Nobody wants to be in this situation where you need service from a Funeral Home. When my mother passed away it was 2:00 am on a Sunday morning with icy roads came into contact with Griffin Funeral home in Westland and spoke to Larry, what a pleasant person , he met us at the funeral home and explained everything involved in a funeral. I can’t say enough from Griffen funeral home they were very caring and symptomatic with us. Just recently I needed some information from Griffin funeral home regarding my mothers receipts that needed to be accounted for I called and spoke to Cathy, what a GOD send she was very polite never acted like I was bothering her,With this request from January 2020 Cathy went above and beyond to get this information I needed, Again thank you to all that helped me at this difficult time. Everyone at Griffin Funeral Home were awesome from the minute they picked Mom up at home, taking their time with us while we made those hard decisions in the office and until we had to say our final goodbye to my Mom Nancy Hart. They were caring and considerate of all we wanted for her. She looked so peaceful and beautiful considering how much she had suffered in her final days. We couldnt have been happier with the great job they did. Thank you to everyone there.

Thank you for going the extra mile for my family. Whatever we needed, you guys stepped up without hesitation, right down to switching a pin on my grandmas shoulder to the other side. You gave great advice with cemeteries and other important matters. We appreciate all the behind the scenes things you did for my grandpa so that he did not have to deal with those things in the days after. Thank you so much.

Just a few trees. Such a small request that they refused, so Im inclined to agree with the reviewer that said Griffin is just out to make money.Replacing a few trees would go a long way to adding a visual buffer between the business and the homes. I remember the small wooded area that made you feel how close you were to Hines Parkway. Having the back-side view of a business is not pleasant. Frankly its trashy looking.My friend can no longer speak for herself, and now I look at her house and think, “This is a modest neighborhood, but the long-time residents have pride of ownership.” I hope the neighborhood funeral home would respect the neighborhood residents enough to take this small measure of goodwill. Perhaps they did not consider the impact they have, and I do hope that Griffin Funeral Home reconsiders the request.

I highly recommend this funeral home! My father was a pastor for over 30 years in the Detroit Metro area and has performed countless funerals for people in several different funeral homes across the state of Michigan. Griffin funeral homes has ALWAYS been the nicest, most professional and personal of any that my father or my family have ever attended a funeral service in. The owners and staff are second to none in customer service! Aside from experiencing this funeral home as an attendee to services, we have used them to lay to rest my grandfather, great aunt and aunt. I could not recommend a better place, when making arrangements for your loved ones than this.

As a current employee of L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, I help grieving families during their services everyday. In September, I lost my mother and chose L.J. Griffin Funeral Home to take care of her arrangements. I knew that the staff worked hard to make things perfect for each family that comes to us. Seeing things from a customer perspective vs employee really opened my eyes to everything that Griffin does for grieving families. My entire family, and all of our friends were so pleased with the beautiful services and attention to detail at Griffin. I would highly recommend any of the L.J. Griffin locations, and Im not just saying that because I work there!

I agree regarding the trees. I know the lady they are talking about (regarding the trees) that borders the property and she tried to get them to plant replacement trees and they refused. She wasn’t asking for much, they just didn’t take her feelings into consideration. Just a few trees put back to make the view from the yard enjoyable again instead of looking at the building. So sad they couldn’t work with their neighbor and have some compassion. 👎
