Comment: Ive had lots of bad experiences at Lowes lately, so Ive gone more towards HD in recent years.However, I needed to buy a patio table today and Lowes had better options, so I purchased one. It took longer than Id like because there was a strangely long backlog of people in the grill/patio furniture area, but I felt the need to leave a review because this gentleman named Philip is one of the best associates Ive had the pleasure of interacting with in a store like this.Extremely patient (with multiple customers bearing down on him), caring (the guy he called to get the table from the back took his time, and while Philip was working with another customer he was still worried about me and wanted to make sure I was being taken care of), and very obviously knows what hes doing (I at first asked another associate about the patio table and she literally pointed to Philip and was like that guy, on top of me seeing him delegating tasks to multiple people, haha).I feel like if Philip isnt running this whole store, he really should be.

My wife and I were asking a few questions on cabinets, and Jians responses were rude and unprofessional.1/ She referred the diamond express cabinets in showroom as cheap and low-end ones.2/ When we asked her whether Lowes also provided installation service, her response was our team did not do the cheap job.3/ She was impatient with our questions on styles and colors, and told us to check websites.

Comment: BEWARE: THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR RETURN POLICY.I tried to return a mini fridge that was brand new in a box, sealed, and unopened. Their policy states that this may be returned within 30 days (this is an exception to their 48-hour appliance return policy). When I tried to return it, they declined it. Then, I call customer service 3x:1. The first rep told me that they will pick up the item and give me a refund. Nope, nothing happened.2. The second rep told me this case was escalated. Nothing happened.3. The third rep finally told me that the store manager claimed that the item was already opened, which was a STRAIGHT UP LIE. They can check their own security footage, I brought the item sealed, and the store personnel opened it in front of me to check the item inside the box.What a shame that a big company like Lowes is doing such a bad business practice. I already reported this to the FTC. Im sure Im not the only victim, because they said the system denied it and theres no way to override, which means, everyone whos trying to return a brand new appliance in original box within 30 days would be screwed.

Comment: This is a cautionary tale.. dont bother calling this store. You would do better to either drive there and speak to someone in person. Or go online Theyre very nice in person. I spent 30 minutes on hold. In that trying to check on one item. It would have taken 3 seconds to tell me they didnt have. While on hold I drove to there store and talk to 3 people. Looked for the item in the store all while STILL ON HOLD. So dont call them. Otherwise very nice store.

Comment: Save yourself some trouble and dont buy at this place.Bought a water heater and the item arrived with serious dents on both the top and the bottom. Took it back to Lowes and here is what we found,1. You need a RA number from A.O. Smith to replace it, and A.O. Smith doesnt have a 24 hour line. So you are basically stuck with a defective item for 2 days if you bought it on Saturday.2. When we finally got the RA number the next Monday (we already bought a new water heater of another brand and installed it), the store refused to return it, saying they can only replace it with a new one. After arguing with them for, say, 15 minutes, I had to ask them what if I replace it with a new one and then return that new one, the manager reluctantly checked the rules and reluctantly said okay.Seems like they only care about themselves and not for once think about the trouble they have caused the customer. Given the amount of stress you are already under without hot water, dont buy from them.My new year wish just changed to wishing certain company go out of business…

Comment: This location is reasonably well-stocked and most of the staff is helpful though thinly spread. Some are neither friendly nor helpful and give off a former Frys employee vibe of I-suspect-everyone-and-know-nothing-about-the-merchandise. Best to know what you want before you arrive. The self check stations dont accept epay such as Apple or Google Pay; you have to go to one of the attended stations. Merchandise feels a bit more geared to the weekend do-it-yourself customer than Home Depot; that said you can usually find comparable items at both, and oftentimes may have in stock what others are sold out of. Definitely worth checking out and comparison shopping.

Comment: An older woman working the garden section register was very upset that I had a cart full of plants. She didn’t want to search for the bar codes so I handed her each plant and she insisted some items in the cart weren’t scanned so she scanned them again (when I got home I was double charged for 3 items). She asked me to hand her the cactus and I said “you mean the dragon fruit?” and she said “whatever, I don’t care anymore”. She told other people to get out of line and go do self check out so that she wouldn’t have a line. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time, she was making me feel nervous and unwanted.

Comment: Standard Lowes store. I wanted to make a comment while Im still at the store (@ 3:58 pm). If youre not a pro member, dont enter through the pro member entrance. I accidentally entered through the pro members entrance and asked the pro member cashier where do I make returns and she pointed down the store and demanded i turn around and walk back all the way down from the outside to enter through the other side. If I had a bag or something I would have felt like, yeah it makes sense because I could potentially steal whatever and put it in my bag but this was not the case for I only had my wallet and my item I wanted to return. Call me sensitive, but im just saying this for theregular customers whose having a bad day and happens to enter this store through the pro members entrance, and save them from the shame and embarrassment. Trust and believe Ill never make that same mistake again!

Comment: I hate to write reviews like this, but a recent incident at this Lowes really made me question humanity. I called the store to inquire about a return I had made the previous day. What happened next was shocking. A lady answered the phone, sounding extremely rude and offering no help. When I asked for her name to document the incident, she responded by saying, I was born without a name and started giggling with her coworkers in the background. She then hung up on me. I was in shock. I called back a few more times, and each time, after hearing my voice, they purposely hung up on me. I was so upset that I drove to that Lowes store, even though I was far away, to see if I could speak to the store manager about the behavior of their employees. I now have a fear of ever buying anything from this Lowes store. The treatment I received from this Lowes really made me question humanity. I placed an order for a washer /dryer set bc they were the only place close to me to sell acertain compact model. I was just trying to understand and coordinate the delivery and haul away - and the staff were rude and refused to answer any questions. They simply would pass the buck and push me to an automated system to get a tracking link. The tracking link gives a delivery estimate w a 12 hour window.They truly do not care - so if you plan to order from here - mentally prepare yourself to be on your own.

Comment: For the most part, just a very standard Lowes. This complaint is specifically about the customer service related to their rental carpet cleaners.I was given a unit in fairly mediocre but working condition (dirty water tank, lots of hair and dryer lint in the roller) - no big deal, its a rental right? A little grime and wear is expected. I dont have any carpet so I normally have no reason to own a carpet cleaner, this is the best Ill need anyway.As I was only using the hose attachment to spot clean my (pretty new!) couch of a milk spill, none of the above was any issue. I clean the water tank, and go to return it in a better state than I received it.When I try to return the unit, they tell me they will not refund the $75 cleaning deposit. After going back home to thoroughly wash the waste tank with soap and water, and painstakingly untangle the hair and lint on the bottom roller (which, again, I never even used, and couldnt POSSIBLY use because I have carpetless floors), and escalating twice to the assistant manager in the store, they begrudgingly give me most of the deposit back, but STILL charge a $25 cleaning fee, despite getting the unit back in MUCH better condition. At this point its a waste of my time to argue the remaining amount, even on principle, so I take the loss and leave. And Im sure the folks at the front desk tried their best to give what they could, but I could tell their hands were tied at that point.Final score,Me:- Minus $25- A lesson to always inspect the rental thoroughly and to never trust Lowes again.Sunnyvale Lowes:- Plus $25- A 1* review- Losing a frequent high spending DIY customerP.S. a word of advice to the store manager David Fogg who was not present at that time: you need to give your employees more leeway to accommodate customers. You lost thousands of revenue to Home Depot over a $25 cleaning fee. Hope it was worth it!

It took 20 minutes and asking five different people till I finally could get somebody to come to the area where the tool was locked up and get it available for me to purchase. Even the lady that opened the cage for me to get the tool gave me attitude and acted like she was doing me the biggest favor for opening the cage. If it wasnt for the sale they had where you get a free battery pack with the purchase of the tool I would have walked right out. Horrible customer service.

Comment: The other day I was at this store shopping for tools, I stood in the tool area for an hour looking and waiting for assistance and when I finally got someones attention, who actually stopped, they acted like they were annoyed and that I was bothering them. They then said Id have to wait for the person responsible for that area to help me. Once that individual arrived, I explained what I wanted and it took 20 more min for that person to come back to me with what I had asked for. Meanwhile, another lady who was upset with the service she was receiving started walking around the store looking for someone to help her and she returned saying the guy who was helping me was sitting behind a counter chatting with his co-workers.I just moved to this area and so I just started becoming a customer of this Lowes location and just about every visit is the same....extremally poor customer service! Beyond Bad!LATER IN THE WEEK: Today (SAT) I was having materials delivered and I made a special trip to make sure I was available within the 4 hour window, which of course they were delivered in the fourth hour, (delivery guy was great) and when my order arrived I had the critical things I needed missing. They were critical because the only reason I choose delivery was because of the size of these particular items.I tried calling the store several times to help correct the issue with the missing items and was hung up on and when I tried calling back no one answered. I then called the 1-800 number and the service rep there was very nice and helpful but unfortunately the answer I received was that I would be contacted by someone at the store.UPDATE: I was never contacted by the store within 24 hrs as I was told and I have spent the last hour, not exaggerating, just to get someone to take my call. I have been hung up on, transferred and ignored. In addition I have found out that not only were items not delivered but some items that were delivered were documented as not delivered. Just a total mess for a simple everyday transaction.Meanwhile during my hold time I have been texting with a Home Depot about a receipt I lost and they were easy, happy to assist and able to provide me with what I requested.As I was typing I was just hung up on again.I will be canceling my business account today and will never return.UPDATE #2: I finally got ahold of someone and as I was giving her my information I was hung up on again. I called back and after 15+ min someone else answered and started asking me the same info as before. I was explaining to this person that I just went through this after working on getting someone to take my call for over an hour and she said people move around. I told her that I didnt appreciate the way she was speaking with me and she said she was putting me back on hold and she did. A few min later I received a call from a nice gentleman, Javier, and he was apologetic and is saying he will take care of my issues. We will see.UPDATE #3: Javier never called back and never helped resolve my issue. I had resorted back to calling the 1-800 number again and they said there was no record of my first call and explained to me once again that someone from the store would follow up within 24 hours. Never received a call! I also saw that there was a response below to my review and not only have I been calling this number for help but they could have also called me to resolve but posting their comment was as about as far as I believe they cared to go to resolve my issue. Once again, well below par.UPDATE #4: Still havent received all of my items that were to be delivered 3 weeks ago.

Comment: During the evening they close the entrance through the garden area, but you can still buy the plants form the inside. It means that comparing the plants outside and those inside gets a bit more difficult. There are a lot of colorful buckets placed throughout the store, but I couldnt really see how expensive they were. Actual buckets are in aisle 5.Screws and bolts are annoyingly inside bags with no samples (not even attached to the boards) to try things out.Although the employees seem disinterested and preoccupied I found their knowledge and advice to be excellent. There is only a self check out.

I went around 1030am with my sons, we come once a week or more because my son is on the spectrum and loves the fans and lights. Its safe to say I spend wayyyy to much money here every week. They lost my business today due to their customer service dealing with false advertising and care for customers. First off I found a light set (pictured) on sale. I even asked the employee Herb about it and the length of it. I came to the self check out and they said it is the wrong item... and made me go with my sons to go get a photo of it.... Crystal said the box matched what it was on the box completely... but the numbers dont match because they put the new product out but didnt remove the sale price of the old box above... literally the same product! I wanted the same price due to their false advertising.... they said they cant do it. I am not coming back due to not doing what was right, fixing their mistake. I am more than happy to take this down if Lowes wants to do what is right. I dont blame Crystal or herb, they were nice just following the rules of corporate... if you dont believe me look at your cameras today at 11am. Thank you.

Comment: We bought a dishwasher from them that is a dud. It often fills the house with a burning plastic that is so bad we have to leave, and they wont repair it or replace it. They sent us to their repair line which was the worst customer service, taking forever to get an appointment, and they sent a 1 star scam repair company, after more than a week without us having a washer, and the company didnt do anything. It wasnt smoking when they tested it. And they didnt even go looking for where the melting or burning was. When we complained they said they would charge us to come out.Lowes, get your act together, service your own customers, and stop using scam 1 star repair people.And fix or replace our dishwasherUpdate: We had 6 more repairs organized, 4 were no-shows.One came and said well, if it is working, you should just ignore the smoke. Run some vinegar through it. So we did, the house filled with smoke a few more times, and then the machine burned out and now doesnt even turn on.After calling them multiple times since then, we have had more no shows. The comment below from them to call them again to have it fixed was so useless. We have called that number multiple times. The employee who was helping the previous customer, a guy with a large beard, finished assisting them and simply walked away from me without acknowledging my presence.I politely asked him for assistance with returning an item, to which he replied that he would be back and then disappeared, leaving me waiting for about 10 minutes. Sadly, he never returned, and I noticed another employee, named Vara, helping customers behind me. Feeling frustrated, I waited patiently for her to finish with all customers on that line and finally approached her to seek help.To my surprise, Vara informed me that I was standing at the station next to her station so she wasnt aware of my presence. This miscommunication was irritating, but what made matters worse was that I couldnt access the internet on my phone to retrieve the order number. There was no signal inside the store for my Verizon - Google phone which meant I couldnt get online while inside the store.I pointed to the barcode stickers on the items I wanted to return, hoping that Vara could use them to retrieve the necessary information. Instead, she insisted on having the item number, which my items apparently lacked. I received these items as they were delivered to me, so I couldnt provide the requested number.Frustrated and about to leave to find a signal outside, I noticed Vara looking at the stickers I had pointed out earlier and manually typing something into the computer. To my disbelief, she was able to retrieve all the information she needed from those stickers, making me wonder why I had wasted more than 5 minutes trying to get a signal when she could have done it from the start.Apart from the inefficiency, Varas attitude was not particularly friendly. I understand that people in such positions may not earn much, but it is still a job, and customer service should be a priority. If someone is unhappy in their role, they should consider finding another one where they can perform better.In conclusion, my experience at Lowes was marked by poor communication, unnecessary delays, and an unhelpful attitude from one of the employees. I hope that such issues can be addressed to improve the overall customer experience at the store.

After many calls finally had them Installed in late March 2023, more materials had to be ordered to complete install because Lowes employee didn’t order correct material, waited another 3 weeks to complete job. The main window latch was defective and didn’t close properly. I was told by Installer, Lowes would take care of it. It’s July, I’ve called Lowe’s multiple times for an update, asked to speak to a Manager, left my call back number. Never received a call from Lowe’s or Installer. I called Pella directly they apologized and confirmed they never received a request from Lowe’s or Installer.Lowes just lost a Good Customer. I spent over $10k for windows. Comment: Would recommend you measure out your plywood before asking staff to cut at the saw. I asked Eric to cut a 4x8 foot plywood board for me into 3.5 x 5.5 feet for my project. At first he complained loudly to his coworker that it was “a shame they fixed the saw” and then began to mark the board incorrectly. When I tried to correct him, telling him again that I was giving him the length and width, he told me in an irritable tone he knew what he was doing. He then cut the board into three pieces and none of the pieces were even close to being 3.5x5.5 feet. It was more than a foot off on either end. This ruined the board for my project. I recommend going to the nearby Home Depot or a family owned business. At least the cashier was nice.

Comment: All I can rate is the garden center because this is all I perused. The Lowes near me is south BEYOND my house, and as I was coming from church, which is in another city quite NORTH of my house, so going to my Lowes wouldve been out of my way.So I decided on this Lowes. It was my first visit ever, and I didnt know where the things I was looking for were, so I went into the building and made my way to the garden center and then back outside because what I was there for was outside...of course, right?So, I was there for tomato cages, but inevitably I bought MORE because I made the mistake of checking out the fruits and vegetables there. As Im establishing a kitchen garden at my new house, trying to get healthy and grow as much produce as I can, I want a diverse garden. They had some fruit and vegetables that I hadnt seen and were having a sale, so I got what looked good to me.The unfortunate thing was that way too many of the plants I came across were dry. The fortunate thing was that there was a man watering some plants. I took the plants I wanted to him, and he very graciously watered each plant for me, apologizing for getting me wet in the process. (Very considerate of him but not necessary. I love water and getting wet (still love splashing in puddles!) and gardening, so even though I was in my Sunday best for church, I was okay with a little splashing!)Anyhow, mine was a quick visit. The only issue I had was in getting the heavy potting mixes INTO and OUT OF my cart and then into my car. Unfortunately, we live in a post-chivalry society thanks to the bloody feminists, so even though there were men around, none offered to help me lift the heavy bags. (At Home Depot a few months ago when I was buying some potting soil and lemon and lime trees, a gentleman was on the phone and saw me struggling to get the heavy bags into my cart, and he very chivalrous offered to help me, which I GLADLY accepted!) This trip, I was in HIGH heels...but no gentleman in sight, so I struggled to get the bags into the cart and then into the car. Not even a Lowes employee around to offer assistance (even at grocery stores they offer a bagger to see you to your car, and the bags are usually A LOT LESS grueling than potting mixes and fruit trees!).Anyhow, that was the only drawback to my visit to this Lowes. Otherwise, I got what I wanted, so it was a successful visit.

Comment: Today was my first time trying curbside pick up in this store. I purchased garden soil and got Email said my order was ready to pick up. Then I drove to the pick up parking spot, submitted the online registration. Waited about 20 mins, time past but there was no body showing up. I called the store, got contacted with someone but only heard background noises. No one speaks and feels like they picked up the phone then put it aside. Then I walked into the store, 4 stuffs at the front desk with 2 clients. I was asking do I need to come in store to show up the barcode even I chose curbside pick up? The lady said no, they were just busy with some other people. Fine, I went back to my car, 5 mins later this lady got my stuffs outside and just leave the shopping cart back of my car then she walked away directly! I chose curbside because I got lower back pain but I have to put those soil all by myself, also 6 out of 10 bags of the soils were damaged! The soil was leaking out in my car! I have tried so many curbside pick up in different stores. Never had such horrible experience like today! The Home Depot, Target, I never think curbside pick up is like this! Horrible bad customer experience and won’t come again!

Comment: I went here for getting garden supplies and spring blooms and the good thing is that planting pots are very cheap in comparison with anything in amazon or Walmart. Also, huge variety of plants are available for purchase depending on the season . So far this is a perfect place with optimised prices for plants and there are so many to choose from.Cons: if your payment gets stuck then it might take half an hour for them to figure things out. The overall service is very slow. So alls good as long as you are doing everything on your own.

Comment: Sunnyvale LowesI had a lovely Saturday morning! I had pre-ordered both a power washer and an attachment to clean my deck. At the endcap there was the exact two things I wanted combine in one box where the attachment was free! I feel like lowes anticipated my needs. I brought the combine box over to the check out and was well taken care of. My pre-order was canceled simply and I was able to also buy some extra attachments that I was interested in.While I was there, the fellow in front of me was completely out of control. His face was turning red and he was using a raised voice. I was a little startled but then listened to how the manager, David, was handling it and knew it was going to be okay. David calmly repeated back what the customer said and defused the situation as much as I believe could be with how irate this man was. David offered a refund and asked what the expectations were for the conversation. The man just kept yelling and repeating showing no signs of critical thought. Jennifer B and Maria Gares were the sales associates and helped me through my transaction. They were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I could tell this person was upsetting them and it makes me so sad to see such compassionate people be treated like that.With the volume of the other conversation, I couldnt help but hear what was going on. The man stormed out. Curious, I inspected the order that he believed was damaged. I noticed there was a small rip in the protective plastic of the french door and some wood barbs left over from manufacturing, all of which I would expect. I used to work as a carpenter. The door was not warped, which is what I would worry about as someone who would have to hang it. The barbs would easily come off with a fine sandpaper, and even if there were none, I always sand and re-prime before I paint. I like the factory primer, but dont trust it and understand it more as a way to seal the wood in so that it wouldnt arrive with environmental damage and bow from moisture. Untreated wood can be fickle sometimes.I think the man just didnt have very much experience in fine carpentry and needed to yell. Were having a supply chain shortage, were in a pandemic, and in general the times are unstable. I hope this fellow takes some deep breaths, and learns to appreciate the kindness that David, Maria, and Jennifer showed to him today. I did and I hope corporate compensates this team well. They are top talent and were tested in an unfortunate way this morning.

The person who came didnt really know anything, just read things off the product sheet posted there which I couldve done myself.Then on the way out I wanted to pick out a patio chair and buy it. It was held down by locked steel cables to avoid theft so I asked someone to come unlock it so I can pick one out, pay $40 and take it home. The salesman was nice and showed the half dozen counter depth refrigerators on display - few of which were in stock for rapid delivery. I choose a Whirlpool counter depth side-by-side model which was in stock for delivery on Monday, Jan 10.That evening I get a call saying the two refrigerators in stock are actually returned, damaged units so the refrigerator had to come from the warehouse which had 200 units in stock so delivery would be delayed a week to Saturday, Jan 15. This Lowes is so incompetent they cant even do effective inventory management - a basic requirement of any retail sales store! STRIKE ONEOn Sunday, Jan 9 I returned to the store to explore alternatives. There were no other counter depth refrigerators in their stock other than GE which I will never purchase again after all the problems I had with the $3000 GE Cafe refrigerator purchased in 2013 or an LG with a computer screen in the door and wi-fi for $1500 more than the $2000 Whirlpool.I inquired whether nearby Lowes stores had the Whirlpool model in stock. Yes in southern San Jose but I would have to cancel this order, drive in person to that store and re-purchase the refrigerator. There is NO cooperation between Lowes stores by design - an unacceptable company policy! STRIKE TWOI left and went to the nearby Home Depot at Kifer Rd. and Fair Oaks. That store had only three counter depth models and no sales personnel so I couldnt even see if any were in stock. This store is useless.I ended up waiting the week and throwing out $300 worth of spoiled food. On Friday, Jan 14 I get an automated call after 6PM saying my refrigerator would be delivered the following day and the delivery window would be 8 am to 8 pm. November rolled in, no window, no contacts from Lowes. After multiple calls, emails and hours of waiting on the phone, I got to know the order was delayed till Dec. I wanted to cancel the order, and they gave me new POCs to work with, and promised a discount. None of the POCs responded to my follow-ups, no discount was provided. Its December, still no windows, no communication. I feel so frustrated and helpless - since when does a customer get ghosted on?! Save yourself time and possible frustration. Comment: My wife and I returned some blinds that were too big for our windows the young lady helping us was rude and then when we asked her about the credit she said to us it was credited to your card. We then purchased 3 more sets of blinds but when we got home to put them up the hardware was missing and they weren’t even the correct size that was stated on the box they were way to small so we made another trip to return those ones. At this time we also checked our account to see if we received our credit back from the previous purchase which we had not. When returning the second set of blinds we asked the girl how long before the credit would be credited she said 16 days i was a little bit upset because we spent a lot and then to have to come back to get different ones. She offered us a credit to the card or cash since we used our atm card. The service is horrible and the staff need to all do the same the first worker should of offered the same to us. I just had a feeling that this mess would not end in 10min for sure, so I refused to wait and gave up the shipping refund. Comment: Their customer service agents have no interest in helping.I received an outdoor bench via online order. The delivery guys were awesome. However, the bench itself was defective such that I couldnt fully assemble it. I called and the service agent said I had to return the bench to the store for an exchange, or I had to pay $80 to have them pick it up. This didnt make sense for something so big, so I called Lowes corporate. They said this was not the policy at all, especially for defective items.After hearing from corporate, the Sunnyvale store manager called me and said to expect a call from the delivery guys the next day for info regarding the delivery of a new bench to replace the defective one. No call came, so I called Sunnyvale and inquired with the service agent about the status of the delivery. They said no delivery was ever scheduled and would not even check with the receiving department if they knew anything. The customer service provided absolutely no service or help. They then placed me on hold for an extended period of time, implying they were looking into the issue. Outside of intermittent check-ins by other agents who thought I was a new caller, after about 90 min, they simply hung up on me.I cant believe this is how they treat their customers.

Comment: The only reason I give this store or Lowes in general three stars, its for the selection and inventory they have. As for customer service I give it a zero. Once in awhile you will find either a longtime employee comfortable enough in the politics to be able to help a customer without being reprimanded, or a very new employee, who really doesnt know better and they may be helpful. I used to work at Lowes. So I know firsthand what management tells their employees about customer service. During the training, they do impress upon us how important the customer is. The customer is number one. They show us videos of an employee being very friendly and helpful to customers. They tell us that we are look out for the customer who needs help. We are given a number of scenarios and ways in which we can effectively help a customer. I thought this is great I know all about the trades and I love helping people. When I did help the customer, they would first be shocked. Time and time again, I would hear the same thing, that they could never find anyone to help them in these stores. The first time my manager saw me helping a bewildered customer, because I was helping them, she indicated for me to come see her. When I did, she raked me over the coals. She was Furious that I was wasting my time with customers instead of straightening the shelves out. I did not learn my lesson the first time, this happened a number of times. She would get Furious and drilled it into me over and over again, if I see a customer that looks like they need help, walk the other way and avoid them. I would ask her about the training. She explained that was just for show, customers will eventually figure figure it out.

My favorite thing about Lowes is the complete variety of items, sizes, & vendors they stock, so the customer It was about 9pm & not many staff members stocking on the floor, but when I called for assistance, 2 employees responded in 2-3 mins. I do prefer the friendly helpfulness of Lowes staff members, compared to other hardware stores. They never seem to mind helping you, & usually even escort you to where you need to be (A great help in these huge warehouse stores!!) Comment: Has to be one of the worst stores I’ve ever had the opportunity to buy from. I ordered a refrigerator from this store, and was my first purchase at Lowe’s. I fail to understand the customer service component of this company. Here are the issues that I found:1) my online order was automatically split between two stores creating confusion in me trying to reach out for support for the different appliances I had ordered2) order delivered without a handyman for delivery and basic hookup. The appliance sat in my garage for 1 week while I was trying to get in touch with the specific store to send out a service delivery team. Why deliver the appliance when I specifically mentioned that I need delivery with foreman services included?3) I had to call up the store probably more than 5 times to let them know that hookup was not done. In each case, someone at the store let me know that a service delivery ticket has been created and expected delivery date was communicated. But it was always a no show, and subsequent communication to the store involved me arguing with the associate about them not finding my prior request 🤯4) I ordered a four man service for getting the refrigerator to the second floor and basic hookup and they sent 2 people to do basic hookups services, TWICE. A real bad case of not hearing out what the customer is asking for.5) Good luck with someone picking up the phone if you ask for delivery or installation. The workers were extremely rude and would constantly threaten to reschedule if I brought up any complaints with what they were doing. Get your appliances from somewhere else; based on my experiences, Lowes will not only make this into a bigger issue than it needs to be, but theyll drag out the process (what should have been a one day installation ended up resulting in three reschedules) and they simply dont care about providing you with a good customer experience. I spent an hour with the Lowe’s.com customer service agent who confirmed that my delivery date has changed and the order will be delivered the next day and it will come from this store in Sunnyvale. The online status also said ready for delivery from Sunnyvale store. 10mins later I received an email saying the delivery date is an month later. When I called the store and spoke with the assistant manager, they mentioned that the delivery store has now changed. I finally got help to put a heavy product in the cart and when I got to the front to pay, I saw that the box was damaged. I got help from another staff, who was super nice, and we opened the box. We found that the product was broken. THANK GOD they were willing to help me. If I got back to the house with a broken item I got sure would have cried. There should be an option for me to give negative stars....We ordered a washer/dryer from where that was suppose to be delivered two weeks within purchase. Nothing was delivered on the delivery date so we called and they said the washer and dryer were back ordered and to call a different number to check. We called the other number and they gave us a different number again. THIS HAPPENED EIGHT times. Finally we got a new delivery date.Long story short -- they missed the delivery date another three times. The washer and dryer was finally delivered a month after we ordered it...after countless frustrating phone calls. When they finally did deliver they gave us a delivery time window of 3-5pm. They did not arrive until 5:30pm. I am never going to order anything from Lowes again! Go to Home Depot!!! They have better service anyways.

Comment: My goodness, what a bunch of clowns these people at Lowes are, my sincere advice to you is to never purchase anything online or in any Lowes store. Heres what happened, I purchased a dishwasher at Lowes online and want it delivered to my address in Half Moon Bay. That went smoothly anyway, until an hour later when an employee at the Sunnyvale store phoned me and said that Half Moon bay is outside the Sunnyvale 20 mile radius and they could not deliver!!! Im like ... W.T.H.? I dont care that Sunnyvale Lowes cant deliver, I purchased online, so why is the Sunnyvale store getting involved ??? ... it so happens that Lowes have this stupid @$$ logic that guesses your closest Lowes store, and then sticks you to that as your default store, so if your delivery address is 20+ miles further from this default store, then they cant deliver, and they have no solution to re-route your order to a store that can deliver, isnt that insanely stupid? ... how are these guys still in business?Their Store personnel are a joke, you keep getting cut-off. Then I called their 800 help-line, the conversation with this guy was going good until I mentioned I wanted to cancel my order since the store cant deliver and theyre giving me no solution to get it delivered ... then guess what, that clown starting saying the line was going bad and he couldnt hear me! ... But the line quality was just fine until I mentioned I wanted to cancel my order! Wow, they must have a policy to say the line is going bad when you say you with want to cancel an order or what a refund.HERES A MESSAGE TO YOU JOKERS & CLOWNS AT LOWESSo guess what you Lowes Jokers ... theres a nice little agency called BBB, youll be getting a case against you for a a deficiency in the companys marketplace performance ... basically you stick a person to a default store incorrectly, if not within a 20 mile radius you cannot deliver, THEN attempts to get a refund for canceling an order does not result in a full refund. Basically for my $700 you dinged my card, you only gave me $33 refund, whats up with that?Oh yeah, and another thing, Ive disputed the transaction with my credit card issuer, so Ill be getting my Money back!QUICK UPDATE - Filing a BBB against them really works, I got a corporate issue resolution guy to get my money back on the card, I also got a Gift Card for the trouble, not that much, I think I could have haggled it up, but was not worth the time and energy already spent. Either way, never shopping here again, not out of spite, but really dont want to go through all the hoopla just to get an appliance or similar stuff delivered, Home Depot my friends, thats were Ill be shopping for my home improvement needs!

Comment: Ive had multiple occasions where the staff here have been much less than helpful. In one case a staff member wasnt paying attention to where she was pushing one of those big yellow steps on wheels into me while I was focused on trying to find the right sized drill bit. No apology, nothing but a stare. Ill always go to the other store that is nearby first because of this kind of behavior.

Comment: I recently ordered a washer and dryer from Lowes online. The ordering process was good, both washer and dryer showed in stock. I waited for 4 days without receiving any notice, called Lowes, was told my order has been cancelled, and no one bothered to tell me?!They apologized, said they could order another set for me over the phone. I needed washer and dryer urgently, so went ahead. 2 days later, I got the washer and dryer, but no power cord for dryer, so no installation, apparently it is a separate piece, and again, no one told me.I went to Lowes Sunnyvale store, purchased power cord and setup the service call in 2 days, I was there watched them entered my service call in their computer. When the day arrived, no one showed up. I called the store, was told there was no service call scheduled for me, really?! I asked if they could schedule another one, they said no because they couldnt find my order even I gave them everything I received in the email confirmation. What happened to Lowes? Do they have any customer service? Can I trust anything they said at all?I went online, googled how to install your washer and dryer, then completed the installation by myself. Now my mom is very proud of her daughter. I will never shop at Lowes again.

Comment: Their Levolor blind cutting machine was down for over week. Makes a whole isle of their store pretty useless. Was told it was getting fixed the next day multiple times. Never happened. Had to go to the San Jose Lowes. :(They also seem to have removed the service buttons you can push if no one is at the departmental desk. Absurd!

Comment: I bought a dryer and returned it two days after delivery because of a dent, and waited for the refund. Since then Ive visited the Sunnyvale store over 5 times, just to follow up this issue. They told me to wait; then told me they were processing the returned item; then they told me they couldnt find the order completely! The last visit I met the manager and again she told me to wait for her call back. But the next day I called the store only to find the manager was out of office until they didnt know when! No one else was able to help me with it. The refund experience is so awkward that I dont think Id buy any appliance at the store any more. Lastly, I want my money back.

Comment: Worse possible customer service. They told me my order is ready, and I asked him if my contractor could pick it up. The guy over phone was very rude and sounded very frustrated. He curtly told me that my contractor can just show up and give them my phone number. Later on when my contractor went to pick up the order, they told him none of the items are ready for pickup. So, I talked to him over phone and the lady was also very rude to tell me that if I want to pick up the order I need to go there to check if they are ready. So, I started driving to the store, and shortly got another call from my contractor that they found the order and were releasing the items, but he will have to wait at least 1 hour before they can do so. Stupidest situation at best.

Comment: The actual store is huge and has everything you need. Everything is well organized and it is well kept. They have good deals on a weekly basis as you might imagine. The parking lot is a mess, and can get confusing of how to get in and out if its your first time. But that being said, they have a pretty huge parking lot.I was personally there for a ceiling fan. The staff is knowledgeable about what they know and this is why my experience with the store was just okay. I had questions for them, but it seemed they were avoiding my question. They were nice though and were pleasant to talk to, but just not to get an answer from.So if you know what you want youll be in and out and will have a pleasant time. I just had an okay time with my purchase.

If you place an order online for something that is in stock, they prepare the order at an OK speed.Bad:1. Terrible terrible speed when I ordered something online which was not in stock and had to be shipped to the store. The first promised date was 5/30 then it was delayed to 6/9 then 6/17! And no notice on that, no calls or emails. Every time I had to call myself. I canceled the order eventually.2. Customer service was slow and needs more staff.DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE AND SHIP TO THE STORE! Their logistics simply sucks.

Comment: I am so angry with them. Purchased a LG dryer through Sunnyvale Lowes and paid for everything including attachments etc in mid May 2014. The people they contract to bring the dryer brought just the dryer without anything - no electric attachments, hoses, etc today on 5/26/14. All was paid for and shows on the receipt as paid. Called the store to find out what is going on, and they transferred us 4 stinking times. Cannot even get hold of a manager. Totally unacceptable. Returning the dyer and I will never, never buy anything like this from them. The sales clerk who put in the order was more interested in his darn cell phone than helping the customers. If l even held their stock, this would convince me to sell. SELL! I would urge everyone to be very, very careful about buying anything major from them. They might as close up the shop. No customer service and deceptive selling.

Comment: I asked a team member to help me with getting a large item off the top shelf. The man I asked said sure hed help. He walked off to get a ladder or lift and I waited. But when I saw him again, he was on the computer talking to somebody else who had walked up. I asked him why they got to cut in line and if I should go get someone else and he replied in a rude and dismissive manner. 10 minutes later, he was still on the computer so I went and got somebody else who kindly got my item. Very weird experience.
