only received one other call the next afternoon and they said they could be there in two days...what a joke. My husband and I needed some plumbing corrected in our laundry room and an additional water line run outside for a spigot. I called J. Mills Plumbing and within one hour, my call was returned and we had a date set for them to come out to give us a cost and timing estimate. They came out on the date they promised, and gave us a reasonable estimate for the work to be done. We hired them. The day the work was to be done, John and Joe arrived at our home on time, ready to work. All the work they had to do was done promptly, professionally and beautifully (can plumbing be beautiful? I have used J Mills Plumbing three times over the past few months for various projects - a broken toilet flange, install a oven gas line, and repair hot water tank. Paul was sent out each time and did an absolutely fabulous job for me. Pricing was fair, response time quick, and the service exceptional. I highly recommend them.
I had a pipe freeze and split. Called J.Mills, talked with Joe and he got Brandon on it within a couple of hours. The fix was not straightforward since the pipe had distorted with the freeze. Brandon didn’t give up until he had a solution and my water back on. This is a great company with a great team. I highly recommend them. Thanks J.Mills!

Excellent work by John and Joe! I had a 20 year old water heater that was leaking and needed to be replaced. I was impressed with the response time of phone calls as well as the service. They were really friendly and professional. They were also willing to help me out even though I was out of there normal service area. They fit me in to a busy schedule and got it done quickly. Great company! Would recommend to everyone. John and Joe were out to my house for a well pipe leak. They had it fixed in 1 day saving me a lot of head ache of not having water. They were fast, efficient, reasonably priced and over all just great, personable guys. I will definitely be using them in the future for any plumbing needed in my home.

My water heater went out on a Sunday so I called J. Mills to leave a voicemail hoping to get call back the following day since it was a Sunday. I ended up getting a call back within 5 minutes which is unheard of. We determined that the best move was to just replace our 14 year old water heater. They came the next day and had it done within an hour. John & Joe were both very courteous and professional and showed up right on time. John has been doing plumbing work for my family since I was a little kid and now his two sons provide the same exceptional service years later.

Absolutely horrible. A major rip-off. My water heater died and I wanted it fixed quickly. J Mills Plumbing, LLC was the first company to reply so I took their offer up. They charged me $1,700 for a $500 (retail) water heater. It took them less than two hours, more like an hour and a half and thats being generous to do. Thats $600 - $800 an hour for a plumber. Thats more than twice what I paid my lawyer. And then the next day I had a major leak due to the way that they installed the water heater. I had the main water line into my place break. Imagine the main water line into your place pouring into your bedroom. So I have a literal flood flowing into the closet in my bedroom and I have to run outside and climb under my mobile home to shut off the main line. Did I mention that Im disabled. This was not easy. I had water in the closet in the bedroom, in the laundry room, and in the kitchen. Now to their credit, they did get here rather quickly. But they made it seem like they were doing me a favor to not charge me for fixing it their mistake. Instead of any kind of apology, they gave excuses. Go somewhere else.Edit: according to Home Advisor, where I found them, the average price in Brighton for a hot water heater is $846. They charged me twice that. Also according to Home Advisor, average plumber cost could go up to $150 per hour. They charged me four times that amount. $600 an hour.Edir 2: I left them a message/review on their website. They obviously never read it I got an absolutely canned response. And I know this for a fact, because when I responded to that response I got the exact same response. They didnt even read what I said.

2022-05-07Excellent customer service! Service tech was running a little behind for arrival but let us know so we could adjust our schedule. Made sure to explain exactly what was going on with our water softener, replaced the filter, and showed us how it functioned. 2022-03-27Owning a hair salon for 14 years, plumbing has been problematic for us. Finding people who can work on our off hours and quickly so we can stay in business was always a challenge. We have currently been having issues with our brand new hot water tank not keeping up, and no one was able to help us figure out the solution. We were referred to J.Mills, and I called, and let me say what a relief. They were terrific, even on the phone. They got the project rolling right away!They came out the following Monday and had solutions for us by the next day. They not only gave us multiple choices so we could have some ranges on pricing and solutions for long-term use, but they booked us right away and worked on a Sunday to ensure they didnt interfere with my business. They even fixed the poor piping that was installed by previous landlord on my floor. It was a mess, and they just fixed it all!I finally have found reliable hard working individuals who truly care about my business. I will only be using them moving forward for anything both commercial or at home. I really can not say enough, I went from crying to jumping for joy. 2022-03-09Appreciate the honesty from Flynn & J Mills on what we needed. I had a different company come in a couple months earlier and they tried to sell me the moment they walked through my door. J Mills took the time to inspect the problem with my water heater (not ventilating properly) and give me several different options on what I should do to repair/replace it. Writing this before testing fully my hot water but we should be good. Thanks guys, I will be trusting them with future needs as well!

2022-06-15Joe and Flynn did a great job installing 2 hose bibs and prepping for a future install. They ok’d hose bib locations with me prior to starting work and had no issues working in my old farm house and with its unique construction. They also fixed a shower drain that had been leaking for years. After finishing they walked me through all the work they did and where shut off valves were. I’m glad I called them and have J. Mills scheduled for more work this summer. Also, Charles at the office is always a pleasure to talk with on the phone. Great guys and great work!

Every team member was educated on how to complete their craft and they were considerate of my family being home while they worked and replaced my sewage line. Joe and Charles communication was above and beyond. I was never left in the dark and I appreciate their transparency when discussing price and solution for my broken sewage line. 2022-02-06Brandon came to my home in an emergency burst pipe on the weekend. He was awesome he found the problem quickly and explained in detail to me the issue. They arrived right on time and worked all day till everything was done and did a great job on clean up after! They took the time to show us how all the new stuff works and answered all of our many questions.
