Kroger in other cities:
The facility is conveniently located, has adequate parking, is clean and well maintained, and the selection of merchandise is above average compared to most Kroger stores. The employees are very helpful and easy to work with, especially cashier Ericka and bagger Michelle, both of whom make the checkout process easy and pleasurable.
LAZY!!! LAZY!!! LAZY!!! Customer Service here is terrible. I work in Customer Service and I would be passed if my colleagues and employees were this horrible. My wife asked an employee if he wouldnt mind going in the back to grab a specific coffee creamer and he told her hes not doing that. WHAT???? The guy who takes inventory on the products (and he doesnt work for Kroger) went in the back and found us in the store to bring the creamer my wife asked for. They should be ashamed and if your to LAZY to do your job then stay home and let someone else work. This isnt the first time weve had horrible Customer Service here and I wont be shopping here any longer
Pharmacy staff get ruder by the month. Amanda the tech is absolutely not an asset. She is confrontational with patients and when she is wrong she acts like oh well.Pharmacists are now headed in the same direction rude with customers.Amanda even encouraged a patient to call a physicians office to push them to respond to the pharmacy question in the middle of the day seeing patients. Said it might help, nope you will most likely anger the office and not get an answer for quite a while. She is worthless and needs to be fired.Months of poor pharmacy reviews online and I talk to nick the store manager. Talk about another useless one. I make him aware and he actually has an attitude with me for complaining. He didnt even know about all the negative phaacy reviews. Duh social media is your make or break it and you have no clue your pharmacy is hated in the area.Just shows the overall disconnect in the store throughout management. Wont be back and neither should Amanda or nick.Guess kroger is too hard up to fire anyone and it shows.
Went into pharmacy about 3 weeks ago and got the worst customer service from a girl with semi green hair. Her name is Amanda Extremely rude. But I thought ok maybe shes having a bad day we all have those, but nope shes even rude over the phone when I called today. Wont be back to this pharmacy because of her. Just nasty. If you dont like your job, step aside and give it to someone else who cares and appreciates what they have.
While shopping at this kroger today Erica the cashier, was very nice and helpful, she was very patient and considerate when handling my order, and making me feel welcome, the bagger was also very nice helping me take my groceries to my car, all of this due to them being extremely busy. Way to go team 👏👍🙂
I like to go to Kroger to pick up my supplies for cleaning an storage mostly. I also find good snacking items. The fruits and vegetables have not been of great experience but not bad either. I love to purchase their flower bouquets too. It is in a nice location and has lot of varieties. The staff is super friendly and helpful at all times.
This Kroger is garbage. Just went there yesterday. It was extremely filthy on the inside and outside. They have carts all over the parking lot, barley any on the inside. On the inside there is produce all mashed into the floors by people running it over or stepping on it and rotting produce in the coolers. The layout is extremely confusing and discombobulated. It’s just disgusting really.
Im very disappointed with the management at this Kroger. They are CLEARLY not requiring customers to wear a mask. The ignorant people NOT wearing masks, are the reason why this virus is OUT OF CONTROL! All [grocery] stores are required to enforce the face covering executive order, but this Kroger apparently is not. I no longer feel safe shopping at that Kroger.
This particular Kroger is a reset Farmer Jacks store and some of the aisles are so crowded its you cant pass another person so during this time of the Corona virus I dont really like to shop there too much. The people are fine and its a Kroger store but I go to another one thats bigger.
The staff is extremely friendly, and accommodating. The $3.99 chicken dinner special on Thursdays is a great deal. Been a longtime Kroger shopper and the deals are usually better than most other local groceries. Only negative is the building is a little outdated and other newer Krogers have a little more product variety. Otherwise still a great neighborhood friendly store!
This Kroger has really been great and on track after the remodel in 2016. If you havent been to there in a while I suggest you visit. Always freshly stocked, friendly helpful people and great service. Both self check and attended check out lines move very well. Im in Im out! And the fuel rewards help.
The cashiers and customer service window are definitely hit or miss concerning attitude. BUT: I love this Kroger! They have a great selection in all areas, including produce. They also have small sections throughout the store where you can buy Manager Special items at lower prices. These items are fine, just dented or near expiration. Ive saved so much money shopping the specials! Its well organized and always clean. And they even have a sushi kiosk that rivals other big chain stores with the same service (theyll even let you put in a request for something and make it while you shop). Its delicious! They also have a damn good cheese selection. They recently expanded to a more super-grocery store type setting, but I can still find what I need, and now theres even more to choose from.
The workers are friendly and there are some good products. However, I was shocked to see a dog in the store. I really felt gross as I saw it sniff the fruits. I understand that there are service dog who help the blind. However this customer was not blind. Stores have to have better rules and only allow service animals in areas of food.
I work late needed a couple basic things but emergency things like toilet paper food for rest of week and feminine things. This Kroger has always been open till midnight the website says till midnight however to my surprise at 11:40 as i walked towards doors an employee i imagine a manger since he had keys to door informed as of tonight they closed at 11?? If that’s the case update your website in advance. It’s weird to me that between me being there last night around 11 to me being there 15 min before close 11:45 the hours changed? So did the hours change or does Kroger have a manger turning away a almost daily customer away cause he wanted to go home?
What they lack in variety (this being a smaller store), they make up for in quality. The produce section is very tiny, but what they do have is fresh. The cheese counter is overflowing with a variety of cheeses to try, including smaller misfit blocks that they put on sale--a very economical way to try a new cheese you arent sure about. The pricing at the store is more than competitive with other grocery stores in the area.
I go here regularly. A quality grocery store with affordable prices, deals and specials. Most of the staff is extremely friendly and hepful, but there are a couple crabby old ladies. Sorry, dont judge the store if you land one of these bad apples. There are some great employees here.
White haired older lady employee was so outwardly rude to me! From making loud sighs as I struggled to grab my cart to yelling at me in checkout for putting my beverages on the scanner, she made the experience extremely stressful! It was one of my first trips out since having a baby! Will not be returning!
In an effort to become a more clean, healthy eating society, this Kroger does not want us to purchase healthier options. Please look into the vendors that you use for your fruit. Not once when I have gone there has there been legitimate ripe fruit to offer. A healthier society is worth more than a healthy profit margin because if you sold better fruit, more people would come specifically for that
Dont bother going at the end of the day. The store is so understaffed that most items will be out of stock by then. Its impossible to find a cart or a basket most of time, the store is almost always a mad house, and the employees are pretty clueless. Also mostly unorganized.Go down the street on Walton 2 miles till you hit Buschs. Much better shopping experience.
I live less than two miles from this Kroger. It use to be convenient to frequently shop there. About four months ago it changed store managers and the quality went with it. The rollers on the check out lanes became constantly slimy and wet every time I checked out. I told management and nothing changed. The store staff that use to be engaging, happy, and helpful were now visibly stressed, angry, and borderline rude. I also noticed price increases on various items. I do not mind paying more for convenience, but not when the quality drastically deteriorates.
Stay as far away from the Pharmacy at this Kroger as you can!My daughter was in the hospital they put scripts in on a Saturday and she got out on the Monday, around 7pm we go to pick them up only to find they hadnt even filled them yet. When I asked why they shrugged. Now today I go to pick up one that they had to order over a week ago only to find they hadnt bothered to fill that and the Pharmacist says oh she needs that one? Then was told it would be at least 25 minutes. When I asked the tech when the got it in they looked away from me and mumbled RecentlyOn top of all that one of the scripts we did pick up they had entered the wrong dosage information and had it 3 vials 4/day instead of 1 4/day. Good thing we know better
The Clicklist area in the produce department, makes it hard to even get into the store if you use the south entrance. 3 of the Customer Service people act as if anything a customer needs, is the biggest pain in the rear. WHY are they in Customer Service? Nick, on the other hand, is great!
The store was remodeled and enlarged abouttwo years ago. Now, the produce section and foods selection in general rivals Meijer or Target. I purchase locally grown lettuce nearly exclusively there because of the quality and price. Lots of gluten free options scattered throughout the store each marked by an additional tag under the items price tag for easy ID (for the most part at least). The staff is kind and i never feel watched. There is dedicated pharmacy parking and people seem to respect it. Unless Im looking for something specific that I know they dont carry this Kroger is my preferred market.
This Kroger is literally the most consistently poorly stocked location Ive ever been to. They are tea rely occasions where somethings hasnt been out of stock for a prolonged period of time. Its disappointing because the remodel is nice, but when there are destroyed freezers and empty shelves without any replenishment(4-7 days looking the same), it is a massive deterrent.
Pharmacy is EXTREMELY judgemental with what you are getting filled.Keeping a copy of my script (not the original) filling it without permission causing chaos and not informing people of new manufacturer of a medication-plus hour wait for one script is ridiculous & unprofessional. Place used to be decent now Ill shop and get prescriptions filled elsewhere.
I had to share my experience about this store!!! I went to three other krogers and a Walmart and everyone of them had broken can/bottle returns today. I called ahead to this store and Chantel answered the phone assuring me that I would not be sent away. As soon as I got there I was greeted by Loreyon who helped me return all $40 in cans I had dragged around to the other 4 stores! I was so impressed with her that I notified two of your managers: Debbie and then Nick and I was super impressed with their levels of communication. Thank you, it was an absolute pleasure shopping here :D
I go here out of convenience but I have to say the people who work here arent the most friendly. There is one manager I have seen in particular who Ive seen belittle a customer. Unacceptable. The pharmacy is awesome though! Always very fast and very friendly. I always use this pharmacy because of my continued supreme service.
Most of the time I appreciate this Kroger. But not today. When the bagger asked if Id like paper or plastic, I replied , Id love all my cold items in paper. So what did I get? My meat in paper. But my cold juice, eggs and cheese in plastic. So I had to get paper bags and repack my bags.
Just 1 regular lane open on a busy Saturday afternoon. Called the store to ask and was told they were shot handed and there wasn’t anything they could do. I think the service desk saw me typing this review so they opened another lane, which is why I upgraded this to 3 stars rather than 1.
Horrible customer service intuition in thisstore. An employee looked directly at me upon entering no the store and didnt even muster a hello. Went to the customer service desk to purchase my 4 items in order to get a larger amount of cash back. I was told that she could not ring up my items and instructed to take them to the other lane. She presumed that because there was no one in the other line that I would not be bothered or offended by her instruction. I was informed that at the customer service counter they are not allowed to ring up customers because some sort of hour allotment that she referenced... I found it to be lazy and rude to refuse to help me with the purchase of my items. There were many better ways to deal with the situation and this newly enforceable rule that Ive never been subjected to. To my surprise the lady at the counter is the customer service manager!?!? Might I suggest looking into a book titled Raving Fans....maybe then something would have been offered along the lines of Im sorry, maam but we are no longer able to check customers out at this counter...let me help you this time and next time lets visit the check out lane first then we will be glad to assist with any of your other needs at the counter.
If a mother, accompanied by her underage daughter, wanted to buy a nice rosé to take the edge off her already stressful job, are you to assume that the cashier is going to ask for ID of both the mother AND the daughter, or just the mother, who is the person paying? The cashier today denied selling me alcohol today because Ms Sally wanted to card both me and my partner, even though I am the one paying, my name is on the card that I was going to use to pay, but she wants to play games and ask for both of our IDs. Really?Really?Listen, I have a receding hairline and gray hairs, so the fact that I’m being carded is a joke in itself, how about we stop playing these dumbass games and you guys sell me my wine and we call it a day.Oh, but the best part? You might wanna sit for this one, this s*** is on a whole different level.I ask for the manager because, again, I’m the one that’s buying the alcohol, with the money I earned, as is my right to buy as I am over the age of 21. And you know what Jason the manager says? He proceeds to tell me that it’s “the law” for both myself and my partner to be carded. Excuse me? You’re a manager, not a lawyer or a judge. Just because you want to wear a tight dress shirt and dress pants does not give give you the liberty to interpret Michigan Alcohol Law to your convenience. In the end, I walked out without my wine or cart full of groceries. I want to enjoy my vegetables with my wine and if you can’t offer me that, I’ll go take my business somewhere else. I’ve bought alcohol with my partner at other grocery stores without any problem whatsoever.I hope from the bottom of my heart that this old woman was not acting the way she was because she’s homophobic or racist. Because honestly, Kroger doesn’t deserve that. Will be coming back, but only to use their bathroom because this Kroger location is all that it’s good for: so I can take a dump and wipe myself.
Let me tell you a story about how Darren saved me.My wife is very pregnant with twins and yesterday (about 16 hours ago) we were in Kroger. She saw this amazing ice cream on sale- “Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle”. She points and says “Babe! Look at the brown butter bourbon truffle ice cream!” Let’s call it “Triple BT” for this story. After some time of inner pregnant deliberation, she decided against getting it in the interest of so called health. While in bed last night she turns to me with puppy eyes and whispers “I wish I would have gotten that triple BT”. The smallest tear found its way down her cheek.Today, while visiting Kroger, being the amazing husband I am, I remembered she wanted ice cream! But I forgot the name of it. Darren was stocking ice cream and I told him of my quandary. He stopped his stocking duties and helped me search. All I could remember was that it was truffle something. So I called my wife (of course) and she said for the third time- it’s “brown butter bourbon truffle” ha! She will be so happy when I walk through the door triumphantly holding her dear Triple BT.I hung up the phone. Then immediately forgot the name.“Husband dies by ice cream craving pregnant wife” is a headline I imagined tomorrow. This was it. I was done for. Do I leave and say I saved a small child from a falling display then forgot about her ice cream in my heroicness? That was the only was I was going to see the sun set this day. After much frantic searching, I hung my head and turned from the ice cream section in defeat.I would form the perfect child saving story on the way home. While I was checking out the other meaningless groceries, I felt a tap on my shoulder. Darren. Sweet sweet Darren stood behind me holding a glowing frozen pint. It read “Brown Butter Bourbon Truffle”. I almost cried when I read it’s glorious description. He had continued my failed quest even after I walked away.Thank you Darren from the bottom of my heart. I live to see the sunrise tomorrow because of you. Tomorrow’s first light glistening over the snow covered trees will be dedicated to you, for you saved a man today.
Bathroom was trashed. At the self checkout, the associate was clearly staring at me like I was going to steal something. Maybe she was prejudiced towards young adults or something, but that was very annoying. Also this is just a standard kroger, so you wont find any clothing or an extensive pharmacy/ health area. I would just skip this place and go to the meijer down the road on Adams.
I went to this location for the first time since we moved and used their ClickList service. I realized as I was putting stuff away that they had forgotten a few items. I called them and they apologized and fixed it with a solution immediately. I’m very happy with this location.
Corner of Livernois and Walton...This location is by FAR the WORSET ever!! Every time I go they are out of something, vegetable mostly on the bad side, products are missing or like they say it should be coming soon?? Workers have no idea where and when will they get them if they do!!! They carry much smaller variety than the other locations around ie. Troy, Auburn Hills, Sterling heights....etc.... I think Rochester hills location has the worst one by far!! SO disappointing !!!
My wife thinks Im crazy, but Im a bit of a Kroger connoseiuer. I get weird satisfaction from visiting various Krogers in the area and ranking them. Not on a spreadsheet or anything insane like that...just in my head.Anyhow, this Kroger ranks right up there in Oakland County. The layout took me a while to get used to after recently moving to the area, but Ive got it figured out now.The big bonus about this Kroger is they recently installed a Deli Order Kiosk which is amazing. Just use the touchscreen to let the Deli know what you want and get on with your shopping. No more waiting at the counter for 20 minutes to get your garlic bologna and american cheese. Just dont do what I did and place an order with the kiosk and then forget to pick it up when youre done with the rest of your shopping. Oopsie.
Thanks items are always missing the the shelves on Saturdays very disappointing produce was empty today and missing and the produce that was there wasnt very good no bags of pears were there either no help was around anywhere to ask for help pharmacy technicians missing in the pharmacy each day now that I have to go in there bad reviews bad
Happy with store and employees HATE HATE HATE the lighting in the parking lot since they remodeled !!!!!!! It is DARK !!!!! There are not near enough lights and those that are there are shining on the front of the store would rather see whos in the parking lot for security purposes.

2022-04-30Pros and cons. Pro, the store is very clean. Pro, It is well stocked. I liked the effect they have updated the frozen and dairy sections with new doors. It looks nice. Produce section is good as well . Con, the prices are a bit high. Pro, it is very close to me. The signage is easy to read. Con, get there early, because on weekends, because the carts tend to be low. I suggest going on weekdays, tends to be less crowded.

2022-03-15I visited the store today at 10:00 a.m. and there was not a single cash register open ONLY self serve. While I was shopping throughout the store I noticed 6-8 employees performing the pick up order function. I had a large order that wouldnt fit on the self serve area, but had to struggle through it. Management needs to handle the staff to make sure that there is always a cash register open on a Tuesday morning. It makes no sense to me to have so many employees performing other functions and not a single cash register open. Plus the deli was closed.

2022-05-22Not only is the store clean and the products AMAZING but the employees there are SUPER nice and communicate you, unlike other stores. The employees greet you and say bye to you and even ask how your day was! Love this place :)

2022-03-10Had racial discrimination, because I and my family went there and was having difficulties with a register and was looking for staff to help. There was one young man who helped all the white people but not my family whom is black and biracial

2022-03-23I appreciate that Terrell from the produce department went out of his way twice to get produce from the backroom for me. He didnt mind at all and was very kind.

2022-01-12My grandma switched pharmacies because of the rude lady Amanda. Both myself and other family members have gone to pickup scripts for my grandma occasionally and we all mentioned something to each other about how rude she was. Any day any time she just doesn’t care and should not be working in customer service.Rude on the phoneRude in personNever had her scripts ready on time either. Walgreens across the street is so much better and so is the one on Rochester and tienkien.
