Kroger in other cities:
This is our go-to Kroger because of a convenient location. They are often out of stock on items we need when we order for pick-up but then Ive gone in the store hours later and found the items. Beware that when you ask for a pick-up time what you get is not based on what you want but rather when they get around to filling your order.
I have been going to this Kroger for years. It’s the Kroger on Schoenher and Canal. NICK the manager is amazing and makes sure each customer is satisfied. I know this because he came out to meet me while I did a grocery pickup! I think Nick goes above and beyond. Also, when I order pickup my items are accurate and fresh!
Every time I go in there the cashiers/acsms are never friendly. I work at a different Kroger and upper management is always on us about being friendly/greeting customers but apparently they don’t stop in at this location since they keep it consistent with their attitudes every time.
This Kroger is the worst branch. It is ALWAYS disgusting. To start with the bottle return area is filthy. The floor is dirty, your feet stick to the floor. Never do all machines work. The recycling bins are over filled. In the grocery areas you will always find empty stock boxes. Also stock lined in aisles. Not enough cashiers available. I have been going to other Krogers to compare. None are anything close to how disgusting this Kroger is.
I go at Kroger gas stations often !!!(the one on schoenherr 19/ mile)Steve is the best !He provide the greatest customer service of all! That’s something we don’t receive often especially these days !!!!!I appreciate his service which he does it very professional ! Thank you Steve ! 👌🏼🤩
Office staff is very rude, southcentered, stuck up, act like youre bothering them, and act like theyre owed something.Way too busy, overpopulated, its nothing special just another generic Kroger. Also the pharmacy is slow add incompetent, the pharmacists there think that because they are pharmacists ,and educated they are better than everybody else, but they are self-centered ,stuck up and uptight. When you ask them to do any kind of communication with/or pertaining to your doctor to help you get a prescription you need the tone in their voice basically says, leave me alone Im better than you and only I am an educated individual who knows everything. They need to go back to school and learn how to be a nice person. It dosent matter what kind Walk of Life they come from, the pharmacists are just nasty and rude. If I didnt have the insurance that only allows me to go to Kroger pharmacies I would go elsewhere.
No customer service available. Went there twice to return a purchased package of pens. The first time I was told to wait 15 minutes for the employee to get off break. The second time there was a line and we were all told that we could not be helped and no customer service was available. What a joke! Is this really how you run a business?
This morning the gas employee at 5:42am told my daughter that she can not pump gas because “Michigan doesn’t allow us to pump gas until 6am” I have never heard of that. I am very upset and can not believe that was said. I strongly suggest either training their employees better or have people that actually want to work. She went in to pump to another gas station without a problem but since we live closer to Kroger she went there first and was turned away.
BEWARE uninformed employees work here!!!!!!!!!Stopped at Kroger 43893 Schoenherr Rd. on Feb. 1, 2021, 11:58 a.m. for just a few grocery items. Thought it would be faster if I used the self checkout. I put my phone number in at the register to log in my account. Proceeded to scan 3 items on sale with my digital account, but noticed the register didnt take off the discount. So, I asked the older man working this self checkout why and he couldnt figure it out why either. He said he would manually take off the $$ amount discount at the end which he said he did. When I told him I also had a manufacturers coupon, he told me I can only use the digital discount or the manufacturers coupon, not both, WHAT ??? I get home and my wife says it would have taken the discount off at the end (which it did), and the employee was wrong not to use a manufacturer coupon. So, I called a different Kroger and they said both digital and manufacturers will both be honored at their store . Looks as if my wife knows more than the employee does. They should retrain the employee!
This Kroger is by far the absolute worst one to shop at and work at. They don’t care about their customers, I know I use to work there. I would watch my managers say anything to get the customer out of there. I lost my job because a very angry man was following me and screaming at me. I was supposed to be working the customer service desk. I had a line of people and the assistant manager was too busy talking to another employee her friend who was supposed to be on the uscan. I had customers looking at me asking where’s the person for uscan? I went to try and help those customers too, when an angry man who didn’t want to wait in line started screaming at me and following me approaching me! I was scared I felt I was in danger. I went to my assistant manager for that department. Who had no clue what happened and was surprised when I just left, still with an angry customer following me through the parking lot! I called when I got home cause I was scared no answer. I showed up for work the next day and was fired! I was fired for leaving without running around the store to tell the store manager! Union got the recording and fought for me, but Kroger didn’t think it should have been fought for! They are sooo short staffed and treat their employees with special needs horrible! I wouldn’t recommend shopping or working there to anyone.
As Krogers go this one is just okay. They are in a convenient location for anyone living south of M-59 as you can get to them without dealing with traffic. They are often out of stock on items and their produce is just okay. Still my go to store due to convenience but not my favorite.
I’m not one for writing reviews, as this is my first, but I was absolutely shocked during my last visit a few days ago. Was in the soda aisle with my two young daughters when I saw a boy who was wearing a blue apron, possibly a personal shopper, smack a young woman’s behind in front of the Starbucks. In front of my kids! And other customers! The poor girl works at the Starbucks as well. When should this be allowed? Ever?
Let’s worry more about getting orders for people online then taking care of the people that shop at your store to checkout. I know it’s because you make more money off the people ordering off the internet but way to have terrible customer service. Only having one checkout lane open in such a huge store doesn’t make much sense. Ohh and 5 to all of the employees but management come on you make way more then your regular employees do and they bust their butts way more then you do. Earn your pay
DO NOT DO ONLINE ORDERING FROM THIS STORE! We had numerous issues throughout the heart of the lockdowns, but were understanding to the situation. They never give you any meat at all, fresh or frozen. None. My wife ordered online today, went at the pickup time, waited 15 minutes when she got there to be told she would have to come back 2 hours later. Again, we got no meat at all. The eggs(organic orange kind) we got had the box ripped open and had 1 white egg and 11 orange. No yogurt out of three kinds ordered. 1 person running orders in and out. Awful customer service. If you cant handle doing online ordering as a store, do offer the service.
Have you ever noticed how many liquor stores there are in the City of Sterling Heights ? For example why are there several of them within one mile of any Mobile home park ? Does PettaprinOwn the politicians ? Why dont the politicians care about the working class ? Go Krogering today
Always the best of service! However, this neighborhood has outgrown this small store and I dont see room at current location for expansion. They should move into the lakeside circle area with a larger store as it could also help generate more foot traffic for the mall.
But I have to admit, I was pretty uncomfortable in Krogers after their remodel. I couldnt see the improvements. They have had time to fine-tune the system and it is getting better all the time.I particularly appreciate the positive attitudes of the employees.I like that there is more diversity.Im very pleased that Krogers has found a way to sell organic goods at a price most everyone can afford. For years, I would not purchase any meats from Krogers as the quality seemed substandard. I have purchased different cuts at least three times in the past couple of months and have no complaints at all.
This store is close to me but I hate going here. I only go when I absolutely need too. Its ALWAYS busy. Hard time finding a parking spot. The store layout is weird, its hard to find what youre looking for. Not to mention theyve changed the layout at least twice in the last 2 years. I rarely encounter a pleasant employee either. And even though they expanded a few years ago it still seems like its too small of a store. I do like the Starbucks they have inside but its in an odd spot. You have to move around in line to let shoppers with carts through. Uncomfortably small store.
The workers do not seem happy. They only have one door open so you have to fight to park close to that area, and no one can give you a reason why they shut off the other entrance. I have ordered curb pickup and they have messed up my order twice. They have given me things I haven’t ordered and forgot things I have ordered.
This krogers is absolutely amazing and the people here are so honest and nice. I reccently left my wallet in a grocery cart and thanks to Alicia at the service desk and the nice young man who takes the carts in, I was able to have all my belonging returned to me. I also love how they offer assistance loading groceries in to the car. The store is always clean and well maintained.
The employees used to say hi to all customers years ago. Well that’s changed. Now they stock the shelves and produce area slamming their crates around as loud as possible. When a customer is trying to focus on shopping, the hostile noise pollution produced by the miserable employees makes me ready to simply walk out of the store and never come back.
Staff is always friendly but yesterday was above and beyond. Matt the manager walked up behind me and found a $100 bill that I had dropped and asked if it was mine. Hard to find quality people these days and he certainly is one! I hope Kroger recognizes what a good employee he is. Thank you very much again sir.
NEVER AGAIN will I stop at this Kroger gas station.Every time I have stopped here they are always out of stock of product inside the cashiers little box they sit in. The worst part about it is, no cares. I can go to any other Kroger any time of day, weekday or weekend in the general area and they always have what I am looking for. Someone at this location has not been doing their job for a very long time costing the company revenue.
This is the Kroger I tend to stop at on my way home from work since its along the route. Its not as busy as the Kroger that I typically go to near my home. It was recently redone so it has a newer fresh look. This store is also a little less busy then the store closer to me, however stock can be low on some items from time to time. No gas station in the lot.
I came here to attempt to cash my stimulus check the lady was very rude from the beginning and refused to cash it because I had a passport and not a drivers license which makes no sense since a passport is considered more valid then anything else. I have a feeling this had to do with the fact I was white but she was at the customer service counter at 2:00pm on Sunday April 26th. I am highly enraged due to the fact Walmart will do it with a passport. Never going there again!!!
I just walked out of your store from the service desk about 15 minutes ago-Friday busy time. There were about 7 people in line and 1 employee-and she was chatting in length with customers. Not the first time desk was under staffed. Also, parking lot was full of carts. I went to Meijer to finish my shopping.
Just had the best experience here ! First it started with me finding a phone & turning it in. Next , I end up meeting the person the phone belonged to ... she was very appreciative about what I did . And we exchanged a hug. Lastly & oddly this wonderful lady and I had parked next to each other . We also shared our day . I never got to tell her that I hope that she finds her sister & have a safe trip back to Nevada. I truly do feel we were meant to cross paths due to the day weve both had ... we both needed a hug and some encouragement.
My first visit and found lady in pharmacy not very helpful, asked for a specific item and she shook her finger and said over in that area then went back to talking to her friend. Store was clean and seemed to be well stocked. Just moved to the area and found a lot of impatient and rude customers one lady almost knocked me over trying to get around everyone. Daughter told me to go to one on 23 mile . . she said the staff is great and the customers are not as pushy.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not go here unless you plan to bag your own groceries and settle for anything other than what you came for. Low stock, limited varieties compared to most Kroger stores. Very disappointed since I moved right down the road from this one. I gave it 5+ chances and eveytime I go its the same thing. I feel bad for the cashiers and how understaffed they are.
I am extremely irritated with this Kroger right now. It is absolute chaos over there since they have decided to change the store layout yet again. It has not even been a year since they remodeled the store and the layout was very nice after I got used to it. I am a mother with a toddler and I do not have time to spend an extra half an hour at the store figuring out where management decided things should go. I really think it is time to find a new grocery store. I understand changing things because of the remodel but why change it again so soon? It is a hassle for your customers and takes up valuable employee time with them assisting customers to find items.
Under staffed! Meat dept, deli dept take so long to fill an order. Not unusual to wait in excess of 15 minutes to place an order has been as long as 25 min, more then once. I buy these products elsewhere now. They change the store around too much. Key employees and some management need to cool the attitudes. Hoped it would change, hasnt!
I was with my 20 year old son and we did our grocery shopping. I got a six pack beer and the lady at the self checkout ask for my Id i gave her and since my son was 20 she refused to sold me. I have been to other kroger’s before i have never witnessed this anywhere. This was my first experience with kroger like this, i am not going to go to this kroger anymore ...
Normally youd be happy to see an item you regularly buy go on sale. I cringe when I see this store put stuff I buy on sale. It means the shelf will be empty and Ill have to go somewhere else to get it! Come on Kroger, get it together, start stocking the items you put on sale or Ill be forced to become a Kroger dropout!
This Kroger seems to have a better selection of produce than the one on Garfield in Clinton Township. Service and cashiers are a little slow and theyve ran out of products that I use on multiple occasions spanning not too far apart from eachother. Consistency is key Kroger. I dont like floating from store to store to find what products I need...
I use to love this location but since theyve added the wheel locks on the carts, I cant stand this place! Always carts everywhere blocking the doors. Today I walk out with a cart full of groceries and my 6 month old in the cart and the dang thing almost flipped over because the wheels locked up at the door. It ended up pinching my finger! Get rid of the wheel locks....your loosing customers Kroger! Ill be going to Walmart from now on.
I dont even want to give one star! My credit card was used here illegally and I have never been there! I live hundreds of miles away. Kroger should protect their customers better! I will never use my credit card again at Krogers and will never reccomend the Kroger pick up service or use it again!
Super convenient because I live so close. But apparantly a lot of people live close to this kroger. Because I NEVER get everything I need because a lot of things are either sold out/ not stocked. And strangely its not everything, its just everything that I want. Like oatmeal, every flavor and brand is fully stocked except for the kind I want, its totally gone...And the garlic, green peppers, and cucumbers are always on the verge of rotting, if you can even get one.
Very horrible Kroger rude employees and even rudder mangers I guarantee you that I will not be coming back to this Kroger in a while. I would also recommend people to call the cooperate manger at this location because the mangers who work here don’t care. This Kroger is also very disrespectful to disabled people. My mother and I were at this Kroger and they told us to get out for no apparent reason and we are black and my mother was in a wheelchair as well.
This Kroger was just renovated and while it doesnt have everything, it is still my favorite grocery store to go to. The newly added cheese section by the deli is my favorite part of this store. There are loads of different and unheard of cheeses with some that rotate in and out occasionally.
Fast checkout, organized well. Recently, theyve been out of certain produce items like non organic romaine and iceberg lettuce. This past visit, they had poor quality selection on lettuce when it was back in stock. There were no notes acknowledging the product was out. I typically shop at this Kroger due to its location and theres not a lot of traffic during rush hour due to its location, but recently the quality has gone way down ... The produce is starting to fall to the low Meijer levelsIve experienced some bad workers over the years but these past two weeks have been the worst. A bagger put other food items in with a raw chicken package, put hard items on top of the eggs, etc etc. I take my groceries out by department ...dry goods, frozen, dairy, etc... when I place them on the conveyor belt to make bagging easier and its frustrating to see fragile or raw items mishandled.Further, on the self check out lines....specifically 4/30/17 @4pm worker, I felt very disrespected when an item rang up at the non-card price. I rarely notice these things but it was my first item at self checkout. Whenever I walk up to checkout, counter or self checkout, I input my Kroger card phone number. Period. Every time. Id done that and when I spoke to her about the wrong price being displayed, she told me that I had rung the item up before I inputted my card. She was rather know it all but I explained to her that wasnt the case and asked if she can adjust it. She shot back a no you didnt. See, look its right here as she pointed to the top line. Again, I said I had inputted it but I guess it didnt register yet (even though the checkout thanked me for being a loyal customer) & once again, she told me that I hadnt inputted it and that I need to do that to get the sale prices. It would seem to be an insignificant event overall, but it was just her tone. I cant explain it but truly, Id never encountered someone with such attitude over a customer asking a legitimate question. Considering that at the checkout counter, the employees begin to scan sometimes before my number is inputted and I always get the sale prices on the entire order, it seems odd to me that somehow it was now implied that it was my fault .... For pointing out an error on the scanner?Regardless, Ill be taking my business elsewhere, even if just to another Kroger. This one has gone downhill quickly in the last couple months compared to the 7 years Id shopped there prior.
I previously rated this store vey high. It is the most convenient grocery store for us and had always been a standard Kroger experience. However, my opinion has changed and since the people I know personally would never voice there concerns with the recent changes, Im speaking for a group of people who will no longer be frequenting this Kroger. The new store manager had apparently taken it upon themselves to reorganize the store in such a way that shopping there now is the equivalent of trying to find a needle in a haystack. I highly recommend, if corporate is seeing this, sending the new manager to a first year marketing class. Its amateur hour over there and I wont deal with it. To many unhappy and very lost customers to trip over while I struggle to find anything in that mess of a store.
Im so much happier shopping at RANDAZZOS, always fresh alot cheaper too!! Not sure whats going on at this kroger location(canal&schoenherr) but, its really been dissapointing every time I go in there. So many empty Shelves, and limited brands. Products moved around again, such a dumb layout. Also I cant believe you give shipt shoppers there own parking spots 😠 upfront!!! I do not like shopping here anymore.
I sadly just went to the store location and walked out in much disappointment a lot of products were not available or not stocked in the produce that was stocked expired tomorrow or only had a max of three days. The deli wasn’t open I walked out immediately produce even looked horrible. I’ve been going to the store for years I don’t remember command going there and I won’t be returning very disappointed
I used to love this Kroger. Now, apparently management had a bright idea to rearrange the entire store. I get making changes, and making things new, but for gods sake the way they have organized everything is like a toddler just spun around, did iny meenie miny moe, and gave every item the most idiotic placement! They used to have a wonderful organic section and people were HAPPY, we LOVED it! Now it takes me triple the time to do groceries because everything from the organic section that I once loved is just thrown about the store. I constantly have to ask where things are located, at which point i am given a piece of paper of where everything currently is. UMMMM, i came to buy almond flour, NOT read a map and go on a scavenger hunt! Not only that, but they are always out of everything. Theyve been out of avocados for three days now...AVOCADOS! So, save yourself time and just shop somewhere else. CEO of Kroger, if this finds you, I hope you realize you really dropped the ball, NAY, threw the ball down on the floor on this so called decision . Being that you probably dont even go grocery shopping, because you make billions of dollars and have people do it for you, do us all a favor and make our lives easier again. Good Day! Ill be following up in 4 months, do better.
The meat department lacked anything, the two workers in the department seemed upset when I interrupted their conversation after wl waiting patiently for 5 minutes. The produce had a selection of the finest bare selves Ive ever seen, the only plus was the express lane was actually express.
After shopping at the Kroger store on canel and schoenherr in sterling heights for years I am sorry to say the products that I was buying have become exstint in the store and more often than not the shelves are empty of the few products that they do carry. I personally feel that I might have to find a new place to shop .I have been to the new and larger Kroger stores and find the same problems with products.
Usually go in the mornings, and the stocking of the shelves has been getting worse as time progresses. Was in this Sunday at 7:30 and the dairy section along with the lunchmeat section had not been stocked, lot of missing items. Also having to dodge more and more of the remote shopper carts as they go rushing around filling those orders..
For the most part shopping at Kroger is a good experience. One place for improvement is at the butcher counter where you have to wait a long period of time for someone to assist you. Im referring to the meat counter where the meat isnt pre wrapped. The butcher has to get the meat pit of the case and weigh it.
This is the oddest Kroger. Cant find anything, everything is laid out weird. I walked around the entire store three times looking for either Frozen or refrigerated pasta... Could not find it anywhere. Also theres 200 people that work there and only 10 that actually work
1 Star only because of the rude employee Alicia behind the customer service counter who doesnt know how to do her job without talking aggressively at customers. Honey customers are the reason you have a job. ATTN KROGER MANAGER: please see to it that ALICIA is fired. And never rehired.
I just had a awkward experience with a cashier name Doris, I bought some fruits that that priced by piece, and before she start counting I told her its 8 pieces, then she turn at me and gave me an angry look and rude face and says I KNOW, I CAN COUNT, then she kept giving me a bad angry look and never say thank you or have a nice day, it look like she have a temper issue, so weird.

2022-04-16If 0 stars was an option I would have chose that. Not only are the store employees rude, but the pharmacy staff is absolutely incompetent. I pick up the exact same prescriptions every single month. They are on auto refill but apparently that is too complex for the pharmacy staff. I have to call multiple times in order for them to fill my script. I have gone a week now without one of my medications because these people are useless. Beyond rude and unbelievably unprofessional. They tell me the script is ready for pickup but when I get to the store it is “still in process” for DAYS. I am a health care worker as well and every single patient we have that uses this pharmacy, has problems with the same thing. They lie to the patients AND the doctors office that sends the scripts. This is unfortunately not the only Kroger pharmacy that operates so terribly. Switched to meijer because Kroger pharmacies are a complete train wreck.

2022-06-17I moved to this area about two years ago and I have shopped here many times! I was hoping it would get better. The lettuce is hardly ever fresh either bagged or fresh always looks brown and wilted! I have found that with a lot of the produce! Yesterday I went there and I purchased hoagie size buns for some Bratwurst. I got home and the bag was turned upside down and I noticed mold on the bottom of one of the buns! They were very stale to the touch when opened! Why were these still on the shelf??? As much as we pay for stuff at this this time we should never get stale or moldy buns!! If I ever go back I will be double checking EVERYTHING! It won’t be anytime soon though, maybe never!! Two thumbs down!! Shame on Kroger!!

2022-06-13Rude, Racist, incompetent, African American customer service manager. She would not process the return for us because we did not have a receipt but we know Krogers return policy. She said we have to know the date, time and register number and then she can look it up for me. She refused to process it and left the counter. Another employee processed it for us with no problem. We always have all kinds of problems at this Kroger. Shop somewhere else, you will get better service.

2022-04-24The produce never looks good. Vegetables are always wilted and bad and this location has a pretty bad fruit fly problem during the warmer months. Recently I bought 3 packages of ground turkey and all three were bad. It was such a waste of money. Store shelves are also pretty bare. They rarely have all the things I need.

2019-05-12I have been coming to this Kroger for about a decade now. I’ve always had a good experience. It’s even better now that they have remodeled it! I like to get the sushi a lot because it is made there daily and tastes awesome (which will be included in my pictures).

2021-12-24The absolute worst experience I have EVER had in a Kroger store. Shelves were empty, no sanitizer to wipe down the shopping carts, no available workers visitable for item look up and products just thrown on the flood. Oh and not to mention, the extremely rude and unprofessional cashier (whom definitely need to be terminated on the spot) was an absolute disgrace to be the face of your company! Let me be clear, it was NOT Liberty (she was very resourceful, kind, polite, upbeat and willing to assist throughout the chaos in this madhouse location). It was the ghetto cashier woman whom caused this place to get a negative 5 star! This unprofessional, loud, yelling through the store cashier who began to scream at paying customers her system crashed when we were simply trying to identify which checkout lanes were open. Then she added more fuel to the fire, opens another checkout lane leave customers standing in the crashed checkout lane and begin to service other customers behind the ones that were previously waiting in the lane where the system crashed!! Are you kidding me??? So guess what? Those customers left their items in the cart and walked out the store!! Now you have revenue loss at a time like this… I completely understand she might have been frustrated, but we are here to patronizing your business with our hard earned financial funds, NOT to be going back and forth with an employee trying to understanding which lane is available. After all of the disarray, NOT one Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead came out to defuse this confusion!! Horrible, I will NEVER return to this location!!

2021-09-20We just go there because its so close to our house. They are usually pretty picked over most days when we go. Check out is usually super slow but the cashiers are nice. Starbucks is good there. Great flower section. We try to stick with going early Saturday morning or Sunday morning (before people get out of church). Usually not terribly busy when we go those times. Obviously dont go after work during the week.

2022-01-21This is not my everyday Kroger but its my next closest store. Beautiful store and clean. Only thing I wasnt impressed with was they have a produce cooler with doors when you walk in and I wasnt impressed with quality of produce in cooler. The rest was great. Nice bakery and meat department. And this was ONLY store Ive been at in last 2 weeks that had a 12 pack of Major Melon Mt. Dew. Nice staff also. Good place to go to shop.
