Comment: I highly recommend Lloyd’s Plumbing in Newbury Park for the exemplary service that they have provided. Approximately 3 years ago, a water heater company installed a tankless water heater in my home. From the beginning, delivery of hot water was slow and inconsistent. I had subsequent visits from the installer who kept insisting that it was my plumbing but never provided any insight as to what the problem was. Every time, I was left wondering about what to do next. This started my journey with visits from plumbers. Each plumbing company checked the system but never proposed a solution or course of action that would provide consistent water. Three years and multiple service calls from multiple vendors only left me poorer and more frustrated. As I continued down the internet list of plumbing companies, I decided that it was time to try Lloyd’s. The first technician to arrive was able to check the heater (after receiving code 20 errors) and helped shed light on some issues. As it was recognized that this was a big, wide-ranging problem, a senior level plumber arrived. Aaron checked the tankless heater, made some modifications that resolved the code 20 but not the hot water issues. He then continued to work the problem. He spent a lot of time checking different variables that could contribute to my lack of hot water. He determined that my most immediate problem was the valves in the showers. Their design of mixing hot and cold water created a situation where hot water was non-existent most of the time. We proceeded to change the valves and they made a world of difference in the quality of our water temperature. Lloyd’s quote for service was extremely fair and finally resulted in a solution! I couldn’t have been happier – at last, hot water!Most aggravating was that the shower valves were completely incompatible with a tankless heater – prior to the heater being installed, the installer never asked about my valves or mentioned that there could be compatibility issues.Aaron turned out to be the Master Plumber that I had been searching for during the past 3 years. I started to think that such a person did not exist but was happy that I found Aaron and Lloyd’s Plumbing to finally provide clarity, a course of action and a solution. Many thanks!

Comment: Richie and Lloyds plumbing is top notch! They pride themselves in quality work and professionalism. We had a big project that lasted a couple weeks and they were very communicative, respectful, and made sure everything was getting done to perfection. They work very hard and their goal is to make it look like they were never there, which is what they did. As dirty as a plumbing job can be, they take the time to make sure they don’t leave messes and clean up as they go. I felt comfortable knowing they were gonna do it right the first time. I highly recommend Richie and Lloyds plumbing!

Comment: We just had Lloyd’s Plumbing come to check a tapping sound in our main bath wall. It turned out to be expansion taps in the hot water line. Rudy also checked our water heater and pressure, and replaced the main regulator which was not unexpected for our 57 year old, family home. He was very friendly and informative, as Lloyd’s people always are. We’ve never been disappointed with their work. They’re our first call for plumbing.

Comment: I had such a POSITIVE experience with this plumbing company. From the first interaction with the office I felt I was in good hands. We had a flood from a burst pipe under the concrete slab in my living room. Shares a wall with the garage. The flood was in both my garage and living room. The plumber my home warranty people sent out immediately quoted $4000 to break thru the wall, jackhammer the concrete in the garage and take out hot water tank and destroy the platform it sits on.I called Loyd’s. They convinced me to hire a leak detection company first. We did. Thomas from Loyd’s showed up the next business day with two plumbers. Loyd’s abandoned the pipe under the concrete, which was found in the living room (NOT THE GARAGE), and re-routed the hot water to the manifold by working thru a small hole under the hot water tank in the garage.They were FAST KNOWLEDGABLE PROFESSIONSAL and REASONABLE. I highly recommend them!!!

Comment: Lloyds did a great job fixing our under slab leak and replumb from the hot water heater to the kitchen sink. They answered all our questions, were patient with us while we got quotes from other companies and were overall extremely polite. The guys who did the work did a great job at keeping the house clean by creating a plastic surround where they were cutting drywall, putting down boards in the attic and protecting our wood floors with ram board. They were very professional and walked me through all the repairs they did. Oh yea and when we noticed the leak on the Saturday after thanksgiving, they came out that day, diagnosed where the leak was and didn’t charge me a dime for their time. Their quote was very fair based on about half a dozen quotes we got from other local companies. And when we called to schedule the work, they were at our house the next morning and finished the job in two days. Great company to deal with and will use them again.

Comment: Yard drains are still 100% clogged but my wallet was thoroughly cleaned out. 6 months ago I rented a hand crank snake. I was able to clear out 10 times more roots with that than Lloyds was able to clear out using their motorized snake. They seemed to have a lot of good reviews so I figured they would get the job done. I was wrong. I would not use them again or recommend their services to anyone. Extremely disappointed.Update: 24 hours has come and gone (see Lloyds reply to my initial review). Ten days or 240 hours later and no call or contact from Lloyds toresolve the matter. Talk is cheap. Paying Lloyds to completely and totally fail, on the other hand costs hundreds of dollars.

Comment: My Mother who is 86 years old called them to fix slow draining bathroom sink (hair in pop up) . They came out fixed that then asked her if she would like them to look at other plumbing fixtures as a courtesy . They found a tee outside the house with that had 2 hose bibs attached with a little rust on it and said that should be replaced, she said ok. No price was mentioned. Invoice for call to fix slow bathroom drain $500.00 she was shocked and called me after. I am a retired HVAC contractor who used to see these kind of things with other A/C contractors like Mike Diamond and George Brazil who would take advantage of people especially Seniors. I called a reputable plumber friend of mine and asked him what he would charge to do same job for somebody who called him that he didnt know and he said he would charge $300.00. I had left an earlier negative review and Taylor at Lloyds got in contact with me and said he would credit 200 back to my Mothers card but never did. Surprise, I should have known. I am out of state or would have done the repairs myself. I would look for some other company to do your plumbing repairs.

Comment: It was the 4th day of school - I’m a teacher- and I get a text from a neighbor- the fire department is at your house to shut off the water. There is a leak and the water is shooting up to the second story of your house! I rush home and fortunately the leak is outside. I need a plumber but who do I call? I went with Lloyd’s and it was the best decision ever!! Within 45 minutes they were at my door, diagnosing the problem, and fixing the leak. Bob was awesome! With a water heater leaking, I reached out to 3 local plumbers; 1 never returned my call.Rita from Lloyd’s call center was a wealth of information and patience. She was helpful and I appreciate she clearly stated what she did not have the expertise to answer.A dispatcher called me as scheduled to rough in the time for the next day and on the day called me, as requested, when the tech was 30min out.Lastly, Bill the technician was professional and knowledgeable. Clearly walked through my options and was patient with my questions. Once I authorized the work, he was done in 2.5 hours. He went above and beyond (including wiping down the spiderwebs in the depths of the closet). Work was thorough and he did a full clean afterwards. At the end, he cut a few hundred from original proposal because he was able to reuse some parts.Btw, Lloyd’s originally came in just over $200 higher than the other plumber. I chose them because from start to estimate I felt comfortable with them. Ended up being slightly cheaper than the other plumber.Highly, highly recommend!

Comment: After being homeowners for less than two months, we had to deal with the unfortunate reality of having a large leak in the yard. I have never dealt with plumbers before but luckily have a friend in the area who recommended Lloyds.From the get-go, Lloyds customer service was fantastic. The receptionists made me feel at ease and I felt like a priority. I had a couple workers come out and every one of them were incredible nice people! All of them really made you feel like they were there for you. Especially Thomas, who is the supervisor who accesses the situation and comes up with a game plan. He was a super nice guy and was really thorough with all my rookie questions.The price did add up, as once they fixed the leak, it let to some other things - I needed to get a pressure regulator since once the leak was fixed, at full capacity, the city of Thousand Oaks sends too-high water pressure that could potentially damage the pipes... so at the end of the day this was NOT cheap. After the initial leak was fixed but we discovered I had to get the other work done, I did call one other plumber to see if what they would charge, and without coming over to see it and give a more accurate quote, they did land right in the same ballpark as Lloyds, which made me feel good about sticking with Lloyds.Again... I didnt do a lot of (any really) shopping around, so there may (or may not) be cheaper folks out there, but I needed to get the work done fast and well, and Lloyds really made me feel at ease, treated me like a priority, and like they had my back. There was one time where the office made an error and sent someone who was supposed to come to my place first thing in the morning to another site by accident, so my day got a bit out of whack... but when I called, instead of making something up, or telling me I was wrong (like many places seem to do these days), the person in the office was very apologetic, admitting it was an accident on their end, and sent the guy out as soon as he finished the other job, and even HE was very apologetic and got right to work. They just seem like honest people.As long as their work holds and their customer service stays the same, Lloyds is going to be my first call.

We got 4 other quotes and setting quotes aside when Thomas talked with use it was easy to talk with him provide many options even discussing using our insurance. Even after the quote or should I say quotes we felt no pressure and walked through each quote discussing the pros and cons. We deciding on a total repipe but we actually did it is sections meaning downstairs first then upstairs. Very flexible and the techs that did the work were just as easy to work with. Comment: We were very pleased with Lloyd’s Plumbing doing major work on our Kitchen that required opening a hole in the foundation to work on the drain pipe. Lloyd’s had all the expertise and equipment to diagnose the issue (a broken drain pipe under the foundation) and to fix it. I was pleased with the personal approach all the workers took in explaining the problem to us and helping us to prepare for their repair. The work was finished on schedule and to our satisfaction. The final repair was hydro jet washed, and a video camera was sent down the pipe to show us the repair from inside the pipe. We also feel the price was reasonable for all the work completed. Comment: Is my wife and I purchased a home with absolute nightmare plumbing. The previous owner had installed an unpermitted line all the way out to the street. We ended up having to replace our entire main sewer line, No small task let me assure you. Lloyds plumbing was amazing! They were extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout the entire process, not only did they solve our plumbing woes they were courteous, clean and always made sure my Property was secured at the end of the day Preventing my dogs from taking any unscheduled walks. I sincerely cannot recommend them enough.Update:I have used Lloyds on two more occasion after this massive whole property repipe. We have them install a new water heater about a year ago and today they replaced two of our toilets. Lloyds were far from the lowest cost estimates in both occasions but they superseded our expectations. Different individuals have a different concept of value, sometime it is purely a dollar amount but in our case I include the confidence of a crew that stands behind their work, their professionalism and their knowledge of Plumbing. I had previously installed the same model myself several years ago. I just didnt want the hassle, so I thought Id have them do it. I thought about $100 would be reasonable, so I declined the service. I still had to pay them $80 to come out and give an estimate as they wont give an estimate or an hourly rate over the phone.After they left, another plumber quoted me $100 for the installation. I was happy with that and the quick response and appointment time, but decided to get started on the job myself. It took me one hour to put it in. I am a sixty-three-year-old retired teacher. Im 51, and weight just under 100 lbs. Was Lloyds taking advantage of me? You decide...I will also say that after I posted my review their fixer called to smooth things over and offered to refund my $80 if I would take my review down. During those repairs, the subcontractor told me my water line valve was leaking and it needed to be replaced for a couple hundred dollars. Comment: I have a house built in 1999. I had a pinhole leak on the outside of the house just outside one of the walls. The wall is stucco. They show up and before anything told me they would have to test for asbestos. I said okay and then they told me the test would be $500. Not $50 not $100 but $500 to do nothing except the test which does not include fixing the actual problem. They said this is standard for drywall and outside wall. So they will come out and do a free estimate but if you have an actual problem inside a wall, you know where all the plumbing is, they will try to charge you $500 before they even start. Absolutely unbelievable and wasted my time to make sure I was here to meet the plumber to tell me to give them $500 before they do any actual plumbing. (Asbestos has not been used since the 70s and my house is from 1999) I would definitely avoid taking time away from your day if you have any piping inside a wall.

Comment: Lets be honest, I tried to change out a shower head and I mangled the pipe it attaches to, definitely over-confidence at its best... So I called Lloyds, because I remember seeing their trucks in our neighborhood before, and our neighbors will always let us know who is bad, but not necessarily who is great... They sent John to take care of us, and after a quick assessment, he quoted us a great price to fix my problem. He swapped out the damaged pipe for one that matches our new shower head (wasnt even a necessity, he wanted to make sure it matched!!), and had our shower back up and running in less than an hour. Would I recommend Lloyds and especially John? Absolutely. Should you use them? 100% yes. Just dont try to change a shower head yourself...

Comment: I had to get a toilet replaced. Lloyds sent the plumber Rudy who called me when he was on his way. He even arrived a little ahead of schedule (which seems rare these days). Rudy was very kind and professional, worked very fast, and did an amazing job. Because toilets are really heavy I offered to help lifting them. But Rudy knew the right technique. He took the old toilet out and put the new one in without my help and without creating a mess. I already had bought a wax ring and a new flexible water line to connect the tank and offered that to Rudy. Though, he thankfully declined and said that he will use his own materials because they are better quality and have proven to work well.He adjusted the filling level perfectly and applied a very nice grout between the floor and the toilet. Once he was done he nicely cleaned up so the bathroom was ready to use. Lloyds really has well trained people that know their stuff and get things done right so they work well and last a long time. Thus, I can only highly recommend them.After this great experience I referred a good friend who had a blocked sewer line to Lloyds. She had already hired a highly rated plumbing company that first installed a clean out and then told her that the main sewer line in the front yard is broken and needs to be replaced, and that the bottom of the sewer pipes below the house are rusted through (aka bottomed out), too. Lloyds inspected the pipes with a camera and found the pipes under the house to be ok. They ended up replacing her sewer line for less than the first offer from the other company, plus saved her the cost for replacing the pipes under the house.No need to mention that she was very happy. :-)

Lloyd’s gave me a complimentary full camera drain examination, which allowed them to pinpoint the precise location and extent of the root damage and blockage. They gave me a repair estimate the same day, for a spot repair, as the rest of the drain was intact. They scheduled the repair within a few days. They replaced a short section of the drain, installed two new clean-outs, filled the hole and repaired the concrete sidewalk over the leak. They were exceptionally thorough and professional. The job, in addition was completed in 1/3rd less time that was expected considering the difficulty of the terrain, crawl space, and impediments having to crawl through under the house. A follow up hydro camera and hydrojet was conducted after the sewer pipe transformation to insure there was also clear passage from the under house pipes to the sewage line. Comment: Great experience with Kristen answering the front desk and Jesse doing the repair. We had a pilot assembly go out, and they not only replaced the assembly but also the control valve as well. Extremely timely and quick. Very clean work. They were scheduled from 1-4pm but called about 20 minutes after I called in and asked if we wanted someone to stop by within 10 minutes and we said SURE! Overall, I was very happy with everything. Comment: Lloyds hydro-jetted my irrigation drains about a year ago for several thousand dollars in lieu of destroying the landscape to repair and replace pipes for over $10k. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter we had our rains and discovered that the drains had a slight improvement. I chalked this up to roots, broken pipes, etc. Now, Im having my landscape redone and discovered it was repairable without tearing up the hardscape or replacing pipes. Im not saying Lloyds did a poor job or wasnt professional, but rather this may not be in their wheelhouse or cost effective.
