Ineffective communication of the repair price from service rep cost us to pay 10X the amount of what we originally thought. Dealer offered no compensation for the miscommunication or any other method to make amends. Customer service has deteriorated over the years, will never go back for any service or future vehicle purchases.
I inquired about buying a car that was listed as in transit with stock photos on the website. The salesman stated it was not presold but would not take a deposit on the vehicle because I was not local. I am from Illinois. Then they tell me they will call as soon as it hits the lot. I check out their website a few days later and notice there are now pictures of the vehicle on the lot. So I call again to see if it is still available. Now i am told the dealership owner is driving it and it is not for sale. So you took time to take photos for your website of a car that wasnt for sale? Crazy times we are living in i tell ya......LOL. Thanks for wasting my time and yours.
Went in for an oil change and my car was returned to me without an inspection and with a check engine light on. There was no attempt to upsell or to see if a Diag was wanted. And without an inspection I dont know if fluid levels, battery, tires and the rest was checked
Really nice GM dealership. Im always greeted by a salesman right away if Im stopped checking out a ride but if Im just browsing. Almost like they can read my mind. Really good inventory of new and used GM vehicles. I like that they have High Country and LS models so you can see what the difference in options actually looks like. Service department is very knowledgeable about the vehicles they service and have actually been willing to tell me some tips along with dos and donts when I am struggling with a project for myself. I can order GM parts from here and they are delivered very fast. When my Tahoe was stolen I brought them my title, registration and drivers license. LeValley was able to use my VIN number to make me a replacement key. This saved me a large amount of money not having to call a locksmith or to have it towed somewhere to get it repaired. These Chevy full-size four wheel drive look so good lifted. The ride quality is far superior to any other manufacturer I have rode in and the power plants in these vehicles out perform the competition as well. Great service, superior vehicles for individual needs, and friendly staff that is helpful as well as knowledgeable.
Ralph was patient and professional. He provided fast service with changing my lightbulb. I also didn’t know about your drive thru service before which worked out perfect. My headlight has been out for months! As a Covid nurse working 12-16 hours a day, I just could not commit and keep a service appointment.
My third brake light on my GMC Sierra pickup was leaking and I called lavalley Chevrolet and they kept put me off itd be one week then 2 weeks I call Louie Dominion they got me in right away at a decent price and I just want to say thanks I recommend Louie to anyone Louie Dominion Chevrolet
My salesman, James Dudley definitely went above and beyond to put me into the car I wanted. He was able to put me into the price point I needed and even arranged to swap the tires I had just purchased onto the new car. I will definitely recommend James and LeValley for a car purchase
I love LeValley. I leased a beautiful car through them that I intend on purchasing soon. These guys are great. I mostly deal with the Service Department for all my maintenance needs on my beautiful 2015 Green Dragon Metallic Chevy Sonic. I ran over a SKUNK before an oil change and honestly didnt know it and the mechanics cleaned my wheel well. I brought him a Cold Beverage for doing it. I was a bit embarrassed but they were great!! They are Awesome. If you find a perfect person anywhere let me know but these guys are pretty close to it.
Scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago at literally the first available date. Drove in. They told me they couldnt work on my car because theyre not certified. Fair enough.Just for the love of god, why did nobody call me or let me know? Now Im going to have to wait another 3 weeks to even get my car into the shop somewhere else, and they couldnt even tell me who was certified to do any of the work at all. Complete waste of time, and added so much headache to this saga.
Weve owned our vehicle for 3+ years. Purchased new from LeValley. All service work has been done at LeValley. I almost always work with Ralf, and recently have worked with Jaime too. I am so impressed at the level of service, communication, and customer interaction. The experience is always a positive one, and I greatly appreciate the constant communication and updates during the service work.
Very nice to work with. Took care of problems with truck when on a trip. Only problem was after I left saw voltage gage start to drop again. Called another Chevy dealer and they talked me through it and said this was normal!! Said I probably only need a new battery after I explained my situation,,not a battery and alternator. Wish I had taken my old alternator and had it tested. Selling parts I really didnt need?
Everything was great- always efficient, friendly, willing to explain. The only problem is that I asked for my clock to be reset to Daylight Savings time and this wasnt done. I didnt have time to go back to ask to have it done. It is an inconvenience thats all. I can probably figure out how to do it, but that might not happen until April LOL.
Recently purchased a certified GMC Sierra 1500 Denali from Levalley Chevrolet and the experience went super smooth. I live about 4.5 hours from the dealer and did the majority of the purchase process over the phone and through email and my sales agent Terry Fritz was super helpful throughout the entire process. He was able to accommodate all my request, sending me extra videos and photos of the vehicle. He did everything he could to make sure I knew the exact condition the vehicle was in before I made the drive down to pick it up and it was exactly as he described it. I would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for a good used car buy experience. I was not disappointed. it’s approximately 2 months since I bought it and the truck is absolutely perfect.
I am extremely impressed with the service team at Levalley Chevy Buick GMC. I was travelling and had a 3 hour drive to get home when my 2008 Avalanche had an oil pressure issue. I dropped it off over night and feared that I would be stuck for a few days. I called first thing when they opened and they referred me to Tom in the service area.Tom responded immediately to do his best to slide me in early to get the truck fixed. I was back on the road early in the afternoon with a smile on my face.THANK YOU, Levalley Chevy. You guys are very much appreciated!
We had superb service. Ralf Quintero went over and above to make our vacation happen when we had car problems. He kept us well informed of the progress on our car daily. He made our vacation happen.India Greer was also very accommodating. She took us to St. Joseph for a tour of the city and suggested places to eat and things to do while the car was being worked on. If we lived in the area, you would definitely be our go to dealership. We can’t thank you enough.
The only complaint was there was no communication. I took my car in at 8am and was told I would get a call..... nothing. I finally called at 330pm and no one knew anything but it was being worked on and was told I would get a call back....... nothing. Finally called again at 6pm and was told oh its done. But the service engine came right back on the next morning. So now I have to schedule another time and that is more than 2 weeks away.
From my initial phone call, inquiring about a vehicle, to driving it off the lot, the experience I had was stellar. John Pleyer and Jim Dudley, along with the gentleman who reviewed paperwork with me, were friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. This is definitely the dealership I will return to for any future purchase! I love my new Acadia!!
I had a great experience working with Jim Dudley at Levalley! He made this whole process very smooth going. Being 2.5 hours away we did a lot of communication over the phone and I was so pleased with his professionalism & willingness to help keep things rolling/answer all my questions. Im very happy with my Jeep wrangler. Thanks Jim!! 😁
They helped me when I didnt know what else to do. Jim Jackson was on it from the very start of me calling. He even came and picked me up. He said he was going to try to get me into something and sure enough he made it happen. They really make u feel like ur part of the family. Great customer service!!
Jim Dudley was great to work with! His patience was key while I made up my mind without the pressure that i have experienced at other places. He was thorough and explained things clearly. I am still loving my truck and glad he was the one that helped me find the right one. I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone. Everything seemed clear and up front. Great transaction!
Wow... what AMAZING service. Better than my Audi dealer I just bought from last week. Was traveling from Detroit to Chicago and car blew a turbo line. They got me on the lift within minutes, talked with me while I limped the car there and gave me contact for a tow if needed. They unlocked their waiting area which was supposed to be closed. Maybe 6 people came to check in on me while I waited and I even got the TV remotes! They got the car repaired very quick. I’m truly surprised and impressed by the service here. I’ve worked at a dealer, bought many cars from dealers, and therefore experienced many different dealers. The service here is by far the best.
Joe or terry dont care about their customers dont buy a car here usless it is a chevy they will not works on other models especially ford and I even purchased it there, I had to go to Ford for all my maintenance ect. My car had known issues and they lied to me about it when they sold it to me jordan ford found so many things wrong and most was covered with my gm warranty they sold me.
Problem still isn’t fixed. Dropped off the car at 10am on Wednesday - had an appointment. I had to call at 5pm on Thursday, seeing I was told it would be done the next day. Told when I called that it would be done by 7pm when you closed, so I took my rental car back. Got a ride from your dealership (thank you ). As for my car - still not fixed. So I now am out 2 days for a rental car, 4 hours of time going back and forth to the dealership, and I still have a car with inoperable safety equipment.
If you have the option to work with Jim Jackson in sales, DO IT.I certainly presented this man with a tough case. No credit, 24 years old, i just barely qualified to be on a loan by myself but him and Paul worked TIRELESSLY to put me in a great vehicle....and it is more than i could have ever asked for.Jim is fantastic. He is completely personable. Family man. So if youre Going to shop at Levalley, ask for Jim Jackson.Being someone who deals with chronic anxiety, this was a terrifying thing for me to do alone but he kept me assured the entire time that i was not doing it alone and he explained every step of the way.Thank you Jim and Paul!!! You guys are truly meant to be doing this job!!
Brought my vehicle in because the check engine light was on. They found cylinder 1 was misfiring and said it needed a new coil pack. Given the work involved, they went ahead and did a tune-up and I requested an oil change as well. Got the vehicle back and hit the road out of town only for it to flash Service Tire Monitor System no more than 10 minutes into the trip. I checked all of the tires and aired them up accordingly. The next day the check engine light came on AGAIN. I called the dealership and let them know I needed to bring it in once I got home and expressed my dissatisfaction. I did not get a response from the service rep at all.
Had a wonderful experience at Le Valley! Was browsing the lot looking for a nice SUV for my wife to commute to and from college with. Jim Dudley came out to us in the lot and showed us a few different models and we settled on a 2016 Jeep that was used. Jim Helped us with getting it set up as it was only our second time buying from a dealership. He answered all of our questions and was willing to work around my busy schedule to do paperwork. Jim was extremely helpful and will definitely be who I buy my next vehicle from. Our experience after the sale was wonderful too, Jim has checked in a few times to make sure we are still in love with our Jeep. Thanks Jim!
Brought Chevy Colorado in for a 2000 mile check up after a transmission flush, for transmission shuddering. The 2000 mile check up was recommended by service tech. All that was performed was a driving check of the vehicle. I was told to keep and eye on the vehicle and see if the transmission shuddering returned, if so to notify the service tech and they would go from there what would be done on the vehicle
From start to finish, I felt that my needs were fully addressed and given the attention needed! My salesperson, James(Jim) Dudley, somehow, understood the many cares & apprehensionsthat I had! His insightfulness made the experience both productive and affordable! In addition, the emails that I received regarding existing sales and promotions proved to be a welcome mat when I arrived at LeValley Chevrolet, here in Benton Harbor, Michigan!
The dealership has always stepped up to the plate from the purchase of our vehicles to the servicing of them. The service dept is top notch and the Service Manager (Joe) is exceptional. He Has always taken care of our vehicles in a prompt and efficient manner. Keep up the good work. Thanks
I took my truck in there to get the trailer brake fixed and they fixed that. In the process they managed to buckle my hood at the hinge. When I brought it to their attention they said that they looked on their video and there was already a gap in my hood. They said they would pay 50% of the repairs and I feel that’s unacceptable. Now my hood won’t close properly the hinge collapses into the hood and just folds the hood. My opinion of that the mechanic left something on the battery and closed the hood on it crushing the hinge into it. I will never do business with them again now will I ever recommend them to anyone.
I purchased a used vehicle in September. I should have been concerned with the sale after they tried to sell it to me with a broken tail light, which I absolutely refused to buy a car over 20k with a broken tail light, they ended up fixing it. Within a month of purchasing it I had to spend $1,000 on new motor mounts and a tune up. After that they told me that there may be engine problems. I took it back in recently and the cam is bad and my estimated repair is upwards of $3,500. I am so disappointed in this purchase. I wouldn’t trust them, if you are buying a car here take it somewhere else to get checked and get an honest opinion.**Update** The full repairs came out to $5,900.00 within 4 months of purchase. The cam was bad, the exhaust manifold was bad, the ac was leaking, the engine mounts were bad, spark plugs were bad. I absolutely plan to contact BBB.
Jim Dudley is the guy to go to!! He did almost everything over the phone and internet and I just had to come in there to sign and pick up my vehicle. It was the smoothest experience ever. The finance guy helped too and I got a great deal. The staff there are very friendly, helpful, and caring! I would also recommend the service department I have gone there in the past and will continue to do so. They are very professional and honest! 5 stars for sure!!
This is the fourth car we have bought from Levalley Chev. and Chuck. We had just brought in our 2015 Equinox for service. My wife said Go see Chuck and see what we can get a Traverse for. Remembering what we liked he said I have just the vehicle for you. BINGO and he brought out this beautiful Maroon Transverse! To say we fell in love is barely enough! It was time for a NEW ride and we just found it! Very comfortable! Just right at the best dealership and a salesman we trust! And of course the best vehicle ..... a Chevrolet! Thanks for another great car! Dr. Smith
After buying my 2017 Malibu from LeValley I immediately made a post to FaceBook the day of buying the car. See below.Thank you D.C. (my son) for lending us your car for a few weeks because our 2010 Malibu was broke down and need serious repairs. Thank you Harold Shelton, car dealer at LeValley, for having a heart and going to bat for me for a safer and more dependable car. Thank you LeValley Staff for knowing who I was when I walked in the door and greeted me with loving kindness every time (even when I was stressed.) You all have made my Medical Miracle Journey just that much more easier. Dealing with cancer is hard enough alone without having the headache of no dependable transportation to get to and from my medical appointments nearly 2 1/2 hours away. Most importantly, thank you Lord for NEVER LEAVING OR FORSAKING ME and leading me to LeValley to get a brand new car.Truly Grateful,Shyreece Pompey
Great dealership. I had the easiest buying experience with zero hassle. I knew I was being taken care of well and not just pushed to buy something to make them a lot of money. The people really care. A few days after I’d bought my car, the salesman called to check how everything was going.......... what?! Never had a car place do that. Talk about GREAT customer service. Highly recommend.
I came into make an appointment to have my 2016 Malibu A/C looked at. The service associate made my appointment within the next 48 hours. My issue were fixed and I was called when complete. I could not make it to the dealership before it closed so my keys were hidden and left for my arrival for pick up. The whole process was seamless and efficient.
Had to come back twice for sunroof drain issues. First time fixed one side, second time (3 weeks later) had it back for opposite side drain tube. Just check and fix all sides before you put it back together. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be more thorough when you had it all apart the first time. Unless it’s more economical, then I suppose I understand, but very disheartened. My time and money is never in excess (even though it’s under warranty), a job not done right the first time is just a domino effect of waste. Everyone was friendly and nice which is sometimes rare these days, which made the circumstances easier. Courtesy cars are a wonderful courtesy, but not always available.
I bought my car here less than two years ago. the check engine light came on and then the car wouldnt start, i live 35 minutes away so i got it towed to a local mechanic to figure out the issue turns out i needed a new engine. After just over a year of having the car. i have gotten all maintenance done at Levalley. i call then to find out if i am still under warranty and i tell them the millage and what is wrong they tell me yes its under warranty. I tow my car there for 118$ I never here from them after that, I call later in the day to figure out if that was the issue and am told they havent looked at it yet but bad news they lied and it is not under warranty but if i need a new engine it wont cost 5000$ which is what the first place told me. So i towed my car here because they said it was covered turns out its not. They will call me when they look at my car the next day. well come 5pm the next day i still have yet to hear from them. I call, I am told yes it need a new engine the guy from finance will call me. so i went from fixing my car to buying a new one? Never told a price or exactly what it was wrong in my engine. They want me to look at a NEW car i thought for a lease. I go the next day to look at it and am told not a lease to buy it for 40000k i am 7 months pregnant i dont want a new car but they are making me feel i have no option. I tell him i will let him know. I call the service department to find out what im looking at to put a new engine in my car since she told me it shouldnt be more than 5000 im thinking thats the better option. She has to call me back. an hour later she calls and says 6400 for a rebuilt engine with a 90 day warranty. im shocked i dont have that money so i go back to buying the car and later on call to tell him yes. He sold the car but has another option he is suppose to call me back. I never here from him. I email him later to find out what is going on and he emails back 4 hours later saying he sold that car, but has more options now. I never respond im fed up with the lack of communication. I only got my car towed there because it was suppose to be under warranty and they lied about that and they NEVER have called me to tell me anything about my car or the ones they want me to buy. i decide that im going back to where my business is appreciated and getting it towed back to the first mechanic where it was only 4900 and a 1 year warranty on the engine. Well they charge me another 139$ just to tell me it was my engine. so i now have wasted almost 400$ for no reason because the only reason they had my car was because it was under warranty which happened to not be true. Very horrible customer service through this week long experience.
Made 3 visits from Kalamazoo MI to this dealership. Was told the first time to wait for 20 min. I waited an hour and had to just leave. Then I emailed the dealership letting them know my experience and a guy named Terry Fritz got with me and set up 2 times for me to come in for appraisals. What a waste of time and gas. Was told that everything would be done to get me in the desired vehicle. All to be told after repeated calls and texts from me that I would need a large amount of money down. I dont feel they worked for me as they said they would. Do not recommend this dealer to anyone looking. Was told I could speak with a manager today, and this was the final straw when i didnt receive a call, email or any form of contact. Horrible customer service experiment. To the owner/manager, Terry Fritz still has my info. You can give me a call if this is something you are interested in fixing.
Great people..Neil was fantastic!! Thank you so much for making this a smooth go. Will recommend to friends and family! I love my new car!!! Fantastic staff!I had to update this...Neil one if the salesman called me on my birthday to wish me Happy Birthday!!! So nice!! Made my morning!! Thank you Neil! ...great doing business with you and the staff.
Aaron Butch, walked me thru my trade and purchase. Made sure that I got me into the best possible fit for me. I got more than I was offered at other Chevy dealerships. He was very patient and accommodating. I went from a 2013 Chevy equinox with over 132,000 to 2016 Jeep Cherokee sport with 32,000 with heated seats, steering wheel, remote star the works. This was so stress free and I had no questions in my mind that I got the best deal. Ask for him when your ready to upgrade.
This is not coming from a disgruntled former employee. I just want you all aware of what you are dealing with when doing business with LeValley. I was a former Sales Manager and left Monday 07/08. Went today to pick up my final checks, they screwed me out of 1/2 of percent my final weekly check and vacation pay. They also took advantage of my pay for a year and three months. I made the same money detailing cars many years ago. I never called off work and stayed late when no one else wanted to. I had the opportunity to better my family and myself so I took it and this is how they decided to treat me. If this is who you choose to do business with, just remember how they treated someone who gave them their all. I would suggest to find another dealership to spend your hard earned money, someone who will truly appreciate you!
My experience at Levally Chevrolet Buick GMC was extremely extraordinary. I had the most helpful, kind salesman by the name Jim Dudley I went in not knowing if I would be walking out with a new car but, I tried anyway. Jim not only guaranteed me that he would do his best but, I had a 2015 Chevy impala that I still had a loan on so I got that paid off and still had some money left over to put on the new car. I never had a brand new car with 0 miles on it. Jim said we’ll do you know which one you are interested in? I was so happy I got a 2020 Chevy Equinox and I am very pleased with my purchase. So if anyone is looking to buy a vehicle please go see Jim Dudley he will make sure your satisfied and he will get you in what your heart desires. Thanks again Jim Dudley!
Going for an oil change is not just an oil change. It gives me an opportunity to see those at the dealership who value and appreciate me as a person and a customer. Its always great to see Brad and Mark in sales as well as Joe, Ralph and Mark in the service department. Thank you for providing both an excellent sales experience and service experience!Sincerely,Steve-0 Heyn
I recently looked at a 2020 used vehicle at LeValley. Even though I didnt end up purchasing it, I wanted to give a big shout out to Jim Dudley ! He was a super nice guy and was completely familiar with the suv he was showing me. I would highly recommend working with him for your car purchases !!!
Found a truck I liked, we set up a meeting time to check it out because I live an hour ish away. When I showed up in the morning, they advised me that the truck had sold a week prior... terrible organization skills and huge lack of communication cost me 2.5 hours of my life Ill never get back. Not to mention gas in my diesel truck. I wouldnt do business here if I were you.
Ralf in service was great! He communicates wonderfully and gives you the feel is on your team! Mark in sales knows his products and is excellent at helping the customer narrow down their wants & needs! Jason in finance has a great attitude and in no time we felt like we had known him for years! He made the stressful part of buying a car so easy, and smooth! As a team they are AWESOME! Keep up the great work!!! THANK YOU!
Purchase my truck from Levalley Chevrolet Buick Gmc. (About 5 months ago)Jim Dudley was my salesmen. I would definitely recommend him, he was very nice, attentive and non pushy which I like that the best.He even called me on my birthday to say happy birthday. No one has ever done that before !Ask for Jim you will not be disappointed!!
I had a 1;30 appointment 11-4-20 arrived about 1;15,ser vice took my truck in right away for oil change and warranty checks. . it took less that 30 minutes did not have time to finish my coffee .I have been to other deaalership for same type of service and had over a hour wait time.
Great service, I stopped in to get a battery for my fob and ended up getting an oil change. Very courteous employees. Joe Frey was the technician he reassured me that the fob would work. I had trouble starting my car because the battery in the fob wasnt working. He also went out of his way to get my car washed.
I know that I will be treated with respect and my car will be well cared for. I dont mind driving from Grand Rapids to Benton Harbor for superior service. Ralf is a great service representative and he is all about meeting the needs of customers. Thank you LeValley for always putting your customers first!
My experience this time was no different then the hundreds I have had over many many years doing business with Levalley Chevrolet-Buick-GMC. Their customer service is absolutely second to none!!! It always has been and it always will be! I have basically been a life long customer of Levalleys and I will continue to be!
This review has 4 stars because of the service manager and Howard. Or initial salesperson was trying to talk us out of buying a car, but Howard and the service manager helped us finish up the process. Due to how the sale started, I normally would have given a lower review, but these guys really did try to correct the problem as much as possible. For the car we bought, we felt it was a pretty fair price and Howard was really flexible with our work schedule and knowledgeable.I do have a neighbor who was a mechanic there and our neighbor doesnt speak highly of the owners son. He has also advised that you can get work done a much more fair price if you go to a local mechanic instead. Depending on warranties, this may or may not be an option for some customers and something to consider when buying from here.
My experience here was the longest process in my life to get my vehicle serviced. The service center actually tried on multiple occasions to call me a liar. The employee and even the manager were very rude and defensive from the start. I told them of issues I may have with the vehicle but stated I only wanted my vehicle starting issue and a vac line or emmison line leak to clear my check engine light. They kept my vehicle for a full day 8am till 5pm on a Friday. They proceeded to call me at 330 on a friday and again at 430 then told me they couldnt get to my vehicle till monday. I had my sons and my gf was at work so I had no way to get there before 5 to pick up my vehicle. I had to get it saturday and then they called me on monday and said Tuesday so Tuesday morning I was on my way to drop my vehicle off and they called to say the parts never came and to reschedule the already rescheduled date. They said they would call me. Never did. I had to call back and then was told it would be done next Thursday. I replaced my battery(per their requst due to their tests performed) and took my old battery in for the core. They tested it and it was still at 90%. So my vehicle is still having the starting issues and they over charged me for my emission line they replaced. I was originally told around 400. I paid 120 for the diagnostic and then was told 250 was due when I come to get my truck. When I got there they said it was 355 total due. On top of all this the manager seemed to belittle me for owning a used vehicle and stated that since its not the battery now they can do trial and error down the line and basically replace every part until the vehicle is running. Ppl take their vehicles to dealerships knowing they are going to spend more then a regular shop but expect quality work and proper diagnosis due to them being a dealership. I now have to have the proper work done on my steering column that was supossed to be done at Levalley. I am out 7 days of work and around 1000 bucks with a vehicle that has the same issues as before I came here. Bad experience across the board!!!!!Edit. This is in response to the owners reply. While you look into this issue I have now been out of work for two weeks due to this issue. Your employees told me the problem was my battery and I told them it had to do with the factory alarm and the anti theft mechanics. I couldnt miss work anymore and sit and wait for your manager to call me back(he said he would call on Wednesday oct 23rd and never did) so I had to not only pay for the work performed here at levalley(to which my vehicle still was having the same issues and my check engine light is still on) but now I had to pay to have my vehicle towed twice on last Wednesday (the day your manager was supossed to call) to a shop and pay them 650 to fix the same issues I was having from the beginning. I still have the rattling and loud noise occurring by my front wheel well on the drivers side and your employee told me that was caused by my leaking emissions line and that was fixed yet the same problem persists. So now I have paid two shop and all of the issues are still not fixed not to mention paying for 2 tows and the loss of work. My vehicle Is how i get materials for my jobs so I dont have the luxury of sitting and waiting when I was supossed to recieve a call last Wednesday. Also I have heard of companies using their customer calls for traing purposes but since when do they use the phone recording to try and investigate a customers complaints? Its like automatically the manager went on the defensive and was using detective esque tactics to question the validity of my complaint almost instantly. He mentioned he had to listen to the recordings and get back to me. I have no issue with that because I know what was said to me on the phone and in person but I have never heard of a company having these recordings readily available to the manager on site to use against or try to use against customers. Thats when I knew my voice wasnt going to be heard and I had to take this unfortunate step
I have 2 reviews to post. This is for the service department. I took my leased Encore for free oil change. I was offered transportation while I waited which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. They drove me over to BK and picked me back up when I ready. My car was ready to go, I paid for an engine additive that I requested and was on my way. Thanks!
This is my second time interacting with the service department and it was a complete 180 before I did not receive the best service but this time I had wonderful service employees were very friendly and helpful they changed my oil and rotated my tires and got me in and out without wasting any time I would recommend coming here! And will come back again
I purchased a used F250 this spring from you guys and it was a pleasure working with you guys. Mr Dudley was my salesman , he was a true professional and a great person, well Knowledged , listened to what I was looking for. I would definitely buy another vehicle from you guys.
First of all, I had to do a trade in for a vehicle that had a couple minor problems on the outside. Trade in value was only $250! For a vehicle with low miles and only minor issues! Second of all it’s been a complete run around for two months because I was approved then later told me I was denied. First approval was payments in the $300 range for a 48 month term. Since I was denied later I had to come back and go through another lender. This lender I was told was for the same price range (possibly a $10-15 difference). I was told not to worry and wait for the paperwork to arrive in the mail. Weeks later I get it and it is DOUBLE THE ORIGINAL PRICE! I TOLD THEM ORIGINALLY MY PRICE RANGE WAS 300-400 DOLLARS. Now Jeff Gleason says there’s nothing he can do. I can’t get into a cheaper vehicle, can’t get my vehicle back, nor my down payment of $4,000. So not only will I be out of a vehicle, but $4,000 went out the window! What a joke! Never go here if you are not rich.
We were driving on the highway to visit our daughter in Chicago. All of a sudden the sunroof over the front shatter and some of the glass came down on us. Onstar to us to go to your dealership. When we got there we met Ralf Quintero. He was so nice to us. He told us that they dont have the sunroof in stock. He ordered it and it had to come from Quebec, Canada. He got it sent express as it had to go through customs. He told us it would they may take 2 days. We hoped that we would get the vehicle back on Monday. Ralf told us that he would have the car cleaned and vacuumed Monday morning just waiting to put the new sun roof in. He also got us a rental vehicle to continue our trip. He also investigated to get the part covered under warranty. He was so helpful. He got the gentleman to drive us to the airport to pick up the rental vehicle and he also helped us put our baggage in the rental. We were going home on Monday and if the vehicle was not done we would stay the night there so we could pick up our vehicle and go home. The same gentleman (sorry I wished I had his name) came to pick up us again at the airport to take us back to the car dealership. Can you imagine that Ralf got the part on Monday and had the car done by Monday afternoon and we were on our way home. He went above and beyond for us. We will forever be grateful to him. Thank you Ralf.
Jim Dudley made my first purchase of a vehicle a breeze! Not only did he spend countless hours helping me find the right car, but he always had a smile on his face while doing it. I definitely recommend going to LeValley and seeing Jim if you are looking to purchase a car!
My employer bought the service van that I drive for work from levalley Chevrolet a few years ago. We have always taken the van back to them for any maintenance or service. We took it in for a couple of minor items and they quoted us tires as well. The price on the tires was competitive so I said to go ahead with that. Unfortunately the tires that were supposed to be installed first thing next morning cost another day of time out of service for my van, because rather than delivering those tires on that morning it was not until the next day before they were done. That by itself would have been manageable but I felt like I was being played along because they kept working me through the day thinking Ill be ready in a couple of hours instead of simply telling me to plan and wait for the next day.
Recently purchased a used Ford Edge from LeValley. Tim, our salesman, was very polite along with the rest of his team. We drove away happy. The car was great but we did have a dead battery just a few days after. We learned the battery was bad and since we were not local to this dealer, they reimbursed us for the new battery. We really appreciated their service and I would recommend this dealer to anyone.
It was the best it could be with the pandemic and all,I was asked if I wanted a car to use or wait, the gentlemen that helped me was very nice I said I would wait he showed me were I could get a cup of coffee and sit , he said it would take about an hour and he was spot on.Thank you.
I was told something by the service manager that didnt make sense, and I could tell he was just trying to move on to something else ... so he basically did whatever to appease me. In the end I found out he lied to me. The person checking me out told me a completely different story which made sense. That wasnt the first time I was treated in an unbecoming manner just to move on to the next project. Also, I have owned two Corvettes, and I have no confidence in their care or ability to service Corvettes. In fact we have over 100 members in our Corvette Club, and non of them will use Levalley.
I was given coupons for oil changes when i perchased gm certified car that they refused to honor. Purchased tire warranty they refused to honor even after bringing it in several times for a problem with my tire leaking from the moment i bought the car. Stabilitrak sensor went offline around 15000 miles after buying and they told me it may not be covered by my extended bumper to bumper warranty and i would have to pay for the inspection. Will not buy here again. They talk you into adding on thousands of dollars in warranties they will not honor.
Had the pleasure of working with Service Advisor Joe Kovach.. He has a great attitude, is very thorough, informative, and persistent in getting things done and done right. No one likes having car issues but having someone like Joe to work with makes it less painful. A+++++
I was able to get in for an oil change within 2 days, and for a great price that worked for my difficult work schedule. Have never had vip treatment being brought back to my car. ServIve advisor picked up my comment about how clean a car similar to mine looked and hooked me up with a car wash. All around great service department.
Will tell you theyre waiting for you to get approved (even I was pre-approved through Capital One and had info) then will sell the vehicle you wanted to their friends then call you& tell you that you were approved, and to come in as if to talk about the vehicle you wanted to buy, and tell you it was just sold when you arrive, and try to talk you into getting something more expensive. Monday was Christmas, and I went in yesterday (day after Christmas) so how did someone else get approved that quick?? Not to mention the day before Christmas someone answered the phone and lied like they didnt have the vehicle when I called the a few days prior. The manager Chuck is horrible and treats customers like he doesnt care if they buy anything or not. Dont do business with them....they are VERY DISHONEST!
Levalley Chevrolet is where I bought a pickup back in 1999. Got a great deal on it and its still running strong today. Mostly I go there for original GM parts that are a little bit harder to find at the local small parts stores. If they dont have the part that Im looking for in stock it can usually be ordered in just a couple of days. Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. Great place to go if youre looking to buy a new vehicle or just a few quality replacement parts.
UPDATE to my below comment.Today I stopped by LeValleys to see the owner and or the GM. Upon my arrival, he could’ve dismissed presence because of my above statement. But he did not, to the contrary he took the time to ensure that I understood the sales process and I truely appreciated his candor and professionalism. Because of our chat, I’m raising my rating and I am confident that the Lavalley team will do everything humanly possible to assist in resolving my frustration, concerns, issues, and challenges with my GM vehicle. Thanks for listening.VrHHUntil the sales department becomes more honest in the quality of the vehicles, I will recommend to anyone I come in contact with not to buy any vehicle from this outfit again. I bought a new Denali Ultimate in Oct 17 and have had to take it in at least a dozen times for service, transmission is awful and nobody can fix it. I have it on good authority that they were well aware of the problems with the vehicle before I bought it. Their fix... I can trade it in, take a loss and have higher payments on a smaller vehicle.
We found a 2015 white Chevy Suburban LTZ with 22 wheels online at Levalley Chevrolet. We drove up from Ohio to purchase it. The truck was beautiful inside and out. My husband negotiated a great deal on the truck before we even got there. Upon arrival in Michigan we took the truck for a test drive, inspected the vehicle it was a done deal. We signed the paperwork & the dealer left to go put gas in it. The dealer came back & explained that he hit the pole at the gas station & damaged the front drivers side door, rear door & running boards. We thought he was kidding but when we walked outside we were shocked to see the damage done. We were speechless! We decided to sleep on it, we got a hotel, and arrived at the dealer this morning to discuss options. We expected they would be forthcoming with options for us. We couldnt of been more wrong. They do not have a body shop on site, they refused to let us get it repaired at the chevy dealership in Ohio, they indicated they use a body shop in the Michigan area and he even does car restoration and does quality work. I have never heard of a chevy dealer not having a body shop onsite. When I asked if they would be replacing the skins on the front door & rear door they didnt have that answer & shrugged me off by saying if it needs it they will but we cant answer that for you. What? There is very obvious damage to both doors why wouldnt you replace the skins? At this point the more questions I asked the more uncomfortable the general manager and salesman became. The general manager finally said why dont we just nix the deal. I would not recommend this dealership to any of my friends, they just left made me feel very uneasy about giving them our business. They did not seem to care whether we bought the car or not and they were not apologetic by any means for the circumstance. I do wonder if they will even disclose the accident or body work to the new buyer of this vehicle. Quite honestly the whole experience got more shady by the minute. I will say the salesman wrote us a personal check to pay for our hotel & rental car for one day but honestly that was the least he could do.
Was looking for a 2018 or 2019 Equinox. With the GM Employees price promotion I scored a great deal, with KBB prime used for my trade-in. With additional bonus cash, price ended up less than half price. Good people to work with and great products. Second new car purchase from them.
Stopped in to wish my sales person Mark Groves to wish him a holiday greeting and to discuss getting the name of the company regarding side board mark said your covered bumper to bumper. Zack in service order two new ones. Thanks to both of you, new ones came in and Zack had them put on. in about 2 hrs., Honest people to deal with
The sales men asked me to go out the door the moment I decided not to buy the car because they were trying to sell me the car for the price i negotiated a day before but the website reduced the cost the day i was going to sign the papers. It was like they were asking me to buy the car for the original posted price or more without any negotiation benefit which was originally 600$. The manager even opened the door for me. They told me that I was not a good customer that they have dealt with better customers than me. I am still wondering what would have made them say that because I tried to negotiate? or wasted their time? google should provide a 0 star option too. This is just my experience with them but be sure if you negotiate you might be in the same situation too. They will open the exit door for you not one sales guy like 4 of them. But there was one nice guy that i was dealing with originally his name is David P.
I purchased a used 2017 Jeep Rengade Sport 4x4 with all the bells and whistles minus the split top roof that only has a little over 13000 miles for a gr8 price. I was able to barter the price down some and the salesman Mark Grobes was very courteous and very helpful. I had already looked at and driven 2 of them and had 2 more appointments. One in Mishawaka and one just south of Chicago. Im very pleased with this purchase. Sincerely Scott Patzer.
They told me when I bought my car with my trade in that they paid off my SUV in full and they didnt . After all and said I OWED 675 DOLLARS for a GMAC turn in fee and it sunk my credit after they told me I didnt owe GMAC anything. I let that go for 3 months finally answered it and GMAC told me I owed them that amount. My credit took a hit a 50 point drop. I would think after using GMAC as there main credit source they as a Dealership would of known that. And at the end what I got out of all of this is Im sorry but theres nothing we can do. Take my word make sure you shop around.
Levalley sold me my car at a great price! I trust this sales team completely! Last year I got blind sided by Brookfeild in Benton Harbor, and LeValley cleaned up this other dealers shadey sales tactics. Only shop at Levalley for a car! They are very trustworthy and helpful, and they have the best service techs around!
Took my vehicle in for warranty work they did great with performing the work to complete replacement of my transmission but only complaint is they didn’t clean up after delivering the truck back I found grease stains on my headliner and around the grab handles from the tech also finger prints on my mirrors on the exterior, others then that no complaints I would really hope they can remove the stains
The service department is disappointing. Same problem three times and no resolution. Little to no effort to go above and beyond what GM lays out as cause and repair. I had not gone to them for years over another issue and now I will not be back. Its a shame that all our local GM dealerships are subpar. Lavalley and Dominion. I will make the drive to other GM dealerships for my needs.
Sales, I wish I could give 0 stars. We went here to buy her a new car the sales manager played all the typical used car sales games. Will say and do anything to get you to sign the paperwork even lie (say a car is awd when its not). I will not recomend them to anyone, unless you want to play their games.
Service department is a disaster! Visiting from out of town called to get a tire fixed and was told that a courtesy car would be available to me. When I arrived the senior service writer laughed at me. Not very professional and a complete waste of my time. I hope they are not this way with everyone, in my area they wouldnt last long, too much competition.
Brought my car in to levalley back in February 2017 because it was stolen to be fixed.I have full coverage insurance so my insurance covered the rental for 750. Its been almost two months and i still dont have my car. I have paid over 600 in rental fees. And still have to pay my deductible. It seems like ralph likes to play games when it come letting people know when there is finished he has told me on numerous occasions different days when my car would be fixed and everytime its something else. Its almost april 2017. I called today lefted a message no call back so i had to go up there just to speak with him. Cause he told me it would done thursday 3-23-17. Well its friday 3-24-17 and my car still is not done now ralph is telling me tuesday. Now i have to play the rental car place more cash because of this.

2022-03-25Jim Dudley/Levalley put me in my very first vehicle. The process was very exciting and done in a timely fashion. I am pleased to say the Jim Dudley kept me well informed and made sure i was comfortable before moving forward with anything. I was an inexperienced buyer but i felt like an expert before i drove my car off the lot. I really appreciate Jim Dudley for making my first car buying experience amazing, I’m excited for our future partnership.

2022-02-09This review is long over due. I bought a Chevy sonic, process went fine. And as soon as I’m driving it home the check engine light pops on. And it was making a high pitch whistling noise. Turned around and They said couldn’t get me in for a week. I live an hour away from the dealership. And then when I was there, by myself, they disrespected me and didn’t take me seriously. Some of the mechanics even tried hitting on me. And because they couldn’t (or just didn’t want to) hear the noise I was hearing they made me drive it around for them, and decided nothing was wrong with it and sent me on my way. Literally 2 weeks later it completely broke down. I took it to the Chevy Denooyer in Holland and there, they were super helpful. And didn’t try to hit on me and actually took me seriously. A few weeks after I got it fixed There was a recall on the 2014 sonics.

2022-04-04My wife and I drove in from out of town to pick our new GMC 2500 Denali and the trip was well worth it. Jim J and Paul had everything ready for our arrival and the process went smooth with no variations from our conversations over the phone. They were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Jim went over everything in the vehicle with us. They recommended a very nice place for lunch which we enjoyed along with visits to the nearby chocolate and cheese shop. Thanks Guys!

2022-02-14Providing an updated review based on completion of transaction. John Pleyer, Tre and Paul provided excellent service after a rough start to my initial inquiry. I left with a new vehicle and an amazing experience in person. It was seamless and I felt valued as a customer. I would recommend for new vehicle purchases and would utilize again in the future. The invoicing included all applicable offers, Tre walked me through the features of the vehicle and was very quick with responses. It was helpful in deciding that LeValley was the place to go.The finance manager was very personable and detailed in explaining all the options including the lender information. I was confident in making the right choice for financing and additional supplemental options that met my needs.Overall, I’m happy that things were able to be rectified and I didn’t have to go to another dealer. It is worth a visit if you are in the market for a new vehicle. They even over a new purchase tire replacement option that is unheard of. It was pretty interesting to learn about during my visit. I am happy with the purchase, follow up, customer and the post-purchase assistance received. It’s a testament to customer service and I would purchase again.

2022-05-16My experience with Le Valley Chevrolet was phenomenal. I was able to get the majority of the deal done via email, text and phone conversations. I drove to the Le Valley Chevrolet dealership from Illinois and would definitely do it again!

2022-07-09Had a check engine light come on in my 2016 buick, so I took it to Levalleys (which is where I purchased the car a couple of years ago) Ralf was very helpful and knowledgeable. He fixed me right up and was even able to find me a loaner car to drive for the 2 days that they had my car. Will be going back for any future repairs.

2022-07-16Jaime Nunez was very professional to talk to and super helpful in getting my car in ahead of schedule. Its been trying times at home recently and a broken car on top of everything else just made maneuvering life that much harder. I had my repaired car back in 24 hours and I want to say thank you.
