Comment: An Iconic Horse Show facility that should always stay right here ! I was an official here the first day they opened ..It is so important for the horse community and the events they bring. Rare to have such a complete facility in the middle of one of the biggest cities in the world.I am a veteran horse show official of 48 years and more than a thousand shows I cannot emphasize how important this place is to our past and our future ! The horse is one of the best partners human beings have in all of history. This place will always respect and represent them if people who love horses support it.

Comment: ALMOST LIKE A PRIVATE PARK....for selfish reasons, I didnt want to post anything about the Equestrian Center. Im concerned if the word gets out the foot traffic will increase.I dont utilize 99% of the equation center, but sometimes I walk around in the equestrian center for a change in scenery. I really enjoy some of the grassy areas. Its a great place to enjoy the outdoors and read a book.

Comment: I visited A barn Everwood Stables at the equestrian center because I was curious about riding horses. Ginny Plancke and her assistant Rose Kauffman-Skloff were by far the most understanding, helpful and experienced trainers Ive ever had the privilege to meet. If you or anyone is looking for a highly regarded equestrian trainer I would strongly suggest looking into Everwood Stables located at A barn in the Burbank equestrian center. The stables were clean, horses were happy and well looked after and you could tell by the staffs attitude that they cared.

Comment: I don’t think you can find a better place than this. This is like an oasis in the city. Everyone can have fun here. Learning how to ride a horse and seeing beautiful animals while your own kids are getting better on the horse back.This is place is huge. With 3 equestrian schools, I believe. You can find instructors that is right for your level and you can also make friends here.Most of the places here have no shades and it is hot in the summer, or most of the time. Sunblock is recommended as well as mask to block the dusk in case you are sensitive to dust.If you don’t ride horses or you don’t have anything to do here, walking around here is also a good option to exercise and to keep you healthy.Most people here are nice. The manager, Dale, showed me around on his golf cart and chatted with me. He said he could help with any questions and he’s lived on the premises for years.Love this place, but please drive carefully as the animals are easily scared and they can be seen walking on the streets around here as well.

Comment: We were here for a horse show hosted by West Palms. The facility has retained its classic charm but has been upgraded to current standards. Spectator areas were comfortable and inviting. We stayed in one of the grassy RV spaces. It was convenient and maintained extremely well. Maintenance was out daily for trash pick up, bathrooms, and even cleaning up after dogs. The trails on the property and off are an added bonus. Great family oriented venue

Comment: A must-see for L.A. residents who have already seen the major sights. The Equestfest event prior to the Rose Parade (usually the weekend before, or thereabouts) is a great opportunity to see this facility at its best and busiest. The facilities are nice, with stands set up under shade for a great view of performances. Note that the seat are hard metal, so bring cushions if you need them, and if you are tall, you will have the usual leg-room issues you have at other similar venues. Come early, and be prepared for a great show of equestrian perfection. Also, wear suitable footwear, the parking lot is dirt and can be muddy, and the area by the stalls has both mud and horse manure.

The reason I went here (the first time) was to be distracted from the grief I was feeling from the death of my beloved dog, who had passed a few hours earlier. I was pretty distraught, and was talking with a friend who owns a horse at the equestrian center and asked if I wanted to go there.And so we did. The horses there are all so beautiful and such sweet creatures that for a little while I was able to get out of my head and appreciate the moment, spending time petting and brushing these magnificent animals.Now thats probably not the reason most people would go here, but horses are such amazing animals to be around, and whatever your reason for going here, Im sure it will be worth the trip

Such a well oiled working machine that maintains its beauty and cleanliness..... which we all know can be hard with horses❤️🤪The access to mountain trails, the amount of rings/riding areas, the setup and the amazing staff is any horse person’s dream.I love how green they are with recycling and repurposing the manure and water.A must visit whether it is for a show, an event (party, weddings, meetings etc), horse camp or for your personal horse’s home!One of the best facilities I’ve ever seen that offers so much!Loved this place!

Comment: I visited the equestrian center for the 2018 EquestFest. This is a preview show for the horses featured at the 2019 Rose Parade. The show area inside and out was very clean. It smelled like horses but not like manuer. Which speaks to the cleanliness of the site.On site cafe. Clean restrooms. Food if tastey but also $$$. 15$ for 2 tacos. 7$ for 16 oz of natural fruit waters. Lovely experience.

Comment: Always love coming here. The show barns are well placed, with stalls that are not only spacious, but solid! The wide aisles between barns allow for drive thru and drop off of all your tack, hay, shavings and horses. Barns have 50 stalls per barn and are 25 stalls long. Bring a long hose, there are only two small faucets per long side. There are a few four outlet electrical boxes per long side, so you can bring your clippers etc. For touch ups. The staff here is stellar ! Ben and Karen take such good care of you; they truly want your experience here to be positive and as stress free as possible. The footing in the arenas has always been top notch, and kept watered well groomed. Amenities and other services are very close by, as well as some fun activities for all in case you or your horse need a break. If you have the opportunity, LAEC is a Must Do.

Comment: This is an amazing asset for horse-lovers. Few large cities have such large and varied equestrian facilities. My only issue is that the asphalt roads and parking lots are in very poor repair. Potholes and fugitive dust are everywhere and not a streetsweeper in sight. With so much horse dung in the area, the air is not as clean as it should be.

Comment: Came to do horse back riding for my mothers birthday. We had a group of 6, we where greater very nicely and assisted to fill out the necessary forms to use the horses. $25 for 1 hour ride at the Griffith Park trails. The houses where in very good shape and well taken care of. This was my first time riding and after a short intro and instructions from the guide I found it to be very easy and nice. The guide guy was very friendly and talkative with us as we rode on the trails. My house was in a rush he just kept wanting to go faster and be ahead if the group. Once we came back we where able to take the horses back to the loading area with no problems and the staff was helpful to assist us. Very nice experience and reasonable.
