DO NOT use KLM to package your bike ESPECIALLY if you are shipping it to a race venue. I recently used KLM in Birmingham to pack two bikes for BikeFlight. One was a road race bike, the other a Townie leisure bike. They disassembled the race bike handle bars from the stem, rather than leaving them intact and removing the stem assembly. Of course this ruined the professional fitting position of the arrow bars. They also apparently released the seat post lever and then jammed the seat downward, destroying the tape placement for the seat height. I will need to spend plenty of money on another fitting. If this were for a race, the race would have been ruined. The Townie has 18 gears with three front rings. Rode perfectly prior to shipping. After shipping the chain derails each time the gears are shifted. Did those boys have fun jacking with an old man? (Im 58 ... but still train for Ironman). The KLM brand is not trusted to disassembly and ship any bike from this experience.
Reserved a bike from them and left 2000 as deposit, couple days later, try to pick it up and now my bike was 600 more expensive without adding any extras to it, they were supposed to set it up but they didnt set anything no even, indexing derailleur, this was the second bike I buy from them with gross mechanical errors. I am suppose to have free services on my new bike but I dont trust them mechanically.Sales people are nice and helpful, they are probably the best bike store it the area but thats a very low bar to jump.
Husband bought me a Aventon Level in November for my birthday. Absolutely LOVE LOVE the bike. My rating is with this store and some of the service - thank GOD for Larry and his “customer” focus. Rode the bike a handful of times (33 miles). Plugged it in and wouldn’t charge the bike. So, we take it back to the store. When we walked in the initial gentleman had a HORRIBLE attitude right from the start - including telling us how much he HATES Aventon and their “horrible distribution system” (even though they sell these bikes and they are NOT CHEAP). He asked if we brought the charger - which we did. He then proceeded to ARGUE with us that the charger was NOT the charger THEY gave us nor was it the right one for the bike. My husband explained to him that it WAS the charger THEY gave us. Again he continued to argue and only offered to “order us another charger”. After spending over $2000 on a bike that was only rode a few times is UNACCEPTABLE!! Finally, he went to ask “Larry” (our original sales person). THANK YOU Larry for having the INTEGRITY to recognize GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE by replacing the charger ON THE SPOT telling the other gentleman they could send the other charger back and replace it. Although our PLAN was to buy husband a matching bike - think we’ll take our business elsewhere. PLEASE HIRE more Larry’s and less a’holes that seem to LOVE to argue!
My bike finally came and I was SUPER excited. I needed a few attachments/adjustments along with a few other accessories for a different bike and this place had everything! I mostly spoke with Sean behind the counter and I couldnt be more appreciative of that guy! Not only did he make sure I had everything I would probably want he was more than happy to attach it to my bike. Thank You KLM and mostly THANK YOU AGAIN SEAN!!!
Top notch sales and service. Patrick answered all of my questions, and made sure I was on a bike that I wanted, end of story. No push to upgrade, no attempt to sell me things I didnt need, just information and a smooth transaction. Nor was he the least bit inconvenienced when I wanted to order a specific color over the one on the floor. I will definitely be back in the future.
Unprofessional doesnt even begin to cover it. Every time I have gone into this shop, the employees are milling around and trying to avoid eye contact hoping that someone else will deal with the customers. The employees do not communicate with each other and there seems to be no system to keep track of things like warranty claims and maintenance.I bought 2 bikes here in 2019. One of the bikes had an issue with the rear shifter and I started a warranty claim through this shop. I had to keep calling the shop to check on the status. The shop eventually completely lost track of the warranty claim and tried to charge me for replacing the covered part, then another employee found that the manufacturer had already credited the store for the part/repair months earlier. If you plan to just buy a bike and never have any maintenance done on it, maybe this shop would be ok. However, if you ever think the bike may need to be repaired or have a warranty claim filed, stay away from this shop.
Lets start with Sean A+ his phone conversation was very informative, then I met Larry the manager my price was met A+,Larry &Vanity made me feel very comfortable & walcome A+ service tachs again A+ perform my insulation in a timely manner and got me on my way thanks. My overall experience 100%
The staff at this shop are awesome and have the technical expertise to answer your questions wether you’re a cycling expert or just starting out. As someone new to the sport it was nice to find a local shop that was willing to take the time to answer seemingly dumb questions without making you feel silly for asking. The salesman Larry has been fantastic to work with and is the reason I will keep coming back to this shop rather than shop online.
I buy locally because I believe in supporting local bike shops, but from now on I will be supporting a different one. Most of the employees at this store are great, especially Skylar and Larry, who were very helpful. However Recardo, who does bike repairs, is rude, unskilled, and unhelpful. It took weeks for my bike to get repaired, despite being told that because my bike was recently purchased and under warranty it would be a top priority. I could not get an estimation on when the repair would be done, was charged hidden repair fees, and received attitude when calling and when talking to him in store. Even after this ordeal, my bike did not work correctly and I had to fix it myself.
Today was my first visit to this KLM store. I wanted to purchase a replacement spoke for my bike wheel. I was very disappointed by the customer service. I brought in the wheel to find the correct size. When I walked in an employee behind a computer asked what I was looking for, and when I told him he replied that all the technicians were gone for the day (it was 6:15pm). I said that I had seen the replacement parts on their website available for sale, and asked if he could tell me where they were located. He asked what size I needed, and I said I wasnt sure but brought the wheel in with me to compare. His reply was a rude unless you know EXACTLY what size you need I cannot help you, so I thanked him and walked out. It would have been nice if he at lease offered an alternative time for me to come back to speak with a technician, but I got the impression he just wanted me to leave.
We recently purchased a Peloton and I needed shoes for the bike. I was new to spinning and really busy with 3 young kids but Larry at KLM gave the best sales associate experience I’ve ever had. He was so patient letting me try on various brands and sizes, and even extended the return period. Store also felt very COVID safe. My husband had already been a fan of KLM for his mountain bike and related gear, but Larry hooked me as a customer as well. I foresee plenty of bike purchases from KLM for our family of 5. Thanks again, Larry!
I had a difficult warranty issue to be resolved with specialized. Due to the pandemic and the demand for bicycles left me with very few options. Sean , Larry and Jacob. They were amazing. kept my fully updated and presented the options as they became available. I was extremely happy with the outcome both with specialized and this shop!
In my experience, poor customer service. Previously (before covid) came into this KLM with a pretty good idea of a mountain bike I wanted to buy. The sales rep told me he thought the bike I wanted was too much of a bike for me and after he talked me down to a lower model realized Specialized was completely sold out in that model in all sizes for the rest of the year. I had a much better experience at a different bike store. Decided to give them a second chance recently and came in for a replacement part. I was told they had it in stock at another location and were going to ship it that afternoon to my home. A week and a half later, I called the store to see if they had any idea how much longer it would be before I might receive it. After calling, I learned they had sold out of the part, never actually shipped it to me, and then never told me.
Amazing customer service, great staff, great selection.I purchased a Specialized Stumpjumper from KLM and not only was I given the benefit of the doubt by sales person Larry, they worked with me to help me find the right fit and geometry for my style. When I had an issue with the bike (broken shock lever) they got on the phone with Fox shocks and not only got me a new shock, replaced it with a far better one (unique scenario). People have varied issues with most bike shops, its the nature of the industry. But KLM works with you to help find solutions and doesnt overcharge for common services. Thats why I drove from Ann Arbor to work with them. I just think they are the best.
Always a great experience at KLM! The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, able to recommend multiple different options and go out of their way to get you what you need. Sean was super helpful today, sharing knowledge of different road shoe options and finding some choices for me, all while being very positive and friendly!I’ll always recommend this place 💪🏼
I found the bike I was looking for and had a good experience with Ricardo on the phone with the sale. The issue I had was that they were up charging from what Giant had on their website and it’s already hard enough to get a bike. I called back and asked about the price difference and was told that the owner sent a memo out two weeks prior and instructed them that they couldn’t price match. It rubbed me the wrong way. Other bike shops sell for the Giant price and throw in service packages. This store does not and charges more.
TJ, Sean, Larry, Jacob and all of the staff are technically savvy, enthusiastic, kind and courteous despite this being a very busy time for bike shops. They make sure everybody feels they are the most important customer. if repairs are needed the back room is always helpful and timely. Will return again for certain.
Horrible customer service. I brought my 11 year old in here to purchase a bike for her and my younger son during the pandemic as I feel strongly about supporting local. I knew they would not have bikes in stock in their size and would have to order. We walked around for 15 minutes while not a single sales person ever tried to help us. I finally tried to approach someone and I told him I needed bikes for my daughter and son just to ride around the neighborhood. He seemed very uninterested in trying to help us. He brought us over to a $1200 bike and told us that would be a good for my daughter. I said I was not interested in spending that much and I really didn’t want to spend anymore than $500. He then brought us over to an $800 bike and said that was a good bike. At that point, I realized this was not going anywhere and I would take my business up the road for my kids. It’s unfortunate when people try to support local businesses that this is the response they get.
So I had a bike accident and a ride I had been training for 14 days later. I was injured, frustrated and worried I wouldnt have my bike back (we were both in bad shape). There for sure were tears on my end. The staff was amazingly patient with me. There were some issues because they are not a Cannondale dealer so I had to take my bike back and forth a bit (which was a TOTAL waste of time). When I got my bike back and there was some miscommunication they were so great about it. To me the value in customer service isnt when things are going right but when they are going wrong. They killed it. Top notch. Couldnt have asked them to do more. They went above and beyond to make it right. I am heading up north today with my girl all fixed up and ready to go.I added some new pieces to my bike and upgraded my gloves etc. too.Their prices are fair. For sure sometimes you pay a bit more cash when you buy local, but its definitely cheaper in the value of my time in the long run.Thank you so much Rivers, Joe and the staff at KLM.
Buying a bike this week was a new experience for me, but at KLM, I was treated very well. I initially met Paul and then wrapped up with Ricardo on a different day. A bike for my size needed to be ordered/transferred, and that only took a short time.Paul took me through my initial questions and recommended a few bikes that may suit me. Ricardo set me up with my test ride, and added a significant amount of laughs to the process. Along the way, different people of all levels of experience came in around me to test ride bikes, or to get service. The guys at KLM had it all covered. If you have any bicycling needs in the future, I suggest you check in with them and see what they have to offer. I am highly satisfied with my customer care.
Francisco & Sean were great help in getting my bike on the road again. I needed a new chain, which they had in stock, but I also needed a new cassette, which was not in stock and difficult to get due to pandemic-related supply chain issues. I ordered the cassette on Amazon, which I had delivered directly to KLM using my name & work order #. KLM installed it the same day it arrived. Im back on the road :-).
Service leaves much to be desired in my two experiences buying from this store. First time bought some SPD Pedals KLM and had to ask the person on the floor a couple times to help me see there selection of Pedals before he got off his phone.2 weeks ago in the spirit of supporting local bike I shops I decided to order through KLM some tubes, CO2 Cartridges and a pump (all of which on the website show that are in stock). When I call a week later from when I did the order, I talked to Larry, to find out the order on my status. They first thing he tells is to call later in the day in a rude tone, do you not have time for your clients. I do have to say he did notice I did get upset and did look up my order (It took him a whooping 2 min. at most) just to tell me that they are waiting for the pump from their warehouse. Larry tells me that it should arrive by tonight and should get a call following day... didnt happen. I called a few days later and still the pump is the hold up. Still dont have my order.....This is definitely the last time I support KLM and will be taking my business elsewhere.
Ive been a KLM customer for the last year and I can honestly say I have had nothing but good experiences here. Francisco has been my go-to bike mechanic since the beginning and hes way overqualified for his job. He has a detailed eye and is clearly passionate about bikes so I always know my ride is in good hands. Larry sold me my first bike and introduced me to my love of cycling; I cycle 6 days a week now including the winter. Everyone there is kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and dont go to any other bike shops where you might be sold something you dont need.
This place is top notch from the selection of bikes to the customer service. I have been in many times now since purchasing my bike. Ricardo was and has been, FABULOUS. It was because of him that I purchased everything I needed to get started. I didnt want to go anywhere else. He was very attentive, patient and answered all my questions. After spending a lot of time with me, we picked out the best bike for me and my situation. Next came Paul for a bike fitting. Wow, amazing attention to detail. There is a lot that goes into what and how you ride your bike. It was an eye opener for me and Im so glad I decided to schedule the time with him. Once again, he had to listen to all my newbie questions, and he did it with a smile. You cant go wrong here and the knowledge between all of them is amazing. They dont just sell bikes....its their passion!! CYCLE ON!!
Beyond disappointed- paid $1500 for a Giant Stance full suspension bike (that was recommended by their store as a great option for mountain/trail riding bike) after 1 month of let me tell you not crazy riding there was an issue with the derailor and chain. I dropped it off with a brand new chain that I purchased and I was told it would be ready in a few days they would call. No calls no response, several calls from me or my son- still no return calls. I was told parts were ordered 2 times to then be told they were never ordered. Going on 3 weeks I’ve called several times with the run around about waiting on parts again- I ask several times for a manager- they’re busy take my name and number and guess what no calls from them either. Finally a call after I’m beyond angry to say the chain is on, pick it up the bike wasn’t even cleaned off. Someone needs to have pride in what they sell and it’s not at this store.
Do not buy a bike from here, absolutely terrible assembly. All of my nuts and bolts lack grease, the derailleurs rub, the handlebars were lose and the pedals were so over torqued that they friction welded to the crankshaft. I recommend REI or any bike shop other than KLM Rochester. This bike shop will make your $1500 bike end up costing you $2000+ because of how much stuff they damage during assembly.
KLM is hands down the best bike shop Ive been to.Theyve helped me with EVERYTHING, from suggesting what to eat during a 30 mile race to the best place to get maps for a 700 mile tour through Michigan. The sales staff has gone above and beyond to order a new, custom bike, and the service guys were able to get me back on the trails really quick.Youre got going to find better service than KLM.
My oldest daughter wanted a new bike for Christmas mind you we already have 8 bikes that they have grown through very quickly so I decided to check out some used bikes. Shawn at the Birmingham store had a beautiful used but appears to be brand new bike that’s going to be perfect for her! Shawn was very kind and very helpful he even put the bike in my van because I had the baby with me. If you’re in the market for a bike I highly recommend this store! Thank you Shawn & KLM!
Shout out to Larry for helping me pick out my first legit bike!My entire experience here was fantastic. I came in with little bike knowledge and no expectations and Larry answered the approximately 1.5 million questions I had, patiently took me through all my options and found me the bike that checked all my boxes. The service team was quick and super friendly when my bike came in. They helped me outfit it with what I needed and got me on the road ASAP. Seriously couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys!
I bought my bike here after a test driving a few different bikes and waiting for a few days. Larry showed me and let me test drive as many bikes as I wanted and was not pushy about getting me to buy one. After I bought it and took it home there was a weird squeak, I took it in and they took care of it promptly and were very nice throughout the whole experience. I highly recommend this bike shop for the high quality of service they provide.
Terrible experience. My bike has been on there wait list since the first week of June and it is September and havent heard from them. I have been calling regularly and getting excuses that didnt make sense. Few weeks ago, one of the guys there told me to bring in my bike, however when I brought it in they refused to take it saying that they were backed up. I was surprised that i was asked where did you buy it from and when I said it was bought in another state he told me that he cant take it in and I have to wait for there call.. I took my bike to another shop and they took care of it within a week...
My experience at KLM was top notch from the salesperson to the owner. I received great advice on purchasing a Specialized Carve. I had been shopping around and mulling over the decision to go from a 26 to a 29 er. Additionally, I spoke with other bike shops and received the best service and price from KLM. Also, they fitted the bike great. I have been enjoying my Carve and I would highly suggest this company for anyone looking for the right bike for their needs.
I recently brought my classic old Schwinn World Sport to KLM. I went to Trek first and all they tried to do was sell me a new bike. KLM, Peter in particular worked with me to get the bike in great order. I am a tall guy and the crazy massive frame of my old World Sport still works well for me. He spoke highly of the bike and its quality and wanted to work with me to update what was necessary. These guys are top notch, and they have acquired a customer for life!!!!! Thanks KLM!!!!!!!
Great bike store, awesome customer service! My wife and I scheduled our bike fittings with Larry at KLM.My wife had hers today and Larry was able to correct some issues that my wife was having on her Specialized Diverge. From improper cleat position, saddle reposition and reducing my wifes handlebar stem, Larry was able to dial-in my wifes body to fit her bike.By time Larry was finished, my wife felt so much better on her bike. She is a hard sell, but she said that getting bike fitted was well worth it!Thanks to Larry and the guys at KLM bikes in Birmingham and to Rivers, Andy and Vince at KLM bikes in Rochester. They truly are awesome when it comes to customer care, service and satisfaction!Sincerely,Fred Lopiccolo
I went to KLM because I was in the market for a mountain bike. I was greeted by Ben; who was a nice enough kid, but could really benefit from some customer service courses because he didnt pay attention to a word I said. I explained that I was a novice to the sport, so I wasnt looking for anything fancy. He proceeded to show me a bike that wouldnt break my budget. The bike he showed me was over $900. I wasnt looking to spend that much so I told him what my budget was. I immediately sensed he was already thinking of his next customer, which I basically confirmed when I asked if they made commission from the sale. Fortunately for us both, I found a bike I liked at a reasonable price. I explained that I needed a kickstand, so Ben mentioned a package they offered that includes a kickstand, a bag (for a phone, wallet, etc) bottle holder, and pedometer. I purchased the package. When I picked up the bike, Ben said they couldnt install the kickstand on my model, so they threw in an additional bottle holder instead. He totally missed my point about needing the kickstand, which being the salesman, he should have known couldnt be installed on that model. In fact, he didnt go over anything related to the bike, nor did I get an instruction manual for the bike or accessories. I learned later, after doing some research online, that I should have been fitted for/on the bike, which wasnt even offered at the time. Sure, I could go back to KLM to get these things, but my experience was so poor that Id rather just go to a shop closer to home.
I was in the market for a bike and Im very pleased that I chose KLM Bike & Fitness. I was helped by an employee named Larry. He was very knowledgeable and patient with the bike picking process. If anyone is considering purchasing a bike. I recommend KLM and Larry for your biking needs.
I love KLM. They are the only LBS that I will trust any day of the week. I have purchased two mountain bikes, countless accessories ordered that were not stocked in store and some of the best bike service ever. The mechanics in the back are down right awesome. Brought my MTB in to have the disc brakes bled. They asked if I needed it done in a day or if I could wait for their super guru brake bleeder to come back from vacation. They told me up front that they could do it, but if I could wait I would be much happier. Incredible service right there.Brought in a bike that I had bought from an online store and pieces together. I ran out of time to put it together and brought it to KLM to be assembled. They didnt mind at all. They prestreched all my cables and after a year of serious riding, I have only had to make one minor adjustment to a derailleur.Brought in an old wheel set to see if they could save them. Ended up being asked by another mechanic what size wheels they were as the first mechanic was taking a look at the wheels. Ended up scrapping the old wheels and purchased a better set than what I had. All of this ended up being cheaper than what it would have cost to true the old wheels. Down right nice honest people at KLM. I wouldnt go anywhere else.Thankfully I had a bad experience at the Trek store just down the road because I love these guys. My roommate had a similar bad experience at the same Trek store and became a KLM fan himself.
Helped me learn what sort of Bike to buy. I was new to the market and bought one from Craigslist (after looking for 8+ months). They serviced and tuned it quick and cheaply. I took it back a week later and they serviced again at no cost! It wasnt that they service for free, but that they stood behind their work. Bike was good, handsome tuning was...Awesome!
I’m nancy’s husband.today I went to KLM and asked the mechanic Francisco if he could adjust my derailer’s Since I was participating in a tri in 4 hours and I couldn’t fix the problem.not only did he take my bike right away, he did a great job on it in a short amount of time.Francisco is a kind and skillful bicycle mechanic. Thanks Francisco, Dennis
I have to give a big shout out to Jesse, Mike, Frank, and Company. KLM really treated me well. I bought an elliptical with a bad fly wheel and they promptly agreed to replace. They did so very professionally and promptly, I now have a good working model that I just love. Im planning on buying a Specialized Roubaix at some juncture and will patronize them again.
I walked into KLM with some semblance of what I wanted to get in a bike, but still pretty ignorant about the sport of cycling in general (Im trying to get into triathlons). As soon as I walked through the door I was very pleased with the teams receptiveness to what I wanted with my bike, and their ability to fill in the gaps, not exploit, what I didnt know. Tim, the gentleman who helped me, was very reasonable in his explanations of the bikes, and was able to pinpoint what model would be best for my stature and cycling ambitions. He did not go out of his way to try and upgrade me to the newest carbon fiber frame, etc. I gave him my price point, and Tim took time to work with me and make a recommendation well within this range. Going into a bike store to buy your first serious road bike can be really daunting, even with prior research, which I tried before talking to the KLM team. Although the price point of the bikes at KLM was higher than youll find on the internet Im happy to have done business with this local company- the service and warranty options available at KLM levels the playing field. The bike assembly was flawless and the team at KLM was great about putting on any add- ons to the bike I bought (i.e. pedals, water bottle holder, saddle bag, etc.) The additional service available for the bike after I took it out of the store is an additional plus. I will be sure to recommend this store to anyone interested in getting started with serious cycling, not only for the purchase of equipment, but also learning how to ride with the great selection of group rides that KLM hosts every week. An A+ business....thanks to Tim and the rest of the KLM team, I will be back!
Ive been going to KLM for over 3 years and have had great service each time. The past few times they just seemed to go above and beyond so I felt it was necessary to get on here and let others know how great Paul, Tim, Woody, Sal, Chris, Ricardo, Nick and the rest of the gang is. Theyve done a lot of work on my bikes (road and mountain) and each time it is an exceptional experience. The people are really nice and know what they are doing. Thank you for all of the help KLM crew!
I cant say enough great things about this bike shop!!Had an unfortunate collision with a car yesterday which left my bicycle unrideable.Ricardo without hesitation dropped what he was doing at the shop came and picked me up,took me home made sure I was ok ,then brought my bicycle back to the shop for repair so I would be ready to race in two days.Amazing!!Would also like to give special thanks to Ben Green from Giant bicycles and Salvatore for all there help in getting the fork replaced.Something to think about before purchasing on line and putting local bike shops out of business.Thank you K L M Bike and Fitness!!
I was at KLM to get my family set up with bikes, kid trailer ect.... After checking out the area stores, it was a no brainer that KLM was the place to get my family squared away for this summer. I had Tim take care of everything. Tim is very knowlegable and got my wife and I set up with what we NEEDED. We did not have a lot of bike knowledge and Tim could have easily pushed us into $1500 bikes we did not need for what we are planning on doing. The rest of the staff was great to deal with as well, but I owe Tim a big thank you for taking care of everything. I would recommend this shop time and time again. Thanks Tim.
This place is absolutely awful. Under no circumstances should you go here. We were moving and dropped off our bikes just to be cleaned and tuned up and they flat out LOST THEM! So they offered us a deal on new bikes, which was not what we wanted and was not money we were looking to spend. They told us they would sell them to us at the price they buy them at from the manufacturers, but that was another lie! They still marked it up! When we decided to shop for new bikes (because we did not have bikes any longer) the person was just confusing, and not very helpful for the average person who wants an average bike. Then when they were rolling the bikes away that we picked out I saw the guy do a wheelie and leave a black mark on the floor with the bike we had JUST PURCHASED! What the heck!? And it does not even end there. When we picked up the bikes they had totally F-ed up everything we asked to put on the bikes. We selected a comfier seat for one bike, and they put it on both! And charged for it! Then they said did not have the original seat and were about to give us this scuffed up one that didnt even match! They put this electronic monitor on one of the bikes and part of a package they do, when we explicitly chose not to do the package, and they forgot to put a kickstand on one of the bikes. How one place could mess up so many times with just one customer is beyond me. This place is a horrible horrible nightmare.
Bought two bikes and accessories - sales staff they have this pompous attitude I can’t stand, went to buy a third bike last week and they told me they couldn’t order a bike unless it was a $3,000 bike. If you’re are not in the market for a high end bike they will get you attitude. My total spend is close to $1,500 at this location and plan to spend not a penny more. Poor attitude staff killed it for me.
Terrible customer service, awful people and over priced. Most of the people that work their are a bunch of low lifes who have no prior experience in bicycling. In addition, they charge you a ridiculous amount of money for something miniscule. $300 to change a tire, my ass.

2022-02-20I am not one for reviews, but the staffing went above and beyond our expectations. My wife got a new gravel bike yesterday, the staff did a great job fitting the bike to her (even swapping out the stem) and making sure everything fit perfect based on her body type. After the bike was selected, the staff took her around the store to get all of the necessary accessories, without trying to over sell her and even finding items from their garage sale. They did all this while another staff member helped me build a new bike, and guiding me though the build and around all of the supply constraints. We cannot thank the staff enough, overall great experience.

2022-01-11KLM is a full service shop for all of your cycling needs. My repair was done in under 48 hours, I received text notification it was complete & was able to get other needed accessories while in the store. Friendly & helpful staff ice the cake.

2022-03-19Just picked up my new Epic Evo. Knowledgeable, attentive, honest and great to work with staff. I feel for them trying to balance customer expectations with ongoing supply chain and corporate issues, but they took care of the retail end that is in their control professionally. I hope Specialized realizes that their is no substitute for retail interactions on the sale of high end bikes, and rewards them accordingly instead of pushing a more direct sale business model. Thanks for your help KLM Birmingham!!

2021-08-06My friends got me into mtb this season. I have zero knowledge about the sport and walked into KLM as a total noob. Luckily Sean was there to help! Guided me, and locked me into a perfect starter bike. He even helped me load it in my truck, cause I had no idea how the truck pads worked. I would highly recommend anyone to go see Sean!

2022-07-01Always a positive greeting when I visit the shop, and the helpful staff go above and beyond to help with mechanical questions/problems as well as any equipment/accessory options I am considering for my Diverge and my AWOL. So grateful that KLM has the customer service and mechanics team that keeps me a repeat customer.

2021-01-24I came to the store with my soon to be 13 year old daughter and wife and we picked out some bikes for my daughter to consider. Sean was great, he showed her several and she ended up buying a Liv Rove with a number of cool accessories. I spoke to Sean about my needing a bike, and I came back and bought a Giant Roam 2. When I picked up the bike the bar ends were already installed, he set it up, watched me ride it to get the seat height correct, then he did the out-the-door once over for the brakes and derailleur. Sean spent at least 90 minutes with me overall. He sold me two bikes, Ergon bar ends, a helmet, a kick-stand, two bottle cages, a tail light, a phone holder, and a lock. This guy is knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. Thank you!

2021-08-11This was my first experience working with KLM Bike & Fitness in Birmingham. I wanted to surprise my nephew with a new bike for his birthday. I called KLM and initially spoke with Chris, who was very generous with his time in providing me with all the information I would need before visiting the store. The next morning, my nephew and I visited KLM and met with Sean, who was equally friendly and extremely helpful in selecting the perfect bike. Our overall experience at KLM was excellent and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend anyone looking to purchase a bike to visit the professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff at KLM. Thank you, guys, for helping me make my nephews birthday truly special. Youre the best!

2021-09-10Ordered a bike a few weeks ago. Found out this week that due to the new company acquisition, my order could not be fulfilled and my new bike was not coming. With this bad news, Larry quickly did whatever he could to find me a bike. After 24 hours of evaluating all of our options (possibly ordering a new one) and searching everywhere for a bike, Larry was able to find me the exact one I ordered and it is perfect. Thank you KLM and Larry for all of your hard work!
