During a difficult time the team at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home were able to provide the support and services that were needed. We appreciate all they did.
I have been here 4 times in 2 years. I have been treated with up most respect. The decor is light and airy with big windows so you dont feel like your suffocating. The staff is and was wonderful to me and all my family and friends. Kimberly is so nice and sincerely sweet. I love their yellow room its was exactly what I was looking for and the cost was exactly what she told me it was going to be at the funeral home. There is a difference between a quote and exact pricing...there are so many things you can add on to make the day personal and beautiful. The outdoor space is a wonderful addition to the home. So you can step away for a moment for some fresh air or just catch your breath. The coffee & snack room is a perfect space it has room to sit, eat and talk its a larger room for multiple people. We also had lots of room for food that was sent and there is a small kitchen so helpful. Even though there is nothing easy about loosing your children they definalty made it an easy worry free day for me, my husband, my family and friends.
I visited a multiple of funeral homes before choosing Lee-Ellena Funeral Home to provide a warm inviting atmosphere to tend to my wifes remains. The building and grounds make you believe your entering a resort not a funeral home. The staff treats you like family, very sympathetic to your loss and they go out of their way to make your brief stay as comfortable as possible. I would give them 6 stars or more if I could. My family and friends made multiple comments on what a nicefacility they have. Bottom line is their great, very professional, would nothesitate to use them again.
What can I say? During a very difficult time for my family and I, Tara and the rest of the employees were extremely compassionate, thoughtful and caring. Tara followed up on all of our requests and never seemed bothered by my bothering. The funeral home and the individual rooms are beautiful and calming. The nice ladies I spoke to the night of the service were very nice as well. Thank you, Tara for taking care of me and my family during my mothers services.I love you Mom
First, if youre looking for funeral homes, Im very sorry for your families loss. Ive lost two people very close to me in a short time and both funerals were held here. They do an amazing job of making this your home for a day or two. The layout is unlike any funeral home Ive been to. Its warm, welcoming and comfortable. They have a kids rooms, kitchen and several patios as well as very tidy bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and the funeral director did an amazing job of writing my fathers obituary (I think his name was Josh) as well as walking us through the process. You can give them pictures and they display them throughout the funeral home on many TVs as a slideshow. The kitchen is great and can seat quite a few people comfortably. The best thing I can say is that if youre looking for a place to hold your loved ones funeral, you can stop, this is the place you want.
My family and I were blown away by this facility. It provided comfort, space, and professionalism during a difficult time. As a mother of young children who needed to be with us for a long day, I was surprised and relieved to find the kids room near the center of the building. There were couches, toys, books, coloring supplies, and a TV with DVDs. We are just driving away from Great-Grandmas wake and my daughter cried because we werent going back to the funeral home 😊The hospitality area with coffee, water, and ice was very well equipped and we were able to bring in food and have space away for a few moments.The outdoor areas were another very nice addition. There were 2 large patio areas with nice, comfortable furniture. There were large grassy areas behind them where my kids could run around and get some energy out.To sum up, my husband and I were able to grieve with, catch up with, and just share time with his family in a spacious and comfortable environment with friendly staff without our kids breaking down. We are very grateful!
Lee-Ellena Funeral Home did wonderful work for my mothers funeral. They gave fabulous attention to every detail and were always helpful for any issues that arose. Lee-Ellena has a fabulous staff who expertly helped me plan everything from the obituary, photos, visitation and service. Joshua and Trista (and all of the other people working behind the scenes) are true professionals who helped me tremendously during this most difficult time. My family first utilized Lee-Ellena Funeral Home 4 years ago for my fathers funeral and we were very impressed at the services at that time. They continued to provide excellent service through to my mothers funeral.
We arranged a service for my father and then my mother at Lee-Ellena. On both occasions, the staff was gracious, compassionate, and accommodating. The facilities were immaculate and welcoming. During those difficult and sad times, the staff made the process as comfortable and reassuring as possible. I highly recommend Lee-Ellena to anyone.
Everyone at Lee-Ellena was very gracious and helpful in planning my mother-in-laws funeral. The layout is not like a traditional funeral home, it is truly like being at home. As family and friends came to visit, they gathered in the visitation room, dining room and outdoor patio. Our family would highly recommend Lee-Ellena for funeral arrangements.
Sarah and her staff at Lee-Ellena were gracious, courteous and kind as they guided us through a very difficult time. Our family wanted a non-traditional set-up for my husband. There was no casket or urn. As we positioned different conversation areas, the staff helped at every move of every piece of furniture. With over 400 people trying to visit our family in a short period of time, the staff helped all those waiting to be comfortable. The atmosphere at Lee-Ellena is that more of a home and less of a place of sadness. We were very pleased with every step of our grief process and have suggested their location to others.
I had no idea that I would be writing a Funeral Home review this week.As one of my lifelong buddies since 1964, well his daddy passed away & the viewing was here.When Lee-Elena Funeral Home , opened around 2008 , I read all of the articles in the Macomb Daily of how it was built with the guests/clients/families in mind.I also saw countless advertisements as well ,proclaiming the same.Well I was very impressed!!I mean this as a very sincere compliment,it reminded me of the Capital Grill.Inviting foyer, generous hallways, multiple gathering rooms with overstuffed chairs & couches. The cafe/gathering space where you can set up food/desserts/snacks/ beverages.The Fireplace & the viewing rooms all seemed like an Uncles Lodge Up North.Plus 2-3 outdoor patios, childrens rooms 2 chapels & state-of-the-art wireless, audio and video technologyHeather was the greeter on staff & provided excellent service/skills that reflected a concierge.I came home tonight,and told the bride, I think I found my final resting place.Love that the owners set out with a vision, captured & exceeded it!

Was at Lee-Ellena a few weeks back. The funeral home itself was modern and comfortable. I liked large coffee/food room for the family and that it felt like you were not inside a funeral home.
The place is absolutely beautiful. Staff is great. They make difficult decisions easy. I never had to manage a funeral b4. I so recommend this place! Best in our area by far. I used the kitchen for food for the visitors...the staff was so helpful we used lots of the provided amenities. I was worried about costs but they were very very reasonable for what we received.
The funeral home is beautiful and from perspective they are very professional. I have been to several viewings. I know the people cant feel if they are uncomfortable. But they look uncomfortable they seem the upper bodies are sunk in the casket.
I would give this funeral home zero stars if I could. We contacted this home prior to my fathers passing in regards to pricing, and then when the time came and my father passed no one answered the phone even after an hour of trying to contact them. I will never recommend this funeral home to anyone.
Very unorganized, lack of communication between reception staff and directors. We talked with Sara over the phone after she had waited all day to call us back, she was very rude and unprofessional. There were many passive aggressive comments made by her after it was clear we were not going to utilize them after how long it took for them to contact us back.Avoid, Im sure the facilities are nice but when you have to deal with someone so unprofessional and disinterested in running a business properly youre going to have a bad time on top of a already hard situation.
They did a wonderful job, we could not ask for anything more. They told us it was our house for the day. It truly was an wonderful celebration of our Dads life. Thanks!
We were there today for a service. Plans have been made since Monday. When we got there at 5:30, the lot was still not plowed. They have known it was going to snow, yet had no one plow? I fell and someone was stuck trying to get out on to Romeo Plank. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
Was quoted one price over the phone, and then heaped charges on us when my family got there to plan the funeral. Just be honest on the phone and we wouldnt be angry. Liars will steal!!!!!
Everyone was impressed. Beautiful facility that made everyone feel comfortable and the experience as good as it could possibly be. Tara was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Attended a visitation there a while back...they were rude, not organized and I was treated like I was intruding.
The best of everything at the worst of times. That is what Lee Ellena provides. We have used them now 5 times and I will say this is my choice every time this situation arises.

From the moment we arrived Kimberly made sure that every detail was well planned and executed. The dignity our daughter was afforded was truly a blessing and gave us a sense of comfort.

2021-04-17I can only say amazing things about this funeral home and the director Kimberly. My husband lost both of his parents within one month of each other so we had been working with Kimberly quite a bit. She is one of the most compassionate, peaceful, warm hearted person that I have ever met. She did everything that she could to make this whole painful process stress free. The venue is beautiful and since I had 2 little ones they had a kids room for them to spend time in as well. Thank you all for making this experience so easy.

2021-03-10We wanted something different for our sons funeral. So many funeral homes have small, dark rooms and are very stuffy. With COVID, we felt a more open and airy place would be safer. We were really unsure of having a funeral during this time but Lee-Ellena assured us that precautions were being taken and everyone should be safe. Lee-Ellena Funeral Home is a beautiful place, very serene and peaceful, it was just what we needed during this difficult time. Working with Tara was so easy, she handled things in a very calming way and was so accommodating with anything we needed. The rest of the staff was also very helpful but you almost didnt know they were around, they gave us our privacy. I would highly recommend Lee-Ellena Funeral Home for your loved ones funeral.

Kimberly at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home made the entire experience so easy. Kimberlys compassion and hard work to make sure every detail happened without a problem was awesome. The Funeral home itself had every comfort of a home and you felt like you were at home. I cant say enough about the outstanding Job Kimberly, Tom, Helen and the other staff did for our Family. 2021-09-30This funeral home was great. The people there are amazing. And the facility did not feel like most funeral homes. One of the directors, Kim, was awesome from the start. She quoted me a price, and when I eventually signed the bill, the price didnt change a dollar. Highly recommend this place.

2021-10-26How does one explain finding out you really had a new family and didn’t know it? Kimberly, Ashley, Bob and Sue turned out to be our new family during this sad time. Their kindness, sympathy and a hand on our shoulders when my family and I really needed it was so deeply appreciated. They went beyond everything we had asked for Ned. We will always remember them in our hearts.
