One of the worst experiences lately. We waited about an hour to be seated, then about 1/2 hour to see our waiter. Then about 90 minutes to get half of what we ordered. We got the mixed shawarma plate. After 2 hours and we were walking they brought our food without any apology. They charged us for it. Toilet were filthy would not recommend
Khalaf grill makes good food but I can’t help but feel every time I go there either they forget something or mess something up this restaurant is so inconsistent it makes it hard to want to go back. not to mention 4 rows of kebab is actually 3 rows of kebab and one row of fat. I feel cheated everytime I come here. Beware their prices may seem good but trust me you get what you pay for.
I came to this restaurant with high hopes for good food and good service. I was met with unprofessional staff and raw Kafta, I talked to the manager and he offered to recook my already cold/raw Kafta, Manager, and staff all ganged up on me trying to deflect. Their service is VERY SLOW, they do NOT write things down when you order so expect a lot of mistakes in your order.
The Kebab we got was burnt. We talked with the manager. He told us you ate half of it and start arguing with us instead of reimburse us or apologize at least. I understand we should have told them before the kids start eating but they are not professional dealing with clients. The kebab was too thin that got burnt easily. The waiter was kind and good though.
Could have potential if it was managed properly with actual customer service training for their servers. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but this one is needed. We ordered a platter, the rice came out first and it was cold. The meat platter came out and it was barely warm. We asked for garlic and the server forgot even though it wasn’t busy. We waited about 5 minutes and had to ask again for garlic, ketchup and bread…. By the time we got it, our food was completely cold. And then their bathroom flooded and they had to clear out the toilet water from the floor, once it was done, the kid that cleaned up the toilet water dragged the hose to the front door… there was still water coming out of it - unfortunately all I smelt was sewer water - not impressed, would not recommend to anyone and will not be returning. The idea of the restaurant is a good one, it’s just unfortunate that it is run by amateurs.
The service here is terrible. We waited 20 mins for menus and then 20 more minutes to have our order taken. They gave us soggy salad and didn’t give any bread. When we asked for some, they said they were out but we saw another table getting bread. The manager was unresponsive and was laughing with the server after we spoke to him. The only positive was that the chicken and kebab tasted good. Our server had never come to ask if we needed anything, how the food tasted, and even to give us our bill. Service 0/5, as a Non-Arab dining in, we felt uncomfortable. One of the male servers often walked passed our table and when we needed something he would call someone else to help instead of responding to us. This same male server continued to stare and watch us which added to the discomfort. Will not be coming again.
Went for Sunday breakfast, we got seated quickly. About 30 min to take our order. Sure enough, the waitress forgot to put in the order. 1 hour later we get 1 plate. And nothing else. We asked for foul and sawda. They never brought us the foul. We complained and no one listened. We sat at that place for almost 3 hours. We tried them before and we had bad experience. We wanted to give them another chance. This place is not for strangers, if you don’t have connections, your food will taste like dirt or no one will serve you. Just don’t go
The food is good although it is a little unhealthily cooked because of how greasy the food can be. The service is a joke, my friend had to wait almost an hour just to get his meal despite the place not being too busy and the workers are just talking to each other instead of getting their job done and you have to wave or walk up to them just to get their attention and even when you do they still take too long to get you what you’re asking for even when it doesn’t take too long to get, the reason why I said that they take a long time to get something that is simple to get is because I asked for sauce and I had to wait until the point I eventually me and my friend gave up paid for our meals got them to go and left. Also the bathrooms are unsanitary and the tables are way to high and the chairs are too low making it difficult to eat. I don’t recommend eating at this place and when you do just ask for your food to go and eat anywhere else besides the restaurant. This place is a joke.

Strongly, Strongly, Strongly disagree with every bad review on here against the food. Even the service experience I had was really great but I can’t talk about everyone else’s experience . Took the family here on day 3 of our road trip from Chicago and we tried many restaurants out there and Noah’s Smokehouse and Khalaf Grill were definitely number 1 and 2 from all the other garbage restaurants around . Props to these guys!!
By far the worst place I’ve ever ate at, we waited 10 minutes to be seated, which is fine they were busy. Once we got seated we didn’t get menus until we asked for them 20 minutes later. We ordered and got some of our food, we waited another 40 minutes for our food and the buss boy took our hummus and pita bread and all our FULL DRINKS without asking if we wanted them. When our food came our chicken was RAW and our kebabs were pink. If i wanted raw meat I would’ve went to the store and not pay $85 for meat that is SUPPOSED to be cooked!!!!!!!! a waste of time don’t come here if you want to eat
If I could, I would give them a zero out of five. When we first walked in, it seemed like a very nice restaurant. However, once we began ordering, our experience took a turn for the worse. The first red flag was service, the weather was very humid, and we asked for water. It took our waiter twenty to thirty minutes to bring us bottled water. They brought our food out at different times: we had two people waiting on their food for an additional forty minutes after the others had received their orders. Over half the table was finished with their meals and the other half hadn’t been served. However, the portions and food itself was not top quality and was not what we wanted. We ordered shawarma, expecting tender chicken and seasoning, but we received dry chicken on a piece of naan. The rice was cold. I would advise those hoping to have a good dining experience to steer clear of this establishment.
New Review:So I went back here after 2 months hoping they got things better after the new location opening. Honestly they did get better. It was not as crowded, and got seated right away. The food took some time but not too long. The food was great this time. And this why I’m changing my review.Old review:I am so disappointed with the way they Handel the waiting list to be seated. We waited for 30 minutes and we were the first to come in everyone that came after us was seated. And at the end they blamed us for not hearing them call for us while we were standing there.
For a new restaurant location I expected better when coming to dinner here with my family. The service that we received was horrible as our server had not brought us water/asked about drinks, had not given us menus until after 25 minutes of being seated, she also did not once come and ask how the food was and if we needed anything. The fattoush salad was soggy and not fresh and when we asked for bread they said they ran out even though we were seeing other servers give their tables bread. When we mentioned it to the manager, he invalidated our concerns and walked away laughing with the employees. At the end of all of it, as we had finished our food and we’re waiting on the bill, our server had not come after 20 minutes so we had gone up to the counter to pay.
Very good food. Friendly staff. Nice ambience and environment. Good place to go with friends or family. You cant go wrong with the barbecue items, especially the Khalaf platter for 5. Definitely will recommend to anyone
Service: I wasted 40 minutes of my day to go to Khalaf Grill. I was there at 9:50pm on Saturday. They close at 11pm. They didn’t want to serve us. Their excuse was that they didn’t have any meat left even though the showcased fridge was filled. Their second excuse was that they didn’t have charcoal left for the meat to cook. This was disrespectful as the hours online are shown to close at 11pm. I don’t recommend this restaurant to anybody and to be fair I never tried their food. The one star isn’t about the food but about the lack of respect they have for their customers and their time.
First and last time to eat here. We couldnt eat the lamb chops at all and the restaurant didnt even have the desecncy to return it. The waitress was amazing and very helpful. I would not spend any money here, the food is less than average.
This restaurant has no manners at all. At first, we waited for more than 15 minutes for a table and then we were taken upstairs only to find out that there were many empty tables here. So our previous time just got wasted. Then we waited for another 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Then finally when we were giving the order, the waited told us that it would take 50 minutes for the order to get prepared. This was so disappointing that we had to walk out and find another place to eat.I dont understand why this restaurant is open when there are no people to serve the customers.This restaurant has the worst customer service.I never recommend anyone to visit this place
The service was not good. We went at dinner time and they ran out of bread, out of coleslaw, the burger was cold, and the beef skewers were undone and not tender. Our soup bowl we thought would be larger but it was only enough for one person. Soup was also given after entrees were served! The fattoush salad also was given with the entrees when it should have been given with the appetizers. Grilled chicken wings were charred too much. On top of that our server just was not being kind and had an attitude.
The service is awful!!!!!!!! We waited a hour and a half for fattoush and hummus to be brought to our table. There was only 3 of us and we only ordered 6 skewers. We were told at least 5 times our food needed 10 minutes. They told us they were baking the bread and it needed 15 minutes on top of the hour and half we waited for the hummus to even come to our table while other waiters and waitresses were coming back and forth to other tables that came AFTER us with bread baskets. There were people walking in after us that were getting their BIG orders before us and when confronted the waitress was so disgustingly rude and said we “shouldn’t count the minutes we waited to have our order taken as part of the time” the manager refused to come to our table to handle the situation. I will NEVER be returning to khalaf grill. Obviously who ever owns that place knows NOTHING about customer service/hospitality and neither do their employees. If I could rate this place negative stars I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS PLACE NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!! I Cannot emphasize enough how awful my experience was at this place. They’re too busy and who ever owns it clearly has no idea how to run a busy business.

Was very excited to try this place, inside looks very nice but the food was horrible. Chicken was over cooked and dry. None of the meat was fresh, tasted frozen. The service was not good as well. Waiters seemed confused and kept forgetting about our orders. Very disorganized. Would never come back
Very bad, chicken saj was old and araes was burnt bread and old salty meat.
We were in town visiting craving kibbeh nayi first we walked in we got greeted by a hostess sat us all the way in the corner , we were party of six we got only two menu for the whole entire table , table was dirty and chairs. we got them cleaned we waited twenty minutes to get service no one bothered to come to our table we end up leaving I get it if they were busy they only had about 4 tables at 2 pm most of them were done with their meal. Staff were too busy on their phone arguing who’s going to wipe the tables or not
The waitress burned my hand!! She literally handed me TO MY HAND a skewer fresh off the grill and Burned me!! I quickly dropped it and said WHY would u hand it to me, at least warn me!! Listen to the bad reviews they are right! Waitress is a total B .very snobby. Food is mediocre doesnt taste authentic. Eveything needed salt, and in not one to add salt to my food at all!
Worst experience, I understand there is short staff issues, but you sat two tables after us and you service them before us , no one looking at you, we walk out, it even a sorry , old manager looking at us as if we’re garbage, what kind of place is this !!!
We called over the phone and they flat out told us that they do not accept reservations. We waited for over 40 minutes and a couple of groups who came after us were seated before. We asked why they were seated before us and told us that they had a “reservation”. I’m sorry, but you guys told us that you don’t accept reservations so how did other groups get seated with a “reservation”. Poor customer service over all, no one greeted us, we had to put our names on the wait list and that didn’t matter because “reservations” took precedence.
Horrible experience- food was cold and took forever to come out - humus was the last thing to be put on the table. Waiters were taking food that was suppose to be given to our table and put on the table next to us ! It’s not our first time here but it will be our last ! Very disappointing. Nothing was served to us fresh and fries were frozen and not cooked all the way. Kids left hungry . And we asked for bread and it took 30 mins to come. Our waiter was not professional what so ever. Writing this review after waiting (and still waiting while writing this) over an hour and a half for food. People who were seated after us have already finished their dinners and left with their leftovers while we are still here waiting. This is the first and absolutely the last time I will come here and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone who doesnt have 2 hours to spare just waiting for a few skewers. Horrible service.
We like the restaurant but the older guy who claims to be the manager for downstairs floor is rude as heck, he basically said that if u wanna eat here go upstairs else u leave the restaurant. We were group of 12 people with 3 kids , there was a table opened up downstairs but he refused to give it to us because we had kids in our group. The owner needs to figure out something, cuz we were really upset and not want to go back because of his attitude. On the other hand the guys upstairs were really nice and Apologize for what happened. His name was AL. Love that guy
If you like burnt food go there ,45 minutes waiting for burnt food , wet silverware which I had to dry it myself ,ask for Tarator sauce I never got it , super dry falafel looks like its baked the day before, ask for grilled boneless chicken with marinara sauce got it with mushroom sauce instead. asked for drinks they say your kids can get it themselves . I never saw such a restaurant and bad service 😕First and last time .
First time visiting! Perfect for lunch time in dearborn area. Got different skewers and Turkish coffee. Portions are good, 2 skewers per person and a side its plenty!
This establishment was absolutley rancid. I have a buddy that works there that recommended it to me. I go to get seated and see a zoo of people at the door. There are barley and tables being seated and the bussers are sitting on their phones in the corner. After almost an hour I was finally seated and the food was definitly not worth the wait. The place is a poor excuse for Authentic Lebanese Food and will never come back here. Not only was the service bad but i was shocked to see a pile of knocked over soda cans next to a counter and nobody was in a rush to clean it. I thought for a mintute that it must be a decoration and this garbage shack they call a restaraunt.
I have to say, Iam glad I didn’t look at the reviews before trying this place. It’s so weird, because it’s literally completely different from the reviews. Our waiter was great, helpful, very observant, food came out quickly, super fresh! Managers managed well, the kabob kefta, chicken, and falafel were great, don’t get me started on the bread and houmus, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Oh and the price... wooooow I literally thought they left some dishes out!

So what.....build a new place, make it pretty, but still poor service and inconsistent food quality. We stopped going to the old place years ago. When the new place opened up we said lets give it a try. Big mistake, nothing has changed. They pack you in like sardines to make a lot of money. Its like an open school cafeteria. People bump you as they walk by. Our poor waiter was constantly running up and down the stairs to go to the other dining room upstairs. Food comes out at different times for your table. Tiny bowl of salad and hummos are served that accompany the entrees. And some eat, some wait at your table. It was just off AGAIN.There are better grills to try. Check out the new Basha Grill in Dearborn Heights. The plates of salad and hummos are much bigger and service is better.

Lamb chops barely had meat on them. Always put the “reserved” labels on every table so they can deny service if they didn’t like the way you appeared. I’d give it a zero if possible.
Always had terrible service and management. Asked for a reservation for Iftar, they call and confirmed it. When were arrived there they said its a full house and no place to seat us, if someone already planned their iftar at your place and you gave them the reservation you can’t be so bad at your job that you have full house and tell you customer to go somewhere else. And when asked to speak to a manger they said sure , went and came back saying manager isn’t here today and come tomorrow to talk to them 😂 really !!! Ok never going there again
First time in Khalaf Grill. We ordered the Kibbeh Nayyeh (raw kibbeh) and it was amazing, and the texture was very good. The Hummus and Fattoush were also very tood. Even the fries were great. The family tray had everything we wanted and more. The falafel, grape leaves and fried kibbeh were great complements to the family tray. The filet mignon kabobs were very tender and juicy. The kafta was amazing, and the chicken was such a delight. I will absolutely be back to this place.

I went there twice to eat lentil soup and fatteh. Both times I was told these items arent available -- even though they are both listed on the restaurants menu. Very disappointed. Didnt eat there. Had to walk out hungry and frustrated in both instances. I do not recommend this restaurant.
I wait 45+ minutes just to eat a burger... I am still waiting. The taste is not bad, but I dont have luxury to spend around 1 hour to eat a burger. Most probably this is my last visit to here....
We waited for our food for 35 minutes to get served. The waitress was very slow and overwhelmed. The place was too busy. I dont recommend that you go there on tge weekends. Portions are small for what they charge for it.
I went today to this place and I really really liked their food. They were very friendly and the food was prepared quickly. Prices are fair as well. I would recommend Khalaf Grill to everyone. They have a very nice tent outside, which is great in summer time. However, we noticed some tables took a while to be cleaned; they need to make sure the place is always clean.

They may have changed locations with the worst part about it is they’ve changed their warm soft spoken personality to staff we come in 40 minutes before closing they see us unloading our children out of the car and have the audacity to tell us that they’re closing early because it’s slow and there’s people clearly there treated very disrespectfully this place has amazing food but I don’t know they have definitely down grades in service
If you like 1 hour waits, soaking wet silverware and burnt food, this is the place for you. You have to dry the silverware yourself, and that’s not to mention how the waiters keep asking you to buy more food then you need.

Lamp chops and grilled lamp meat tasted disturbingly rotten - the smell of the chops was noxious. Their grape leaves are cold and undercooked. Salads: tabouli and Arabic salad and hummus were ok. This is a never again experience.By far Al Ameer restaurant is a much better choice.
I heard such great things about this place, but when i came here for the first time it was dirty. The glass wasnt clean, the fans had so much dust on them you can literally see them falling off even the decorations had dust so bad. I ordered the hummus and shish kabob and it wasnt even good, i still had alot of blood from the meat on my bread. The people there were very nice, I just didnt like how dirty it was. I even took pictures of how dirty this place was when I went.
DO NOT waste your time here. worst spot to enjoy a meal you’ll leave with no appetite after the nonexistent customer service. i’ve been coming here for years before expansion which seemed to go to their heads as well. my to-go order was incorrect, burnt and filled with fat unlike my directions when placing. i called to have my order redone and offered to bring back the bad order. the manager wanted me to bring the food back to inspect it before placing the new order AFTER i waited 1.5 hours to then waiting another alleged 25 minutes. i was called a liar and the manager had the most disgusting disrespectful tone. i asked for a refund because i was not willing to wait another “25 minutes” and the wannabe manager only refunded my burnt fatty meat and wouldn’t bother refunding the rest of the incorrect order which was sitting on my dining table as i’m dealing with incompetent customer service. the cherry on top was the front area which was filled with angry customers who are dealing with similar issues. DO NOT RECOMMEND GO ELSE WHERE !!!!

They were busy during a weeknight, took a long time and messed up our order. Service was minimal and curt. The food was good. But only good its practically empty
After walking in and the waitress taking our order. We ordered meat pies and a few other stuff. The waitress warned us that it will be about a 25 minutes for the meat pies to be ready. We were okay with that after an hour we inquired about where are order was. The waitress came out to tell us that the cook has not started our order and will take an additional 25 minutes. We left. Waitress was doing her job, but overall service was awful.

The customer service was horrible, we waited 20 min to be seated and had to remind them twice, but thats not a problem at all. After we were seated it took another 20 minutes just to take our order and i had to remind them again. After the order was placed we got our appetizers and we literally waited more than 45 min for our food, i started realizing that a table of 10 people got their food before us and we were seated at least 30 minutes before them and we are only 4. On top of that the waiter had the audacity to tell me that we waited only 20 minutes for our food because thats what the receipt said when she was the one who seated us more than a hour before. 🤦🏽♀️ Plus, while we were walking out mad, some girl with attitude who been working there for years now, seems like its normal for her to get cocky with the customers, yelling at me to get out!!! I was so excited to try their new location, but never again.
This place is one of the greatest in town , I love their meat , hummus and bread . Service is alright , it can be better for sure but they are friendly and will accommodate anything u want .
Waiting Time is too Long before sitting. Took too long to serve the food and food was not well done and blood was running out of the meat in plate and nothing was done after complaining. All the meat so blend no spices were used. It is not recommended to go again there.
We been trying to come to this establishment For the last 2 months. We are not from the area so we have to drive over 45 minutes. The last 2 times we would call and they would tell us if we make it by 9 we should be good. So We would make it by 9 or 905 and both times they wouldn’t take us. Mind you we would call and tell them we gonna be 5-10 minutes late and they would tell us to come in. I understand they’re really busy and I would just leave and go somewhere else. But today I called in at 7 and told them what time the seating end since it’s a Sunday. The lady said 9 o’clock and on Google it says they close at 10. So our drive was an hour long with all the construction going on everywhere. We get there at 8:28 exactly to the restaurant. 30 minutes before the last seating. The lady in the front would tell us today they gonna stop taking walk ins at 830. Even though we made it before 830 and we called and she told us that we should be good as long as it’s before 9. I would ask her if I can talk to management. The lady replies “ I AM THE OWNERS DAUGHTER IT DOES NOT GET ANY HIGHER THAN THIS”. She was really stuck up and would talk down on us and call us names. Mind you we never said anything bad to her other than we been trying to come here for 3 times and always same issue. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THIS ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS. DEARBORN MEAT MARKET IS THE WAY TO GO. ABU ALI IS THE BEST PERIOD.

I’m a visiting my family and wanted to order dinner and this was a huge disappointment.As a business I would think they would at least consider some kind of gesture. It’s the principal of the matter. Unbelievable how they spoke to me and just let me go! I have photos of the currently website prices. The manager told me they haven’t updated the prices and that’s the new price and that what I have to pay.Imagine the difference. The pound of meat cost $13.49 per lb on the website and they changed the price $17 per lb. That’s a huge difference. I called and order 7 lbs of different types of meat and there’s a big difference in that price.Yelp, the BBB, and Google will all have this review posted. I would like to know if it were me, why would support a business that treats their customers this way.This is unacceptable and wrong on every level. They should’ve handled this in a better manner. I hope this complaint goes through and the Khalaf grill understand that this is wrong and as a customer and consumer they should’ve handled this better.

Pretty good food. First time in here and I would come back. Bread was amazing and fresh. The little rolled cheese pies, excellent and crispy. We ordered the tray with the 3 different types of skewers. Chicken, kafta and beef. Chicken was tender and delicious. Kafta pretty good. The beef was kind of undercooked and a bit bloody...I didnt care for it. Hummus was pretty good too..in my opinion everything needed a little salt, pretty under seasoned. Overall I liked the food and would return again to try other things.
One of the worst experiences lately. We waited about an hour to be seated, then about 1/2 hour to see our waiter. Then about 55 minutes to get half of what we ordered.

The prices on the website do not match with the actual prices at the restaurant. I ordered the Khalaf Tray (family meal) that was $84.99 online but $97.99 at the restaurant. When I called them about this issue, they did not answer professionally and were dry with me.

Small food portions . not worth the money . horrible service.It was Ramadan so I ordered my food for Iftar around 5pm Iftar is around 8p . the time to pick the food was around 730p as I communicated with the worker who took the order .I arrived at the restaurant at 7:15p meanwhile people were arriving and picking up their food within a minute or two .I waited patiently until 8pm with the Iftar already commenced .The guy at the cashier kept saying any minute now .It is 8:05 pm when he said that my order slip got burned by the oven and they were not aware of the order until I arrived . I reminded him that every order is taken electronically and papers dont exsist any more .I requested to speak with the manager . he said he was the manager . I requested to speak with the owner and he said he is the son of the owner .It was after good 3 minuets of arguing that he agreed to call his father the owner. After he had explained the sitiation to his father over the phone he handed the phone to me .When I spoke with his father on the phone his attitude was like it happens why are you upset confirming that my order slip was burned by the oven.At 8:10 pm finally I was handed my food and to add more insult he included a small order of fries to my order that I didnt order .I bought 3 two person combos and the bill came to $80.00 each combo included a very small 3 skrews of kufta . meat . and chicken. One of eachThere was 4 of us and non of us was full .it was embarrassing because a guest was invited for Iftar.Also the owner said they are short of employees and he cant find workers . my response was if you pay them good wages they will come and he kind got offended by that .These business got millions of dollars in covid relif and yet they find other venues somehow for that money than to serve their customers

Not organized at all! We made reservations for 7pm for 6 people under the name Sarah. We got there early and were told hy the hostess that we need to speak to the manager because we have reservations. She pointed to the manager like we were supposed to know what is going on. He grabbed a little piece of paper and told us that the reservation is not om the paper and he would seat us in a few minutes...no apology for the horrible customer service no nothing. Mind you there are 20 people waiting to be seated that have no reservations. That place is just a disaster.
Absolutely terrible service just wow. Every time I come here with friends, always an hour and a half wait when it’s not busy at all and they forget my sides and still charge me for them. I came to the new Location today with 3 friends and walked in waiting for be seated. An old guy comes up to us and gives us one of those buzzer to let us know when our table would be ready. We waited about 45 minutes minutes right outside the doors in my truck. It was 8:00 when we walked in to grab the buzzer. 8:45 comes and we walk in asking if our table is ready and the old guy looks at us and tells us “we’re closed no more orders” we showed him the buzzer we had and said you gave us this and said to wait for a table why would you give us this if you’re not taking orders and you wasted our time. He just shrugs, takes back the buzzer and walks away. They close at 10 but stopped taking orders and dine in at 8? New building, new look, same terrible service as always NEVER AGAIN.

I don’t know what some of the bad reviews are for. I just moved to Detroit recently and have tried plenty of Middle Eastern restaurants in the area and this is by far my favorite one. The food is always great, the staff is always very kind, and the manager cares a lot about his business and works very hard. I love this place. If you haven’t been here yet I highly recommend you give it a try.

The only reason Im giving this any positive stars was because the food was above average and the hummus was top 5 Ive had in Dearborn. The service on the other hand was the worst Ive had in a long time. Bread took forever. You shared tables with other families. We had to ask multiple times for help, napkins were out at almost every table. The most frustrating part was the disrespect. I sent my little brother to get the waitress from the man responsible for seating and managing and he dismissed him and told him to go back to his seat. Without looking up at us or the table or saying a kind word. It really discouraged him as he is normally shy and we try to give him courage to go up to people. This place has a lot of promise but they have lost me as a customer and Im sure if their service stays like this they will not last in the competitive market in Dearborn.

My family, friends, and I will not be returning to this restaurant. We waited for a long time to get the server to come to our table for waters and bread that’s normally served at the beginning. The server ignored being called over by coworkers during our time there. After serving us our food, the server didn’t return to ask how the evening or food was or if we needed anything - although we saw him walk past us to the table right by ours numerous times (possibly his friends) waiting to see if he would turn to us - he didn’t. We were charged for water which I’ve never seen before at least for this area (they were water bottles but we were told that was the only water option) - water should be complimentary with food at restaurants. I waited until the end of time there hoping he was just busy and something would change but nothing did - so my family and I respectfully brought it to the server’s attention - he asked if we wanted to speak to the manager but we honestly didn’t think that would make a difference and just wanted to leave. There’s plenty of other restaurants in the area that have significantly better food and service. Would not recommend.

Sad to say that we are in 2021 and we have people like the ones managing this place discriminating against different religions and races.We went here for a family dinner on Christmas Day to enjoy time with family and friends and the hostess (older man) ruined the entire experience for us. He seated 6 different families who walked in after us and kept pushing us off. We were a group of 10 and he gave up our table to another family who he spoke Arabic to and told him “don’t worry about reservations I’ll seat you now” yet we’ve been waiting for over an hour and a half for a table. We weren’t seated until one of the families walking in told the hostess they will not take our turn.Aside from the disgusting attitudes and the lack of customer service, the food was cold and average at best! Didn’t take food back to bring it warm and on top of all that. So so disappointing. I’ll be sure to tell everyone to stay away from this place.

Horrible. I came here with my family. We came in hungry and left hungrier. The food was not very good. The meat and the chicken came cold and it came much before the hummus. The shawarma wasnt very good. We waited for a while and when we got the shawarma and fries they were cold. We sent back the meat and chicken for re-heating. Although the place looked nice, unfortunately it was horrible service. I was told 20 min wait, however it became1.5 hours. Because the maître d’ checked in “locals” versus anybody that was in line waiting.(No, others did not have reservations, and No, they where Not ahead of us.) they would walk-in and ask.When I and others asked why is he taken others ahead of us. He said it’s only 5 more min, and he suggested to order the food to go “Much Faster”. He simply did not care if we waited or not.Again lack of service. Wait staff not trained, never check on status. Never refilled water, we request and re-verified that we get a diet ”Pop” They gave regular “Pop/Soda” vs diet to a diabetic. Never got the diet pop for a kid.They didn’t care. They don’t understand their actions or lack of attention can lead to consequences.They need better service and a better way of tracking guests check in. In my opinion they don’t deserve anyones business.I’m sure there are many other restaurants that’ll accept you money. I know I will not recommend them to anyone.Good luck with the service and wait time.

Picked up food from there and I couldnt believe someone would even serve the food they gave us. There were pieces of fat, no meat in one skewer and the chicken tasted like it was cooked on a dirty grill. When we phone them, they said we will let cook know. They didnt even give us garlic so we can drown the dirty grill tasting chicken. We have been here many times and never did it taste like this.

Invited a group of 25 people for iftar dinner. The meat was extremely dry. The lentil soup was undercooked. Half of the guest had stomach aches and diarrhea the next morning. It seemed understaffed as well, I had to walk up to waitresses to ask for anything since they barely checked on our table. I paid almost $500 for this meal and am extremely disappointed with the service. It’s extremely embarrassing that my guest had to witness and experience this. Very disappointed, they have lost us as customers.

Waitress would push our plates out of the way while were eating to put food on the table theres space on the other side of the table just put the food there.
Im giving you 3-star to support you. The shish kabob and the liver and the kabah very good.but for real who made that kafta?? That was disgusting tabouli disgusting too.. as soon as we stopped eating older men kept stare at us rushing us to leave.. do something about those comments I promise you if you dont no one will go again there.. best of luck
It is never clear what sides come with the order. The place is crazy, especially when youre picking up an order. I practically had to beg for help. Food is getting worse
The food is great; but the guy who is always at the front door is so rude and unwelcoming. I would not go just to avoid seeing his face.

2022-02-16Service: The new Khalaf Grill looks greats clean and open…very open. Close seating tho.The layout of should of been booths on the sides and main inner seating with tables. That would of been more efficient and relaxed/semi private seating.We were seated right away, however their is some wait getting the appetisers and a even longer wait to get our main course. The service was good and tried their best to accommodate the long wait by proving us bread to eat while we wait. By the time we got our main course we were full from the bread and were ready to leave. Just beware if it’s busy your food will come later and will take a while to get to you.Food: The appetisers were okay, nothing different than the regular salad, hummus that you would get anywhere else. The main dish we got which was a mixed grill was great. It was too bad our food came late and we were already full by then.A place I would revisit again, hopefully when it’s less busy!

2022-07-11Good food but the service is so bad that I will never return again. And the worst part is...I dont think they care! We went in today around 3PM. Only a few tables were occupied. They were not busy at all. There were so many staff at hand but they were just talking to each other near the cash (photo attached). Table was dirty when we sat and I had to ask her to have it cleaned for us. We sat down (tables are way too high, high chair is useless) and no one came to take our order. They were just chatting away. I had to wave them down and someone saw me and told the waitress to come...and she still didnt! Then I had to go up to the cash to ask them to take our order and finally she came. We ordered 2 mixed grills. The food came in a decent time and tasted good. The portions were good. No one came back to check on us to see if we needed anything. I need small cutlery to feed my toddler but waitress was too busy chatting again. Didnt see her for the entire meal. When we finished the meal, we had to wave her down again to ask for the leftovers to be taken away. We had to pack them ourselves so she really didnt do much. We ended up going up to the cash to pay so we didnt have to wait around. No goodbye when we left. Also, no soap in the womens bathroom and the mens bathroom smelled like urine. As I said, good food but would never return or recommend this place to anyone.

2022-02-06First time to the new location and worst experience. Dysfunctional and disorganized is the best description I can think of.. waited about an hour to be seated, the guy at the door seated 2 families before us and lied to my face about how they were there first. I clearly saw them add their name to the list 10 minutes after we arrived because I told them to put their names down for a table. Seated and waited about 30 minutes or so to see our waiter. Then about 30 more minutes to get the order. Food was ok, not great or special.I would not recommend this place. Find another restaurant. Its not like they serve anything special here.

2022-04-19Detailed review. Honest review.When we first walked in, we werent greeted. The 2 young men who walked in after us, were greeted and seated before us. We had booked a reservation, window seat. After about 6 minutes we finally went up to the register to say we have a reservation. 5 minutes later a server takes us to a table in the middle of the restaurant. They give us 1 menu, and leave. 5 minutes go buy, until we get ahold of another server to tell them we had reserved a window table. He proceeded to tell us they are reserved. We then tell him, we also reserved one. They then change tables for us to what we reserved. We still only had 1 menu so we had to take turns looking at what we wanted. Mind you, this is our FIRST AND LAST time here. We ordered our food and waited. When our food came out, 1 thing at a time, the hummus, had a weird odor and taste to it. The bread was great. The kafta (grilled in pita bread) was severely undercooked so we asked to take to kitchen to make it well done. When the kibbi came out, it was decent. When our mixed BBQ grill came out, the chicken kabob had the same odor and taste as the hummus, really weird. The meat was visibly red and bloody and severely undercooked. We asked for it to be well done and took back to the kitchen to be cooked properly. When it came out again, it was almost room temperature and was still SEVERELY UNDERCOOKED. At this point, we had enough. It smelled off, and was not cooked the way we wanted it. It felt very UNWELCOMING. from stepping inside, to now leaving the restaurant. We complained, not a discount was made. We did get an apology from the server. Which is appreciated. We paid our full bill, only have eaten the salad.... and left. Mind you, we were fasting. We were hungry. We left disappointed. Im sorry but this was TOO much. The very cheap utensils also came in paper bags. For such a nice looking restaurant, it was truelly a disappointment.

2022-07-10Let me start off by saying that there are many places I have visited, even when crazy busy, where there is still some level of organization, cleanliness or common sense. This place wow’s you with there new decor and expensive fixtures, however the food was legit trash. Chicken, rubbery, dry, no flavor. How can you mess up a hamburger that badly, it was literally black and burnt and so charred it rubbed off on your fingers like black sand. The chicken sandwich is literally 2 frozen chicken tenders on a bun with I swear to you the most wilted brown romaine you can possibly serve. One squeeze of mayo only enough for the bite in the middle.The entire restaurant smelled of sewer water or some type of drain backup…The floor was also very filthy and with 3 buss boys clearing one table there should have definitely been someone sweeping the floor.They were also pushing around one dirty, nasty smelling 3 tier tub on wheels, legit pressed up against my seat as I’m eating I was about to throw up.The garbage can liner full to the top on the side of it just being pushed around for all the guests to smell.It was so bad I mentioned to one of the bussers that it would be a good idea to take the plates to the back rather than push that large filthy cart around in what is obviously very tight seating.Walking back to my car after paying over 150$ for our dinner and noticed the parking lot was the real show stopper, should have known walking to the door seeing trash as I enterted to turn around. Well I learned my lesson, dont go to the Khara Grill!

2022-01-16The most fresh authentic Lebanese food in town! We drive from Toledo to eat here. The new location is beautiful. The meat is phenomenal and the spicy kabob is like nowhere else I ate.In general the food, appetizers, raw meats and salads are all delicious 😋 Highly recommend!

2022-02-05For my tastes buds this place did not deliver!! Spicy Beef Kabob and Spicy Kafta was only good option here that was above average. Everything else including beef shawarma were below or just average. Fresh pita bread was good but half way through our meal they ran out of it. I recommend you try it for your self.

2022-03-31Food is excellent and can get 4 stars if following things can be improved.1) Table Height. It’s just too high and not correctly proportional to chairs.2) Temperature of restaurant. Always cold which makes the food cold and less enjoyable.3) Service - you just sit and wait. Food comes in and then you don’t have plates as there is not enough people serving.
