My wife’s first time buying a car in the US. She was treated nothing but poorly by everyone from the sales man to the finance department. They were never transparent about interest rates or loans or credit pulls. It felt like around every corner there was another unpleasant surprise that you could only find out by asking about. Every sales gimmick in the book.I really wanted this experience to be better and unfortunately it just wasn’t. I went to every car buying experience my parents ever had growing up and have bought 2 cars myself and I’ve never seen the unprofessionalism that this dealership displayed.
Had a very smooth and professional experience with Joshua Lattie while purchasing my Polestar 2 EV. Josh was extremely supportive from day 1 of my interest in this vehicle, offering a test drive immediately and walking me through the process of getting this vehicle. With the car market lately, there’s a lot of nonsense that dealerships put you through to attempt to get your business. There was none of that at LaFontaine Volvo. They were direct and prompt up to the day that I went to pick up the vehicle. The time taken to make sure the vehicle was charged on pick up day and the quick turnaround time from ordering to delivery was something I haven’t seen from dealers in the metro detroit area. Even after, following up to make sure the car was working fine for me was a nice touch. The experience along with the comfort and quality of the vehicle has me convinced that my future vehicles will be from this dealership and hopefully we can work with Josh again.
Had a really good experience buying a vehicle here, the service department is always hit and miss though. Its like the two dont communicate well because they didnt know about the protection plan that I purchased. I have had luck with certain service employees but others seem to add charges to pad the bill which is annoying.
First off its Volvo they are a premium car supplier. 2 they are not and american car supplier do I really need to say more. Well I will. They are amazing from sales to service to amenities top of the line. When you have an appointment guess what, you get right in I was able to pull my vehicle in immediately so I know its getting worked on right away. Most other places make you park outside and they will get to it as soon as they have an open bay why have an appointment if your not going to see my car at tht time? But top notch quality care concern and service. With their subscription service and the terms I know I will never get another type of car again. Wonder if they will do a Sports car hmmmmm.
My husband and I would like to Thank Kyle Wusenich for his honesty and knowledge of the vehicle we were purchasing along with his amazing patience as he waited for us to drive back from Port Huron. It was a long way for us but we’ll worth it. We also want to thank Alexa Presnell in financing, for working with us and staying past business hours on a beautiful day. We appreciate you both!!!!
I just leased a beautiful VOLVO SUV with delicious caramel colored interior, denim exterior, moonroof, etc. I made the trip out of town & traveled to this location (39 or so miles away) in Farmington Hills primarily because the Ann Arbor location did not have inventory enough to choose from online & I just hadnt had good luck with local car dealerships in the past.Service was efficient and cheerful. Salesperson Katie, was resourceful & responsive. She pointed out a company discount I was eligible for that I had no prior knowledge of.The showroom is clean simple & connected to customer waiting/lounge area complete with beverages- bottled water, expresso machine, coffee, etc. When we couldn’t get the kids to the dealershipTo test “fit” all of them in backseat, the salesperson brought the car to us at out home to allow us all to go on a second test drive- this time with the whole family in the car! They loved the rear heated seats. Overall, an easy efficient customer-focused experience with unexpected savings.Thank you Volvo of Farmington hills!
Awful. They had my car for over a week and didn’t even run diagnostics on it. However, whenever I called them they kept telling me, “we are actively working on your car right now, but we can’t find the issue.” Finally they admitted the car hadn’t even been touched yet. The cherry on top was that when I picked my car up the windshield wiper was purposely broken and they stole a gift card (that I always plant to test integrity). Never again with these clowns.
Terrible communication. Made an appointment for service, they texted that my car was done but THEY NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT IT. Cant get anyone on the phone and they dont respond to voicemails. They rudely text then simply stop responding when you ask them to actually do the work you scheduled. I have no idea whats happening with my car, if anything. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Came here for the routine 50k maintenance. My appointment was on-time, the lobby was spotless, and the service was perfect. I was surprised to get a text from my mechanic with a video link that described what was done to my vehicle. I drive by a closer dealership to get to this one and will continue to do so!
Overall the experience was a good one. However it was expensive and the car came back with low tire pressure and low washer fluid. Seems like it when you take it in for a scheduled service check to the dealer that this would be a simple thing. The video of the service was great as we saw what they were doing and had a chance to add or delete items in real time.I know this was an oversight but when asking for a review I have to be honest I was disappointed.
I purchased a used Mini Cooper for my 18yo son from LaFontaine Volvo, I went to a Mini Cooper dealer in Southfield to purchase a used Mini Cooper. The Sales person that was helping me however, nice was very suspect of my son and I. Not only did I have to show my license and my sons license to test drive the vehicle which I understood I had to show my proof of insurance and the Salesman was in the vehicle with us when we test drove the vehicle. I had been researching used Mini Coopers and I had contacted several dealer but felt very uncomfortable at that dealer. I went to LaFontaine Volvo because I had reached out regarding the Mini Cooper that I saw advertised, Kyle got back to me. My son and I walked into LaFontaine Volvo and my experience was excellent. Kyle treated us with respect and dignity, we were able to test drive the vehicle, Kyle took a picture of our license, he told us to enjoy the drive. He didnt make me feel that he was not being trusting of us test driving the Vehicle.Kyle gave us impeccable customer service and he was vey professional. I went home told my husband that I wanted to purchase the vehicle from LaFontaine because of the service we received from Kyle. The next day we went back and started the purchase process, I appreciate how inclusive we felt from Kyle to Lexi and everyone else. I will be back to purchase a Volvo for myself.
Bought a car completely over the phone from out of state and had it delivered. Worked with Kyle and Lexi who were very polite and good at their job. The transaction was very smooth. They used a great company for vehicle delivery. Everything was easy, zero complaints. Thanks!
Love the car. Hate the dealership. The pricing and condition of the used car I purchased were great, but I had to put in the work for it!! I was a cash buyer which means second rate treatment to them. I had to drive over 6 hours from another state and hope they did not sell the car because they would not accept a deposit for a cash buyer. The communication skills of my salesperson were atrocious. I even had to pay over $350 above the price because the fee charges she quoted were actually just an estimate. Really? What?😤
Overall experience was good as always. Noticed from my prior visit a week before they failed to note that I had a nail in my tire and/or which one they plugged. I requested the information and it was unavailable because it had not been documented. This was unusual and I was a little irritated. Outside of that my experience was great and I will return for my future service needs.
Recently bought a car from LaFontaine Volvo. Staff was incredible, especially Kyle Wusenich. He got my new car set up real quickly and took extra time out his his day to make sure everything was right. Extremely happy with my new car and will definitely try to work with Kyle again, when the time comes. Nice work!
Would definitely buy from here again. I recently purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle here and it was, by far, the smoothest and most positive car buying experience Ive ever had. Kyle was very friendly, helpful, and patient, there was no pressure for the available add-ons, and they have me a great deal on my trade-in. Good coffee, too.
I got into a very bad accident 2 weeks ago. I am truly lucky to be alive. My car was totaled by my insurance company. I started looking on-line at different dealerships and different cars. I was looking at Cadillacs and Lincolns. I typed in Cadillac CT 6 and found a lot of nice Cadillacs throughout the state. However ,I received a call from LaFontaine Volvo. I was hesitant at 1st because I dont believe in buying foreign cars, as I believe in supporting my AMERICAN UNION BROTHERS AND SISTERS. The sales rep informed me that they had just got in a beautiful Cadillac CT6. The sales rep stayed past closing to meet with me and let me test drive the car. I fell in Lobe with the car. I was able to purchase the car the very next day after test driving it. The customer service at LaFontaine Volvo was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! No hassle, professional, friendly, dedicated to my needs and went above and beyond to make sure i was happy and satisfied with the entire process. They had beautiful new and used cars both foreign and American. I am happy to say, I made the right choice in going to LaFontaine Volvo NO DOUBT!
The experience was pleasant. Pat worked quickly to workout the details of my trade (a Kia Telluride from another LaFontaine dealership) so I could get into my XC60. I was interested in test driving a Cadillac...they worked to get the price down so I wouldnt leave. They were successful in getting me to stay. Im happy with my new car and the experience.
This was the most painless experience buying a car. I worked with Kyle, who helped me find a car I love with flexible fiance that I can manage. He was very knowledgeable about vehicle and shown me all the features available. There was no pressure, and I will definitely return here for future purchases.
Fantastic vehicles, clean location and a very friendly staff. Josh Lattie helped my cousin and myself with some test drives today and he is extremely enthusiastic about the vehicles in the stable. Highly recommend buying from this dealership and Josh is a fantastic salesman and car enthusiast. SOLID 10/10, Thank you Josh!
I couldn’t be happier with the sales staff at LaFontaine Volvo. Kyle did everything in his power to earn my business and made sure I got the best deal possible. Very friendly and helpful throughout the process of buying my first car. I am very thankful for all their help!
Previously, I had rated the service department five stars. Recently, I attempted to rotate my tires on my own and found that the service department had mistakenly kept the key to my wheels (no one else had removed the wheels since service at LaFontaine). LaFontaine refused to take accountability for the loss and charged me for a new set of locking lugs. Not a big deal, but this was a service recovery opportunity that would have cost them little and would have benefited greatly.
I just financed a second car through La Fontaine Volvo of Farmington Hills. My first car was totaled in a huge accident and I just purchased a beautiful 2015 BMW X3 and I am absolutely inlove with it ! I received great customer service from Kyle and he was of great help to me. They have so many nice used cars and its a great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Drove my S80 home today. Great overall experience at this dealership especially my salesperson, Kyle Wusenich. From the onset of the buying process, Kyle was straightforward and honest, listening to what I wanted and needed. He didnt try to pressure me at all. If you want to buy a used Volvo, I highly recommend working with Kyle. Hell find the right vehicle for you.
The whole car buying experience was much better than what I am used to at Ford. Kyle, the salesman, was very in tune with what we wanted in a vehicle and took the time to go the extra mile. He did all he could to get us into the the right vehicle at the right price and there was no pressure or sales games. Alexa explained the paperwork thoroughly as well and it was completed accurately and quickly. The vehicle is amazing and exactly what we wanted. A very positive experience.
The people who work at this dealer are simply amazing. I am a young man and they took me seriously throughout the car buying process and Im now the proud owner of a Volvo. Everything was seamless and I had nothing but excellent service from the salesman Greg, and financier Alexa. I highly recommend shopping this dealer if youre interested in a Volvo, I was simply amazed at their communication, politeness, and courtesy. Especially compared to the half dozen other dealers I visited in my purchasing process.
Overall my experience was really good. Im giving it 4 stars because I felt the waiting area had limited seating , especially during this pandemic. There were 4 other customers waiting and it was a uncomfortable. I really liked the fact that the master Volvo mechanic Levi spent some time with me going through my car and the issues I brought it in for. Levi went above and beyond to make me feel less concerned of my car having issues and that it was a common problem Volvo is aware of. It has always been important to me to have a talk to the technician/ mechanic who worked on my vehicle before and after the work is completed.
Thanks to Kyle Wusenich I had the best experience of all time, the gentleman was well spoken, very well informed , polite and eager to serve. I chose a vehicle initially, change my mind and without any hesitation after working countless hours to get me a great deal he moved straight forward to my next ambition and gave me an even a better deal. With patience and professionalism he introduced me toThe highest standard of salesmanship I had ever experienced. The level of honesty and integrity that he showed surpassed all of my prior experiences and I am truly grateful for his time and effort. Thank you Kyle 😎
Horrible experience at this location! A few weeks ago my husband and I went in to look at an Audi A7 that was on the pre-owned lot. Unfortunately, we were told by the salesman that it had been sold (but still on the lot and online as if it were for sale). I decided to take a look at other vehicles I was interested in.. Well after test driving the xc90 and being underwhelmed, I test drove the s90 and fell in love with it. My husband and I were being helped by Greg. We informed him that we also had a vehicle we wanted to trade in. We were advised to bring in the car to be looked at. About 2 hrs later we came back with the car, a gentleman looked over it, Greg called us in the office with the offer for trade in and write up for the purchase of the vehicle. Excited and ready to move forward, Greg then insinuates that this offer was based on us getting financing through the dealership. I advised him that I already had financing in place, pre-approved. Well he goes out to speak with a gentleman and then says he would still honor the write up but had someone else looking at the car as well just ready to send them the credit application. Confused, Im not understanding what Im missing. Im pre-approved from my credit union and here hes trying to strong arm me into using in-house financing. I told him that if they could beat my current interest rates I would go with in house financing. Well after sending in some fast talking woman, who said she could find a better rate, she later came back and said she couldnt because I was registering the car out of state. Greg then comes back and says they have to do the paperwork over and they would give me a call the next morning. Still confused I agreed. Greg called me the next morning at 1030a to tell me the fast talking lady was able to find a credit union that would match my interest rates. I declined and informed him that I would use my credit union. At this point, Greg states that he had an appt to show the car that day and pretty much couldnt promise anything. I never heard anything else from Greg. I later spoke with GM, Matt, and he pretty much said they couldnt hold used cars. I thanked him ended the call. Im not sure if this is how sales go with all customers or customers of color! I came in with pre-approved financing from a local credit union, found a car i loved but because I didnt do in-house financing I was unable to be helped. Sad because LaFontaine is a very reputable dealership, my husband purchased his truck from their Toyota dealership. Needless to say, I have nothing good to say .
Bought a used vehicle from here. Kyle Wusenich went above and beyond to make me feel like family. I would definitely recommend that if you are buying a used car ask for Kyle. He will take care of you. Tom Marvaso and Kyle Wusenich stayed late on a Saturday after they closed to get my paper work done.(over an hour) Couldnt have asked for better service. Mr. Lafontaine if you read this these two guys need a raise or a bonus. I will be recommending this dealer to my friends and family.
I found the car I had been looking for online and coordinated a visit with Kyle to test drive. Kyle was very helpful and professional, guiding me through the process to complete my purchase. I would definitely recommend LaFontaine Volvo and Kyle with used car sales for your next vehicle purchase.
I’m very happy with my new car. It handles well looks great and has so many safety features installed. My experience was very positive. Greg was helpful, professional, and friendly. He made the experience easy and guided me to examine several options of financing. Volvo makes a quality car
I purchased my GMC Acadia SLT through Volvo in Farmington Hills with Kyle. Kyle was great as well as the sales supervisor, Tom, with addressing the questions I had and working with me as far as my budget was concerned. Everything was explained to me to put me at ease through the purchasing process. I would highly recommend purchasing a car through this dealership if you’re looking to buy your first vehicle or future vehicles! Thank you for your help and providing me with a great deal on the Acadia I purchased! ☺️
I recently just purchased my second Volvo. Both of my experiences with the my salesman Kyle Wusenich were exceptional. Kyle made sure I received the best possible deal and went above and beyond to make sure that I got a upgraded vehicle this time around that i absolutely love. The staff is very friendly and the dealership itself is kept immaculate. I would highly recommend anyone who is in the market for a new car to visit LaFontaine Volvo. Lastly I wanted to say that the Finance Manager Alexa Presnell took her time to give my some personal advice regarding credit and information how to make it continue to work for me. I appreciated that she was very personable with me.
Mr Frank in the service department has always operated with integrity and great hospitality whenever I needed service for my vehicle. Hes knowledgeable and enures his team performs excellent repairs or simply regular maintenance each time!! Thank you Frank for continued class!
I recently purchased a used vehicle at LaFontaine Volvo in Farmington Hills. Id visited other Volvo dealers in search of a vehicle however, considering the dealer staff and the quality of the vehicles that were shown to me; I had returned to LaFontaine to purchase the vehicle. This has been the highest level of customer service that Ive seen in a very long time. All staff members interacted during my visit which made it truly a family experience. My appreciation goes out to Kyle Wusenich for the knowledge of the vehicles he sells and to Alexa Presnell who wrapped it all up for me to make the purchase complete. This is certainly a true 5 star dealer who sets the bar here in Michigan!
I just purchased an XC40 and absolutely love it. I worked with Kyle Wusenich who was so helpful and knowledgeable. He answered my questions and helped me leave that day with my new vehicle. The whole experience was great and Lexi was also fantastic and very helpful in explaining all the details!
I’ve bought three Volvos from LaFontaine Volvo and my most recent experience was the best yet. Kyle was my sales counselor and he was super knowledgeable about the car I wanted to get. He took the time to show me all the features of my new Volvo. If you’re in the market for a new Volvo, I highly suggest you go to LaFontaine Volvo and ask for Kyle.
Had an awesome experience at LaFontaine Volvo! I had been looking around for an Audi for coming on two months and finally found a gorgeous 2018 S4 on their lot. To say the experience was easy is an understatement. Kyle at LaFontaine made it possible for the car to be mine just a few short hours after I saw the listing. The car was priced perfectly (and I did plenty of research) below market, no mountain of fees on top of the listing price other than taxes and registration like I found at many other dealerships, and Kyle was pleasant to work with! Go to LaFontaine Volvo, and request Kyle for your next car purchase!
Kyle Wusenich was very helpful making the decision to buy a Volvo. Never had such an easy transaction with buying a car. He was very knowledgeable about the features and demonstrated the driving assist.Lexi helped explained financing, deals, and patient while we picked our terms. Then Frank came out to introduce himself about the warranty and service department. What wonderful people to be apart of the Volvo family!
Just bought a 2021 S60 from LaFontaine. Greg, Pat and Lexie provided a seemless and enjoyable experience. Having driven an LR4 for 11 years, the strides in technology were a tad scary. Greg was patient and left me feeling confident as I drove away. Highly recommend this dealership. Enjoyable experience, both professionally and personally.
This car dealership is the most respectful and courteous places I’ve ever been. Specially a gentleman named frank who was opening the dealership and helped me out tremendously with a car issue I had. Just thankful that there’s still great people in this world and nice dealerships who don’t try to turn you away or over charge you for anything. Frank you are awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just bought a CPO 2017 Volvo XC60 T6 R-Design from Kyle Wusenich. He was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process - from my first phone call to inform them (it couldve been any salesperson, but it was Kyle took the call) I was on my way to check out a vehicle that I saw on their website to the moment he handed me the keys. To make the experience even better, I actually changed my mind on the vehicle that I ultimately purchased after already agreeing to buy a different one. They had the paperwork all completed and had to redo it all. But at no point did Kyle get frustrated. He was focused on making sure I was happy with my purchase. I live 45 minutes from this dealership and I would have no reservations about coming back to purchase another Volvo from Kyle in the future.
I recently had the drivers leather seat refurbished on my 2013 Volvo XC 60 that had heavy wear areas after 150000 miles. The work was completed the same day and it looks like new.....and the price for the work was very reasonable. Working with Frank Dwyer, Service Manager has always been a pleasant and successful experience.
My car just needed regular service and had a minor recall. I was able to easily make an appointment, communication was good and my service was completed timely. I did not feel at risk , works wore masks and I could see that my car had been cleaned. Prior to the COVID issue - all my service was also handled well and employees were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.
Kyle was an exceptional sales person,we were greeted as soon as we walked in,an directed to Kyles office. Kyle had the vehicle out front waiting on us,a 2013 Avalon. Kyle wasted no time getting us into the vehicle, for my test drive. Upon returning to his office Kyle had the vehicle information ready for me to read and look over. He stayed in contact with me offering to help me with trying to find the best finance rate. When we came back to pick the Avalon up,we were treated like I was buying a Brand new Volvo. The Avalon was out front warming up,radio station programed in and seat warmer on. Kyle and the team at Lafontain made my whole buying experience GREAT!!!V.H.Lewis
Diahann McGovern was extremely friendly, courteous, conscientious throughout the sign in and pick up process. The various check-ups were completed swiftly. In addition, the crew determined we needed to replace our tires, which they did quickly. We were happy with their performance.
I purchased my first Volvo 2012 XC70 out of state and took it to LaFontaine for service. They absolutely took care of my vehicle, upfront fair pricing and AMAZING service. Diahann and Frank were knowledgeable and welcomed me to the Volvo family. I will absolutely continue to bring my vehicle here.
This was my first visit to the dealer since purchasing my Volvo via a private seller in March 2020. There were questions I had regarding the operation of the vehicle that my service advisor, Lance Dillon, took his time to go over with me when my car was ready. I really appreciated him taking the time to sit in the car with me and explain some of the upgrades my 2019 XC40-R had such as Polestar and the SAE Level 2 Plus features such as park-in, park-out, pilot assist.
My buying experience with Lafontaine Volvo has beenExceptional. Patrick, Matt, Alexa and Frank are all engaging and professional at all times. I leased a 2020 XC60 and the transaction could not have been any smoother. This is my second leased XC60 with Lafontaine. I highly recommend this dealership for the quality and knowledge of what they sell.Had a software problem with my 2020 xc60. Called Frank the service manager at Lafontaine. He immediately scheduled an appointment at my convenience. I was taken promptly, Frank did a complete software update and I had my car finished and back to me in the time promised. No issues since, as always Frank and the Volvo Lafontaine service department know what they are doing and they are a pleasure to work with.Had a recall notice to tighten bolts on the windshield wipers of my 2020 XC60. Was called by Gabrielle to schedule appointment. Gabrielle was efficient and very personable, scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. She followed up with a reminder text. Frank my Volvo Service Manager was waiting for me when I pulled up into their service area. He quickly wrote me up and took my XC60 on time. Promised a quick service time of 15 minutes and delivered my car back to me as promised, washed and ready to go. Customer service area is always clean and their associates are friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you, Lafontaine Volvo!
I found out that my fuel filler door would not open on my Volvo XC-90 as I was attempting to fill my very empty tank. Around New Years - not a good situation. I called LaFontaine Volvo, explained the problem, they immediately diagnosed the issue and I was told that they had the part in stock and to bring it by at my convenience for fixing. I got there within the hour, dropped the vehicle at service and headed to the very cozy lounge for a complimentary double espresso. In less than a half hour, fully caffeinated , I was headed to the gas station. Oh, and the service was gratis. About as good as it gets!
Not bad service but no loaner and I had to have it towed twice because of a defective part.No reimbursement for their mistake and my car was at the dealership for nearly 2 weeks . Probably going to sell my Volvo and buy something I can get good service and not have to drive hours for service and be treated properly. I bought this vehicle because of the safety and fuel efficiency . Its a shame I cant get decent service and have employees be engaging and polite and not ignorant and stuck up!
Cant say enough great things about the customer service here! They really go out of their way to make sure youre happy with the work that was done. The prices are pretty on par with other Volvo dealerships. Ive found them to be very trustworthy in their assessment of what needed to be done and never have I felt pressured to have a repair completed. Highly recommend!
I took my xc90 in because my engine kept stalling out when my fuel level got below 3/4 full. I was sold a fuel pump. I get my home, and it started to stall again. I was frustrated to learn that my old fuel filter had not been changed. While installing a new filter myself, I noticed lots of black particles in the fuel. Wow, I then realized that my fuel tank had stuff clogging my fuel pump, but the service department sold me an expensive pump, knowingly that Id have to come back for an expensive tank also. My frustration is off the charts. I wont even let my family ride in the car in fear being stranded.Im so disappointed.
I had been looking for a specific color, make and model of a pre-owned vehicle for months now. I finally found the perfect Acura MDX at LaFontaine Volvo in Farmington Hills. My salesman Kyle was very patient & understanding with all my questions, and financial concerns.Thank you for working with me...I love my MDX.
I was very pleased with the service here. Courteous, professional, efficient and showed that they actually cared about my time and valued my business. It was easy to get a loaner for a few hours so that I can continue working throughout. Highly recommend this place for service.
Despite being short staffed and encountering some unexpected and unplanned difficulties, they were accommodating and worked to make things go as smoothly as possible. I’m very confident in their quality of work and the vehicle I had serviced runs like it is brand new again. The service advisor, Lance, was very good about staying in touch and keeping us updated even when things didn’t go exactly as planned due to circumstances outside of their control. I appreciated his honesty and felt like the service department went the extra mile.
As a young female buying my first new car on my own, I had hesitations about going to a dealership and being able to seal a deal on a nice 4Runner with a smooth process. However, my experience at Lafontaine was quite the opposite! I was treated with the utmost respect and was able to leave with the car that I have been wanting for a long time. Everyone was professional and polite and the process went as smoothly as it could have for a first-timer. Thank you to Tom and the rest of the staff!
La Fontaine Is an excellent place to buy a Volvo. From Matt, the GM to Greg, the sales exec and Alexi in finance, all focused on key elements of the sale. Matt to ensure I got to test drive the vehicle in these difficult times of the pandemic, Greg focused on the features of the vehicle as we test drive, and Alexi on ensuring we understood what we are signing. Great team! Highly recommended.
They did take me in a day earlier than my original appointment day .I did have to wait 2 days before Ireceived a phone call I like to see an explanation of everything that were issues with my car. That was then explained to me so thoroughly and honestly, I certainly appreciated that. Play fixed what they were able to fix and a timely fashion and that was muchly appreciated and to my satisfaction.
LaFontaine Volvo clearly understands the Volvo customer. We know what we like, have expectation of excellence, ease, low stress, and fast delivery. My second Volvo from LaFontaine and Greg Ostrowski and sixth Volvo, the experience at LaFontaine does not disappoint. I reached out to Greg he called we chatted and texted - Greg sent me his recommendation asked me to go to your website to fill out an app and set an appointment to meet that evening. The XC60 he suggested was clean and ready. I looked over the Volvo asked a couple questions and Greg took me back to sign the paperwork. Everything was ready for me a complete and done in about 20 minutes. Greg sat with me in the Volvo and pointed out some new options, did the Volvo on Call switch over, made sure to answer any final questions thanked me and let me go. The XC60 he chose is beautiful with options I wanted and some I didn’t know I wanted. Thank you folks for another amazing Volvo Owner experience.
My buying experience at Volvo was exceptional. From beginning to end, it was top rate. Kyle was great to work with and was incredibly proactive in reaching out. I was introduced to the New Car Sales Manager on my first visit. We love our new Volvo XC90. The customer service that I received at Volvo sealed the deal for us. It was measurably better than both Audi and Jaguar.
I have been taking my Volvo to LaFountaine of Farmington for a number of years and I always find their customer service to be excellent. They are considerate, thorough, and reliable. And now, after my first visit in this COVID-19 world, I was comforted to see all of the expected precautions in place including markers for proper social distancing and everyone wearing masks. I always have a positive experience.
Excellent, it was worth the distance I traveled to visit this dealership to purchase my new vehicle. Highly professional and friendly service. Pat and Frank Dwyer made it worth the distance. The service advisor, Lance worked through an issue that arose in being able to retrieve my vehicle. The concern and professional approach given by each of these individuals make it easier to continue to patronize the dealership.
My salesman is who made my experience at LaFontaine what it was. He was gracious, thoughtful, a good listener, had an upbeat personality a and went to significant lengths to try to meet my needs. He is the best salesperson I ha e encountered in all my years of leasing or buying cars.
I have brought my car to this dealership for maintenance and they have always been great to work with. I feel like I receive a fair price for the service(s) performed. They are thorough, keep the explanation succinct and arent too pushy. I really like that they give your car back to you clean, interior and exterior, and remove all the mechanic protective papers.
Service Department: Ill keep this short and to the point. I am responsible for the up keep of my nieces Volvo vehicle for school (she is out of state). Took it in for the 60,000 $490 tune up only to have that balloon to $1800 to cover the cost of a new battery, brake improvement, etc. (Items not completely unrealistic for a 2009 model) My brother in law approved the cost. Within 24 hours the car had trouble starting. I returned to the dealership to find out that it would now cost an additional $1300 to install a new starter. This would insure that she would not get stranded. The total was $3100. My brother in law approved it as this is his daughter, out of state needing reliable transportation. I find out from my father that they (this exact service department) had already installed a new battery last year. So upon the dealership being made aware of this they apologized and took it off the bill. I spoke with the manager and diplomatically shared my concerns and he was professional agreeing they had things to improve on (there were multiple other concerns I had but not worth writing about)... heres the best part: not 3 weeks later my nieces Volvo broke down late at night (really, not for dramatic effect) and she had to get it towed from a gas station.
Arrived at dealership and walked around the lot for 10 minutes and no one ever approached me. There was one customer sitting in the showroom area while a team of individuals were gathered in an office. Meetings are more important than customers. How about providing customers with a great experience for positive ratings and then you dont have to rate yourselves. If you dont appreciate your customers, someone else will.” ..
The team at Lafontaine Volvo was very professional and easy to work with. My experience buying a new vehicle from them was very smooth. The salesman I worked with, Greg O, was really knowledgeable and very responsive. Would buy another vehicle from them in the future.
My experience today at this volvo dealership was great, changed oil and regular maintenance on my 17 xc60 and David was very helpful.I also had a very good experience with the business manager lady and schmia, She was very helpful and wasnt pushing at all (wich is very frustrating at car dealerships). You will enjoy a very nice coffee as well :)
Frank the (service manager) is the best and most honest person I’ve ever dealt with!! He is a true asset to Volvo La Fontaine’s dealership! He was very helpful and he is not your usual average service person that wants to pass you over to someone else!! He MAKES THINGS RIGHT!! If you’re buying a Volvo “brand new or used” consider Frank for any questions!! He is the MAN!
Think twice before going to LaFontaine Volvo Cars of Farmington!! Will never go back! Outrageously expensive service. No concern for loyal customers. No response to dissatisfaction survey. We have 2 Volvo cars - one was purchased from this dealership. They lost our business.
The customer services is horrible, There is so much lack of communication. I was previously told that it would take approximately 2 hours to fix my vehicle, so I was prepared to wait. Only to be told that it would take almost 4 hrs. There was no loaner available. A new date was set. I was told someone would meet me at my job at 9:00am. I call the dealership at 10:00 and was told that the person who is coming had to drop someone else off. The person who answered the phone never apologize for the inconvenience. It appears your primary focus may be on selling cars, but if your customer service is horrible no one would want to come back and purchase a vehicle. The dealership business is plentiful and great customer service has NOT lost its Value!!!!!!
I have to say, I wasnt sure what to expect when I rolled into the new LaFontaine Volvo that was transplanted from Walled Lake (formerly Dwyer and Sons) to the new Farmington Hills location. Brand new experience. I had no expectations going in.The service was outstanding. Not only did they get me in for an oil change promptly (I called less than two hours before), but Brian Mecham was awesome. They performed the service promptly while I waited and also ran a check of my radiator/coolant which had given me a critical alert the same day. Given my last Volvo had three faulty radiators, this freaked me out and they did a full test and told me all was clear with no leaks. Great. They also did a magnificent job cleaning my vehicle. I was not expecting it! Usually, a dealer runs your through their gas station style wash and thats plenty (and always appreciated). These guys had two people scrubbing my tires, vacuuming the inside and using specialized products on certain areas of the car.I asked if they recommended a certain kind of solvent given the lower left side of my car must have gone over some fresh wet paint on the road. Brian, himself, got a cleaner, scrubbed the entire left side of my car with it, buffed it with an electronic buffer and gave it back to me like new. Just an awesome guy -- as well as the two other workers who were doing it before. Totally above and beyond what I ever would have asked for or expected. These guys are not near to me, but I will seek them out again for service.
Maybe I got the best price on the vehicle I wanted but absolutely have not received the level of service after the deal that I would expect. Starting to feel like I bought a lemon and they dont want to touch it. I bought a car with a bumper that was just pasted on, and fell off immediately and they keep just pasting it back on like it wont just fall off in 5 minutes. Now my safety-priority car is telling me that the airbags arent working and they tell my wife and kids to drive 30 miles across town to fix it. Dismissive, rude and unaccommodating, if that is the family they believe in count me out.
Taking delivery of a new car during our time of quarantine in Michigan is a strange experience. LaFontaine and especially my salesman Pat Dwyer made it easy and fun.In fact is was so good I may always do it this way.Pat is a remarkably knowledgeable and efficient man. Everything went smoothly and easily from start to finish.
The customer service experience at this dealership is flawless. They go out of their way to find you the exact vehicle you want; from order to delivery the communication process is exceptional. We will continue to refer and recommend this dealership to our friends and family; we will also continue to purchase our vehicles here.
Matt and Greg were such a great help to my wife and I. We purchased a 2020 xc90 and couldn’t be happier with the suv but more importantly the service we received. It was more of a educational experience than an actual transaction, which we greatly appreciated. These guys will guide you on what your best options are and you will feel like you’ve known them for years. I highly recommend them to anyone considering a Volvo!!
Exceptional Service in time. I always have any repairs and service performed there. My car always comes out as brand new after each service. They dont skimp on complimentary services either. They always recommend and perform necessary services. They never give recommendations for repairs that car doesnt need and take money that way. 5/5
Was not at all pleased with the service here. I came here to test drive a vehicle they had in inventory at the time and I didn’t end up liking the vehicle as much as the appearance so my salesman sat me down and inquired on what I was looking for. He even had me speak with their financing manager who said they would be soon “partnering” with a bank she knew would get me approved for a vehicle. The salesman took my Information to run a credit check and they told me they would get back to me within a week. NEVER heard back from the salesman nor financing manager but end up receiving call weeks after I filled out the credit application asking if I was still in the market for a car. Returned the call and left a voicemail and STILL NO RESPONSE from anybody! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service! Why would I want to buy any vehicle from you guys when you can’t even reach out to people as promised? How is ANYBODY suppose to take you guys seriously if you don’t follow up? So now I have a credit inquiry sitting on my credit report from a dealer that didn’t even attempt to help nor follow up to make a potential sale! Wouldn’t come back to this dealership if it was the last one standing in Michigan!
Its hard to say these days that a business can meet the expectations of exceptional customer service. The service and sales professionals at LaFontaine Volvo did exactly that yesterday - they left me speechless (ask my husband and hell tell you its an impossible feat :) ). Yesterday I walked in needing a part replaced (windshield wiper fluid pump and a daylight running lamp/high beam), Joe walked me into the parts department, made sure the parts were available, and then had them installed. When they were finishing up and double checking they realized another part was actually the problem, not the pump. They put back in the original pump and replaced the smaller part. The fact they double checked their work stands out. All of this without an appointment scheduled!!! Thank you! Were new to Michigan and getting someone to work on my 2006 XC90 that we would trust as much as the previous team we had back in Oregon was something we felt would not happen; we were wrong. Thank you to these gentlemen for allowing us to breathe a little easier knowing our elderly car will be well taken care until we are ready to lay her to rest :)Even though I was there for service only, Kyle made sure as a new customer any questions pertaining to the dealership and what they could offer was answered.Looking forward, it is easy to see where Ill be taking my car for ongoing service and maintenance - yes, the 1 hour 45 minute drive will be well worth it!
Great experience picking up my vehicle and I love it! Kim Harbaugh was very helpful throughout, not only delivery of vehicle, but with showing and explaining to me all the technical aspects of the vehicle. I would recommend for anyone looking into getting a new vehicle, ask for Kim.
Coming from a family that only drives luxury cars. If I could give this dealership a 0 star rating, I genuinely would. It all started with our sales rep who did a terrible job getting us setup on our car. We were supposed to have a trial for the Volvo app which allows us to start the car, etc. We ended up getting a Brand New XC-60 and within 5 months, the car is already having issues. We called in to get a loaner vehicle and this dealership wouldnt offer us one at all. I then called Suburban Volvo and they were more than accommodating and even offered to set up our Volvo app for us, like our sales rep should have done. Honestly, for the price we are paying on this car, Id rather spend the extra money and get a BMW X3. The techs are 100x more knowledgeable and have a so called Genius that teaches you everything about the car... Not just a sales guy that read the pamphlet. We will never get another Volvo again.UPDATE 5/30/2018Still never contacted by dealership to get our app setup for us like it should have been. I would truly suggest a different dealership. Not worth the hassle to deal with these people. If you are looking into a Volvo, id suggest going for something else instead.
This dealership is pathetic in terms of customer service. Went there to test drive a new S60 and discuss lease options. Was genuinely interested in leasing one but they assigned me some new female salesperson who was not even aware of what are specs of car, whatever questions I asked she replied with a word maybe .... Manager was very unfriendly, he seemed least interested in letting me go for a test drive asked me for my lease budget.... I gave him an approximate amount for which instead of saying he can discuss it further directly told me all cars are too expensive for me!! Are you serious? Is this how you treat your customers? I went to mercedes and they didnt even ask about my budget but let me see car first followed by test drive..... pathetic service.
My husband was going to trade his truck in for a new truck and we dealt with Gus. It was a terrible experience. He was telling us one thing and changed it to another. He was so rude and kept accusing us of looking at him like he was a thief because we were asking questions to things he was saying but it wasn’t making sense. That was his conscious getting to him I guess. Thankfully we were able to cancel the sale. We had a bad feeling and we stuck with our gut feeling and I’m glad we did. Terrible customer service. Luckily we went somewhere else and got a great deal. I wouldn’t recommend working with him 👎🏻
I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with LaFontaine Automotive Group. We worked with Ted Kress, salesman, and Kris Chambers, the used car sales manager, at their Volvo dealership in Farmington Hills to come to an agreement on purchasing a used car. We called on Saturday morning at 10:30am, were assured that the car was still available and agreed on a price on an Infinity G37 which we had recently test driven. We clearly communicated our agreement to purchase ithe vehicle and that we would be driving the two hours from our home that day to the dealership to pick up the car. We immediately went to our bank, had a cashier’s check cut for the agreed price of the vehicle and then headed up I-75 to pick up the car, again a two hour drive as we live south of Toledo. Over halfway there, we received a call telling us that they had just sold the car that Kris Chambers had sold us over the phone two hours earlier. I thought he was kidding at first as it was incredible that any business, especially a Volvo dealership, would demonstrate such a lack of integrity with their customers. However, this is apparently common practice at this dealership as evidenced by reviews I’ve since read online. In hindsight, we may well have dodged a bullet as customer reviews also included comments about seriouly poor customer service after the sale, particularly with used cars, and shoddy “reconditioning work” which was Mr. Chambers’ chief sales pitch. This group does not appear to conduct business honorably with its customers.
Great people, great service, great facilities. LaFontaine Volvo is everything a dealership should be, and they make the Volvo ownership experience simply effortless and luxurious. Hats off to them for their exemplary COVID-19 health and safety practices -- they make their customers feel safe!
They were incredibly responsive when I was inquiring about the vehicle, and then as soon as the initial purchase had been made, there was radio silence. They refused to answer my calls or emails for WEEKS when I was trying to inquire about follow-up documents. They even forgot to send me my licence plate and so I was forced to purchase a new one in order to drive my car legally (their temp expired way before theyd realized theyd forgotten - maybe it would have helped to pick up my calls?)As I type this, I am STILL waiting for them to return my calls about refunding me for the plate I paid for and didnt get. A disaster.
The service department has been FANTASTIC!The staff is courteous, professional, and COMPETENT. I drive 75 miles one-way to have my S40 and my daughters S40 lovingly cared for and will continue to do so. And there is one more very important comment that must be said: Amber you are the BEST!!
Stacy came to our house to deliver our new vehicle. She was a great person to work with and was very patient in showing us the features on the vehicle. We were very impressed with the entire staff from Farmington Hills and found that they were able to provide us with the assistance that we needed.
Stacy was an exceptional sales consultant - can honestly say weve never had a better car-buying experience. Drove out of our way to make our purchase from Stacy after shopping several other dealers. None came close in terms of service, knowledge or friendly personal attention. Couldnt be happier with my new Volvo as well as Stacy and the friendly team at LaFontaine.
Sold me a used vehicle. Put an unrealistic amount of pressure on me to buy it or Id lose it, did not honor the closing agreements we made, and then lied about the repairs they said theyd make and let me drive away in an unsafe car. After almost getting in an accident and taking the car to a mechanic, it became apparent the repairs promised had not been done. I went back to see about a solution, but they seem to not have the time to resolve this matter or even call me back to touch base (as they said they would). As a member of one of the leading and most successful service industries internationally, customer service, honesty, integrity, and product quality are very important, and the sales team and LaFontaine was beyond inadequate. Again, not just poor service, but dishonest, immoral and unsafe. All the initial kindness is an act. It is highly recommended, and to your advantage, to shop for your car elsewhere.
Greg, Matt, and Frank made certain our car buying experience was exceptional. They truly went above and beyond what was required. We have been buying our vehicles from the Dwyers for a decade. After the Dwyers sold to Lafontaine, we were hesitant we would have the same personal experience. However, Lafontaine Volvo provided the same great service we are accustomed to from the Dwyers and Volvo. Thank you again, you have earned our continued loyalty.
I am so disappointed with the service that I have gotten at La Fontaine Farmington. We thought that we had found a nice dealership and were intent on returning after our purchasing experience. About a month into owning my pre-owned vehicle the service light went on, initially the salesman I had worked with responded to my emails and then disappeared. I took my car into a dealership locally and they found two issues, in their opinion the crack they found in the cap of my engine had not just happened, because the mechanic saw a finger swipe across the crack where someone had noticed the leak but ignored. I turned to the Sales Manager and he returned my calls unlike anyone else. We finally negotiated that LF would help with the costs of the repair- like I said, I had only owned the car a month when it started to have problems and I am not a far driver. At this point its been almost three weeks, I have called three times and not been able to get a hold of the Service Manager to schedule the work. I have left two voicemails and am again leaving voicemails for the Sales Manager, who will hopefully call me back as he was the only one who did before.I am so disappointed in my experience, I feel ignored and taken advantage of, and I know you get more bees with honey than vinegar. I am 6 months pregnant, working full time, and I find time to make calls to get my car fixed- this is their job and they cant even make time to call me back.
Brian and Kevin were a pleasure to work with. They looked over a vehicle that I had purchased at a different dealership and pointed out some potential issues. They resolved the issues under warranty with no questions asked, and were very knowledgeable about their vehicles. Levi, a service tech, was also very friendly and took the time to explain everything to me. I have found a dealership to stick with, couldnt be happier!
Very professional, as always, and - with appointment - very fast service. It wouldve been great if I got help with the electrical problem - but I guess it wouldve been very time consuming and expensive - thats why it was ignored. You would think the dealer would know what the problem is right away.
I was completely satisfied with my trade in and purchase experience at LaFontaine Volvo. Ryan (Sales) and Agron (Finance) did an outstanding job, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth and efficient transaction. I will consider them first for my future vehicle needs.
Service manager, Frank Dwyer, and all of service team promise parts will be in a defined date and parts never are ready by promise date. They do not bother to call you with updates, when you call in they give you the run around. Worst dealership for service I have seen.
The dealership did not fix the problem, instead they wanted to blame it on the Bluetooth on our cell phones. We keep getting random incoming call on the cars system. When I explained to the service person that it has happen to my wife while she was in the car by herself and she has never turned her Bluetooth on her phone so it was not connecting to her phone when the call came in from the car. The service person would not even listen to what I was saying and just stated that they did not find a problem with the phone being connected the car and could not replicate the issue therefore it must be because our phones were not updated to the latest software on the phones. This is also not true as I keep my phone updated on all software levels at all time. So I took the car back and made sure my Bluetooth was disabled on my phone. The next morning when I was driving the car I got another random call on the cars system so clearly has nothing to do with our phones and Bluetooth.I also requested that the dealership put the Diamond Fussion windshield protection on which they did not do.Finally, they are supposed to vacuum and wash the car which they did not do either. At this time, I will be looking for another Volvo dealership that cares about the customer and listed to what the actual problem is so it can be fixed.
I had a bad experience with the service department of this dealership. I asked them to diagnose why my blower was intermittently not working and to repair the problem. They replaced the blower and charged me $1340.00.The blower only worked for one day. I returned the car with the blower not operating. Over the next two weeks I was told it worked fine for the technician. They asked me to pick up the car again and once again it only worked for one day. I returned the car again and this time asked to wait for the technician to verify that the blower was inoperable. I was then told that the repair would be treated as a warranty claim under the first repair that I paid for. This time they kept the car for just over two weeks. When they called me to tell me the car was done, I was told the problem was the blower resister. I was told there would be no labor charge but I had to pay $135.00 for the part. An hour later when I picked up the car, I was charged $171.00 for the part. I paid the bill and left because I was in a hurry to get to my next appointment. Upon leaving I noticed a loud rattle coming from the dashboard. If I hadnt been in a hurry I would have turned around and brought the car back.Later that day I read through the repair order I had been given. The service writer claimed that he had spoken to me and that I had agreed to pay for the parts and that I approved a parts expenditure of up to $180.00. That is NOT true. I wasnt asked to approve anything. I was simply told the car was ready and that I had to pay another $135.00 for the part. By the way, I looked up the part online. It can be purchased any number of places for $62.00 to $82.00.I called the service manager to notify him of my disappointment with my experience. He promptly returned my call and said he would investigate. Later that day he called again and offered me a $36.00 credit (which I have not received and do not believe is adequate). He also offered to repair the dashboard rattle and provide me with a rental.I have decided not to accept his offer. I will not put my car in the hands of this service department again. I do not believe the technician has sufficient skill. I question the character of the service writer for putting false statements in the dealerships business records.
This is my third Volvo. I have consistently found the sales and service to be outstanding. The staff is friendly and genuinely wants to assist the customer. Questions are answered in a timely and informative manner. I would recommend the dealership without any qualification or hesitation.
My wife Kristen and I recently leased a new XC90 vehichle at your dealership and had the pleasure to work with Jhin Hur. We test drove five different vehicles (four from competitor companies) before choosing the XC90. I am writing you to let you know that Kristen and I were very impressed with Jhins sales style, knowledge/expertise, and effort throughout our car buying experience.Jhins sales style was perfect- he was friendly and not pushy. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us find us the right vehicle and quickly asked pertinent questions to understand what we were looking for. When asked about strengths and weaknesses of different vehicles, he was open and honest. We told him we were interested in test driving other competitor vehicles and he was in support of that (which was refreshing to see as he wanted to make sure we were making the right decision).Jhins knowledge/expertise when it came to the XC90 was impressive. He answered all our questions and had great knowledge on all of the XC90s features and how to use/activate them in the vehicle. He did a good job following up in emails (preferred communication route) that were both detailed and concise when additional questions were asked after our initial visit.Jhins effort was also commendable. Once the purchase was made and we were pressed for time as my wife had to work in the late afternoon, Jhin took the initiative without being asked to transfer our baby car seat and license plate while we were finishing up paperwork. He then personally drove to our house later that evening to pick up the title we had forgotten to bring and further explain how to use and integrate some of the features on the vehicle (he set up our garage door openers through the vehicle, set up an app on our phone to access the vehicle, etc.).In conclusion, we want to thank you and your team for a terrific car leasing experience and believe Jhin Hur is a true asset to your company.
Service used to be great. USED TO BE. I got into an accident a while back and asked if they could look at it and my sure the insides were okay. They refused. The mechanic said it was too much “debris” after I made it all the way out there. Anytime they actually do follow trough with the routine diognostic the service man has $1000 to quote me on minor repairs that should take a few minutes along with s mediocre explication of the issue. My front links in my sway bar were/still are loose. I was quoted $350+ and told it would take 1.5 hours. I myself hsve experience installing sway bars and it takes me 57 seconds, but to give Home the Bennifit of the doubt it should take at max 10 minuets since this is already a full vehicle. It’s also always very disconcerting to see mechanics or employees in general enjoying refreshments in the guest lobby while I wait for my car. In conclusion I find it comical that after all that they send a text and email warning you about the upcoming serval like they won’t get exposed.
Since taking my car in for service on the 15th for my 70k miles service where all systems are supposed to be checked, spark plugs changed, etc... my car is lagging in acceleration, there’s a loud sounding belt noise and now my check engine light is on. Worst $350 I’ve spent.
Very professional. I had just finished a 9 hour drive from VA the day before Thanksgiving and they fit me in immediately so I wouldnt be without a vehicle while on vacation. Ive always heard that dealerships are much more expensive than other mechanics but they were very reasonable. Thanks LaFontaine Volvo!
Blatant disregard for travelers or people who actually work for a living, at least when it comes to used car sales. I can’t believe they let an RS4 leave with brakes in such horrible condition. And while assuring me that very thing is “fine and within spec” the sales manager made it a point to let me know “ well I just can’t put any money in it” I can’t believe I was charged sooo much to “recondition” the 2 year old car I dropped off (with 2,00 miles on it mind you) and then now after a month I’m doing their leg work with the title office, after magically making it 250 miles home on the most disgusting brake rotors I’ve ever seen in 7 years of servicing Audi’s. This establishment’s practices on used car sales is repulsive and greedy. Especially if you’re from out of state.
I purchased a new Volvo V60 from Jhin of LaFontaine Volvo. His manager Matt Griffith and Agron G. also assisted with the transaction. The entire process was simple and easy, with me having to just seek and send some information. My trade in vehicle was fairly valued, which I had serviced there prior.Overall, I would highly recommend anyone in the market for a new or used Volvo to consider reaching out to Jhin at LaFontaine Volvo.
This was my second time coming to Lafontaine for regular maintenance of my C30. The first time was back in November, and to my surprise the staff remembered me when I arrived. The staff were uniformly friendly and kept me up to date as I waited for the results of the scheduled maintenance inspection. The complimentary coffee and wifi helped pass the time, and the waiting area was very comfortable.I really cant say enough nice things about both of my experiences at Lafontaine. Its a bit of a hike from Grosse Pointe, but its absolutely worth it.
Very rude and felt uncomfortable there. I was very interested in volvo but now I much rather go elsewhere. Only one person was plesant, the person doing the financing. I would not give them my money if it was the last car dealership on this earth I would rather walk.

2022-05-05In short- the best service ever! Not only was Josh a great sales rep while leasing my first Volvo, but he even took car of me months later when I got a flat. The LaFontaine team took care of everything- from getting my car towed, fixed, and valeted back to me, all within 72 hours and me living an hour away from the dealer. Amazing service, great people!

2022-06-30I bought a Certified by Volvo S60 that was previously owned by Enterprise, and ultimately I still had to pay to fix my broken A/C, my faulty sunroof, my mismatched tires, my missing weatherstripping, my missing trunk liner clips, and instead of a certified by Volvo S60, I got a certified by LaFontaine S60 and the only good thing I have to say about my experience is that the weather was niceEdit: Matter of fact. The Fusion Red metallic S60 in their photos with the bow on the hood is the EXACT one that I purchased

2022-01-14Went in for a Polestar 2, but had to deal with Volvo LaFontaine sales. Shady sales tactics by the reps will try to get you in a more expensive vehicle, as theyll claim the one youve built and priced was just sold, no matter what configuration you specify. This was later verified when I declined the more expensive car as the rep followed up with we refunded the deposit of the other guy for you because he was being too difficult yet the vehicle did not match my spec anyway (not once did I ask for a trailer hitch). Further shady tactics include rushing you in to securing insurance days before delivery and prior to confirmation of credit.Reps will also tell you to text them, but claim your messages are disappearing for some reason when you follow up on a no-reply. The messages were miraculously found after the order was placed. I was also dismissed from the reps office when trying to talk numbers, as the rep was too distracted to work, claiming their friends dads angry and wants to talk. Incredibly unprofessional. For whatever reason, discussions with Volvo Financial Services would only happen between 4:30PM and 6:00PM leading to delays and a 3 day credit review process.Visa holders beware, they will take loads of sensitive information from you even with a good US credit score. Youll be told they dont see issues with lease approvals and pressured to finalize a sale, but may get denied anyway. I will be monitoring my credit and identity for the foreseeable future as documents they requested are not in anyones possession outside of the US government.Horrible experience, cannot recommend in good conscience.

2022-01-13The team made my purchase super simple. I was greeted right away. Kyle was AMAZING, very knowledgeable about his recommendations. It was such a pleasure, service was top notch. I think Im stuck buying Volvos due to the service alone.

2022-05-03Went in for a wheel alignment after having some new tires installed, but the car was returned to me with a severe off-center steering angle. Didnt truly register until I got on M10 and had to constantly adjust my steering inputs to avoid sideswiping other cars or hitting the walls.I called the same day to tell them the car was nearly undrivable, was informed that there was no one available till Monday afternoon, so I would have to drive with the issue over the weekend. After having the steering adjusted, I told them I wanted to speak with the manager about compensation due to them releasing an unsafe car to a customer. Was informed that he wasnt available that day, but he would be asked to contact me. I gave them over a week, but never got a phone call. Instead, I got a survey to review them on Google Maps, which I was going to update to reflect this experience.Had another issue on a separate occasion. The pilot assist function on my Volvo was pulling heavily to the left and crossing over the road lines during a drive down to Florida on I75. Happened in both clear day time and raining night scenarios. I informed service of this, thinking the system required a reset. I was instead told its not like Tesla auto pilot, and its just a basic cruise control. Instead of talking note of my observation and either getting the technician to reset the system, or passing on customer feedback to Volvo that there are some glitches which require addressing, he was instead condescending. Customer feedback is how auto makers discover issues with their vehicles. The job of service centers is to inform manufacturers of possible problems, especially dangerous ones. The only reason I would give this dealership a star is because the head technician here is absolutely excellent at his job. Hes worked on my car before and everything he has done comes back properly corrected. Unfortunately he isnt always available to work on every vehicle, as was the case for my alignment. They are free to contact me via email and rectify this problem, or I will make a formal complaint to Volvo corporate. I want to see if they are capable of following these instructions. I will not respond to replies on this review from them.

2022-04-01My wife and I recently purchased a used car at Lafontaine Volvo. We received friendly and professional treatment from everyone we dealt with. Our salesman Kyle and his manager Tom went out of their way to accommodate us, and we believe we got a good deal on the car. Business manager Lexi closed the deal, pleasantly explaining all the paperwork. We rolled out happy, Thanks!

2022-03-29Both times I had my car here for maintenance took over 2 weeks. Granted the work done seems alright and is under warranty I was frustrated with the customer service and how slow the process seemed. After my last visit I’m not sure if they washed my car with sandpaper and now I have a rear light that just stays on whenever I lock the car so I decided to post photos. As you can see my hood was scratched up as well

2022-06-26Tried selling me a car (2011 Subaru Legacy) which looks perfectly fine but when I took it to mechanic we found out that heating seats were not working and other tons of fault codes in multiple ECU’s, sales guy was very confident that heated seats are working as per his service manager and to my surprise heating module was not even communicating, so I don’t know how he was heating it!!! He says since we were testing it on hot day it was not heating, which sounds funny and weird at the same time. Lots of electrical issues with the vehicle. Before buying any used car from this delayed do take it to a good mechanic for a review.

2022-02-16Dealership/buying experience:1. Polestar is clearing going for price transparency, however the price given on website build + price did not match final paperwork at dealer (more expensive by 10-15%).2. The dealer has a max credit card purchase limit that is low considering they are taking down payments on vehicles. I was not made aware of this. Lucky I had a debit card on me but this is really inconvenient.3. The signing/ pick up process was very long. Took about 5hrs. I arrived at the scheduled and the salesmen was not ready, so I had to wait 20-30mins and no one even greeted me. Not expected from a high end dealership. When doing the final paperwork, the finance associate printed the wrong paperwork, so I had to sign document twice.Polestar Experience:1. The polestar with base rims+tire package comes with summer tires. This seems unacceptable for a high end vehicle to come with cheap summer tires (specially in the middle of Michigan winter). The car is $50k+ and the expectation is to immediately go buy $1k new tires? The salesmen said he had a customer get into an accident because they were unable to stop effectively in winter driving contortions.2. The tech in the Polestar is definitely subpar for the market. The range estimation is unclear and confusing (gives multiple range estimates in differently locations). The app works about 50% of the time, and will often require you to re-sign in and link the vehicle.3. The car comes with two keys. One is a traditional key fob the other is a valet key that has a hard wired battery. The salesmen stated it was $400 to replace the valet key if the battery dies and recommends not using it. So whats the point?
