I had a bad experience at first but the service manager Sam Mull and the Service Writer Sam Elmatarawy turned around my disappointment and made the process a flawless success. They go above and beyond for their customers. Definitely recommend this location.

Comment: Today I took my Lexus into Lexus Santa Monica Serivce Center. It was a great experience. I purchased a vehicle three days prior and had an issue with some vibration at freeway speeds. They were very professional. They provided a loaner vehicle that only Had 440 miles on it. Veronica was awesome and very professional. She walked me aroung the loaner and showed me the new features.

Comment: Incredible customer service, I was helped by Sam, who was very thorough, yet very fast in checking me in and making sure that he looked into what was covered and what was not under my profile and Car. He also mentioned something I was unaware of, that when you bring a car for service, they will offer you a free courtesy car, so you dont have to arrange a ride there and back to leave the car for the service.They close at 6 pm, and because of traffic I arrived to collect my car just around 6. Yet they were very kind and accommodating and checked me out really efficiently.The only thing I would say is with this being Lexus, I wouldve expected them to offer a complimentary car wash, even just the outside. And unfortunately that did not happen. Maybe in the future is something to consider?

Comment: Bought a hybrid car in February 2023 from this dealer. At the test drive I heard a noise from the hybrid engine but was told it was normal. When it came to finance, I was told that to get a loan for this car I needed to purchase a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years at a cost of $3k more or less. After 3 months of using the car, it went totally dead. I took the car to Toyota service, where they told me they needed to replace the battery and special filter, total cost of $800. I called the warranty service which they denied warranty arguing that was not covered. Guess what... The main component of a hybrid car is its battery. I called my sales person who then referred me to the financial manager, who told me they could not do anything for me.My attorney wrote letters, asking to refund the cost involved without any response .If you are buying here, be aware of their warranty offerings, that apparently means more commission for the dealer, but means burnt money for you as a consumer.Im very disappointed about not having any support from this dealer.

Comment: Total ripoff...I went to Lexus SM Service because of an oil leakage I had noticed with my car. While I did agree to a $259 inspection fee that would go towards the cost of repair, in hindsight, that itself was a ripoff — these guys can easily identify the reason for an oil leakage so it really should have been about half of that or less. Then I got the proposed bill for my repair: $4,300...if I wasnt in grad school (ie no current income), and if the car was worth a lot more, maybe I would have considered, but they didnt offer me any alternative to this or any suggestions on what I should do. I decided to return to my longtime mechanic back in the Bay Area and he said they didnt even get the diagnosis right. We were able to fix the issue for about $250, or a 95% discount... These guys are the epitome of a car service repair shop trying to take advantage of you.

Comment: DO NOT GO HERE Complete rip off, took my car here for a inspection for $260, they said adding thicker oil might help and said I needed a USED MOTOR WHICH WAS $10,000+ as well as trying to upsell me on other irrelevant issues. THE NEXT DAY IT BROKE DOWN they didnt warn me . I got a tow truck and the driver gave me more useful advice than these morons . He laughed when I told him that they said that the issue was my motor and recommended that I get my alternator check and get thicker oil and even gave me a possible quote of 1 thousand dollars. DO NOT GO HERE THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY.

THEY WILL KEEP YOUR CAR 5 TIMES LONGER THAN ESTIMATED, DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE, AND REFUSE TO FIX IT.I scheduled service with Elis in April, waited until my appointment on August 16th, as they needed 4 months to order parts for a 10 day repair. On August 14th, I was told I had to drop off my car that day or I would miss my August 16th appointment. I immediately left work and drove my car to drop it off. This was a simple scratched bumper repair so not urgent, but I didnt want to wait months for another appointment.Two weeks after dropping the car off and paying for a rental, I reached out to Elis to get my car back. Instead, I find out they needed to order parts and would keep my car another two weeks.I continued to reach out repeatedly, as $35/day for a rental was adding up. Emails would go unanswered for days. Connie, the manager, would average 2+ days to provide any update on my 10 day repair.Finally, after 54 days and $2300 in rental costs, I was offered my car back only to find the second I drove it off the lot that the alignment was so messed up that the car was unable to be driven. I pulled right back in and explained the issue. Elis put me into a rental, kept my car another 4 days, only to tell me they were not responsible, refused to fix my car, and that I had to return the rental immediately.Connie and Elis stated they are not responsible for any damage to the vehicle because how could they know what it was like when I brought it in. I drove the car to the lot, and now it is unable to be driven, which Connie acknowledged, but still refused any responsibility for the damage Elis caused while they had the car for 54 days.AGAIN, NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE. ZERO STARS!!!

Comment: I’ve owned a few Lexus vehicles from various cities and this location has been very disappointing. The service center is separate from the dealership so I can’t view and test other cars while mine is being serviced. I’m currently sitting here for over an hour waiting for my loaner vehicle despite calling in for it in advance. The people are nice and polite but that’s only one part of the experience. Also, as you can see in the photo I posted the ceiling is falling apart in a way that I would not expect in a luxury brand service center in Santa Monica, CA.

The process was unpleasant from start to finish and the agent tried to scare me into buying new tires.Went to a tire center completely stressed about the expense of a new set and they simply told me that dealerships lie and sent me away with no charge.No one was wearing a mask. Save yourself the trouble and go to any other dealership.* Mario forgot to send verification of my recall service leading to my DMV registration being denied.Consumers beware!

Comment: Great place to get your Lexus serviced. Quiet and clean waiting area with plenty of chairs and tables spread out so you can maintain distance from others. Oil changes were pretty fast when compared to other crowded dealerships. Had my brakes replaced and did the routine maintenance here.

So I hadnt been there since maybe 2000, but I went back a week or so ago, nothing has changed, still providing quality service as well excellent customer service!!! Glad to be back with them! Only downside was that my car wasnt even washed. Ive taken my vehicle to other Lexus dealers and Im always happy to see my clean spotless and sometimes even with a full tank. Comment: This dealership is awful. My car’s paint was damaged by Lexus Santa Monica during a service. They were forced to repair it due to their negligence. They did a botched job! The area that was “repaired” is now corroding and the paint has come off. They will not take responsibility and fix their mistake. Really disappointed with the customer service, quality of maintenance, repair and service! It is not up to luxury car standards and an embarrassment to the Lexus name.

Comment: Cant give them 5 stars but my experience started at 0. Took my car in for regular service 6/15 and was told I needed new tires. Agreed to buy new tires from them but was told it would take 2 days for tires to come in. No communication from them until I call Friday and was told Tuesday 6/22 theyd be ready. Then Wednesday. Finally picked up the car today - 9 days later.What bumped my review was Sams (Service Manager) response when I escalated. He called back regularly and was up front and straight with me on the situation. And he discounted the labor charge and filled up my car with gas - thats good customer service.Having said all that, service centers need to do a MUCH better job communicating to customers about part shortages. If you read the news you know whats going in the Auto industry but please COMMUNICATE BETTER with customers. Well understand if you are honest.Because of Sam, I will take my car back there for its next service appt.

Comment: Horrible experience!! I brought my RX450h for the first service to this location as I live just a few blocks away. I regret my decision, big time! Not only they did not provide a loaner (unlike many other luxury brands), they returned my car unwashed stating that there was a problem with the carwash. Also, I discovered OIL stains! on the parchment interior: the drivers seat, armrest, and door were all dirty. Very disappointed with the quality of service. I guess I should be thankful that they have not damaged the exterior of my car. Indeed, I will drive to another location to service my car. I bought Lexus for build quality but should have considered service as well.

Comment: They had a recall on my friends 2007 ES350, and they scratched up his dashboard & put yellowish marks on it. They refused to replace it and now his dash is all scratched up and damaged because of their terrible job and service. If their service was good or better, they would have replaced his dash and apologized to him, but they didnt. I would not go here unless its absolutely mandatory. Do your own repairs because they wont be as responsible as they should be.

I had visited other dealers closer to my home but the reception I received ranged from ambivalence to cold dismissal. Comment: I spoke with a lady (service advisor) in the morning for a service quote. She was very nice and said that she will email me shortly. I waited for her for hours and called them again around 2 pm. Lorena answered forwarding me to Fevui Villarreal. They disappeared again. All I needed was one sentence saying how much the service will cost. Thats it. After I wrote a review on the yelp I received the quote, which was too late. I am very disappointed and highly recommend avoiding this place!

They have a very nice waiting area with lots of smart treats,coffee,teas,soda and water for you to enjoy while waiting for you car. Manny in parts was amazing before I even arrived at Service, he even followed up with a phone call to let me know the status of another item. These guys run a smooth, professional experience! Comment: Maybe I will be more impressed next time, but coming from another dealer Lexus SM was a major disappointment. First, my GPS took me to the sales lot and not service. If there was something really wrong, this would have been catastrophic. While the actual service was good, the overall customer experience was poor in comparison to what I was accustomed. The loaner car process felt like I was a deadbeat getting a nicer car (when I own the second most expensive car in the fleet). I get filling the car with gas (came from dealer who did not ask you to), but the way they approached it was strange. Just did not feel like a Lexus experience should.

It would be easy for him after 3+ years to not go above and beyond anymore. He is very knowledgable and helpful. He is very patient when i ask the same questions over and over again lol He always has the best interest for Lexus and the Customer in mind. Comment: The service at the Santa Monica location was pleasant. Everything went smoothly and I got a nice loaner so Im happy. Everyone who took care of me was nice. However, when I made an appt online via Chat system, the person who took care of me was rude. I had a few questions regarding the making this appt and she sent me a express lane service link without explaining. I tried to ask more questions to clarify what the link was but she said have a nice day and hang up on me. That was my first unpleasant experience Ive ever had at Santa Monica Lexus and didnt want to make an appt using Chat again. I think her name was Ms. K. May.So thats why I marked the Rating as 2. Comment: I purchased my car at Lexus Santa Monica, and have had all my oil changes, warranty covered repairs, and scheduled service appointments done at their service center. Every experience I have had with Lexus Santa Monica has been a positive one! I find the staff at the service center to be very friendly, helpful and efficient! I also love the courtesy vehicle they offer during services, so I never have to miss work or other activities while my car is being worked on. They have plenty of appointment days and times and I have never had a problem getting my car in for service when necessary! I have never felt pressured to upgrade or purchase additional services when I bring my car in, either, which is a huge plus! During my most recent visit last week, Adriane Marmolejo assisted me with my service appointment. She was very friendly and helpful. Adriane called me right after my service was complete and gave me the results of the inspection and provided me with the details of what had been done on my car. I look forward to working with her again at my next scheduled service! Keep up the great work, Lexus Santa Monica! :)

Ive been taking it there for maintenance service ever since because they do a wonderful job and treat me like they care. This time I was there for my 90k service and my service advisor, Rafael Navarro, was especially kind and helpful. Comment: I came in for a minor regular service and got Chris Young when my regular contact was not available (even though I got an email from him thanks to the Lexus of Santa Monica over-automated email system). I had a problem with one of the sensors in my rear bumper. I explained it to Chris and he said he would check it out. It turned out to be pretty complicated. There is some real confusion here as between what I was told was $215 part and the estimate of over $3000 that Chris got when he pursued this for me. He appreciated how unreasonable this seemed on its face and offered to pursue it further for me. Considering I had never dealt with him before and technically was assigned to another service writer, this was service above and beyond the call of duty.

YESTERSAY SATURDAY I CAME HERE FOR 10,000 MILE SERVICE AFTER HORRIBLE SERVICE AT BEVERLY HILLS, ONLY TO SEE THIS HORRIBLE SCRATCH....UNFORTUNATELY I FOUND OUT AFTER SINCE IT WAS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE....NOT SURE WHAT WILL HAPPEN SINCE TODAY SUNDAY THEY ARE CLOSED AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY BY THE DEALER.....I HAVE ALREADY HAD HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES WITH lexus CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SUCH SHORT TIME....I CAN HONESTLY SAY lexus CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GARBAGE....I SIMPLY NEED PEOPLE AND lexus TO BE AWARE THIS SO CALLED LUXURY BRAND is nothing compared to AUDI, BMW....and also, this car wash though....Updated on 3/23/18....thank you George and staff for the amazing help. Made this much smoother than what I expected.....although why is it when I try to be happy with my experience I find something horrible after getting service which Im grateful, I come to find this horrible dent????! Why Lexus? Why?

Comment: I recently went to the Lexus Santa Monica Service Center to get new brake pads. My service manager was Adriane Marmolejo. She did an excellent job overseeing the repair of my car and keeping me up to date on the progress. I especially appreciated that she told me only the front brakes needed replacing so I didnt spend more than was required. I will definitely request her on my next visit.

Comment: I recently had a very suspicious and irritating experience with the Santa Monica Lexus service center. Ive never had any real issues with my vehicle; its a 2010 IS250C Lexus with only 80,000 miles. I took my car in early one morning for routine oil change and 80,000 mile point inspection. I dropped it off, get my loaner, then about 3 hours later received a call from my service representative saying I had a strut leaking; it wasnt imperative to be fixed, but I should keep an eye on it and my car was ready. I picked it up around noon and drove home, upon pulling into my driveway my check engine light and traction light came on. I called the service center, they told bring it back and they would look at it (It took 1.5hrs to get back in traffic). I received a call about 5 PM the next day saying that my O2 sensor was defective, they estimated the cost to be $800 to fix it. I was pissed! I took a great running car to get a routine oil change and once they gave it back instantly the service engine light comes on.Returning to the center the next morning to get my car and I asked if they would turn my lights off because thats how I gave it to them on Tuesday morning for my routine on change. They cancelled the lights but warned me that it would come back on because the sensor needs to be replaced. Its been a week and my lights have not come back on indicating that I had an issue with anything on my car. I leave this message because its very suspicious that this happened; in the years Ive had my car Ive never had any lights come on or any issues but is soon as I get it back from being serviced the lights come on. I remember having a conversation with my sales associate telling him that its a great running car and I havent had any issues. Maybe its me being a conspiracists or suspicious of car dealerships but I think its something to look into.

Comment: I bought tires at Lexus last year. Within 12 months, I had a tire punctured by a garden take on the freeway. I was able to obtain a new tire when I approached Angel Vaszuez with the information and he handled it immediately by getting everyone that was needed involved.I was able to get what I wanted and will always utilize the services of this dealership for all of my service needs for the 2007 ES350.

Comment: Thanks to a jammed garage door, my 2006 Lexus RX 450h was parked on the street during the intense rain event in Venice last Monday night. Tuesday, my car wouldnt turn over. I am fairly familiar with electronics and thought it might work again if it had a time to dry out, but knew that it would need to be checked by your service department. I called the cell for my last service consultant, but by late afternoon I had not received a return message (he no longer works for you) so I called the receptionist and asked for her to make an appointment on Wed AM for me. When she asked whom I would like to make it with, I asked her to recommend someone nice -- i.e., a good soul. And that person was Patrick Levenson -- and BTW, he is.My car is old by body/gizmo standards, but has less than 60K miles on it because I work out of my house and fly when I travel (and was derailed by a serious illness for about 3 years). However, my current activities require that I can reliably arrive at designated times for meetings. I do expect to lease or buy a new car, but was hoping to wait a couple of years before making that commitment, as I expect that the technology will be significantly improved in that timeframe.Patrick got it. It turns out that thanks to some debris in the sunroof and flooding of the pan, water had permeated my entire car. When telling him about what I would ideally like, he said that for $175 he could let me know what it might cost to get the old girl running again. The tech wound up pretty much taking the car apart and thought that no major part had been damaged, but that it would cost about $1,090 to dry it out, re-assemble, and retest. And thats what happened. I had my car back by Friday afternoon.Great guys - Patrick and the tech! And great service.Thank you.

Comment: For years I have had a great experience doing my car maintenance at the Lexus Santa Monica Service Center. Over time, I developed high trust with my service rep, Angel. We recently bought a new Lexus, in part because of my years of true satisfaction with him and the service center. Now he has moved on and I just began with Juan Carlos who is also terrific, friendly, helpful and detail oriented. The only reason my review is not 5 star is because the cashier team on my last visit was, I guess, distracted. Normally it would not have mattered that it took me over 40 minutes to check out with them after finishing with Juan Carlos, but I happened to be in a big hurry that day. I understand that things take time, but the cashier team was taking people out of order and fielding non-urgent personal phone calls in the middle of my transaction. Juan Carlos came to my rescue and I finally got waited on. I have normally had such a consistently good experience here, I dont want to make this some kind of rant. I simply hope that Lexus will be inspired to refocus that team on excellent service like I have received so many times before.

Comment: Id been going to Longo Lexus for years before switching to Santa Monica. Setting up an appointment here was effortless. My customer service rep was Adriane Marmolejo. She was quick, considerate, and competent. I waited for about 2.5 hours, enjoying a few espressos while watching Trump address the nation about the Charlottesville incident on the flatscreen in the waiting area. I went in for scheduled maintenance, but also to fix a recall issue. Adriane let me know that Id receive a free tank of gas for recall related repairs, in addition to the complimentary car wash. So they topped me off and I was on my way. Ill be back in 5K miles!

Carlos Palacios took care of me and (1) Gave me a correct run down of what was to be done and how long it would take; (2) called and sent a text when the car was finished; (3) alerted me to my need for a new battery and suggested one that was fairly priced; (4) called again when the car was done. Always overwhelmed but always friendly, Angel is Lexus very own Speedy Gonzales and Energizer Bunny wrapped in one. Angel gets things done efficiently and always with a courteous smile. Comment: I am completely pleased by the speed and quality of the service here. I always get a little pain in my stomach when I need to go get maintenance on my car from past bad experiences. However, now that I have a new car from Lexus, Ive been treated 100x better than the other place I use to go with my last car.For regular maintenance on my new car it took a little over an hour and they wash and vacuum as well. I was greeted when I drove in and then taken to a sit down desk area where they processed my information. The gentleman who helped me was fantastic. Told me about the waiting area and also the private rooms in case I need to study or read.The waiting area had cookies, coffee, lattes, espresso, etc. Very clean place!

Comment: I recently took my new 2016 RX in for a minor front bumper guard repair. I have no idea how the front bumper clip broke or if I purchased the car with the damage. I was greeted with the usual courtesy, which I’ve come to enjoy, and my service advisor Ray James was also very courteous and professional. He complimented me on my purchase and as actually taken back as to why I was bring my car in. I showed him the bumper and he looked over the car for any evidence of damage. He said he would have the technicians look over the car and let me know. To make a long story short Lexus repaired my car at no charge. Ray James presented my case to Lexus and they “replaced the bumper guard as goodwill in the interest of customer satisfaction”. Comment: Angel Vasquez was very helpful during my 40,000 mile service on my ES350.In the beginning, I wasnt very happy because the recommended tire change for all four tires which costs over $1000. It turns out that this price is about right, and I really did need the tire change.Also, the ES300h I got for the day for free while my car was in service was great. I expected to get a car that are cheaper than mine, but the newer ES300h with much better equipment is clearly more expensive than my car, and I really enjoyed driving a hybrid for a day.In general, good service, price is about right.

Comment: Rafael Navarro was my service rep, and he took very good care of me and my Lexus 300h. Rafael noticed that my AC filter had been changed at my last service, so he removed it from the 40,000 service. Although the cost of the service was high due to the need for wheel alignment and new wiper rubber blades, Rafael made sure I was aware of the additional costs and applied a 10% discount coupon to my labor costs. My car has under 14,000 miles on it, so I was surprised at the high cost of this particular service. But Rafael provided excellent service.

Comment: Our 2010 450H Lexus is proving to have an intermittent problem that results in the car loosing power. This has happened three times requiring tows to the dealership. Lexus Santa Monica has proven to be an exemplary dealership regarding dealing with the problem. Twice they have offered to run extensive diagnostics and road tests -- at their expense - to try to locate the problem that is recorded in the computer logs but proving evasive to identify thus fix. This high level of service is being led by Angel Vasquez. He has been tireless in following up, advocating for the extended diagnostics with the service manager, and providing information. Angel consistently goes above and beyond, is knowledgeable and articulate when describing the nature of the problem at many levels of detail, and has built a high level of confidence in his abilities in this family. Angel is simply a terrific.

Comment: I brought by Lexus CT200 in for a 30,000 mile service. Johnny Mancillas was the service advisor I was assigned to. Nice guy---didnt make a hard sell for any additional work. Lexus service always treats customers royally, beautiful surroundings, great coffee, tasty cookies, and they offer you a free car to use.But that all does come with a price. My bill was $554.31, and that included a 15% labor discount coupon. The only thing that had to be repaired was a nail in a tire. Everything else was routine maintenance. Its wonderful to be treated like a King but just remember that kingly treatment comes with a kingly price.

As I was trying to find my way, a gentlemen, later identified as Ray James made contact with me. Mr. James assisted me with the service of my vehicle. He was polite, courteous and very professional. Not only did he take good care of my vehicle and I, his ability to connect with me as a person was great. This was my second visit to this service department and because of Mr. James, I will return for service. Actually, the first time was just average, cold and lacked a personal touch that I thought a car dealership should have. The sells person that sold me the vehicle spoke of the service department as if it walked on water, I was not happy after my first visit, and my vehicle was cleaned properly. However, Mr. James helped my confidence in the service department. He responded and contacted me in the waiting area after my service was complete and told me what was found with my vehicle, nothing thank God.Mind you, my vehicle is extremely nice, but service is very important to me. If everyone was greeted like Mr. Ray James greeted me, you service department will flourish. However, if it had continued to have the same attitude that occurred the first time, I would have sold or traded the vehicle in.I am thankful that Mr. James assisted me. Comment: I was helped this time by a guy named Dan Smith. I have had a problem since I leased the car that I have, with the tires getting leaks repeatedly. I have never had a car where I experienced this. It has been enormously frustrating to repeatedly bring the car in and have nobody help me that is able to explain this. Dan immediately explained the problem, and took care of fixing it (the rims were the problem, and he replaced them). He was smart, on top of it, and completely honest. Ill be leasing another car from Lexus because of the experience that I had with him.

Comment: Lexus Santa Monica Service has taken care of our cars for over 10 years and the customer service is always very good. I did not imagine that it could get better until I was fortunate to select Heidi Cabrera as my service representative. Not only did she take care of the required maintenance of my ISC 250, she requested I take a test drive with the Technician Manager, who also gave outstanding service in assessing a minor issue with my convertible top. My Lexus has just under 27.000 miles driven and it will be 7 years old in July.He asked me to bring it in so he could check the leaking shock absorber, dismissed one suggested service outright, and said I could wait for the 30,000 mile service to the end of the year, since I had just had an oil change a few weeks ago.I will definitely bring my car in to him for its next service. They are prompt, courteous, efficient and communicative with customers when you do need service, but the best thing about a Lexus is that it is so reliable that things rarely go wrong. Comment: Johnny was outstanding from start to finish. I called to make an appointment for service a week before and Johnny made it easy, giving me the exact date and time I requested immediately. On the day of service, Johnny met me promptly, completed my paperwork quickly and had me on my way in a very short period of time. I needed my car later that morning and asked if it would be possible to have the maintenance work completed by 10:30 AM. Johnny assured me that he would accommodate this request (my car was actually ready at 9:00 AM). The work was excellent and Johnny saw to it that EVERYTHING was performed perfectly from start to finish. Comment: My car battery died on a Friday afternoon. AAA gave me a jump start and I drove to Lexus Santa Monica since the battery was still under warranty. Angel Vasquez was very helpful as I had no appointment. After a 30 minute wait, he confirmed the battery needed replacing but the damaged terminal was not in stock. He gave me the option of leaving the car overnight with a complimentary loaner. I was able to complete my errands and returned Saturday when the car was ready. Thank you!

They let me use a brand new Lexus SUV for the day and when my car was finished I received notification promptly. NO CHARGE!My car needed additional work but I appreciated not having to suffer through a hi-pressure sell. I have been happy with the local Honda dealership for the past several years, so I wondered how Lexus would compare. Instantly, I was impressed with the level of friendliness, courtesy, and amenities. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly associate (Eddie) who was kind enough to show me around and introduce me to a helpful parts manager (Eric). I even met the service manager (Daniel) who couldnt have been nicer. During my visit, they took care of me -- and my car.
