Ordered a traditional Lelli’s and got the most pathetic anti pasta salad with dinner that I’ve ever seen. One piece of cheese, a half of a sliver of a slice of salami, 3 olives , 4 tiny pieces of lettuce and 1 shrimp. I’ve added the photo to their photos. For a $72 meal, you would think you’d get a healthy portion of sides. This anti pasta salad was such a joke , I’m not even sure why they bothered to offer it with the meal. The steak, on the other hand was quite delicious.
We just had an extremely disappointing meal this evening. The service was slow and our entrees took a very long time to come. Once we got the entrees, they did not live up to expectations. All four filets were overcooked, we did not get any of the special “zip sauce”, we had two extremely expensive lobster tails which were overcooked as well, and the drawn butter served with the lobster tails was like oil, not butter. Had enjoyed Lelli’s in the past, but we will not go back. We understand why the restaurant was not busy on a Saturday evening.
What a wonderful Sunday afternoon birthday dinner for my mother. The food was fantastic, with everything cooked to perfection. My filet was done exactly as requested and melted in my mouth, Veal was lightly breaded and buttery soft. The experience though was made even better by the our wonderful server Latasha. We felt like a guest in her home. She was always checking on us, friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Perfect dining exprerience
This was my second visit to Lellis, with a 7-year gap in between visits. It is still just as amazing as the first time I dined inside. The food is delicious, the service is fantastic, and my husband and I were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves since we came in the early afternoon on a day where it was snowing heavily. I will always recommend Lellis to anyone looking for a delicious and beautifully intimate place to eat!
DO NOT GO. Waited two hours last Saturday night and never received food after waiting for two hours. My grandson fell asleep, I was ready to fall asleep as we flew in from San Diego to spend 3 days in Detroit for a funeral service. We did received our original drink order and a basket of bread, placed our food order and that was that until I got up from the table at 9 PM to tell the hostess I was leaving and had waited for two hours. Never ate lunch that day, no dinner, was starving and had to go to the airport in Detroit in the morning. Lellis downtown was the best growing up in Michigan, but DO NOT GO!!!!!
I came here during the day on a Tuesday so it was not busy at all. The Restaurant is very nicely decorated and clean. I sat at the bar and was helped by Amber who was excellent! Its a little pricey but after enjoying my meal it was worth every penny 👌 I had a relatively cheap glass of wine with my meal and it was delicious. The smallest size filet mignon paired perfectly with my addition of scallops which were cooked perfectly. Outstanding service by Amber. Id definitely come back for more
The tomahawk steak was very good. I had a 6 course meal option. I would say that it’s overpriced at $90. Steak is good, even if it was $40-50. But the rest dose not cost $40. Salad, soup, pasta, ice cream. But overall experience was great. Obviously people don’t come here to save $$$, its all about experience. Life is good!
The food was good the service was terrible the amount of food was terrible they had no Sirloins or T bones my anniversary meal was $200 in all it consists of was 8 oz Tenderloin small portion of potatoes and exactly 13 beams and never came back to offer us a drink Nor dessert There was a time with this restaurant its done was really a nice place to goThe air conditioning didnt even work they waited until we Ordered and then and then decided to tell us that the air conditioning was outI blame myself for not getting up and walking out immediately
Omg! The BEST! This place was seriously so delicious! So glad I found Lellis on Groupon! I took my husband here to celebrate him passing his national boards. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out we were completely satisfied with our experience. Our Waitress so a delight and walked us through their menu and gave recommendations when we asked! We tried the Tenderloin on toast points for an appetizer and let me tell you! It is the best appetizer I have EVER had! And if you look at my reviews, you can see Im a foodie and love to check out new places! For dinner, we did the traditional family style dinner with the filet mignons. It is a 6 course meal that will fill you up and leave you food for take home! The pictures we took dont even do it justice! Definitely would recommend this place!
The wait staff was fantastic. The food was exceptional. I had the wild mushroom beef tenderloin. Delicious!! My wife had the lamb chops. The few bites of her lamb chops I had were the best Ive ever eaten. The only criticism is there needs to be a few new ceiling tiles installed, lol. Other than that it was perfect. I loved reading about the history of the restaurant in the waiting area as well.
Great dinner and experience! Went for our anniversary, dinner and our service was amazing. The price definitely reflected the food, which was pricey. We got the traditional, which is a 6 course meal with our entree, and couldnt come close to finishing everything. Not somewhere we would go except for a special occasion, but you get what you pay for here!
This place deserves zero stars!!!!!!!Restaurant was dirty and smelled like fishWaitress was horrible and an attitudeFood was not good at all nothing was not the soup nor the pasta nor the steak not the saladOne thing they couldn’t mess up was bread lol I’m gladDo not waste your money here people overpriced and not worth a dollar!Do yourself a favor and go spend your money elsewhere
The entire resteraunt was served before our private party. I believe that we were discriminated against in comparison to the other white guest. The food was decent but for our private party the service was slow and inconsistent. We received our food after an hour. The egg plant was delicious but I waited so long that I lost my appetite.I will not be returning.
My 2 friends took me there for an awesome steak dinner. When I got there and found out they have grass fed, all natural beef liver, I was amazed and ordered the liver, smothered in onions with bacon on the side, mashed potatoes and green beans! I was not disappointed! It was delicious and cooked just right! My friends enjoyed their filet mignon and salmon, and mine was definitely a happy meal! I am coming back for it again as well as the famous chocolate cake!
Ok restaurant in auburn hills Michigan.First thing I noticed was that the dining room hadn’t been cleaned up following earlier diners. This just made me think the staff were lazy.Food was ok, just ok. And it was a bit cold too.Steak was also a little tough as was the lobster tail. And this place was far from keep too.Not recommended. There are plenty better restaurants around this area.
Wonderful lunch with my family! It was my first visit, and it was everything I had heard about it...and more! The service was very accommodating to our little group, looking after our every need with helpful suggestions that made the experience delightful. And the food, wow! My meal was delicious, and Im sure everyone in our party would echo that! Thank you, Lellis!
Was a very nice fun experience. Very fancy, food was above average staff was very friendly but slow and inattentive. $204 was the price for two of us. We did eat and drink very good so the price does reflect that. We visited on a recommendation and we may come back if in the area again.
Very DisappointingI ordered carry out, the steak salad with the Lellis shrimp appetizer. We were told it was going to be ready by 5:20, which is the time I arrived. It wasnt ready until 6pm! Thats annoying but not the problem. I live 3 minutes away. When I got home, everything was cold except for the rolls. And the steak had a chunk of cheese which Im sure, is not supposed to be in there. While waiting for 40 minutes in their lobby I asked twice when the food will be ready. Each time, just a couple more minutes . Mind you, the restaurant was dead. There were only 2 tables occupied, several wait staff and a hostess. And no apology was given for my 40 minute wait! My meal had to have been sitting there ready for at least 15 minutes before they handed it to me. Its too bad because I was really looking forward to my dinner. Not only that, the bathroom toilets were dirty as well. I had to search 3 stalls before I could find a clean one. This is supposed to be a high end restaurant but offers a low end experience.
What an awesome spot! Came here during a business trip and was blown away by not just the amazing food, but the impeccable service. We came in late Thursday night and were immediately greeted and sat. Adam was our server and was there when needed. I am a vegetarian so going to a steak and seafood place was a little unconventional. But Adam stepped up and changed around some menu items and I ended up with chicken picatta no chicken sub pasta with a side of perfectly cooked asparagus. Yummmm!!! It was so good and wonderful to be so easily accommodated. Side note: They do have other vegetarian options available.I cant say enough wonderful thing about this spot and I hope to be back sometime.
Some items good some are ok. Pricing exceeds the quality of enjoying the food. Average. Service was slow. They were not prepared for 50 people. Very inadequate staffing. Poor planning for 50 people. Inadequate kitchen to get meals in reasonable time. Totally unacceptable. Wait staff was kind and professional.
This one is hard to just give one score. We made a reservation for 7pm this past Saturday. We arrived at 6:50 and the hostess said it would be about 10 minutes. At this time there were approx 6 other groups waiting. After being told we were “about 10 minutes from being seated” several times we finally got to our table at 8:10! I know these are hard times for the restaurants but 70 minutes late for a reservation seems ridiculous. For that alone I would give them 1 star. What saved the night was our waitress Latasha. She was friendly, attentive and had a great sense of humor. She took our drink order and food order at the same time which helped speed up the process since we were starving! Once the food came it was absolutely delicious! We each ordered filet and they upgraded both of ours to the larger size for free for having us wait. That was good service recovery but they need to revisit their reservation system. They should not offer as much availability as they cannot seem to get their patrons to their tables in a satisfactory amount of time. For the food itself and the service once seated it is 5 stars! I averaged the two for an overall score of 3.
Took my friend there for her Birthday dinner, was only going to spend about $60, but it slightly higher because of the full dinners. Groupon has an offer spend $36 get $60 in food, can only be used with full 6 course meals which the offer doesnt make clear. LOVED THE SOUP MINESTRONE. Salad was very good, BREAD was out of this 🌎 (lots of extra butter). She enjoyed a mounding plate of Spaghetti w/ raspberry sorbet for the finishing course.
Love the we were able to hang out for couple hours. Took stepson and his wife. Caesar salad bar really cool. They make dressing right 8n front of you. Bolognese sauce was like coney chilli. Sirloins ok. Wasnt worth 400 plus hundred dollar tip. Next time I will stick with best Italian Loccinos Italian restaurant on crooks. Food always awsome.
Although short staffed, we had a pretty large party and the food took a while. I can honestly say that the service we received from our server, Latasha,(sp) was impeccable. She was a joy to meet, she throughly explained the menu and also offered great suggestions. Well def go again and see of we can have her as a server.
Me and my family went to this fine dining restaurant for lunch a few days ago (6/7/19). As I remember, they serve poultry, seafood, steak, and italian food. I ordered their spaghetti, and it tasted excellent. The restaurant doesnt jude a guests attire, or dining etiquette. The bill came out to $52 per person.
The restaurant was spotless and our waiter was outstanding, he deserves 5 stars !!! The food.....not so much. I ordered the jumbo butterflied shrimp which was shrimp sauteed in a garlic and white wine reduction with fresh basil. It came with smashed potatoes and greenbeans. Well, the shrimp was overcooked, which made it very chewy, the potatoes were over smashed and all of the food floated in the garlic white wine reduction sauce. It completely covered the bottom of my entire plate, then some! I had 7 green beans that wasnt seasoned at all, for the price, it was very disappointing. I will not dine here again. I wish i had taken a pic of my floating meal.👎🏽👎🏽 Plus, only 2 bathroom stalls were clean.
I suggested Lellis to friends to celebrate a birthday and told them about the Groupon. We bought 2 and they bought 2. I told the waitperson before I ordered anything that my partner and I had Groupons and were one check and the other couple also had Groupons and were a separate check, and she understood and said we could present them at the end of the meal. We all had meals that were more expensive than we would have had without the Groupon and we enjoyed our evening and ordered 3 bottles of wine. When the checks came we were told that only 2 Groupons could be used for the 4 of us. I was extremely embarrassed that I had suggested we eat at Lellis and telling them that they could buy a Groupon for $34 and get $60 in food value. I have known Lellis since the 70s, as I was in the wine & spirits business for 35 years and my partner has owned restaurants in Michigan and Pennsylvania. The deception that we experienced using Groupon has ruined our evening and our like for a go-to restaurant.I blame the server, Lellis owner, and Groupon for small print and direct deception and Im sorry that I used and suggested Groupon.
This restaurant was alright. My wife and I arrived with a 7:00pm reservation at about 6:55pm or so and checked in. We then waiting almost 30 minutes to be seated. Im not sure what happened but that happened to a few guests that night making me question the need for a reservation in the 1st place. The host also wasnt really available for questions but maybe the restaurant was busier than I remember. Our server was fantastic, he did a great job and him and his helpers were very attentive to our needs and checked on us frequently. The atmosphere was very nice and enjoyable, it wasnt very loud or anything. The food tasted good but from my point of view not worth the prices. We had the filet mignon and a fish and chips. I was told they were known for their fillets but was not extremely impressed for the price. It didnt taste bad but definitely not super good. I would suggest trying it yourself but be aware that you might have to wait a bit even if you have a reservation.
I made plans for a birthday dinner here based on a recommendation from a friend. The service was terrible. My server, James, was very unattentive and didnt get our order right. Nor did he seem to care. The busboy spent more time at our table than he did. I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was okay but not great. I would not recommend it
AVOID!! AVOID!! This is the first review Ive ever written, Lellis Inn was THAT bad. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Server was snappy and rude, it took over 30min to get any type of food ordered. After waiting for entrees for well over an hour we asked about our food, as it turns out, they forgot about it in the back it never got started. The manager offered to comp our meal, which we accepted. However, we would have refused to pay for the sorry excuse for meals they brought out so the comp meant nothing. $100 surf n turfs ordered medium were served butterflied and so dry it couldnt be swallowed without a drink. Inedible; ate one bite and left the rest. The lobster was substituted for crab without notice, but that didnt matter because it was never delivered to the table. At this point both server and management were avoiding our table. Our group ended up walking out, something we should have done much earlier. I will NEVER give this place a dollar of my money. Not only did this place screw up a $500+ dinner and not get paid (manager comped) but they lost our business for good. In the end, we left hungrier than when we arrived. ZERO STARS
I’ve been wanting to try Lelli’s for a while now. We made reservations for this restaurant two weeks prior to restaurants opening we were very excited to have a night out for Valentine’s Day. First off as soon as we walked in there was a big sign saying that there will only be 90 minutes per table that Rubbed us off the wrong way as we were a party of 14. I feel like the waiter was rushing he was not friendly at all I didn’t feel like I got the best service the busboy was more friendly than our actual waiter. I went to the bathroom and there was absolutely no toilet paper in any of the stalls and the soap disposal was broken and I had to come out and tell one of the managers. I ordered a $49 dollar salmon dinner and was not impressed at all. It was bland and wasn’t anything special for a $$$$ restaurant, we all thought everything was over priced for the quality. They still had Christmas decor up which was very confusing especially since restaurants have had more than enough time to recoup, I walked in with a black evening dress and definitely felt over dressed. I most likely would not be coming back.
I took my wife here for early Valentines Day dinner. While the food was good, the overall experience was underwhelming. I made a reservation for 8 p.m., and arrived 15 minutes early. We did not get seated until 8:20pm. The waiter was courteous and professional. We got our drinks right away, but had to wait for the bread, as it was still coming out of the oven. Once we ordered the food, it came out in a timely fashion and was good. The lamb chops, even though small, were seasoned well, and cooked to my liking. They came with your basic mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. My wife did enjoy the chicken piccata. Unfortunately, the side of mushrooms came out late. The decor seems to be dated and the lighting was not very flattering, especially with the Christmas garland and lights still up. Not very cosey or romantic.I know it sounds like Im being picky and slightly pretentious, but when youre spending $130+tip for two people, good food should be a given, and its the atmosphere and ambiance youre really paying for. This is where Lellis fell short.
Service was good. Made reservations a week in advanced, showed up prior to reservation time and table was not ready for another 25 minutes . Food took 2 hours, steak was over cooked. server was very informative, nothing bad on her part. Kitchen forgot things which was part of meal and to top of it off, ordered cheesecake for desert and they had no cheesecake. Would not recommend.
Chad was indeed an attentive head waiter. Our party members needs were met at every request. The chicken marsala and filet magnon were succulent and savory. The 6 course meal option was pleasantly filling for a long relaxed meal among family and friends. For those with a lighter appetite the entre option is perfect. Its always a delightful dining experience.
Not a recommended establishment. We drove 45 minutes only to wait 45 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Then to receive our food improperly cooked. With all this being said the busboy has the audacity to come by right when the food hit our table to ask if we are ready for to go boxes. I’ve never had a worse experience at a restaurant before like this. You’re better off eating McDonald’s. Do your self a favor and stay far away.
Our server, Stephanie, was excellent. Very attentive and friendly. There was never a moment when we went without something. Even the bussers were checking on tables and were willing to help in any way they could. The amount and quality of food you get is well worth the money. Everything came out at a good pace (for multi-course meals).Since we came on Valentines day, it was expectantly busy but, hosts were friendly and apologetic for any wait.Would recommend and will return.
This was a wonderful experience for our anniversary. The food from salad to entree was exceptionally delicious. The meatless spaghetti sauce was the best I have ever eaten. Service /waiter was was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing. We will definitely return to try a new dish and for the experience.
Restaurant decor was so dated and dirty. Ceiling tiles are water stained, carpet is nasty and there were paint smears on the bathroom walls. Now the good , steak was ok, shrimp lelli was amazing. Table Caesar was fun and delicious. Originally, we thought the magician was tacky, but then we actually enjoyed it. Hint, when magician asks for money to do a trick, do not give him 100
Went here for an anniversary dinner, and had the best dining experience I have had in years!! Just over all, we sat at the bar for a while before we were seated, and that was lovely just chatting with the bartenders, and I was even serenaded by a duo there playing some live music! Then the actual food itself....worth every penny! A 6 course meal one could just dream of, beef tenderloin that melts in your mouth with wild creamy mushroom sauce...my oh my. I would highly recommend this place for a special occasion or anniversary!
A friend recommended this restaurant for their steaks. She grew up in the area and would go here with her family. I tried the Traditional filet mignon dinner with their original sauce and it was a great experience. Each course was good, and the steak was great. It was gently seared to a crisp and the texture was delightful. The service was excellent. I will be back!
Absolutely unsanitary!!!!Waiter served our food no gloves and thumb in our food ...waited almost 2 hrs for our main dish ..my tomahawk was asked to be cooked med.rare came out charred burnt to a crisp. ....table across from us sent their food back 2x ...very disappointing.almost a hundred for a steak i want it cooked right ....lost my business...capital grill is cheaper and food is always cooked right way ..
The meal and service were great. I went with the traditional full meal which was pricey but still a good value because all six courses tasted so good. As the hair color TV commercial used to say a few years ago, I Am Worth It. Another way of putting it: the high quality is not wasted on me.I thoroughly enjoyed the salad, antipasto, soup, pasta, entree, and desert. Servings were ample, just the right size in fact.Service was perfectly paced on a Thursday evening. I was able to spend as long as I liked on any course. Empty plates were removed unceremoniously. New utensils were provided quickly as needed. My waiter was friendly and sincere, professional and responsive.
We frequent Lelli’s all the time (both personally and professionally) and this one experience was so bad that we may never return again. We scheduled our Valentine’s Day dinner here, as parents with a new born child, time away is few and far between. We scheduled our reservation for 6 pm, got a sitter and were off. Arriving prior to our reservation, we were told that they were “running slightly behind but we’d be called very quickly to be seated”.At 6:30, I went and checked with the host and was told that they are almost caught up and we should be sat within the next 10 minutes. At 6:45, I once again went to the host and inquired. Again, much of the same thing. At 7, when I went to tell the host that we were likely going to leave, there were still 7 other 6:00 reservations to be seats before us.To have to wait over an hour and a half after your reservation time is out of control (I can understand some time 30-45 minutes but that was ridiculous).Every diner that goes to Lelli’s knows that it is a multiple course meal and the meals take time per table. Obviously Lelli’s should know this as well. So, this clearly was a way for them to pack in more reservations, knowing that on Valentine’s Day, customers will wait. It was absolutely awful to do this to customers just to make more money for one simple night.
First time visiting this restaurant because of all the good reviews. Made a reservation for 7 but didnt get a table until 8:30, our server was not very friendly and acted like we should know how they do things even after we told him this was our first time and asked a few questions. He did not pay us much attention and spent most of his time talking at another table, we felt very uncomfortable there with him so we ate some of our food paid our bill and left. Dont like pulling the race card but definitely felt like it
Horrible! I have gone to this restaurant for many years and am finally to the point that I will never return. The steak is hit or miss - sometimes its great, sometimes it is mediocre, at best.We went tonight and towards the end of the meal I found a bug in my drink. I literally went straight to the bathroom and vomited up my entire dinner. When the manager came to our table to apologize she spoke only to my husband, not at all to me. He even said to her at one point it happened to my wife, trying to clue her in that she should be speaking to me. When the bill came she took off $42, not even the entire cost of my meal. We waited for ages for our server to come back just to tell her that there was no way I was going to pay for a meal that I threw up, let alone the drink with the bug in it. The server understood and was very understanding and went to talk to her manager. She then came back with a bill that was $40 more than the first one, this time only having taken off 3 of 4 sodas. Upon complaining again the managers daughter came over and apologized and she then took 3 of the sodas off and two of the entrees off. After all of the hassle and having waited an exorbitant amount of time they really should have taken care of the whole bill instead of squabbling over it with us. I am extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service and will NEVER return!!
This was the worst dinning experience I’ve ever had. We booked dinner at 8:45 for Valentine’s Day. We went there and we were told the wait is about and hour even with the reservation. We didn’t get seated till 10:30. The waiter was very kind and kept apologizing even though it wasn’t his fault. Our steaks didn’t come till midnight and weren’t cooked the way we asked for. Very very poor management for Valentine’s Day. We were told they hard over 800 dinner reservations!! Never going back.
We did a carryout last week as we were missing the Lellis experience and amazing pasta!! The pasta did not disappoint; however we were very disappointed that our order did not come with bread. Also, extremely disappointed in the shrimp cocktail. They were not fresh and very small - no value whatsoever and makes us question whether we will return.
We always enjoyed dining at Lells. It was our 36th year wedding anniversary. Food was awesome , as always. We ordered lobster Lelli and 12 oz steak. Delicious!!! Our server, Michael, could use a little improvement. He didnt engage with us. Didnt even ask if our purpose to dine because of a special occasion. Just took the order and thats it. He did hold maximum conversion with the party of 8 across from us. He even sang a birthday song with them. He kept passing our table, with minimum inquires. We got full so he packed our food in a container, and placed them on the our table for us to bag. Not a big deal but just an observation..lack of customer service, maybe. He did bring us a piece of cheesecake and said happy birthday to my wife. By then, we were too ready to go, and did not correct the nature of our visit. And of course, we were full. Oh yah, by the way, he brought us a big container for this small cheesecake. And a bag for us to put it in...Not sure what happened here, but surely an attention to detail regarding customer service is overlooked, maybe? But, well return, and just observe if Michaels customer service had gotten better.
Went on 12/31/2019... Reservation was for 7:30 and it took them 45 minutes to set us. Service was extremely slow, it was 9:15 before they took dinner order. Food arrived at 10:45, steak was excellent but side dishes were cold. With Lellis reputation and the prices they charge I expected moore.
Have been coming here ever since I moved to Rochester maybe 20 years. This is the best high quality food that’s closest to me. Just had the most unbelievably good experience. Ordered thru grub hub, they missed a small chicken pasta. The restaurant actually had someone drive us out the replacement. They gave an entre version of what was missed plus, 2 escargots on top. Went so far above and beyond that I’m on here posting this. Plus this during the carona fiasco. I’m blown away and will be ordering here so much more often. Phenomenal restaurant food quality and customer service! -JP
The service was very good. The food is tasty but way overpriced. Ordered a porterhouse steak for $75. Should have been a 32 oz appeared to be very small and way overdone. Disappointed in a $75 steak being such poor quality. Other meals in our party appear to be much better than the one I ordered.
Dont go here. This place was terrible. I called and reserved a table but they didnt put it in the computer. When we arrived one of the women said - I remember you calling. We stood at the bar and after a while I asked - are we getting a table? The hostess said ok I will see if there is a table. After 30 minutes they found a table but when we walked into the restaurant it was half empty. It took 20 minutes before a server came to ask about drinks. It took another 20 before they brought some bread rolls. I have now been here nearly 2 hours and still havent got any food. I have been in diners with better food and service.Just left. I was so disgusted I tipped $10 on a $420 billIf you like overpriced spaghetti and meatballs this is the place for you. If you think $150 per person should buy you a nice dinner - go elsewhere
This was a date night surprise that my boyfriend took me too. We will be back, the food and service were far beyond my expectations. Emily was our server and she was great! Very friendly and pleasant to have serve us. Christian was the busser and he was great too! He got us hot fresh bread and was always clearing the dirty plates from our table and refilling my water without even asking! If you are looking for a special night out or just a great place to have great food this is the spot for you!
We went our for date night with our groupon. Our waitress Julie was amazing she made our whole night. She was very attentive and detail oriented. It was a lot of food, we were able to share the meal. The only reason why Im giving the 4 is because I wasnt a fan of the shrimp and we had to send back the steak that was rare. However, they corrected the steak and it was delicious.
Really bad first time experience. After a 1 hour wait when a reservation was made, finally was sat, waited about 10-15 min for water. Got waitress, got apps and dinner prior to the tables next to us who were there for 3 hours, yes we could be grateful for that, but that’s ridiculous and unfair. Food was unbelievably dry. Definitely a first time I couldn’t even eat a few bites of our filet and lobster. Very disappointing.
Surprised they weren’t shut down last night for COVID violations. There was a wedding party shouting and running around not wearing masks all while still having the restaurant open to the public. Our reservation didn’t seem to matter because we still ended up waiting 45 minutes to be seated. While we were waiting, people from the wedding were running up and down the lobby area w/o masks on. No manager seemed to be enforcing any kind of rules for them. Music was so loud it was hard to have a conversation at the table. Next time you host a wedding do the public a favor and just say you’re closed or give us a discount because that was not what I remember Lellis to be like AT ALL.
Overall, I really enjoyed my Lellis experience. Their traditional style of offering dinner in courses (antipasta, salad, soup, spaghetti, entree) for a relatively reasonable price was very enjoyable. My filet mignon was impeccable - cooked perfectly and very tender. My server Chad was very attentive and professional, and even the bus boys would stop what they were doing to fill my water or ask how I was finding everything. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars, which I didnt even want to do, was because the rest of the waitstaff was standing around across the room the entire 2 hours I was there, talking so loudly that I could hear every detail of their conversation. At a couple points, staff even shouted across the room at each other or yelled for someone out of the kitchen. I found it to be extremely unprofessional for what should be a classy restaurant, and mentioned it to a manager, who blamed it on the fact that the music wasnt playing tonight so there was nothing to cover up their voices. I hope she corrects the issue because I would like to return and hope for a better atmosphere next time.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I can look past the bowl of ketchup they tried to call cocktail sauce as part of the very very sad antipaso tray, but I cannot forgive the bowl of puke they tried to serve us. I think it was supposed to be the minesteone soup, but it was either canned or they confused the bathroom with the kitchen. It looked like it had been sitting all day as it was starting to solidify around the edges. I would rather eat 9 McDonalds cheeseburgers, puke them up and eat that then ever return to Lellis.
We had reservations for Valentines Day and they were terribly ill prepared! We were in the restaurant for over 4 hours and when the food finally came, it was not good at all...like they had thrown it together because they werent prepared. The server Chad as excellent though.
I was hired to photograph some of their Premier dishes and I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant since I was a little boy in Detroit. They are still very authentic and service is always impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant for not just incredible food but a wonderful dining experience too.
I was very impressed by the service. The server really gave us a world class experience with a particular care of details. The flavor and the menu choices were very good. Low light setting might put some people of but a lot of people appreciate it. A bit pricey but this is perfect for a business dinner
I frequently visit Lellis. I live quit a ways from there. The food is very expensive . However, I pay for what I like and I travel for good food.Food and Service is different. My husband and I paid 140 plus 25.00 tip for our meal. I ate less than half for my meal. The server boxes it and we forgot it on the table.I called to see if maybe next time, I can get compensated for at least half of my meal. I was told by Management NO, you forgot to take it its not our fault.Well they just lost a customer
I’m not one to write bad reviews but this place ruined my Valentine’s Day and anniversary with my husband. We’ve Heard wonderful things and decided to make a reservation for Valentine’s Day although we did make it last minute. We arrived 15 minutes earlier to our reservation (it was at 8:45 we arrived at 8:30) we checked and did not know the bar area was available for drinks and snacks. After we heard the hostess or whatever she was tell other people that they were free to go there and wait we decided to just go. The bar staff was attentive and great! After waiting an hour plus to get seated we sat down finally at 9:45 (after they told us it would be an hour wait even tho we made reservations). We were seated for 20-30 mins and finally had someone come over who was not even our server to tell us our server would be right w us. 10 minutes later (10:40) she comes up and tells us basically nobody at the restaurant can take our table so she is taking it. (I don’t blame her by the way, she was great and tried her best to be there for us). So we placed our order wine and food. The wine took twenty minutes so it is now almost 11:00 and I’m just getting my wine and oh a bread basket! At 11:10 we got our soup with no spoons even tho we asked for spoons so the table next to us gave us their spoons bc they did not order soup. Also, this table came in at 11 and ordered their food at 11 ish and got their food by 11:30 while my table and bunch of others who were there longer than I was did not get their entrees. I don’t blame kitchen our staff for this problem. I blame management who did not care for anyone else besides the party that was in the banquet room. I’ve worked at many restaurants so I understand the ultimate goals as a manger. But in my past, not once did we ever have a private event on a holiday like Valentine’s Day. That is just common sense. You don’t book a huge event that ruins all of the Guests time. I recommend, if you have life and you don’t Wanna spend 5 hours at a restaurant to not get food....don’t come here. Maybe during the week they are not as busy but I couldn’t see myself spending 70 plus dollars on just my entree not including my dates food or apps or drinks Or dessert. Anyways do not trust this place for special occasions.
My guy ordered through grubhub. They forgot my chicken to my pasta but let me tell you they made up for it and went above and beyond! They personally delivered a replacement order and were so generous i couldnt believe it!!! Just amazing! Also, i have to say that this place has one of the best cream spinach, hands down! Thank you for taking your business and customers to heart!
Absolutely THE BEST steak Ive ever had. The small filet is amazing and make sure you order the shrimp Lelli appetizer. Old world Italian food. Been eating here since the 80s when they were in midtown and the food is still fantastic. Servers are always great. Its our go to place for anniversaries or special occasions. Derrick was our waiter...Id ask for him again.
This used to me my favorite steak restaurant, but lately it has gone downhill...I always get their famous $60 Filet Mignon dinner, but my last few visits have always been the same: The steak comes out incredibly underdone, so I send it back and they bring back the same steak burnt to a crisp. There is another Lellis across town which Im told has been better.
I have been here a few times. And only had one bad experience. It was not the food. It was the wait staff. My husband and I do not drink so when we order coffee or a soft dring we would appreciate that the wait staff refill these. In most cases they do, but in our last visit we had a very new waitress who did not have the time to do this. I say SO WHAT. When Just my husband and I spend over $100.00 for meals I expect exceptional service. I got better service at the coney island down the street then with this waitress. I have not been back in a year because of that experience. However, I just made reservations and will return, but if she is our waitress I will request another table.I did give Lellis and five star. The food in wonderful. I would suggest everyone try them.
Some things never change and at Kellis we dont want them too.Food is amazing and what you would expect. Table side ceasar salad is a must. Killer apps and home made pasta. Order a special or right from the menu. You will not be disappointed.Service with a smile no matter who you cross paths with. From management to the bus staff everyone is professional and courtious. This dining experience is always positive and place every must try. But once you do, you will fall in love with it.
The food was good. It would be better if the order was right. There is ZERO communication within the personal.Called for pickup order. Called 5 minutes lates for some updates - NONE were done. Extra time spend, and they even charged me the extra meal... Very dissappointed. Looks like that place does not care about their clients...
Food was good. Service wasnt. We were in a large dinner party and they clearly were either not prepared or inefficient in handling despite a very limited menu offering for the event. 730pm reservation and entrees delivered to table at 1130pm. I wouldnt recommend for a large dinner party.
Tonight was the first time we experienced Lellis and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was classic yet relaxing and the live music only put it over the top. The guitarist and violinist even went as far as going to each table to see if there was anyone celebrating anything and gave everyone individual attention (We were celebrating my birthday so we were serenaded with happy birthday and you are so beautiful which I absolutely LOVED!) Our server was a wonderful woman named Latasha who made us feel comfortable from the start and gave us a lot of laughs on top of impeccable service. Honestly we loved her! The food was also no disappointment. The filet mignon was just as youd hope, moist and tender, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Even the busboy/server assistant was beyond polite and pleasant (I didnt catch his name.) I really cant think of anything bad to say. As people who do not go out to fancy restaurants, like ever, this is an experience we not only loved but would go back for again without hesitation.
Very, very disappointed! First and last time at Lelli’s Auburn Hills. Took my wife there on Mother’s Day for lunch. The service was slow and clueless - after sitting at our table for 10 - 15 minutes (with only two other tables in the vicinity), we had to wave down a busser to ask for water and 2 more place settings. 10 minutes after that, our waiter showed up. My wife ordered a Filet Mignon medium, which came out well done, dry and tasteless. I ordered the Veal Parmesan and one of my sons had the Chicken Parmesan. Both were served over meat sauce which overpowered the taste of the Chicken and Veal and gave a sensation and taste like eating chili. The only food that was not screwed up was the Fettuccine Alfredo and the Caesar Salad. Also, it took forever to get our food - 2 hours from start to finish.Lelli’s - For the enormous prices that you charge - your food should be much, much better. There is nothing sensational about your food - and there should be for the cost!
We celebrated my wifes 50th surprise birthday party at Lellis. The food was amazing. Service was fair. Just to clarify. A bit disorganized and not as requested. We were overcharged with drinks that were not our resposibility. Staff was very professional and more than willing to make good on the missed requests.
First time visiting and wasnt that impressed. Was told that they had the best filet around and it was mediocre at best. Salad was tasteless, soup was good but the pasta course tasted like it came from a cafeteria. Definitely not worth the cost would rather go to Mr. Pauls or Ruth Chris or Mortons.
5 stars the last two time we were there. This experience for us was a 1 star. We sat on the left side against the wall on the right hand side. The carts running up done the isle on the other side of the wall were very loud and distracting. Perhaps rubber wheels would help quite the carts down. But more disappointing was that the soup and our entrees were not hot at all. The steaks were basically at room temperature and the vegetables were also not hot. I usually would write it off but we were entertaining another couple that was really looking forward to a nice high end restaurant experience and I felt they too were not impressed with their visit at Lellis.
Where should I start?Lellis is a family owned establishment thats been around since the 1930s, Ive been going since 2008, and Im happy to see they have weathered the rough economic times of Metro Detroit to see the new economic boom of Auburn Hills. The food is always great, the timing between courses is beyond exceptional, and the waitstaff is courteous and individualistic. The Mid-Western style attention paid to the customer is refreshing. While the building decor is starting to show its age, the experience and service rivals (and in most cases is superior) to the years I have spent enjoying the fine dining in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
GROUPON SCAM, IT IS BUY ONE 60$ MEAL AND GET ANOTHER MEAL UP TO $60 FOR WHATEVER PRICE IT IS TODAY. DISHONEST IN ADVERTISING! And why have a Groupon deal when you have no help is just stupid!! Why a famous old school restaurant cant keep or get servers makes me ask why? What happened to the great ones they had? Where did they go? Skip it, no help and less than average food. Soon to be a has been!
My hubby surprised me for my 40th birthday here and he worked out all the details with Rhonda. She not only had my favorite drink ready, but she made sure our table was prepared with my favorite flowers and birthday dessert! I cannot thank Lelli’s and Rhonda enough for making my 40th birthday so amazing!
The food here was very delicious. We came here on a Saturday night and the place was quite busy. On Saturdays reservations are required. They had a couple who played instruments and went around the tables and performed for you. That was a first for me haha.I also used a Groupon for this restaurant. If you do use a Groupon for this restaurant I should let you know that for at least one of the meals it has to be the 6 course meal option. That was what I was informed of when I brought up my Groupon.Overall the experience was great and I would recommend it :)
I went there for an investment seminar and I ordered the salmon. Best piece of fish Ive had in a long time and I eat fish everyday almost. I couldnt stay any longer I had business and I had to go and they were nice enough to give me my order to go in a container and it was still warm when I got home great restaurant really nice inside too
Absolutely delicious! Service was unremarkable. The atmosphere is is nostalgic. Some peo ppl le have called it dated, but its cool. I like it. I like to step back into the way things were....the way the hospitality should be. Excellent martini, traditional 6 course was worth every cent
Very expensive but more reasonable with a Groupon. Service was fantastic. Most of the food was very bland. Nice sized portion and well cooked 11 oz. filet mignon but not well seasoned. House salad was tasty, antipasto was average. If you have a seafood allergy let them know ahead of time as they put a piece of juicy shrimp on the plate that could run into your other food. Soup was decent. Spaghetti was not great. Spumoni slice was wonderful. Decor and food presentation was average at best. Could use some upgrades in their food flavors and table settings. I expect more from a restaurant with higher end pricing.
I really experience very poor service and food portions. I called my order in when they first opened. I told the young man I would be there at 1:30 because I was on lunch. I still waited about 15 minutes because he was trying to find some alcohol because the bar tender didnt show up. That was very rude an discourteous. Then I get back to work an my 3 quarts of soup were half full. I was very disappointed and done with Lellis.
The food was pretty good... However, our waitress was horrible! She didnt seem to care, she was unable to answer questions about the food, like how it was, the consistency, even how their Traditional food order went versus their Al la carte version. We had reservations for a special birthday, and asked for a booth while making the reservation... And they sat us at a table, and nothing extra was done what so ever. The soda tasted like lemon (if thats what they do, they should at lest let you know when you order). The lemon sorbet tasted atrocious! The Tiramisu was an odd consistency, but overall wasnt horrible. And lets not forget about the whole Valet parking! Where they try to force you to use their valet instead of parking on your own. And when close to closing they start to rush, and turn off the music, and everything just seems to get louder...Overall, the food was good, not worth the price. The service was horrible! The atmosphere did not make up for the cost of the overall experience & price. Would not recommend.
Worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Waited 10 minutes after being seated for a menu, waited about 15 for my drink, salad was very over-dressed and my filet came back so rare it was cold in the center. When I sent it back, they burnt the outside and still managed to leave the center deep cold, all while my sides got cold on the plate. They were nice enough to comp the single drink I was able to have but I’ll never be back.
Our waiter John and Isiah to ok k very good care of us. I have been going to Lellis for 70 years and have never had a bad meal. The CHATEAUBRIAND (a house specialty) was wonderful, tender and juicy as always. The zip sauce a secret so sacred that it is made off premises enhances but does not dominate the succulent center cut. With the main course you also get the antipasto tray, soup, salad, pasta and dessert. Spinach, carrots, and potatoes are also served. The menu is two large pages and will satisfy any taste. My favorite spot.
Pleasantly surprised. We used the Groupon so we werent sure if it would be a good place or not. Never know with the Groupons.First, I asked if the fish was breaded. Waiter knew right away that it would be for a gluten sensitivity. They have GF pasta, GF soup, GF entrees, GF salad dressings! All of it was Amazing. I got salmon - traditional. The lemon butter sauce was perfect. If you are picky about fishy taste, no worries here. Its really fresh a d good quality fish. My husband loved his steak. Also was nice to be serenaded by a violin and guitar player duo. Saturday night entertainment set a romantic tone but there were a couple families wirh young kids too.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The entrees come with a bread basket, antipasto tray, a salad, soup, spaghetti, and dessert! There will be plenty of food in your meal to satisfy your hunger. There are ala carte options as well for those who do not want the multiple course full meal option.
This restaurant is an excellent opportunity to enjoy Northern Italian cuisine with a 1930s feel with its semi-circle leather banquet booths and I was almost waiting for someone to have an old fashioned 📞 plugged in to accept a call like you see in a classic movie.Plus our very fastidious waiter looks like a great Humphrey Bogart lookalike. The good was delicious. My Chateaubriand was delivered tableside and was large enough for me to have for lunch the following day. I chose to have my dinner ala carte and I still had creamed spinach and potatoes. My dining partner chose the complete meal and I had the pleasure of having a few items from the antipasti platter as well as the large loaded house salad 🥗 whilst they had the creamed minestrone soup. The Moscato wine was delicious enough for 3 glasses. We were with a large group and our waiter did an excellent job. There was a bottle of red wine 🍷 and not once did they need to refill their own glass. We were dressed very dressy casual however there were patrons that came in jeans too. You could go dressed to the nines or casual dress. Up to you.Its a tad costly, but the food is delish and the atmosphere is great too.
Tl;dr: this is a place you go to, when you want everyone else in the restaurant to see how wealthy you are, and are ok with eating sub par food because of the status it brings, and the history of the restaurant.Pros:- the bread balls were hot, and near perfection- soup was good enough- famous sauce is good with the carrots- mashed potatoes tasted hand made and deliciousCons:- stood for 5 minutes before even being acknowledged we were there, at the front, in a high visibility spot- 35 minutes from our reservation time, we finally received water and a greeting from the waiter- waiter was short with us, rude and pretentious. Make sure you acknowledge that they are famous for all the things. Did you know, they are the most famous steak house in Detroit? I didnt, nor did I realize that Auburn hills is detroit...- the girlfriend and I both agreed that the bolognese tasted like chef boyardee (sic?).- the 11 oz. Filet was not butter knife tender like it was described; I shouldnt need a steak knife for a medium rare filet.- their famous clarified butter sauce does not pair with the steak, at all; and they cover your plate, and everything ends up tasting like it- desert was a hard brick of mediocre ice cream, imported from a famous place in detroit- meal was decidedly overpriced for what it was.If the meal was half the price, I still would not go there again. Avoid this place; its hoping that being old and expensive tricks your taste buds into liking it.
I feel like the restaurant is trapped in a time warp. Walking in felt like going back in time to what a fancy restaurant looked like in 1963. Lots of dark reds and naugahyde maroon semi-circle booths. The food was good but not great. The appetizer platter had 2 lunch meats, black olives, sliced cranberry jelly freshly slid out of a can, and 2 shrimp that looked fresh from a ring from Kroger. In the middle, a large dish of cocktail sauce that would be enough for 30 shrimp. My wife had chicken parmesan and the parmesan was an obvious square of cheese melted on top looking like a Velveeta single. My steak was excellently prepared but their signature zip sauce was very very oily. All in all it was a fairly disappointing meal made obscenely disappointing by the price. It wouldve been a disappointment at 1/3 the price. But for what we paid, it was bordering on criminal.
Food was pretty good, the service was slower than any restaurant Ive ever been to and our server was not personable at all , we even had to go find him to ask for a steak knife. Another customer actually walked out because they didnt ever get service. Not worth the money
I was given a groupon as gift from a co-worker and decided to check it out with my boyfriend. The groupon deal is $30 for $60...which sounded like a great deal..since it was a gift...we had literally $60 free towards our meal. Well considering they charge $64 for a steak dinner and $30 for pasta...it wasnt a super great deal unless your dining alone. We ended up getting pasta. I got spaghetti bolognese and my boyfriend got mostacholli....both were super bland...my meatball was dried out and had no flavor. The decor is very very old vegas style...and our waiter reeked of cigarette smoke. It was so strong that I dreaded everytime he came over. Our experience overall wasnt terrible but we felt extremely uncomfortable because we were dressed casual (it is a very casual attire restaurant) and waiters/patrons kept glaring at my boyfriends jeans. I would definitely not go back, it definitely is not worth the price at all. Unless you have money to blow I wouldnt suggest this place, they are many other places that serve better product and have a better ambiance at half the price they charge.
This is the best & most classic Italian food in all of metro Detroit. Highly recommend the 1929 salad, Bolognese, chicken piccata, chicken Parmesan, and of course their famous steaks. Also, they have an incredible selection at the bar, and the bartender Nick is a top-tier bartender and an absolute pleasure to speak with.Make sure you visit this place if you’re looking for a memorable evening!
Lellis is my all time favorite place to eat, whether its carry out or dining in, I love love love their food. I started going to Lellis when it was still in Detroit, back in 1979. When i moved on Philadelphia St btw Woodward and Second, I was there more often then now. My favorite meal is the Linguini with clam sauce( white that is). Inside is very romantic, dimly-lit lights, beautiful wood doors, well stocked bar and there is a fish Aquarium that makes me so relaxed. I wish I could afford to go there more often even with it being in Auburn Hills.
The building is showing its age (leaking ceiling over our table, with large stains and falling drywall), the parking lot is atrocious (and they reserve 98% of it for valet, which is annoying), the steaks are great, but the overall experience its not worth the money. They really need to invest in property improvements to get this place back on the map.
Wifey took me to Lellis Inn, six course meal, waitress on us like we were somebody. When you through with one course the other course was on its way, they serve you. They make you want to tip them good. Like the song says, they work hard for the money, food was GREAT!
Made a reservation A MONTH ago to Lellis Inn for Valentines Day. My reservation was at 8 pm and I was not sat until 10:30 pm. My server did not come to my table until 11:30 pm. At that point, I lost my appetite and did not want to stay. Very unprofessional and unorganized.
Extremely disappointing! My husband and I share the same birthday so we went here with two of our teenagers to celebrate our birthdays. Slow and inattentive service, over priced food and drinks, and no frills ambience and food. We all had the traditional 6 course streak dinners, sparing no expense to celebrate a 50th birthday! This will be my last time going to Lellis. I had such high expectations for an upscale dining experience and left feeling utter disgust that we chose Lellis for this special event. Wished we wouldve went to Capital Grill or anywhere else instead. Hard earned money down the drain and a spoiled special event. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!
Initally found out about the place via Groupon. We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted something special. Overall great choice. My husband ordered the lambchops and I had the chicken curry. Both were quality dishes and was well flavored. Courses include fresh baked bread, antipasto, salad, soup, spaghetti, the main entry, and desert. I would return again. I strongly urge you to inform the waitress if you have a Groupon upfront. You will be informed of what you can order (without an extra fee). I seen a few parties upset when they received the bill and assumed the Groupon covered the entire menu.

2022-02-16I went for a business dinner. The food was wonderful. The sting beans were amazing. The mashed potatoes were delicious and I dont like potatoes. The steak was perfection. The house wine was lacking. I had the house cab, it was a little chalky. I ordered the Justin cab, and I was pleasantly surprised by the generous pour. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the waitress was on top of her game. I must say even the valet was very impressive. Service from beginning to end.

2022-04-28Overall not impressed. Thank God we had a Groupon. Waitress didnt show up to the table until 20 min in. Hostess had to get us started with everything.we were never offered a drink menu or anything but water to drink. It took an additional 45 min to get our food. I ordered chicken marsala. Tasted like it was pre-made in a can. Didnt taste bad but tasted exactly like I had at a different resturant recently. My daughter had lasagna and got a side of mashed potatoes. Potatoes were flavorless and dry. She said the lasagna was good. The server served the guy next to us his food and never came back to even see if it was ok. He had to hail the hostess to get his check and pay. Only then did the waitress come and ask him how his dinner was. Most of the time she was no where to be seen. I would understand if she was busy with other tables or something but she was just plain MIA. The reaturant was not that busy and they were well staffed. Not impressed and would NOT recommend. PS the hostess lady was working her butt off. Wish we could have tipped her.

2022-05-06If there’s a special occasion you want to celebrate by enjoying a great dining experience, Lelli’s in Auburn Hills, Michigan is the place to go. CAUTION it’s pricey but the service, food, and ambiance are awesome and worth it. We enjoyed the surf and turf six course special - excellent! So, for those special occasions, drop some $$ and enjoy yourself. You can dress comfortably too - just because it’s fancy, no need for a coat and tie - unless you just want to. I highly recommend.

2022-03-03I’ve been here for a lunch break during a business trip in Fiat Chrysler on 2013.Wonderful restaurant, high class elegance, upper level services.I’ve tasted really superb surf and turf (and it is an Italian sir is speaking!).I wish to be there once again in my life, even I am fairly sure this will never happen again.Lucky persons who will have the chance to eat there.

2022-03-06Beautiful atmosphere, very relaxed, and absolutely amazing food. Everything was fresh and my steak was phenomenal with their zip sauce and was perfectly cooked to order. Sides were awesome as well. WORTH EVERY PENNY. We will return soon.

2022-05-09Our server worked very hard to take care of us but it still felt like being stuck on an airplane thats stuck on the tarmac. Being stuck in this booth for over 3 hours became excruciating. The food was nowhere in sight. Management clearly needs further education. This experience can best be summed up by the word painful.

2022-02-13So we came on a Saturday night for valentines day, thinking it would be super busy and it was not. We had reservations at 830, we had a few minute wait for our table nothing bad. But once we got to our table they gave us a menu and then it was a good 15 minutes before anyone came to get a drink order or an order for our food. I ordered the white peach sangria that was very good! My boyfriend was upset they were out of sirloin steak and no one told us before we ordered. It took over an hour to get our food! I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, the first time it came I could tell the noodles had been sitting out because they were all stuck together under the sauce. After it was remade it was very good. Their service was super slow, but also because our waitress kept running to the kitchen and so many tables were left waiting.

2022-04-10Service was good. Portions were fine. It only gets 3 stars because it is way overpriced for the quality of food. Food was good, not great. For the price, the food should be great. Ive had better quality and paid less, elsewhere.

2022-02-13The food was excellent and well staged for this fine dining establishment, which is expected, but the service was not up to par. Our server appeared knowledgeable about the availability of some of the menu items, but he was very abrupt in his dealings with us and took longer than necessary to honor requests and serve our food. It appeared that he could only do one thing at a time, that is, he spent a lot of time running back and forth from the kitchen to the tables carrying individual items rather servicing several tables in one trip. At first I thought we may have had a bad server, but then I noticed the other servers were doing the same thing. They were like ping pong balls bouncing around the inside of an empty box. The bus boy and water boy had to be summoned several times to assist us and check the status of our meals.
