Authentic, Fresh, Quality Service and Old World Italian Cuisine..Mark me down as a regular! For National Pizza Party Team, I choose Luigis to order the team a variety of specialty pies, salads, wings, the works! The team loved it, and we will definitely be return customers!
Had the veal parmesan at lunchtime but it was not a lunch special. The quality of the food was very good but I would have liked a slightly larger portion. It was okay for me since it was only lunch but I would have been more disappointed in the size if I purchased this for dinner. The service was timely and the waitress was friendly.
Service was excellent - our server was attentive, but not to the point of being of being obnoxious - just right! The deep-dish pizza, though decent, was not as good as we’d hoped it would be. There didn’t appear to be any tomato sauce on it, and the lack significantly detracted from what would otherwise have been a good one. The antipasto salad was nice enough, but the house Italian dressing served with it had a sweetness that just doesn’t belong in such a dressing. The bread served with seasoned dipping oil was great. The oil was not the EVOO we are used to - it was either a light olive oil or a flavorless vegetable oil - very light, and sort of refreshing in comparison. The cannolis for desert were good - the filling was not overly sweet as with some renditions. The shells were a bit thicker and harder than most I’ve had, and, unfortunately, you could taste the oil the shell was fried in and it tasted like it needed changing. Finally, I had ordered a Bell’s Oberon, and it arrived with a slice of orange on the glass. I really wish they’d ask if you wanted fruit in your beer (almost without exception, I do not), or that it mentioned that it was served with fruit in the menu so you could tell them to hold it. So many restaurants assume (wrongly) that certain beers should be served with citrus, and all that it does is detract from the flavor of the beer… (a rant for another day, I guess). All in all: not somewhere I’d avoid, and I do plan to return to try some of their other fare - man does not live on pizza, antipasto salad, and cannolis alone!
The service wasnt great as well as the food. The service was really slow, especially for it not being busy. The server disappeared often and took a while to come over and bring things. The cheese bread was really good, but thats about it. There pasta is awful. Ive tried the tortellini, alfredo and the mostaccioli. All were undercooked and the alfredo sauce and tortellini are terrible. Also, the tiramisu was the worst Ive ever had.
Id like to take a moment to alert all whom havent been able to dine in or get carry out from Luigis in Livonia. Absolutely unbelievable as far as the menu is concerned, the lasagna is to die for as well as the pizza. Bread. Soups etc, ect, Not toMention the service. I currently am unable to walk and temp only able to get from a to b on crutches. Tom and his staff were without hesitation able to accommodate. Certainly a landmark in the making in our city here in livonia. Thanks again.
Great Italian restaurant, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is clean, the decor is new and warm feeling. Awesome food with some Italian classics and some Detroit twists like the Coney pizza. Reasonable price especially for the quality of food.
It hit the spot 100%. We had a hankering for 🍕 and wanted to dine in so we didnt have to do dishes lol. All joking aside the pizza was well prepared and tasted great. The service was excellent all and all a great experience and we will definitely return to try more of their offerings.
I absolutely love Luigis. The owner, Tomaso- sets the stage for the experience. You can tell he cares about this staff, because the turnover is low. We always see the same friendly waitstaff there. Tomaso cares about everything, his staff, his dishes, the drinks he serves, the wine he chooses. The food is great, traditional dishes- prepared excellently. Everything is homemade. You will not be disappointed.
We love Luigi’s. They have the best Italian food and the service is great. They take family pride in everything they do from the food to service. This is a great restaurant in Livonia, Michigan we have enjoyed many Italian dishes, and their pizza and bread is also awesome. God Bless this great restaurant and family.
Me and my husband love luigis pizza. Great place. We always get our pizza to go but today we decided to eat inside. They didnt disappoint. Vincent was a great waiter. Always had our drinks full and whatever we needed. The manager was friendly when we came in and when we left. We got Mozzarella cheese sticks that was crispy and very cheesy. They gave us table bread. were great!!! And the Suprema pizza. Never had a bad pizza from there. Place was clean and food was fresh. We will always come back for more
I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! We’ve dined here a few times but recently went here after my daughter‘s baptism and they were able to accommodate my family with open arms. Management and wait staff are exceptionally friendly and they truly make this restaurant a cozy and family oriented environment. This is a great place to go for date night or for a casual week night dinner. Menu is simple yet amazingly delicious!!
Our go to place for ordering Italian food. The pastas, pizza, and breadsticks are amazing! The restaurant is very nice and the staff are quick and friendly. They offer delivery if you are close by. the serving sizes are generous also and make for great leftovers the next day!
Ridiculous! Absolutely Ridiculously Amazing place to eat! Writing this review - im a little conflicted. I almost want to keep this place a secret for my wife and I. We Love It! Discovered a few months ago... weve been twice. Being very frugal, a bit pricey for us, but Absolutely worth it. Truly! Staff is more than attentive, the food quality is worth the price. That Homemade Lasagna ... amazing! Oh, well be back and have been back... more to come.
Im truly upset that I just now found this place. Really?? Top notch menu, spot-on wait staff. Atmosphere for a family OR for a special occasion. (I wouldnt feel out of place wearing casual attire or my Sunday best.) Outdoor seating as well!If youve held off going out to eat like I have ...this is where you should go to have your first celebratory 2021 meal. Oh...and get desert. Youve earned it. 👍
Luigi’s is excellent! Everything was just delicious! I had pasta primavera, my husband had veal parmigiana. We also enjoyed calamari, our favorite appetizer. When I tell you we are PICKY I am serious. Besides both of us growing up with authentic Italian cooking, we travel to Italy often. I rarely give reviews. This place is a true 5 star.
First things first, they take reservations!!!!!No one takes reservations anymore, its all about call ahead seating and you still wait 45 minutes. Not here, called a couple hours before, got there 10 minutes early, waited 5 minutes to sit.The food is awesome, pizza is delicious, pasta is delightful and the short ribs, well theyre outa this world.Oh, and the Cannolis are yummy too.
We had a good experience. Weve ordered from here a few times, this was our first time eating in. The man at the front who greeted us was clearly a manager or owner, he was great. Our server was average and the food was good. It would have been nice to know what the chefs special cuts of the day were when we were seated and looking menus. Maybe tell people that while seating them. We will return.
Amazing pizza thats not the usual thing from every pizza joint. Lovely interior to the restaurant even though I didnt eat in and tha staff was very nice and courteous. They spoke to every customer to make sure everyones experience was good. Highly recommend trying for some traditional pizza!!!
Real Italian by real Italians. Everything in this restaurant is made from scratch and that is very evident when you eat there. The restaurant is clean, the food is fantastic and the family that runs it are great people. I cannot say enough good things about this place. My wife and I dine here at least twice a month. Highly recommended.
During the past year, we have dined here with other friends, family on four occasions. For a change, we decided to try their round pizza, with several toppings. Far from disappointed, I rated it as one of the best weve ever had. Thin crust; very tasty; tomato sauce has some flavor compared to others that are simply too bland! Our waitress, Sam, serving there for six years took our orders and we requested one slice of a medium pizza made slightly different as to toppings so a family member could sample it. She enjoyed her sample slice. Her husband enjoyed his pasta dish. Before we end this review, may we make a suggestion to try their antipasto with their own dressing! Sorry, they wont give it out or bottle it. Its simply wonderful. One of the best salads weve had. Service by Sam...right on! Shes young and gets her tables taken care of. So good, were going to get a carry out of another antipasto salad to accompany our unfinished pizza of last night! And yes, they take reservations for four people where many places no longer do! Put this place on your to eat at list.
This was our 1st time trying your restaurant! It was amazing! We had the Chilli Dog Pizza ( best pizza in Michigan! Not kidding!) Also we had the Lobster Ravioli with the Saffron sauce. It was great! Salad & bread great! Service carryout amazing! We will definitely be repeat customers! I will definitely pass the word on about your establishment! Cant wait to try the other items on your menu! Please stay safe and healthy!
Excellent food. WE did pick up due to COVID, it has been a challenge to find take out that endures the trip home. Chicken Piccata, Lasagna, Calzone and Pizza was what my order consisted of- ALL WERE GREAT, sauce is amazing! The team that was working were very friendly and offered prompt service (bought a couple of drinks while we waited) I highly recommend them! WE will be back.
My wife and I both love Luigi’s. We eat there several times a month. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always excellent. I just ate my leftovers from last night, so good. I think at this point we have literally had everything on the menu. Also you must try the homemade cheese cakes. Again SO GOOD.
Stopped here because pizza sounded good and they had a great offer on Yelp. They have a nice indoor seating area and a small patio at the from of the restaurant. We sat outside, which was very nice, however you can get a few smells of cigarette smoke from the parking lot. There were also a few cigarette buts in some of the planters on the patio, which is the main reason Im taking a star off this review, just seemed a little gross. The service was really good, except for telling the hostess we had two people and her saying it would be a 25 minute wait to be seated with there were two or three two person tables inside. She told us we could sit outside if we wanted, so could not figure that one out, however we wanted to anyway. The waitress we had was really good, offered us great advice on what to order, and stayed on top of anything else we needed. We ordered their family deal, which includes a large pizza, table bread, and salad. We added a cheese bread, which ended up being way more food than we needed, as the table bread was more than good enough. The salad could have used a little more dressing, but was okay. The cheese bread was super cheesy and very tasting. The pizza was good, but the curst by far was the best part. It was super crunchy and cooked to perfection.Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend checking them out.
Trying to support local restaurants during the current pandemic but this restaurant makes it really hard.Called place a delivery order, the lady on the phone did not know how to take the card number and kept reading it back wrong and then disconnected the line.I called back several times (7 actually) and was put on hold multiple times and then someone would pick up and then it would disconnect. Finally got back through and put in an order and the man on the phone was able to take the card info correctly.Food showed up, cold. Missing both drinks and both desserts.Called back, they kept saying over and over that we didn’t pay. (even the guy who took the actual order). After repeating the situation multiple times he finally remembers. Oh I see the order right here, sorry about that he says.Instead of sending the missing items he rather would void the charge for the second order and rerun it for another order minus the missing items.Nothing for the inconvenience or cold food. Just wasted time and money on my end.Long story short, if you are going to support a local business during the pandemic, choose one that actually appreciates it.
Surprise for us. Build your own pizza is fantastic. Cheesy bread could not be better. A nice and friendly place. Exceptionally clean and server was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I took small 4 cheese and small black olive and sausage. Enough for 2 meals.
I stopped in for lunch today. It was not busy at 12:00 pm. The prices are moderate for lunch. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and has outdoor seating. The complimentary bread is good, and the olive oil they serve along with it tastes better then that at some other, more expensive restaurants.I chose to build my own pizza, and went with Italian sausage, bacon, and mozzarella cheese (yes, cheese is considered a separate topping. As if thats not bad enough, cheese is actually considered a premium topping according to the menu, and is charged at 1.5x the cost of the regular toppings). I ordered a medium, and it came out be $14.30 before tip.The pizza itself was good, and they didnt skimp on the toppings. Unfortunately, it was so greasy that the bread would not even hold together, so it was no longer a finger food.
I had the pepperoni and sausage pizza. It was excellent. The pepperoni is that spicy, small round pieces. The sausage was mild. It was served with bread pieces that reminded me of crazy bread. The service was pretty good. The price was higher than where youd go for crazy bread, but this is an Italian restaurant, not a fast food place. Overall, a great meal
The. Food. Is. AMAZING! We got there a little late, yet the staff was welcoming and helpful despite the fact they probably wanted to go home. We ate fast and got out right when they closed, yet still they were kind and patient. Thank you!I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was to die for. I also had the arancini, they were very good too. Hubby had the cheese bread and the gnocchi, he loved them both. Of course I had to try them and it was very good!
Finally made it to Luigis for the first time and we will be back. The table bread was fresh, hot, and kid approved! We always order cheese pizzas and Luigis round cheese was great! Im not sure of their cheese blend but it was delicious and made you want just 1 more!! We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza and they were some of the best shrooms! Next time I think we are going to eat outside on the patio.
I Always have great food and excellent service. We especially like Andrew! We often go in after work the last hour they are open on a Sunday and are always warmly greeted and never feel rushed! The Pizza is excellent and everything else on the menu has been delicious!!! One of our favorites ❤👏
It was a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly in spite of over hearing a conversation about lonely customers. The food was very good, you could tell that it was fresh and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was very soothing, quite ,and had a Zen energy to it.Probably never going there again due to the prices, but I would recommend it if youre looking for a casual meeting place to impress someone.
There is no doubt that the food is good but the customer service I just got on the phone from the manger was horrible. Not only did they give me the wrong pizza but it waa raw and soggy in the middle. When I called to tell them about it he all he said was what do you want me to do. My kids could have gotten sick from eat raw pizza. I dont even care about it being the wrong pizza but it was raw and then you had the nerve to get mad and tell thru the phone what do you want me to do. Thats no way to talk to someone spending money to pay YOUR bills.
My sister recommended this restaurant, I was skeptical. Everyone in our family loved the food, thats a first. My eight year old daughter asked for seconds and thirds, again - a first. The food was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. Being from Mississippi, I wish they would open up one here.
I cant speak to the quality of their pizza, ironically. I have only visited once for a bridal shower, but I find myself craving the dish they prepared for the main course. It was a breaded chicken with spaghetti in a buttery creamy sauce with peppers and veggies. The staff was great and very patient, not to mention quick to bring food and drinks. It felt very elegant and still cozy and personal at the same time. The dish they served seemed so simple but so delicious and I overheard the owner saying it is not a usual dish on their menu. I may go request it soon. Ill update if its still attainable without an event and tell everyone the name of it. I think I could even get my picky eater kids to eat it but theyd probably push aside the veggies. Its a great little place for a small event (not cramped for about 30? People but wouldnt reccomend too much more) or an afternoon lunch. Id even consider an anniversary dinner here, if you wanted to feel a little fancy without feeling like it is over the top and you are out of place.
They are FANTASTIC!! My husband & children love visiting and ordering from here. We love too many dishes to list! No microwave here... like Mamas kitchen, from scratch😋 We are happy to have this family owned restaurant right here in Livonia!! Close & super convenient. Keep up the good work👍🏻
From the minute you walk into the restaurant youre greeted with smiles. The food is excellent, made with high quality ingredients. And at the end you get a wonderful Andes mint! Decent prices, friendly staff, very cute environment. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a tasty and cozy pizza joint.
I give Luigis all 5 stars. Today is our 10th anniversary. We usually go out but covid changed things. We spontaneously ordered from Luigis and got wonderful food. We had it delivered, it came in the time quoted. My salad was so fresh it was like picking it yourself into garden. 5*s.
Im kicking myself that we didnt try this place sooner! My parents recently moved into Livonia and told us about this great pizza place. We all went there and agreed that we will never order pizza from another place ever again. The inside of the restaurant has a nice ambience for either a date night or family dinner. We went with my two year old son and order the family meal. You get a large pizza a fresh salad and amazing garlic bread. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic. Our new favorite restaurant!
Very nice place, but my pizza that day was way over cooked well done, not the best way to have a pizza , unless ordered that way.My pizza was ordered in the restaurant ordered to go, not good, but like I said very nice place and staff was very good to.Pizza probably very good if not over cooked, will try again one more time.
We enjoy the food. We ate there often and took advantage of delivery on busy nights. Convenient. However, I called for a delivery order and asked if it would be a problem for the delivery guy to have change for 100. I believe it was the owner taking my order, and he said no problem he would pass it on. When the delivery arrived, the driver had to go back to the restaurant for change. The order was wrong. I called the restaurant, was placed on hold over 5 minutes, and told the owner was too busy to take my call. I waited for the driver to come back and paid him. He gave me change $4 short. I tipped him $5 anyway. Not only was my food cold by the time I could eat it, as I mentioned the order was wrong. Would have been nice to resolve over the phone, or at all for that matter. We wont bother ordering there anymore.
My girlfriend and friends have been her a few times over the past few years. The food has always been good, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Its not a place you have to get dressed up to go to, but you could if you wanted to and you wouldnt feel out of place. I recommend it!
The food was absolutely delicious as always! But the waitress we had was really really bad. She made you feel rushed when she came by to check on you, she would be leaving the table during your response because she was in such a hurry. It is really too bad because generally we have really good service there.
We went there for dinner, first time customers. We were told there were no booths or tables open, that we could eat at their very small bar area or wait. After being seated, our waitress never introduced herself, just asked if we were ready to order. The Antipasto salad was terrible, and the pizza was fair at best. The waitress never one came to remove our dirty salad plates, ask if we needed refills on our drinks, she never asked how our meal was. I would NEVER recommend Luigi’s and we were very disappointed & never will return
I ordered the chicken piccata and I am very disappointed. Gave two stars because the toss salad was ok and service was nice. The entree was bland and certainly didnt taste like lemon. Assumed it came with pasta but it came with 5 really little potatoes, three maybe 4 pieces of broccoli, two string beans and maybe two artichoke hearts. Nice and soft but no flavor. Dont really think I got my money worth(after delivery fee came to $20 plus $5 for tip)The chicken was extremely thin and had a weird texture. Honestly turned my stomach and could only eat half of a chicken breast and a little bit of the veggies/potatoes. I threw the rest away. I looked at the reviews before ordering and 95% are good but mainly about the pizza. If I decide to return maybe thats what Ill order and hopefully will change my opinion about the place.
I stopped by here to grab a quick pizza and ordered up a small Italian sausage pie. The free bread service at the table was a nice touch and the staff was great, but the pizza was about the same size and quality as a Tombstone right out of the grocers frozen section. Seriously not impressed for $11. Maybe their other Italian dishes are better than their za?
Has been recommended by a co-worker that their pizza is delicious. Went and checked it out and it is indeed delicious! An avalanche of tastes in my mouth.Recommend it to pizza lovers and to anyone else.Clean place, friendly staff and good food! Thanks for the good and delicious pizza!
My husband is from Italy and very particular about Italian food We tried all the Italian restaurants in our area and he didnt like any of them We received a menu in the mail from Luigis, and decided to try it.It was WONDERFUL!! He had Veal Parmigiano and I had Seafood fettuccine {Fruite De Mare} We had homemade Tiramisu and Espresso for desert To die for!! They definitely have new customers We wont be going anywhere else for Italian food. My name is Linda Potestio posting under his name
Went here for my birthday dinner with the family. Ordered the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and no vegetables, came out with no spaghetti and vegetables.. Waited another 10+ minutes for a small bowl of spaghetti and by then the chicken was cold.Jenny finally noticed I hadnt touched anything when everyone else had finished eating and asked for the first time how everything was. When I said it was cold, I got Better luck next time. There wont be one.
Ok firstly we entered as a group of 7. Everyone ordered drink, we all received our drinks except for my mother. She waited patiently and as they sat the bread down she immediately asked for butter. My mother is a organic eater and she will not touch butter at all unless its real butter. The waiter came back with butter in the packs and she asked if he could soften it under there heat lamps. He of course obliged and took it away. She waited another few minutes until interrupting another server about the butter. She also mentioned she had not received her drink yet. The server left to go check on the butter, our original waitress came out with a huge bowl of whipped butter from the back. Clearly not butter and she stressed to our waitress in the beginning. Then said I cant eat this, this is not butter and I still dont have my drink and the bread was cold coming out. Her dinner meal was ruined and she was upset and telling our waitress then the manager walks out and without hesitation says what going on and my mother starts to speak and the manager immediately says you know what this dinner experience isnt going to work out and says he is going to tell his cooks to cancel our meal. No one was upset in our party except one and he didnt even attempt to rectify the situation. He immediately stopped our experience. I am in complete appall of how the situation was handled. I know I could not recommend this place. Poorly handled.
My husband and I are long term patrons of Luigis and they have never let us down. In the last 8 years since we have discovered this gem (before their remodel) they have been wonderful. The staff is kind and courteous. I love that this is a family owned business and I cannot rave enough about their lasagna. Though everything I have tried there has been awesome!
Made a reservation, checked in, we were told that there were just two ahead of us - an hour later and after five tables were sat before us, we finally were shown to a table. When we mentioned it to the host, the one that told us there were just two ahead of us, all he could do was back peddle, and he was not very good at it either. As people came in that the host knew, he would seat them right away; we were left standing, others behind us were left standing, so this is surely his normal way of conducting himself and therefore he should be terminated. We enjoy the food at this little place, but this has been a recurring event too many times, so it will be a long time before we attempt to eat there again and we will have a backup. In the meantime, we will go where we are treated equally with other customers, Antonio’s, just a few car lengths down the road.
When we arrived at the restaurant our family was already waiting. We sat dowm ordered our drinks and app. My mother in law requested a sample of a beer to try and recieved this. After the rude server took our order, my mother in law requestes bread with SOFT butter, and an actual drink of the sampled beer. We were brought cold bread, and rock hard butter. She requested the butter to be sat under a warmer to soften and about 5 minutes later we revieced a bowl of cooking butter(not the quality of the real butter we asked for and completely different). She asked for the beer when this brought and asked for the other butter back. The butter was returned(softened). She then asked the server for the beer again. She finally recieved said beer after almost ALL appetizers were ate. The owner then came from the kitchen and approached our table and said i dont think this dining experience is going to work for anyone, im going to tell the kitchen to stop your food. The owner was rude, unprofessional, and very un concered with the quality of the service or food.I returned to ask for the owners number when i was told who the owner was, he explained that he did not have to explain why, but he would and stated i could tell this experience was not going to work for anyone.I WOULD NOT support this buisness and the rudeness and unprofessionalism the owner.
Placed a large order for lunch today and these folks were spot on! They were friendly and helpful on the phone. We got exactly what I ordered. Delivered right on time. And the food was DELICIOUS!!! This is the first time I have ever had anything from here and I will definitely do so again.
Im not exactly sure how to share my thoughts about my recent experience with Luigis. I ordered a large traditional round pizza with fresh mushrooms, pepperoni and red onion. The fresh mushrooms didnt have much of a flavor and didnt resemble fresh mushrooms that Ive come to enjoy on other pizzas. The pepperoni was flavorless but greasy/watery. There wasnt much red onion on the pie. This pizza cost $15.50 and didnt taste as good as a $5.00 frozen pizza. This was, by far, my least favorite pizza Ive had in the last few months.
This place said dine in and actually smell wonderful but when my husband and I went in to dine in which Google said it offers and were people in restaurant eating and a person drinking at the barbut we were told no dine in as we could clearly see wasnt the case so for that reason I day dont go there
I went to Luigis a few times several years ago before they remodeled the restaurant; it was more of a pizzeria. I went there yesterday with my daughter and grandchildren because I had a taste for tiramisu. The restaurant is more of an upscale italian restaurant w/a full italian menu. Very intimate, and friendly. The food was excellent! I didnt take pictures, but I wish I did. The food was amazing.
We are working our way through the menu and every item has been my new favorite! From the homemade noodles, sauces, Arancini, Salmon or pizza pie, you cant go wrong. Ive even used them for catering at my office with rave reviews. Today people came out of the meeting to tell me how GREAT the food was, and that I had to get some. Thanks Luigis!
One of the hidden gems in Livonia (Rosedale Gardens area). Yogi Berra would probably say, no one goes there anymore, its too crowded!. Its usually crowded here because the food is excellent, the service and hospitality are great, and the food is delicious. If you havent tried it yet, I highly recommend dining at Luigis. You will be a regular, I guarantee it!
I have ordered from this restaurant for home delivery as well as eaten in this restaurant with family. I ordered a pasta with baked cheese for delivery, And I was charged for baked cheese I called to explain that. The manager was not understanding told me it was what it was. Asked him if he wanted me to bring it back up there to show him. And he said your not getting another meal. I’m busy!!! First off I said did I ask for a free meal I’m saying you charged me for baked cheese I should get that back or at least say next time you come in will come you for the bake cheese??? Worse conversation with a so called manager needless to say we won’t be back there again!!!!
Luigis is a nice neighborhood pizza place offering a variety of pizzas and a build your own option. In addition, they offer several pasta dishes and a few different salad selections. The pizzas are very good and the staff there is very accommodating. They also do take out and delivery.
2.65 STARS-FOOD IS VERY OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET. We had dinner here for the first time this week. My boyfriend ordered a calzone... $15.00. The server described the calzone as being a medium pizza folded in half. It turned out to be a very small medium circular piece of flavorless dough folded over a handful of canned mushrooms, a few pepperonis, and some oily mozzarella. No salad or anything else, just a weeks allotment of sodium... Fifteen dollars. COSTCO has better pizza at their food counter. We just wont even breech the topic of my Greek salad (very small, mostly iceberg lettuce,, hardly any vegetables...LAME). As for the restaurant itself, Luigis was casual but still kinda nice, and we were greeted by a polite staff upon entering. The service was just fine. Luigis offers an excellent selection of wine and beer. Meet here for some drinks and possibly dessert.
This is a great little spot for great Italian food...we ordered a few nibbles like fried mushrooms.... calamari....I got the chicken parm...my hubby ordered the lobster ravioli....if you go around 1:00-3:00 on a week day you might have the place all to yourself.....it was fantastic !!!!!
We love the food at Luigis. However the dine in experience my friend and I had last night certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. Our well coiffed blond waitress had one other table when we were seated. She took our drink and appetizer order. When she delivered our appetizer she took our entree order, and then disappeared. She finally came and asked if we needed boxes, we replied yes. She supplied the boxes and said she would be back with our bill. In the meantime she was given another two tables. She took the order from the corner table. Still no bill. She proceeded to the next table, obviously difficult people. I was quite obvious by now at my displeasure at being so ignored. You Mr. Owner had visited several tables and were aware of my displeasure but chose not to acknowledge us. You did go to the difficult table to help your waitress. She finally brought the bill over but never came to collect the monies. Three stars is generous for the experience we had in this restaurant. I love your fare and we do get carry out, but I will now rethink that too. Thank you for reminding me I left my leftovers. Jeanne McFarlane Livonia, MI
Me and the gang at work use to eat there least once a week. I could get a lasagna for like 7-8 bucks. Id get a piece of pizza or 3 to go sometimes to. I left that job and just came back a year later after the remodel. Now its trying to be some fancy pants upscale joint. Yesterday I paid 15$ for the same Lasagna. I had to get soup and the piece I got was smaller than ever. If they ever take off the fancy pants and put some jeans back on on Ill go back. Until then, Ill just go to East Side Marios next time I want to have a 20$ lunch
Im not usually a fan of Italian restaurants because I find them overpriced & the food too heavy, but I gave this place a shot & was pleasantly surprised. I came in for lunch & found they have very reasonably priced lunch specials. The Italian wedding soup was delicious & unlike anything Ive ever had. Their house salad is spring mix tossed with homemade vinaigrette, tomatoes, cukes, & cheese- soooo much better than your typical boring iceberg salad! The deep dish Popeye pizza was superb, with crispy edges & soft middles. Even the bread they bring to the table is better than your average, & I think its baked fresh daily in-house. The best part, for me, is that they offer espresso & cappuccino.
Looking for Italian food made by real Italians then Luigis is your place! We have been here often and can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. We love doing business with family owned businesses instead of chains and large corporations. If you do too, Luigis is your place!
Have been wanting to go there for years and just never did, finally did tonight, got the BBQ Chicken pizza, it was very good, waitstaff and everyone there were very friendly, ill go back again to try other stuff next time, full house too, definitely recommend this place
Small, elegant cafe to get some Italian food. I ordered the arancini appetizer and the make your pasta. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the chicken alfredo and seafood linguini. They serve olive oil and bread with every meal. Overall a nice place to go if youre in the mood for quality pasta.

2022-07-18We went here because my FIL wanted to come for his birthday dinner. I’ve never been here before, so I was up for trying something new. My in-laws were seated before we got there, so when we arrived, our server took our drink order. The dining room is fairly small and expect a wait if you come during peak times. There is a small seating area outside too, if you prefer that. I ordered the chicken piccata, and it was delicious. Nice and creamy and served with potatoes, veggies and a side salad. My husband got the lasagna and enjoyed it. We got a deep dish pizza for our kids, and it was not that good. My FIL got the veal parm and my MIL got the chicken parmesan and both of them really liked their meal. The bread was yummy, but could have had a bit more flavor, or salt. It was kind of flavorless. Our server was nice, but very slow and not very attentive. My MIL told me later she told her she doesn’t serve, she is a bartender, so that explained that, they were probably short staffed. Give them a try, they were very busy, which is always a good sign.

2022-04-18Luigis is an amazing. Today my server was Paige who was very friendly and super attentive with all her tables I observed. The chicken parm was top notch as usual. The owner interaction with the customers and staff always make you feel like your at home. I suggest you try the house made Italian and if you still have room the killer tiramisu.. if I could give this place 19 stars I would.

2021-09-07This place has been a staple of Livonia for years. It was nice to see a restaurant open for business. I started off with a Cabernet Sauvignon. The house Cabernet was actually very good. We ordered a couple of appetizers the antipasto platter and the caprese. Not bad.. Then came the salad, mostly endive no romain or iceberg lettuce in the mix.. I actually enjoyed that.. We also had the wedding soup and a minestrone, now that was delicious. Our main course we had lasagna with a side of Meatballs, veal parmesan, and chicken piccata. We finished with a Tiramisu, yum! All in all this is a good place for the money.

2021-09-05Luigis is pretty good. We started off with an antipasto platter oh, we ate it kind of fast so I forgot to take the picture. Then we had the caprese. My husband had the wedding suit and my friend had the minestrone soup. Not bad. We did had salads oh, those were made with endive. For our main meal I had the veal parmesan, my husband had lasagna with a side of Meatballs and my friend had chicken piccata. With it all decided we split a Tiramisu. This restaurant has been a staple of Livonia for many years. Im sure it will last many more years.

2021-07-02Tasty! Friendly staff! We have come here for dinner 3 times in 6 weeks. I had: Fettuccine w/mushroom sauce..... manicotti...... Fettuccine Alfredo.*Also pictured is Veal ParmesanIn our opinions, sauces needed more garlic, more flavor. The Alfredo definitely needed more cheese. Manicotti was delicious, poor plate presentation.

2022-03-02First time here. The food and service were good. That said, I was expecting a more family-friendly atmosphere, and the bar area is a bit too close to the dining room. If youre there with young ones, sit as far away from the bar as possible!

2022-03-05Great atmosphere and great food! The pasta was delicious, filling without being heavy. The vodka sauce on the lobster ravioli was amazing, and I could eat the minestrone by the bowl full! Highly recommend!!

2022-05-22Went for a baby shower. The place was a bit small so was crowded. Had chicken alfredo, which was a bit dry but good flavor along with baked chicken and tossed salad & bread sticks. Staff was rather nice & helpful in cleaning. I would try this place again. 😊

2022-03-18Wish I could have given Luigis more stars, but a group of 8 of us ate there a couple of days ago and here is what we experienced:First of all the side salads and bread they brought to the table were excellent! A good start. I had the meat ravioli and it was OK (I liked the aftertaste of the spices). My friend Dave had a draft Miller Lite that was a bit flat. My wife and another woman at the table both had spaghetti, one with meat sauce and the other with marinara. Both dishes were so salty (I tried it to verify) they couldnt eat their entrees. I told the waitress but they still charged us for both meals! (which is why we wont be back) I also tried the bambino (personal size) pizza and the crust was tough and lacked good pizza crust flavor. My suggestion to the restaurant is to make sure you taste what youre serving if you dontwanttolosecustomers!
