Kroger in other cities:
Got up here today at Krogers on Kroger,25870Middlebelt,11mi.Sunday, morning Sept12th. online said they open at 6am.So they said as of today 7am,Not even recpectful. The other employee didnt, even know.Standing here out side looking at my app.and it changed in front of my eyes to 8Am. only thisstore. Customers need,to have a heads- up.Then one of the employees tried to school me its been posted a week. But customers looking on the door, nothing No notice.Your employees need to learn how to be kind, Not everyone,is hostle. So I give you 1✡ How you talked to customers I said ok,didnt talk back.Or nothing. Its not really that serious😐So I was sitting on thebench waiting, til the store, open the employee,I thought he was going to sweep across,me.Now youall need to be kind toyour customers, allof you employees.Rudetoday.What is going on at this store. That got you, guys&girls so rude.
This Kroger is the worst I’ve seen. I’ve never seen a Kroger close their deli in the middle of the day . When you inquire, there’s a trashy employee that has an attitude and nothing is ever fully stockedafter attempting to go there 5+ times. This is the first Kroger that I’ve been too that is this bad is 20 years.
I have used the pick-up service since before the pandemic, and exclusively since then, due to my husbands high-exposure job. Having tried the same service at many stores, I really think the people at this Kroger are the best. I rarely get any bizarre substitutions, everyone is always really polite and wearing masks properly, and I never have difficulty getting a designated pick up spot. If theyre out of something I really need, I can generally get it later in the week if I try again. I really wish Kroger would allow the people who bring your groceries out to receive tips because I appreciate how helpful they have been to me for over a year now.
Do not use their delivery service! They have thieves working for them. I made a delivery order through Kroger and every item I chose was changed to totally different food choses. They changed my order to items they wanted, my card was charged and food never delivered. I hate thieves and Im sure who stole my groceries will get away with it. I wish I would have screen shot her picture.
Literally the worst Kroger around! I drive an extra 10 minutes to go to a different one. They never have anything in stock and their pick up is HORRIBLE! They are always behind, they never send you the substitutions list to review and constantly give you the wrong items....I have now had to go back to the store and return things 3 times from my pick up order. And when you call to tell them they say those are the procedures and there is nothing they can do about it. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!
This is a standard, mid-sized Kroger. Its well-managed. Rarely are they out of what I want. Its clean and staff are good. After last years remodeling, aisles are narrower (not nice) to fit more into the same space. The one apparent negative: It seems as though refrigerated items are left out. Ive gotten yogurt, cottage cheese, etc that werent bad, but didnt taste as though they still had as much time before their best buy dates as they did. Otherwise, the value is solid. The store brands can be trusted.
Me and my husband have been coming up there for a while and we have been focusing on using the click cart or quick list thing. But there is a young man who sometime has different colors there, I believe his name is Jay he is very nice and always thoughtful but for the pass few weeks we have heard how the older gentleman in that area with him has been speaking to him. And it is just downright awful we have called corporate a few times but clearly nothing is happening, how does a store let a man talk down on another man like that, it’s disgusting and that man mouth is horrible we will be coming up there to make a complaint the next time we shop and if nothing happens we will just try corporate again.
Worst customer service around and I was lied to twice, sat for 2 hours with no updates and no attempts to amend anything. The manager Shamar lied as well, and has no idea on how to waiting on a waiting customer and instead thinks it’s better to wait on the customers that aren’t even at the store. I will note Shamar was very professional, however the service here is unacceptable.
While tying to ring ny stuff up at the self Check out the Lady that trys to help the customers was very impatient with My Son & I while I was ringing up the Broccoli she interrupted us by telling us the item code when we were already in the process of looking up the item by description I have been grocery shopping since I could walk so I know how to ring my own items up because of her I was trying to hurry up & get outta there so in the process of getting the rest of my belongings in the cart I dropped my gallon of milk next time you should let people that know what they are doing let them finish what they know how to do.Thank you
This location doesnt have the variety that other Kroger stores do. No sushi and not a lot of specialty items. Totally unfair that the Birmingham store is 10 times better with the same prices. Farmington Hills has always been a complete dead zone for decent grocery stores. We even lost our Trader Joes. Buschs is the only truly good store in town and is significantly more expensive for most items.
Weve used the Kroger pick up three times at this location. Two of the three (66%) visits have been unpleasant. The first time the order was delayed by an hour. The second no one answers the Kroger pick up phone. I think the pick up service is great in general, maybe just go to a different location for it.
If they say their pickup order que is backed up then their pickup spots should be full. They are not, they are empty. If they cannot keep up with demand then they should shut down the service and focus on other ways of service, say stocking or keeping registers open for faster checkout.
The staff is great very friendly during the morning and afternoon shifts only complaint i have is there have been a lot of misplaced labels in pricing.Adding because lately the bottle return is not reliable, the past few visits i made to return bottles i instead had to return home with them. The machines dont work 80% of the time.
Recently remodeled with great quality produce and good sales! You must have a loyalty card to receive sale prices and the selection of items is generally good. A few issues Ive had recently were a dishonest cashier trying to steal my rewards points (scanned her own card instead of my offered one) and sale prices not updated in the computer system. The Customer Service desk had to re-ring my items with the correct loyalty card and make price adjustments but cashier wasnt reprimanded. The Kroger phone app allows you to load manufacturer coupons directly onto your loyalty card instantly. Very useful! During peak times this store has long lines and is difficult to navigate around other shoppers.
The worst KROGER! They double charged me for a pick up order. When I asked for a refund, the assistant manager did not know how to complete the task. I was told they would do it when another manager arrived. My refund was not processed! They charged me for someone else’s order and mine!
James... I wanted to Thank you for the excellent customer service and your friendly disposition along with your great smile. :)You are truly an asset and you make Kroger look good, they are fortunate to have such a valued employee. Im so happy and grateful to have you as my pharmacist. All the best James...
Throughout the years, this has been our best family grocery store. The prices are fair as long as you have their dumb club card or key-tag. Any yellow tagged/signed items are on sale and are a must buy. You can take up to 250/$25 of bottles & cans, and they accept almost all kinds of coupons. Staff are routinely keeping the store clean and organized.
I Love this Kroger! Everyone is super kinda and polite! I shop for my mom she lives 5 mins away.Fresh produce! Neat and clean store! The management is amazing! They have managers going around asking if you need help!!!!! The cashiers are super friendly and hopefully! I hope they keep this store open forever lol...
Great products great service competitive prices.Today (06-13-20) I asked a cashier if the recall on red onions that they sell had been resolved ? (As it had been publicized on TV only a day or two before that the onions were the cause of people getting sick from salmonella) , Kroger was one of the markets selling the product. The answer I got was, “are you talking about where people were getting sick from Salmonella”, I said yes, to which she said, I dont know, and continued casual conversation. I think even though many business are experiencing difficult challenges during this Covid 19 Pandemic, that it would be prudent for Kroger to keep employees informed and equipped with a pertinent response to these types of questions.
I dont usually write reviews but the service here has just continued to disappoint me. I bought pork chops today from their meat section and when I got home to cook them the same day I opened them and they smelled TERRIBLE like they were spoiled or had mixed with fish which I am deathly allergic to. I brought them back to the service counter that same day and the very rude customer service person did not seem to care at all that I had this issue. She was very short and just refunded me and sent me on my way, no empathy or even acknowledgement of the bad service. I think I will be going out of my way to another Kroger from now on and be sure to tell EVERYONE I know to stop shopping here.
Staff is reasonably helpful though far too sparce and entirely unfamiliar with the complete layout of the store. If you were hoping to do anything useful with the guest wifi (say get info from the Kroger app), you will run squarely into a brick wall of technological incompetence. The produce is average. The deli is sub par. The general stock is well maintained. The dairy department is done quite well. The meat department are rock stars. Frozen is about what youd expect. Parking and cart availability are both well maintained even in hostile weather conditions.
Got rid of the Express lane just to save a buck or two. They may have two lanes open if youre lucky. I have a two year old child, its almost impossible to keep an eye on them and ring up all of my own items. They have about 12 U-scan registers manned by a single person. Used to love coming here, but now I head Meijer for all my grocery shopping. Never coming back again. :(
They have a good selection of items, but the morning staff the really rude. Asked if someone could give me change for a $20 after my transaction was done, and it was as if I said something offensive to them. Had an issue where the self checkout didnt give me cash back, and when I asked about it, the person I spoke to didnt care one bit. My bank app even said I was charged for the cash back I opted for. Now working with my bank to dispute the charge... Dont go here, the staff sucks.
All of these reviews are old... (8/20/2014)Kroger has made significant investment/improvement in this store during the spring/summer of 2014... All of the changes have elevated this store up to the level of all of the other newer Kroger stores in the area. Produce, Deli, Meat/seafood area all completely revamped and upgraded... The bottle return area is modernized, upgraded and moved to the front of the store where it belongs, not an afterthought anymore...This store is less than a mile from my house so Im grateful for the upgrade...If you havent been there in a while, drop in sometime. Youll be pleasantly surprised...
Not as upscale as the Kroger in Bloomfield or Birmingham. Store clerks noted that bags with handles are not carried at this location as another store will have. Its a nice Kroger. Store personnel is friendly and helpful. Would definitely shop there again. Clean store.
My wife and daughter and myself went into Kroger to do our shopping. When we were finished we went to cash out. The cashier was on her cell phone. Rang everything up. Never said a word to us and just kept talking on her cell. Rude as hell. It so ridiculous it sounds made up. Sadly its not.
Always over-crowded when I go here. Building is too small to have end displays which makes it difficult to turn your cart around with the masses of people there. Also the bottle return area is a nightmare at this location, and staff is minimal to clean it out. If they do show up, they prefer to hit on you instead of doing their job.
This store has really become a disappointment. Stock is low, very often out of items, just recently there were no bags in the produce section, when I asked an employee about getting more bags, he replied I dont know and walked away usually there are no baggers, and some staff members are rude.
Harley was an angel at self checkout today. I had to put items back, void items and figure out how to properly do multiple pay mode. Harley was there for me every single time and she was very respectful and polite. She thanked me and performed customer service that I want to mimick in my own work place. Thank you Harley.
Fresh fried chicken 8 piece deal, on the bottom 4 pieces were refrigerator cold so not Fresh yesterdays chicken really big disappointment !!! I have a very limited income this was supposed to be a nice treat for me instead it made me SAD😔 The flavor of your chicken is over all good but Day old doesnt work for me. I saw th young lady going through a big pile of chicken really slow I was wondering what she was doing , it took her a while to put the chicken on the platter a long while , I thought she was selecting nice pieces for me but I was very wrong ! I NEVER WILL BUY YOUR CHICKEN AGAIN I FEEL DUPED!
There are some good employees and then there are some rude employees. Take for instance the old woman white woman working the 15 items or less register at roughly 7:28pm (May 2nd). Didnt ask for kroger card, didnt offer to scan the kroger card at the register. Was just miserable in general. Forgot K card at home. The nice younger employees Ive havent experienced issues with for the most part and there is one older woman that works there who is nice. But the old women make it a terrible experience. Im not looking to have a great time shopping but I expect not to leave pissed off. Its already challenging enough trying to navigate around a lot of the oblivious customers who dont realize other humans exist. Its like people dont know how to say excuse me anymore. My mom would have scolded me for not being curtious. People here seem to have grown up with different standards.
As far as grocery stores go this is a very nice one was very helpful staff. Prices range from slightly expensive to pretty good deals. The only thing is late in the evening parking sucks. But thats the only negative thing I can say about the store they have everything you need plus some.
Kroger used to be our best family store for 15 years. NOT anymore. Employees has gotten old and my children grown up. But since winter of 2018. It all went south. Prices went higher and sadly quality went down. LOWER price poster are larger and products are of low quality.
All I can say is wow. I went in looking to get a variety of Paczkis for a Fat Tuesday celebration at work and Sherrie in the bakery took time out of what she was doing to help me. She took the packs of four and converted them into three dozen of all the different flavors to make sure I had them all. So grateful, what a kind woman.Thank you Sherrie!
This is probably one of the nicest krogers Ive been to or at least up there on my list. Lots of customers in great turn around on their products so you always no the deli meat this fresh their fresh cut meats are actually fresh and their vegetables and fruits are fresh. There is a Meijer about 3 miles away from this location yet they cannot provide the quality of service and products that this local Kroger does
I shopped at Kroger Farmington Hills every weekend. But today, I had a very bad experience with the lady standed in self-checkout. Around 5:30pm...I was ready to self-checkout. I had a coupon and 2 bottle return slips ($2.10&5.90), so I gave the lady...but I saw the screen wasnt right...she scanned twice $2.10, so I went to tell her and ask her to fix it...Unbelievable, she was so rude, impatient and slammed the receipts on the counter...wt*....yup, I said the bad word. She told me that I shouldnt use that language...oh, yes, I know....but if she didnt make a mistake and slammed the receipts on the counter...I wont be mad....of course I called the manager on the phone when I was in parking lot.... Is right customer service??!!
This Krogere continues to disappoint. The shelves are always empty and produce is bruised and bumped, if you can find the produce you need! Organic section small. Now they have added several more self checkouts, 12 to be exact, and only 5 check out lines. Took me longer to checkout than shop. I will not used the self checkout so thats my choice, but I do believe KROGERS should have more check outs than self checkouts for their prices!I pray this Krogers gets better. Its so close to our house and we would appreciate a better shopping experience please! Ps. Seafood and meat guys are really nice! At least they have one thing going for that store!
Way too cluttered. Hit or miss on customer service. More often than not they are out of items that I buy regularly. I went there today for the second time in less than a week and both times they were out of lunchables. The baggers are usually the most friendly staff members that they have.
I love Kroger, but this location is a disappointment. For starters, the store is extremely busy and the isles are so narrow its nearly impossible to pass cart vs. cart in most isles except frozen foods and produce. Secondly, the employees are extremely rude on the front end of the store, mainly cashiers...specifically the 60 something blonde with short hair who runs self check out. Lastly, they are always out of stock in main isles making you search end caps to find the displaced items. This store is embarrassing to the Kroger brand versus my old Kroger in Canton where room was plentiful and help was actually helpful and they had what I needed, when I needed it. Im shopping elsewhere...this place needs a review by corporate, they suck!
This location has the same basic layout as some of the newer Kroger stores. The dairy section was missing quite a bit this trip, and Im wondering if it isnt due some kind of logistical issue with the weather being what its been, so I will give it another go at a later date.
Not a great store. Very outdated and there are always long lines. Also the flow of the lines are terrible since there is little to no space between where the aisle ends and the lines for the cash register starts.Deli counter is understaffed and the Redbox has a line every time I tried to return movies. If you have to go to Kroger go to the one on 8 mile. So much nicer. Thats where I go now. Its 2 extra miles drive for me but well worth it.-J
Kroger has good options and decent prices. I love that they stock many vegan staples, like nutritional yeast and liquid smoke (found by BBQ sauce) along with beyond beef burgers and vegan ice cream! It would nice to have prepared jackfruit and seitan options or even vital wheat gluten, but their tofu is cheap and plant milks plentiful (all easily grouped together behind the produce)!
Nothing but bad experiences here, and today was the last straw. I dont expect Disney amounts of smiling and customer care but every time I check out at this location it feels as if the person working the lane woke up on the wrong side of the bed for 3 weeks straight. I had one woman do my entire transaction not saying a single word to me after having what seemed like a nice interaction with the woman before me. Another rolled her eyes about hard enough to dislodge them when I accidentally hit cancel while trying to do a card payment. Then today I tried moving the divider to go between me and the family behind me as a courtesy to them, but I guess youre not allowed to touch the divider because the woman working the check out literally yanked it out of my hand without a word. Then told me (in a voice like shes being burdened by my very existence) to empty the items out of my basket. Ive never been to a store that didnt let you just put the basket on the belt, but thats fine if Kroger doesnt want you doing that, but dont tell me like Im some snot dribbling idiot thats ruined your entire afternoon. Ill be going to Meijer from now on.
This is my least favorite Kroger around here. Cashiers are rude and when you use the uscan and you need one.....Forget it...theyre too busy gossiping with each other and acting inconvenienced that you are making them do their job. In the morning Farmington Hills buses use it as a bus depot so good luck parking
Although, I’ve gotten past most my bad experiences here, this one, I cannot. Molded Blackberries and they want me to bring them back! Yeah right, so they can be put back on the shelves! In the garbage!!! I’ll take a $5 loss to make sure no one gets sick from those blackberries!!!!
This store is horrible. The managers are the worst. Stay clear and boycott this store. If you are a blue collar worker trying to make a life for your family don’t shop here. They treat employees like garabage. The company in general seems to not care one bit about he “little” people. Just BEWARE!!!
It’s a Kroger. Don’t have rocket scientist or scholars working there. Not in the best neighborhood( low income and trashy. ) Has the basic stuff if need to make a quick stop. More concerned about the roughnecks that live in the area stealing my Tesla as they can’t stop drooling over and asking what it is. It’s a EBT store for sure as that’s all I have seen people in line using. People are reviewing as if it is a papa Joe’s in downtown Birmingham lol
The meat is spoiled every time I brought from this particular Kroger everything was bad the fruit the veggies the meat the seafood I would t advise anyone to come here anymore I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star but google doesn’t let you very bad place there freezers are always shut off everything is spoiled

2022-05-22I have done several pickups from this location. They are always out of at least 6 things from my order. They offer substitutions I take them, then I dont get them in my order. Trying to get your money back from items not in the order is like trying to pull teeth. Nobody knows what they are doing, they offer the items but sometimes its not worth the trip to go back all the way there to get them. Last week they forgot HALF my order, all my frozen items!!!! Just refund my money, cash money!!!! I dont want a Kroger gift card because you forgot my stuff!!! Just refund me for crying out loud. I will never shop at this location again. They need to take accountability and stop transferring people all around the store.

2022-04-14They seem to be out of stock of certain items more than other supermarkets Ive been to, even during the Covid era. Also, they should post hours for their can/ bottle return. Ive wasted a few trips there because they apparently close it whenever they feel like it. Just let people know when its going to be open or closed.

2022-01-10Often out of items and generally not the politest bunch, seems they close earlier and earlier now. Within 3 months they’ve adjusted hours twice, to close earlier both times. Pretty soon this store will be closed more than it’s open. I’d say by summer their hours will be like 7:30am to noon at the rate they’re going. They have like 20 people there during the day, I guess they cannot convince any of them to stay an extra hour? Or adjust the schedules? Who knows. I’d suggest the 5 Mile and Merriman store or the 12 Mile and Halsted store instead. 8 Mile and Farmington used to be a great option but they’re falling off too, soon to be closed more than open as well. Looks out for the night cleaning crew as well. When they use that floor buffer or whatever it is, you better make sure to get out of their way or they will plow you over with it.

2021-12-22So is it beef or pork? Scary that the meat department can’t label it properly! Can I trust the sell by date too?

2022-01-11Constantly out of stock of many items not just 3 or 4. I think I had a list of 100 items and out of stocks on 25 if those items I needed including 1/2 gallons milk. Really? Milk? Its about same every other week I shop. About 25% out of stocks. Other stores in area are amazed they are out of so many items. Many of of the Out of stocks are AD SPECIALS. When I managed a grocery, I had to adjust my stock orders to meet AD demand. They refuse to adjust and dont care they are out. (Ive complained to them). Go somewhere else is attitude. They are TOO BUSY. (Seems like they would want more business). Wish I could manage a Krogers. I would get stock in.

2021-12-03This is a smaller store with less variety than other Kroger locations, and the aisles are narrow, with all the display items, though maybe this is a holiday thing - regardless it was pretty tight in there. The parking lot is large and the line moved quickly.

2021-09-03This Kroger’s location is consistently NOT STOCKED with even basic food staples and foodstuffs. The fruits and vegetable section is not very well maintained, and the staff never seems to be organized enough to offer good customer. Also, the store is not always clean and maintained. I often have to go to the Kroger’s location at 12 mile and Halsted to get quality service and shop in better stocked areas.

2022-01-30Dont leave your cart out of your site here!! I walked away from a full cart for 30 seconds and an employee stole it. I had to spend another hour re-shopping. Trash store.

2022-01-11Customer service is nonexistent, store is not prepared by 10am. Floors are dirty and they only carry half of what a normal Krogers carries. First and last trip here.
