The restaurant was a little busy and they were unstaffed, now I understand being stretched thin but theres a difference between stretching thin and being plain rude.The waitress was really nice until our food came. My friend ordered a cheese burger no pickle no tomato and they brought it out with only a pile of pickles (like a sarcastically large amount of pickles) and when we asked for a new one because it wasnt what we ordered. She brought it out plain then when sent back came out with only lettuce no onion. Each time with more and more attitudeMy french toast was slimy and didnt look like the grill had been cleaned since they cooked one of my other friends omelette. I asked if she would just comp the french toast so we could leave, she rudely said Id have to call back in the morning for a voucher or something. When I said I didnt want that because I didnt want to have to come back she said she couldnt comp it because she didnt have permission in the computer to do it (which is a management fault). After a while she said nothing and dropped another check at the table with the french toast compedI have never had a more frustrating experience just trying to get out of the door. I left the cash next to the register, after she walked away in the middle of cashing me out, and told her it was there have a good night, she didnt even look up to see if it was there. I have been served much worse food, not that it was edible, but I have never had such attitude about such bad food. Its not my fault you cant serve a correct order of french toast or a cheeseburger, dont take it out on me
FYI they have the Impossible Burger now!! Ive been coming here with my friends for years & struggled to find a good veggie option for a meal, but not anymore! :)This place is the best for everything; a quick lunch, catching up over coffee or a late night snack. All the staff is super sweet & accommodating. The Birmingham Leos is the best Leos!!!

I visit here all the time the food is always on point! BUT yall can put a lil bit more chilli 👌🏾on the chilli cheese fries and a few times I ordered here I had to make sure the cashier/waitress put the ranch dressing in the bag with my grilled chicken pita about three times I ordered it and either had gyro sauce or nothing at all 😩 after leaving 5$ tips I felt so betrayed how could yall do this to me 😂

Ordered through Uber eats twice... terrible food/prep both times. Most recently this morning. Did not cook hashbrowns...served completely raw potatoes.

The macaroni and cheese needs an adjustment. Its basically cheese soup with a few noodles in it, you get one cup for 11 dollars.

Came in. There was one woman at the register and one waitress. The waitresses friends came in and instead of taking my order even though I was there a couple minutes before her friends she hung out with them. The other employee went to a table that I assume was there longer than me. I sat there for 10 minutes without anyone coming to take my order. Im never coming back here and I would not recommend it to anyone. I have never gone to a restaurant and then ignored like this. Ive eaten here before in the past and the food was just all right so that combined with bad service makes this place not worth a visit.
Ordered a club sandwich and a Cobb salad, was given a chef salad with Kraft cheese. Club sandwich also had Kraft cheese on it and was very small for the price

They do not read the tickets and then when explaining what they failed to do to begin with their manager said simply said “sorry the owners don’t speak English”🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Will not be ordering from them again!
The owner is just rude. He’s rude when I come in to get my food, and tonight he wouldn’t even let me speak to order. Sounds like a very miserable old man. Last time I was in there the waitresses were telling me he’s so cheap he got rid of of senior and veterans discounts.The food is also just never that good. Pita is always wet and sloppy.
Late evening service is absolutely disgusting. There is a portly cashier with the common sense of a gnat. She’s rude but I still blame mgt. This is the only location where there is anarchy but the customer service is absolutely ZERO STARS! Positively would not recommend!Things are likely different earlier in the day, prior to midnight.
Came here around 11pm, took the server almost 30 minutes to come to the table. The food came out cold, and didn’t even get everything that we ordered. When I asked the waitress about the rest of order she said she gave the other waitress her ticket, and come to find out she never put the rest of the food order in because she lost the ticket. This was the worst service I have ever had and I will not be coming back. The waitress had to ask us what we ordered to figure out or bill.
The chicken sandwich was just tenders on a bun with over melted dry cheese. Fries were cooked in old grease. I wanted french toast but I guess they dont serve breakfast at 1:30 a.m.
Ive never had any issues there with carry out.Dine in is a different story. It is hit or miss. Today, my waitress only visited my table to take my order, bring me my food, and bring my bill. Never asked if there was anything else I needed or refill my pop. Was very disappointed. She even walked by my table many times without stopping. She even sat down to take a break with a full section and no one to cover for her.
This was probably one of the WORST dining experiences we have had in a while. The waitress was probably high on something, there was no sense of urgency from any of the employees and our waitress dropped our food off and never checked on us. We had to ask someone else to get her, so we could get our bill; as she sat at a table 20 feet from us. The best part of our experience was my vegan burger. That’s the reason for 2 stars and not 1. Just not a good look at ALL for this restaurant. They need Gordon Ramsey ASAP! Not going back! 😡
Right when i walked in the nice lady had my order ready. she was so sweet with the ketchup and she gave me life advice 😂. definitely a 5 star experience.
It was disappointing, the waitress and cook were not wearing a mask covering their noses. The mask was only over their chin & mouth.
Servers are hit or miss, there’s always bugs flying around, and my omelette is severely undercooked every single time even when I order it well done. They’re the only place open so early or else I would never be back.
I live around the corner from this Leos and I never cook as a single man so I frequently order take out from many establishments. This Leos never gets it right. Ever. The food is usually old and the attitudes by the staff are tired. My food is never ready when it is supposed to be.
Ordered chicken nuggets and got food poisoning from either that or the thousand island dressing. Spent the night vomiting 😭

This leo’s is literally WILD. came in at 8 on a sunday and one waitress could barely handle her one table and the other waitress was serving 10 other tables by herself. i feel so bad for her, it’s HORRIBLE management.
Friendly, fast, hot and fresh all day and all night! I love that theyre 24/7 as I work midnights and not much else is open. The only thing I might nitpick is that how the menu items are prepared seem to vary depending on which cook is preparing the food. Its always good though, just not always consistent. Either way, great place, great food.😉
Great Salads for lunch! Greek Dressing is delicious. Best tuna salad ever! Staff is super helpful and friendly! If your looking for a quick, inexpensive meal - this is the place. Only one item that needs improvement - Tomatoes are either mushy or not ripe.

Food reasonably priced, the waitress was super chill, this establishment stays open 24/7, and he food was amazing. There were a lot of high young adults when I went nearing midnight, so if thats not your cup of tea, I dont recommend it late at night. We also waited a while for our food because the chef had to make a batch of gravy, but the food was worth the wait.
The waitstaff was more attentive to their phones reading reviews than to their customers. I didnt get a refill and had to flag down my server for a box. Service wasnt as good as it should have been if youre asking people to leave a review. I would still probably comeback but for takeout. The food comes out quick, their fries are always hot and crispy!
We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, it was a winning. The staff welcomed us with a smile and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We loved this restaurant a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.
The two-Coney meal was tasty, and service was fast - only two are three minutes after ordering, I had my food in front of me. Restaurant was very clean and the waitress was very nice.
Great group of gals, we go here everyday on our lunch break. They welcome a group of dirty construction workers they will welcome anyone good business
We ordered through Grub Hub and when it finally arrived, half of our order was missing and all of our order was cold. In Leos defense, they did refund for the missing items, immediately; however, we would have preferred to have a complete meal order. I suppose the takeaway from this experience would be to advise others to avoid ordering here within an hour of closing time. Grub Hub had difficulty finding our location (although very easy to locate).
Came with a few other people and we all enjoyed our food as well as the option they provided. It was later at night and the waitress was very kind and personable. We will definitely be back!
Typical coney but dirty. The place was EMPTY but it was difficult to find a clean table at 12am on a SUNDAY. Bathrooms were not very clean. Server was attentive,food was typical reheated processed food, but hey it was 12am on a Sunday night beggars cant be choosers! I had higher expectations for a location in Birmingham.
Good food for the most part. Quick service. Wait staff is terrible. Very rude all the time like they don’t want to be there. Actually heard them going over reviews today and they were complaining about them in front of customers. I don’t come as often as I used to because of them. There are 1 or 2 that are good but that’s it. I only gave 2 stars cuz the food is decent.
Story time: i asked for chicken tenders and they came out under cooked i took a bite and it was raw so i asked for my food to be taken back and cooked longer. THEY ADDED MY ALREADY EATEN CHICKEN TENDER BACK IN THE DEEP FRYER WITH EVERYONE ELSES FOOD. Also have had FOOD POISONING from them.
Enthusiastic and prompt service. Clean premises and pretty good conies. Would have given 5 if the shakes were made with ice cream. The conies were light and tasty. Also appreciated that the fries came unsalted.
I go here on a regular basis with my buddy. Its a great place to chill out eat some food and figure out what youre going to do next at midnight on a Wednesday night. could not be more satisfied with the way things are at this place. the food is generally good in the daytime but at night it tends to lack a little bit of quality, but thats not really what youre going for late at night in the middle of the week. keep it up!
Always friendly, fast service & fresh, made to order food. Their philly, cheese steak on steamed pita bread is slapping. The midnight cook during the week is the best & makes all his orders with love.
If you like hair in your food and lettuce that looks like it came out of a trash can this is the place for you. Then instead of being apologetic the owner tries to argue with you. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

As far as it goes, this coney island is pretty solid. Youve got the usual cuisine at a modest price, and a prime location, too. Great place to get lunch during a work break, or meet up later on with a friend. Theres always fresh coffee, the breakfast specials are good, and most importantly I sure hope this place stays around for a long time because many other places in the area cant hold a candle to the value of meals here. PS try their vegetable stir fry! Its an unconventional choice for a coney island but I was impressed.

I asked for a burger with bo tomatoes or pickles. I got exactly that and nothing else either. When someone orders food with certain things not on it dont just tell the cooks its plain just bc you dont want to remember. I was 1 out of 2 customers too so i dont understand the forgetfulness.

Amazing crisp fresh salads REAL grilled chicken! If I want a healthy meal, greasy meal, small or large meal they have it all the food is consitantly great, The service is always great the servers wear buttons dress for all holidays and always seem to be engaged in their job and I enjoy watching that and receiving service from a happy efficient server which is what I receive at this location been eating here several times a week for years and there open all night I’ve utilized that too!!
Every time I come here the girls are sitting down eating. Instead of at least standing up to approach a customer when they walk in they literally look at you walking in. The girl with the blue hair waved at me. Who waves at a customer in customer services! You should be standing up to approach a customer in a professional manner. Im very disappointed.And then when she took my order I didnt feel welcomed nor invited. Maybe she was having a bad day. But thats no way to treat the customer every time.
Worst lunch ever, I had a chicken wrap, not only taste was gross but it s still hurting my stomach. I didnt know a simple sandwich could be that harmful. My coworker also felt bad after lunch and another coworker said she got sick too once after ordering there. AVOID that place, especially if you have to work in the afternoon.
Do not eat here ever! Yesterday had corn beef and. Ff and the meat was thick like spam and fries were suppose to be well with cuz they tasted old! Today I ordered a breakfast two egg over hard hash well and bacon well! The toast was soggy and hash wasnt well eggs were cold! Alex the manager was horrible did not want to replace and said bring good back he wants to see to yell at cooks! When the high school kids are there horrible service a front want to argue with manager over food! Don not waste your money and time big mistake

We ate at Coney Island ( Birmingham) tonight and had Rachel as our server. She was awesome! She remembered my friend and I from our last outing. She was patient and attentive. We will be going back soon!

The food was perfect the atmosphere was excellent but the wait staff could have been more because there was only one waitress in there well it was too but there was only one working hard there was like eight nine customers and she almost couldnt handle it

I work in downtown Birmingham. I called on my break (6pm on a Thursday night), and was asked to hold briefly, said no problem. 5 minutes later no one has picked back up. I proceed to walk over there and there is one couple at a table, the rest of the place is empty. The only two employees were standing around talking to one another. Must’ve been pretty important to forget I had been on the phone for 5+ minutes at this point. Extremely unprofessional, and lacking common courtesy. Won’t be back soon.
Cusomer service was horrible. Waitress spilled an entire tray of beverages. Instead of sending someone else to take our order she redid the order, took the table of 6, and finally, after 10 minutes, came to us, trying to explain how she never spills unless there are a lot of people around. When we said we were in a hurry she became nasty. We told her we were leaving and her response was, good.

Heather was extremely attentive, and very attention to detail oriented. Made sure all of the orders came out hot and correct. Never had a better experience at a 24 hr establishment.
Very good all day breakfast place. Its small so not easily noticeable in moving traffic. Decor is simple just like any other Coney island. But its in Birmingham downtown and open 24hrs so if youre looking for midnight snack, or awaken early hours hungry like me, this is a good place to go. Parking is street parking.
I’m definitely not one to expect fine dining or five Star service at a Coney but I would hope to get cooked food. My chicken was completely raw, sent back to only receive a substitute chicken dish with a side of arm hair from one of the cook. When brought to the waitresses attention she was very nice and apologetic, went to the cook that goes by “slim” asked for a void, he said he can’t do it which seemed like a lie because she was practically begging him to. the poor waitress had to turn to the bus boy/man and asked to call the owner to void a dish, at which point an argument ensued between the Cook, waitress and bus boy. Then the cook kept staring at me as if I was at fault for raw chicken or someone’s arm hair in my food which I pulled out of my mouth disgustingly. After all this, I was still presented with a bill. Pathetic.
Our waitress was very rude and did not great us or say 1 word to us for that matter. She did not ask me what kind of bread I would like with my omelette and just brought me out white bread. The restraint was dirty and unorganized. I will not be coming back.
I dont know what the food taste like, because the service was Shitt-y .after waiting 30 min for our order. The waitress brought the fries out laying on her shirt. After requesting new fries she informed me that the Next order would most likely come out the same way. So we paid for our sodas and left.

It seemed that Leos didnt plan on being busy during the Dream Cruise. Service was slow and food was just acceptable. Come to think of it, that pretty much describes the experience at Leos anytime.
My experience was the average dining experience when dealing with a coney island. My experience took a turn for the worse when I order the chicken lemon rice soup and found a piece of blue plastic in the middle of my soup. I reported it to the manger Amy but I am grossed out to say the least very unsanitary!!

Today I ordered carry out from this location I clearly told mcKayla twice and clearly which dressing I wanted which is the only dressing I can eat. When I got home they had put the wrong dressing I called them instead of offering for me to pick it up or trying to make me feel like she cared that she made a mistake. Even when I asked her if it was her job to make sure what I ordered was what I was getting she said yea oops I didnt do that. I work in retail and I know that is not how you keep a job. I will never order from here again sorry

I came in late on a Saturday night. I was taken care of by Rachael and she was perfect. I live near by and come in frequently. It’s good to see a familiar face serve us when we come in. And she always remembers our favorites.
I sat down, I wanted 10 min. The two servers were whining about tables the entire time. I walked out. Never asked even what I wanted to drink. Avoid this place like the plague, until they get new servers. Ill never go back.
Ordered a fruit cup and received frozen fruit. As any reasonable person would want fresh fruit, I informed the manager. They refused to take it off the bill.
Nice staff. How my partner and I really connected at 2am as he stuffed a burger in a wrapper then in his coat not to be seen till the next morning.Also nice hot chocolate

We had a meal at Leo’s Birmingham tonight. Rachel was our Server, she Is the Best.She suggested extra things we hadn’t thought of and made the meal better than one would expect at a typical coney.I would say Rachel deserves All the stars, she is a star.

I went here at 11:00PM since its one of the few places to eat late night. The food was okay, as was the service. Nothing amazing, but for impulse eating after a night of drinking, this place hits the spot.
Theres no place to park, because of Birmingham, not their fault, there was only two people in the restaurant. I had ordered my order before I got there hoping it would be ready and still had to wait 20 minutes.
Best Greek salad in the area because if the dressing. Other coney and American fare too. Breakfast day or night. But it can get really loud at times with families or teen groups.

Fun staff,great food,Everything you would expect from a Coney Island! Love the chicken finger pita, salads are always have crisp fresh ingredients and the chicken is not prossesed its real char grilled chicken which is not something I find at other coney islands.
Me and my daughter met here for lunch today my daughter grubhubs in the area and suggested we come to this Coney island where we were really mistreated by the waitress the waitress was very rude and unprofessional she sat down at the table across from us sat down and took our order and was very rude to my black daughter which was very prejudice and the worst experience I ever had taking my daughter out to eat especially in the suburbs in Birmingham supposedly a nice area and my daughter didnt even want to eat we didnt even wait to get our food served she felt so uncomfortable and mistreated there she was ready to leave we didnt drink our drinks or anything the waitress was really rude to my daughter and very unprofessional and she is prejudiced and its sad we deal with enough in this world and its sickening that you cant go down and sit and have a meal with your family without dealing with ignorance from the people that are supposed to be nice and kind to you because they work there
Great for a late night meal. Its open 365, 24/7. Has decent Coneys, great Greek salads and always grab some cheese sticks. Its not the cleanest but its a Coney Island.
Good variety of quality Coney island cuisine. Among my family, we enjoyed Coney dogs, chili cheese fries, Greek salad, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, etc.

Twice in a row when I DoorDashed my order from here I haven’t received any ranch for my chicken finger pita. Without any sauce for my pita it’s a dry, relatively flavorless sandwich. Frustrating.
I have patronized other Leo locations as well as other competitor coney islands, and have found that the leo birmingham location puts out a superior food product as to all others. Also, the leo employee whose primary responsibility it is to handle the phone and greet the customers at the cashier desk, particularly during the lunch rush hour when I always seem to be there, is exceptional in her skills and work ethic, and always greets the customers with a smile, a friendly voice, and desire to meet the customers needs. I have not seen that type dedication of an employee in the coney island setting at any other location I have been to. Kudos to her for excelling at her job.

The staff was cherry and the atmosphere was a nice beld of people, not to mention the resturant was very clean, there are parking meters to park nearby and its a good area to walk in as well.

Lets be honest. We know why we go to Coney Islands, not for gourmet food or ambiance, but good, cheap food fast, at all hours of the night. And sometimes, a coney dog or 5.This restaraunt is exactly what you expect from a Coney Island restaraunt in Detroit. Cheap (but good) hot dogs/chili dogs, a selection of greek food, and the occasional conflagration of cheese, where you always wonder how the neophyte waitstaff who just lit it isnt in the burn ward yet.Its not outstanding, but its good. I eat lunch here nearly daily and rarely have a bad experience.
I go here once in awhile, the waitresses kind of suck, but the cooks make pretty epic burgers. Expect to spend a half an hour here minimum.

Good burgers & fries. I order the Leos cheese burger.- Its as big as the whopper was in the 70s, but with real meat. With fries, its less than $8.
I come here multiple days a week for lunch carry-out. Friendly staff and quick service. Get the grilled chicken greek!

The place is a nice setting to hang out with friends but unfortunately both times i went we had a bad server that gave us a lot of attitude and kept telling us to not forget to tip due to previous misunderstandings.

2021-10-16This place was the bomb. We got in late from the airport. Needed food found them awesome prices, service was excellent all 3 times we went there in 2 days. 4 of us eat full meals for around 25 - 30 dollars. Recommend highly.

2022-06-29I came in about 630 pm and there were 5 waitresses. We waited 15 minutes with no service. I finally stopped one waitress and she said she would grab me someone. I waited another 10 minutes and watched 1 waitress chat with her friends and another stand around. Still no service. One waitress walked by 4 times and didnt even say hello. DISGRACEFUL SERVICE

2022-05-06Me and my family went here for a quick meal. And the servers were goofing around with other customers instead of checking on us to see if we needed anything else. Also, the food wasn’t that great but it’s a coney so what do you expect? We ended up ordering dessert, and we were waiting 10 mins for a fork. How ridiculous!!

2022-05-31We orderes 14:15 , only recieved our food 14:50 .I understand being the only waitress in , but there was multiple other staff hanging around , not jumping in to help as the waitress juggled between 4 big groups of clients , and a couple other clients.The experience was disappointing for the reason being , there was not enough staff members to accommodate the ammount of people who was there.The food was in excess of great , and appretiate the patience of the waitress , but will surely not visit there again soon.

2022-04-06Fries taste like cardboard, gyro bread was hard like I was chewing plastic rubber band just imagine McDonald’s chicken nuggets tastes better, everything was salty and silverware was dirty, it was the worst decision to eat there late night, the only thing was ok it’s the chicken wings. Everything else was terrible!

2022-07-04We were waiting a long time and asked if the waitress would be over soon. She continued talking with other employees and never came to take our order. After 15 minutes of watching her talk to other employees and walk by the table 4 times, we walked out and went somewhere else.

2022-06-05Leos needs to better staff its location, and pay the employees more. Youve got 100 customers Thurs through Sat and you put 5-6 employees on the shift. I feel bad for the workers.

2022-06-30If you order carry out, make sure you check everything as there is always something wrong or missing. When I asked about a missing item and a wrong item recently, I received a rude and unprofessional response from one of the servers that clearly has not been properly trained.

2022-05-13I wish I could give Freaking zero star. I went to several times and I found their cashiers are stupid and very arrogant. I had to wait always more than any other shops and they seems never to be apologized.
