This place is not bad, but not great either. The staff today was less than pleasant, I found an item on the floor and asked how much, the lady behind the desk was flustered and just said its not priced yet. I simply asked if she would take my number and call when its ready to be sold. She then said its sold to another customer. Wow! What was that? I gave 2 stars on account of her, but the store is probably a 3.5 they have tools and some oddities, its worth a look. Just dont expect the lady who was there today help you because she will just be irritated by your presents.
Went today, as many in the Brighton area, I have no power out looking for a generator without much success. Driving by and said why not check it out, walk in and to my surprise, I find a nice looking generator, not bad price $405.00 on commission sale. I wait 10 minutes why the gentleman that works there was talking to a gentleman about pocket watches, and the woman that worked there listened and and watched me waiting patiently for assistance, at the ten minute mark I overheard the salesman say to the customer, are you interested in this watch? The customer replied, me no I just wanted to give you the history of these watches, it will take a special person to buy it. A couple minutes later, I walk out the door without being assisted, I would have bought the generator, had they taken time to show me that it worked. Terrible customer service, for paying customers. Neat stuff but dont go if you are in a hurry.
There should be more resale places Just For Men. An interesting assortment of fishing paraphernalia ... including live bait. Sporting Goods, tools, signs and mirrors, books, guns, some clothing and all kinds of things for men or for women who want to buy things for men.Its one of the few places there are for a widow to bring her husbands Treasures when he has passed. Make sure to read the contract that you will sign if you bring Goods there.
Sometimes you can get some great deals, but they overprice other things. They had an old snowblower sitting in front (In July) for 114. They also charge a service fee if you use a credit card. For a 12 dollar item, I paid 49 cents to use a card. The guy who owns the place, doesnt ask if you need help or have any questions. I was the only person in the store. You can get a good deal, but can get better deals at Salvation Army, Habitat or Craigslist.
This was literally the worst experience..Ive never been to a bait shop where you dont get a deal if you buy a dozen chubbs! They also charge a fee for credit as well as using your bank debit card! He was extremely rude when i asked him about it. When he picked out the so called chubbs they were extremely small and i asked for bigger ones..his response was they move to fast!! Unreal...my son was trying to help him pick bigger ones...but no go. Weather or not he was trying to come off rude..it did. I will not go back and go to Ricks Bait shop only from now on. Its worth the drive.
Went in to check out their store, they dont have anything you couldnt find at a flea market for less. Was rudely accused of stealing a PS 1 game...john madden game worth 50 cents..which of course they were selling for 5 bucks..smh...I would never go their again...very rude...and unprofessional.. Could have handled it much better.. Would rather light my cash on fire
Ive been going there for years. The past few times I have been disappointed. I know resale shops are hit and miss. Some stuff seems overpriced and like most resale shops, some of the stuff needs to tossed in the trash.I might stop by if Im going by there, but Im not going to make a special trip.

2022-05-18I love this store! I always stop here before my trip to home depot and knock some of my list down at a quarter of the cost! Jim is a good man and will know if he has what your looking for as he knows his inventory like the back of his hand. This is one of my favorite little secrets here in Brighton!

2022-01-31There is lots of stuff to browse. Prices are a bit high on some things, but some good deals on older stuff. Kids loved the giant goldfish tank. I returned an item and had no issues. They apologized and promptly refunded me. Lots of ice fishing gear now.

2018-11-27I like this place; I find the owner easy going, professional. Other staff are the same. If youre looking to buy DeWalt at deep discounts, dream on. But if youre looking for something youd probably not find unless you drove to the UP, this is the place-time and again Ive found unusual items that suit my rustic style.
