We received a notice for a recall for our Kia. An appointment was made for 10:00 am. I was promptly greeted as I parked the car - ushered into the write up desk.The girl at the desk was vey friendly and efficient. I was told that the recall work would take about 4 to 5 hours or the rest of the day.A Uber driver, very friendly, came to pick me up and drove me back to my home.Its now 1:27 pm and just waiting for the Uber driver to return me to my car.
I got my car serviced at the lafontaine Kia dealership and it has been leaking oil every sense.I called and called until I got an appointment for November 11 and this was June.Drop my car off to have them fix their mistake and now my engine light is flashing.The young man tells me that there engine person cant see my car for weeks so I tell him Ill see if I can take it somewhere els so than he writes up a statement saying that I reclined service fine he yust told me that his engine man couldnt get to it for weeks. Im outraged
Alaina was great and the dealership has a new feature where they text you a video of the inspection of your car. I loved it and actually had the original belts changed on my 10-year-old car and had an oil leak fixed because of the video. The only reason I didnt give them five stars, which was how I was treated, is because of the parking lot. Rush hour in LA is more fun than navigating that parking lot...
The truck i bought had problems in the first few days. The service department has had the truck sence February 4th it is now the 22. It was 14 days and they never even touched the truck. I have called numerous times and the sales manager never returned my calls or email. So far it has been 18 days and im loosing 200 dollars a day not driving my truck with a trailer.
If you plan on to buying a brand new vehicle or used go to this dealer ; LaFontaine & ask for Luis de Armas. Solomon McKenney tried to help my daughter. But, she need a few items before she WILL BE READY TO GET A NEWER AUTO. He and his Supervisor was GREAT! 😊 THANKS! But,THEY WERE STINGY WITH THEE HEAT. EVERYONE HAD ON REAL COATS EXCEPT for THEE GUY IN PURPLE SHIRT! THAT WAS THEE ONLY BAD EXPERIENCE. HEAT !!!!
We arrived at Lafontaine Automotive Dealer on Saturday and Capus Robinson was the Sales Associate that came out in the lot and showed us the cars that we were interested in. He asked what price range we wanted to be at per month. When all was said and done, I drove home with a brand new 2020 Black KIA Sorento with beige interior. My car payment is where I wanted it to be. I received about $6000 in rebates. 10 year / 100,000 mile warranty. 6 year warranty on the tires and rims. I love this car.
I have been taking my VW for service for six years. In my opinion, they never do any service that is not required. I think they do an excellent job. They notify me of all issues and give me status along the way. They provide a ride service to local businesses if you need to drop off. The car is always clean when returned. Very satisfied.
Unfortunately I had to return a high quality vehicle but it had no reflection on LaFontaine as a person who owns franchise rights to the company I work for I must applaud this dealership and particularly the financial managers Tim and Tom, both are men of great character and though my deal didn’t work at this time I’m still will to reapply in 30 days due to them even refunding me without hesitation. Great people and Great People! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!!!
Always a great experience with La Fontaine Toyota. I actually purchased my Tacoma TRD pro through another dealer, but Lafontaine always does a standup job. Great job by Ron in the service department. Thank you for getting me in for service as well as taking care of me.
Be prepared when you purchase a car from any of their dealerships they sell your name. I bought a car in 2017 I am still getting phone calls and ads about extra protection and etc from companies I do not know. During the buying process be smart and reject their form of release of info. Who knows how much money is enough for these LaFontaine people!!!
All aspects of the sale went good. I have had the car in for the first oil change and that went well. The only issue I have is how you need to answer their surveys giving them 10s on everything. I gave the sales person some 8s and 9s and when I spoke to him on the phone he told me how I hurt him and his family. What good is a survey if you dont answer truthfully?
The service center is the absolute worst thing I have ever experienced. No one answers or returns calls, they expect you to rearrange your life when your car is ready even though it took SEVERAL months to fix without an update. Notice that it would be ready might help a customer who has a job and a life and cannot drop everything because you want their car out of your shop. Horrendous
I have never been to a car dealership that has an approach like LaFontaine Group. Because, they dont have any salesman attacking you as you look around their parking lot. And their No Hurry approach to have you sign a contract is out of this world. I appreciate their Patience in a very trying journey, in purchasing a car that will fit your budget and not their bottom line.
Less than adequate experience this time around even though Ive been taking my Camry there since I bought the car.I scheduled my service online for an oil change and tire rotation. Upon arriving and mentioning the Frontline Workers discount I was told that it doesnt apply to maintenance related things and wasnt honored even though it mentions oil changes on the website.Upon getting the car back even though there was a card that stated the car was sanitized, there was no visible evidence.Witrh a multi-point inspection I also usually get an extra piece of paper that details battery health, brake pad health, etc. However I did not receive one this time around, and would question if it was done.
Excellent service. Our salesman Dylan Green was friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone else was great. We bought a 2020 Kia Rio Hatchback. Great deal. We got the payment we wanted and then got to meet the whole LaFontaine Kia team. Eveyone then congratulated me and my wife on our new purchase. Walked in at 11:30am, drove home in our new car at 4:30pm. Great experiance. If you are looking for a new Kia buy here.
Bought a car here, and just dont feel good after everything I conversed with the car salesman, the rapport just still wasnt there. it didnt matter how much i said, nothing truly connected. he was cleary more of a greedy salesman rather than one that wanted return business.
Need to take lesson lessons from lafontaine GMC,Cadillac in Highland Malcolm the general manager over sales is horrible was talking down to me and lying about info and passing me down to sales people who seemed to busy and confused,left this Location and went across the street to the Volkswagen dealership where I walked around inside/outside the dealership for aleast 20 minutes no not offered any service.thete had to be at least 15 sales people inside the dealership. Mr.lafontaine you need to investigate your dealerships on Telegraph they a horrible and I purchased 2 Hyundais in the last 2 years form those locations.
Kept our car over 2 weeks on recall work then wanted to keep it longer. Never completed work blamed KIA on parts not coming in. Prior to bringing car in for recall repairs they claimed it will only take 2 days and they had all the parts their on site! Story was different after 2 weeks of them having the car and us repeatedly calling to find out what was going on. Car still not completed on recall repairs. Then they offed to do oil change and some other repair free of charge due to them having the car for over 2 weeks but did not do this either 😡
These guys SMH.....TEZ my product specialist wasnt terribly charismatic or seemingly knowledgeable...I booked an appointment after being called 4 times in 10 minutes by these guys....go in and see the sales manager and get your car appraised and test out the car....cool....walked in and the sales manager looked at me and handed me off immediately to the closest guy to him. Took a test drive...liked the car....never got my car appraised....credit came back...not great but not bad either. At that point it seriously felt like he was trying to get me to NOT buy the car. To get me gone so he could go home...said I would need 10,000.00 to get my payments into the 400s....f#&king ridiculous....seriously? For a KIA??????? A KIA??????? nah bruh....send that smoke somewhere else.Update: I bought a loaded Buick regal turbo 2 weeks later. Took less that 3hrs.
It is unfortunate that I even have to write this,but as of right now I am not pleased at all with the service I received from this dealership. I feel like I was taken advantage of just because. From the second day my car was there I had to do all of the calling because my service advisor was not available or was off. A play on words was used and I never received a straight answer until I went to the service department. The straight answer that i received was they didnt even know if the 2300.00 repair job was going to even fix my car. At this point the work that they did, didnt even get my car close to being fixed but I was charged 425.00 for nothing. The mgr claimed it was for 2 hrs of labor and a part that did not solve the problem. They were guess working on my car but the advisor was making me believe that , these steps would solve the problem. However the actual mechanic said it would be a gamble if the 2300.00 job would fix my car or not ........who has 2300.00 to gamble with. I am very disappointed with the whole service department.
Would not recommend taking your car in for service here. They have gloom and doom service advisors and a General manager who backs them. And expect to have your car stay there for at least a month and some repairs wont get corrected within that timeframe. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. You wont regret it.
Wish I went out to the big Summit Place one of those big kia places I probably would have got a better deal and I got scratches on my Kia on the passenger side I dont like it either mad about scratches manager said he may help me come on bring it up there Monday see what happens it was a brand new car I want the scratches off the side it makes it ugly Im mad
I went to check up and see what was wrong with my car but advisor Tony jackson told me I had to pay the 120$ fee before check up, then I did but literally next day i come i meet Tony he tells me that ur car has a problem but we cant know what is it. It was a horrible experience! Dont recommend this place at all
The LaFontaine family of dealerships is an amazing automotive complex. They house Kia, Honda, Toyota and Hyundai in one block on Telegraph in Dearborn. This was the 3rd dealership I visited in my quest for a good quality, medium size SUV. The previous two were disappointing. I had already done two weeks of research in Consumers Report, Edmunds, and US News Automotive. So I was thrilled to see all three of my final choices were sold in one place. Now I just needed to find a salesperson who would bear with me as I compared them all. I hit the jackpot when I quickly came across Christina Baker. She is fantastic! She is knowledgeable, personable and low key; so the experience was enjoyable. She was very patient and accommodating. She answered my many questions and set me up with test drives in all my choices. Over the next few days she sent emails with well researched comparisons of the cars. We also texted to quickly clarify questions. Because of her help I was able to nail down a final choice. They located it about 200 miles away and had it by the next day. Between her and the rest of the LaFontaine team, I feel I reached a fair price for my vehicle. The night I picked it up, one of the office people told me Christina had sold five cars that day. Yet, she still made plenty of time for my wife and I to get familiar with our new purchase. You cant go wrong with this dealership and if you get Christina Baker as your salesperson, thats an added bonus.
They offer more than just Kias at this location. They sell GMC, Cadillac, Ford, Toyota, Ram, etc.. The Stinger is one of my favorites and reminds me of the Charger. Kia Soul has improved its performance and has the latest technology. The customer service was good. They are very attentive.
I went in there and I was there for about 20 minutes maybe maybe 25 and nobody was there that was collected service best at all not one person was there at strippers dance nobody was there I walked around walked around and round play with nobody was there its not customer-friendly at all to me thats my opinion

2021-05-29Went with my son to purchase his first new car. Jose his sales rep was awesome. They had a lot in common and were able to have good conversation while waiting for the paperwork to finalize. We were treated by everybody there with so much appreciation. It was such a different experience then when we bought from Tamaroff in Southfield a few years back. Even the manager in the sales department greeted us at LaFontaine. Before knowing if we were buying or not. He even got a nice car at a decent price.

2022-06-17Bait and Switch.I had a car listed for sale, LaFontaine Subaru reached out to me and after providing the cars VIN, pictures, details, etc. of the car, they made me an offer and we scheduled a time to bring them the car.After driving 45 minutes to the dealership, they informed us in person that they made a data entry error and could no longer honor their original offer. This was then followed by a second offer of less than 50% the original.Would not recommend doing any type of business with LaFontaine to anyone.

2022-08-06My fiancé called Lafontaine and was inquiring about an email that they sent him. We have negative equity in the car we currently have an he simply asked what happens in a situation where we wanted a new car. So this gentleman who answered the phone decided to just hang up because he apparently didn’t have time for “stupid questions”.Do yourself a favor and ignore the flashy commercials and go somewhere where you aren’t just an inconvenience or another dollar in their pockets.

2022-08-19These people are extremely unreliable and unprofessional. They kept my car for 2 weeks and refused to answer any calls. They gave me an all or nothing price over the phone and refused to send anything on paper. They disregarded my warranties and left me stranded to find a way to work. They lied about getting back to me, they lied about sending me a quote or what could be done on my car. These are very disappointing people. And brought my car back to the wrong location when they did decide to give it back to me. I had to wait an extra 2 hours for them to turn around.They dont deserve any business because they cant handle any.

2022-02-28If you do happen to spend your time going to LaFontaine Automotive Group, it might be in your best interest to choose a salesman other than Brennon Thompson. He isn’t very knowledgeable on the process of car sales and I should’ve known better when he asked for my insurance information and my license plate number for a plate xfer before my credit application was complete. I was never given options nor an idea of what I was working with financially (considering I’m coming out of a bankruptcy). When I started asked questions, he literally got angry and started foaming at the mouth. Instead of answering the question “can you tell me what my options are… what vehicles do I have to choose from”, he suggested that I speak with a manger. There are 1,000 vehicles in their lot and he had me wait almost AJ hour for them to bring ONE VEHICLE from Livonia to Dearborn. Literally a waste of three hours.

2021-08-27ALWAYS great service. Jim Raj and his crew always get to my service promptly, complete the service in a timely manner and always leave me with a good impression. I have had every service on my Honda done here since the day it was new. After five and a half years and almost 55k miles, I will continue to have my vehicle serviced here until it just too old to matter or I buy another Honda. Thanks to Jim and the service team!
