Comment: Great for the kids, but their kiosk check-in, and only one person to help was a pain. And a $35 a day resort fee at a resort is just baloney. Wasnt what I paid for staying at the resort the resort fee?

Comment: Clearly some people like this place; but I am afraid that my experience so far resonates with the negative reviews I’ve read.Close to $2k for the stay, in a would-be-fine-for-$100 room, and they try to tack on additional “resort” fees and self-parking fees. And for what? For lego models in a safe? Except we’re here with three kids excited to complete the scavenger hunt only to find only two models at the end. Apparently that’s the “policy.”Booking our stay at the LEGOLAND hotel seems to have been a true financial mistake. I only hope that the actual park in the morning isn’t as big a disappointment. I expect it would be a lot easier to enjoy if we had just paid the regular park entry fees and stayed somewhere else. As-is, the hotel has started our highly-anticipated vacation with disappointment, frustration, and regret.

Comment: Not only is there, nobody picking up after the kids like employees to make sure theres no balloons. Where they could choke on it because we have little kids here running around But they wont let us into the park because one I dont have shoes. Were not doing going to lego land were going to water park very unprofessional I dont think Ill be buying season passes for lego land again, considering I cant even go into the park and take my children to go play in the water Apparently I need shoes over the water part. What? How am I supposed to get in the water when I have my steve maddened shoes doesnt make any sense I dont think Ill be purchasing any sandals. Or anything else for my children here? Because of the fact that Ive got nothing but problems with this hotel. The restaurants its ridiculous

Comment: Overall good experience. We had our 2nd stay at this hotel last week in the early June. We loved being a very short walk from the Legoland entrance. The pirate fully-themed room is fun and nicely decorated. The room itself had a few minor things that were in disrepair. Overall it was good, but the Air Conditioning barely worked! Sometimes it was working just fine (and when it did, it was very quiet, which was a bonus), but there was a night when it never really kicked on.The Briks restaurant is just okay, and we only ate there for the convenience. You really need to make a reservation in advance, unless you want to sit outside (and it was a bit cold when we were there). We checked out several days ago, and we never got a request to complete a survey, or an opportunity to provide feedback. We would obviously mention the Air Conditioning issue as a notable inconvenience. The hotel should have followed up after our stay, but I guess they dont want or need any feedback?Shout-out to the young man named Talon outside the lobby who was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He gave us some great restaurant tips for the area, and had exceptional customer service skills.

Comment: Not very hospitable for being in the hospitality industry. Staff seem unhappy and management is more worried about bureaucracy and red tape than satisfied guests. We won Mr Gold certificate at check in which earns a free night stay. It could not be applied to existing nights but the front desk offered to extend my stay. Unfortunately we couldn’t because we have to leave as scheduled. I tried to use it for a second room to give my family more space and the front desk was willing just like they were willing to extend my stay initially but their manager said no because it’s in blackout period and wouldn’t flex even though there’s plenty of rooms available. Mr gold was made out to be a big deal but there’s blackout dates every month for most days. It’s rare, special and unusable.Edit: throughout today I’ve asked 3 different front desk staff, all of whom were willing to honor the Mr gold certificate for a free night, the last one telling me they make exceptions to blackout dates all the time, but then after speaking to the manager she came back and said no. None of these times did the manager ever come out to tell me no directly, hiding behind their front desk staff that was more than willing to accommodate, but for some reason the manager wouldn’t consider it, even though the old dirty hotel has tons of occupancy. They also lost a car seat after texting me they received it via overnight shipping. It took me 3 visits to front desk and 2 hours of our vacation time to recover it.

Comment: Convince my husband to book this Legoland resort package for first time and we’re all excited to celebrate Mother’s Day and Son’s 3rd birthday.First, checked in into a room thats dirty after a long walk is completely unacceptable, had a dinner came back to the hotel - birthday package was delivered to the wrong room instead. The $100 resort fee+ parking fee - so unreasonable; stop the hidden charges. Day 1, really a lot of attractions are closed and not available.Brick Buffet almost rate 1 to zero star- poor and tasteless .. gladly there’s salad and veggies to survive after a long day.Lastly, customer service is so “lacking” for a place you’re setting “high expectation” and called “resort”. This is important so people would come back. Breakfast staff need to be more engaging not to just standing during breakfast hours to wait for dirty plates - ask us how’s our food tasking? Do we need anything.? Unfortunately, i didnt get “Castle Experience” Sadly, i am local and will not recommend local and tourist to stay here.

Comment: We LOVE Legoland hotels. We live about an hour away but stay for Birthdays, even mine (grandmother). This time we sprung for the suite! 3 adults and 5yo x2, 3 yo x1. Cost shared among 3.Arrived Friday afternoon, played in lobby until room ready, about 30 minutes. Since we had been there before grandson hosted his friends. Showed them where to jump for farming sound. Had dance party in elevator!Immediately started looking for clues to open the safe. First night they got Lego dogs. Next night, set that could make 3 types of black and white animals. We made panda. Went to castle for dinner. Kids played in the lobby first. Then played hours at playground! Back to room, kids finally found their room. Note: seems TV choices are different on TV in kids area.Next day 830 breakfast. Great! Than early admission to Dino land. Fun day at Legoland. Took pizzas from park back for supper. Kids played, adults rested. Sunday similar start. Opened and closed Legoland.Already planned visit for an October stay.Cant wait to visit Legoland for parade this summer. Please note we have season pass.

Comment: Traveling from British Columbia Canada. I was probably expecting more than I should have. The staff doesnt seem very interested in being there. The lego knowledge was pretty sad by staff as well. The rides were definitely kid friendly. Not much for older or adults. The outdoor lego builds are showing some serious age. Lots of sun and weather damage. Lots of places closed. Food was very expensive for what you got! Disappointed 😞

Comment: The best part of the hotel is the staff - super helpful, very friendly, happy to explain anything.Biggest frustration was that they don’t staff enough lifeguards for the pool! They had to limit the pool to half the normal capacity and we waited for an hour - we only got 30 min of pool time before our dinner reservation. Our room was… tiny. We paid for the “upgrade” which did have fun decor and the convenience of the location (the patio literally walks out to the LegoLand gates). The restaurants are crazy expensive (to be expected) and you MUST make a reservation ahead of time if you’re going Thurs-Sun.People let their kids scream in the hallways past 9pm, which is disappointing if you have small children sleeping. The rooms aren’t soundproofed AT ALL. So you can hear everything going on.

Comment: No Stars! You pay way above 2 grand for a suite, with only one restroom in a room for 6 people. They charge you for parking as well. Why should you pay for parking your vehicle at a hotel youre staying? Its ridiculous! The room suites are extremely small and if youre going to pay all this money might as well stay at a huge suite with more than 1 restroom in Carlsbad. Never staying here again!

Comment: Great hotel and huge focus on the kids. A bit of a trek down the hall depending on your themed room. The restaurants are ok but were a bit over priced for the food. The pool is the best part for the kids. While the hours are limited, only 7pm while we were there, they have lifeguards and so you can relax without worrying about your kids.

Comment: I will add my own two cents that coincide with many others. It is a very outdated hotel. Rooms look dirty, floors smell bad, guests and their kids (not all) don’t clean up after themselves and leave trash everywhere. The buffet options were limited and people were just all around nasty. So many people were sick and I’m almost positive we will be now too. I say this because of all the shared toys and everything around. Beware for littles. The hotel representatives I came across were very nice. Being steps away from the park was very cool. For a first time experience it was cool getting to see it all. But we definitely don’t see us booking here again. Take it how you want. But I agree with many across the board about the overall cleanliness. Not worth the hefty bill to stay here.

Comment: It used to be better! Now it’s just an old hotel that smells bad too. Recommend staying at the new hotel, as the facilities and amenities are MUCH nicer at the new hotel. At Legoland Hotel the carpet is disgusting, throughout rooms and corridors, the shower head is rusted, hair around and in the tub …. and the hotel cafeteria/buffet is really one star. Huge lines even though everyone has timely reservations, but when getting there at 7:30am you will see 75 people in line, with reservations too, which will add another 30-45 min to wait. Save the money or go to new hotel. Maybe a nicer breakfast place too.

Comment: - Literally next to the park.- Expensive but so worth it for the children.- Lots of activities for children- Rooms are decorated with lego models, with bunk beds and games. Heaven for children that are fans of lego.- There is a treasure chest in the room that you can participate in a treasure hunt and get lego models as a prize. Treasure hunt is not hard to do at all- Buffet is decent enough.- Obvious that the room is geared toward the children and I really appreciate it. For example, the toilet seats are doubled, so there is a children size on top of the regular one.- They provide 2 bottles of water and 2 boxes of juice for the children.

Comment: We had a fun experience staying at the Legoland hotel. You cant beat the location, only steps away from the park. The hotel provided a huge amount of entertainment for the kids and families. Our kids had non-stop fun playing with Legos, playing in the pirate ship, exploring the hotel, and visiting with characters. Its definitely worth a stay to get the whole experience.

Comment: I was disappointed in my stay at the legoland hotel. We went for my 8yr old son’s birthday weekend that just passed and I ordered the birthday package . We were hoping to get to the hotel and have his banner up before getting to the room and surprising him that’s why I got the package and front desk said they could make that happen . Unfortunately that did not happen I called front desk when we got to the room at 4ish and they said it would get there shortly they did not come to the room until 10 minutes before 7. At that point it wasn’t even a surprise anymore they just hung it up in front of us and handed us his bag with his stuff. Very basic the way they did it not worth the money I paid for. Also paid for the dinner as well and the buffet was a mess everywhere. I enjoyed the Castle hotel a few years back that’s why we decided to come again. But this hotel was disappointing.

Comment: We booked a room at the hotel thinking it was the castle hotel but it was the classic which was fine as we were told we can enjoy the amenities in both hotels. When we checked in we found out the castle hotel was closed for renovations which was pretty annoying! I thought they should’ve disclosed that ahead of time. Other than that the rooms were ok the kids definitely loved them! We enjoyed 1 night getaway overall

Comment: We loved our stay at the legoland hotel. location was super convenient, lots of hidden surprises around the hotel. The elevators were also a surprise and great every time. The restaurants required a reservation, but I booked breakfast everyday the first day we arrived so there wasnt an issue there. We tried both the bricks and castle restaurants for dinner both were good. Everywhere is a dance party, and the staff did events every night from bingo to dancing to story telling. It was a wonderful experience for both adults and kids alike. We ended up using valet parking because it was easy. All the models throughout the hotel were amazing. The pirate ship play area was perfect to spend time in before the park opened. Our kids completed the scavenger hunt the very first night and the pool is heated! but only open till 7.

Comment: Overall 4.3/5SUPER FUN FOR KIDDOS !!I took my son and my niece whom are both 3 years old and they had so much fun. There’s a good amount of activities for them. There’s a giant pirate ship with Lego pits, a treasure hunt with a prize waiting in your hotel room, characters walking around (we met two different characters for a one night stay). The characters are super friendly and engaging with the kids. A huge shout out to them because they dont just stand around and wave. The hot dog Lego character actually played and danced with the kids that were playing by the ship. During evening hours, they have a dance party from 6:30-9pm, staff members will play games with the kids, there’s storytelling, and they hand out lanyards, legos, and candy.Right by the pirate ship there’s Minis Lounge. There’s comfy seating for parents and snacks, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. George was working at the lounge and he was incredibly helpful. Shout out to him for great customer service!4/5 for the hotel rooms, they could be cleaner. The pillows kinda smelled funky and there was trash that hadn’t been taken out. I did appreciate how child friendly they are. Next to the bunk beds are night lights. Inside the restroom they have an added smaller toilet seat for toddlers, and there’s a step stool.4/5 for the food, a lot of it was a hit and miss. The pizza inside the park is pretty delicious, however the hotel pizza is bland. Steer clear of the fish tacos from the Skyline restaurant, they’re absolutely terrible! The corn tortillas were not warmed and the chips tasted stale! So gross! The Chicken tenders were dry and tasted ok. Breakfast was decent, and they had a good amount of options.I gave 4 stars for service because around 9pm after the shops and restaurants had closed, I went down to the reception counter to ask if they had any snack vending machines cause it seems like they only have soda machines, but there was no one at the desk. I stood there for a few minutes but no one showed so I just went back to my room and had to tell my kiddo there were no snack.Overall a great stay for children.

Comment: Update: If your reading the reviews about the kid that thinks this is the best hotel they have ever been too. You may need to travel more with your kid.You do not have to be a guest here to walk right in an use the amenities. Which makes it crowded…The cost for what you get is meh. There are other places nearby with more.If you stay on the 3rd floor (the end away from the entrance). Expect loud humming sounds from the something on the roof. Not sure if it’s the AC or the generators. But it was so bad we had to ask to switch rooms at 1am because we couldn’t sleep. They manager was nice enough to switch us as we did stay during their non busy months. But the male manager the next day just brushed us off. We weren’t looking for free stuff. We wanted to understand why in a hotel that was practically empty we were placed at the furthest room possible and why the noise was so great. While the Lego pits are a cool idea. It’s basically walking on legos with no where to sit an build. The game room is small an not worth the cost. The pool doesn’t have a hot tub, fire pit, enough legos for all kids to play with, chairs. But they have enough lifeguards. It’s cold. An the pool hours are lame. When the park closes at 630 an the pool closes at 7. How is that enough time for family’s to enjoy the hotel. It should be open till 10pm.The castle hotel doesn’t have as cool of a indoor play area. They do have a slide. However they have an outdoor play area an a movie section. But you can venture between both hotels. The castle hotels entertainment runs longer then the Lego hotel.Brunch is chaotic because there is so many people. Because ppl from both hotels are here. Which you are required to make a reservation for to eat at a specific time. Which for a vacation with a little kid. You know a time schedule isn’t always possible. The rooms all change slightly based on price. We didn’t care for a theme much an picked a basic room. Which even then didn’t come with the things listed on the website. When we had to change rooms at 1am. We were baffled an confused by the odd things they upgraded. We suddenly had a child seat attached to the toilet. Which should have been in the room we had prior too. The soaps were nicer quality. Yes the soaps. It was little things you wouldn’t notice if you stayed here often but switching rooms we were so confused about why they would treat basic rooms like well basic over soap an towels an cleaning. Our first room was beyond dusty.I can recommend doing this once. Do it on a weekday when it’s not as busy. Stay maybe when it’s not raining to get full access to everything. Aka the pool closed at 7. So by the time you leave the park an eat. Your kids never see the pool. Stay 2/3 days. An best time do it when your kids are about 5. As to make sure they can enjoy all the rides in the park.Overall staff was pretty great. Minus the one male manager who rolls his sleeves an then younger girl in the gift shop who looked like she hated life. Also do not expect your room to be ready early. For a hotel with a 11am check out an a 4pm check in.Best part is the disco ball in the elevator…I said what I said lol.

Comment: We loved our stay at the legoland hotel much more than expected. The themed rooms were great and the treasure hunt was much more generous than expected. The highlight for sure was the disco, Brendan was an absolute legend and having the banana and hotdog stop by and dance as great. The only disappointment was the pool. Having a mandatory life vest requirement is completely ridiculous. My daughter is 5 and can swim and was told she couldnt enter the pool without a life vest. Even with an adult. There were SIX lifeguards on duty. This is madness and should be dropped.

Comment: We are currently staying here and so far it’s been a horrible experience. My son is turning 6 and we ordered the birthday package, but they then asked for another $200 deposit on top of the $600 we already paid (security deposit, birthday package, and resort fee was supposedly already included in that) for a regular room for ONE night. The room isn’t anything great. The birthday package was just a small child’s blanket and a sign on the door. Our room wasn’t ready until after 4:30pm. Our luggage took forever to arrive to our room, we ended up going downstairs to fetch it ourselves. The employees are all high school aged kids who don’t know how to run or manage a hotel. This whole trip has unfortunately just been a hassle. I’m sadly excited to just go back home.

Comment: Great experience, however there is ONE major issue that almost makes it impossible to recommend. Rooms are wonderfully themed, lots of care from the workers. Clean and thoughtful amenities. However, if you are not an outdoorsy camping person you (and your kids) will be absolutely miserable on the beds. The first time we went they were manageable, however our stay at ‘The Castle’ has been our worst experience ever sleeping on mattresses and pillows. Weird lumpy pillows, and a bed that is hard and uncomfortable. Tried sleeping in one of the extra bunk beds for the kids and it’s even worse than the main adult bed!If you’re a ‘conk out and sleep’ person, or you’re super into camping (I.e you and your family are used to sleeping on rough terrain) you guys may do well, but for everyone else, if you actually want to use the for it’s main purpose - sleeping- I would seriously consider going elsewhere. A shame because everything else is wonderful.

Comment: This hotel is definitely showing its age and could use a makeover. The Castle Hotel provided a better overall experience but the activities at the Legoland California Hotel offered more for kids of the 7 to 10 year old range. The rooms were just okay, not nearly as nice as the Legoland Castle Hotel. The pool is small and is certainly showing its age. The one saving grace for this hotel was Christian at the front desk. He was super helpful, knowledgeable and kind. He definitely made our stay more enjoyable and he gave our kids pointers on how everything worked and how to go about trading Lego characters. He also hooked them up with two characters to trade with since they didnt know to bring any from home. The trading turned out to be one of our kids favorite activities and we ended up buying a few more character bags for $4.99/each so they had more options to trade.

Customer service was great and the activities for kids in the hotel is worth it. Even just little details in the rooms that make the trip that much easier and more fun for the kids makes all the difference. I would definitely come back here again for a future trip.

Comment: This hotel is incredibly overpriced for the quality. The rooms were old, poorly lit, and musty (see below for more detail). They rarely had hotel staff at the front desk. There was no one to give us information upon our arrival, specifically about the treasure hunt. Once I obtained the code for the treasure hunt, the Legos in the rom safe were not age appropriate, despite having given the ages of each child prior to arrival. I wasnt able to change them out until our second day there, when there was actually staff at the front desk. The breakfast buffet was chaotic and overbooked. Legoland itself was fun. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you plan to visit Legoland. I suggest staying offsite.

Comment: Not kid friendly would never return. wont recommend. there is a rave below my room (Im a reasonable 37 year old with 2 young kids) my walls were shaking till 9pm and they didnt say anything in warning just offered me a move after it started. by which time I had unpacked and gotten my kids in bed. huge hassle to move them and they didnt care at all. sure its a hotel for kids buuut they only care about entertainment not your hotel stay. garbage.

Comment: Each floor has a different theme. Ours was Adventure themed. Beautiful wallpaper everywhere Lego figures hanging from the ceiling & walls. Spiders, scorpions. Treasures. They also have a treasure hunt. There are about 5 clues pertaining to areas in the lobby area. I you win you use the combination to open the treasure chest inside your room. Each child gets a small Lego set to take home. Book your visit & have. Theres plenty to do so I would get passes for 3 days. That gives you some rest time in between. Have fun!!

Comment: Your electronics will get stolen from your room (a supposed controlled environment) during your visit. A police report has been filed. For the sake of this review, I am not going to spell out every detail, but I do want to warn other costumers/families of this safety incident. This is our first time staying at the Legoland Hotel as we usually stay at the Castle hotel (never had any issues at the castle). We booked a two night/three day stay (we are members) at over $600 a night. While we stayed, I was very naive and left our electronics in the room on the tables, nightstand and dresser (computers, phones, Nintendo Switch (2 of them). etc, thinking that since this was a controlled and safe environment, and since only my family and room service had access, that our items would be safe.Upon checking out we realized my sons Nintendo switch was missing. The Nintendo switch never left the room after we checked in, and the last time my son used it was the night we checked in. We immediately notified Legoland and followed their procedures on lost items, and I made every effort to provide all screen shots/continue communication.Thankfully, I had all parental controls turned on so that all activities were traceable through the app on my phone. What we realized upon investigation was that the switch was stolen on the second day on our trip - one day before we checked out - and have the screen shots of all of the efforts the individuals went though to disable pins/security settings, play time, etc. All of these screen shots and information were provided to the Legoland hotel management. The Legoland hotel management responded that their security team would investigate. Their investigation revealed that the only individuals that entered the room during our stay was ROOM SERVICE TO CLEAN TO THE ROOM. However, they could not be seen readily walking out of the room with the Nintendo switch in their hands - they only had the cleaning carts. RIGHT. YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS.I have filed a police report, and the police advised to get the information to have Legoland file an insurance claim with their insurance to get my Nintendo/money back- Legoland wont respond to messages saying that their security team is speaking to police - however, police says investigation is closed, and Legoland hotel is now responsible to continue conversations and efforts to resolve the issue. I am looking into consumer complaints I can file and corporate information to ensure I get my money back from getting my items STOLEN FROM MY ROOM WHILE STILL A GUEST AT THE LEGOLAND HOTEL.

Comment: This hotel is 100% for the kids. The space is awesome for young children. Bells, whistles, noise, color and legos everywhere. It is a whir of activity all while offering nice service. If youre looking for relaxing, posh 5 star kind of vibe - this is not it. If you want a space thats fun, clean, well maintained and that your children will have a blast in - this is it. I will say I was pleasantly surprised at the overall level of cleanliness with so many kids running around.Lots of fun little surprises (elevator, dance party, arcade, bunk bed/tv/legos in room, etc). Restaurants are understandably family orientated and somewhat limited in menu choices and serenity but we came here for our 5 year olds and they loved it all.Valet and baggage service was great. Separate entrance to the park was beneficial. Staff seemed always around to answer questions. We came not knowing what to expect and now will definitely come back.

Comment: Clean room. Check-in was confusing and slow. Id expected my room to be available at 4pm as Id gotten so many messages about checking in online. It was 30 past 4 when our room became ready. I was not impressed - especially I picked the Legoland Hotel over Westin at the back of the Park.Front desk team at check-in seemed to be very overwhelmed and stressed most of the time. There was a good 5 minutes with no one manning the check-in counters and guests trying to check-in.However, valet team is energetic, smiley and helpful. King, the gentleman that helped us from valet, went above and beyond - my kids wanted their stuffies they had left in our rental car and King offered to bring them up to the room having just run our bags up the 3rd floor. It saved their moods, and mine. He also remembered us the next morning when we dropped our bags at the front. The arcade was small - anticlimatic. The kids dance party was lots of fun though. The room was fun but I will pick Westin for my next visit solely because of the chaos at check-in.

Comment: Highly recommend this hotel for your Legoland visit! We stayed in a Friends themed room, and the kids especially loved the separate bunk bed space for them. Start off with a treasure hunt that provides the code to the kids safe in the room, which contains Legos for the kids to keep. There are also additional Legos for them to play with in the room. We always bring games on trips, but they were not needed here, as the kids were entertained by the Legos alone. Be sure to make dining reservations for every meal, and spring for the buffet at Bricks. We found that to be the best food around. All kids under 48 inches are required to wear life jackets in the hotel pool, even if they are great swimmers. We had one upset by that rule, so we didnt spend much time at the pool. (That rule does not apply to most of the Legoland Waterpark.) Kids should pick up a lanyard and a couple buttons when checking in. They can get more buttons around the Legoland amusement park to add to their lanyard. Mini figure trading is also available at the hotel.

Comment: I stayed in the adventure room and the buddy room. The shower water pressure of the adventure room is desperate. The decoration of adventure is basically Lego bugs. When I woke up opened my eyes, I saw Lego spider and snakes. In the buddy room, it’s better but still 1 Lego bug on the bathroom door. The water pressure is still worse. For $799 and $899, the walkway from front desk to elevator smells really bad maybe because of the restrooms. I stayed at the buddy room the closet to the 1st floor elevator, totally could not sleep well because people talked and laughed while waiting elevator. Totally nightmare. The room amenities and furniture are old and outdated. Just like Quality Inn. Only the decoration can justify the high price (which it actually can’t )

Comment: This was my first time and it was a great experience for myself and my family. We went on a Friday for an overnight trip and stayed in the Lego Hotel. The wait to check in was under 10m. Im going to speak only about the hotel suite because the rest of the park is fantastic. We had a two bedroom that accommodated 5ppl (2 kids, 3 adults) just fine. My personal preference was I would have liked a door separating the king bedroom space from the living room space that contained a pull out bed. Instead it was an open concept. Oh yeah another thing, I wish the room was brighter. Lastly, the kids loved it. We enjoyed our stay 🤗.

Comment: The rooms are ok; I guess they make it up with the decoration. My kid certainly liked his stay, and that is what matters. They have lots of activities for kids and great people. FYI- There is something that may be a problem for certain people, which is that they allow male employees to dress as females—So, depending on where your values are, it may be okay or not for you.

Comment: Beware! Dont stay here. Zero benefit and it costs a fortune. Stay at the Sheraton or Westin nearby for a MUCH better experience. This place cost the same as the RITZ CARLTON and it was like a motel 6 with fancy wallpaper. I thought that by staying at Legoland it would streamline our experience. Nope. The whole experience has been terrible, from check-in throughout. Just go to the park for the day and you can have a good time. The hotel is a ripoff! If you book your room and pay for early check in, and early check out, they do not honor it. We were informed at 6:00 AM the day of our arrival that early check-in would not be honored. We are from 2,000 miles away and had everything scheduled. 4:00 PM is WAY too late for a check-in time. We were then informed, the next day after WE inquired, that they would also not honor our late check out. How uncool. This is a huge inconvenience for people that have little kids that need to take naps. The staff was totally careless about our needs and basically told us to pound sand. Also, valet parking is $50 per day for hotel guests. $30 for self parking. Really? $750 per night and you charge me for parking? The hotel is built like a cheap roadway inn and you better have a top floor or you are going to hear stomping upstairs all night. Our suite had a parking lot view. Dusty air vents, bad lighting (dim), old small dated TVs, really unimpressive.Hotel guests dont get speedy access to the park. Basically the same security and entrance line as everybody else. If you pay extra for Reserve N Ride in advance you still have to wait in another line and register. You must download a separate app and pull your phone out everytime you want to use it and can only reserve one ride at a time and still have to wait for a 25 minute countdown timer to use it.All suites are located right next to the elevator also. So you hear everybody coming and going all day and night.Pool times were inconsistent. For example they told us that our pool may or may not be open tomorrow depending on staff.Breakfast is included, but dinner was $130 for 4. Nothing spectacular.I strongly recommend saving huge money and going somewhere else because the only thing this hotel gives you is Lego wallpaper.

Comment: So this hotel is a kids dream. The rooms are decorated in super fun themes, but as the parent, I couldnt help but notice some of the run-down features of the rooms. Our room had burned out lights and lots of stains/dust. Everyone we did encounter was friendly and aimed to please, but finding someone could be a challenge. Also, we rented a suite and they only gave us 3 towels for our family of 5. Its also loud and crowded here and full of hyped up kids and exhausted parents. The bar does have delicious drinks, however, which was a perk. The pool is also nice but gets crowded. Its nice for a night but we were over it after one day and even our kids (9, 10, and 12) were ready to go.

Comment: As we tried to work with our kids to make reservations, we discovered they are in the Castle and we are not. Also their room was 1/2 the price of ours as we used the phone number on the web page- a 3rd party . Seems they have some hefty carrying and sur charges for lousy service that is not apparently in the USA. I feel you have taken advantage of people that want to use tried and true resources. Your conditions are unacceptable and unreasonable. You will not even allow for COVID victims or someone that may get seriously I’ll! It is not like the property is over booked, but definitely over priced! Members of our family are seasonal ticket holders. I will definitely tell them of our experiences and recommend they not renew. If you can make this right in less than 5 days it will help, but we will not be buying very many Legos as planned! I sure hope the park lives up to its name, so I can add another star later.

Comment: We stayed there three nights and four days at Legoland California hotel. We had a great time my son loved the hotel more than the park. He enjoyed the scavenger hunt that has a vault in the room and gets refilled every day. He loved collecting the pop gadgets that you can ask for at the reception desk and at different stores at the park. We also got the birthday package which is worth the prize in my opinion especially the free refill cup at any of the hotel restaurants. It also has the Lego figurines that they can begin trading with. Moreover, with the key card you can enjoy both hotel activities. We did the movie show, magic show and playground at the Castle hotel and enjoyed the dance party and pool at California hotel. Also a full buffet breakfast at Castle hotel you just need to make sure to get the reservations before hand and tell them you are from California hotel.

Comment: It took toooooooo long to get us a room. We waited more than 2 hours while others arrived and immediately got a room but allegedly no room were ready. Some employees treat blacks a little differently, I observed this a few times. The hotel lobby and common area isnt clean and in need of a lot of minor repair, staircase stinks and the carpet throughout the entire establishment is Nasty...Nasty..Nasty... The castle hotel is much much much cleaner and I was greeted with a fresh clean scent soon as I walked through the doors, Talon was freaking amazing and so was Jeremy, they are rockstars. Those two young men were attentive, kind and patient with my girls. They were happy and glad to work there. Sophia the server in the cafe was also nice and attentive. They went the extra mile automatically. The Sunday hostess team at the bricks (buffet) were not friendly and appeared to be irritated. They didnt speak and just demanded how many and that was the case for the person who escorted us to our table. Maybe, Talon and Jeremy should conduct a custom service class.

The family Ninjago sweet was fun and from the online pics appeared bigger than it was but the kids loved the legos and wall paper details so that was great. I can’t complain my king size bed was cozy and they certainly spared no expense on the parents behalf and I liked how the bunks had neat duvets and blankets that looked ninjago like and even in the bathroom some ninjago stars ✨ 🥷… I thought we’d be in and out more often but we weren’t but it was nice to crash nightly there post the park and know the pool and movies and food were all close by.Loved visiting the castle pool our heater down but can use either pool and the meet and greet visits were good. Also best hotel brunch we’ve ever had. Comment: Our first time staying at the LEGOLAND Hotel and it was great! We were greeted at our room with a kind personalized note from Karina Rangel. Two days later it was my husband’s birthday and Maria V. left us a “happy birthday” note. Hospitality was so great to us! When we first arrived we had only 2 of the Lego toy sets and 2 of the kids juices. When the girls mentioned above saw we had 3 kids, the Lego toys and the juices were accommodated to 3 instead, without us asking! They have an ey for detail!!The best part was when we call reception to ask for a microwave, they brought us one to our room!!Also, there are so much activities within the hotel for kids to have fun. Comment: Staff are friendly, but the room Im staying in is extremely dusty. My son woke up with itchy hands. He had an allergic reaction from bug bites he woke up to. I notified the front desk immediately. They did nothing in the morning shift. Medic was supposed to meet us at bricks because we had set up reservations for breakfast. No one showed up. We ended up leaving since I had to go find him some ointment. I requested for my room to be cleaned. Apparently morning staff did not address the issue. So i had to bring my complaint to afternoon shift. They came out but information was not delivered properly. Took 3 times to get the bunk room dusted properly and vacuum. I am still staying here and my baby son, starts coughing and sneezing, and runny eyes. I called in management offered to change rooms but really didnt follow through because Id figure that room may be worse judging by the room I am in now was super dusty. Coming in the room, there is no visible dust. After I check under the bunk beds, there was dust caked on. I started looking behind other furniture and it was just as dusty. I have been dealing with this all day. I hope this gets someones attention because I have not gotten the proper response or solution to the issues i am having. I thought getting a medic involved would.

The Lego and adventure details were so fun! They have thought of everything to make your stay as kid friendly (and parent happy) as possible! Our family of 6 fit great in the larger room. There were triple bunk beds in a semi separate kids room and room for our toddlers travel crib. From the treasure hunt with the Lego filled safe, to the disco/dance party in the elevator our kids had a blast! We ate breakfast at the hotel, lunch in the park and drove to local favorites nearby for dinner. My favorite part of staying in the Legoland CA hotel was that we were steps away from the Legoland theme park! Comment: There needs to be better management training at this hotel. The customer facing employees are not informed about rates, promotions, fine print, etc. I had to speak to at least 4 people on the phone and in-person to get the correct rates applied. Even at check out a hotel credit actually added extra cost to by bill. Had I not checked it, it would’ve been an extra $100 in wrong charges. There’s only ONE check-in/out desk open during busy hours. There were lines every time I had to go down to fix billing issues. Enough for me to feel bad and ask if there should be another backup person working.Just a disaster. I blame the management. Felt bad for the people having to face a unhappy customer while the manager is hiding in the back office, feeding them wrong information.

Comment: We recently visited this place a few weeks ago. It was ok. The atmosphere is cool and very Lego themed but definitely a bit chaotic with all the guests in the lobby. The staff was great the whole time. We stayed in a friends themed room and although cute, it definitely couldve used some TLC. It was so dark in the room. There are only two lights on the main bed area and the bulbs were super dim. Drawers/ clothes space was very limited for the amount of people that stay in the room. The cabinets were a bit worn, paint job in the bathroom was sloppy, towels were very rough but aplenty. Just small aspects could have been better for the price. Food at the skyline was really good but they have limited seating and only open weekends. The Bricks restaurant wasnt great at all but really the only other option. Its buffet style and the same selection every day. It just wasnt great food and the selection for kids was pretty standard but still gross. My kids wouldnt even eat the pizza. We got by but disappointed for a resort food experience. The pool also closes early and you have to go to the other hotel which is a pain. No laundry service here either. Given the price, Im still not sure what exactly we are paying for outside of the proximity to the park and early access. But keep in mind that early access to the park only includes about four rides that are actually open early. It was a fun, interesting experience but we will not be back. It would be to stay off-site next time with a pool thats actually open after the park closes and better food options nearby. The best part of the resort was the staff. But there needs to be a lot more improvements in my eyes to justify the prices.

When we arrived at the room there was a birthday banner on the door, his bunk bed had a birthday blanket, stuffed bear, tote bag with mini figures, pillow case, $20 gift card, and one free ride pass. The rooms and packages can be a bit expensive but watching your kids being so engaged and having so much fun its well worth it. Oh, and the rooms come with complimentary breakfast for every one. Water Park - the hotel will give you pool towels to take to the water park, drop them off in the blue bins at the exit gate. Bring semi hard sandals, legos end up in random places on the carpet, nothing like going to step on the whoop or cushion by the elevators to get a hard 6 brick in the heel.

Comment: My family and I loved. There are plenty of rooms and beds for everyone. Kids loved the bunker beds and treasure hunt. The rooms are exactly as the pictures from the website but when you are there looks even better! We ride the elevator so many times just to enjoy the little disco. What a wonderful idea! The breakfast buffet is very good, very tasty and great service. I was scared of big lines in the morning because the hotel was full but no wait time, whe are a family of 8 and they take us inside in a minute. The coffe shop and bar offer a variety of drink and snaks for the whole family, you can drink while washing your kids playing in the big indoor playroom. Big thank you to the whole team!

Comment: Poor food, service, and room quality.Ive never paid so much for a hotel $2000+ and its been as poor as this one. Im very upset! I upgraded our room, hoping for more space for my family of 6. The fan in the bathroom doesnt work, the lights are all dim (maybe the theme of the room Dark hole?) There isnt even a light above the adults bed...just two lil night lights on each side..same in the childrens bunk room. We have a desk with a mirror, without a light..what work can you do in the dark? Cant open a window because, oh guess what, its cloudy and raining. Im stuck here for two days, cant go to legoland its mostly closed, have to hang with the kids in our dark hole themed room.Go and get over priced Legos to keep the kids busy and oh, you cant see to build them or find parts that may have came off. I paid $200 to eat the buffet the hotel offers only so my kids could tell me how terrible it was and not eat, it was not good food at all! For the price I thought for sure it would have been better. Why do you have music playing so loudly where you check in? It gets so hard to hear or even understand what is going on. The service people just smiling saying ok and not even knowing what Im saying.Come on just turn the noise off during check in!I am a medical worker, to take time off is impossible! (even more now then ever) Its been 8yrs scents my family has been on vacation, my rainy day tickets are a joke. I cant come back within a year. ( I booked when the weather said clear, so dont suggest I check. I did!) I should, just head back home, but I reserved the room for 3 nights. Think I can get a refund? Im stuck crying in my room with children who are upset and disappointed just as much.SAVE YOUR $ I DONT RECOMMEND!

Comment: We stayed at the legoland hotel and thought it was amazing! The staff was great. The elevator was so fun with music and a disco ball and cool walls. We danced everytime we went in it. Our room was awesome. We had my husband, my 3 kids and my brother in the room. My kids loved their little room with the bunk beds their own TV and Legos in the room to play with. There are Lego areas in the hotel for kids to play with and fun entertainment. The pool was like bath water and had Legos floating in it. The hot tub was nice and hot. The breakfast was the best buffet Ive had at a hotel. There was a spot that was low enough for the little kids to see and pick out food. It was nice and clean. Lots of entertainment at night for kids. There were 2 bars by the play Area for adult drinks with non alcohol drinks and snacks too. So fun for the adults to hang out too. Super easy to walk to legoland theme park. The castle hotel has a park to play at outside with Lego table and had outdoor movies playing on the wall. I just cant say enough about how much fun it was!

Comment: Really unsanitary, not impressed. We walked into the room with a dirty baby bottle next to the bed. They brought us a pack and play that had stains all over it. We opened up the pack and play and all types of crumbs poured out. Then a big black spider literally crawled out of it. So, we decided to request a new room. The new room had the TV on Telemundo high volume with the chairs pulled out, like someone was just in there. We felt less safe/clean sleeping in this hotel than our dirtiest red roof Inn experience, in the middle of nowhere in Kansas.

Comment: **military discount related**I chose to erase and edit my review. We, family of 7, were going to stay here for 3 nights this February. However, due to a delay in cancer treatment, my FIL couldnt travel during those dates and we needed to push it out about a month. When I called to reschedule our days, I was told that the new dates we had chosen would not allow us to use the military discount we were using and would add over $1,000 to our total. Mind you, we werent adding any extra days or anything. Just changing dates. The Legoland hotels have black out dates for their military discount. I dont know of any other hotel or amusement park who does this. A veteran undergoing radiation for cancer was going to be taken advantage of and I wouldnt allow that. Shame on Legoland.

Comment: Rooms were very clean. The pool was heated and we went during January 2022. We didnt realize it was until our final day there when we saw kids in it and steam coming out. They have a huge kids play area like a park in the hotel outdoor area and an even bigger one inside the park. Theres lots of places where the kids can go ahead and have fun while the parents can sit and watch for a bit. The aquarium was also a neat experience.Over all, my kids loved Legoland.

Comment: I would not recommend ever booking any trips to Legoland. We were scheduled to visit Legoland Jan 25-27. My husband had to have emergency surgery and is unable to travel for 4-6 weeks per his doctor. After calling and emailing multiple times, offering a doctor’s note, and medical records, Legoland refuses to refund, offer a credit, or change the dates for us. They have absolutely no compassion. Disneyland and every other hotel we booked in California has cancelled and refunded or offered credits. In response to Legoland’s response, I have emailed that address and spoken to numerous reps and no one is willing to help. They won’t even consider a cancellation/postponement/change even due to medical emergencies.

Comment: We had platinum passes, which included a 15% discount on hotel. But because we booked through the normal website instead of the Members portal that we didnt know about, we were charged full price and management refused to adjust the price.Overall, the policies are very unforgiving. No refunds ore cancellations at all unless you buy a trip protection plan, and even that doesnt let you cancel within 5 days. Just be careful if you spend money there, because you wont be getting it back.

Comment: Wow- this place sets the standard for designing with children in mind. The little touches all add up to a terrific experience: stools in the bathroom for kids to reach the sink, peep holes at kid level on the doors, the separate bunk bed sleeping area for kids, the Lego treasure hunt each day, the complimentary juice boxes and water, the decent sized fridge in the room etc.And then the hotel amenities are great - tons of places to build Lego, lots of character photo opportunities, a nightly dance party with a DJ, a heated pool (but be aware of the life jacket policy in advance), a decent breakfast buffet, an on-site barista, and friendly staff everywhere.Hotel is within walking distance of a few terrific restaurants if you want to head out in the evening since the park closes relatively early during the week.

Comment: We had a great experience here! Stayed 4 nights with our 2 toddlers to enjoy 2 days of park plus pool day. My 3yr old loved the bunk bed, and room layout is great for a small space. The pool was nice and not too crowded. The food was alright, was expecting little better breakfast options. The nightly gifts for the kids were so cool! Minus 1 star for awkward check in, there was no one in booth to talk to when we arrived and just 1 person in the lobby. He did help me because I probably looked confused. But overall, cant beat this location and perks!

Comment: The service has been immaculate. They have a lot of staff members and all have been very kind and helpful. The free buffet breakfast has lots of options to every age and diet. Is it the best buffet? No, but it’s good for what it is. The themed rooms are a big hit with the kids. And every day they get a new small Lego kit they get to put together and keep. The castle hotel has a playground you can hop over to and utilize during the day. The Lego building play areas have been really fun for the kids. It’s been an all around great fun experience. The downside; all guests 48in and shorter, no matter the age are required to wear a life jacket in the pool area. Even if they know how to swim. They have a big kiddie area that is 1.5 feet and my 6 yr old who is a great swimmer still had to wear a life jacket because she does not meet the height requirement even though the water only went to her knees. She was not happy about it, and frankly neither was I. The hotel is great for younger kids, my oldest is 8, he has a great time and enjoys everything. I don’t think much older than that would have much fun.

Comment: Room smells funny like its old and musty. The room is smaller than I thought it would be. Its pretty much a standard room with a section divided off for the kids. The bed is alright we asked for extra pillows and they are very lumpy and uncomfortable. My daughter tried out the hairdryer and it got very hot and flashed. It never turned on. We had to ask for a new hairdryer. The scavenger hunt gave us a code to an empty treasure box in the room. Kids were disappointed. The kids did have fun at the dance party. Hotel is very cute with all the decorations.

Comment: Although this is a kids paradise and the hotel employees such as baggage and room service was great!.... a positive is the location to the park as well. On the downside the front desk was horrible!!!! I was led to check in at their self check kiosk. After going through the prompts I was instructed to insert my card in the terminal. My card was approved but the computer terminal screen did not move to the next process and told me the transaction did not go through. The guy who was helping me walked away. The screen went back to asking me to input my card. Since no one was around I assumed my card in fact was denied so I tried again. (I guess this is where my fault lies). Finally when the guy came around I asked him what happened and pulled up my bank app where it showed my card was charged twice! The guy and manager instead of caring and trying to help just kept telling me it was my fault. Finally I stopped arguing bc I realized their service sucked. Also it would have been nice to have been helped by a real person who explains that parking will be deducted from the card used for incidental fees due to the fact my hubby was going to cover that. The kiosk takes away from the added welcome experience and with issues such as mine.... would have been avoided. There is only one QR code in the hallway of the hotel (that can be easily missed) that explains everything you need to know such as the treasure hunt! The bellman was who explained to us about the treasure hunt and that booking is required for bricks

Comment: I believe if you come into this experience knowing it’s completely for your kids it’s going to be a lot of fun. If you are looking as an adult to be blown away, then go on an adult trip.Okay, so with that out of the way. Let’s begin. Things that were great:Fellow parents - we all have little kids so I love the vibe. No teenagers cursing, no judgey 20-something year olds with no kids etc. just a bunch of fun loving KIDS and parents excited for a good time. Really loved that.Checking in and out of hotel. All done by email/text on your phone. Super easy. We chose Ninjago Theme and I really liked the decor of the room.Breakfast at Bricks - Make a reservation for 8:00am and you and family can eat within 30 minutes and can either head to the front of park to snap photos or be ready to go in the park.Reserve n Ride - Worth every penny. Get it for your first day at least. I know it’s pricey, but you will love skipping the lines. On a Saturday we rode so many rides in one day we were done and spent day two taking photos and enjoying the park. I believe we rode Technik 3 times before people I saw in the regular line got to ride it. Drop the coin, it’s worth every penny.Other Items:Skyline Cafe or Bricks for dinner were not impressive. So my suggestion is consider going for the all you can eat pizza and pasta in the park. It was at least fresh and greasy and really tasted great after a long day :DAt least as an adult night cap, Skyline Cafe offered adult beverages, and you can even order and take to your room. For their food, though, I would say if you do eat there stick to fried items because their attempts at adult food missed the mark. My kabob tasted like a hamburger flavor lol! My wife’s steak sandwich was jerky texture like. Oh well, kids loved their fries, tenders, and quesadillas lol.Staff was super friendly and approachable. I can see they deal with a lot of drama from guests though. I’m guessing those who aren’t familiar/comfortable with the lack of human involvement with check in etc. can feel a bit lost.My tips for a great trip:- Download App Early- Save Hotel Wizard Phone Number and text them with any questions in advance of trip- Reserve breakfast before you arrive (you can - do that) and dinner if you wish to do SkyCafe etc that way you already have your daily schedule ready.- Go in park early it’s on the left. Take your hotel key and show it and you can ride Coastersaurus and if you have a little one they can ride Safari Trek.Okay, wrote a lot, hope this is somewhat helpful. My kids are still talking about it and …want to go back lol (not sure I’m ready :)

Comment: Decent place to stay. Hotel feels a little dated compared to what we were expecting. My son was so excited for the character dinner dining experience but he was very disappointed he only got to meet the policeman minifigure character as he had been hoping to meet several characters, at least 3-4.The breakfast buffet was really good and enjoyable but the dinner buffet is a little uninspired and lacking in flavour. If we come again, we will just stick to breakfast buffet.Rooms were nice and my son loved the nightly surprise from scavenger hunt too! However, the bathroom door was very frustrating as it was like one of those sliding barn door-styles and it kept getting stuck open and took considerable effort to get it to move for anyone wanting privacy while using the toilet.Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but there certainly were some disappointing or lacking elements about the experience.

Comment: Place has gone downhill. We stayed at the Legoland hotel twice before with no issues. The third time was not so great. Felt run down with odd odors. Room decorations were either missing or broken. Breakfast tasted microwaved with much fewer options than in years past. On top of that, they tack on hidden extra fees even though we pre-paid. Sadly, would no longer recommend a stay here. Just not worth it.

Comment: We booked a Magic wizard theme room in the Castle hotel. Morning gave our bags in the Castle hotel and visited the Legoland park.Got a call in the late afternoon that the AC unit in the wizard theme is not working so they offered an Adventure theme room in a California hotel. When asked they said theme rooms are not guaranteed. We told the kids we are staying in the wizard room and they were disappointed. We got the room right next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy. The room was ok. They had complementary juice boxes and water bottles.Breakfast is complimentary as a part of our booking. We need to reserve a table. They had a good breakfast spread.Kids enjoyed taking the pic with the lego characters and the magic show.Since we stayed in the hotel the guest service let us take pool towels to the water park. We just have to return the used towel to the pool

Comment: Pros: My kid likes the decoration of the room.Cons: checking in was a disaster, took forever. Breakfast buffet is complimentary and suppose to end at 10:30 am, and they stopped us from going in to the restaurant by 10:15. So my kid and I have to be left empty stomach. We then tried to buy some breakfast from the coffee shop inside the hotel, and they don’t have any real breakfast food. The only thing my kid wants to get from the coffee shop is butter croissant, and they are out of it.Also, I can smell super strong weed in my room. This is quite unacceptable because we are traveling with a toddler. Also, there are always people smoking cigarettes on the balcony, and I can’t open the window because otherwise we can smell strong smoke. Not worth the money to stay. And when I check out, I see that hotel valet did not even have my information. They had to guess on the keys to get my car ready! For a moment, I thought my car is stolen.I prepaid for valet, and yet I got an invoice charging for self parking! The worst is that they accused me of taking a ice bucket which we have never even used! And they charge $50 dollars for that. So unprofessional and disrespectful.

Comment: We just stayed at the legoland hotel and were a bit disappointed. When we got to the hotel, everyone was very nice and helpful. However our room missed the mark. The floors were dirty, like they didn’t get vacuumed from the last guests. There were spilled drinks in the fridge. The room had an overall very musty smell to it. And to make everything worse, our first night there someone tried to enter our room at 1am. We had the door latched. The door latch catching is what woke us up.This being our first time to legoland, we are glad we had the hotel experience. But overall it just isn’t worth staying there again. Sadly, the overall experience of the hotel itself was disappointing.

Comment: Hard to rate as I’m conflicted. Room and food was simply horrible! Beard hairs in my buffet and a room that stunk like a swamp with a air filter that hadn’t been change in at least a year causing coughing for all of us. But on the flip side when I met with staff Alex and his manager KJ they quickly took action rectify it the best they could quickly. I won’t eat at the resort nor probably won’t stay again at their hotel and choose a Marriot or such that has higher accountability of food services and building maintenance. I would give a 5 star for KJ and team but a zero for the hotels lack of attention to the product and services they provide. Again this was just my experience but I would make sure that all is in order before you unpack your luggage. Any issues address with upper management immediately as it’s too expensive to have that kind of experience.

Comment: If it wasnt for my nephew who loved this place it would be zero stars. Everything about this place felt dirty. We know kids are dirty, and during a pandemic I would expect more attention to cleanliness. The hotel had an odd musty smell. The amenities were nice (a kids dance room, pool and arcade). There is quiet hours from 7am-10pm so thats a plus. Theres only one laundry area (2 washers, 2 dryers) which is located in the castle hotel. No one answers the phone here! And the texting feature is a joke... no one ever responded to my texts. Lastly, we asked the bellhop for a luggage cart and he said no. Then RIGHT AFTER another lady walked up and asked and he glady gave her one. This place also will added charges even if you dont use it. For example, we were charged daily parking fees even tho we dont have a car.

Comment: Amazing hotel - which is entirely designed for the joy of children of all ages. Just in front of the Legoland entrance which is very convenient. The hotel is super clean and fun and a true unique experience that children will remember for years. The only minus us the buffet dinner : food is really of poor quality and not a good experience.

Comment: Nice rooms for those young and old that like legos. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kittle on the pricey side but not as expensive as Disney. Very clean. Quiet by 9 pm. Kids area in the room super cool with a bink bed with a third roll out bed below. Comfy king size bed for the adults plus a pull out sofa.

Comment: Detailed,Honest and Tips for You review:We stayed at the California Resort arrived on a Sunday left on a Thursday the staff is incredibly kind and helpful however we were told the pool was closed yet as we passed by the entrance to the pool there were people in it...lack of communication between staff needs improvement. Food: If you are a guest breakfast is FREE at Bricks throughout your stay woohoo! Guests have 2 options Bricks Buffet and Skyline also guests MUST RSVP PRIOR using OpenTableApp to dine there but access to food is limited allow me to explain--- Bricks Buffet only accessible for breakfast and Dinner ni room delivery options for breakfast pancakes, french toast, tatertots, buscuits n gravy scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs oatmeal with the fixings, cereals coffee decaf hot tea selection NOTHING IS LABELED so eater beware... no almond or soy milk I have a child that can only have almond milk we were screwed...so BYOAM. SKYLINE: This place isnt opened through the week. Which is madness this would be the only restaurant accessible through the day to guests.. tell me why management would close on weekdays throughout the busiest summer season is beyond me...so you will be forced to either go accross to the Castle resort or order UberEats or PostMates now when Skyline is open food is fantastic they offer a separate menu for room service but room service will cost you extra....Pool: safety is their priority very attentive and friendly pool was clean towels and life swim vests are provided for the little ones hours are from 9am to 9pm. Plenty of seating water is heated. Also you as a guest have access to the Castle resort pool its about the same but they have an outdoor playground area for the little ones.Rooms: Clean comfortable beds AC worked amazing, restrooms clean spacious tub shower good water pressure shampoo and conditioner are nailed to the walls as well as handsoap, 2 water bottles 2 juices 2 keurig pods chocolate and coffee complimentary, Keurig coffee machine good size mini fridge with a freezer section microwaves NOT included but there are microwaves on each floor near the elevator as well as soda vending machine.LaundryRoom: Non existing even though the website says theres one. We confirmed with staff.**Dear readers do pack water bottles, coffee creamer, almond milk, popcorn, yogurts, hotpockets... its amazing how water was so hard and expensive to purchase...I would just buy a pack of 24 waterbottles from Costco and take that lol and dont forget to take your own Keurig pods if you desire something fancier.Another perk gyrsts have EARLY ACCESS to Legoland!! My advice...go to the park at 3pm but hit the aquarium first to kill time the crowds die out around 4pm so you totally avoid waiting in lines!Legoland Waterpark: reserve your cabana prior to your trip they do sell out plus you avoid having to hunt for a spot to sit. Theres 3 options all cabanas provide the same perks EXCEPT the number of seating. We are a family of 5 so the $250 option accommodated seating for everyone 2 layback chairs 2 regular chairs big fridge with 4 big waterbottles you get a totebag with 2 towels. Towels are NOT provided so take your own. Food at the Waterpark theres 2 restaurants or theres a menu in your cabana which your host will bring to you using the texting number they provide but honestly the food is not that good go to the restaurants instead. Also there is NO COFFEE so bring your own Starbucks iced coffee cans, redbulls,Monster energy drinks...we as parents are driven by caffeine how can they not provide us with caffeine...madness I tell you!The water is not heated there my baby was shivering.Their website is out of date do not believe everything you read if you have children that are on special diets as I do PACK THEIR MEALS and CALL PRIOR TO YOUR STAY to request a microwave they will provide you with one.

Comment: To be honest, I did not expect to rate the LEGOLAND hotel so highly, but I felt the need to do so after our stay last week. We were in a basic hotel in San Diego before this, and Disneyland after, but my kids (ages 5 and 8) are still talking about their one day at LEGOLAND and night in the hotel as their favorite. Its like they consulted a parent on what a hotel room needed for kids and actually implemented it. A step stool by the sink; liquid soap for easy hand washing; toilet seat that can accommodate littles. The kids had their own little section of the room where they played with the in-room LEGO set and watched LEGO shows on their own little TV. I was SHOCKED at how comfortable the bed was!We paid for the dinner buffet and my only complaint was they PACK you into those seats so I felt like I was on top of 2 other families. The food was surprisingly good. I was shocked that breakfast the next morning was INCLUDED!The absolute best part was the dance party in the elevators. The kids were so disappointed when we went to our Disney hotel the next day and they didnt have this!Oh, also check-in and out was SO easy. We pulled up and the valet took our car so we could go straight to the park. When we needed it we just sent a text and our car was back! Bell services was fantastic.

Comment: EVERYTHING IS AWESOME …except for a few small quirks.1. We loved the laid back atmosphere vs a Disney property. It definitely feels family friendly. The main lobby has 3 separate Lego pits where the kids can build, climb and play. One pit is dedicated to younger kids.2. The hotel room was designed for kids as well as adults. Smaller toilet seat opening, second lower peep hole, treasure box and container of Lego’s that belong to the room3. Breakfast was included with room and was buffet style with plenty of options. Juice seemed a little watered down. Overall quality food with enough varied for everyone. Some things I wish were different:1. On-site market for toiletries, snacks, drinks etc2. Would be nice for the hotel to have a standalone entrance to the park

Comment: The Legoland Hotel is the PERFECT addition to a Legoland vacation for families with young kids! My son has loved vacationing here for the past six years and always looks forward to returning. It’s an incredibly convenient location to the park - right outside the front gate. Breakfast is included with your stay and the options are endless. The pool is fun and full of kids - the best way to unwind at the end of a long day of walking around the park. Rooms have a separate kids area with bunk beds and their own tv and door to close it off from the adults area. Always generous with the coffee and juice in the room for the entire family. Kids enjoy a scavenger hunt in the hotel to open a safe with a special surprise in their room. No detail is spared in the Lego decor throughout! Do yourself a favor and book two nights! Love this place!

Comment: I think the only people more miserable than the adult guests here are the employees. The customer service from booking our stay, to check in was the worst I’ve ever experienced as a traveler. Unless you have money to throw away and just want your kids to be happy staying in Chuck E. Cheese’s sad one bedroom studio, stay away from this place! The only thing I found when we got here that I was happy about (a fitness room that wasn’t mentioned anywhere when we booked) I couldn’t get into, only to find out after standing around looking for an employee for 20 minutes that it opened at 7:00am! What person that is into fitness and is staying with a family wants to wait until 7:00am to work out? Why even have a fitness center!? The ONLY good experience cane from a valet (which was another horrible experience) that was really kind and understanding, but hey, who works for tips and isn’t friendly? Only thing I can say is I would NEVER stay here again. My mom and brother stayed less than a mile down the road right across from the ocean at the Hilton Garden Inn, their check in was seamless, had a nice room, experienced quality customer service, and had an ocean view with a beach across the street.

Comment: Really loved the themed rooms and every day there was a small LEGO set in a chest that kids have to do a scavenger hunt to figure out the code. The code doesnt change though so not much replay value. The buffet is expensive but there are a ton of food options. For the normal restaurant AND the buffet you have to make a reservation which really isnt kid friendly. Cant beat being right next door to the park either.

Comment: I was impressed with these hotel and they have set the standard for cleanliness for other hotels. Bathrooms in the lobby were cleaned every 15mins. In the hallways leading to the rooms they vacuum and steam the carpet. Safety is definitely there number concern for their guest. There checking in can be done by calling them. Or if you booked directly through them by email. They have a valet parking for $30 dollars or self parking for $25. They have a play area for the kids while you wait for the room to be ready. They also have a bar area for the adults. The rooms have bunk beds and allow kids to do a treasure hunt throughout the hotel and win a price in the combination chest. They do offer treats such as juice boxes, hot chocolate for the kids and Coffee for the parents in the room. The kids have their own area with a TV in the room. Our room wasnt deluxe so there was no door from our bedroom to theirs. It was all open space. The bathroom didnt have a fan. They also have a dance party which is amazing and the kids absolutely loved it. There breakfast was one of our favorite things. They have food for all kinds of people and children.

Comment: Right next to hotel, this one has a bigger one story lobby vs the castle (newer, two story), play area next to lobby and restaurant and bar right there. Elevator has disco (vs magic at castle). Pool is smaller, but you can walk to castle one to enjoy (castle has hottub and outdoor playground and cinema). Rooms are nice for kids (except mine got scared by the Egypt adventure style stuff...) Got free minifigure and lego bag (need to solve a treasure box!)

Comment: As for the kids, they loved it. My oldest son had been waiting years to go. Upon first glance, the room (and overall hotel) were very cool. Definitely an experience. Once I spent any actual time in the room, I noticed a thick layer of dust on everything, and smudges everywhere. Then both of the kids beds had dirty comforters. Not just stains but actual food spills and sticky smudges. So they hadnt been washed. Same with the wooden safety bars on the bunk bed. I had to use baby wipes to wipe everything down and it was pretty gross. Even the bathroom floor was dirty. There were hairs and smudges all over.I dont usually nit-pick hotels and write bad reviews, but this was just kinda disappointing. The room just wasnt cleaned.

Comment: A big YES! to staying at the Legoland Hotel. Our kids ages 2.5, 6 and 9 absolutely loved it, and we are so glad we chose it over just another hotel. The kids were crazy for the bunk beds, room decor, treasure hunts, elevator dance parties, magic show at the Pirate Ship and definitely the breakfast. My husband and I like how the hotel was so kid-friendly and had built in kid-sized toilet seats, step stool and low sink. The self-serve breakfast has tons to choose from. Show up on time to your breakfast reservation, especially if you come on Thurs-Sunday. One morning we were late to breakfast and after waiting 30 minutes in line, we were told to go to the back of the line and make a new reservation. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes. The kids played at the pirate ship while my husband waited in line. But they were hungry and the 2yo was getting cranky, so dont be late.Overall, it was a great experience, and I hope we can return in the future.

My son has Autism and it was a nightmare for him. This was his Present from Santa. He wrote his letter toSanta asking to visit legoland hotel. Internet stopped working around 4 pm at theHotel, I had to share my data to his iPad ( will be a high bill for me) then his tv stopped working … then when he finally was resting from all these up and downs of the day, security forcing us to leave… my son didn’t understand what was going on, and why he had to sleep at Sheraton when he asked for legoland hotel … he has a huge meltdown .. Dec 17th 21 - horrible!!!!! Experience…. I have no idea if I will get a refund !But I will fight for it

Brick’s family restaurant in the hotel does an amazing job coordinating family with food allergies and their dietary needs. Comment: We were here 4 years ago and decided to stay again. We chose the Adventure Family Suite this time. It is just as fun as ever! The kids love the treasure chest, the tote of Legos to play with in the room, their own TV in the kids room, and the bunk beds. Downstairs in the lobby, the kids enjoy playing in the large, interactive Pirate Ship play area. The complimentary breakfast is delicious with a variety of food options. The dinner provides another round of delicious food options. Meals in the restaurant do require reservations, and dinner is paid for by the guests. Its so nice to stay at the hotel and be within steps of Legoland Park as well as the Sea Life Aquarium.

Comment: We stayed at this hotel and the Castle Hotel each one night and I wouldnt waste my time at the Castle hotel again! This hotel felt more fun as it was filled with activities such as, dance party in one of the side rooms until 9pm, dance party in the elevators, and lots of entertainment at the pirate ship which was nice because it is inside! The skyline restaurant only offered a few options for meals with most being pretty basic and easy over priced for what you get. Our kids received a mystery figure and dog Legos with their treasure hunt (kids didnt receive a mystery figure at the castle hotel which costs the same per night). I know both hotels share some of the same staff but during our stay the staff at this hotel were much more friendly and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay. If I were to go back again, this hotel would be my only pick.

The bathroom tub was spotless, there was a step stool and additional small toilet seat for kids. All of the furniture was sturdy with no glass so I didnt need to worry about the littles breaking anything. They have valet with in and out privileges, bag check, and a texting service if you need help. Included breakfast is a full buffet.

Comment: We stayed here this weekend to celebrate our sons 7th birthday, he was beyond excited as he’s Lego obsessed at the moment. I mentioned at the time of booking as well as at the time of check in we would be celebrating a birthday. Bummed that as we were walking to room our son saw a bunch of rooms with birthday banners. When we arrived to our room it was blank, and even he said they forgot my birthday. Room was okay but significantly smaller that how they advertise kids space. Definitely not worth the price. Our shower clogged and we called twice. They never came nor did anyone follow up. Our sons lost their hats at pool, I asked Brenda to please call security or manager to open pool area to search lost and found and not only did her attitude stink from the beginning but nonchalantly said you can wait 30-45 mins for security or leave it at that. Excuse me? What’s the point of checking into a hotel that offers you perk to see park early and then be left at it’s your problem. We couldn’t wait and left without. We were glad to have stayed only one night. Overall 6-10 employees we encountered through out the areas and restaurant seemed unhappy. We definitely will not be coming back. It’s overpriced, outdated and overrated. Legoland park itself was fine. Parking was okay.
