Visited on Memorial Day 2021 around 0900. My accompanying friend said that the restaurant was under new owner/management. We have been coming here for a few years and thought the food was pretty good, but now its even better. I ordered the Monterey Omelette which has seasoned ground beef with onions, green peppers, mushrooms and cheese. The ground beef was lean and flavorful without being overly salty. As we ate, the restaurant filled up quickly, but the lone server was able to keep her composure and maintain a friendly demeanor as she efficiently gathered each table order. We thoroughly enjoyed watching her proficiency almost as much as we savored our meal. As business continues, Id advise adding one more server to give that amazing gal a little help during peak hours, add a few original/unexpected selections to the menu and upgrade the decor. Well definitely be back!
Nice restaurant. Had breakfast very good. Wished waitress would have told us how big pancakes were. They were way too large n many for a child. Mostly wasted

We took my dad out for a birthday breakfast (this is one of his favorite places to eat) and it was my first time here. I have to say, first of all they were very busy, and the building is small both inside and out...but DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE BY WITHOUT STOPPING IN! We had a fairly large group, 10 of us in total, and while I believe my brother did call ahead, they accommodated our group (7 adults, 1 teen, 2 toddlers) graciously! The food was great, and the portions were large enough that the teenage boy couldnt finish his stack of pancakes! On top of all that, we had the best service i have experienced at a restaurant in quite some time! Not only was our waitress friendly (AND incredibly patient even though she was swamped!!) but the entire small staff made us feel completely welcomed. The entire experience felt more like we were having breakfast at an old friends house and not at a restaurant. Simply amazing. Now I know why my dad likes it here so much!
This restaurant is amazing! The food is super good with a reasonable price. The food is worth it and the workers are very friendly and has great customer service. I would definitely recommend this place and come again!

A friend told us of this restaurant and we are so happy! Love the food choices on the menu as well as the fresh salad bar offerings. The owners use fresh ingredients, e.g. hand prepared fresh potatoes, and work hard to provide customers with the most food value for the least cost. Our only wish is that we lived closer!
Nice atmosphere, been coming here after church with other church members for about a year for lunch. Good people, good food. Can get crowded at this time of day on a Sunday. Servers do their best to know everyones names.
This place has never disappointed me yet. The staff is always friendly, the food is always good. Even on a busy morning I still get my food faster than any restaurant. I eat here at least once a week and will continue to do so. Definitely would recommend.
Such a great breakfast. Had French toast, scrambled eggs and the Bacon was tasty so tasty. What gave me the extra side of smile, which was free, was our waitress and the great conversation from the table next to us!!
This place is our new favorite for breakfast. The staff is very friendly and efficient, the food is outstanding and the atmosphere is that of family.The food portions and the food quality are amazing.Service was fast and we did not feel rushed in the least. I wont say its the end-all, be-all of restaurants, but if youre in the mood for a greasy burger or a gravy-smothered sandwich, you could do far worse. Kawkawlin Restaurant has a nice, quiet vibe despite being close to the highway. Consider it a nice pitstop on the way to wherever youre going.

2022-05-01Based on one visit! Driving north looking for breakfast. This place had best reviews! Great place: good food served w a smile! All this for $9! They also serve Chinese food! Someone actually had some during late breakfast hours. It looked Awesome!

2022-06-15My family was camping at Bay City State Park.Wanting breakfast we Googled local restaurants.This one was 5 mins away.We were not disappointed. Small hometown feel about it.Staff was friendly and the place was clean.Large selection of breakfast food and at a great price.Portions were quite large.My grandkids and I enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

2021-05-20This restaurant has been my boyfriend and I’s go-to breakfast joint for almost three years now and the food never fails to completely satisfy us!! Not only is the food spectacular, but even on their busiest days, our food still comes out fast and fresh. The ladies that serve here are always so nice and friendly, we seriously love coming in each time. These ladies deserve a raise!! Thank you for always making us feel comfortable and taking care of us!! 10/10 recommend their pancakes, biscuits and gravy, big egg breakfasts and so so so much more!!!
