Kroger in other cities:
Me and my mom went in for some greens. So we asked the boy did they have any in the back and he said he wasnt gonna spend his time going to look for some. Then when we went to the management he went over to look for us and took the boy with him guess the boy got mad because we went to his manager. Mind you it was two other boys stocking with him. Once he came out with management he was shaking his head and laughed. We ended up getting into it going back and forth. They are very disrespectful. Ill never go back to this place. We was already getting looks when we walked in.
Ordered click list. 2-3pm pick up . Arrive at 2:23pm at 2:46 they say the shipper still shopping for our order and that about half done. At 3:26 the girl says none of our order done and will be done until tomorrow. Are you effing kidding me that the first lady lied to me by telling me it was almost done. I get that things happen and could be short staffed but don’t lie to me we wasted over an hour sitting there and then had to re-shop. Lady also told me our groceries would be discounted well the order cancelled re-shopped and almost 2 hours later heading home. Do yourself a favor and shop another Kroger.
Everyone complaining about the pickup needs to realize they only have teenage girls working there. Source: I work here and my mom is the department lead for pickup at this store, they get blitzed and often have to get management to help and are still hours behind. The turnover rate here is higher than at fast food.
Loved the grocery pick up until they forgot half of my order. I was told they would refund in 10 days. Three calls and 21 days later I’m still being told that nobody knows anything about it because a supervisor needs to do it. I’ve had notes left for the super and now today I was told when she does process the refund it’s going to be another 14 days. Who has time to keep following up like this? Ridiculous. No longer using this service
I did a click list pick up order for same day. My pick up was for 6-7pm. I received a text saying my order was ready for pick up. I checked in to say I was on my way at 6:00. The store is about a 20min drive for me. I get 15mins in and I get a phone call stating they are short staffed and my pick up order is 2 1/2 hours behind. There’s NO WAY I’m coming back out at 830pm to pick up my order! I cancelled my order and just did my shopping myself! I’m very disappointed, not once did someone apologize or try to make it right for me. I’ve always rotated my order pick ups between Kroger and Walmart but looks like Walmart will always be my go to from now on.
This is my favorite Kroger! I drive over 10 miles (passing 4 other Kroger’s) to shop here. Best produce, great selection of bread and groceries. Store is clean looking and smells clean. Staff are helpful and nice. Gas price is cheapest around. This is my go-to Kroger, hands-down.
Went into this Kroger today and was in absolute disgust with the filth and zero precautions they took in their Covid response. Went to grab a cart and before I found a clean one I had to move four other carts out of the way that all either had a used mask, pair of gloves or Kleenex in the cart. The whole thing was absolutely disgusting and I will not be back.
Store is great its our go to, customer service desk is usually pretty friendly. Not sure why so many self scans, the prices do not reflect keeping costs down to do the work yourself. At the rate they are going you wont be able to get a lane that is attended, not sure that is a good thing.
Every time I go here, the bottle return is down and has problems. I liked this store when it was new but it has gone downhill. I would like to stay loyal to the Macomb location but lately Ive been having trouble finding certain items in stock. I think the bottle return would be a deterrent that would cause many customers go somewhere else. Please get it together!
Nice looking store. I was hoping for better produce as the fresh spinach bundles all were wilted or had the gooey dark bad leaves. The kale leaves were also not the greatest but found one that was ok. I dont really like the layout of the store compared to like meijer. Some items were a decent price like 10 for 10$ items. I feel like meijer and definitely walmart had better prices for the same items. We used the child cart with the play car attached to the front of the cart and all 4 were pretty beat up, all of them had tons of ripped off sticker goo on the seat backs and was turning black from the dirt, and over all gross looking and sticky. They need to replace them all or overhaul clean them more frequently than they do. The plus side of shopping here is the kroger point that can be used towards discount gas. Id still rather shop at meijer than here IMO.
I love this Kroger, it’s a normal kroger; except the people who run the seafood area. I asked for 8oz of salmon, which is 0.5lbs and the guy behind the counter gave me a hard time about asking for that much, he cited that he’d have to cut the fish up to give me that much, as if I had no idea that he’d had to do that. I didn’t want a whole piece of salmon, just 8oz, lord forbid. Then, when I asked if he could cut the skin off he said he couldn’t, or at least trying to cut it off is the last thing he’d ever want to do with this kind of salmon. I get home, the piece is filled with bones and I had to cut the skin off myself, not that it’s a problem but it would have been nice if the people who are supposed to know what they’re doing did it for me.The rest of Kroger is perfectly fine, but I felt like an idiot walking away from that fish counter. The guys there are not personable at all.
Bottle rerun is a joke and they’re frequently out of our regular items. Very frustrating at times. If your checking out close to closing you may need to check out (an entire full cart) through the U-scan yourself. If is dependent upon who’s working and if they’ll assist you or open up a proper check out lane. Feeling lucky?
We placed an order for our sons grad party in May and confirmed the order 2-weeks before as we were instructed. Two hours before the party my husband went to Kroger to pick up the food. The clerk at the counter said they made a mistake and accidentally sold our order and they did not have a large portion of the order. We had no time to argue and had to scramble to fill our food line. The following Monday my husband called 1-800-Kroger to vent. The girl who answered the phone said she would take the complaint and someone would call us back. By Friday nobody called so my husband called again. He was told there was no log he called and the person who answered was quite defensive and implied what do you want. They gave us a few fuel points and dismissed my husband.Very disappointed since we are a regular customer and have been for over 15-years. Deceptive commercials as the people who are empowered to assist really dont care if you are happy or dissatisfied.Update on 7/22; My husband went to the Kroger gas station and we didnt have any fuel points other than what we earned. Kroger is demonstrating they dont care if customers are happy or unhappy. Sad.
Terrible employees, can’t even read to put food in a bag, then would like to say they have information on someone’s household. You’re unprofessional and you’re ridiculously goofy. This store is terrible! OVER $50 WORTH OF FOOD MISSING ANd AN EMPLOYEE WANTS TO THREATEN ME WITH MY ADDRESS..... On a 3rd grade reading level.
Not-so-friendly cashier tells me they arent allowed to accept more than $25 for bottle returns. I said thats fine because I didnt have the energy to argue that Ive been doing it for the past 24 years Ive lived in Michigan. So I asked, State law or Kroger policy? She replied state law. So I looked up the law that was written in 1976 and it mentions they reserve the right to not accept more than $25 but are allowed to. Thats fine, Ill take my business elsewhere too. ****update 10/1/19**** made the mistake of trying this place again. Let’s just say I’ll be using the self check out machines. Some folks there could use an attitude adjustment.
Numerous and ongoing issues with their produce department and a manager named Justin.Went there for stir fry ingredients and could not find A SINGLE INGREDIENT that looked fresh. The yellow squash and snow peas were soft and bruised up, ALL of their mushrooms had brown spots and/or slime, and there was only one(out of 8 or so) acceptable bok choy IF WE PEELED THE SOGGY PARTS OFF. It was SO bad! I reported this to Manager Justin and he couldnt care less. He had a box of yellow squash brought out for me to pick a few from and THEN TOOK IT BACK! A few days later I noticed the same limp yellow squash STILL out on the shelf. I reported the issue to the general manager but still have similar situations and problems. I dont even report the issues if Justin is there because of his attitude. We now only stop at this location when necessary.
My car would not start the next morning for 10 minutes after buying 9 gallons of regular Kroger gas on Monday May 11th. It still is having difficulty starting on Thursday May 14. I will write a followup when I fill the tank with non Kroger gas. I notified the store manager Dave and he said that he would look into the matter.
After my main Kroger Bakery did not have the Darth Vader cake topper I called around and found it here. I was told that the background would be dark and and picked butter cream for the icing. My fiance pick up the cake and it looked like something one would buy for the 4th of July and stuck Darth Vaders face in the middle!! The icing was completely wrong as well, they frosted it in whipped cream... I called to have thw lady tell me that there was nothing she could do because her manager was out and she made the cake as depicted in the picture. So disappointed! Cake didnt match anything.. Waste of money!!

2022-01-04EDIT: 1/4/2022Somehow this place continues to decline. Once again whoever is in charge of produce at this store is horrible at their job. They dont order properly or go through to make sure there isnt rotten produce. Also, I dont know whats going on with their deli, but for weeks there was no potato salad, pasta salad, etc. It was just closed down?! Whoever does the general ordering for this store is pretty bad as well. Im constantly having to leave there and go to the other kroger on 26 mile and van dyke. I truly wish this place would get it together already, because they used to be the best kroger in the area 😔 not even close now. This kroger used to be my favorite, but it has steadily declined over the past few years. Who ever is in charge of ordering produce/ going through the old produce needs some new training. The Deli is the worst kroger deli in the area.( save yourself the headache and just go to the one at 26 & van dyke) it really seems like there is a lack of management at this store. Im not sure how often this particular store is cleaned, but there have been SEVERAL times where Ive walked in there and it stinks like rotten produce/ garbage 🤢Good luck shopping and finding exactly what you need. I miss when this was the best kroger in the area 😞

2022-03-06I was so glad to see the Starbucks inside Kroger’s on 26 mile was open. I had great service and the barista Melissa was a joy to talk to. She did a great job on making my coffee. The coffee was HOT and fresh!!! Keep up the good work Melissa , you made my day!

2022-05-15The workers here are very unprofessional, the young man at the self checkout is never in uniform, making him indistinguishable from an everyday customer. This “employee” proceeded to harass me and several others that were just trying to leave the store, forcing us to show our IDs since someone happened to buy a Truly Hard Seltzer at the same time as us. I would NEVER recommend coming to this Kroger, or any ever again.

2022-03-24They put up sale/clearance stickers but refuse to honor the price. Guess management doesnt care about false advertising and keeping customers coming back. There are a lot of Kroger in the area, Ill be shopping a different location today.

2019-12-26Great selection of specialty foods! I follow a gluten free, dairy free diet and it is sometimes hard to find a grocery store to accommodate me. This store had many options and many were even organic! Very clean and organized as well. I would highly recommend them even if you have to drive an extra mile.

2022-05-15I go to this Kroger WEEKLY and never ever have had an issue until today. A kid who wasn’t in uniform or had any form of work ID wearing a green Dakota 2017 shirt not only carded me but followed someone I KNOW out of the store cause I spoke to them demanding ID from him cause it’s “law” you already sold me the product what are you gonna to make me return it? This is actually garbage and makes me never want to return ever!
