Comment: Had a horrible experience at Home Depot in Carmichael off Madison. Should have stayed loyal since weve been coming to Lowes since we bought our house 3 years ago. Weve had to make multiple online pickup orders, returns, and exchanges through the last few years during our projects and never had a single issue. We make one order at Home Depot and its been non-stop issue after issue (if you want to see that drama, see my review for the Carmichael location). They employees here are friendlier and more knowledgable about what they sell. We shared laughs at the paint counter over our shade debocle and they not once seemed annoyed with us continously coming back.

Had to order another online, and Im hoping I dont receive the same unit (as they immediately returned this same damaged dishwasher back into their stock). I need to purchase blinds for my sliding door and have them cut to length and needed to know if anyone was able to cut them after 8 pm. The automated system transferred me to home decor, no one answered. Tried calling again to speak with a customer service associate, still no answer. Very dissatisfied with their customer service at this moment. Hopefully they correct this issue.

Comment: My visit here was great, I worked with Serge in the Millworks area he is a Excellent Associate and even though he was doing something else he stopped and helped me get a quick quote on the slab doors that I will be eventually ordering. He was very knowledgeable and great to work work really a great Associate!Overall visit around the store was also great there was a few items that we werent able to locate because some of the areas of the store get raided to accommodate up coming holiday areas and displays but all was ok I found an alternative. Thank you for a great experience today!

Comment: This occurred today around 11:30 a.m. My daughter purchased some items a week ago at the 7840 Greenback Ln. location. The items are unopened. I tried returning the items for her since I was in the vicinity. I was told by an assistant supervisor and a store supervisor that I needed the credit card used or the receipt of the purchase for store credit. I didnt have either of those items. I didnt think I needed it since my intention was to receive store credit.I noticed on the counter the refund policy, and it didnt state, You cant receive store credit if you didnt have the ordinal receipt or cc. Looked online and again, nothing stating what they were telling me. I asked how long this policy had been in place, and they both stated almost a year ago. They also said its stated on the receipt. Then I was told its discretionary to the store whom they provide store credit to or not. Looked at a sales receipt, and just as I thought, nothing there about needing the receipt or cc.Its not fair after you drive 30 minutes to be judged by people. This policy should be made clear, not left up to people to discriminate at their choosing. I wont be coming to this store again.

Comment: I was at this Lowe’s and felt targeted by the Lowe’s employees just because I wore a face mask and hat. I was doing my shopping when I passed an employee (probably a stocker since he didn’t have a vest but had a scanning tool (zebra)) in the isle/area he was at (garden area for reference). I moved down the the lumber sections (the opposite side of the warehouse) and he later moved away from his isle/area and coincidentally found me and came up to me to spark a “conversation” when he did not even attempt to when he saw me in his isle/area earlier. He proceeded to tell me that the isle/area where he and I was at had exactly what I needed. After our “conversation”, he went back to his isle/area. I headed there as he stated that the isle that I was previously at had what I was looking for. Lo and behold, the isle that he told me had it in fact did not (I asked him a few times during our “conversation” and he kept saying yes it is in that specific isle). He also happily and eagerly tried to sign me up for a Lowe’s card/account right then and there mid “conversation”. So mostly like, lost prevention was watching the cameras and told him to go find me and extract personal information from me all because I choose to wear a mask and a hat. Not trying to bring the politics of masking or not masking as you do you but I did and do felt that I was indeed targeted in this incident.

Comment: 3.8 ⭐ and dropping. By far the worst Lowes store ever. As a professional contractor who use to spend gobs of money here I will no longer be shopping at this store quite possibly any Lowes. How can you not return a two month old water heater that continues to stop working. They are purposely not crediting contractors accounts with their purchases so they dont get their bonus points. $25k purchase supposed to get 1.5% back and the only thing I hear from them is were working on it for months. Special order doors that dont fit the openings. And zero help. Management needs to be replaced. The only time I saw this store stocked with people is when corporate was doing a store walk recently. Thats the only day you can find somebody to work just make sure you go on a day when corporates doing a job walk and maybe someone can attempt to help. With being able to purchase stuff online and other local hardware stores I would think that their customer service would be so much better especially the contractors that are in there on a daily basis.

I was standing at an end of an isle looking at the mats when some young kid with curly dark hair cropped an attitude with me telling me to move rudely from where I was standing. I told him I was just grabbing a couple of mats. He turned his back walked away telling me I can wait. I told him I can shop somewhere else too. He just said yep and kept walking so my wife daughter and I left. There are plenty of hardware stores around so I wont be coming back to this one.

However the carpet was at Lowes for a week and they did not pick up, giving them more than 2 weeks time to fullfill their obligation. There is a lack of communication between Lowes and the installer company which is frustrating that Lowes doesnt install themselves so NO ONE IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE. We have been told 3 different stories about our order including it being lost and changing dates for delivery. We have had everything in our house moved for a week now and still no carpet. Last time I am buying anything Lowes. Such a frustrating situation and before the holidays, which is putting a HUGE damper on our holiday.

I came to this location to purchase a large amount of porcelain tile and these two were the only employees who made an effort to assist me. 7+ employees walked by me avoiding eye contact and when I’d ask for their assistance in finding a tile that was supposed to be in stock, I was told that it’s not their department and someone should be in the area somewhere. Everyone seemed really bothered that I even asked for help but Arleen saw that I was frustrated and dropped what she was doing to assist me. She did so with a positive attitude and also had Dave from the hardware department help retrieve the wooden crate of tiles from the very top shelf using the forklift. These two went above and beyond to help me and I was super thankful to run into them. These are the type of employees that Lowe’s should hire or put in charge of their stores.

I ended up asking about 5 different people for help, and one person finally told me he would find the sauce after he’s done helping someone (in about 15 minutes). So I waited about 15 minutes after making sure I looked all around to find my sauce. He wasn’t there at that point, so I found another employee who apparently asked another employee to help. Said it would be a couple minutes. I end up waiting a total of about 30 minutes for this guy, and he was nowhere to be found so I just gave up and went to buy the other item I had. Turns out you can’t even complain at the register because they don’t have a check stand open. Imo it is not acceptable to leave a customer waiting that long.

Customer service is a hit or miss, some folks are absolutely fantastic and are willing to share expertise on items others are over it and are ready to go home. Do not order anything from them that uses a 3rd party service. The catch is that the price tag is for a different product. Watch those tags, and apparently, we need to check the code numbers, too. At the checkout line, it rang up $31 more than the tag. The person goes back and then tells me that we have a different item. Just left and didnt buy anything. Went to Home Depot and paid $51 less than we would have at Lowes. I will make an effort to choose Ho.e Depot over Lowes just for the principle.

We patiently waited around the flooring section for 20 minutes. We stopped an apathetic employee and asked if there was anyone available to help us… she said “well what do you need!”We were told that the “flooring person is on their lunch break” I walked to customer service and politely asked two individuals that were chatting if anyone could please help us answer a question over in flooring… the person said “no one person called out and the other was one lunch and we’d just have to wait 30 more minutes” I explained that we just had a couple of quick questions and if there was a manager or another employee available we’d appreciate it. He said “no,” so I said “well there goes a few thousand dollars.” He said “sounds like a corporate problem.” I left the store with my family. I’ve never been so disappointed with the lack of customer service and attitude. So unprofessional and so rude.

Nothing wrong with it if that the way they want to do business.The problem is : when you are register customerYou provide your phone number for easy return but their system at fast cashiers don’t recognize your number so when you try to return things with your debt card or phone number ( with out a receipt) no able to recognize it . As result you don’t get your money back or exchange.It happens twice all ready .After couple with customer service they where able to verify my transaction saying I am sorry . Comment: If you go into the store and shop youll have a 50% chance of service and finding what they say they have in stock. If you order online youll have exactly 0%. Ordered several times on the app, set up several deliveries. After being charged they will continuously change delivery dates and youll get answers like you items didnt get loaded on the truck and we will just have to try again. After three missed delivery dates for a washer and dryer I am done dealing with Lowes. After 4 weeks of waiting for in stock items I finally canceled the items and got put on extended hold times trying to do so. Constant excuses, canceled curbside orders, late orders, missing items, double charges. I am not sure if its all Lowes stores, but if you are an online user avoid this location at all costs. Completely incompetent staff.

Comment: I wish large stores like Lowes would honor employees a little more and their worth to customers. I came on a busy Saturday. They had one employee helping with self checkout who was beyond busy and the only line in the whole store with a human working a checkout was incredibly long. I ended up having to leave without purchasing my items because I couldnt get any help. I ordered them from an online retailer instead. Its just so sad that stores arent hiring enough employees to support customers and are therefore losing business. Lets care a little more about how real people feel inside our stores and we can retain their business. I dread going into Lowes now, and thats not how you should make your customers feel.

Comment: Just had the best customer service experience today. Went to Lowe’s for fly traps. Ended up buying a patio loveseat. The associate Steven was incredibly helpful and polite. He ran all over the warehouse to find my item, delivered it to the front, helped me checkout, gave me an extra discount for the damaged packaging on my item (item still perfect condition inside), and helped my dad load it into our truck. I’ve never met a kinder customer service retail employee.

Comment: I placed an order for a washing machine, and the delivery guys doesn’t want to install it, so they took it back. I called customer service and canceled it because of the delivery team not want to install the washer. I dont know what they thought but later on (after two days) they came back and installed it in my absence. I went to the store and asked them why you sent a delivery team to install it although I have canceled it. It looks like they forgot to inform the delivery team. After two days, the delivery team came back and picked it up. So far so good but here is the interesting thing. Although they took the item back but they never refunded it. Last 5 weeks, I am talking to them to get my refund. The store service desk says that the internet will refund it and the internet team will say the store will refund it. I went to the store 4 times and I called the 20 times internet store but still, they are pointing at each other. I have no idea, how to get the refund back

Comment: One of the worst experiences I’ve had with deliveries and customer service. Bought a new fridge, washer, dryer and microwave. The fridge came late, when it finally came in it was not installed correctly. Needed to adjust the water hookup. Was told it was an extra $150 to have the microwave installed which I agreed to and was met with confrontation when asking the delivery guy to install it and even more confrontation when calling Lowes to get it resolved. One would think that after spending almost 5K that you might get a little better service or at least help. Debating on returning everything just to not ever have to deal with them again.

The delivery personnel asked an excessive number of questions to my wife about the colors inside and outside our house, which seemed unprofessional and unnecessary. One of them accidentally spilled water on the floor and instead of promptly cleaning it up, he requested our towels to do so. Throughout the entire process, they appeared to be more interested in looking around, making noise, or behaving inappropriately rather than focusing on their job.We are now facing an unfortunate situation where we have to wait for an entire week to receive the product we already paid for. The item they delivered was clearly and visibly damaged, with noticeable dents and scratches. It is disheartening to receive a compromised product after making a payment.Im extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by this store or company. Furthermore, the product I purchased appears to be of extremely poor quality, almost as if it was acquired through questionable means. Comment: Yesterday I was 7 pickets away from finishing a fence project when I ran out of nails for the nail gun. When I found the home for the nails I needed it was empty. I searched all nearby boxes, hoping to find the size I needed. I then went to the register and asked if I could have someone check stock for me. Head cashier, Emily, came out to greet me. She looked up the item #, and said there should be more in stock. She then walked with me to the isle and also realized there were none there. We then started searching the storage space above the shelves and low and behold we found some. She had a worker from tools use the equipment to get it down for me. Comment: Not deserving of even 1 star.Kitchen cabinet experience with Lowes is absolutely terrible.Several week delay with an unfinished kitchen because of Lowes inability to properly follow through and they are unresponsiveProduct is substandard.Only bright spot is the contractor is very good but this doesnt make up for the fact that weve spent so much money for such an unprofessional approach.Of course, Lowes responded to this review with a message that falsely gives the indication they are available to discuss and help rectify this situation. Calling that number gets the same on hold status of no response.Three months after Lowes contractor removed our existing cabinets, this project it is still incomplete. Cabinets are not completed, the tile back splash is not complete, the kitchen sink is unusable, and the switch and outlet receptacles are not covered because of the incomplete grout.Updating with photos- after approximately 7 months, this project is still incomplete. Over this 7 months with hours and hours of phone conversations and lost personal time to this effort, Lowes subcontractor finally successfully installed granite countertops after 4 attempts. However, with Lowes for every 4 steps forward there is a step or two backwards and now we still have damaged cabinets (new ones installed by Lowes) with scuff marks and pry marks from cabinet crews, and no schedule for completion or compensation for additional charges incurred by plumbers because of Lowes inability to follow through on their agreed-upon responsibilities.Updating after another month of stalled work has elapsed.I suggest that if you make the unfortunate mistake of doing business with Lowes home improvement services that you familiarize yourself with Californias Contractor Licensing Board.Also, consider the following:1) Who will be the specific Lowes individual responsible for managing the work of the multiple subcontractors and avoiding SNAFUs as those subcontractors finger point at each other2) Try calling that person several times. Try calling the local store and see if they ever actually answer the phone3) Ask them if any Lowes employee will actually be on-site4) Do not pay in advance5) Create a specific checklist for your work. YOU WILL BE THE PROJECT MANAGER. Lowes will not take any responsibility.6) Be ready for missed items. One or more of their Subcontractors will flake and call you on the day before their work is to be done to reschedule. You WILL lose several weeks of schedule because this will wreck the contingent schedules of the other subcontractors.7) Dont allow Lowes to convince you to get someone else to fill in for that work that their subcontractor missed. Even if you already paid Lowes for that work, IF they reimburse you, it will NOT be timely.Further update: Lowes Executive Customer Relations team considers the damaged cabinets shown in the photos below to have been installed in accordance with industry standards.

One in particular didnt have a price on it & the Lowes sales associate said she didnt know & couldnt find a price either. 🙄 Gave me a womans name in that department to call the following day who was supposed to be an expert. Called their store 4 times and no one ever answered the phone no matter which department I called from doors to customer service to the operator and after hours of trying to get through with them not answering their phone, I was politely told from a recording Sorry our store is now closed, please call back tomorrow. After reading all of these horrible reviews, looks like Lowes has the audacity to respond with an Oh were sorry but doing absolutely nothing to resolve any of these issues, so I refuse to let them deliver or install anything for me if this is how they treat their customers and just adding to the horror stories of poor customer service and inconveniences. Lowes must be doing a great job sending their potential customers over to Home Depot. To date I cant say one bad thing about HD.

Never once received a phone call. They took a photo and never knocked on the door. (I found out they took a photo from the delivery call center). The store won’t give us answers, the delivery service won’t either. We keep getting told that we will receive a call for delivery, but yet have not gotten one phone call. Do not buy your appliances here unless you don’t want to receive them. We bought our dishwasher from Home Depot and totally different experience. Easiest process! 3 clicks of a button online, delivered, and set up. My husband mentioned to them our experience with Lowe’s, and the Home Depot delivery service said they had heard about their shady delivery drivers. They have a bad reputation if their competitor company is aware of their issues. We will never ever buy anything from here again. Calling corporate tomorrow to see if I can finally get some answers. I was trying to follow up on a washer that needed repair since Oct. 13, 2022, and I have a factory warranty, and A&E Factory that they had contract with, after at least 15 calls, told me to go to Lowes( where I originally bought the Samsung washer in June, 2021), to tell them that per that company, they had requested that the washer has to be replaced since the parts ordrred on Oct. 28, 2022 never came. I went to Lowes twice and never got a good answer, sent me back abd forth, even the manager does not really care that until now, Dec. 22, 2022, the washer has not been replaced. Bad, bad review. Comment: Lowes in Citrus Heights is still as ive found one of the few big box stores that will provide real assistance when needed, has good prices and puts an extra emphasis on Veterans in providing discounts & priority parking spaces just identify yourself as a Vet and sign up all future transactions are discounted when you give your #. Cant fathom how much money I have spent in the 15 or so years this store has been open but if ever an issue they have easy return policy and as I said above always helpful wich is something sorely missed these days. Anything you may need for home or project is almost always in stock but they do also have online shopping and delivery for certain items. The 1 thing you do need to check tho is call & verify if something shows in stock online is not always in stock as they too are a victim to shoplifting and that throws off counts, it is just as frustrating for them as it is us when we think that 1 widget we need shows online and you drive there and its gone, they have always been helpful to me tho with just a phone call

Comment: I don’t typically leave negative reviews but they do not even deserve one star. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. We bought a new house a few months ago and went to Lowes to purchase all new appliances. The first delivery was to be a new refrigerator. The delivery/install service was nothing short of a bad joke. They showed up hours early and demanded either me or my husband leave work to accommodate their early arrival. The delivery/installers were extremely rude and they broke the refrigerator during install. When I asked how they were going to replace it, I was told that it wasn’t their problem. Add to that the worst customer service experience in trying to get a replacement and ultimately fighting for a refund. Worst experience after spending THOUSANDS. I would drive an extra 10 miles to purchase just a nail from anywhere but Lowes, just to avoid giving them any business after that treatment.

Comment: My goodness this place has gone downhill! Service mean NOTHING here clearly. Was in on Sunday around 3pm and spent around $220. Went through self checkout and one of my items that had a sign on the shelf for a sale (rung up $22.48 and was signed at $16.99) scanned in wrong. I told the attendant at self checkout the price rang up incorrect from the sign. First question he asked me was did I take a picture of the sign? I dont know about most people but I dont photograph the signs of every item I buy. I replied no but there was a sign that said it was on sale. He proceeded to check the price on his register (same way I did on mine) and said the price was $22.48. Didnt offer to call someone or even bother to look. Customer service doesnt seem to be in the protocol. I even overheard an employee in the window department walking to another employee asking for help. The employee asking for help had a customer in tow and the employee who was asked for help states loudly after being asked if he could answer a question Im going on my lunch break so that should answer your question and laughed. Totally disgusted by the lack of effort and professionalism in this store. I guess Ill go to Home Depot or Emighs where people know the meaning of customer service.

Comment: We ordered a washer & dryer from Lowes and had to return it the same week as the delivery company had incredibly poor service. When the delivery people came to my house to deliver & install my newly purchased washer & dryer, I was caught off gaurd because I hadnt received a call from the delivery company of what time frame I should expect the delivery. Because I couldnt get to the door on time, the delivery people left, didnt leave any communication behind and when we contacted the delivery call center I was informed that a dispatch rep will reach out to me with a new delivery time frame. Which was not true. I was never contacted back, we ended up having to call the delivery call center 3 times to only be informed that the delivery people were done making deliveries for the day. That was before 2:30 pm. And when we spoke with the manager at this delivery company, we were told that its OUR FAULT for not answering the door on time. Apparently, this companys motto is theyre right, youre wrong, you snooze ya lose.We ended up buying the exact same washer & dryer from Home Depot which costed much less than what Lowes charged us. And, experienced a much better and professional customer service.

It seems every cashier is different when I go in one will ask me a bit before hand and then some do it after I’m a little confused. She seem to be a little put out after I told her my military ID after Sherman up my item which was only one item.

Comment: STEER CLEAR OF THIS LOCATION.There are plenty of other Lowes Stores to choose from that wont quite literally try to rob you blind. The customer service is abhorrent - be prepared to be charged for things that you expect to be fulfilled and let down with absloutely no option for recourse; and 8 times out of 10, you will not get everything you ordered. The store will not fulfill your request for a refund, lowes customer service cant do anything for you because its up to the store itself to complete anything.Ive had 5 complaints escalated to the District Management level and its clearly a funny joke to them because none of the 5 complaints have had even an attempt at resolution.If you want to buy a plant or some small hardware from here, no problem. But I IMPLORE you to choose ANY other location for appliances or anything of big monetary value.Unacceptable and deserves zero stars.

Giving the clerk the benefit of doubt, I called back. After attempting three times to speak to someone in paint and not being able to talk to anybody I attempted to talk to the store manager. I was again disconnected. Very frustrating.

Comment: I was going to explain in detail how terrible their employees were during my visit but after looking through reviews for 5 minutes it seems that parts already covered. Something needs to be done at this store the employees despise customers as if it’s not their job to help them. When I was checking out in the garden center my cashier was audibly screaming under her breath because she had to ring up my fuller cart and continued to scream and make remarks under her breath the entire time checking out as well as overcharge me. I went to customer service and got my money back easily but when I mentioned something about the cashiers behavior I was met with silence. Comment: Yesterday I bought a small, electric leaf blower (Craftsman $79.99) but the battery wouldnt shoe a complete charge after 5 hour charging. Took it back this morning and got another one...same model. After 4 hours of charging the green light continued to blink indicating not fully charged. Craftsmans customer service said it takes 60 minutes to fully charge.Took it back and told the nice woman at returns the problem. I told her there was a better model at $99.99 but wasnt sure it was worth the extra $20. She told me to go get the more expensive model and the price would be $79.99! It took more than an hour to charge but the green light turned solid and I just blew off my balcony. Success 🙂

After 30 minutes as third in line, I called store manager from cell to ask for more help. After additional 10 minutes messaged corporate for help. It really seems they try their hardest to force you to self checkout by putting people not trained on how to use a cash register. Comment: Lowes has the worst customer service. I bought their gazebo and had it delivered the next day. Well when it was dropped off the big cardboard box was inside a big steel cage that looked like. Shark cage. Big and heavy. I asked the driver if he was going to take the steel cage away and just leave the box. He said they leave everything for the customer. I told him I had no use or room to store such a huge item. This cage is about 8ft long and 3 1/2 ft wide or so. I tried to call Lowes store number on the receipt and their automated system just kept looping me back to the main menu over and over again. I called the pro desk at a different number and got a hold of a person who said he would transfer me to a manager. Then it rang and rang and then hung up on me. I called back and they said they would get a manager to call me back. Waited over 2 hours and no callback. Called the number and now its a repeat of looping in the main menu. Why have a store number if no one is answering the phones. Worst customer service experience.

Comment: I am a 60 plus year old woman. I came in to Lowes to pick up a replacement toilet. I walked around the store trying to locate the Bathroom Fixture Aisle. I also was trying to find somebody who could help me.I finally found where the toilets were. I found the one that I wanted. Id already been online and knew exactly what I wanted.Then I started looking around for someone to help me. I walked around looking for a cart. The toilet was to heavy for me to lift. I asked several people if they could assist me. They were all too busy. Instead of saying let me call for someone to help you, they just walked away. I kept looking for a cart. Finally after 10 minutes, I went back to the area to see if I could get some help. I finally got someone to stop and asked for help. I needed a cart, it was to big for a shopping cart. The Lady said if I go out into the parking lot, I may find one. Then she walked away. Never asked let me get you some help. I left almost in tears. I have to have a replacement. Ive rented for the past 14 years and one of the toilets needed to be replaced. The bathroom fixtures are in the very back of the store. After my wandering around the store for 15 minutes, no one asked if I needed help. No one cared. I couldnt do it myself. Because I have to have one, I was forced to order it on line. So on top of the cost of the toilet, I have to pay a $79 delivery charge. Lowes is the absolute worst at Customer Service. I am a Supervisor of Customer Service for the past 6 years. If my employees behaved the way Lowes Employees behaved, there would be consequences. Re-training. This isnt the first time I have been to this store and received this type of treatment. I thought since it wasnt the weekend, but the middle of the week, service would be better. I was so wrong. I will not be back. Worst Customer Service in Sacramento.

Comment: Saturday afternoon before Fathers Day. A big ad in play, California finally open, you would expect Lowes to be on its A Game. Unfortunately not, stick to buying on line and parking lot pick up because not only is the store a mess, but the lines in check out are now longer. This past Saturday? One cashier and several broken self checkouts resulting in two lines at least 10 people long.Online buy and pickup may have sustained retailers during the Covid restrictions, but that model kills impulse and accessory buying. Terrible in store service will drive me to remain an online buyer.The upside is that when I found someone to help find stuff, three of the four I talked to tried to help. One from Paint did walk me back to Garden which had sent me to Plumbing. Clearly the Manager on Duty was overwhelmed and had plenty of reasons things were so backed up.But this was Fathers Day and the stuff I wanted to buy was on their ad. I drove past one of those orange stores as well.

Comment: We usually go to Home Depot for sprinkler parts during a job but Lowes was closer so we decided to try. This parking lot is always a nightmare bc it is too small for the amount of business it does, there is no trailer parking (not even in the Pro area) and the entire Sunrise Blvd side of parking spots they have fenced off for storage. So we were forced to first drive around the lot then around the entire building and park near Hobby Lobby and walk. No cameras over here so if our equipment ended up missing no way to try to figure out who may have done it. So we get to the PVC area looking for a 3/4 to 1/2 threaded adapter....not only are there entire rows of 3/4 parts just missing, you have to look at the bottom of one area and the top of the next for 3/4 parts. There was an empty box on the floor of miscellaneous 3/4 assorted pieces we also looked through (I dont know if it was left behind by another disgruntled customer or go backs that didnt make it back into their appropriate areas.) No luck! Now we can either leave and try Home Depot (30 minutes wasted) or try to think outside the box. My husband had to take a 3/4×3/4×1/2 T and a cap and make it work. Luckily he figured a way to make it work with the limited options available. Then we get to the front and opt for self check-out. Not only is there no employee assistance to be found but no bags at 3 out of 4 of the self checkout cash registers. With no one from Lowes to ask and no hope that one would be found, we just carried our good out. Next time we will drive into Antelope. I still give them 3 stars bc their garden area is well attended and attentive with checking out people efficiently.

Comment: I love this place. Its clean, organized with lots of everything that I love to shop for. And the older man that was outside watering the plants was an absolute joy to talk to. He tried his darndest to sell me a mosquito plant aka citronella type geranium I think (but I already had way too many plants to buy that day). He told me he had one and he loves it. I giggled to myself. He was Very Very sweet. I wished I would have gotten his name because he should get a thumbs up from the boss.

Comment: I went to Lowes this evening to get a GFI unit for our bathroom. I wasnt sure which one I needed so I tried calling to try to get some help. I was very frustrated with the phone system because you simply could not get to a human being. After trying for several minutes and constantly being put in a loop-back at the beginning I gave up and went up to the front to speak to an employee. She indicated that she was just as frustrated with the phone system because she couldnt get through to a person either whenever she tried to call the store. So she called over the loudspeaker to try to get me help in the electrical department, to no avail. Another employee called on multiple occasions to try to get help for me in the electrical department, again no response. After about 40 minutes of trying to get help in that store I left. As much as I dont particularly care for their competition, thats exactly where Im going to get my part. Comment: Everyone, stay away from Lowe’s custom installation at all costs. I repeat, even if you think “it’ll be fine.” It’s not fine. Everything is not fine. We thought so, too.Let me explain.We were patient with an order from mid January. The order came incorrect so the vanities and countertops were not installed. The cabinets sit in our garage currently.As luck would have it, the new countertops came in damaged at the store. That’s fine. Stuff happens. Thing is: we didn’t know this until we called. And they’d promise to call us back. They did! Just kidding. No nothing.Today, we decided to cancel the order entirely because we had zero communication for weeks and, when you do get in touch, there’s considerable lack of empathy for the issue. Plus, don’t try to call them most days but especially on the weekend because they are unable to pick up and it’s a “corporate issue.”Anyway, if you need things in the store, they’re great. We have some dope lighting fixtures. But, don’t get adventurous and order custom. Unless you are interested in buying frustration, then do it!

Comment: I had the best trip to Lowes today thanks to one of their team members Miguel. I was purchasing lumber to build a deck, and he took the time to make sure I had everything I needed to make it nice. Later he hopped on the register to help us checkout with the other team member so we didnt have to unload. The lady who helped us in the paint department with short hair was so kind and knowledgeable too, and found us to see if we needed assistance. The only concern was the cutter was broken so we had to go to home depot to get our 4x4s. Today Lowes was awesome because their team members cared so much!

Comment: TLDR/in short:-They never pick up their phones.- Make sure youre working with someone who is actually from appliances and not a fill in.-Double and triple check with the appliance department before you purchase to make sure they actually have the make/model you are buying, unless you want to wait months.I ordered a dishwasher for delivery/install. The evening I came in, I was told they had a few in stock. They also advised I would receive a call to schedule the install within 48 hrs. I had to follow up on day 3, only to be told the scheduling department was not there and was promised I would receive a call back the next day. Still after no call, I tried calling the store...no department but curbside pick-up answers. They transferred me back to appliances, but of course it ended up back to the phone tree, where no one answers. I ended up calling corporate who was helpful. After a long wait, they got through to the store who apparently advised my appliance wouldnt be available to order to their distribution center for 1 month, and then would be sent to the store 2 days later for the delivery to be scheduled. They advised I go in and talk to someone in appliances who could rectify the situation. I went in one evening, but was referred to their appliance expert/specialist, and hed be working the next day. I go in the next day and talked to him.Once I got in touch with him, almost everything was resolved. He explained the person who sold me the dishwasher didnt belong in the appliances section, and had no idea why he told me they had any in stock. He confirmed the unavailability of the appliance (Bosch) and explained a major backlog issue they were having with production. Ultimately, he offered to upgrade me to another, better dishwasher at no cost.On the day of the appliance delivery and install, I received an automated call saying my dishwasher was available for pick up. Ten minutes later I received a text from the delivery person saying he spoke with Lowes and they didnt have my appliance. After letting him know about the call, and the need for them to swap out the type of dishwasher, he called the store back. Eventually he texted and let me know it was all worked out but hed have to push back my delivery time a few hours. Once he arrived delivery and installation went fine.

Comment: I had the same experience as everyone else with phones constantly routing back to the main menu. There are zero options to get ahold of anyone. Every time I order online, the order comes severely damaged. Trying to return an online order is near impossible if it’s a bigger order. The paint department ignored us for 30 minutes while we waited and kept brushing us off to other associates.... No one knows where anything is stocked. Also whenever we have been able to get ahold of the store, they are never aware that their equipment is broken for cutting wood etc. We don’t have this experience at other Lowe’s and only go to this location if we happen to be doing errands in this part of town. I officially give up because we have given them a solid 10 attempts and every time we come out disappointed. Officially throwing in the towel for this location.

Staff is friendly enough, but the store is so poorly managed that I feel sorry for them. I ordered an appliance before Thanksgiving. They already missed the 1st delivery date. I was called the day before item was to be delivered to be told it just shipped. It is now nearly 3 weeks beyond that and Im being told they hope to received it by the day I was told it would be delivered (2nd delivery date blown). I have only been able to get through the automated phone system twice in 3 months. I am now going to have to drive out to the store, AGAIN, to try to get some service. My appliance sale has shown as completed since the day it was purchased and has been on my billing statement since day one. We are now approaching 3 months and no delivery. I was only given 30 to decide on extended warranty on an appliance I cant even get delivered. Last purchase I will make on an item not in stock and ready for delivery. YOU HAVE OPTIONS - EXPLORE THEM!

Comment: Inconvenient and frustrating experience to say the least. Ordered a fridge online and had my delivery appointment scheduled. I recently relocated to the area and I am still in the process of moving. I drove hours to be here for the delivery only to get a call a few hours before the scheduled delivery stating that the item was not in stock, although it was when I placed my order. The employee re-sourced my order to have another store deliver it in two days as I will only be available this weekend. Upon checking my email it looks like it was scheduled for 9 days from now when I’m not going to be in the area. I called customer service and was on hold for quite some time. Once customer service got on the line she absolutely nothing to try to help me or solve my issues. I just had her cancel my order all together. She could have cared less. So frustrated.

Comment: Super disappointed and frustrated with my latest experience at store #1540. When I went to return Christmas lights that were defective- this was the first opportunity that Ive been able to take them in- I was told that you are not able to make returns on Christmas items after the 25th of December. I had my receipt, original packaging and even a picture to show how they were defective. I was within my 90 days, the lights were purchased on December 11th. No where does this state on their return policy posted in the store of this change. I asked to speak with a manager and manager Terry on duty didnt even come after a phone call by the associate to help me with this situation. Literally was told there was nothing they could do. I even offered to take merchandise credit because we love to shop there. I worked at Lowes years ago in the return section and this was never a policy back then. If this is a new policy then they need to update their return policy posted on their wall and notify everyone when buying seasonal items of this policy. This is false advertising and now I have to call Lowes corporate office in the morning. They should have honored my return. So much for customer satisfaction anymore.

Comment: Major concerns in this store. On one of my recent visits there were no carts as they were all in the parking lot. Customers were having to go to the lot to retrieve carts if they wanted one. Many were doing so without regard to sanitizing these possibly contaminated carts. I asked the person working the door to speak with the store manager. He asked in regards to what? I replied that I wanted to express my concerns about the cart situation. He walked over to the customer service desk and spoke to a woman who I later learned was the assistant store manger. She glanced in my direction numerous times during his 2 minute conversation with her. She then went back to what she was doing behind the desk. It looked like she was organizing product on shelves behind the desk, possibly returns. I waited for 10 minutes with her occasionally looking to see if I was still waiting until I gave up and proceeded to go to find what I was looking for. I have been going to this store since they opened, sometimes multiple times in a week or even a day. Most of the workers in this store are good at customer sevice however the few times I have attempted to talk to the pro desk I have had bad experiences. The latest instance I was looking for something to sanitize my flatbed cart with. They have a station at the front entrance I thought the could or should have one at this entrance. There were 2 guys at the pro desk that were just chit-chatting with each other and they could obviously see that I was looking for something but they never made an attempt to offer assistance. There have been other instances over the years where I have approached this desk, keeping in mind to go when it appears they are not assisting other guests, for advice on projects or actually ordering large amounts of material or big ticket items such as air conditioners or installation, delivery services and have been met with bad customer service. I understand that this department is to be used for contractors or projects, I have worked for contractors in the construction industry. That being said, there are some people in this department that seem to look down on or have actual disdain for the average customer.

Comment: I’ve been here twice where I should’ve been in and out in 5 minutes. I had a list and knew the aisle and bin numbers for each item. Since items weren’t stocked properly I had to wait for assistance. They first time I waited for over half an hour for someone to get something from a high shelf for me... ok whatever. I made the mistake of going in again today. Of course once again an item wasn’t where it stated it was online— I walked aimlessly trying to find assistance for about 15 minutes. Finally went to the self checkout who paged someone to the aisle I needed help on. I went back and waited for help. Nothing 5 minutes 10... nothing. So I just walked out. Just because you know what you want to buy or your a professional doesn’t mean you’ll revive any type of assistance here... Home Depot is just down the street— usually they have more staff it seems.

Comment: WORST STORE EVER! Wish I could give them 0 stars! Ordered a refrigerator online and this is the location it was going to be delivered from. They were supposed to call and set up delivery but never did. Instead they took the item to the address where we haven’t even moved in yet. Contacted me later saying we will be there in 30 min. We told them we are not available to receive the item so they sent it back to the store. A few days later we get a call from someone saying they don’t have the refrigerator anymore, that they delivered it to someone else and they don’t know when, if ever they will have another one available. We told them to find us the refrigerator we purchased that was supposed to be delivered, the guy said he will call us back but never did. We have trying to call the store for almost a 2 weeks now for a refund but no one answers the phone. We live in the Bay Area right now so we can’t physically go in to the store.. now we have to make a special trip out there to deal with such an unorganized store!

Comment: Great adjustment to their operations amid the covid pandemic. I know for a fact that most other large corporate businesses are still struggling to coordinate due to many administrative personnel being mandated to work from home. Its rough for every business, mainly with coordinating with vendors/supply-chain, but Lowes is getting it under control quickly.I dont like all the negetive reviews about customer service and delivery operations. They seem to forget that in this pandemic, a lot of people have a lot more time on their hands, therefore customer service and delivery volume probably increased significantly, and needless to say that everyone in the country is experiencing a lot more anxiety than they would otherwise.I think theyre doing great with what they have, and they are improving day by day. That proves that they are focused on their mission.

Comment: I had the worst customer service experience Ive had in 10+ years. First, no one answers the phone. It just rings into oblivion. Secondly, I had both a delivery and installation scheduled. The store sent the installers with incomplete materials. So, I then I had schedule another date for installation after receiving parts of the materials I requested. This was cancelled with no notice or information. When I called to ask about what happened, I got an automated system and never got a chance to speak to anyone. Instead I had to drive 18 miles to the store to get someone to help me. On arrival, I was not provided any reason or apology for what happened. I will never use this Lowes again. Beware if you do!

Waited a couple more days and called again. I was informed they were working on it. Waited a couple more days and received a call saying they don’t have the cable ties. I said fine, I mostly need the table saw and concrete mix. Was informed they were working on it. Finally called again today (it’s been two weeks). I spoke to a manager and asked why it was taking so long. He said he didn’t know and has been looking for some of the stuff for a week. It wasn’t staged properly. I asked how much longer it would be as I need this stuff today. He couldn’t give me an answer. I ended up canceling my order and will only be buying from Home Depot. I normally shop at Home Depot but wanted to give Lowe’s a try. I won’t be doing that again.

Comment: I ordered a BBQ online for pickup. I received the email it was ready 2 days ago. My husband and I went to pick it up and it took over an hour and 30 minutes. We waited in line to give the order # and ID, the guy said pull your car up and wait on the side and it will be right up. An hour went by, nothing so by this point he got back in line while i waited in the car in loading... he asked representatives walking by for help and they said they couldn’t help which I understand but we’ve been waiting for over an hour and nothing at least tell someone who can help. There was one person working the register so waited in line for 30 minutes again, after all that I find out my online order actually isn’t even there even though I received a voicemail and email saying it’s ready. I was told there were two in the back and one was for someone else, the other was missing a part?? So my option was to cancel or transfer to another store. Not happy and such a bad experience. I went back and picked up one ( and they had several ) that wasnt all torn up.I would expect the above situation from Home Depot but not from Lowes. Also this was the first time Ive had a hard time finding help on the sales floor. Hopefully it was just a bad day because if they continue as they did this particular day, theyre going to be on a lower level. In other words equal to Home Depot. Looked at refrigerators and every employee who passed me on the way to their brake room said hello and asked if I was finding everything okay or if I had any questions. We found a great fridge and they gave us an even better deal than the sticker price and then headed over to toilets. We left with a ton of knowledge about toilets and purchased two and a refrigerator. Now just waiting for them to be delivered on Tuesday. I wish I could remember the 2 main associates names that helped us. They were excellent. Plus one customer who knew quite a bit about toilets and installations. He too was very helpful. 😄

The service was lacking through the purchase, but I was able to buy the dishwasher I wanted. I purchased a stainless steel exterior with stainless steel interior tub. (one of the higher end models) They brought the box out and loaded in the car. We got home and opened the box only to find that they had given us a white plastic dishwasher! upon returning to the store found that this was the cheapest ($299) model they carried. At no time was there an apology, any consideration for the lost time of having to make an unnecessary trip back to the store, or any sort of discount offered. We were told it was no big deal!!!! I have to wonder if they would have felt the same way if I had ended up with a dishwasher that was worth three times what I paid, instead of 1/3 of what I paid.........My second experience was last night, I thought the first experience must have been a fluke, I will try again with a washer. The sales person clearly is NOT a sales person, as they made every comment to indicate they did not have it, nor would any other store, and if I wanted to order it, it would take two weeks or longer. At which time I did reply out loud, it would appear you are not interested in selling a product this evening, maybe we should buy somewhere else. his reply, that works for me. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Comment: I am a contractor and lowes is more geared towards DIY home owners selling complete kits and finished products. As a contractor I feel home Depot is geared towards my needs but for the DIY or for a slightly high end products Lowes will have what you need.

Comment: I have had some bad experience on most of the Lowes stores before, but cannot even compare to the ones at Citrus Heights. Worst customer service ever!!! I recently purchased an online order and made a schedule for a delivery the next business day. It never got delivered! So I called the store and ask to speak to someone in the shipping department. I was being really nice and patient with these people until I got really irritated when they transfer my call from one department to the next. Finally, they transferred me to the right department so I gave this guy my order no. and found out that what was being delivered was a completely different item. At this time I was getting angry! I told him that Lowes did sent me a confirmation email of what I ordered and it is correct. He hesitated and said he will call me back within 15 minutes and hung up on me. I waited this whole day and nope, havent receive any calls from them.
