I came into Lowes looking for a dryer plug adapter. I tried to find it on my own before asking for help, after no luck, I asked a couple boys I saw working down a different aisle. I told one of the boys what I was looking for, he legit laughed and told me, thats guna be fun and sent to my aisle 13...the aisle I had just left...needless to say, I left empty handed. Poor customer service.
We went to get carpet for our house. We bought some carpet already here in 2018 and we love it. It is soft and easy to clean and maintain. Still looks new. So we were looking to get the same. And they still have. The man was very helpful, recommended other options and pulled our information.We scheduled the quoting already. Very good customer service.
Bought a gift card today. Tried to use it and it doesnt work. I went to return it and was told sorry no returns! I spoke with Manager Steve and he told I was sol. This is ridiculous. He also told me I would have to drive an hour to another lowes where I bought the card and deal with them? This is lowes they are all connected. Absolute worst experience I have ever had at lowes. I will not be shopping there again! Also if gift cards are not able to be exchanged or returned if they are defective it should say so on a sign or be told at checkout. I will be telling all my friends and family about the experience as well as posting it on social media!
I like to spend 20 minutes of shame searching the empty shelf spots and leaving empty handed at another store, the store I grew up with. Before buying what I needed, and a few other impulse purchases at Lowes. I dont feel stupid for shopping here, which is an added value!
I ordered a refrigerator from Lowes no problem. Then 3 weeks later I smelled something burning. There was a real major problem. I called the appliance department at Lowes in South Lyon. I talked to Mark he suggested a LG. I said great but it couldnt be delivered until Friday. I couldnt wait a week because I had very expensive medicine that needed to be cold. I called my son and he spoke to Jackie the store manager. A brand new, bigger, and better fridge was delivered the very next day. NOW, I call that service. I am very impressed with the service, and I wouldnt buy any appliance if I couldnt have Mark Peters as my sales representative.
I ordered a washer and dryer from the saleswoman Ande. Ande is the absolute worst! She lied to me about when I would receive my order, she was condescending and very confrontational. She definitely should not be selling anything to anyone with her lousy attitude. I have shopped with Lowes for years but never again! I had to cancel my order because all of a sudden my order which was to be delivered in April was not going to come until after Memorial Day if I was lucky.
This is by far the best store I have been to! Super helpful staff including the corporate office. Victoria was very helpful when we had issues with the counter top company that was contracted for our remodel. Although I am giving them 5 stars I would recommend they look for other stone contractors in the area.
Do not use this company. Lowes employed Installation Services to install our ceramic floor and the were numerous problems. We paid for the job in November of 2020 and the first installation date was February 3, 2021. The job was very, very poorly done and not completed. When we complained it took two months to come to a resolution with Lowes. We wanted the floor torn out, and put back to square one and our money returned, Lowes refused. Other contractors would not take liability for Installation Services work. The job was scheduled to be completed May 10, 2021 and Installation Services was a no call no show. I emailed the CEO directly. The job was scheduled to be completed AGAIN June 4, 2021. The installer showed up and left in a huff after one hour because he could not get in touch with his company and there were no materials delivered for the job. The ball was dropped by all levels of staff at Lowes and Installation Services. They have our money and we have an incomplete poorly done job. We have not had a bathroom or laundry room since February 3, 2021. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I wouldnt give them one star but could not move forward with the post. Buyer beware!
Very helpful staff. Art in tile area helped us a lot in picking the correct tile to match for our shower . He also helped us with making sure we had the appropriate type of tile for floor vs wall, helped us buy the appropriate boxes of tiles while double checking or math all while being very patient and educating us on this project.
I went into the Lowes in New Hudson, MI to look for a bulb 4 MY flashlight. I searched, but was unable to find it. I had just about given up hope of obtaining the bulb, when I saw an employee of Asian descent (I say it this way Only because I dont know His name). I asked Him about the bulb, & He took the time to assist ME! Even though they didnt carry the bulb, He helped ME 2 understand that I could search for & order it. As common sense as that was, I had not thought of it! It was Truly what I needed!!! Thank You, Lowes!
Needed a “refrigerator to go”! Couldn’t locate one. Along came Cindy (not in appliance department, but well versed on them - from Kitchen Design)... She conferred with Brandon and was determined to help me find a refrigerator that fit my needs. Took my name and number and assured me that she would review inventory not on the sales floor to see if there was something that might fit my needs. Lo and behold... I got a call from Cindy while at “the competition” - she found exactly what is was looking for. I immediately returned and bought the appliance. Great job. This is wonderful customer service. Exemplary performance. Obviously, I’ll be back. When I return, I’ll ask for Cindy.
Very poor experience and this is the 2nd time. I just purchased 5 appliances and lt took an hour to get someone to wait on us. It then took 15 minutes to pick out the 5 appliances and then another hour and a half to put into the computer system.I then had to take the paper work to the front cashier to complete the transaction. They miss billed me, did not apply my rebate and now I need to return to correct this issue.DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES!!!!!!!!
Purchased a stove with bob from appliances helping me along the way. He was friendly not pushy and I had a great over all experience. When getting my item home I realized it was missing a top griddle that I thought came with the range. Bob took time to call me and explain the girdle wasnt included but since it appeared that way and I thought I was getting it with purchase he offered to put the griddle aside for me to poo pick up the next morning that small gesture sold me on coming back for the rest of our appliances for a up and coming Reno. Thanks again Bob!
Went in to pickup some door hinges tonight (didnt have what I needed) and had a bucket of Sherwin Williams that I was hoping to have re-shaken. I approached the paint counter where three staff were standing idle (no other customers in need) and asked if as a favor they would re-shake it. After some scrutiny by the staff, I had apparently not purchased that particular type of Sherwin Williams paint from them and was informed Id have to try their store.So I left disappointed for Home Depot in search of the door hinges (which they had) and on a whim, I asked a busy paint desk employee if theyd be open to shaking the paint for me (a brand they definitely dont sell). Not only were they friendly and happy to stop what they wer doing to do so, they gave me free wood stir sticks to go with it. I hope the Lowes management takes a look at this review and considers the difference in customer service from what their competitor is providing and works to improve it. In the meantime, I know where Ill be shopping first next time...
Yesterday my wife had a gas range delivered to our job site. Not only was the stove great, the crew who delivered it was outstanding. After offering to install the unit he made sure I knew pipe dope and a fitting would be required and that I knew how to do the job correctly. He saved a potential disaster when he indicated the flexible line from the old stove was questionable. I later found three leaking spots in that old gas line. Needless to say I am grateful for the for the extra attention from the Lowes delivery crew.
I went shoppin at the chesterfield store the item was not in stock. That was fine as i wanted it at the wuxom store. The associates did NOTHING TO help except give me a model number n tell me i had to go online to order it. Then called Wixom only to get transferred five times n put on hild for a half hour.
If you need carpet these guys do a great job! Al and Art in the flooring department were great to work with. They both were very knowledgeable with the million questions my fiancé and I asked before we re-carpeted our new house. For the same price I was going to spend on cheap carpet plus installation at a local carpet store in Brighton, I was able to get upgraded carpet and the Stainmaster Elite padding underneath it (it’s like walking on a dang cloud)! They the floor measuring and installation only took a total of 2 weeks start to finish and i couldn’t be more thrilled with the results.
I will drive out of my way to go else where. If you need A big item like A entry door or Windows it could be A nightmare. It took this location over 1 full calendar year to resolve A issue we had regarding A fiber glass entry door. After dealing with 3 different store managers and multiple trips to my home by there sub contractors the issue was resolve. Very unorganized I would not recommend this location
I went to get outdoor carpet there was one couple ahead of me the guy at the desk was completely overwhelmed. He called a code 3 I guess to get help, nobody showed up. He kept assuring me that Brian would be right there to help me but after a half hour Brian never showed up. A lady finally came along and told me she had no idea what she was doing but how hard could it be? Not very comforting. I simply said in this huge store only one person knows how to cut carpet? She became very snarky and rudely informed me that they were 12 full time positions down. Do I care? No I am shopping at your store and I want good customer service not rudeness. After her and another associate looked at every carousel of carpet and could not find what I wanted. The talked to each other about not knowing what they were doing right in front of me. They disappeared into the back claimed they found my carpet but it was buried. Offered to cut it tonight. Not even sure they had the correct carpet yikes. I left the store disgusted went to Home Depot.
I purchased two items today. A saw blade and a 27 piece rapid load bit set. The price on the sticker above where they were hanging had a price of $9.98. After I paid for my items, I realized it seamed high. I was charged $19.98 for this item. So I asked the cashier to look into it and she sent me over to customer service. From there I was directed to a sales person on the other end of the store. Then I had to follow him back to the tool area where he removed the price sticker and placed it on the item. From there, I went back to customer service to get my refund.They gave me the difference back but, I had told them that this is really an inconvenience and wanted something compensated for my time. The manager said no because the pricetag is not on the item. I told them that they should price the items then so there are no mix ups. I just wonder how many customers are taken advantage of if they did not notice it like I did after I paid. I also could not see the prices of each item as they were getting scanned at the checkout. I am upset that I will not get my time compensated for and this event caused me to be late for my customer. I think I will stop shopping at Lowes. Very upset about this.
Staff is rude. Called the New Hudson location because I forgot a bag which had literally $11.00 worth of stuff in it, and the person on the phone was incredibly rude and bothered by checking. Acted like I was trying to rip the store off- lady it’s $11.00!! If I was gonna try and say I left something I’d probably say it was a little more. Exhausting. IT’S $11.00!!! Any other place would tell you to come get it- even if they didn’t find the bag!!Needless to say I called corporate- don’t even want the stuff- just for the point. The manager I was connected to at the store was VERY nice and said to immediately come get the stuff.Apparently Lowe’s knows how to hire managers. Only reason I give the store any stars.
I go to Lowe’s almost every day! Seriously, I feel like I should be on a first-name basis with all the staff at New Hudson MI store. I am always doing projects and of all the home improvement stores I have shopped at, Lowe’s is hands down the BEST!! Lowe’s has very helpful employees, well stocked supplies and if there is a problem with anything they try their best to make it right!! I love my Lowe’s!!
I went to Lowes looking to buy a gas range and have it delivered ASAP. I went directly to appliances, after browsing for a short time I was greeted by Ande, who proceeded to ask me what features I was looking for, and then directed me to 2 models that were in stock. She took my information and directed me to customer service where I paid for my transaction. The range will be delivered tomorrow(for free), the old one hauled away. Awesome service! Thanks Ande!
This store caused ~$4k of damage to my wood floors when they incorrectly installed a fridge. The store management and corporate contacts all hate their Mcjobs and couldnt care less about Lowes reputation, let alone customers. Zero accountability. Store is fine if youre just buying batteries or something but do not shop here for anything expensive or that requires installation, youre in for a huge headache and youll be stuck dealing with some serious scumbags.
I bought a hitachi stapler ( with a 2 year REPLACEMENTwarranty)in January. I use it a lot, as I am a contractor. I took it back because the safety was not working anymore and shoots without pressing down ( major safety issue). When I gave it to the lady to return it,she made a phone call. Shorty after talking on the phone she hands the phone to me and says they want to talk to you. Was unclear why they needed to talk to me ,I bought a warranty from lowes and apparently now I have to deal with someone else. After a brief talk on the phone I gave it back to the customer service lady. She hung up and called over a manager the manager looked at the stapler and told me there was to much wear on the stapler????The stapler was 9 months and had wear on it as any 9 month old tool would have if used 2-3 times a week.So if youre thinking of buying a warranty on your tool here dont use it or you will void the warranty!?!?
Had to track down someone to cut blinds for us this morning. Associate got side tracked by another couple who didn’t understand they should have made an appointment for the service they needed. Associate never made contact with us, then disappeared. We waited 20 minutes and left without getting what we needed.
I was very happy with my Lowes home delivery experience. Rodney was the delivery driver, and he was friendly, professional, and was conscientious about asking where I wanted the materials placed at my home. Having the items professionally delivered was well worth the delivery fee, saving me headaches and stress. Thanks!
This is a nice, clean store with safe parking lot so a customer does not have to worry that his car or rims on it could get stolen, as it happens in many other Lowes stores like in Southfield and elsewhere.Service is also very friendly and civilized in this store as oppose to the others mentioned previously. Folks who work in this particular New Hudson store are very pleasant and extremely helpful.Prices in Lowes stores are on the high side but if you are looking for friendly service and specialty stuff its worth a drive just so that a customer need not worry that his car will be vandalized as it happens in other Lowes stores in other parts of Metro area.
I came to this Lowe’s because it was the closest around the area and the most convenient I walked into purchase a nail gun and got asked multiple times if I was paying credit or cash and I kept saying cash and the guy at the pro desk was handling the situation with another customerThat he knew was going to take a long time Instead of taking some people that we’re going to be in and out he decided to take his time with the guy that was having a problem with the coupon after waiting 30 minutes he says I can take you at this register I hand him the cash and then he says we don’t except cash at this register no work ethic whatsoever Or common sense it’s not the first incident that I had at that loves I will never return no matter how convenient it may be worst experience I’ve ever experience
Poor Service ; Rude Employees. They advertise glass-cutting, which is the only reason weve made the drive out, and both times weve come out they have been too busy to make a few straight cuts. Even on a Monday morning when most of the employees are standing around they are too busy to perform the service they advertise. Waste of time going out of my way. Ill spend my money somewhere it is appreciated and not wasted on a bunch of dead weight.
Lowe’s is like that reliable girlfriend/boyfriend who will go out on a date but never really commits to a relationship. You can get 75% of what you need but never can be to totally fulfilled :-(It’s clean & nice but you end up going somewhere else to find the final 25% Lowe’s didn’t have - I don’t know about you, but at some point you want to stop shopping around and go somewhere where you can get everything you need.
I went in there on a Sunday around 7pm and walked around their tool section for about 10 mins. without seeing 1 sales person while my sick wife sat in the car waiting... So I went and asked for help for the tool area. After waiting another 12 mins! I finally just gave up and went to Home Depot the next day. Thanks for wasting my time! You cant run your failing stores with skeleton crews and expect to have good custom support. One more thing... Why dont you guys have a low cost viable power tool alternative? Home Depot has one & even Menards has one but not you clowns? One more reason you can add too the list of why youll go out of business...Not sure when but I bet all Lowes will go out of business in the near future Im thinking 2019. Sad but true. Home Depot needs another store to keep them honest but Lowes is definitely not that store... Looks like Menards will be filling that slot!
Was there around 4:50 pm on 05/22/20 and needed help with finding a grill. A young man came up and sadly I didnt get his name but he was wearing a tag that said trainee on it. He ended up going above and beyond to help me get what I came to look for, he looked on the floor and could not find one there, then went in the back and did find what ended up being the last one as other people were phoning/ on line ordering them as he was looking. I think he should get a raise real soon. Thanks Again!
Im not easily impressed but Id say this has to be the best Lowes in Michigan. I just found my new go to place in the area for my lawn treatment supplies. Not only did they have exactly what I needed but the staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly. The other stores in the area ( HD, Menards and Id argue even Ace) cant hold a candle to this location especially for customer service! You just won yourself a repeat customer.
15 minutes or less for curbside pick up is a joke, because you be on the phone a lot longer just trying to get a worker to answer the phone.. Several phone calls just getting re-routed back to their automated system. One call was picked up then transfered back, another call I was hung up on.
I came to plumbing department to get an advice/help for a toilet bowl system purchased from this store. Gentleman who handle plumbing issue ( I heard his name was Jim) did not have good customer service.He ignored me and did not want to help. When I had a sad face,Pat came and helped me. He did above and beyond. I passed Home depot and Menard to come to your store.
We purchased over $10,000 worth of Pella Windows from the New Hudson, MI store which was to include installation. The scheduling and delivery process was an absolute nightmare. Lowe’s has too many organizations and people involved which consistently give conflicting information. The entire process was just short of three months after signing their contract which included payment in full. The only reason I gave two stars is because the installation crew was very professional. I would hire the installers again privately. If you want frustration, hire Lowe’s.
I hate to leave bad feedback but this store is ridiculous, people working there are lazy, I suppose, since they took off at 2 pm leaving no one attending to their business. Who ever took my phone call is also extremely irresponsible too.I ask to be transferred to delivery department, and the person in charge is no where to be found. I wasted all my time and got literally transferred to every single department to find him and finely someone from the floor told me seems like he took off, lol. Seriously, at 2 pm, without finishing his working, without telling anyone whatt going on, he just disappeared. Come on. people are still waiting for their products.So I asked if there is anyway I can leave a message for him and if he happens to come back he can give me a call back. And the lady took my phone call told me she is ready to take off too, and she cant leave a message since SHE WANTS TO GO. I guess when you are ready to clock out, its really painful to stay at your work for one more minute. I just have to admit that this store just DONT TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS SERIOUSLY.
Maybe its just me, but there seems to be a lot of room for improvement. On the surface the staff is friendly and offer to help. But when I take them up on their offer and ask for something, theres always some reason that they cant follow through. Its a huge store and can be difficult to find things.

The newly built SL Hotel is nice. It has lost its nostalgic appeal, but the place has potential. At this time they are still on their temporary menu and getting the kinks worked out. I sat upstairs when I first visited. Its definitely not a cozy environment that it once had before the fire. The design is more industrial with high ceilings and cool gray tones and cement floor with stainless steel decor. I expect that this place will be a good SL water hole in due time.
Horrible experience. My wife and I moved to New Hudson and have been a loyal Lowes customers for approx. 2 years. Like every ongoing customer/merchant relation there are bumps but todays incident took the cake. Her is my story...My initial purchase of the entry level Troy Bilt lawnmower (recommended by the Lowes rep) could not hand the 25-30 degree grade my house sits on. First time I used it the mechanism that engages the motor popped off. I returned it the following day for the premier Troy Bilt mower (recommended by a different Lowes rep.) Cut the lawn twice last year and then brought in a company in to cut and fertilize my lawn because it was obvious that I was unable to tend to the grass regarding weed/feed. I kept the company on for this season and now that the lawn us in good shape I went back to cutting it. I cut it 5 times this season and again the mechanism that triggers the mower popped. I just tried to exchange for the most powerful Huqsvana and was denied. While it was 14 months since I exchanged the mower I have only used it 7 times, purchased it under the recommendation of the Lowes rep, and I gave spent over $15,000 at Lowes over the past two years living in New Hudson. Common sense regarding custome service and and the lack of accommodation is mind blowing to me. They just lost a good customer.
Lowes Hinge Improvement Store is a Great store to buy all the things unlit nerf to fix up the little or big things in your house, they have everything to paint, wood, light fixtures plumbing, grills, lawn mowers, patio furniture, and etc... we went there to buy ply wood to use as a bunky board on my father in laws bed and the worker at Lowes cut the boards to size for us, it was great customer service! I will always shop at Lowes for all my house fixer upper needs and more!

2022-02-15Changing rating based on recent experience. Have had some good experiences and honestly the people involved in this experience were all pleasant people. But the end net result was NOT. Went in for a washer and dryer as the new home we got left not great ones. After shopping around we landed here and were guided to a set. Were told a particular color would be fine then they didnt have but then uptake to why the other color WAS better. That the model is brand new and hot commodity. Its flying off the shelf. We talked extensively about pedestals. Pricing etc. Then they didnt remember to do one thing resulting in having to stick around to re-ring. Not the end of the world. Then we had to wait a week for delivery. Then they forgot to ring the pedestals so it didnt show up on delivery. Then we had to go back up there. To which there was only 1 of each in stock but the price went up $50 each. Then we had to wait another week plus. Then that delivery guy didnt know how to install and they were scratched. Then it turned out there were no more in stock or being made ever. And NO others are made itto fit. Not carrying. Then they arent allowed to install. So we had to do ourselves and there r screws in odd places so my floor got ruined. For the new thousand total spent this is unacceptable, we didnt really plan to spend that much and they arent that great. Someone called and wanted to give us a refund but then said she couldnt because the store threw a small credit back. While I appreciate the effort its not nearly helpful enough. Nor going to fix the floor. Or 6 calls and 3 or 4 visits up to the store. Clearly of all the kindness, no one really knew the truth.

2022-03-24My husband and I were clothes dryer shopping 3/5/22. Matt F was great! He was knowledgeable and helped us make an informed decision. Delivery was a little rough, but Matt made everything right and we could not be happier with our purchase. I highly recommend the appliance department at Lowes, Matt and Yami were terrific! I love my new dryer!

2022-04-13This specific location is okay. Staff seemed willing to help, though there is some confusion over which staff has responsibility over certain areas.Main issue is Lowes main site and distribution.-Delivery delayed 2 weeks (On top of a 2 week wait) on the day item was supposed to ship. This delay cost and extra $300 on my end-Repeated cancellations of online order for no discernible cause-Customer support will send you from dead end to dead end-In some of those dead ends, the system automatically hangs up wasting hours of time-Contracts local plumbers and adds a premium to their service for little effort on Lowes end.To sum it up, maybe try Home Depot for appliances.

2022-05-01Terrible delivery service. They promised me to deliver dishwasher on Saturday, nobody showed up and nobody even called us. We had to call them, we were put on hold over an hour, finally rescheduled in two days, still waiting.Just be careful !!!!!!!

2021-12-18The contractor that came out to put up my blinds, Kurt, did an amazing job. He came out almost immediately and installed my blinds. He was very nice both times he was here. He was also very professional and they look great!

2022-05-30Lance went above and beyond today to make sure we had exactly the storm door we were looking for, gave advice on sales and promotions and offered to ring us up on the spot and help us load the door into our car. He was personable, friendly, and kept up a cheerful conversation as we walked to the car.
