I was able to get everything that I needed to finish the project that I was working on.Although I didnt require assistance, I had two different people ask me if they could help me find what I was looking for.Given todays supply and human resource issues, the store was well staffed and stocked.
I always shop at Lowes, too me they have a great variety of products. Also, during covid they were one of the only stores that kept their merchandise in stock! Their garden center is full of beautiful flowers and all your landscaping needs. I am a military wife of a disabled vet and I appreciate the designated parking for disabled veterans!!
Looking for ideas and prices on kitchen cabinets and met Patrice, who is an expert in this field. She was very kind and patient with us, very knowledgeable and offered up a few ideas. She is a Kitchen Project Specialist. She put together our kitchen, printed out photos, and a cost for each item. Definitely pleased with her and her assistance! Cant wait to get the project started!!! Westland location.
The worst delivery service you’ll ever deal with! They don’t do their own deliveries anymore & whatever company they use is the absolute worst! In the spring it took them 3 times to bring us a refrigerator that wasn’t completely dented up or broken. One of the delivery guys named Jeff didn’t know how to take our wood door off! When I told him how he asked for the tools because he didn’t have any! He couldn’t figure it out so decided he’d open the fridge & freezer doors & try to get it in that way! I had to help. His partner fell off my front porch while helping! The scraped our living room wall & chipped the door frame. Canton LowesSecond appliance delivery 12/29/21 for a gas stove. They brought it in & set it in place & the glass door shattered into a million pieces all over our kitchen! They refused to take it with them & said they can’t until they bring the new one on New Years Day at ( between 8am -noon) never called or showed up! They can’t explain why it wasn’t delivered because we were on the list! Today 1/2/22 guaranteed between 8am & noon. Not here at 1pm! We called & we’re told there are 8 deliveries before us! This delivery company that Lowes is using SUCKS & when you speak to the manager at the stores of purchase they are completely useless! Westland Lowes
The worst lowes Ive ever in life been to and or called - there team SUCKS they need to fire all from management on the way down and restart. John (I believe thats his name) is the only one that cares but one person cant carry the world. GM needs to send family in so he can see how this store is ran!Poor, poor, poor service!
Today, I went to pick up paint and was feeling pretty overwhelmed by the items I needed to buy. Tom who works in the paint department was so kind, patient and I just overall really appreciated his help! I didnt feel rushed and he answered all questions. I also stopped by the doors department where Brandon took his time to explain to me the difference between the types of doors available and the best options. Again, another employee who was helpful, kind and patient. I had so many questions and I just really appreciate both of the for helping me today!
Got the most amazing curbside pickup service ever. The (30-something) guy covering this task was concerned that he had six pickups going at once and, to provide fast service, literally sprinted to and from the store to deliver packages to the waiting customers. Outstanding!
Paid to have vinyl floors installed through this location. Big mistake. The order was jacked up from the start. Took our payment, but never told us the flooring we chose was no longer available. We didn’t find out until we went back a month later. Once that was resolved we eventually had the install completed. Everything looked good at first, but it didn’t take long before the terrible craftsmanship revealed itself. Transitions were wrong, then glued down where you can see the bog globs of glue (pics). Also had boards cut short, but tried to hide it (pics). Brought the installer and Lowes out several times, but they see nothing wrong with this work. Both Lowes and the installer said this to us. Never, ever use Lowes for vinyl floor install. They do not stand behind their work and will leave your home looking terrible!
Went to this Lowes for a few things and Tony, a manager, helped me. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing I didnt like is that I wanted yard waste bags and had to go from the plumbing department all the way into the garden area. As I was checking out, I mentioned it to the cashier and she said There they are and pointed into the exit lobby. Well, Im leaving, Im not going to come back in, stand in line again just to buy bags. They should be at the entrance, not the exit! But, Tony was great! :)
Customer service struck a new Lowes! See what I did there? Anywho, Check out with armatures. The only lane is empty but tied up because the customer went back into the store for some reason or another, the punky disrespectful girl at the register basically refused to process my purchase, a simple lets go to this other register would have worked. She just stood there like I was the problem. went to the self check and got more of I am doing you a favor response. Really? Doing me a favor? Hello Home Depot! Got my merchandise at a lower cost.
I placed an order online for a snow blower , unfortunately the one I wanted never arrived to store, called my local lowes and the manager John made things right for me upgrading me to a craftsman snowblower at no extra charge , Matt the person incharge of gardening personally took care of me and arranged everything so the snowblower would be deliver at my house free of charge. Thanks guys
I kept saying to one employee excuse me, excuse me as he was walking in the other direction down the isle. As he was getting further away he looked back as I was saying excuse me again and he just kept going. If I had time I would have followed him and gotten his name. I asked another employee where a product was she said we dont have anything like that. I went and looked myself, because obviously she was not going to show me what they did have. I went right to what I was looking for and took it to show her what it was I was asking about, she didnt seem to like that at all. I didnt do it being nasty, I just did it to show her the item I was looking for. Obviously if this store were not in 5hat particular location the way some of the staff are would run it into the ground. Well the one in Westland only one person really works while the others stand around and talk. One guy everytime was the only one asking me and other people may I help you, or are you finding what you are looking for. Next time I go and I see the same thing happening Im getting his name so I can right a review on good customer service and getting things sold. It was so obvious my sister said what I was thinking, do Im sure we were not the only ones that noticed. I truly hope they do not rub off on him. It was like they were at the part small talking and getting paid for it, the conversation was loud and clear. The only thing missing was a bear and a hot dog.
Like shopping in store...great prices and helpful staff.Online order was disappointment......several delays and order came in several boxes on several different days.Lost two installer dates because ofdelayed deliveries!Had to order online elsewhere...returned Lowes items after ALL delayed deliveries finally came.
This Lowes continues to impress me with their very helpful and friendly associates. It is obvious store management values their customers and make sure all their associates do as well. Store is kept clean and well stocked. I prefer coming to this store over their competitor that is much closer to my house.
Friendly staff and well stocked location! my husband and I spoke with a lovely woman in plumbing who was very helpful with our questions regarding a part. There were many available employees who were more than willing to help out! I love going to a location where the employees are friendly when you ask questions!
Went to the Westland location with hope that the stock in store matched online inventory. I was very pleased. I was greeted as soon as I reached the floor department. I explained what I was looking for and was shown options and found exactly what I was looking for. As a bonus, I found some great clearance in the garden department. Very happy with the service at THIS location.
The ladies in the paint department know whats up. I had a color that wasnt matching right. The computer kept pulling up a green color even though it was a blue/gray color and she spent the time to try and make it right. Also, when we couldnt match it she pulled out all the color books and went through all of them with me finding a color that was closest to the one I was trying to match.
My husband and i went to get us a lawnmower. The one my husband wanted was not at the westland store. So Esther helped us out my looking this lawnmower. She found the last one at the canton Lowes. She had them get it down off the shelf and had it ready for us a the service desk. When we got there not only was it ready for us , but our service desk person Char helped us check out fast. She was very helpful and made us feel welcome.So in conclusion Esther from westland and Char from canton did a great job going out of their way to help and get what we wanted. Great ladies Great job.
I go in find what I want purchase it and done. Parking is great. Sales reps are well informed, pleasant, detail oriented. If somethings not in stock they order it let you know when it is expected set up pick-up or delivery date right then and there or offer you to try another store.
Purchased a floor from this location and was supposed to get it delivered. They claimed that I still owed money and canceled my delivery. However, this is not the case. My receipt has my balance paid in full. I keep calling and continue to be rudely blown off, even after multiple calls. Horrible customer service!!!!!! Even the manager claimed to have a “specialist” call me and I’m still waiting. I had to cancel plans to be available for a delivery and the customer service is horrible. There is no contact at this place willing to help me. Don’t deal with this store!!!!!!! Go elsewhere if you can!
I had to return an item today. Even with covid-19, their customer service desk was awesome. I was in and out of the store within two or three minutes. Plenty of customer service Associates available to help any customer that needed it while I was there. Store was clean, as usual. You pay a little bit more at Lowes, but the cost is worth going to a store where items are stocked and there is customer service available at all times.
The service was awesome!! I didnt feel like any questions were a dumb question!! These 2 guys were absolutely great! I wrote there names on my receipt but cant seem to find it!! Man these guys were so good to us. Older white guys. 1 from bathroom an other from lighting!! Totally helpful and explained EVERYTHING 👌
Just bought a house this September. Although this location is a 15 minute drive compared to a 5 minute drive to other national home improvement stores, this is my preferred company to do business with. For starters, they’re full staffed. Which helps when you’re trying to navigate the isles for tools and hardware. Secondly, their selection is on par with other stores. Lastly, their prices are fair (check out the clearance/open box section for GREAT deals!).I highly recommend this store for any DIY project or home improvement project.
Zero rating. Im so disgusted with the customer service I received at Lowes. Im new to doing any kind of home improvements so its no surprise that I bought the wrong kind of paint. I knew they had a 90 day return policy so I wasnt in any rush to return my $32.00 pint, yes, pint of paint, especially since we are in the middle of this COVID pandemic. Prior to 90 days I went to return the unused paint only to find out that it is a 30 day return policy for paint. When I asked if I could have an in-store credit the customer service person asked, Amy, the manager and before she could finish the question the manager said no. I then asked if she was the manager which she said yes. I asked if 30 days was printed somewhere on the receipt because I think I had 90 days. She said no, I should have read the return policy before making my purchase. Again I asked about an in-store credit, she replied with, nope. Not, Im really sorry I wish I could offer you something unfortunately that is the policy.... no she said nothing like that, just nope. I was thoroughly disgusted. I then said, lesson learned, Ill never shop here again. She said, thats fine. I still cant believe the tone and rudeness from a manager! I will NEVER shop there again. No wonder their stock is dropping, because their customer service is atrocious. They should be embarrassed at how they talk to customers. I give them a one star rating because a zero star wasnt an option.
I would just like to let everybody know that there is this awesome guy named Matt(Lowe’s Westland Mi) in the Appliance Dept(washer and dryer area) who was very helpful, kind and polite and has helped me looked for(in less than 10minutes)the washer I needed. He made my day!!! Thank you, Matt!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Had what I needed. First young man I spoke with was new and didnt know so he found someone who did. Pricing was way off from another store that popped up online which was a good distance away. A manager who was training someone came by and I asked him and he price matched for me. All in all a good experience.
Asked lumber guy to help me with wood around 12:15 and he stated he was going on break and couldnt do that I asked him who could and he turned back around and said I cant thats for sure he walked up to the right side register in lumber and walked out the door. I waited near the register and told her what he did she was rude and snappy at me then when I told her she cant be yelling at customers she called up the service desk guy and he then refused my business. These employees should be terminated for they have no idea I pay for them to have their jobs. Arguing with customers aparantly at lowes in Westland is what they do. I will take my business to home depot.
I used to go to the Canton location a few miles away, but I stopped here once because I was in the area and this is now my go-to. The selection is about the same, but the service here is great. The few times Ive needed help or had questions the staff has been very helpful. Its also never overly-busy here, which is just a bonus.
I am in the process of renovating my kitchen. I went to this Lowes to purchase my appliances for my kitchen (were talking thousands of dollars.) Ive always been a loyal Lowes customer. Im a veteran and love that they give a 10% discount to veterans and its a nice perk that theres a designated veteran parking spot. After patiently waiting in the appliance department for over 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was there, I was finally greeted and very rudely told that the appliance I wanted wasnt in stock and would have to be special ordered. I went to this location because online it said the appliance was in stock. I mentioned this... To make a long story short the associate who helped me seemed to be happy to see me walk away empty handed. I was not being rude about the situation. Im a very understanding person and would have been happy to special order this appliance if this person had not been so rude to me. I was FUMING when I left the store. Lowes lost thousands of dollars from me personally just on my appliances alone. I will never return to this Lowes location again and probably will never shop at Lowes for any of my future home improvement needs. I do not feel valued as a customer. This corporation claims to care so much about veterans, I especially do not feel valued as a veteran.
The service was fantastic especiallyTom who made a extra special effort to find a room freshing spray that had an odd name. He looked on line until he located it. Found me still shopping in the store and brought a small selection to choose from. Now thats what I call A+ customer service. Also thank you to the associate who saved us from purchasing plants that werent 75%off (3 of them at 12.98 ea). Thank you to Lowes for a very pleasant experience.
If I could give this location zero stars I would. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS.We ordered kitchen cabinets from here and it has been an absolute disaster. We got a message the cabinets were in and when I called back no one answered the phones to schedule the delivery for 1 week! Literally could not get through to one person in the store for a week.When we got the delivery, Items were missing and delivered damaged and the new truck carrying the replacement items the following day only had Items that were damaged and missing from the order.We were also told multiple times we didn’t order something, which we were staring at right on our invoice.We had 2 delivery incidents where the truck didn’t even show up and we waiting at home all day during their 5 hour delivery window they provided the night before.When you call the store for help no one answers the phone in deliveries or customer care and it just rings until it hangs up because it rings so long.We were supposed to have our 5th delivery attempt today and did not get a call confirming the time so we finally gave up calling the store and called corporate and they said our delivery is scheduled between 8am- 8pm. So for the 5th time they want us to sit here all day hoping they show up with something.We are NEVER shopping this location again.
Sasha from Kitchen Cabinet Installation Department made our plans for renovation of our laundry room come to life. She is knowledgeable and patient. She helped with all the Minuit details with trim and spacing. This all happened during the Pandemic. She followed all the guidelines and that meant so much to me!I called her multiple times with questions and she was always very professional and glad to help me. This I really appreciated. I didn’t know all the details about our design and she was there to fill in the blanks. Thank You Sasha! Your my Essential Hero!
We ordered kitchen cabinets for this location and it is still a disaster. This is the 5th delivery attempt. Twice we’ve waited hours and no one has shown up, nor did we get a call canceling. The others were missing items or they were damaged. We have ordered cabinets from Allen Park Lowe’s and it was great. Avoid this store at all costs. We cannot even get someone on the phone.
Very disappointed to see employees wearing masks below the nose and the face shields without masks. Did not feel comfortable. And i have been there 4 times in the last 5 days and each time I was not asked if I could be helped but rather had to interrupt employee conversations to ask a question. And when asked a question each employee was reluctant to help and actually short tempered. I am trying to give my business to Lowes rather than the competitors however I may have to rethink that decisuon.
I wish I can give less than 1 star. I shopped fromLowes for $6000 and the employee offered me the credit card with 20% off on my entire purchase. I ran my credit and once I was approved the associate and myself went to the counter for checkout process and there she said we can just get a 5% discount not 20% since the discount was just for up to $100 purchase. I inquired twice before running my credit that the discount would be on whole purchase and she said yes. I got upset and she called her manager and the manager offered me a discount of 10%. I dont what was going on, they can offer anything to anyone. This was a total harassment and i would never recommend anyone to take Lowes credit card. They are deceiving people with false information.
Wish I could give them zero. But the lady with glasses and blonde hair watering the plants in the garden section today was really rude. So if you’re that lady, hope Lowe’s gives you a class on customer service cause I’m not really sure who peed in your Cheerios this morning but you need it.
I have to say first off I have never actually been inside this store. I ordered a cooler for curbside pickup because it was the only store anywhere near me that had the size I wanted (apparently) in stock. The confirmation email said not to come to the store until I hear from them that its ready, and to be patient since things are backed up right now. Okay, totally fine. Then after not hearing anything for probably 8 hours I go on the website and check the order status, and it says CANCELED. No explanation, nothing. I understand if you run out and cant fill the order, but do you not contact the customer and let them know??? This makes zero sense to me. I need the cooler for a protest this weekend and Im pretty annoyed I was waiting around all day because nobody bothered to tell me they didnt have what I ordered.
After having a not so pleasant experience with an online order (and a very rude customer service associate with your call center) I finally was able to make contact with a manager to try to resolve my issue. Russel was very professional and went out of his way to make sure I received my products. He really listens to my frustrations and made sure to make it right. If I am ever in the area I would like to thank him in person. I am not sure if Lowe’s knows what an outstanding employee they have but I hope someone in upper management sees this review.
After going to several other places for a new clothes dryer. Being told because of the Covid appliance shortage i couldnt get what i wanted. I would of had to pay hundreds more and 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. I went to Lowes, the salesperson was fantastic. I got a new clothes dryer the brand I wanted and for the price I wanted as well as a delivery date only 2 days away.
I had a great experience at this Lowe’s! Jeff in lumber was extremely professional and helpful with assisting me pick out the best type of plywood for my project and cutting it to the dimensions I needed. I especially liked that he didn’t treat me like some dumb girl but just another customer, which I really appreciate! Especially compared to my experience at another home improvement store earlier today when the workers were too busy to help and referred to me as “sweetheart”Lowe’s has my future business!
My husband and I recently closed on a home and got our obligatory digital package of coupons from USPS. Ive been doing the fixer-upper thing and had already spent a few hundred in this store before the coupon. I decided to go purchase some odds and ends and spent over an hour of very precious unpacking time in the store gathering items totaling about $200. I get to the register and Im informed that they cannot key in the coupon code if it doesnt scan. She sends me to customer service and they say the same thing. I insist, because scanning a bar code only enters the numbers shown below the code. There is no magic to it. They say they cant honor the coupon. After I ask to speak to a manager, the head cashier mumbles some stuff to the manager with a total this annoying person here... vibe. Manager refuses to come up and I leave. It was principal at that point. All that trouble for 20 bucks. They will have to pay someone more than that to put the stuff away. Ive had a few bad experiences with Lowes Westland and have vowed to be a Home Depot girl from now on. Sad for Lowes, cause I have a lot of projects to go and usually spread the wealth between both stores. Never again after I was treated like a disobedient teenager. Mind you, I have an up-beat humorous demeanor normally. Not in this instance, though, I gave what I got.
Had cabinets, floor, counter tops, sink, and electrical under the sink redone with Lowe’s. There is a floor contractor, cabinets and sink contractor and then a countertop contractor. None of which communicate with each other. There is a corporate project manager but she doesn’t do anything to assist, it is all up to you to coordinate everything between the 3 contractors.The flooring contractor didn’t properly check under the cabinets and told the cabinet contractor to install first. There was a layer of flooring under the cabinets which they installed them on top of. This made it so we couldn’t get new floors because they wouldn’t be level with the rest of our house. The option was to have them uninstalled wait an additional week or two for the flooring and then have them reinstalled again. We decided to update our plumbing instead.The cabinets contractor does not clean up afterwards. They left a giant mess that we had to clean up. When they arrived initially, the workers didn’t have the work list of what to do so we had to tell them. After the work they left all the debris in the yard. I had to contact Lowe’s, to contact the contractor to come out and pick it up. The owner of that company came and got the debris, looked at their work and obviously had no idea what our project even was.The countertop contractor was easy to work with but it takes 2-3 weeks for a countertop to be made just as an FYI. Lowe’s doesn’t tell you this upfront.After the coin top was installed the cabinet contractor was suppose to come out the following day to install the sink, electric and dishwasher back in. They didn’t call in the morning, we sent a text. No reply, we called in the afternoon. Got voice mail. Called us back and forgot...Good luck. You will need it.
Visited the Westland location looking for outside doors. Had an extremely knowledgeable man, Jonathan, take care of us. He was very patient and nice while taking the time to explain everything we needed to know about ordering doors for our house. Thank you so much for all your assistance Jonathan!!!! You were great!!!
Ordered a dishwasher and was told it would be delivered into the house and in any room we wanted. I also paid to have them take away the old one. The driver showed up, dumped the dishwasher and left without even attempting to contact someone in the house. Didnt take the old one away AND THEN FORGED MY SIGNATURE SAYING THE JOB WAS COMPLETE AND I WAS SATISFIED. Lowes and JB Hunt (delivery company) are now giving me the run around and no one is providing this document that I apparently signed.
Went tonight to buy a snowblower, there was no one in the snowblower section. I asked a lady in a red vest by the cashier if she could help me find a snowblower that I saw online, she said that there were only two left ( but there were at least 7 on the floor) but I would have to ask someone with a red vest in that section, every time I looked at somone with a red vest, the person turned away. I walked out.
Terrible. One young lady tried to be very helpful but wasnt completely aware. She asked an older lady, who looked at us crazy as though my item was unheard of. Another older lady was rude. Wouldnt even look at me. They literally didnt have anything i needed that was offered at other stores/online. Maybe this was a unique situation but it sure didnt seem like this was anything but business as usual there. Shouldve went to home depot.
My husband and I bought a picnic table online from Lowes a few days ago and yesterday called and had it delivered. We got it this morning and aside from wood splintering off, theres also a screw thats come up through the top. Had we known that it would be put together like this, or at all, we would have found a way to get it and put it together ourselves so our 2 year our doesnt scratch himself on a screw. I emailed customer service got an automated reply that their customer service email isnt being monitored. So now I have to call.
We ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s to be delivered today. We confirmed it multiple times and coordinated with the store so that it would be delivered as planned. Now fast forward, it was not delivered today “it never made it on the truck.” They have no timetable for it to be delivered.This is absolutely unacceptable. Furthermore, no explanation to why this happened.
The customer service lady didnt know how to pull my online pre purchased order up took forever. Then had to pay for the rest of my items through self check out. Because they couldnt do it there. What should had been 20 minutes turned into 2 hours. Never again will go this store.
Horrible experience with refrigerator order. Product was to be delivered 7/16/20. Never received after hours on the phone with management, the next day I was told refrigerator unavailable now. Very poor customer service and extremely difficult to actually speak to a person when calling store. This was Lowes in Westland Michigan. Will never shop Lowes again!
Ive been looking for patio furniture for a while. I saw some I liked and asked associate Lori for help. I havent had such a pleasant customers service experience in quite a while. Not only did she track down a large cart for my items she helped me load them in my vehicle. This was a very pleasant experience . I hope upon return other employees are the same.
Ive been here twice and will not return.The first time I went to buy a furnace humidifier. The only mid level one they had in stock was opened, returned and opened again. You could tell from the cut tape on the opened box. Looking through it I was skeptical that all the components were there. Being this is a $200 unit I was hesitant to just buy it and figure it out. I took it to the customer service counter and asked them if they had any more. If its not on the shelf then we dont have it. I asked about the open box hoping to have them offer a 10% comp or something and all I got was I can have our plumbing guy take a look and make sure its all there. I didnt want to take my chances so I returned it to the shelf and left.Second time I was at another location (due to my previous encounter) and was looking for a set of blinds. The store I was at (further North) only had one in stock so I asked if another store around had one. They looked in their system and found the store in Westland said they had one. Reluctantly I had them call. They took over 30 min and had to call 3 or 4 times to finally have someone do a stock check. They said they had it so I went down there again. Of course they did not have the correct blinds so I ended up returning them both.Ive never had bad luck with Lowes but this one has burned be twice and I wont be back. Other than the customer service received the store seemed clean and like any other Lowes.
I dont really go to Lowes but the workers were extremely helpful the last time I went. I ended up cutting 6 of my fingers while I was there and the lady at the cash register was super attentive. She got me several bandaids and helped clean off the blood I got on the garbage can I was purchasing. I wish I remembered her name, but she was very helpful and kind.
Came to Lowes looking to purchase a grill, Tia was exceptional on helping me find the grill i was looking for! She also went above and beyond to find accessories for me , she walked to the other side of the store so i didnt have to! She also grabbed 3 different stainless steel cleaners for me and priced them out for me as i stood in line waiting for check out. She was professional, knowledgeable and quick with a solution. She definitely made the experience stress free! I;m all about giving reviews where they are due, and she really went above and beyond for me! Also the Deandra at check out was quick and knowledgeable as well about the rebate questions i had. Five star service all around!!
Management is superb and the young men that help with loading are kind and helpful. During this crisis and pandemic; their patience with the public is truly humbling. The location is also clean and organized, thank you for your service in helping the community finish some home projects to keep sane!!
Great people here but some have no clue to where things are in the store. I chose lowes over Home Depot any day. One worker walked me to everything I needed n it was alot. Tony was very patient with me and did all he could to help. My house is looking so much better.
Just left Lowes in Westland Mi. Was very unhappy with the customer service!!! There wasnt any!!! Went to buy two exterior doors and we had no help offered. We seen a worker and asked him for help only for him to tell us thats not his department and the girl was on break for 15 minutes. We said alright and waited. When we finally found the girl that worked at the door counter (Not sure what her name was), she tried to ignore us and take off down an isle. I said Excuse me twice for her to turn around with attitude and say Yeah. It was attitude from the get go and my husband said We would like to order some doors. She huffed over to the computer and my husband said Lets go!! We waited for her to get off her break to give us attitude!!! We didnt need that!!! She didnt want to do her job!!! I really liked Lowes but we will go elsewhere from now on.
So far disappointed how this store is run during covid. People can come in with or without masks, the carts are not disinfected, the line for registers say to line up but some people cut the line and cashiers don’t say anything. Really needs to be run better and isles cleared of junk to allow for more space.
I visited the store 8/28/2017 and was helped by Chris and Jake in the hardware section and Kristin checked me out at the register. Not that my past experiences have been bad, but I am not typically wowed when I visit Lowes or any other hardware store for that matter. Today was different. All three of the above employees were extremely courteous, friendly, quick and eager to help me. I hope that the managers know how good these three are.
This locations customer service sucks!! I came to buy a washer and dryer and no one seems to know I exist. ☝🏾One worker came and told me he wasnt from this department but would let the guy who was know I needed assistance when he was done helping other customers. Once done he looked in my direction and walked the other way swiftly. I will never shop here again!!! Smh.
From start to finish the service was amazing!!! The staff at Lowes saved Thanksgiving for my family. Our refrigerator died 2 days before the holiday. I contacted the customer service dept and they found me a new one, and had it delivered the next morning. The delivery guys top notch. They had the old one out, and the new one set up within 15 min. Mark in the vanity, bath dept. was very helpful, had a big project amd he helped me through every step. Visited 3 4 times and remembered my name as soon as he seen me!. Made sure I had everything in order. Came the next day, to pick up my product amd he made sure to grab what I purchased and labeled them with my name! Amazing guy! Also assist. Manager chris made sure I had the right tool to my savings! Best experience i had. Thank you!
I have to say first off the Westland Lowes is a great store the people are amazing this is more of a issue I have with online and the customer service. Im sorry they just got to take the Brunt of my frustration. I ordered an item online that I found on a good deal.I would need about 2 weeks. When I didnt hear anything back. so I send a email, they respond and tell me itll be in the store by the end of January. Okay, ill wait 4-5 days after that.they send me another email and cancel my order. is supposably the item had been mis-priced. and now the person who was telling it. no longer has it in stock. I called the vendor and they have it in stock. so basically Lowes you lied to me and you canceled my order without even asking me if I wanted it at a higher price than what I got it for. You straight cancelled and lied. Now you left me very unhappy with you guys. I wont do business with you again. You might not feel the loss of my business. But when you continue to lie and deceive your customers eventually feel kick into in real life and then thats when you will feel that loss. Shout out to The Big Box store thats Orange. And the other one that has nothing but rebates when you buy stuff
I generally like Lowes , I was looking for a hard hat this trip. I asked a couple employees where to find them, instead of telling me they werent sure they guessed an aisle. Honesty is always the best policy, if you dont know just say so and either look it up or find someone who does. Store was clean and tidy as usual, Lowes is a great store
I was not a customer for Lowe’s a year ago, I went to this store to purchase an item on my way to home, I was amazed by the customer service. After that, this store became my go to store for anything the store carries. I have been purchasing a lot from this store, never had any issues. Neil and other store manager were amazing as well.
I walked in and was greeted by Amanda I. She was very friendly. She noticed I had a basket with a defective wheel and offered me another one.I then came across Chris W., who was letting someone know he was going on break. Once he noticed me, he smiled and said, Hi! Can I help you find something? I asked if he could call someone to help me since it was time for his break. He insisted on helping me. I was looking for some plywood. He helped me find the right type, and search for a piece that wasnt warped. That piece just happened to be on the bottom. He cut it for me and I was on my way. Amanda rang me up and I was good to go.I wanted to make sure these two were recognized for their excellent customer service. If they worked on commission, I would have purchased everything they were selling. I know they were doing their jobs, but youd be surprise how many people have an, Im just here for a pay check type of attitude.
This is equally close to a competitor store. I am done with this location and potentially Lowes overall. No one is ever seen to offer assistance, despite the stores size. You can easily wander for a great deal of time with no clue as to where you need to go. Then, if you do find someone, they tell you that whatever you are looking for is not their department. We were shopping for a snow blower and were comparing different models. An associate would have been very helpful, but none appeared. Those who walked by ignored us. Im through.
I like the options of items, and varying degrees of quality, from high to low. We were in the flooring dept, and the gentleman was very knowledgeable and was awesome at his job. Would have gave 5 stars but gave him my address twice, and was still wrong after l recieved a call from the installer, to confirm.
Talked to two employees a total of three times trying to get someone to the flooring department.No reason a department shouldnt have at least one person working it, particularly when the employee is needed in order to get the desired product in the first place.I was in the flooring department for well over 30 at least 20 minutes of it with employees knowing..Sadly not the same service I remember from this store years ago..
Cant cancel an order on line unless I set up an acct. Cant cancel via IM bc they cant do it. Cant get thru to the 800 number on the email that told me the in stock merch I ordered for pick up now isnt available for over a week. Had to call the brick and mortar store. 90 min of my life gone. Jeez why no link in the notification email to cancel??
I waited for almost 45 minutes, plus on one would answer the phone for curb side pick up, i tried 2 times. When i went in the store they still could notfind my order. When i asked anout the curb side pick up i wad tod thats the way that gril dose it. The curb side has to wait untill she is good and ready to answer the phone. So i canceled the order. I will never shop ther again.
Great prices, they always have what Im looking for and usually have sales on it. This is my go to hardware store. I even got my 65 year old mother addicted to going here. Around Christmas they have the cheapest deals around on real trees. I go every year. Literally half the price of home depot
Came here today to price cabinets and possibly order them. A women named Sasha was our associate and she was very rude and gave us the vibe that she had no interest in helping us because “she has an appointment in 30 minutes”. My husband and I left within 5 minutes of being there.
Customer service became very rude when they couldnt find an item number for a broken tool I brought in to exchange. After I quickly found the item number for her online she became extremely rude and pushed me aside to help other customers. After waiting about 20 minutes she said they had 4 in stock but they couldnt find it. I will not be returning as there are many other stores nearby that are happy to take my business.
I bought & had blinds installed in the kitchen & bathroom bout 2 yrs ago. The blinds in the bathroom fell. I went to Lowes & got new brackets to hang them back up. Well they cant be rehung cuz the guy that installed them put 2 of the screws in crooked & no one can get them out. When the blinds fell (the only time they were touched was to open & shut window & that day I didnt open window). Dont have them install anything. Do it yourself. Wont be going back.
I ordered a new refrigerator from lowes in westland mi and the delivery service said have everything out of the way and said they would be out here in between 8:30 am and 12:30 so then lowes calls me at 12noon to tell me after all of this they dont have my refrigerator in how on real I will never will do business with them Im changing my store to home depot lowes is the worest people in town to deal with.
Ive had mixed experiences with Lowes. Customer service dept/Returns was great, also John in appliances.-Purchased 7 ceilings fans. 3 Worked.-Purchased a refrigerator. Now a day before its suppose to be delivered they tell me its not in yet. I even pushed it back an extra week for them! Ive had several issues with the delivery company scheduling delivery when I told them Im not available and then Lowes calling me saying its not in stock yet. This has been going on for a month now. No one is on the same page.-Qualified for a gift card for purchasing my appliances from them. Then they tried to say I didnt qualify for it when I had the paperwork saying I did..-Had issues with getting an installer for my dishwasher and they had to call a special company to install it on a weekend.
My boyfriend and I are FREQUENT shoppers at this location, between the both of us we are maybe 3 times a week (sometimes multiple times a day). We love it here! I spend most of my time in the painting department, and I wanted to mention someone that always helps me. I feel terrible that I can not remember his name, but he is an older gentleman who worked the evening of 11/1.Hes SUPER helpful and patient. I ask 100 questions and he doesnt make me feel like Im being a burden. My 4yr old daughter loves him too haha and when she talks to him he doesnt ignore her like most people do in establishments like this. Again, my family loves the Westland Lowes and will continue to give it our business as long as its staff continues to be amazing!Sincerly,A renovation-holic Mom.
Your customer service and staff are PHENOMENAL! I want to talk specifically about my experience this evening with your staff Antonio and Shakir. My parents bought and pre-ordered a grill a few days ago, and today we picked it up. Unfortunately, my moms car was too small for the grill. They spent almost a full hour de-assembling parts of the grill and troubleshooting how to get the grill to pick inside our car, even getting almost eaten alive by mosquitos in the process. After about an hour, they were able to help dissemble some parts so that it would fit perfectly and lifted it into the car. At the end my mom wanted to tip them both $20 each as a sign of appreciation for all of their hard work and effort, but they politely and honorably turned it down saying that they were not allowed to due to store policy. Fantastic guys! Great customer service certainly does not go unnoticed and unappreciated. Everyone we interacted with were personable and helpful, but please especially commend Antonio and Shakir for doing great work at your location!
Just left the Westland Lowes about 30 minutes ago. I went in to look at some lighting that they have on sale. Horrible customer service. This store has really gone down hill. I had a question, so I walked over to the lady working in lighting. Just as I approached her (it was obvious I needed help) another Lowes employee walked up and asked her to fill in in another department. They both looked directly at me and neither one of them asked if they could help me. They simply turned and walked away.This Lowes really has terrible customer service. I have a Home Depot and a Menards right by my house. I dont need Lowes.

2022-03-24Great visit. Look what I made! The staff was helpful with picking out everything i needed. I used newspaper and a marker and scissors and a utility knife as well as a tape measure to make a template then i transferred the markings onto the vinyl and cut it out using a ruler and the rest. Came out great! Hopefully will extend my tiles life for a year or so while i save some money to get my tile redone. 26 bucks for the vinyl and a few blades for my utility knife.

2021-12-11If i could give 0 stars I would. I paid close to 7000$ for a privacy fence. I have had multiple issues. First, they installed the gate crooked and with a huge gap, completely negating the purpose of a privacy fence. Next, they damaged my neighbors fence doing the install and was rude when addressing her about the repair. They did not do tye repair properly. Finally, today my fence literally fell apart. I have included photos of everything. The installers were less than excited to help with the subpar installation. This is absolutely insane. I can not believe that this is the quality work provided by a home improvement company. I feel like i got this done from Ikea. Ridiculous!

2022-04-29Had a great trip to Lowes today. A young man helped us find the grill we were looking for and loaded it on a cart for us. We also bought some gardening/landscaping supplies. They had everything we wanted, check-out was fast and we were outta there. Exactly what you want in your home improvement store. Highly recommend!!

I had asked her about the soil I paid for & she immediately went & put it on a cart & brought the 4 bags of Sta-Green garden soil & loaded it into my car. She was very, very helpful. 2022-06-20They do have some exceptional employees, and this review shouldnt reflect negatively on them. However, just save yourself the headache and go down the street to the orange store. I was told in not so many words that if you are not a commercial account, youre not a priority. So basically my loyalty and money is not appreciated. They lost a longtime customer who has spent thousands over the years.

2022-07-03Do not buy from this place. We bought a fridge Thursday. We were promised delivery today. They screwed up and never put it on the truck. Now we cant get it until Tuesday!! Worst experience of our lives. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

2022-05-10First let me start off by stating that Home Depot and Lowes are almost the same. Yes, Menards is different than these 2 home improvement stores. I think the biggest complaint I have is getting someone to cut a pipe or rope or chain or wood, etc. The odds of that person the right person is slim to none. I have to wait a while a FEW times because only 1 worker is trained whatever. This is the same as Home Depot, so that is the reason I give it 5 stars still. It is amazing for the exact same product how much difference Home Depot, Lowes and Menards are. I have seen prices for the same products be: $19.99, $22.99 and $24.99. Sometimes Lowes is the best price, but you will want to compare. The store is clean and well organized. The biggest tip I can give you for Home Depot & Lowes is purchase online! I know they want you to go into the store and walk around and find other things to buy, but 80% of the time the stuff I buy I actually really do not need. If it is a smaller item that fits in a locker, the speed of getting your product after an online order is very quick. Lowes is quicker than Home Depot most of the time to get the order prepared (usually within an hour versus not much more but Home Depot is usually roughly 2 hours). Either way the lockers are awesome. My wife drops me at the doors and within 10-20 seconds I am out the door. Very cool. Staff is usually friendly and sometimes you will get someone very knowledgeable (not all the times). I personally prefer to go to Ace Hardware if I have a technical question. I would rather spend a little bit more at Ace and 80% time get some that knows what you are trying do than lets say 40% of the time getting someone at the big box stores knowing the knowledge. I like this store and overall you get fair prices.

2022-04-16Stay away from lowes!!! Go to home depot. Disabled vet here. Bought a $350 mattress in a box for my 3 year old daughter. Got home and it was defective. Was told unless i borrow or rent a truck to bring mattress back. There is nothing they are willing to do. They put on a massive front acting like they care about veterans. Its all a lie!!! Manager Andrea from customer care flat out said my daughter and I were out of luck. Nothing she would do.
